just become the highest paid police department in the state
of Texas. Yesterday city council okayed a nearly one billion
dollar agreement with raises over the next five years, total

pay increase close to forty percent. Well, earlier this week,
we talked about fulsher being one of the fastest growing cities.
Montgomery County, we're learning today is one of the fastest
growing counties in the country. Conro in particular, the city
has a population in twenty ten of fifty thousand. Today
it's over one hundred thousand. So big issues include infrastructure

and traffic and hurricane season a week from Sunday, June
first to the end of November could be active. Now
we're going to get the outlook of hurricane season twenty
twenty five will be released today. We're expecting seventeen tropical storms,
nine becoming hurricanes, and four potential major hurricanes. Again, hurricane

season starts on June first, whether today May twenty second,
it's gonna be hot. We're gonna go up to ninety two.
It's gonna feel like one hundred because that humidity's back.

We do have flexibility with our Zoom meetings. I love
that so much. Also huge get to meet some amazing people.

Actually they have moved all their training for their aircraft
mechanic to Houston, So I worked in the technical Operations
training center.

Oh wow, that's okay. So Christah, does that mean you
get to fly for free?

Yes, ma'am. Oh that's awesome.
Speaker 1 (05:13):
Day when you were trying to get this job, was
that like your main goal? I just want to travel?
So this is what I have to do in order
to make that happen, or did you just want to
work with United?

It was by accident.

I got a call for a job and I went
in and found out that what I was hiring for
was United and the training center.

And I was super excited because they're my favorite airline anyway,
uh huh, And so it was I don't know. Everything.
The flying is wonderful. The team that I work with
is great. We get to meet all the.

New mechanics coming through and have a hand and helping
them become safe and on their.
Speaker 4 (05:53):
Way to their careers. So I don't know, it's a
win win win.

Christ that like a perfect job. And what are your hours?
