Speaker 1 (00:00):
Now I would continue on Fred Rogan Rodney Pete on
a five seventy LA sports, do not forget. How could
you forget? I mean two minutes ago I told you.
But I'll remind you. Somebody is going to see the
Dodgers and Mets tonight. That person can be and it
should be you. Well, you can go buy your own
tickets right now. If you want to do that, go
but tell them for it. Tell them if you want
(00:21):
to win tickets, tell them for it. You better stay
right here. You better not go anywhere. Bye. By the way, Yes,
we are giving them away this hour. By the way, Fred,
on that on that topic we just had before the
before the break. Yeah, there is Club Hide. It's still
at the crypt. Oh it is our Lakers and Kings games. Yeah,
it's still there. Called Club Hide, is what I was told.
(00:44):
I've never been in there. I have not either, but
apparently it's still going strong. And here's what I was told.
I don't know if this is true or not, but
since you brought it up, I was told they walk
around and identify people to invite in. Oh, so you
know I'd like to go, Hey, can I come in?
I don't think you're coming out here. No, no big
(01:07):
line outside of no you you you way in the back,
over here, you over there, not to you, not to
you guys up front. No, no, you guys aren't in.
You're coming in. I think that's how they do it.
The the eight frat boys that try to get into
front and front. No, no, they're not getting it.
Speaker 2 (01:24):
No.
Speaker 1 (01:25):
Let's say, you have to have a certain look apparently
to get it. Yeah. Yeah, you better have a certain
look or go with four women and then you can
you can get it. Yeah, if six guys try to
get in at the same time, they're not getting it. No.
I think they select the people. By the way, if
you've been selected to go to that place, callis I'd
like to know what it's like. Yeah, it's like six
(01:45):
ninety seven, two five seventy. If you have been to
Club Hide, you give us a call. Okay, we're not
giving the tickets away now, so you can call for
Club Hide. Don't call for the tickets you're not getting yet.
If you call for the tickets right now, are disqualifying
you for later and we'll remember your number and who
you are. So if you go in right So, if
(02:07):
you're if these calls are for club hide, we'll take them.
If these calls are for tickets, you're in big trouble
that block forever. Your blocked for a month. Oh you'll
be out, you'll be disqualified. You are done. We're not
taking them, all right. So Friday we're going to be
at Sketchers. Sketchers of course it's in Torrents pch right,
(02:32):
the New Sketchers there and we're looking forward to that
because we are going to be giving stuff away. Let
me give you the exact location at Crenshaw in Torrents.
At Crenshaw in Torrents p the New Sketchers noon to two.
We are giving away ten pairs of Dodger tickets. You're
not going to get those anywhere else. Also, Norman Powell
(02:55):
the Clippers will be there. And another special guest. Oh yeah,
Now we have found part of the interview we did
with the special guests from how long ago was this, Kevin?
Speaker 3 (03:06):
This is about a year ago? It was it was
May of last year.
Speaker 1 (03:10):
Okay, so anyway, I will now we will now tell
you the special guest played in the NBA, and perhaps
saying played in the NBA were being a little generous,
was in the NBA.
Speaker 3 (03:24):
For nine years for head. I mean, geez, well, there's.
Speaker 1 (03:26):
One thing you can't teach. And write this down Kevin
huh tall.
Speaker 3 (03:30):
That's true.
Speaker 1 (03:31):
You can't teach somebody to be fast, and you can't
teach him to be tall. So this person had been
in the league and actually played when Michael Jordan played
and recalled this story.
Speaker 2 (03:44):
Well, well, I playing against Jordan, and of course we
knew that we were gonna have feil as being and
I wanted to make sure I was that my a game,
and I just came. I can remember just just allowing
him to steals in the sports, know, so he can
rock the crowd. You know, wait, wait.
Speaker 1 (04:06):
Wait, man.
Speaker 4 (04:10):
Said you allowed Jordan to have two steals.
Speaker 1 (04:15):
He rocked the crowd.
Speaker 2 (04:17):
I threw that. I threw the ball right right in
the right, right in the lane so that he could
get it, so he could rock the cow. But you know,
I was I don't know what I was thinking. Back
to hell. I wanted to see what he was gonna
do myself. You know, he was such a such an icon,
and you know he could fly and all this old stuff,
So hell, I want to see what he can do myself.
Speaker 1 (04:40):
I got the.
Speaker 5 (04:45):
Oh my god, Oh my god, I've never ever, ever, ever, anyway,
I gave him two steals so he can rocked the CD.
Speaker 1 (04:58):
I just wanted to see what it was about myself.
Everybody wanted to say. I wanted to see. Oh my god,
oh my god, that was so funny. Oh man man
o Vin. I couldn't let him. I couldn't let him
go past it because he's trying to just go past
that part. Allowed him to get two steals on purpose.
(05:18):
Oh my god, you know what, I know. We said
we weren't going to do it. Let's just do it.
Do what he can tell it again Friday to tell
the other story. Run the other one, all right, give
me a second, pull it out, okay, So anyway, it's uh,
it's good, figured it out. They know who it is now,
all right, So well we'll play the other one. Then
(05:39):
we'll tell you who it is. And there's a movie
about him. And he came out to talk about the movie.
Sean g is somebody that listens to the radio show
and has produced a movie on this individual. So we
had him on to talk about it while they were
shooting it last year, and now he's gonna come on
Friday Live because the movie is done and that Michael
(06:00):
Jordan's story was great. The story that always came to
mind with this individual is when he couldn't play in
a game because he took two of the same shoes
with him. He didn't have, so Kevin two left shoes?
All right? Here a little bit of.
Speaker 3 (06:21):
A longer clip, but yeah, here's him explaining it all out.
Speaker 1 (06:23):
Okay, go ahead. Did you were you unable to play
in that game because mistakenly you actually packed two left shoes.
Speaker 2 (06:36):
Shoes?
Speaker 1 (06:37):
Yeah, the two left shoes. But NOI okay, Freddie Okay,
proud of you. Fred.
Speaker 4 (06:42):
A lot of debate whether or not he was gonna
ask you that question, but NOI so now that he
did ask you the question.
Speaker 1 (06:49):
But NOI first off, it's you know what happens, right,
it happens.
Speaker 4 (06:54):
You know, you're you're rushing, you're packing, you know, mistakenly
take two left shoes instead of the.
Speaker 1 (07:00):
Right and the left.
Speaker 2 (07:02):
No, but there wasn't Howard had to Okay.
Speaker 1 (07:05):
Good, I knew there was something more to the story.
Go ahead, go ahead, I know there's more to the story.
Speaker 2 (07:11):
I was running late and at the time we was
flying commercial and I had left my sneakers. I had
a bunch of sneakers in the trunk of my car,
so I just reached in there and grabbed two shoes.
And then when I got there, it just happened to
be that there were two left shoes for me, just
not looking, just grabbing shoes out of my trunk.
Speaker 1 (07:30):
So he couldn't play in the game because he had
two left shoes. Our guest will be Benoyd Benjamin. It's
so funny. He is so funny. Oh my god, Yeah,
it's gonna be. It's gonna be a treat.
Speaker 3 (07:52):
So Rodni, you never crossed your mind. Let me throw
the ball to Rod Woodson just I want to see
what he can do with it.
Speaker 1 (07:56):
Yeah, you know, yeah, it'd be like yeah, Rod or Dion, Right,
I'm gonna I'm gonna throw it at the prime time
so I can see him high stepped down the sidelines
just to rock the crowd, my home crowd, by the way,
he came to town, So I'm gonna throw it and
and let him rock the home crowd, doing the home
(08:17):
crowd of favor.
Speaker 3 (08:17):
But no, he didn't know that Jordan was on the
marque when they did come to town to play the Clippers.
Speaker 1 (08:21):
So true. It was always come to see Michael Jordan,
come see Yeah, that's what comes see Michael, come see
Larry Bird and the Celtics at the sports Arena.
Speaker 2 (08:30):
Right.
Speaker 1 (08:31):
He took care of it. He fed the guys on
the market. I'm trying to remember. Do you guys remember
did he want it? Did he want chicken while we
were doing that? Do you see to remember all he
wanted was chicken.
Speaker 3 (08:48):
I don't recall that part of it possible.
Speaker 1 (08:52):
We gotta have some food to sketch you something. Yeah,
that's what I'm saying, Yeah, we better have chicken.
Speaker 6 (08:57):
Because I think that's how he got him to do that,
because as he took him out for chicken and explained
him what was going on, explained what was going to happen.
I thought I remembered that. I'm not but that sounds
familiar to me.
Speaker 1 (09:10):
Thank you running. I thought there was chicken involved.
Speaker 3 (09:16):
The only way he did the interview was if Shaun
g gave him chicken?
Speaker 1 (09:19):
Is that what I think? That's what it was was
that's how he bribed him. Yeah, I think he had
to take him for chicken and then he said he
would do it so somebody stop at Ralphs and get
one of those chicken and bring it to Sketchers.
Speaker 3 (09:34):
Because there's a there's a Shaky's right up the street
from that, uh that new Schedules that's coming up, So
go grab some fried chicken and bring it over to
but oh, we.
Speaker 1 (09:42):
Have to do that. He'll probably love it. So anyway,
he is going to be there on Friday. Uh, too bad,
we only have a two hour show. So funny, so funny.
(10:03):
Oh god, that is gonna be fun so all right,
we hope to see everybody in schedules. All right, So
now let's talk about the weekend the Dodgers had. Well,
they took two or three and they win the series.
Certainly the matchup between Otani and Aaron Judge played out
big time. I think Friday night, Oh O'tani captured the
imagination of the nation when he hit two out, don't
(10:24):
you think so, Rodney, Yeah, off of Max Freed. Yeah, absolutely,
absolutely their ace and and I think you know he
he especially captured the moment because Judge went first. Right,
It's usually always the second guy that gets the uh
the more of the tension because because that was the thing, right,
Judge is the home run in the top of the
(10:46):
first and everybody's wondering, everybody, you know, everybody in their mind, Okay,
how is Otani gonna respond? Does Otani respond? How will
he respond? Can't he respond? Judge at one? Now it's
Otani's and then mount You mind the build up pressure
that that was for I'm sure for Otani in his
(11:07):
home stadium and people looking at Judge at that home
run and now all eyes are at him, and I
remember the camera going to the dugout and looking at
him going, Okay, what's he gonna do? What's he gonna
do when he gets up and he's the first hitter?
And Bang answered that bell Fred? That was That was
That was a clutch, a moment in the regular season
(11:28):
that I that I can remember because it was because
it is. It's a pride thing la New York. It's
always a battle, la New York Yankees Dodger is always
a battle. And Judge set the tone. But our guy
came back and said, Okay, hold on, hold on, we
got something for you too. You know. It's kind of
like when you know ice Cube set the tone, but
(11:51):
then Fat Joe couldn't really answer it. That was ugly.
That was bad. That was a bad day for Joe,
bad day and the Yankees. Yeah, it was bad, But
that was great though it was it was a great moment,
(12:12):
and I do I think it obviously it would have
been fantastic for a sweet but and and Ned Kelletti
said that that it's I think it's going to be
a good thing. I agree with him. I think it's
gonna be a good thing. That the Dodgers are going
through the stretch now just playing the Yankees. I got
the Mets. They're gonna have the Padres twice and what
in ten days or something like that. They they're going
(12:37):
to get challenged. And I think the more they are challenged,
the the better that they play. And and hopefully that
is the case during these next two weeks of games
because they are they are going to be tested, which
they were this past weekend. But it was it was
a great series, not only for the Dodgers, but I
(12:58):
think for baseball as well. Just get an early review, yeah, right,
As I always say, a little litmus test, it's kind
of see where you're at, kind of check in and
see where you're at. That Annihilation of Saturday will be
my favorite game of the year by far. Yeah, that
was just unbelievable. And I know it's one game, So
(13:18):
what do you think the rest of the league looked
at that? Because it's obviously it was a national game.
People are watching, even guys you know their games are
over there going and watching that game, and fans about
the cities are watching it. What do you think to
take away from that game on Saturday was from the
rest of the fan bases around the country in Major
League Baseball, you better watch your ass, That's what takeaway was. Yeah, oh,
(13:39):
are they doing this with all the people hurt they
got Yeah, and Moki didn't even play right. It was like,
oh my god. Oh you know what if we didn't
think they were real, they're real. Yeah, you know, sure
they might lose here or there. Well, apparently when they
want to win, they can win. That's what people thought.
They thought. Oh good lord. Yeah, well that's what all
(14:00):
that money buys you, that kind of thing. Yeah, oh yeah,
we're worried about Otani and Freddy oh wait, Kaoscar oh oh,
Tommy Edmonds oh oh wait, and now Max Munsey's hitting
uh oh. So it is that row that we talked
about earlier. In the season. Fred, It's like, there is
(14:22):
no there's no weak spots up and down that lineup,
and don't relax because Keik could beat you too. Yeah.
I think that was just a direct message to everybody,
no matter what you think, no matter what, when we
want to turn it on, this is what you're gonna get.
(14:42):
I mean, that was that was humiliating. I'm telling you,
it would have been better for the Yankees to lose
eighteen to two to the Marlins than the Dodgers. It
would have been better for them to lose to anyone
because every team has that. Everybody's going to get it
once in a while on that stage. Oh my god,
(15:03):
the national Game. That's embarrassing. There's no two ways about it.
And I'm sure you know. So they get Sunday's game,
they get out of here and go, well, you know what,
we're good. We got the last one we played against them. No,
you don't forget that. You think it's better or worse.
Yougn who had been better for either team depending on
what you think. If Yamamoto pitched in that second game
(15:27):
that they beat him eighteen to two, Like, what would
it takeaway be from that situation if he would have
been the one instead of Landing Neck pitching in Game two.
Do you think people have looked at it like, oh
my god, and their ace shut us down except for
the two home runs, because it kind of gave him
(15:49):
some It kind of gave them a little bit of
saving grace that, you know, going home, because they'd beat
Yamamoto and knocked them around a little bit on Sunday,
so they could go home and go, Okay, we got
one from him, and we got one of the best pitchers.
But if he had shut him down and they won
eighteen to two on Saturday, then it would have been
I think really like, oh yeah, you guys, when they
(16:13):
want to do it and they want to come with it,
it's straight on strength offensively and defensively, we're in trouble.
You're right. It would have been worse for him. Yeah,
it would have been far worse if Yamamoto would pitch Saturday, Yeah,
and they'd beat him eighteen to two, because then they
would have thought they were insurmountable. And if lander Nat
(16:33):
goes out there Sunday and gets beat they you know,
the argument could be made. Yeah, but he wasn't. See. Yeah,
when their guys are really there. Yeah, it's a whole
different story, right, So it's kind of a blessing for
them that Yamamoto wasn't pitching Saturday. Yeah, I really believe that.
And you said Sunday and you're so right. I mean,
(16:55):
first inning, Pa has throws to the plate, okay and
just kind of airmailed one. Yeah, so he would have
had the guy to play, yes, okay. Yeah, so now
the runner is going to second. Yeah, Mamoto picks it
up and rifles it down there they got him and
keyk missed the ball. Yeah. Imagine if that play happens,
(17:18):
could have been an entirely different game. Yeah, change a
whole complexion. Yeah, because he Yeah, Momoto goes in pitches.
I think he threw another fifteen sixteen pitches that any
you know, and at that point it's just a matter
of time before he's coming out of the game. Oh yeah,
it's crazy that way, you know. And even with you know,
(17:41):
the Dodgers come back all the time. But you know,
I think the and the Yankees have done that too.
They they can put up runs when they want to.
But I think when the Dodgers scored in that on Saturday,
they scored early, they think, and the Yankees are like, Okay,
it's not too big a deal. We can we can
come back. A lot of game left when they made
a ten to nothing after too any was it?
Speaker 6 (18:03):
Now?
Speaker 1 (18:03):
It's to track me? How's to track me? Now? It's like, okay,
let's get that position player ready to pitch. I like
what Mickey Rojas gets in. I mean, this year, he's
probably got as many appearances as Evan Phillips had. He
probably doesn't hurt. Yes, yes he does. I am telling you.
(18:25):
I said this earlier in the show. If you're just
jumping on, you know, we live in this world and
it's very important to us, and we love it, and
we're very fortunate to be in it, and we talk
about sports every day and it's a hell of a
way to make a living, and if you're a fan,
it's a hell of a way to go through life.
I mean, you're just invested in it. The majority of
people seriously don't care. You should know that. You go, well,
(18:46):
everybody I know who cares, but you don't know everybody.
You don't know everybody because everybody really does it. But
the people that do really do. Sunday I talked to
I don't know, Randon, maybe two different people. I'm here
in town. They were all talking about the Dodgers, and
I gotta be honest with you, I don't know if
they even watch a Dodger game. I don't even know
(19:08):
if they watched the Dodgers on a regular basis. But
that was so unbelievable that people that just casually follow things,
we're all talking about that beatdown, right, Yeah, yeah, I agree.
I was there. I told you people didn't want to leave.
Norm Really, if that game gets like that and it's
(19:30):
six seven, any people out there gone. People didn't want
to leave the stadium. They were enjoying every inning and
every moment of that game. By the way, did the
fans take my advice and actually watch the games or
were they on their phones and all that kind of stuff.
They were into it. They were into it by the
sounds and the and the way it was going. They were.
(19:51):
The more fans were into it, I believed they went
into it. I think they wanted to miss anything. It
wasn't like a casual game, right, like a casual game
in end of May, early June. It was like a
September meaningful game, October meaningful game. So yeah, they were
(20:12):
into it. I just got a text from Sean g
Yeah he wants fried fish. Oh yes, Oh it's a
(20:34):
beautiful Monday, y'all. Yes it is, Rodney Pete, fred Rogan,
don't forget to join us on Friday at Sketchers towards
special guest Norman Powell and as you know now but no,
(20:54):
Benjamin will join us with some fried fish I understand
is going to be on the menu also before the
end of the show. Then we have two more tickets
to give out. Freddy, Oh, we've got tickets. Yeah, we've
got another pair of tickets. Should we do it now? No,
not yet. That was a tease. We'll do it soon.
(21:15):
We'll do it soon. All right. So you got the
NBA Finals starting you have there. It is the Pacers
and the Thunder. Now, if you look at these two
tea first of all, the argument, well, ABC is going
to be upset, and the ratings and nothing really has ratings,
so don't kids yourself. Live Sports does better than anything else.
(21:36):
But the ratings aren't what they used to be. So
that's what you got. You got the Pacers and the Thunder.
I think it'll be pretty interesting. I think Oklahoma City wins.
But no, what are you saying The networks don't care
about the ratings anymore. They do because it's still a
metric in which they sell, but the ratings will never
be what they were, you know. So if we talk
(21:58):
about if we talk about ratings for and we talk about, well,
the game did a whatever number on ABC and they've
got the finals. Yeah, but they're streaming involved. There's all
kinds of things where you can access the game, so
it's not just the television number anymore. Those numbers are
(22:19):
spread out, so you get impressions and some of them
come from streaming and digital social media and all that. Yeah.
So I mean all of that counts in in the
way they do it now. But so the argument, well,
this is a bad matchup. It is the matchup. So
let's start with that. It is what it is, and
you move on number two. I think it's fascinating seeing
(22:41):
these two teams because of the way they're constructed. Yeah,
I mean, Tom say it's save people say it's save it. It
is going to save the NBA because of the way
they play, And yes, it's you're not having the global
superstars in the finals, but you got complete teams that
actually played good defense, and they play as a team,
(23:02):
and they're playing nine to ten deep. You know, they're
playing with depth. So this is exactly what the NBA
should be, is what a lot of people are saying.
I don't argue that, Yeah don't. I don't take exception
to that. I think the NBA should be more like that.
But the NBA is star driven. Back when NBC got
(23:22):
the contract and thirty five forty years ago, when CBS
was out out of the NBA and we took it
at NBC, they started promoting it with the stars. You know,
it'll be Michael Jordan again, it's Magic Johnson. That's how
they started promoting it. And the players really took more
ownership of that league than any league. It is about
(23:44):
the stars in the NBA. So then what happens These
guys get paid more and more. Lebron James will make
fifty four million dollars. Does he deserve it? Well, he
puts a lot of people in the seats, I'll tell
you that, so he probably deserves it. But what is
that Christmas Day viewership? Right? We talk about ratings, the
impression Christmas Day, him and versus Steph going to do
(24:05):
a crazy impression number. I should say, yeah, those games
would have done historically well. But the problem is when
you start that and OKC is going to figure this
out pretty quick because they have this young team of
guys that they drafted and developed, well, their deals come
(24:26):
up and all of a sudden, you can't keep all
of them anymore because they're all going to get paid.
Because that's the NBA model. The NBA model is you're there,
you start to get paid, and all of a sudden,
you get paid an awful lot, and now you can't
keep everybody. That's the problem. That's why this is a
bit of an anomaly. When these guys get good, they're
(24:48):
not everybody staying. Yeah, they've got this year and maybe
one more year maybe of that of this, you know,
and then like you said, those guys are going to
get paid, those guys are gonna have to because you
can't pay You can't pay more than two guys fifty
million dollars, right, And when you start that, then you
(25:10):
got to start filling in. Yeah, the old filling it
come to Phoenix Suns. You pay them the Phoenix Suns,
you know, and they've become very very top heavy and
we're seeing depth and defense wins nowadays in the NBA.
Right now, everybody loves Kevin Durant. I mean, he still
loves Kevin Durant. I wouldn't have my team. I wouldn't
(25:32):
take him. He costs too much. He's not enough to
get you over to the top. He costs too much.
Maybe the model has to be We've got to find
and identify and I'm sure they exist. By the way,
we got to find a lot of Austin Reeves esque
skill level players where I mean you have to have
(25:54):
centers forwards. They're not all Austin Reeves, but they're all
pretty good. Yeah, maybe not one of them is spectacular,
but eight of them are pretty damn good. Yeah. What
Boston model, right, Jason Tatum, Jalen Brown, two guys you pay,
but you got Al Horford there that can play. You
(26:14):
got Derek White there that can play, and Drew Holliday
that can play. You know when they won it that
they pay, but they're not. They're not making forty fifty
million dollars, right. You know that's probablyhy the way you
gotta do it. That's why they say, well, you know,
Austin Reeves is the Lakers got to keep him because
(26:36):
of his contract. Yeah, fourteen million. Yeah, he's a bargain
at that at that price point. See, the Lakers are
the ones that started this. Really when Jerry buses here,
we're going to get the stars. Gotta have stars, got
to be exciting, gotta win. Two of the three will
fill the fill the stadium. Two of the three will
(26:57):
fill the stadium. So they have Lebron now and uah,
there you go. You can't get much bigger stars than that.
But they cost a lot of money. Yeah, what if
the Lakers didn't have Lebron or Luca? What if they
had eight guys with the skill level of Austin Reeves
or a tad bit better, but not Luca's skill level.
(27:21):
They all played together and they're all good, but nobody
was a superstar. And by the way, for whatever reason,
they didn't get hurt. Those eight guys, I think they'd
actually have a legitimate shot to win the whole thing.
Really good players, not superstars, but really good and a
(27:43):
lot of really good players. I think they'd have a
chance to win. Would it work here? There's no giant star.
That means you wouldn't have Luca or Lebron. Right, you
wouldn't have either one. You might be able to do
it and get through there once, but you certainly couldn't
go back to back. You couldn't sustain it. I don't
(28:05):
think you could sustain it because there would be too
many teams like you. You would have to you, you
would every game would be somewhat of a dog fighting
kind of close, you know what I mean. You go
in even you know most most most of the playoffs,
and against good teams, you go in even not necessarily
(28:29):
a favorite, So those games could go either way.
Speaker 3 (28:31):
Like even with there being more of an emphasis on
team basketball. I mean, all the even the final four
teams that were left in the conference finals had a star.
You have Shae Yodos Alexander, you had Anthony Edwards, you
had Tyre's Halliburton, and you had Jalen Brunson.
Speaker 1 (28:46):
Yeah, just not the ones we've been used to and
accustomed to over the year. Right.
Speaker 3 (28:50):
So, but there's still start the idea of having a
deep roster of eight or nine guys who are all talented,
but none are a superstar. I think only gets you
so far. You still need to have a standout player,
even if it's just one. Maybe it's one instead of three.
But the super teams we've seen over the last fifteen years.
Speaker 1 (29:06):
Right, gotta have a guy. Yeah, absolutely, eight six, six, nine, eight, seven, two,
five seventy. Now it's time. Who's going to see the
Dodgers and Mets tonight? You will have those tickets within
minutes if you win them. Rodney would call a numbers going,
I like number five? Fred? Oh, yes, back to wrap
(29:29):
it up, Rodney, Pete, Fred Rogan who won? Fred who
got them tickets? Freddy? All right, big day for Amy
and Rancho Kook. There you go. Amy, you better get moving,
you a. You better start heading up here because you're
going to the game tonight against the Mets. That's right,
(29:50):
that's right, you're going. Amy. So last hour was our
turtle on riverside. This hour it's Amy and Rancho Cook.
I'm gonna have the best time ever. Enjoy yourself. Uh,
it'll be fun, be fun to get out to the stadium.
Dodgers took two or three from the Yankees, and they're
right in the midst of now something that's going to
pretty much tell us where they're at. They're playing good teams,
(30:13):
so this will be fun against the Mets tonight and
you're going Friday, don't forget. We are going to be
and you know where. We're going to be at Sketchers
on pch at Crenshaw in Torrents twelve to two. Norman
Powell the Clippers are going to be there. First thousand
customers we'll score a free sketcher's tote or hat, so
(30:35):
you're getting some swag. There's more limited time. Two pairs,
buy two pairs of shoes, get a third pair free.
And if that's not enough, I mean that should be
enough for anybody. Yeah, after you hear that, you should
be driving down there just to wait right now, I'm serious,
get in line. I'm telling you I'd get there four
days early because you never know what will happen. But
(30:57):
maybe this will put you over the top. We got
ten pairs of Dodger tickets to give away in two hours,
and the only way you can win them is to
be there. And you know what we'll do each time.
We're gonna give them away on the air, Kevin, We're
gonna give the people the tickets on the air, not
in the breaks. So you got to be there.
Speaker 3 (31:18):
Why'd you say my name like that by the person
that fights against these ideas.
Speaker 1 (31:22):
I encourage the air Kevin hardcore hell like that, because
you know what, because I don't want to get the
stink eye side high. And that's why I said that.
Speaker 3 (31:33):
I wouldn't.
Speaker 1 (31:34):
I don't know if you would.
Speaker 3 (31:36):
I've not done that. We've done multiple, re multiple We've
given them away on the air. You guys have read
the raffle numbers on the air. We've done this before.
I haven't given you the stink eye.
Speaker 1 (31:44):
Come on up here, Joe in the back.
Speaker 3 (31:45):
Come on, Joe, I give you the stink eye over
thousands of things, but never that.
Speaker 1 (31:50):
All right, So we're gonna do that on the air.
So you got to be there Friday, all right. That's it.
That's enough, Ronnie, Thank you, Kevin. Good to see you
for sure. Yeah, Rottney, you got them tomorrow, Yes, sir.
I
