eighties nineties, and Today Jane in the Morning and producer
Anthony with the three Things you need to Know to
get your Tuesday, May thirteenth started, the record setting heat
wave begins today.
Speaker 2 (00:13):
We're going to go up to the mid nineties.
Speaker 1 (00:15):
The record to beat was ninety four degrees set back
in nineteen o seven. Now tomorrow even hotter. This is
crazy ninety eight for the high.

They say that the power grid is going to be
okay during this increased demand, but I do like that
Energy Energy has announced yesterday it's going to acquire eighteen
natural gas plants across nine states, including Texas, doubling the
power generation capacity.
Speaker 2 (00:56):
We like to hear things like that. And then there's this.
Speaker 1 (01:00):
My sister in law is driving to San Antonio as
we speak, and I keep thinking this summer, when you
drive to San Antonio, you're gonna be looking to your
right or your left, and you're gonna see an eighteen
wheeler with no driver. Bought Bought Auto's the driverless fleet
is on the well this summer, debuting driverless eighteen wheelers.
They're gonna be transporting product between Houston and San Antonio.
(01:24):
They're already making the trips, but there is a driver
right now. So Bought Auto says their trucks don't make
the same error as humans make. Bart Teacher, one of
the directors there, says that his trucks drive better. And
Anthony's looking at me and talking about humans that don't
drive very.
Speaker 2 (01:42):
Is that some humans point fingers.
Speaker 1 (01:45):
I make all the mistakes that a human would make,
and they say the trucks are gonna drive better. We'll see, okay. Anyway,
weather today, like I said.
Speaker 2 (01:53):
Super hot.
Speaker 1 (01:54):

Tell me something good brought to us by our friends
at Goodwill Houston. More business coming to Houston, that means
more jobs. Yes, the Northwest Houston Industrial Corridor getting another
major player in Graceis Technology, will invest twenty million dollars
in a new facility just off Fairbanks North Houston Road,
constructing a seventy three thousand square foot building. They are
(02:38):
adjoining Apple and Navidia. They're having some new facilities being
built in the area as well. Just in Grace's Technology
alone could be adding six hundred new jobs and eight
one hundred jobs that will be associated with them. I mean,
that's some good news for our city. Producer Anthony Day.
What a journey these kids have had.
Speaker 3 (02:59):
Iyasu is from Ethiopia and for many of his early
years he was waiting for his siblings for someone to
adopt them. His mom passed away when he was young.
His father wasn't around, so they all ended up at
an orphanage well a world away. Here in Texas, a
young pastor and his wife were considering adoption, Ryan and
Jessica Walling.
Speaker 2 (03:15):
They dove into research.
Speaker 3 (03:16):
Found a picture of Yasu and his beautiful siblings. They
just knew these kids needed and deserved a family, so
they began the process that would forever change their lives.
And when they all finally met, Jessica just realized this
was the right thing to do.
Speaker 2 (03:27):
Yasu and his two.
Speaker 3 (03:28):
Brothers, brothers Joseph and Solomon, along with their sister Rachel,
found love with Laporte's Ryan and Jessica Yasu.

All district linebacker. He's headed an A and M in
the fall, and the rest of the kids are thriving.

can completely transform lives. So congrats to the Walling family
out in laport opening their hearts and home to even
more love, even from across the ocean.

Speaker 4 (05:25):
I do it on my own. I don't have time
to waste.
Speaker 1 (05:28):
Oh oh yeah, that's the way I feel. So when
you go to the grocery store, I mean, what's your mission,
busy lady?
Speaker 2 (05:38):
What do you do?
Speaker 4 (05:38):
It is price and it is good food. But what
I use that helps me? And you talked about when

really organic. There's an app that I have, let's call
U cuff why you katy. It has a little carath
on it. You scan the bar code of any food
that you're putting in your mouth. It tells you all

the chemicals that is in it and what it does
for your body.

Okay, So what is the worst food we could eat
based on that app that you've experienced? You know what?
Speaker 4 (06:21):
It varies because things that you would think is not
good for you. When you scan it, it's telling you
that it's eighty five ninety five out of one hundred
and some that is organic is thirty nine percent, which
is pore all bad.
Speaker 1 (06:36):
Oh wow, my gosh, that is a bit. Now, what's
the name of the app again, Roseanne?
Speaker 2 (06:43):
Uca y uk cu why?
Speaker 4 (06:46):
And it has a little carrot as a symbol.
Speaker 2 (06:49):
