we have got We are Houston's holiday music station with
the three things you need to Know to get your Tuesday,
December sixth started. Now, you guys in Tomball, you've got
to plan your day tomorrow around power outages and road closures.
I know, smack dab in the middle of the week, right,
It's all going to begin around seven tomorrow morning. They're
(00:23):
going to be replacing polls, transformers, power lines around the
one hundred to four hundred block of Main Street.
Speaker 2 (00:31):
There's going to be road closures.
Speaker 1 (00:32):
That's going to affect traffic, so be prepared for delays
in addition to power outages, and hopefully it'll be less
than eight hours.
Speaker 2 (00:41):
Then that is like all day long on to Fort Bend.
Speaker 1 (00:45):
Fort Bend ISD plans to shut down seven elementary schools
and they're going to add one middle school. It's supply
and demand. Austin Parkway, Dulles, Fleming, Glover Mission, west RidgeGate
and Sugar Mill will close and I guess there's just
not enough students for those schools anymore. Getting older middle
school now is definitely needed there. So who will perform
(01:09):
at the Milan Winter Olympics opening day, none other than
our Queen of Christmas.
Speaker 3 (01:17):
Shall get ready for Milano Cortina twenty twenty six. See
you at the Stadio Sanzio on the sixth of February
for the Olympic opening ceremony. Chi vidiamo Amilano.
Speaker 1 (01:29):
Wow man, She's the first international star to perform again.

be able to make the move by this time next year.
They've got welders and carpenters and painters all sprucing it
up to make it look like it did back in
mid nineteen forty five when it was helping the Allies
win battles. They're going to be spending something like eighty
(02:22):
two million dollars restoring this incredible ship.
Speaker 2 (02:25):

Speaker 1 (04:43):
Now I'm Dane with producer Anthony, and we are Houston's
Holiday Music Station. We learn really impossible question, Anthony. Adult
children really want airplane tickets from mom and dad for Christmas.
They want to get away. They're getting out of town
from it all. You know, I love going to I
love price Line. I also love Expedia has some great
(05:07):
and what I do with Expedia is I always put
in a place that I'm dreaming of going and I
tell them please let me know when the tickets are
really cheap. So maybe that's what you could do. You know, Oh,
you like a price yes, a price alert or whatever.
If you've got a destination that you want to go
to do that and show mom and dad. Look, I'm
trying to be really responsible here. And the tickets right
(05:29):
now are only one hundred and thirty dollars instead of
four hundred and twenty five dollars.
Speaker 2 (05:33):
Deal though, if that was the case, good deal.
Speaker 1 (05:36):
That's what airplane tickets would be quite a luxury this year.
Speaker 2 (05:40):
I'm doing growth.
Speaker 1 (05:42):
I asked everybody their favorite place to get their groceries.
Speaker 2 (05:45):
Oh, I mean, that's that's good though. I like that.
I thought that would be kod That's clever. I do
like that. What would you.
Speaker 1 (05:52):
Want you're an adult child, what would what's your dream
Christmas gift from that? What?
Speaker 2 (05:56):
Mom and dad? What you just described is awesome. That's
that's a great gift.
Speaker 3 (05:59):
Right.
Speaker 4 (06:00):
So what we we got for all our siblings and
they're all adults obviously, and then my parents as well too.
We found these like because we know we know everyone
has one of these, like they like to cook outside,
they have got a grill, right, and so we got
these like bluetooth thermometers for everybody. They're really cool. They're
they're like maybe like I don't know, six inches long.
(06:21):
It's like this thing that you know, you'll you can
inject into whatever you're cooking and stays in the grill.
But it's like linked to an app and you can
set it to like a target temp and as soon
as it hits that temp, it'll like hit you. And
I tried it out this past Thanksgiving with the turkey,
and I was like, Okay, I'm gonna I'm gonna test
run this and then if we like it and everything's cool,
I'm gonna get We wanted to get them all for Christmas,
(06:42):
so that's what we got everybody. And then and listen,
this was hard to come by because we don't know
what to get anybody, Like each year is a struggle,
and so this I know this year Jess had like
we it's a it's a company we use it's GOV
and we have like a lot of their like Bluetooth lights,
the Christmas lights. And then when we saw they made this,
I was like, let's try to see how it is.
And it's great. So we're actually really excited to hook
(07:03):
everybody up this year. That is a great.
Speaker 2 (07:05):
Yeah, just something different. I mean, we're here to help
you because it can be really hard hard gifts.
Speaker 1 (07:10):
We shall less than two weeks away from Christmas. Let
us know what you've come up with, some genius idea
that you're doing this year. Share it with us so
we can kind of steal your ideas. Seven five ninety
nine one seven twenty one. Anthony should be part of
that group, but he's busy here. That's Pentatonics on sunny nights.
Speaker 2 (07:31):
That would be fun.
Speaker 4 (07:32):
You'd be really, really good. Anthony's got an excellent they're
amazing a concert by the way, if he ever get
to check them.
Speaker 2 (07:37):
Out, I know.
Speaker 1 (07:38):
And they use their voices such creative percussion everything. Love
them very talented. Seven twenty one. I'm Dana with producer Anthony.
We are Houston's holiday music station. On a really pretty Tuesday, Sonny,
we're gonna go up to fifty eight tomorrow sixty eight
and on Thursday seventy eight, possibly for the high Right now,
(07:58):
it's cool, it's forty five in Uptown. And we learned
that adult kids want plane tickets for Christmas jets.
Speaker 2 (08:06):
Wow, I mean that's a nice idea, a little pricey.
Speaker 1 (08:08):
Thanks, guys, Unless you're smart and you've had a great website,
we're asking you what you want for Christmas. Give us
ideas now, We've got a thirteen year old mom, Amanda
with Azy who's thirteen?
Speaker 2 (08:18):
Now, what do you want for Christmas? Love?
Speaker 1 (08:22):
Oh?
Speaker 2 (08:22):
Let me?
Speaker 4 (08:22):
I mean you have entire lists stuff for school and
stay organized?
Speaker 1 (08:28):
Okay, okay, Now when you say stuff for school, does
that mean school clothes, a backpack, new shoes, what kind
of stuff like books and paper? Like?
Speaker 2 (08:41):
Oh yeah, you have a like MacBook prow air. Wo mom, Mom,
what's the price range of that? These days? It's like,
oh my god, I.
Speaker 1 (08:56):
Mean that should qualify as Christmas birthday and your wedding gift.
Speaker 3 (09:00):
Yes.
Speaker 4 (09:00):
Agree.
Speaker 2 (09:01):
If that define point could just move over one way
to the left, it might be a little more doable.
Oh my gosh, that is crazy.
Speaker 1 (09:08):
So mom, how are you dealing with technology and Christmas
gift buying and sticking to a budget.
Speaker 2 (09:15):
What are you going to do this year? I mean,
you love your kids, of course you want to get
them some neat gifts.
Speaker 3 (09:20):
So my husband travels with time, so honestly we use
a lot of his travel points to convert it.
Speaker 2 (09:25):
To the gifts you can purchase all the very smart.
Speaker 1 (09:29):
That's all right, that's a smart way to go about it.
I love that, Amanda. That's some great. That's a great
idea right there. If you didn't do it this year,
make your plans to use your travel points next year
for Christmas gifts. That's really his genius and Asy, you've
got a very smart mom.
