This is exciting. Our Rice Owls will be starting a
new quarterback next weekend. He's one of our own too.
His name is Chase Jenkins, a six foot ninety pound
dual threat listed as a redshirt sophomore on Rice's website.
He has the speed they say to extend plays other
qbs might not. Chase ran both the one hundred and
two hundred meters dash throughout high school, and as mentioned,
he's a hometown guy. Chase began his high school journey
(02:55):
as a standout quarterback at Belle Airpispol during his freshman
and sophomore years. He then transferred to Taylor High School
his junior year, and Chase was considered a three star
prospect when he enrolled in the spring of twenty three
over at Rice, playing in four games his freshman season,
completing ten of sixteen passes for eighty five yards. We
can check out the debut of new quarterback Chase Jenkins
starting for our Rice Elves against the University of Louisiana Saturday,
(03:16):
August thirtieth at seven pm over in Lafayette. You can
catch the action on ESPN Plus. Can't wait to see
our hometown boy on the big stage.

It's amazing and.
Speaker 1 (03:23):
This is really amazing too. Big congratulations to Spring ISD,
the first school district in Texas to earn the region's
highest level certification for active shooter preparedness. This certification requires
districts that meet twenty one safety standards, communications, detailed campus
mapping for first responders, controlled access procedures. It took them
(03:47):
more than a year of hard work and teamwork for
this incredible certification because they're all about safety for everyone
on campus. So congratulations to Spring ISD. Have set the standard,
the bar super high and for our feel good stories
each weekday mornings set a preset on the new and
improved iHeartRadio app to Sonny naety nine point one Sunday

Speaker 2 (04:15):
Producer Anthony Anthony.
Speaker 4 (04:16):
I've got a.
Speaker 1 (04:16):
Big piece of paper on my dining room table. I've
been working on my family tree, starting with my mom
and dad and Bob's parents, then Bob and I, and
then our kids and then their I mean, we've got
twelve grandkids now, and I'm looking at all these kids
trying to put out birthdays and personalities. I'm using my
life path numbers to help people understand my kids' personalities.
Speaker 2 (04:39):
And then there.
Speaker 1 (04:40):
It's this huge project and I'm looking at it going,
I don't have time to relax and rest.
Speaker 2 (04:46):
I've got to, you know, take care of all these
people and serve all these people.
Speaker 1 (04:50):
And I say this because we learned this morning in
our nearly impossible question we should have ten hours a
day dedicated to rest and relaxing.
Speaker 3 (05:01):
Now that I don't know how I can fit it
in that includes sleep, I'm guess seeing I know, right, okay, And.
Speaker 1 (05:06):
I love I love some of your answers up on
our Facebook. That's our question at Sunny ninety nine Houston,
Ari and Lisa, how many hours a day should you
rest and relax.
Speaker 2 (05:16):
Their answer twenty three.
Speaker 3 (05:17):
Twenty I wish I could be there. I mean, I
like what they're putting down, though I'm picking it up. Yep,
eight hours of sleep for Anne as I like Michelle,
as much time as needed, or hey, twenty four hours.
That seems to be twenty four hours. That seems to
be a theme here. I'm guessing surely it depends. Lisa
twenty three hours. You guys, are I love y'all? Adriana
(05:41):
only putting four hours, Bobby put an hour, and Denise
says I give too much.
Speaker 4 (05:46):
That would be Dana giving too much.
Speaker 2 (05:48):
But I don't look at it that way.
Speaker 4 (05:50):
No, of course, not, of course not.
Speaker 2 (05:52):
Kind of like, this is what I'm just gonna do.
Speaker 1 (05:54):
I tell you you too much, you have to do it.
I'd say, I get to do it correct, right, That's
the way it is. What about you, the hours per
day that you dedicate to rest and relaxation.
Speaker 2 (06:05):
I want you to paint us a picture.
