Speaker 1 (00:02):
We're just trying to turn a necke in do a dime.
That's the bottom line.
Speaker 2 (00:14):
Welcome to real honest talk about money, politics, news and
information you can actually use. Buggle up and hold on tight.
This is that's the bottom line.
Speaker 3 (00:30):
The best thing in life up.
Speaker 4 (00:33):
But you can give them to the bath and be
the That's the bottom.
Speaker 5 (00:47):
Morning, everybody.
Speaker 6 (00:48):
This is that's the bottom line. I'm your host, Jeff
Lewis of ASSEC or the Associates, along with Gene Valerani.
We've got a lot on the agenda today, so let's
get right to our top line story.
Speaker 7 (01:13):
Officials in riot gear had to use tear gas and
rubber bullets to disperse crowds going after ICE officers and
damaging and robbing property.
Speaker 6 (01:23):
Like nineteen ninety two riots in LA similar to the
Rodney King riots thirty three years ago, erupted last weekend
over ICE agents deporting illegal immigrants. The violence, captured on
video prompted President Trump to send in the National Guard
after federal agents came under threat. This prompted criticism from Democrats,
(01:44):
including California Governor Gavin Newsom.
Speaker 8 (01:47):
Donald Trump, without consulting California law enforcement leaders, commandeered two
thousand of our state's National Guard members to deploy on
our streets illegally and for no reason. This brazen abuse
of power by a sitting president inflamed a combustible situation,
putting our people, our officers, and even our National Guard
(02:09):
at risk.
Speaker 6 (02:10):
The National Guard was sent in after La Mayor Karen Bass,
the same mayor who let the city burn a few
months ago while she was on a trip to Africa,
refused police protection for federal agents inside the local ice facility.
Trump mobilized California National guardsmen, well within his constitutional right
to do so, to protect the building from writers who
(02:31):
were posing a threat. But to hear democrats tell it,
despite the clear facts of the situation shown on live TV,
there wasn't really a riote at all. It was, once
again a peaceful protest. Heard that one before. Here's a
local congress critter, Linda Sanchez explaining things away.
Speaker 9 (02:49):
The vast majority of protesters have been peaceful. There are
always a few bad actors, and yes, we think anybody
who commits property damage ought to be arrested and they
ought to be prosecuted. But to send in federal troops
or marines when there isn't a war atmosphere or war
circumstance going on. Is just it's beyond the panel. I mean,
(03:13):
it's authoritarian flexing. It's not making anybody safer. Local law
enforcement has said they can handle the protest. It's no
different than when a team wins a national championship and
people get over excited and they overturn vehicles and light
them on fire. Local law enforcement is prepared to handle
those types of situations.
Speaker 10 (03:33):
Yeah, that's what I do.
Speaker 6 (03:34):
When the Astros won the World Series, attack people and
set cars on fire. I mean, that's a totally natural reaction.
That's not violence. Clearly, the mayor is imposing curfews for
no reason at all, and police have things totally under control,
just as the police chief.
Speaker 11 (03:51):
As far as people are worried about the violence that
we're seeing, this violence that I've seen is disgusting. It's
escalated now since the beginning of this incident. What we
saw the first night was bad. What we've seen subsequent
to that is getting increasingly worse and more violent. Tonight,
we had individuals out there shooting commercial grade fireworks at
(04:13):
our officers that can kill you, and we have adapted
our tactics to be able to have a chance, to
be able to take these people into custody and to
be able to hold them accountable. We are overwhelmed as
far as the number of people out there engaged in
this type of activity.
Speaker 10 (04:30):
Wait a sec.
Speaker 6 (04:31):
The police chief says they're overwhelmed by all the violent activity,
and he's asking more support. But it doesn't sound like
the situation is under control to me. Surely the media
sees the same thing. Here's a sample of MSNBC's coverage.
Speaker 12 (04:45):
And the facts are that Los Angeles is calming down,
that there are no riots in the streets, that the
activities of the protests confined to about four or five
square blocks in the city, a tumultuous, large, sprawling city
in America.
Speaker 10 (05:04):
Four or five blocks. That's it.
Speaker 6 (05:06):
Well, that's about par for the course. If you're not
in a good position, just lie about the facts here.
Are you going to believe your own line eyes? Actually, yes,
apparently you do. According to virtually all pulling, the American
people support Trump sending into National Guard by a sixty
to forty margin. Matt Towery Polster for Insider Advantage explains.
Speaker 13 (05:29):
Well, and these aren't surprising numbers. I talked to several
other pollsters who did very well in the last few
cycles before I went on tonight Sean. They have similar numbers.
When they ask questions about immigration deportation who should be deported?
Those numbers are all in the sixty plus almost eighty percent.
Rescus had one which eighty percent in total said that
(05:49):
if you committed a crime, you should be deported and
tell you now the country. So I'm not really surprised
by these numbers. What I think I can explain this
whole thing with Gavin Newsom because if you look inside
the internals of our poll, eighty eight percent of Republicans
say they favor what Trump is doing, fifty six percent
of independence, and I think that'll be growing with all
these antics continuing say they swear what Trump is doing,
(06:10):
but only thirty seven percent of Democrats.
Speaker 6 (06:13):
Okay, so much for the Democratic talking points. It's not
just Republicans, but most independents and even a stilisable chunk
of Democrats also think Trump's actions are a good idea.
It's the left wing base of the Democratic Party does
so reflexibly against the thing Trump does even when he's right,
which frankly has been most of the time, and according
(06:34):
to CNN's data guru here he entering Americans are very
specific about what they like here.
Speaker 7 (06:38):
I think what's so important is it is his top
issue so far. And the reason it is his top
issue is because take a look at the individual nuggets
in here. Why are people approving of Trump on immigration?
Approof of these different immigration actions? Will Trump's administration's program
to deport those here illegally? Look at this fifty four
percent approval, how about agents searching your home town for
(07:00):
those that they think are here illegally? Again, positive territory
here above fifty percent for Donald Trump. So it's not
just on the broad issue of immigration where Trump is
doing well.
Speaker 10 (07:09):
It's on the specifics.
Speaker 7 (07:11):
When you dive into the issues, Trump is above fifty percent,
and his actions are above fifty percent, at least with
those most directly connected to what's going on right now
out in Los Angeles.
Speaker 6 (07:22):
But the Democratic Party has become so ideologically identified with
the illegals in our country that they're compelled to fight
Republicans on this. So which party does America agree with?
Speaker 7 (07:32):
The American electorate believe that the Democrats don't have a
clue on the issue of immigration. I mean you could
just take it here closer to trust more and immigration.
Democrats versus Republicans got three different polls for you across
the board.
Speaker 10 (07:44):
They all tell the same story.
Speaker 7 (07:47):
Republicans lead on the issue of immigration. You see it here,
CBS plus six, You see it here, CNN plus six,
you see it here, IPSOS even bigger plus nineteen.
Speaker 10 (07:56):
No matter what poll you look at, no matter which way.
Speaker 7 (07:59):
You cut, the American public is with the Republicans. The
American public is with Donald Trump.
Speaker 6 (08:04):
Great human at Fox News thinks the left is totally
out to lunch.
Speaker 14 (08:07):
Here.
Speaker 15 (08:08):
You know what were the main things that got Donald
Trump elected president? And one of them is certainly the
inability or unwillingness of the previous administration to enforce the
nation's immigration laws, resulting in a flood at the border
and our cities, and many of our cities being heavily
populated with people who have no legal right to be here.
That is what Ice is now doing, enforcing the laws
(08:30):
by going around and conducting these raids and arresting people
who have no right to be here and can legally
be deported. For them to call it renegade for her
to call it renegade raids is incorrect. And the other
thing about this, Jackie, I don't understand it is I mean,
people can look at this and tell when she says
these are peaceful demonstrations, well, some may be, but a
(08:51):
lot of them are not. And you know, people do
not approve of chunks of concrete and rocks being thrown
at cars, prove of cars being set on fire, don't
approve against a violence against law enforcement officers. And make
no mistake about it, it's not the federal authorities that
are federal troops that are in there that they're being attacked.
(09:13):
It's the it's the local police. And this this talk
by Nancy Pelosi, the governor, Governor Newsom and others, Karen
Bass the mayor, gives every appearance that they are on
the side of these violent protesters. I think that's a
terrible look for Democrats.
Speaker 6 (09:31):
Whose side are you on? Back in the moment, we're
just trying to turn a nickel into a dime.
Speaker 3 (09:36):
That's the bottom line.
Speaker 16 (09:41):

Here's the unintended consequence. That smaller check could limit your
ability to enjoy retirement, cover healthcare costs, or leave a

were talking about Trump's decision to use the National Guard
to provide additional support against the riots in LA. It's
(13:32):
really a genius move because if the riots end as
a result, he looks brilliant for having quelled the riots,
but if they continue, he looks justified for having sent
them there in the first place. It makes Democrats like
Governor Gavin Newsom look like fools. It's yet another example
of how Donald Trump continues to outmaneuver his political opponents,
(13:53):
even when he faces opposition from within his own party.
Take Rand Paul and the Conservative Center's opposite to the
Big Beautiful Bill. Paul is under a lot of political pressure,
likely from his own constituents, and is clearly now trying
to find some cover from where he could vote for
the bill. Here he is explaining his position on the
Charlie Kirk Show this week.
Speaker 18 (14:15):
You know, I support quite a bit of what's in
the bill. The tax cuts is the primary aspect of
the bill. I voted for them in twenty seventeen. I
support making them permanent. I accept the argument that if
you lower tax rates sometimes you get more revenue. This
is what Art Laffer argued in the nineteen eighties and
still argues. So I'm fine with the tax cut as is.
I'm fine with adding to the tax cuts as President
(14:37):
Trump wishes. So I'm fine with that aspect of the bill.
And that's a big bulk of the bill that will
lead to growth. So what led to low unemployment rates
in the first administration and really was a great boon
to our country.
Speaker 6 (14:49):
Okay, Ran, So you like just about everything that's in
the bill, So what's the problem.
Speaker 18 (14:53):
It's not a real savings. We know that the bill
will add probably even if you say the taxes don't
add to the debt, which I accept. The bill in
the first years has four hundred billion dollars worth of
new spending on border and also on military, so we
know in the first couple of years that will be
an addition to the deficit. It may be made up
in the later years, but that has yet to be determined.
(15:16):
But none of that really is my objection to the bill.
Those are minor things, and I actually could vote for
it as is, even as imperfect as it is.
Speaker 5 (15:23):
I could vote for it.
Speaker 18 (15:25):
But I can't vote to raise the debt ceiling five
trillion and I'm not looking for one, hundreds or dozens
of demands.
Speaker 17 (15:31):
I'm looking for one.
Speaker 18 (15:31):
Separate out the debt ceiling and put it in a
different bill, and I can vote for this.
Speaker 2 (15:35):
Aha.
Speaker 6 (15:36):
So what's happened is that Rand Paul, who has been
such a staunch physical hawk over the years, has the
political problem. He needs to be able to vote for
the bill, but he can't do it without looking like
a hypocrite when it comes to spending. It's admirable and
I respect it greatly, But because he's built such a
reputation for being so dogmatic, he's hoisted himself on his
own petard, and now he's depending on the rest of
(15:59):
the party to bail on them out by removing the
debt sealing provision from the bill, and the bill needs
to pass. Rand is right that in Trump's first term,
his economic policy has led to historical levels of growth.
And that's what this bill does is to codify the
Trump economic policy so that, among other things, the Obama
era taxation levels aren't restored. There's some other good stuff too,
(16:22):
like the savings account for newborns. This has been wildly
popular among families I've talked to about it, and I
agree it's important to create a culture of savings, and
it'll also help new high school graduates cope with the
cost of getting out on their own. Here, President Trump
explains the concepts of the new plan.
Speaker 19 (16:42):
The federal government will make a one time contribution of
one thousand dollars into a tax deferred account that will
track the overall stock market. In other words, it'll be
pegged to an induct They'll be open for additional private
contributions each year from family, friends, parents, employers, church is,
private foundations, and more. There's a pro family initiative that
(17:04):
will help millions of Americans harness the strength of our
economy to lift up the next generation, and they'll really
be getting a big jump on life.
Speaker 6 (17:13):
It's these kinds of populist policies that dramatically reform the
Republican Party. The GOP is now the party of the
working class, which is why the Trump administration is pushing
so hard to get the Fed to lower interest rates
again now that the specter of high inflation is now
the ghost of Biden's past. Consumer price index came in
at zero point one percent lower than anticipated, as all
(17:37):
the terrorf related price increases that were expected, well, they
failed to materialize, particularly in vehicles and clothing.
Speaker 5 (17:44):
The latest numbers do show that inflation remained relatively team
in May. So the big number is the annual rate
that came in at two point four percent. That is
a slight acceleration from two point three percent in April,
but this was better than expected. Month over month.
Speaker 20 (18:03):
Prices were up by just zero point one percent. Again,
that's better than expected, and that's actually a deceleration from
what we saw in April. Now, one reason why these
inflation numbers came in very much, much better than expected
is because we did see a drop in energy prices.
Speaker 5 (18:22):
In particular, gas prices were low.
Speaker 20 (18:26):
Now, economists like to look at core inflation because that
excludes food and energy, but that also came in better
than expected.
Speaker 5 (18:34):
I'm digging into some of the categories.
Speaker 20 (18:36):
We did see that egg prices they did fall on
a month over month basis again.
Speaker 5 (18:41):
So that is a good sign.
Speaker 20 (18:43):
Year over year, egg prices are still up significantly more
than forty percent, but still we are seeing some of
that pressure ease.
Speaker 6 (18:51):
So it turns out that the energy friendly policies that
Trump signed on day one are already having their impact
on the economy. Monthly inflation is down to just zero
point one percent, which at the current rate would mean
inflation a year from now would read only one point
two percent, a good number. The higher rate of annual
inflation that we're seeing now of two point four percent,
(19:11):
which is still greatly reduced from the Biden era. The
larger number is due to the trailing months of the
Biden presidency, which still comprise half of the annual metric.
That means that there's no reason anymore for the FED
to keep rates where they are, a sentiment that Vice
President JD. Vance echoed this week in a social media post,
quoting the President has been saying this for a while,
(19:33):
but it's even more clear. The refusal by the FED
to cut rates is monetary malpractice. In the opinion of
this show, the VP is right, the FED rate is
not considering the impact of the new Trump administration's policies.
Not only our energy costs down, but we added one
hundred and thirty nine thousand new jobs in May. Wages
(19:53):
are up four percent, and real disposal income is up
an annualized rate of seven and a half percent. All
we're waiting for now is the rest of the Trump's
economic package to come online, which it's all in the
big beautiful bill. Once it passes, it'll be like, I
don't know what's a good metaphor, jet fuel.
Speaker 21 (20:11):
This bill is jet fuel for the economy, and we
need to pass the bill, frankly, because we have a
debt crisis.
Speaker 10 (20:18):
We need growth. We need to grow this.
Speaker 21 (20:19):
Economy so much that what we owe starts to shrink
relative to the overall size of the economy. And this bill,
especially with the business tax cuts, is jet fuel for
the economy.
Speaker 10 (20:30):
We need the deregulation, we need.
Speaker 21 (20:32):
The energy dominance policies of this administration to grow the economy.
Economic growth is necessary for fiscal responsibility.
Speaker 6 (20:43):
That's Representative Andy Barr of Kentucky, and he's right. You
can't just cut your way out of a deficit, no
matter how hard you try. The bottom line is it
takes growing your money. And on that note, we'll be
back after this.

Welcome back, ladies and gentlemen you're listening to. That's the
bottom line. Your weekly broadcast on KLVI that tells it
like it is. This is Jeane Valarane reporting and now
time in this week's broadcast for today's dirty Little Secret.
(23:13):
And I guess it's not much of a secret, but
I do want to cover here what's been going on
out on the West Coast and elsewhere, and I want
to kind of inform our listeners about it. And we
have and share some thoughts. As you know, violent mobs
composed of illegal immigrants and probably Democrats who want to
(23:38):
destroy our American way of life reared their ugly heads
in California this past week, and the news media continues
to try and soft sell what amounts to nothing less
than a foreign invasion of angry illegals waving the flags
(23:59):
of Mexico Venezueuela among the flags of other countries south
of the border, because President Trump and many Americans seek
to send these foreign scofflaws back to where they came from.
They entered the country illegal. I don't know what's so
(24:19):
hard to understand what's illegal and what's legal. For the
most part, most of these protesters are taking orders, I believe,
from left wing pro communist agitators in the hope of
destroying our Land of the Free and home of the brave.
(24:41):
President Trump has deployed US Marines to guard federal buildings
in southern California, and he deployed National Guard troops to
help quiet the uprising now occurring. We Americans better wake
up and spell the coffee because the these internal pro
(25:02):
communist agitators are being paid for by megabuck enemies of
freedom and justice, many of whom have paid off officials
to allow this to continue. The alphabet networks are downplaying
these anti American riots by the Ford and domestic multi
(25:26):
millionaires that are funding this. The goal is to wipe
out the American middle class, people like you and me,
so as to create a two class system of rich
autocrats and reduce the one strong American middle class into
(25:46):
an underclass that will be unable to advance further in
the society of freedom. They want to keep you down.
They want to take away the middle class. That's what
this is about.
Speaker 11 (26:00):
Mm hm.
Speaker 16 (26:00):
They want to take away your freedom, ladies and gentlemen,
and they're using traitorous Democrat judges to impede justice and
take away your freedoms and create this massive underclass in
America ruled over with the iron fists of socialism and communism.
(26:24):
Even the old the guys that founded communism called people
that do this useful idiots. Well, let me tell you something.
It's a communist revolution occurring here in the United States,
supported by a majority of left wing Democrats in the
(26:46):
US Congress and probably in some of the some of
the statehoods of some of the states too, where the
Democrats have a have control. Make no mistake about these rids,
the US flag burners who hate America, and they really
(27:10):
do hate our way of life. They hate freedom and justice,
as does unfortunately most of the mainstream news media, which
is always remains allergic to truth and justice. They want
the Democrats who turning communists. They want everything that you have,
(27:35):
your homes, your employment opportunities, and any other positive developments destroyed,
plus anything else that Bacon conjure up to vanquish the
home of the brave in the land of the free.
These foreign flag waivers want what you have work so
(27:58):
hard for and take it away from you and your families.
That's what this is about. They've already taken over the
Democrat Party. They seek to use Democrat politicians to control
the US government. Ladies and gentlemen, this is not hyperbolic
or hyberbally on my part. Instead, what you're seeing on
(28:22):
your liberal television newscasts continues to try and downplay what's happening.
And they do this to aid left wing causes to
prevail over truth and justice. If we don't wake up
and smell the coffee as to what's really brewing, we
(28:43):
will ultimately lose our freedom that so many have died
and fought for. And you know that that's the truth.
At this juncture, we should be happy. We have a
determined president in Donald Trump who seeks to reserve everything
America stands for, which is first and foremost freedom and
(29:07):
justice for citizens of the United States. As he has
said so often, immigrants are welcome, but they're required to
come here legally and to ultimately become law abiding US citizens,
not sneak into the United States bringing crime and mayhem,
(29:32):
and also being allowed to do so by Democrat politicians
who seem to support illegals over their own countrymen. That's
the bottom line, ladies and gentlemen, and why our forebearers
warned us to be ever vigilant of our American freedoms.
(29:52):
As they say, freedom is not free, and it must
be preserved by all of us, and sometimes by the
blood of patriots, because failure to do so will always
result in the downfall of everything we hold to be
true as Americans. And that's the way it is. That's
(30:17):
the way it is. Right now, we're having this deal
out in California, and I have no idea how it's
going to end, and I have no idea what to
expect for the future, except that we've got to take
control of what this is all about. Be back right
after this. Be sure to stay tuned, ladies and gentlemen.
(30:40):
We'll be right back.
Speaker 1 (30:42):
We're just trying to turn a nickel into a dime.
That's the bottom line.
Speaker 16 (30:49):

biggest expenses in retirement, but they don't have to be.

Speaker 16 (33:03):
Welcome back, ladies and gentlemen you're listening to that's the
bottom line. You're a weekly broadcast on kl THEI that
tells it like it is. And I also want to
remind you that we're going to give you a solution
that's going to guide you in how it may be
helpful for you to call us an Asset Growth Associates
(33:26):
four O nine eight four sixty nine hundred where we
can embark you on a plan where you can pick
up market gains whenever they're coming at you and never
give them up when the market goes backwards. It's a valuable,
valuable contract that helps you accumulate money for your future
(33:49):
and your family's future. So here's the solution I want
to mention to you today. At Asset Growth Associates, we
have the riskalized computer program that we use when helping
our clients establish a portfolio that provides them with their
(34:11):
own individualized risk number. Now, when we get that risk number,
then it can be used to establish a strategy for
a probable financial outcome. We do this because when it
comes to setting funds aside and an investment portfolio, each
(34:34):
investor has their own risk tolerance. No one knows the future,
but we all know that when it comes to investing money,
there's usually risk associated with buying shares in a company
or an industry. Some clients can handle risk, others prefer
less risk than some no risk at all. So for
(34:59):
those in the visuals, we have plans that eliminate risks altogether.
In a principal protection account, that's what it's all about.
All the gains that are earned are kept in the
contract and they're added to the account, and they become
immune to losses when there's a downturn on mall street.
(35:23):
Our principal protection portfolios are immune from losses caused by
a market downturn. Now how good is that? Often we
can mix accounts to develop a strategy using both principal
protection meaning that your money is perfectly safe, as well
(35:44):
as traditional investing. Because we do it all Remember there's
no perfect plan, but depending on individual need, some are
just better than others. And we do it all at
Asset Growth Associates. Oh, you know, we have an office
in Beaumont, Texas. Four oh nine eight four oh sixty

within and want to overthrow the US Constitution in our
way of life. Some of them are even holding elective
offices in Washington, DC. We believe they will fail, but
(37:12):
not before we're able to cause a lot of problems.
And this is why Being prepared is so so very
important for you and your families and your future, because
the future really is now. I know you understand that,

Many years ago, an old friend once told me, too
many people can't stand prosperity, and so they have to
(37:56):
ruin things for everyone else. And that's exactly what the
Democrats in Washington, d C. You're trying to do these days.
And I believe that. And we have to be smart
enough to design financial strategies that will not only outsmart them,
but make sure we come through all of this unscathed.
