the Rookie of the Year and the Lifetime Achievement Award
went to HPD Senior Police Officer David Sears Senior. Can

Recently, our Texans held the Flag Football Championships this past
Saturday over at the Houston Methodist Training Center. They launched
this back in twenty twenty three. The Texans girls flag
football program has now grown to include more than eighty
high schools across Houston and Texas, featuring more than two
thousand female student athletes, and it was the female athletes
from High High School that clinched the title for Hi.

They were cheered on by Texans players and the Texans
Foundation VP Hannah McNair. The Texans are hoping their support
is going to help flag football gain even more traction,
with aspirations of the sport being UIL sanctioned in Texas
and adopted at the Division I college level. But congrats
again to the girls from Heights High School taking the
win at the Texans Flagged Football Championships.

Can't wait to see the sport grow even more. It
is so much fun it was. I love it and
I love this.

Jarvis Anderson's all about overcoming adversity. He learned from his
dad when kids wouldn't hang with him because he was deaf.
With the kids bullying him, his dad said, look, you
can't control what they do, but you can control how
you feel. Well, Jarvis took those lessons to heart pursued
his passion for track. He is now a superstar at
steven F Austin. He says deaf people can run track

and deaf people can do anything they want to do.
Oh and he's also on the football team. He says
he was winning this weekend. He won the Southland Conference
in the four hundred meter hurdles, and he says now
he hopes to make it to the Olympics in La
