gem here in Houston, celebrating offhundred years. It looked so different when
it first opened back in nineteen twentythree. I'm talking about Miller Outdoor Theater.
It was an original amphitheater surrounded bytwenty Corinthian style limestone columns. It
was so small, but so beautiful, with a dedication plaque that read the

arts of music and poetry and dramaand oratory by which the striving of man
seeks to interpret the words of God. This theater of the city of Houston
is permanently dedicated to a Miller OutdoorTheater into an amazing place, and tonight
a big celebration at eight thirty.As you're sitting there, look out at

those live oak trees that are sohuge. They were just little biddy planned
in a hundred years ago. Tonight'sgoing to be classic albums, live performs,
Sergeant Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band withthe Houston Symphony. Totally free,

We're always talking about the good thatGoodwill Houston does for the community, and
here's just another example. So foryours, Lillian struggled to break free of
an abusive relationship, toxic environment thatresulted in a criminal record, which of
course impeded her ability to get ajob, and she needed help. Well.
A visit to a local food pantryback in twenty twenty one changed everything
for her. It was there shesaw Goodwill flyer and ended up enrolling in

their Life Launch program. It's aprogram that serves adults between eighteen and twenty
four who've been in the justicism thatprovides educational and employment assistance, financial coaching,
goal setting, work readiness, allthis stuff. Lillian received all of
this to help her gain the confidenceto focus on the future. So now
Lillian is tackling a new challenge.She recently began graduate school of the International
Development and Social Anthropology program in London. Amazing. So congrats to Lillian on
