You Need to Know for You Feel Good, Friday, December twentieth. Well,
the FDA is going to be changing things around again
again when it comes to what defines healthy foods. On
the new FDA label, healthy foods are going to have
to contain a certain amount of food from healthy food

(00:24):
groups like fruit, veggies, grain, Dairy. Food products must also
limit added sugars. So what used to be considered healthy,
like some cereals, yogurts, and granola bars, will no longer
be considered healthy because of the high sugar content. Yes,
Lesson learned a U of H graduate, Kenneth Kaffer, was

(00:44):
walking well. He didn't walk across the stage to get
his Sports administration degree. He wanted to do a backflip.
Didn't work out well. Instead of landing on his feet,
he landed on his neck. Dean had to come rushing
over to make sure he was okay. Very embarrassed gone
viral on TikTok. I don't think you want to go
viral for that anyway. So what do you do with
the embarrassment. Well, you start your new job. Yep, he's

(01:06):
got a new job. He's going to be working with
college students, and I'm telling you, Kenneth is going to
tell them, don't be me.

Speaker 2 (01:11):
He was humbled early on.

Speaker 1 (01:13):
Oh yes he was, Yes, he was. And I was
humbled by my husband, by you. You guys didn't believe me,
and I stood firm you did. It was a can
true that jumped in front of my car Wednesday morning.
And there is a hunt for Rowdy. The Roue TV
stations out in Sealy area last night, ABC thirteen, Fox

Speaker 2 (01:34):
I was the last known person to see Rowdy. That's wild.

Speaker 1 (01:37):
We're still trying to find Rowdy. If anyone has information.

she is just.

her girl. And you can call the Austin County Sheriff's
Office nine seven nine eight six ' five thirty one eleven,
or just reach out to me and I will get
you in touch with and I will tell you that
Rowdy is more scared than it's true.

Kind of a Christmas miracle. Just days before Christmas, Crystal
and Eric's home goes up in flames. It started in
the garage, Anthony. This story reminded me of you. Oh
my God, you're fire that started in the garage, three children, pets,
Everyone got out safe. It really is a Christmas miracle.
And even though they lost so much, including Christmas gifts,

(02:57):
they are optimistic. They said, God is so good. They're
together unharmed. God, they see, will rebuild this all ten
times better. Crystal isn't worried at all, and she says
that she's staying with friends and family right now. They
have set up a go fund me and they're trying
to make ends meet. If you want to help, you
can go to help Crystal's family rebuild after fire for

(03:21):
all the details. Producer Anthony Dane.

Dana in the Morning and producer Anthony we Are Houston's
holiday music station, had the pleasure of meeting Marsha. She
is a kangaroo mom who's got a lost kangaroo named

(05:24):
Rowdy on the loose. And I went over there last
night because TV stations ABC and Fox twenty six trying
to help her find her beloved Rowdy. And we've got
Marsha on the phone. Now, Marsha, you had a busy
day yesterday.

Speaker 2 (05:38):
How are you doing? Give us an update?

Speaker 4 (05:40):
Yes, And we were late last night with the thermal
drones and I mean he covered so much area. Nothing.

Speaker 1 (05:46):
Well, the thing that we were talking about yesterday is that,
first of all, Rowdy is about five feet tall. Rowdy
is more afraid than anything. But the good news is
Rowdy eats grass and hey, and there's a lot of
farm land out there, so he might have just found
a comfortable area to kind of hole up until mom

(06:09):
comes to the rescue. And maybe a person who's got
a ranch out there isn't aware of all this news
coverage that that you've been getting.

Speaker 4 (06:17):
Yeah, And I hope, I hope somebody hears sees anything,
and then they just go out and look or check
anything's possible. We just know from the drone, from what
we've seen that he is not within three or four
miles of here from the drones last night.

Speaker 1 (06:33):
But you said that kangaroos don't use scent like dogs, right, correct.

Speaker 4 (06:37):
They don't so, and they get spooked and scared pretty easily.
So it's allowed. You know where you last saw him,
the truck stop, allowed, truck noise turning on or something
could have spooked to me more. And he just went
until he found some comfort, you know. And because it
was a chrisp night or Chris morning.

Speaker 2 (06:55):
Yeah, it's very foggy too, kept going.

Speaker 1 (06:57):
Yeah, And the thing with that that I learned from you,
kangaroos are nocturnal, so they're doing all their activity at night, sleeping,
dig in a little hole in the dirt to kind
of lay down during the day. And Rowdy has a brother, Rocky,
who is just the sweetest little kangaroo. And Daphne, you
are a room mom. How did you fall in love

(07:17):
with kangaroos?

Speaker 4 (07:18):
We saw one at the Hunter's Extravaganza. Guy was bottlefeed.
It was a baby baby, and I was like, oh
my gosh. So I did my research and you know,
kept asking people and researching and calling the pet ranches,
the exotic pet ranches, and I found one and I
was like, I have to have him. And that was
Rowdy and he was our first one and we just
had through the joy with him.

Speaker 2 (07:40):
You share Rowdy with people.

Speaker 1 (07:42):
You brought Rocky out to Galveston on the Strand and
just made an elderly lady just so happy when she's
able to pet a kangaroo.

Speaker 4 (07:51):
You have so many people said, oh my gosh, I've
never seen one in person, and I mean we've had
people cry just the joy it brought them just even
look at see one and pettit.

Speaker 1 (08:01):
You know, well, we just paying Marsha that Rowdy comes
home for Christmas. I know the Austin County Sheriff's got
a number out there nine seventy nine eight six, five
thirty one eleven. If anyone sees Rowdy Kangaroo, hop it along.

Speaker 2 (08:18):
You can't miss it.

Speaker 1 (08:19):
Even though no one believed me when I said, you'll
know where the cagrew. So we keep praying and we're
just getting the word out. I know, you had ABC
thirteen out there, Fox twenty six, the nicest people trying
to get the word out for you. You're a precious lady.
I loved your husband, Mike, and we just want Rowdy
to come on home.

Speaker 4 (08:36):
Thank you. I do too, Thank you so much. I
do too.

Speaker 1 (08:39):
Thanks Marsha. We're going to turn this into a good
news story. We're all praying for you.

Speaker 4 (08:43):
I appreciate you. Thank you so much.
