But you can give them to the bath and be the.
Speaker 4 (01:51):
Morning everybody. This is that's the bottom line.
Speaker 6 (01:54):
I'm your host, Jeff Lewis of Asek Road the Associates,
along with Jean Valerami. Thanks for spiting part of your
weekend with us. It's great to be back. My wife
and I went to Mexico last week while all of
you were back here in Texas and joined the cold rain.
Of course that couldn't go unpunished, so naturally we came
back to a very heavy news week for her to start.
(02:16):
M Interest rates got cut a quarter point. Looks like
there may be a war brewing with Venezuela. Trump is
back on the stump. Talk battle affordability. Let's see, Oh
we got to lead with this our top line story.
Guess who's running for Senate in Texas?
Speaker 5 (02:33):
How about this new one?
Speaker 3 (02:34):
They have their new star, Crocket. How about her? She's
a new star of the Democrat Party, Jasmine Crockett. They're
in big trouble.
Speaker 4 (02:43):
But you have this woman Crockett.
Speaker 7 (02:45):
She's a very low IQ person.
Speaker 3 (02:47):
I watched her speak the other day.
Speaker 4 (02:48):
She's definitely a low IQ person, you know, when you're
on the radio every week.
Speaker 8 (02:54):
Sometimes we struggle to find content in this business, yes.
Speaker 9 (03:01):
And then sometimes, you know, we have.
Speaker 8 (03:03):
A very merciful God and he just seems fit to
give us a gift like this. Just so we're clear,
this was not a Republican attack ad. This is literally
Jasmine Crockett's own announcement video. I guess in a backward
sort of way, she wants you to think she's being ironic,
and maybe she is. Perhaps she's actually brilliant and she's
(03:27):
just feeding into these stereotypes to pull us all poor.
Speaker 10 (03:32):
He's doing. I'll have a nine cents and let me
just be real, and we don't gonna sit finished.
Speaker 5 (03:37):
We wouldn't, you know.
Speaker 11 (03:39):
We showed her and if he hasn't sin, then maybe
you would have been about that life.
Speaker 5 (03:43):
But y'all know, hang, I.
Speaker 10 (03:44):
No sense, So please give some love. This took a
little bit of coordinating to do.
Speaker 1 (03:49):
For sure.
Speaker 10 (03:50):
We got some cool shirts.
Speaker 4 (03:52):
We got we got nine and Williams poor. Maybe my
bills are gonna get paid for the next year.
Speaker 6 (03:59):
Okay, So Jasmine Crockett, after getting jerry mandered out of
her safe Dallas area house district, is running for Senate
because I don't know, Democrats were looking for the least
controversial and non offensive candidate they could find it in
the entire state of Texas.
Speaker 4 (04:15):
Because I mean, stuff like this is old news.
Speaker 7 (04:18):
Tonight, Texas Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett attempting damage control over comments
she made about Texas Governor Greg Abbott.
Speaker 11 (04:26):
Y'all know we got governor high wheels down there, come
on now.
Speaker 7 (04:29):
In a social media firestorm, Crockett accused of mocking Abbot's
use of a wheelchair during a speech out a human
rights campaign event.
Speaker 6 (04:37):
You know, if you're going to make a joke like that,
I'm just saying, this might be a good time for
her handlers to have a conversation about timing. Look, since
the rise of Donald Trump, it's really hard for Republicans
to sit here and act all but heard about the
words people say. It's just maybe it's that she lacks
(04:58):
a basic form of self awareness, where she just doesn't
realize that she doesn't have the charisma to pull off
the things she says.
Speaker 11 (05:06):
Turning Texas blue is what I want to talk to
y'all about today. Now, there are those that say, ain't
no way we didn't try it at fifty kinds of ways.
Let me be clear, y'all ain't never tried at the
JC way. They tell us that Texas is read, they
are lying, we're not. The reality is that most Texans
(05:30):
don't get.
Speaker 4 (05:30):
Out to vote poor. Maybe she says color blind.
Speaker 6 (05:34):
Look, she's partially right in her strategy that Democrats need
to turn out a lot of new voters if they
ever want to be competitive in Texas Again. Problem is,
she's got to convince a lot of existing voters swing voters.
On top of that, Beto o'rouric nearly pulled it off
in the Democratic wave election of twenty eighteen, which was
Trump's first midterm Senator Cruz only kept his seat by
(05:57):
three points, which made Beto a household in liberal land
virtually overnight. Now, Crockett is bidding heavily that she can
bring more energy to the ticket than the rest of
the Democratic field and in the process create a search
of new voters, particularly among minority women. Issue there is
that this can be a two way street. She's just
(06:18):
as likely to encourage people to vote against her, particularly
with comments like these.
Speaker 10 (06:23):
Be Here, in fact, we know the young lady that
lost her life. Specifically, we're saying that this is a
waste of time, but now you want to go against
every single immigrant. That doesn't make sense and it's frankly
not who we are. Because if that's the case, let's
talk about the white supremacist and how many of them
needs to be kicked out of this country because I
can guarantee you I can track down more crimes that
(06:45):
they've committed because overall, immigrants have a lower crime committal
rate than white supremacists.
Speaker 6 (06:53):
I mean, I'm not in favor of white for supremacy,
but the problem here is that Jasmine Crockett's definition of
white includes basically every white Republican voter. So her sudden
candidacy begs the question how did the Democrats let this happen?
I mean, the last two nominees, Colin Alred and Beto Auroric,
had already both announced, but then immediately dropped out and
(07:17):
cleared a way for her to run. It really doesn't
make much sense because if the Democrats want to retake
the Senate next year, on top of some other races,
they've got to win in Ohio plus either Alaska or Texas. Realistically,
Texas was their preferred path until now, at least Begg
and Kelly gave a plausible explanation for how this went down.
Speaker 12 (07:38):
This is the backstory behind how they got her to
believe she could win and when she announced she was running,
Colin Alred, the other contender in the DEM primary, immediately
dropped out and said it was because she entered the
race and betto Aurorica is out and it's basically hers
for the taking. There's one other guy she's running against,
(08:00):
but he doesn't have the kind of name recognition she has.
This is on the DEM side. She's going to get
crushed in the general, which is why the Republicans did
this and now are bragging about it. Here's the report.
Republicans' Senate Campaign ARM has actively worked behind the scenes
to encourage Crockett to jump in, believing that she will
(08:21):
be the easiest opponent to be Just a month ago,
there was grave concern among Republicans about the Senate race,
where incumbent John Corn's running for reelection. Democrats were running
two formidable candidates, and Cornyn was caught in the middle
of a bruising three way primary. The National Republican Senatorial
Committee put out a poll in July with Crockett's name
included because she had not been included in any of
the previous polling. That pole showed her as the leading
(08:45):
dem and in a hypothetical matchup, it was exclusively leaked
to The Daily Caller at the time, showing her with
thirty five percent Colin all Read at twenty, Beto Aururican
Joaquin Castro at just thirteen. The fact that she was
including that poll no accident. Those Republicans made sure she was.
Then they started circulating it and making sure that her
(09:07):
name got into other surveys, and she looked like she
was quote surging in the primary. The Republican Senatorial Committee
then worked to amplify those polls and has taken credit
for helping quote orchestrate the pylon of those polling numbers
to really drive the news cycle and the narrative that
Crockett was surging in Texas. And then, sure enough, Jasmin
(09:31):
Crockett responded by not to this article, but to her polls,
by saying, the more I saw the poll results, I
could not ignore the trends that were clear.
Speaker 6 (09:39):
So apparently the Republican Party duped her into running by
making it look like she can win.
Speaker 7 (09:45):
Now.
Speaker 6 (09:46):
Remember, any candidate can win if you don't turn out
the vote. But my guess is Repellent's going to be
turning out in droves to keep this little mistake from happening.
We'll be right back after this.
Speaker 2 (09:57):
We're just trying to turn a neckle in dial. That's
the bottom line.

Speaker 5 (13:36):
We're just trying to turn an appolent do what time.
That's the bottom line.
Speaker 6 (13:57):
Even we're backed, but that's the bottom line. I'm Jeff
Lewis now about this potential war brewing down in the Caribbean.
(14:19):
Last week while we were in Mexico, I was catching
up on the news and I knows this story about
Trump giving Maduro an ultimatum. In case you forgot, Maduro
is the president of the United Socialist Party down in Venezuela,
who was the handpicked successor of the previous dictator, Hugo Chavez,
who died in twenty thirteen. Now, by all accounts, Maduro
(14:41):
outright lost his last election, so familiar boat tallies were
not provided, despite on ground reports and exit polls indicating
an opposition party landslide. According to the organization led by
Maduro's rival Maria Karina Machado, who was barred from running
against Maduro but was just awarded a Nobel Peace Prize,
(15:02):
voting records were kept and secretly stored. They indicate a
sixty eight to thirty percent win for the opposition, a
four million vote spread with only about ten million votes cast.
A Maduro appointing court simply stated Maduro had narrowly won,
but released no data to back it up, only citing
(15:24):
a six point four million vote total for Maduro, which
amounted to fifty two percent of the vote. Maduro's re
election was supported by China, Russia, North Korea, and Iran,
and Maduro promptly ordered the arrest of Machado's standing candidate,
at Mundo Gonzalez. Machado herself went into hiding. The rest
(15:45):
of the free world has rejected these results. Maduro himself
has been indicted by the United States on charges of
narco terrorism. He is accused, in addition to drug exportation,
of cooperating and funding such terrorist organizations as Trendy aar Agua.
The United States has since seized over seven hundred million
(16:06):
dollars of his assets, including luxury homes in Florida. But
it's only a drop in the bucket for what that
crime organization is worth. The Trump administration, like much of
the rest of the world, recognizes Maria Karina Machado as
the rightful leader of Venezuela. Last week, President Trump ordered
Maduro to abdicate or else Negotiations broke down at the
(16:28):
Maduiro insisted that he be allowed to keep control over
his military, and Trump fight out rejected these demands. In
the United States has now closed Venezuelan airspace. Okay, so
that's the background. Flash forward to this week. On Wednesday,
the United States seized a massive oil tanker inbound of Venezuela.
Speaker 13 (16:47):
Tonight, an elite Coastguard team repelling out of helicopters onto
the deck of an oil tanker off the Venezuelan coast,
executing a seizure warrant, according to Attorney General Pam Bondi,
who says the tanker was part of an illa illicit
oil shipping network supporting foreign terrorist organizations transporting sanctioned oil
from Venezuela and Iran.
Speaker 3 (17:07):
Oh, we've just seized a canker on the coast of.
Speaker 10 (17:12):
Venezuela large tanker, very large, largest one ever sees action
and other things are happening.
Speaker 13 (17:22):
It's a new escalation in President Trump's pressure campaign against
Venezuela and what he calls its illegitimate narco terrorist regime.
The president was asked about what will become of the
oil aboard, Well, we keep it. I guess it comes
amid President Trump's war on drug cartels, sending America's largest
aircraft carrier to the Caribbean and striking twenty two boats
(17:42):
the US says were smuggling drugs, killing at least eighty
six people.
Speaker 6 (17:47):
More about blowing up the boats in a minute. Maduro
has pledged to retaliate with military action and At the
same time, missus Machado has magically resurfaced in Oslo, Norway,
just hours after her daughter accept that her Nobel Beast
Prize on her behalf. She was joined by many fellow
leaders of her neighboring South American nations, including Trump's buddy
(18:08):
Argentina's president Pavier Mile.
Speaker 4 (18:11):
Now, color me skeptical, but I don't.
Speaker 6 (18:13):
Believe in those kinds of coincidences. It's becoming increasingly clear
that Trump is quietly embracing the idea of regime change
in Venezuela.
Speaker 4 (18:22):
Which kind of flies.
Speaker 6 (18:23):
In the face of every other foreign policy position that
he ever held. Well save the domestic politics of that
for another day, but let's look at the idea on
the Merits and other places around the world. I've openly
stated regime change is a bad idea, like say, earlier
this year and Iran, where we don't know what a
new government would look like.
Speaker 4 (18:43):
If we took out the eye Tola, we might not
get an improvement.
Speaker 6 (18:48):
I believe Iraq taught us a lot of things, including
us former new Conservatives, that you can't just take out
governments and expect democracy to take hold in places where
there's no democratic traditions, It doesn't just grow like grass.
In reality, history has taught us that one vispotic regime
usually replaces another. But I'm actually willing to keep an
(19:10):
open mind about Venezuela. And the central reason for that
is that we actually do have a legitimate replacement leader
ready to go, with a populace very likely willing to
accept her. Is it worth the cost of American military
action if it comes to that? Again, I'm open to
the possibility for the simple reason that the narco terrorist
(19:32):
state of Venezuela already costs American lives and treasure in
its current form. This is a discussion worth having, and
rcp's Tom Bevin hosted a forum last weekend where this
exchange happened between Democratic House Member Adam Smith and Florida's
Republican Senator Rick Scott.
Speaker 4 (19:50):
We'll start with Smith.
Speaker 14 (19:51):
So, is this about stopping drugs coming into the US?
When we get an argument this about whether or not
blowing up what is it twenty twenty five votes in
the Caribbean is really going to have that impact? But
you got asked the question, is that really what it's about?
And also, the deadliest drug in America is fentanyl and
we're blowing up cocaine. Not the cocaine isn't a problem,
all right, But it seems to me if you were
really focused on it, you'd be focused on the finnel.
Speaker 4 (20:12):
Okay, stop for a sec.
Speaker 6 (20:14):
Obviously, blowing at the boats isn't going to massively reduce
the drug flow in any tangible way. But it's a
psychological move on our part. And Smith seems to miss that.
He does raise a common criticism and that's why we're
not focused on fentanyl here.
Speaker 4 (20:30):
But while fentanyl killed about.
Speaker 6 (20:32):
Forty eight thousand people last year, cocaine still killed twenty
two thousand Americans.
Speaker 4 (20:37):
Cocaine and meth combined is about the same ass fentanyl.
So let need the discussion. Doesn't solve the issue, Okay.
Speaker 6 (20:44):
Keep going.
Speaker 14 (20:45):
So I worry about one. Is really what's happening here?
Or is this more a matter of as we just
solve with the national security strategy, the assertion of dominance
over the Western hemisphere, and we want to assert that
dominance and think that in the best interests of the
American people. So I want to stop the drugs. I'm
not sure that this is exactly the best way to
(21:06):
go about doing it, and the legality of it does matter.
I mean, President Trump has decided that we're going to
have the death penalty for drug dealers, and he's going
to be judge, jury, and executioner with no due process,
no probable cause, and no congressional approval.
Speaker 6 (21:22):
Dude, you forgot. The cartel is now a terrorist organization,
so the legal protections for the boats that you're interested
in protecting no longer apply. Listen to how Senator Scott response.
Speaker 15 (21:34):
I am fine with killing drugs, killing people at bringing
drugs to the country and try to kill my grandkids.
I'm fine with it every day if they want to.
You want to bring have a boat a budge of
drugs come to the country, I'm fine with We blowma
bload them to smitheries. We have got to stop that
all these drugs from coming in.
Speaker 6 (21:50):
You see, the Democrats are more interested in attacking President
Trump for political reasons than they are at actually protecting
our country. That's how you had what happened with the border.
We'll be right back where just trying.
Speaker 2 (22:01):
To turn a nickel into a die.
Speaker 5 (22:03):
That's the bottom line.
Speaker 2 (22:14):
Where's just trying to turn a nickel into a dime.
That's the bottom line.
Speaker 9 (22:19):
Good morning, Welcome to That's the bottom line, your weekly
program on KLVI. That tells it like it is, with
Jeene Valerini reporting, well, I guess it's time to turn
our attention to the next big holiday, which of course
is Christmas. But unfortunately, as we soon celebrate the birth
(22:40):
of the Princess Peace, we find a world without peace
this year, as is the case, or as was the
case so many years. As time goes by and we
wonder what to expect next. Besides the Middle East, we
have new problems in Venezuela. Interesting enough, until the government
(23:02):
was overthrown and fell into a dictatorship. Venezuela was well.
It used to be a modern country, they tell me,
with free markets, grocery stores packed with food, and one
of the best economies in South America. That is until
(23:22):
it fell into a string of communist dictators. Let that
be a warning to everybody. Communism is not your friend.
Communism will destroy you and your family, and then it'll
be a two system thing where the communists do, okay
(23:43):
that the average people they just have to suffer. Well,
until President Trump was elected, our own country was collapsing
into what I call left wing socialism. And now then
the which is based the present situation in the Democrat Party,
(24:04):
they're socialists. And all it takes is a crooked president
like Joe Biden, who surrounded himself with crooked cronies that
wanted to pack the United States with foreigners who never
intended to become Americans, but rather conduct criminal enterprises. And
of course, as you know, wides spread passing along widespread drugs,
(24:27):
selling them, destroying young lives, enforcing young girls, and the prostitution,
and much worse. Not to mention the Afghan criminals that
have been brought here as refugees. But now we're finding
out that some have turned into criminals and some into murderers.
(24:47):
They say Michigan as many other states are full of
these people. So if we're not careful, eventually we would
have been overthrown by them, as is already the case
in some places. Criminal south of the border, and as
well as new Muslim enclaves in some communities now practice
(25:10):
a real law. Can you imagine that? Well, freedom of religion,
but sharia law is a little bit different than religion
as we understand it. How long would it have taken
to overrun the country and have the United States collapse
as we now know it. You know that's what they're
trying to do. Be happy. We have President Trump as
(25:32):
president and Governor Abbott is the governor of Texas. Where
we find Muslim communities behind walls and cut off, places
doesn't look or places that don't look or sound like Texas.
But let's face it, ladies and gentlemen, not too many
are assimilating into becoming everyday Americans, and sure not Texans.
(25:56):
And this is where we find ourselves currently. And Trump
has ordered a halt from massive migration from much of
the Muslim world much since so many of those we
have led into the United States refused to assimilate and
they now practice terrorist acts in American cities. In Michigan,
(26:19):
many of those foreign people from Afghanistan who we thought
were looking for peace in the United States, but they
had other ideas. In Michigan, there's word many of them
are pilfering state funds, people paying taxes up there and
are being pilfered by the Muslims that who have come here.
(26:41):
We've let them in and we see what they're doing.
What does that mean for you and your children's future?
That's what I want to know. I think it was
Ronald Reagan that said, unlike in past decades and centuries,
the Americans, that's you and me, have nowhere to migrate
for us, this country of ours. Fortunately, we have President
(27:03):
Trump at the helm who's determined to close our borders
temporarily at least. But then we have some really crooked
pro communists Democrats filling the seats of our Congress and
even our Senate. If they gain control, will once again
be overrun with criminals, drugs, and the sort of folks
(27:25):
who will just make mayhem. Makes one fearful of the
future when you think about it. Given a chance, the
Democrats will continue to try and take away your firearms
and mine so they can control us better. That's the
game plan. Trust me, you know that's the game plan. Remember,
(27:45):
takes a good person with the gun to stop a
bad person with the gun. So let's hope they never
accomplished taken away your firearms, leaving many Americans defenseless. Nonetheless,
in a few weeks we're going to be celebrated in
Christmas and commemorating Jesus' birth. As we all know by now,
he eventually paid the price for sinful mankind. Not only
(28:10):
that we have assurances he will return and ourser peace
for all and the virtual heaven on earth. Well, that
sounds pretty good to me. In the meantime, we have
to reply on his promises to return and our determination
to make the world a better place to live in. Now,
(28:33):
everyone to remember that it's time to think ahead a
little bit. Christmas is going to come and go, and
we're going to be back to the world that we
live in, and it's going to be time for everyone
to set some funds aside. And it's really great if
you could put the money in a situation where you
(28:54):
could earn earn returns without worrying about a drop in
the stock market making everything away. So I want you
to remember that, and we'll be back with much more
right after these importance Just.

We're just trying to turn a nickel into a dime.
That's the bottom line.
Speaker 9 (31:17):
Welcome back, ladies and gentlemen you're listening to that's the
bottom line. You're weekly broadcast on KLBI that tells it
like it is. Once again, this is Gene Valerani reporting
and it's signed for a solution. Now, wouldn't be right
for us to do a show on investments, so I
(31:40):
want to pass this along to you this morning. I
want to tell you that when making an investment decision,
you have to find what is comfortable for you and
how you want the investment to grow, and to do
so with the least possible risk. It that asset growth
(32:01):
Associate because at our company here we offer the plans
that fit all the many needs for accumulating money over
time without exposing those investment dollars to loss when the
stock market has a downturn. I just can't imagine this.
(32:22):
I just can't imagine this enough. It's called principal protection,
that's what I'm talking about. And when you invest with us,
you never lose money, and when you're ready to take
an income from it, you can take an income. You
can cash a whole thing in or you could take
it in bits and pieces, and your returns is going
(32:45):
to be either linked to the stock market or a
fixed interest account, whatever you want. Either way, your money
grows over time, and these accounts are great for both
four oh one K rollovers and pension rollovers and other
accounts available to grow over time and accumulate earnings without
having a downturn along the way when the market, you know,
(33:07):
has one of its hiccups. This is why it's called
principal protection. When the stock market has a downturn, money
in one of these plans doesn't lose a dime, and
when the market comes back, it just picks up where
it is left off, and there's no weight to get
going again, because while everybody's playing catch up, you're already
(33:32):
moving aheading. These plans are great for pension and four
oh one K rollovers and for anything people save money for. Now,
we've all been told to save money for rainy days,
and as the years roll by, inflation and other financial
contracts have a hard time keeping up with the roller
coaster ride of market ups and downs. And that's why
(33:55):
we offer these contracts. Remember, these plans that I'm talking
about do not lose money durre in a market downturn,
and that means there's no way to just get back
to even while everybody else is trying to just catch up.
Here's what I want you to do. Call us an
