Great Gen Valerani. He's in the house with this week's
thirty Little Secret. Also on our solutions segment, we'll talk
about hers save money options, which are good for your
bottom line when you're dealing with money you can't afford
to lose. But first our top line story. Last Sunday,
President Trump set down with Kristen Welker Hosts to Meet
(02:12):
the Press at NBC News. This interview generated plenty of
headlines all week long, particularly related to left wing claims
that Trump somehow stated he didn't know if he supported
the constitution. Here's the clip that has the Democrats center
garments all knotted up.
Speaker 6 (02:29):
Your Secretary of State says, everyone who's here, citizens and
non citizens, deserved to process. Do you agree, mister.
Speaker 7 (02:35):
I don't know. I'm not a lawyer.
Speaker 8 (02:37):
I don't know.
Speaker 6 (02:38):
Well, the Fifth Amendment, I don't know.
Speaker 9 (02:40):
It seems it might say that, But if you're talking
about that, then we'd have to have a million or
two million or three million trials. We have thousands of
people that are some murderers and some drug dealers and
some of the worst people on earth. But it is
some of the worst, most dangerous people on earth. And
I was elected to get him the hell out of here,
and the courts are holding me from doing it.
Speaker 6 (03:02):
But even given those numbers that you're talking about, don't
you need to uphold the Constitution of the United States's present.
Speaker 7 (03:09):
I don't know.
Speaker 9 (03:10):
I have to respond by saying, again, I have brilliant
lawyers that work for me, and they are going to
obviously follow what the Supreme Court said. What you said
is not what I heard. The Supreme Court said they
have a different interpretation.
Speaker 5 (03:25):
How dare he Trump must hate the Constitution impeach Matt Yeah, okay,
So this is a classic case that the media beating
up on a straw man. The President clearly articular rates
he's talking about the interpretation of the Fifth Amendment, not
whether or not he supports the Fifth Amendment. He's going
to follow what the Supreme Court says, in effect, how
(03:48):
they say the Fifth Amendment should be interpreted. But this
is all now a legal question for his part. It's
now in the hands of the Attorney General. Carl Cannon
reacts to the fake country here on Real Care Politics
podcast this week.
Speaker 10 (04:03):
Trump, did you know the headlines in the New York
Times and everywhere else?
Speaker 7 (04:08):
Trump says he doesn't answers.
Speaker 10 (04:09):
I don't know when asked if you support the Constitution,
and that isn't really what happened. What happened was Kristen
Welker started by asking him, unity, you know, you have
these local district court judges who've thrown out some of
these deportation orders.
Speaker 7 (04:23):
And he said, don't you have to follow that? And
he said, well, I don't know.
Speaker 10 (04:25):
I got lawyers, you know, looking at that, we're repealing that,
we're challenging. Trump's felicity of language is not the best,
you know, he he could have pointed out, he said,
christ and I've taken the oath of office twice and
the only thing that the president has sworn to do.
Speaker 7 (04:38):
Is I pulled the Constitution. Of course I'll do that.
But there's a difference of interpretation here, you know. I
think that's what he meant, though I agree with Tom.
Speaker 10 (04:44):
I think that's what he was saying, that this idea,
and we talked about this last week, the idea that
the Biden administration couldn't let in I don't know five
million people, Tom thinks is higher than that.
Speaker 7 (04:56):
Trump only said two or three million.
Speaker 10 (04:57):
But whatever, And you can let and moss, but then
you have to have a trial for each one to
deport them. That doesn't even make sense, That doesn't even
stand the laugh test.
Speaker 5 (05:08):
As Carl Cannon points out here, the context is about
the deportations, not about the Constitution. Now, I'm not going
to get out all into the weeds on this issue
this week because I'm planning in a future broadcast coming
soon to focus heavily on this issue with some special guests.
So we're going to save the debate overdue process rights
for another time. The point being here is the media
(05:30):
is not being honest about how it's reporting what the
President said, as if that's a surprise.
Speaker 7 (05:36):
Now.
Speaker 5 (05:37):
Interestingly enough, what's gone underreported from Welker's interview with the
President is how Trump has put the rest some of
the hysteria surrounding the rumor that he's somehow contemplating a
third term. Now, this idea, which initially started as a
tongue in cheek merchandising campaign, has ran like wildfire on
social media, outraging leftist everywhere. Now the lead legacy is
(06:00):
picking up on the story, thanks in part to Trump
now getting in on the joke.
Speaker 11 (06:04):
President Trump is not ruling out the possibility of seeking
a third term, even though it's prohibited by the Constitution's
twenty second Amendment. He's joked about it at rallies.
Speaker 9 (06:14):
It will be the greatest honor of my life to
serve not once but twice or three times.
Speaker 7 (06:20):
Here of course I've sun.
Speaker 11 (06:22):
But now in an exclusive phone interview with NBC's Kristen Welker,
he says that there are quote methods for doing so,
and that a lot of people want me to do it.
As to clarify, he said, I'm not joking, but at
it it is far too early to think about it.
Speaker 5 (06:36):
Apparently the left is so worried about this that Welker
thought it appropriate to ask the President this question.
Speaker 6 (06:43):
In her interview, the Trump Organization is selling hats that
say Trump twenty twenty eight. Are you seriously considering a
third term, mister president, even though it's prohibited by the Constitution,
or is this about staying politically viable?
Speaker 9 (06:58):
I will say this, so many people want me to
do it. I have never had requests so strong as that.
But it's something that, to the best of my knowledge,
you're not allowed to do. I don't know if that's constitutional,
that they're not allowing you to do it or anything else.
But there are many people selling the twenty twenty eight hat.
Speaker 7 (07:18):
But this is not something I'm looking to do.
Speaker 9 (07:20):
I'm looking to have four great years and turn it
over to somebody, ideally a great Republican, a great Republican
to carry it forward. But I think we're going to
have four years, and I think four years there's plenty
of time to do something really spectacular.
Speaker 5 (07:36):
Now, hopefully that settles that the president is prohibited by
the twenty second Amendment from running again period. Sure it
could become legal if and only if the twenty second
Amendment is somehow repealed, which would two thirds of both
the House and the Senate plus be ratified by thirty
eight of our fifty states. In other words, zero chance.
(07:57):
Over the week, NBC has come over her criticism for
its selective editing of portions of the interview that it
shows the air on live TV, as well as the
negative slant which framed firstly, every question asked by Kristan Welker.
Remember Welker herself has come under fire from the right
for several years now for her perceived left wing bias.
(08:18):
Here's Tyrus talking about it on Gutfeld.
Speaker 4 (08:21):
But this is why you love him.
Speaker 7 (08:24):
He tells it like it is. Even when he lies,
he tells the truth.
Speaker 12 (08:30):
But what makes this is why I adore him so much,
is that he would give it like this an interview
knowing that she's going to lie, She's going to I mean,
the debate. She was literally trying to help her moron, buddy,
Can she continue to do what the woke do? Ask
dumb questions, try to set traps, But he knows their
(08:52):
game better than they do, so he toys and plays
with her.
Speaker 7 (08:56):
Like any decent.
Speaker 12 (08:57):
Journalists, is that you get a chance to interview the
press in the United States and one of your questions
is are you going to run for a third term?
When you know damn right, well that's literally impossible to
do so. But because you're hoping to appease that audience
of one, you're going to ask the question because they're
hoping that will stick, that'll be the thing that will
(09:17):
get everybody to vote midterms. Is that if we don't,
Trump's going to be a dictator and run for a
third term.
Speaker 7 (09:23):
They're morons, all right.
Speaker 5 (09:28):
When we come back, we'll talk trade right after the break.

my retirement trade is back on the spotlight. Honestly, has
it left the spotlight at all? This year, the Trump
administration announced a brand new trade deal with our longtime ally,
the United Kingdom on Thursday morning. This is the first
(14:15):
of the many deals that we've been promised over the
coming weeks, and it's sort of fitting given that our
nation's independence was birthed in a trade dispute with Great Britain,
and that day being Victory Europe Day. The UK just
signed a deal with their own with India that has
been three years in the making, so they're having a
pretty good week too, and one can assume that a
(14:36):
trade agreement between the United States and India is also imminent. Ironically,
the Trump administration's tariffs haven't just forced countries to re
examine their trade with the United States, but it's also
given a chance to renegotiate new deals that could actually
bolster international trade to unprecedented levels. Now, make no mistake,
(15:00):
this deal with America is one that the British have
been wanting too ever since Brexit became finalized in twenty twenty,
a trade deal with the United States has been the
holy grail of sorts for London. The United States is
already the destination for eighteen percent of UK exports, making
us their largest single trading partner, not counting for the
(15:22):
collective market of the EU, but we're also their largest
export market for vehicles. You're talking about iconic brands such
as Jaguar, Bentley and Rolls Royce. I've always wanted Jaguar too.
I like the leaping cat hood ornament. The British sport
a tradeserplus of an estimated one hundred million dollars, though
(15:45):
the imbalances due to services not manufacture goods. But even so,
that's a number Trium would like to bring down some,
but more so in the way of increasing the British
markets access to our products as opposed to curtailing they're
on this side of the pond. That's a very different
approach than we're taken with China, because, believe it or not,
(16:06):
the administration actually does know the difference between a friend
and an enemy. Now it's a little unclear what's happening
with China right now. China, for its part, has already
begun political and doctrination of its youth to hate the US,
including teacher led chants of China must win the United
States China trade war, and other more markedly anti American
(16:29):
slogans that I will not repeat on air. But it
depends on who you ask in the Trump administration just
how far along those negotiations are. Here's Treasury Secretary Scott
Bessen testifying on the Hill on Tuesday. He's being asked
about our trade strategy.
Speaker 14 (16:45):
Mister Chairman, this will be past dependent on our trade partners.
As I said before, there are eighteen very important trading relationships.
We are currently negotiating with seven. Team of those trading partners, China,
we have not engaged in negotiations with as of yet,
(17:08):
so I expect that we can see a substantial reduction
in the tariffs that we are being charged, as well
as non tariff barriers, currency manipulation, and the subsidies of
both labor and capital investment that is pred.
Speaker 5 (17:30):
So basically Beston is saying that we're negotiating with everyone
but China publicly and with the rest of the world,
we can expect greatly reduced trade barriers. But China doesn't
want to admit that it's negotiating with us or their
own domestic consumption. Chinese media is flooded with stories about
how their fearless leader president she is standing up to
(17:53):
the American dogs, But the reality is that Bessont himself
is part of a trade delegation that will meet with
Chinese this weekend in Switzerland. Here's the President speaking just
hours after Besant's testimony in front of the House Committee.
Speaker 9 (18:07):
Want to meet, and they're doing no business right now.
And those ships are turning around in the Pacific Ocean.
Big turn. Those are big ships. So those ships take
about ten miles to turn. And you know, we lost
a trillion dollars to China and trade because of an
incompetent president that we had who proceeded to me grossly incompetent.
You're finding it out more and more now and by
(18:30):
not trading, we're losing nothing. So we're saving a trillion dollars.
Speaker 7 (18:34):
It's a lot.
Speaker 9 (18:36):
But they want to negotiate and they want to have
a meeting, and we'll we'll be meeting with them at
the right time.
Speaker 5 (18:42):
Okay. So what the President means by we're saving a
trillion dollars refers to our trade and balance. This is
true in that our GDP will go up by this
amount if we are able to produce the same products
domestically in lieu of importing it all from China. Wise,
if the same products are not produced here in the
(19:02):
United States, consumption will also fall. A short falling goods
will also be inflationary until new products become available. So
the administration will need to be careful here. But the
President continues.
Speaker 9 (19:15):
But you know we are right now. Look, they're suffering greatly.
Their economy is suffering greatly because they're not doing trade
with the US. And they made most of their money
off the US. Don't kid yourself. They don't make the
money off other countries like this, and they were we
had a trade in balance. We had a deficit, or
they had a surplus another way of saying it of
(19:38):
more than a trillion dollars. Think of it more than
a trillion dollars. And because of one hundred and forty
five percent, that's the only reason. But because of they
have now one hundred and forty five percent, there there's
no trading. You can't trade with one hundred and forty
five percent. We are therefore making in a certain way,
I guess one point one trillion dollars. In other words,
(20:00):
we're not losing one point one trillion dollars. A deficit
is much better. When I started, I say we were
losing billions of dollars a day on trade that's rapidly
turning around.
Speaker 5 (20:13):
The president's claim is that China is being hurt worse
by the trade war. All signs point to him being right.
The New York Posts reported this week that right now
China is facing economic collapse. Container ships that missed the
April nine tariff deadline are sitting in Chinese ports filled
with products that are priced out of the US market.
Cargo bookings to US are down by half, and factory
(20:35):
fours look like ghost towns, totally abandoned. There's no work
and that means no food. Ten million Chinese workers will
lose their jobs just this month. If this happens, President,
she is out of a job in a country where
this sort of failure ends with the family being charged
for the bullet. When we cut back, it's the Great
Gene Valerani with this week's dirty little secret. I'm Jeff Lewis.
We're back after this.
Speaker 1 (20:55):

the bottom line.
Speaker 8 (21:01):

Speaker 15 (22:52):
That's the bottom line.
Speaker 8 (22:57):
Welcome back, ladies and gentlemen you're listening to That's the
bottom line. And it's time now for the dirty little secret.
This is Gene Valerani reporting. What we have in the
United States is really the licentious fury of the Democrat
(23:19):
judges who put everything above the law and make their
rulings based on left wing politics. It's really not supposed
to work that way. We have members of the Supreme Court,
like Justice Catani Brown, making anti Trump comments at public events.
(23:44):
How can we have justice in the US court system
if everything or every ruling that is made is based
on politics. It's justice abuse and it always happens when
we have a Republican in the Whitehouse. The goal of
(24:07):
the Democrat judges is to side with left wing individuals
and permit these low level judges, these little dictators right now,
the steiny President Trump, and that's exactly what they do.
(24:27):
Face it, ladies and gentlemen. Democrat judges are just an
extension of the radicals in the Democrat Party that seek
to destroy freedom and justice and only rule for what
left wing Democrats want to favor. Once these petty tyrants
(24:51):
make their nonsensical rulings, then Republican President Donald Trump has
to appeal their decisions and that starts the long process
all the way to the US Supreme Court, which can
take months or in some cases years to overrule lower courts.
(25:17):
And they do this, of course, to try and sty
me Republican lawmakers and Republican presidents. It's simply to slow
down this time President Trump and interfere with his administration judges.
All judges are supposed to be neutral in their rulings,
(25:40):
but that no longer seems to matter. And face it,
it's partisan judges who sty me the will of American voters,
who overwhelmingly, as you know, chose President Trump to run
the executive branch of the US government, and the left
(26:02):
wing judges are These partisan, left wing judges are the
ones that are interfering with him. Eventually, these petty tyrants
and robes are usually overruled by the Supreme Court, but
during the interim it could take years. It's a slow
(26:23):
pace for disagreements to reach the US Supreme Court, and
even then there's no assurance as to how these high
court justices will rule any But what about we, the
people who elect our representatives and our president. In the end,
(26:46):
it's our will the left wing Democrats are ignoring the
goal of the left is to prevent the will of
the people who overwhelmingly elected Donald Trump as our chief executive,
not low level tyrants in black robes who use their
judicial authority to deny the American people their choice as
(27:11):
to who and from what party the president is chosen.
To see the state of affairs our country has come
to by the left must have our founders turning over
in their graves by ignoring the will of the voters
and working against what they voted for. Is it time
(27:34):
for another uprising against tyranny, especially the tyranny espoused by
today's modern Democrat party, who've already started clamoring for President
Trump's impeachment. So, in effect, the Democrats have declared themselves
(27:57):
the enemies of freedom and justice and have it becomes
supporters of tyranny and injustice. They have the a CEO.
You go running to these low level judges who do
their bidding, and then the ruling from local benches that
(28:19):
affect all of the country, and then we have to
wait years or months for a Supreme court to strike
down the laws these low level tyrants and robes have declared.
Last November, the people of the United States overwhelmingly voted
(28:40):
for Donald Trump as the chief executive of the United
States of America, and as so, the left wing should
bow to the will of we the people. Funny, how
when the Democrats have a majority in past laws, seldom
do we see the Republicans interfering at such high levels.
(29:05):
You know what I'm saying is right, and you know
that I'm right because freedom is really with these people.
Speaker 5 (29:18):
I know.
Speaker 8 (29:19):
Freedom is not supposed to just be a myth. I
guess that's what I'm trying to say. It's but they
make it a bit and it really doesn't exist at
all except on parchments of paper written this law decades ago,
but now ignored by left wing radicals. And that's the
(29:45):
condition that we find ourselves in as we take a
look at all the nonsense that's going on right now
by left wing judges and all the interference are doing,
especially with regard to these illegals that are being deported.
(30:06):
I guess now they want each and every one of
them to have an individual trial, which could take years.
These people are not Americans and they did not They're
not entitled to the same rights and privileges as we
the people. They came here illegally. They came here breaking
(30:29):
our laws, and I guess that's why the Democrats want
to support them so much. But it's not supposed to
be that way. And listen, we'll be back with more,
so I want you to stay too.
