point one, Houston's Best Variety of the eighties, nineties and
today teen in the Morning and producer Anthony one of
the biggest money wasters atm fees. But when you need money,
you got to do it unless you plan ahead. So
now that led us to think about, well, what are
some good money saving hacks. For some people, it's not
(04:29):
spending money, but Bob, my husband, that's not realistic. For others,
it's looking for amazing sales, right, Jess, I love it
and exactly, and we are asking you about your money
saving hacks that you've discovered that's really kind of changed
your family's life and we need that especially these days.
And we've got Lydia Lydia calling in from Fort ben County.
(04:51):
So what is your money saving hack for me?
Speaker 4 (04:54):
But I have a hard time telling my husband paint
cash at the pump. That helps me a lot because
I'm getting used to having cash on me. But usually,
like if prices were two fifty at the pump, if
you pay cash, it'll be two thirty nins.
Speaker 2 (05:11):
Oh that's right.
Speaker 3 (05:11):
Yeah, I always see that extra amount there, and.
Speaker 1 (05:14):
You know, you never see it until you get up
close and then it goes cash only and you're like,
dang guys, dupe me because I accided the freeway because
I saw the big numbers.
Speaker 3 (05:24):
But you didn't see the cash.
Speaker 2 (05:24):
I see the cash. Oh, Lydia, that is so.
Speaker 4 (05:28):
Smartly, I have saved so much money doing that. But
trying to convince my husband, I say, what are you doing?
You go to the store, buy something, get cash back,
and fill up with cash because you save a lot
more like that. That's just me.
Speaker 1 (05:42):
You are so smart, Lydia, because you always can get
cash back at the store. Cash you right there exactly.
So how much how much are you normally putting into
your vehicle?
Speaker 4 (05:52):
I drive a truck normally when prices are higher, like
maybe fifty sixty dollars, But now I've gotten it down
to the last one. I paid two thirty nine and
I filled it up with forty dollars.
Speaker 3 (06:06):
Yes, wow on a truck.
Speaker 2 (06:08):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (06:09):
Oh I love it, Lydia. That is priceless advice. Thank
you for sharing. Thank you love you too, Bye bye, Lydia.
Speaker 3 (06:18):
Let's sit up the spring and speak with Steven.
Speaker 1 (06:20):
Since we waste money on ATM fees, do you have
a money saving hack that you used to save money
in your own life.
Speaker 2 (06:28):
Actually, you know, I statched money in my room and
envelopes and bags. Oh one of those.
Speaker 1 (06:34):
Oh so, how are you assuring yourself that the money
doesn't get stolen or you forget about it or lost?
Speaker 2 (06:44):
What do you do? You know, I've done that so
many times. It's not even funny.
Speaker 1 (06:49):
Money.
Speaker 2 (06:50):
I gotta tell you I had one one time. I
had it in an old jacket in the restaurant in
bar business. When I was in the restaurant bar business. Yeah,
I had a good night of like gambling at the
dog tracks. I put it all in my right pocket
and I was out on a dance floor. Oh oh,
and I ordered around the drinks for the bar, and
(07:11):
they came up and told me how much it was.
And I thought I had my money situated. I went
to pull out. I thought I had one. To pull
out a twenty like eighteen thousand dollars foo all over
the dance floor. I thought, okay, that money's gone. I
got every dime back, even money, never again after that.
I went straight to the bank after after that and
(07:32):
opening an account.
Speaker 1 (07:33):
Oh my, don't put eighteen thousand dollars in your coat jacket.
Speaker 2 (07:39):
No, ma'am, Never again.
Speaker 1 (07:42):
Stephen, thank you for sharing. That is some wisdom right there.
