is Houston.

Speaker 1 (00:17):
You can thank the tolls and the time spent in traffic.
And it gets worse for Houston. Yep, we're the third
most expensive in America. Oh, we spend just under seven
percent of our income on commuting. Our average commute thirty
one minutes. New York City came in number one. San
Diego comes in number two. Speaking of New York and prices.
(00:38):
Just over two weeks away from the Assos opening day
playing the New York Mets, and the cost of tickets.
These are our cheapest tickets, which actually are the sixth
highest in Major League Baseball, fifty five dollars for opening
day Astros against the Mets.
Speaker 2 (00:53):
That's without the fees. Oh yeah, I always got to
include the fees. These could be like twenty bugs.
Speaker 1 (00:58):
That adds up y'all rund But but let's get it perspective.
Because the Dodgers one hundred and thirty nine dollars eighty
and the Rangers one hundred and nineteen dollars.
Speaker 2 (01:09):
So our didn't sound that bad.
Speaker 1 (01:10):
Really right, And we had hundreds of people showing up
at city Hall yesterday paying their final respects to our
former mayor, Sylvester Turner. One woman said she was shocked
to hear that he had died. She has fond memories
of him on the dance floor, said that he loved
to dance. She said he was relatable and approachable. He
died on March fifth. He was seventy years old. And
(01:32):
your weather today is going to be a beautiful, breezy day.

There's a stripper out in Galveston who's still going strong
at the incredible age of ninety one years old. His
name is Jerome Coons and Trippman's been a way of
life for him. He started doing it with his dad
when he was just ten years old and today he's
the oldest active shripper down Galveston. His daughter in law, Nicki,
started joining him on the boat back in twenty eighteen.
After this shit the shrimp Diva, that's the one. I
love her, So she joined him back in twenty eighteen,
(02:10):
just sharing some adventures with Jerome, who she affectionately calls
Pops on her social media pages. Nicki said she just
started doing videos fins and the whole process of bringing
the shrimp in and it kind of took off. She says,
everybody wants to see this man, and Pops has been
an inspiration. Nicki said that when she starts to feel down,
starts to feel maybe a little achy, she just says,
what would Pops do? And you know that's got to
be so special for him too, to get that time
(02:31):
with his daughter. Find her video see their joy on Facebook.

right there.

gets a call from the Humane Society saying that they
(03:23):
found her dog. Will, Her twenty one year old son
has special needs and speech problems. The only word he
can say is erics and when he found out his
furry friend was coming home, he was beyond excited. And
like I said, volunteers and staff are working tirelessly to
help save these animals. And a woman has been questioned
(03:44):
who was on that bus. No arrests have been made yet,
but so far at least one of the animals, one
of the dogs. Man, isn't that crazy? It is but
such good news as they continue to help the animals
