Speaker 7 (01:50):
Good morning everybody.
Speaker 3 (01:52):
This is that's the bottom line. I'm your host, Jeff
Lewis Asset Growth Associates, along with Gene Valerini. Thanks for
spending part of your weekend with us. Our top line
story this week. It's history in the making.
Speaker 8 (02:08):
Just a three thousand years to get to this point,
can you believe it?
Speaker 7 (02:13):
And it's going to hold up too.
Speaker 8 (02:15):
It's going to hold up, kay, Thank you.
Speaker 3 (02:23):
The President's peace plan has been signed and the twenty
living Israeli hostages held by Hamas have been returned. There's
a long way to go on the road towards peace,
and we may not even get there in our lifetimes,
but phase one getting the hostages back is finally complete
after two long years of captivity for the survivors. Many
(02:43):
others were not so lucky, and we still more in
their loss. But why did Trump succeed where Biden utterly failed?
After all, Trump just borrowed Biden's plan after the change
in administrations. At least that's the democratic narrative employed now
so they can avoid giving credit to the president for
(03:03):
an obvious historical achievement. Here's former Secretary of State Anthony B.
Lincoln trying to take credit.
Speaker 7 (03:10):
This is essentially the plan that we developed over many
months and more or less left in a drawer for
the incoming administration, and I'm very very glad they picked
it up. I was working with all of the parties,
the Israelis, the Arabs, Palestinians, and others on what would
be necessary for post conflict arrangements in Gaza. And the
(03:32):
basic idea is contained in this plan, and that's the
notion of having these transitional authorities and forces come in
to do security, to do governance, to begin the rebuild,
and eventually to hand over fully to the Palestinians.
Speaker 3 (03:47):
So if it's just Trump executing the so called Biden
peace plan, why did it take Biden the rest of
his term to not get the job done. Because the
Biden administration's policy where he start, contrast to those of
Donald Trump's and it Interviewed this week on Fox News,
Mark Tiessen pointed out the differences.
Speaker 9 (04:10):
He said, don't and they did. I mean, that was
the summary of the Biden policy. Look, look, the reason
why Trump was able to achieve this is because he
reversed all of Biden's policies when it came to Israel
in the Middle East. So Biden's policy was slow roll,
restrain and a piece slow roll weapons to Israel, restrain
Israel from going after Hamas and a piece irn Trump's
(04:32):
policy was the opposite. It was to arm Israel, it
was to unleash the IDF, and it was to obliterate
the Iranian nuclear program. Biden held back two thousand pound
bombs and slow rolled other weapons that were that Israel
was asking for. He tried to get Israel to not
carry out the assault on Rafa that killed the Aha
Sinwar and took out the top leader of Hamas. He
(04:54):
tried to bring Iran back into the Obama nuclear program,
and their cash reserves tripled on his watch, and Trump
came in and reversed all of that. He gave them
the two thousand pound bombs he told he gave a
green light to Netanyahu to go after Hamas, and he
obliterated the Iranian nuclear program, which is what gave net
Yahoo the confidence to go ahead with this deal. Everything
(05:15):
he did was the opposite of what Joe Biden did,
and that's why he succeeded where Biden miserably failed.
Speaker 3 (05:20):
What it seems like to me that people always forget
is the diplomatic disaster that Barack Obama in his third
term puppet Joe Biden were in respect to the Middle
East in general and towards Israel in particular. President Trump
replayed some of this history in his speech to the
Israeli Kaness It on Monday.
Speaker 8 (05:41):
But all of the countries in the Middle East, it
could have what we're doing now. It could have happened
a long time ago. But it was strangled and set
back almost irretrievably by the administrations of Barack Obama and
then Joe Biden. There was a hatred toward it was
an absolute hatred. The setbacks really started when President Obama
(06:05):
signed the Iran Nuclear Deal. This was a disaster for
Israel and it was a disaster for everyone. And I
remember that bb Net and Yahoo came to the United
States and worked so hard to try and get Obama
not to do that deal. He worked so hard, but
(06:34):
it was like talking to a wall.
Speaker 10 (06:35):
I remember.
Speaker 8 (06:36):
I'm telling me, it was like talking to a wall.
They wanted to go with Iran. They chose Iran frankly
over a lot of other good nations, but specifically Israel,
and that was the beginning of a very bad period
of time. You had Obama go out and the Iran
nuclear deal turned out to be a disaster. And by
the way, I terminated the Iran Nuclear Deal, and I
(06:59):
was very crowds to go up.
Speaker 3 (07:04):
Notice the frequency of the applause from the members of
the kanesseant. They were constantly on their feet with standing
ovations because they know firsthand that President Trump is speaking
the truth. Israel felt betrayed by the Obama presidency and
they knew that Biden administration was nothing more than a
continuance of that policy of isolation. Under Obama and Biden.
(07:28):
It was as if Israel had some kind of least
favored nation status that ended under Trump. So it really
came down to the fact that this deal needed two
things to actually work. Trust and respect. Trust from the
Israeli government that America was actually going to stand up
(07:48):
for its strongest ally in the region instead of buddying
up to the radical government in Iran like Obama and
Biden did. And respect on the part of our enemies
who had to be showed that America has both the
power and resolved to be taken seriously. That's the new
dynamic that Trump brought to the table. He was the
(08:09):
catalyst that allowed this deal to become reality instead of
a mere folder inside of a drawer in the rescoute desk.
This former hostage, Ohmersham, too spoke about his experience in
captivity and was very direct about how his situation improved
following Trump's election last November. He tells the CNN reporter here,
(08:30):
point blank, Trump made this happen.
Speaker 11 (08:34):
Yes, it seems he got me out.
Speaker 12 (08:36):
He got the hostages out before we felt like nothing
is happening, you know, and I remember there for me there. Ever,
since he came into the road, they were very scared
of him.
Speaker 11 (08:53):
Yeah. They wanted uh, two terrorists.
Speaker 10 (08:56):
We're afraid of Trump.
Speaker 11 (08:57):
Yeah. They wanted Kamana to be chosen.
Speaker 9 (09:01):
You talk to politics with them.
Speaker 12 (09:02):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, they wanted Kamala to be elected.
Speaker 11 (09:09):
But as soon as as a as a as.
Speaker 12 (09:12):
A Donald Trump was elected, they understood that he wants
to bring the ostages back home. Yeah, so immediately the
way they treated me changed. So it's if it's the
amount of food I could say, I could say this
(09:32):
that when when Trump came into became president.
Speaker 11 (09:37):
Yeah, the the way they treated us changed for me personally,
this is what.
Speaker 8 (09:44):
I think, because they anticipated that a deal would come soon.
Speaker 10 (09:47):
Yeah, and that's when they started giving you more food exactly.
Speaker 12 (09:50):
More food treated me better, you know, Stop cursing me,
stop speeding me, speeding on me.
Speaker 9 (09:56):
Y'all.
Speaker 3 (09:57):
Notice how Hamas is endorsing the Democrats. We'll have more
when we return.

We're just trying to turn an apple into what time.
Speaker 5 (13:47):
That's the bottom line.
Speaker 3 (14:18):
We're back to the bottom line.
Speaker 11 (14:20):
I'm Jeff Lewis.
Speaker 3 (14:22):
So, now that the hostages are returned, what happens next?
What will be the political and economic impact up all this?
That's the subject of this next segment. Clearly there's a
lot we don't know. This could be the start of
something a lot bigger than any of us. Imagine where
we finally see a treaty sign between Israel and its
neighbors for a two state solution to the palest Indian problem.
(14:45):
I'll save my personal thoughts about that for Sunday School.
But it's just as likely that we're merely one step
further along on a process that could take an indefinite
number of years before peace is finally achieved. So forgive
me if I sound a little skeptical of the president
when he says this thing will hold up. Yeah, we'll see.
But you can't blame the guy for trying. And in
(15:06):
that regard, Trump's already achieved more than his predecessors Obama Carter,
both who won Nobel Peace Prizes, by the way, in
Obama's case for doing absolutely nothing at all, and in
the case of Carter, for some words he said twenty
years after he left office. So for starters, it seems
a lot that is a result of all this, Trump
(15:28):
is finally going to win the award he's been openly
coveting for some time now. In fact, it raised some
eyebrows this week when he didn't win it this year,
although this deal went down after the winner had already
been determined. In fact, the actual winner of Venezuelan woman
in exile, dedicated her award to President Trump. But like
(15:49):
the old Brooklyn Dodger fan, she used to say, just
wait till next year, and he's the prohibitive favorite to
win it all in twenty twenty six. There's already a
worldwide movement under and Trump was formally nominated by the
Kanesse this week, which prompted this announcement for a speaker,
Mike Johnson.
Speaker 11 (16:07):
An announcement today.
Speaker 13 (16:08):
It's the announcement in the US that was made in
the Kanesset yesterday. I'm proud to tell you that, together
with my friend, Speaker Ohanna of the Israeli Kanesse, the
equivalent of our Congress, we're going to embark upon a
project together to rally speakers and presidents of parliaments around
the world so that we will jointly nominate President Donald J.
(16:30):
Trump for next year's Nobel Peace Prize. No one has
ever deserved that prize more and that is an objective fact.
As speaker o'hanna said before the Kanesset yesterday, quote whoever
saves one life, it is though he has saved an
entire world.
Speaker 3 (16:46):
Pretty words, and they're true. One person can be the
whole world for someone who loves them. So just think
how many worlds have been shattered these last few years
in places like Israel and Goza and the Ukraine. And
I really believe that what drives the President on issues
like this because he was a young man in the
nineteen sixties when a different war took the lives of
(17:08):
so many Americans. But what about the future of Gaza itself?
According to the twenty point Peace Plan, the ultimate goal
is to turn Gaza into a fully developed economic hub
with a massive port, demilitarized and with its own independent government.
In the interim, a so called Board of Peace, led
(17:28):
by the President himself, in conjunction with other notable world leaders,
including former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair, would oversee a
non political committee of Palestinians that would run the day
to day public services in the region. This would specifically
exclude Hamas or any sister organizations from any role in
a future government. The peace would be guaranteed by an
(17:52):
international military presence to support a local Palestinian police force.
Israel would agree to not annex Guy and once the
preconditions are satisfied, give recognition of a sovereign Palestinian state.
Speaker 7 (18:08):
But first, the next step.
Speaker 3 (18:10):
Is for Hamas to disarm, and that could turn out
to be a huge obstacle. Through this whole process, the
President is using nations like Cutter in Turkey to exert
what influence they can on Hamas to bring this about.
But make no mistake, this is probably the diceiest part
of the whole plan. Trump is made to clear he'll
(18:31):
make Hamas lay down their weapons one way or another.
Speaker 14 (18:34):
I'm gonna make them an offer again a few we
have told them we want disarmed, and they will disarm.
And if they don't disarm, we will disarm them.
Speaker 8 (18:45):
And it'll happen quickly and perhaps violently, but they will disarm.
Speaker 14 (18:49):
And I spoke to Hamas and I said, you're going
to disarm, right, yes, sir, We're going to disarm. That's
what they told me. They will disarm or we will
disarmed them.
Speaker 12 (19:00):
Got it.
Speaker 3 (19:02):
Now. It's not clear if the President is hinting at
the use of American force here or if he's speaking
in broader terms of the IDF coming back in. But really,
anything's possible here if Hamas ends up renegging. The whole
reason Hamas is at the table right now is because
they are actually scared of what a Trump led American
(19:22):
force might do, because they saw what happened at Fordo
last earlier this year. And we've got the rest of
the Sundi world behind us wanting this deal to be enforced,
including Saudi Arabia. Still, Carl Cannon makes an interesting point
in the clip I'm about to play, and while I
don't totally agree with it, there's an element of truth here,
(19:44):
and it's that we don't actually know who makes up
Hamas anymore.
Speaker 11 (19:48):
Take a listen.
Speaker 15 (19:50):
It also raises the question who is Hamas at this point?
Is the IDEF decapitated their leadership and killed most of
their fighters, their proxy, the country that armed them and
encouraged them and told them what to do. Iran has
been neutered for the time being. So when you say
when you're dealing with Hamas. Maybe you're dealing with a
(20:12):
new generation of people who've seen that war as a
dead end. I mean, it's possible that Hamas has changed,
not because they change their minds, but because these are
different people.
Speaker 3 (20:21):
The point he's making is that there's a possibility that
the surviving members of Hamas and the new recruits that
will refill their ranks may be moderated by the effects
of this war. It's not the same organization per se,
because most of AMAS has been wiped out already. I
would argue that's a pretty naive position to take, because
(20:42):
if you're still in Hamas after all this, you're probably
a true believer. But Cannon makes it a legitimate point
that we don't actually know what a post war Hamas
will be like. For all we know, they could be
even more radicalized rather than less. But it does make
for an interesting variable now. I think the most likely
outcome is a violent power struggle within Gods it itself,
(21:06):
and we're already seeing signs of that with reports of
Hamsue executing their own people in some kind of internal purge.
But for the moment, there's reason will be hopeful for
the future of the region, and that feeling a good
will seems to be contagious. I mean, when was the
last time you heard Trump say this.
Speaker 8 (21:24):
I want to thank the media for you've been so
respectful on this year. You know the importance of the deal,
and I really it was so pleasant to watch. I
was on the plane for quite a while listening to
the various newscasts and they were all fair. They were
talking about how incredible this is. This is an incredible
day for the world, let alone in the Middle East.
So I just wanted to thank the media. They really
(21:46):
treated it with respect. I wish you could be like
that on other things, but that's perhaps too.
Speaker 4 (21:52):
Much to ask for.
Speaker 8 (21:53):
But on this tremendous everybody feels the same, just tremendous respect,
and we appreciate it very much.
Speaker 3 (22:00):
I mean, if Trump and the media can get along,
then truly anything is possible. We'll be right back with
Geen Valerini after this.
Speaker 2 (22:08):
We're just trying to turn a nickel in to a
that's the bottom line. We're just trying to turn a
nickel into a die. That's the bottom line.
Speaker 10 (22:23):
Welcome back, ladies and gentlemen you're listening to That's the
bottom line. Your weekly report that tells it like it
is on KLVI. This is Jeene Valerani reporting and now
it's time for what we have called this section of
the show for a long time, a dirty little secret.
But there is no secret to what about I'm gonna
(22:44):
tell you right now, although we never know, Dooey. It's
been quite a week we've witnessed last week. I'm referencing,
of course, President Donald Trump bringing peace to the Holy
Land and AMAS releasing the remaining is captives that have
been held for the last two plus years. And they
(23:05):
also returned the bodies of those who died under her
Mass's captivity. So what's next. For all appearances, the Mass
no longer exists, and the rebuilding of what's been left
behind hopefully will lusher in a new era of peace
in the Middle East, at least they hope so, and
perhaps for the short term, until things can settle down
(23:27):
and the people of that part of the world can
manage to live together in peace. Well, it would be
nice if it happens and the Moss and the other
criminal organizations are pushed out of the way and peace
has a better chance of taking route. So now comes
a new beginning for that part of the world, and
(23:48):
that is both sides seek peace. It's amazing that President
Trump could get in the middle of it and restore piece.
But who knows, maybe a few years from now, the
so called Gaza strip will help restore peace. Both sides
of this disagreement are both the descendants of Abraham. But
(24:10):
in a world weary of war, the cessation of hostilities
for the time being, at least for the time being,
i should say, is being a move weary of war,
and the sensation of hostilities for the time being a
move in the right direction. President Trump has talked of
(24:35):
the Middle East becoming a vacation attraction, going more tourist
to the Mideast, as visitors are tourists who knows how
far everything will improve if they give peace of chance. Right,
sounds like something out of the nineteen sixties, But in
(24:56):
the end, the peace means the absence of war between
opposing sides in a struggle for dominance. Maybe this time
around things will improve for Israel and the Muslims in
this part of the world. Let's hope for a good outcome.
Really and truly, President Trump has been named a candidate
(25:19):
for the Peace prize, not this year, but next year,
whenever the voting goes around the next time the deadline
has passed for this year, but a year from now,
when the voting begins again. Perhaps perhaps it can be
Donald Trump President Donald Trump who hits the Peace Prize.
(25:45):
I think would be very fitting. Of course, this depends
on the peace holding and gaining the full support of
all sides in our belief system. As Christians, we believe
Christ will return and usher in a time of peace
on earth. Maybe this is the beginning of that event,
(26:07):
or maybe Christ will give the order to blow the bugle,
ending all us. We know it sooner than that. Jesus
loves you and me, and he died for our sins.
This redemption from hell to Heaven is a gift from God.
Jesus has conquered death by rising the tomb on Good Friday,
(26:31):
raising Jesus from the tomb of Good Friday into the
new world of Easter Sunday. I can only say what
the Bible reveals about the world to come. If what
we humans have witnessed this week will be the secession
of hostilities in the Holy Land, it is definitely a
(26:52):
time for peace on earth. How far that peace lingers
and stays in place, and still aure's in a new
era remains to be seen. I'm not a preacher or
a biblical scholar. All I know is Christ is coming back,
and if peace in the Holy Land is the sign
(27:13):
of his coming back, then let it be. So. Jesus
is coming back, and when he comes back, that part
of our Christian belief system will reveal whether it's coming
sooner than expected or not, or maybe it's not coming
sooner than expected. So whether it's soon or still a
(27:35):
long ways off, we only have Jesus's promise that he's
coming back to redeem mankind. He will return, and what
occurred in the Holy Land is a preview of a
better home ahead for everyone. Of course, I'm talking about
the Israelis from us being defeated. Well, that's the bottom line.
(28:03):
And what this past week is awaken a lot of
people too, Whether soon or a thousand years, Hence, I
don't know in the big scheme of eternity, it will
be here as quickly as a glance out the window. Right,
But the events of the past week in the Holy
Land does give us a lot to think about, and
(28:25):
really it should now is that a premature supposition on
my part. Will they live in peace from this part
going on? Or will this be the beginning of a
new age, a new age when things get peaceful before
they get mad again. I don't know, but I guess
(28:47):
if I had to bet on something, i'd bet on
the Bible. Of course, I guess that wouldn't be the
right thing to do either. Would you just have to
wait and see what happens. But these are maybe some
of the early ignols that things will happen. Maybe we
will be in for some period of face. Lord knows,
(29:08):
I hope. So we'll be back with more Right after this.

Speaker 10 (31:23):
Welcome back, ladies and gentlemen you're listening to. That's the
bottom line. Your weekly radio show on KLBI, that tells
it like it is as usual. This is Gene Valarati reporting. Well.
For the last three decades or so, you've heard me
every Saturday and Sunday morning providing you with investment solutions.
(31:48):
So obviously by now you would be correct to believe
me when you talk about it. And it must be
working well for all of our clients because they love
these plans and they've stayed with us for decades now.
There's money to be made with guarantees and of course
(32:11):
guarantees of no losses. That's important, right. You can make money,
but you don't lose money in these accounts, and it
can also provide our clients with long term financial security.
What's nice about these plans is that once you deposit money,
it earns returns which remain exempt from every penny it earns.
(32:37):
Now what that I mean by that it remains exempt
from taxation from every penny you earn, and your account
