they are things in Galveston that people just love. But
how about this whale watching?

Speaker 2 (01:53):
Yep.

One of the rarest whales in the world. Only fifty
to one hundred of them exist in the world.

Speaker 2 (02:00):
And they were seen once again.

Speaker 1 (02:02):
One of them was off the coast of Galveston, and
last year they were seen as well. It was Captain
Brandon Overton and Nate Wrestling fishing out there. When they
saw this incredible rice whale and the.

Speaker 2 (02:14):
Water coming out of its low hole, they were like,
it's an amazing experience.

Speaker 3 (02:19):
Now.

Speaker 1 (02:19):
They were added to the endangered species list in twenty nineteen.

Speaker 2 (02:23):
They're smaller than other whales. Listen to this forty two
feet long and thirty tons.

Speaker 1 (02:29):
They're five times heavier than an elephant, just to give
you some perspective. And apparently they are just loving are
Galveston and we do too.

the list, one of which is a Houston fad So,

Speaker 1 (03:39):
That sounds delicious. Well, we go from extinct to everywhere.
They're called the unnow lizards. These small green lizards just
scurrying up and down trees all over Houston. They're the
most common species of lizards. And then there's the other one,
the brown annal. And these are the ones that you're
seeing scurrying everywhere on the ground and you can watch

(04:03):
for them. Apparently they love our climate. You can watch
as their throat fans out. Now the guys use this
fanning throat to attract the girls. The green on als
have a pink throat and the brown ones have orange.
Very cool to watch, especially with the kids, as they
just scurry all over the place. Hey, we have our

Speaker 2 (04:40):
It Feel Good Friday the thirteenth.

Speaker 1 (04:42):
We're talking about things that you might be afraid to
do in public, but you overcame it, so now you
feel good.

Speaker 2 (04:49):
About it, and we're asking you. We've got Fred calling
in from Stafford. Now, what's it for you? Fred?

Speaker 3 (04:54):
Yes, I did. I found the confidence, but what scared
me was jobbing and out of me.

Speaker 4 (05:01):
Oh my gosh, interviewing. That can be so hard. Yeah, sod.

Speaker 1 (05:05):
So what did you do to overcome that fear and
hopefully find the job of your dreams?

Speaker 2 (05:11):
And now you're feeling good?

Speaker 3 (05:12):
Well, first I tried not to get fired, so I
had to look for a job. But before that, I
was just I warn't glasses, so you know.

Speaker 2 (05:20):
I was.

Speaker 3 (05:20):
I was. I'm pretty much blind, so I warn't glasses,
so I take my glances off when I was in
front of the interview or interviewer interviewer. So I just
I just took my glass off so I could look
at a square in the face, couldn't see a damn thing,
and it worked. I wouldn't I want to scare it off.

Speaker 2 (05:33):
Wow, that's actually bad terracles. You can't see them. Honestly,
it was so good.

Speaker 3 (05:39):
That I was crazy because I was just staring at him.
Was just death fair. But I had all the confidence
in the world in because I couldn't see it. Everything was blurry.
It was perfect.

Speaker 2 (05:47):
That's amazing. What a great, great strategy.

Speaker 1 (05:51):
But what else were there any you know, to ask
you at the end of the interview, Well, you know,
do you have any questions for us?

Speaker 3 (05:56):
Oh? Yeah, When they started asking questions and I have
to think about some things that I didn't research it,
I didn't plan it. It does get a little scary,
and I just start trying to make them laugh. And
I know they're human. Even though they make more money
to me, they're still human. And I just start trying
to make them laugh and smile a lot, and they
forget all about my nervousness, and I forget about my nervousness,
and I easily get the job or a dog. But

(06:17):
at least I had a good.

Speaker 1 (06:18):
Time, exactly the way to go. It's not worth doing.
So did you get your job? Yeah?

Speaker 3 (06:24):
I did get my job.

Speaker 2 (06:25):
Yet what kind of what kind of business do you do?

Speaker 3 (06:27):
Well? I think I've talked to you guys before. I
do a lot of uh, pet sitting. I'm almost the
I've worked for a company company called Fruber, and I
do pet sitting. And I drove people to the airport,
so I don't have to interview for the airport stuff,
but for watching dogs and cats, I have to interview.
So I have to be in front of the people,
in front of the dogs. The dogs try to attack me,
or they love me. You never know what you know,

(06:50):
I had a little trees. I kind of flipp in
a little tree, so you know, they love Uncle Fred
after that, and then they love it.

Speaker 1 (06:55):
We love Uncle Fred. Made us feel so good on
this day. What a great attitude. Thank you for sharing it.
Love and I'm glad that you listen.

Speaker 3 (07:05):
Oh I do I do time
