But let's talk mistletoe. Anthony do you have my favorite
song by.
Speaker 3 (06:11):
Justin Pity Guys food the streets spreading so much?
Speaker 2 (06:17):
What is it? And why do we kiss under it?
And why did Justin Bieber do that song? Oh no,
I love that song, I really do.
Speaker 1 (06:24):
Well. Mistletoe is a parasite and it's poisonous. It forms
bushy clumps on trees, and it will make you or
your pet pretty sick if you eat it. So it's
got these little white and red berries. It makes it
look so christmasy. So why is it a big deal
at Christmas? Well, in mythology it symbolized love and vitality,
(06:46):
So as part of an early holiday custom, men were
allowed to steal a kiss from any woman caught standing
under the missletoe. If she refused, it was bad luck.
You can do what you want with that information. But
all I'm saying is mistletoes are trending today. I'm Sunday
ninety nine point one, Houston's holiday music station.
