it to enter any federal government buildings, boarding, domestic flights,
and regular lines at the DMV have been growing and growing.
As a matter of fact, you've actually got to set
up a reservation. Some areas of the state, the waittime

(01:10):
it's the least wait time only fourteen days now. You
can still use your regular driver's license or state based
things like banking, driving, and voting. And some Texas senators
have introduced a bill to get this Space Shuttle Discovery
back to Houston.
Speaker 2 (01:28):
It's currently in Virginia.
Speaker 1 (01:29):
This new bill would get it back to Johnson's Space Center,
and it was supposed to be there and be on display,
but for some reason it never happened. The weather today, beautiful,
sunny today. Actually through the weekend and right through next
week it's going to be sunny.
Speaker 2 (01:44):
We'll go up to eighty.

Brought to us by our friends at Goodwill Houston. Well,
the Art Card Parade Parades Downtown starts at Dallas and
Bagbee at two o'clock tomorrow afternoon. One of the entries,
I mean, there's like entries from twenty three different states.
Bailey Waters loves the Art car Parade, has been doing
this with her.

heard of it, the Hippie Saurus.

I love that one.
Speaker 1 (02:22):
Well, now it's her turn her first solo entry this year.
She has transformed it's not a car, it's not a train,
it's a plane. Does she transformed this old plane into
a colorful work of art. Really is beautiful. It's entitled
Flying High. She teamed up with her dad on this
project and he is so excited to help. His name
(02:46):
is Lou and he couldn't wait to get started when
he learned her idea. She bought the plane from Facebook marketplanes.
Oh my gosh, right, and she then set out to
design what her ideas were. And he is there, Dad,
Lou is there to help her every step of the way.
So it's a totally free event. It's going to be amazing.
(03:06):
But she's not the only one with a very unique entry.
There's another artist, but this one is only nine years old.
His name is Lincoln Still and he is entering a boat.
Well it's actually a volkswagon boat and it's called body
mcboat Face. And see his dad, Justin Now he's Lincoln
(03:29):
is the designer.
Speaker 2 (03:31):
Justin just kind of builds what he designs.
Speaker 1 (03:34):
And this body mcboat face is filled with paint and
glitter and imagination and Justin even offers inspiration.
Speaker 2 (03:44):
Now, remember He's only nine years old.
Speaker 1 (03:46):
He says, if you ever want to give up, never,
never give up.
Speaker 2 (03:51):
I love that. So it's going to be a lot
of fun.
Speaker 1 (03:53):
The art car Parade again starts tomorrow afternoon at two,
beginning at Dallas at bagby producer's Anthony Dan.
Speaker 2 (04:00):

Speaker 2 (05:25):
Today's our feel good Friday Show.
Speaker 1 (05:27):
We love to hear stories of maybe people who made
you feel good this week, maybe you've made someone else
feel good. Anthony sharing the most adorable picture of his
mom's new pets, new little Doggies, after she lost her
puppy a couple of weeks ago. So that was smart
to go get those new new doggies right away. I
love that bringing some joy into the home. I've got
(05:50):
my mom getting her permanent teeth on Monday. She's almost
eighty nine years old and an incredible doctor, Landry, who
believes in her. And it just makes you feel good
that someone has your mom's back like that. It's really cool.
And we're asking you what about your good news story?
We got Maria calling in from Cyprus. Now you're a
school secretary there, Okay, did the students make you feel
(06:11):
good this week?
Speaker 2 (06:12):
Or maybe you made them feel good? Of course, of course.
Speaker 4 (06:15):
You know it's always great when you make a connection
with high school students.
Speaker 2 (06:20):
You know that's a difficult crowd obviously.
Speaker 1 (06:23):
When they come to you for the little things, it
warms your heart.
Speaker 2 (06:26):
That's awesome.
Speaker 1 (06:27):
What do you think it is about you, Maria that
makes them want to connect? I try to understand them.
Speaker 2 (06:32):
I don't you know, judge the kids. I just you know,
lend in the.
Speaker 1 (06:35):
Air, and that's sometimes that's all they need.
Speaker 2 (06:38):
All true, such a great thing. Are you are you
a mom? Do you have kids? I am a mom.
Speaker 1 (06:44):
I have two kids. I have a twenty year old
and a twenty seven year old, so you're used to
that connection, right, you know, yes, yes, you know.
Speaker 4 (06:51):
I always made sure that I had open lines of
communications with my girls, something I didn't have with my mom.
Speaker 2 (06:58):
So I made sure, you know, I.
Speaker 4 (07:00):
Just stay open when the kiddo's approached me. Maria.
Speaker 1 (07:03):
I love that you do not have to repeat the
mistakes that our parents made.
Speaker 2 (07:08):
Right, we can learn from the cycles. That's right, that's right, Maria.
Speaker 1 (07:11):
I love that the kids are super, super happy. I'm
sure and very lucky to have you as the secretary
there at school. Maria, thanks for sharing, and we're so
glad you listened to Sonny. Do you have any weekend plans?
With this gorgeous weather.
Speaker 2 (07:24):
I'm going to try to go to the art car
parade yoah yeah, well be prepared. Lots of people going
to be out there, but it'll be well worth it.
Thank you you guys have a great weekend you as well, Maria.
Let's head over to Katie and speak with Pat like
a happy lady. Do you have a feel good Friday
story to share?
Speaker 4 (07:42):
Yes, the other day we helped one of our neighbors,
our capture dog in our neighborhood. The dog was running
around loose all over the place, even came up to
our puppy kiss her and oh, where's your mom? Where's
your dad? And so we're looking on our page and
there it is.
Speaker 2 (08:00):
My doll got up.
Speaker 4 (08:01):
We called her and she's like, my husband's his way
to pick her up. Like, okay, great, where are you guys? Like,
we're right there by the park, by the playground, Like okay,
well we are too. This is where your dog is
at him.
Speaker 1 (08:15):
That is fantastic. I bet they were so happy that
you found the doggie.
Speaker 2 (08:21):
Yes, ma'am, they sure were.
Speaker 4 (08:24):
Well, he keeps getting out the dog for doggie and
I don't know how. He's so cute.
Speaker 2 (08:29):
Well that is so good.
Speaker 1 (08:31):
What a great pets boy.
Speaker 2 (08:35):
They mean so much to us. You know, he had
a call her on but no tags.
Speaker 4 (08:39):
We're like, okay, where your tags at a little puppy,
So we could call your mom or your dad, your dad,
mama dog, you know, the owner. So and somebody said
they're looking for him somewhere, and I'm like, okay, let's
check her neighborhood.
Speaker 2 (08:51):
Page and there.
Speaker 1 (08:52):
It was the smart move, but really that's a good
a good idea too, to get tags, you know, with
a number on so at least that they can, oh,
you never know, contact that neighborhood page.
Speaker 2 (09:02):
I'm telling you what, right, Yes, And they said, yeah.
Speaker 4 (09:06):
He keeps chewing them off or something, and then they
ordered some new ones.
Speaker 2 (09:09):
Hopefully they can get them back in soon.
Speaker 1 (09:10):
Gotcha.
Speaker 2 (09:11):
Yeah, I'm telling you you have a great week. Join
your weather. Yeah, and thank you Pat for sharing with
us here on Sunday. Appreciate You're welcome. Guys, y'all have
a great joy.
