Sunday ninety nine point one Houston's Best Variety of the
eighties nineties and today six fifty four. Now I'm Dana
with producer Anthony and the three Things you Need to
Know to get your Thursday, January twenty third started. So
how did Houston do during this historic winter storm Endzo. Well,
let's see, no deaths on the roadways or due to
(00:20):
carbon monid poisoning residents. Heated the warnings and stayed home
Tuesday and Wednesday. Mayor John Whitmeyer is saying, dang near perfect.
And also the warming centers worked and they hadn't in
the past. Thirteen hundred people walked through these ten locations
of warming centers. No one was turned away this time around.
(00:42):
So it was really a very great response though to
really a historic storm HPD HFD. They helped transport homeless
people to these warming centers, and there were reports that
three homeless people did die from the cold outside in
different parts of Tempa Anthony. When you go downtown and
(01:02):
you see the homeless, it's amazing that not we.

new new area code number YEP six ' two one
goes into effect today, joining seven.
Speaker 2 (01:29):

was coming. I just can't believe it came here. So
I know that quick. Do you know they've had that
on hold for ten years, knowing that we were going
to run out of the area codes. Is that crazy?
Got a plan ahead right?
