Remember what it was impossible to misplacethe TV remote because you were the TV
remote. Remember when music sounded likethis? Remember when social media was truly
social? Hey, don, how'sit going today? Well, this show
is all about you. This isfifty plus with Doug Pike, helpful information

(00:28):
on your finances, good health, and what to do for fun. Fifty
plus brought to you by the UTHealth Houston Institute on Aging Informed Decisions for
a healthier, happier life, andby Texas Indoor Air Quality Specialists because clean
air is healthier air. And nowfifty plus with Doug Pike. All right,

(00:50):
welcome aboard Thursday issue of this program. Thank you all for listening.
Thank you very very much. Youappreciate it giving up a little bit of
your lunch hour, as they say, And hey, lunch hour these days,
for some of us is very comfortable, very fun, very wonderful for
at least I don't you power?Powerless? Yeah? You, I've had

(01:15):
power since two today. I forgotabout that. I just put it out
of my mind. What about you? No, we still have nothing will
and we're rapidly running out of cleanclothes. I mean we really are.
At some point we're gonna have tofind a laundromat, and I wouldn't know
where to find one. Let's gosit in there for a couple of hours.

(01:36):
And I mean I know some butthey're all in the loop. Yeah.
Well, well we're not staying athome right now. How far would
you trust? Would you feel comfortablein there in a laundromat? Yeah,
there's coffee shops right next door,so you can go and get coffee and
where, Yes, send me,send me an address because I may have

(01:57):
to go out to the house andget a little detergent and get after it.
Yeah, very frustrating, and atleast, if nothing else, we
just need to do a load ofundergarments, just because you after four days
of this mess. I mean,I'm sure there's extra at the house.
I have to go back and rootaround in there. But my wife and

(02:19):
I both are just kind of lookingat each other. You know, I'm
about to run out of socks, about to run out of underwear, and
I'm not ready to go command thoughnot yet. You know, although it
might be a little be a littlebreezier, maybe probably it might be a
little more comfortable, I might haveto rethink that might not be the end
of the world. Welcome to dayfour of the wretched hot mess that is

(02:42):
recovery from Hurricane Beryl. I'm genuinelyhappy, I really am for those of
you whose power has been restored. And what I learned yesterday from Center Point,
at least as we were told,is that most of my little area
was restored yesterday except for six deight homes, just sixty eight impacted by

(03:02):
one tree on top of one residentialtransformer on the ground. We have underground
utility lines out there, so it'snot like they had to come cut out
a bunch of stuff and restring wiresup in the air. All they've got
to do is bring a chainsaw, get that big tree off the ground and

(03:23):
out of the way, replace thetransformer, and then then let the homeowner
deal with the rest of that tree. I guess, but that hasn't been
done yet. And by the way, I looked again at Center Points map
of what was up and running andwhat was not in my area, and

(03:43):
today the not up and running wasmuch bigger than it was yesterday. There
was a lot of stuff in thegreen yesterday, power restored. Everybody go
have fun, But apparently it wasunrestored at some point yesterday. Unless I'm
misreading it, and I don't thinki am. This has just been one

(04:06):
one frustration after another. I guessthey'll get it done as fast as they
can. I did see that.I saw a story in the paper this
morning about Centerpoint actually being a littleahead of restoration pace than after several previous
and recent hurricanes. But that wouldbe something you'd expect if they're learning from

(04:30):
every disaster how to better prepare forthe next one. It's still not helpful,
though, And one guy pointed outto me, he said, look,
they kind of run the show, and they can kind of tell you
whatever they want to tell you abouthow fast they're getting it done. For
those of us who are already cooledoff and back at home, they're thrilled

(04:51):
to death with the pace of it, I guess, or at least we'll
forget about it sooner than I will, because I've I've been displaced for long
enough. Now I've been displaced forlong enough. It's becoming a source of
irritation, unfortunately, and I don'tlike that. I don't like to lose

(05:13):
my calm over things like this. But between getting a little older and having
my wife to worry about my son, to worry about a guinea pig,
to worry about who was in ahouse that was so hot yesterday. He
was probably maybe two or three degreesfrom a heat stroke. And had that

(05:34):
happened, it would it would havejust absolutely crushed my wife and my son,
and I would have been disappointed aswell. Totally unnecessary. All right,
we'll move on through these heat endicesof one hundred plus degrees. It's
not as hot as it was yesterday, but it's still amply hot to be

(05:55):
miserable in a home that hasn't hadair conditioning blowing through it in a while.
Time Now, for highs and lowsin high coup courtesy is always of
Texas Indoor air quality specialists, becausecleaner air is healthier air. I'll pound
two fifty, say healthy air,and you will be connected to their be

(06:18):
connected to their office and they canexplain exactly what they do and how much
it's going to help you. Stilla million dark, slightly cooler, but
still hot. Can't wait for winter? M What do you think of that?
You know, last summer it wasdroughts, no rec This summer it's

(06:41):
hurricanes. Direct shows the powers justalways out. Yeah, that's not fun.
That's not fun. That's somebody justsend me. Why won't you just
break down, spend the money andbuy a generator. I would, except
that my wife gets migraines from repetitivenoises and loud noises. Soul generator not

(07:02):
going to do us any good unlesswe can put it in a bubble,
a soundproof bubble, you know,if they can do that on the stage
of the wall, you know whatI'm talking about, Put somebody in a
soundproof booth where they can't hear anythingall the cheering and clapping and all that
outside of there. No for PinkFloyd, No, no, no,
not that wall. It's a gameshow. There'd have to be a way

(07:26):
to do that. I would liketo do that, I really would.
We've invested a lot of money inthicker and thicker windows in our home to
where my wife has aut of asanctuary. It's a beautiful place for her
to go if she ever feels likeshe needs it, and it's been greatly
helpful. But more and more peopleare putting in generators around us, and
it's just it's becoming very difficult todo. Still, a million people in

(07:50):
the dark too. That's what's amazingto me. Still a million people in
the dark, that's frightening. I'dmuch rather do with that cold. Honestly,
we've got a gas fireplace which keptus alive a few years ago.
Easier to defend against cold, todefend that with closing blankets in extreme heat,

(08:11):
even one layer of closes too manythough, And it's against the law
to walk around naked. It's probablya good law, all right. Will
says, he's ringing out the clothes. They're ringing the sweat out of my
clothes. Yep, Lord Kirk Combs, you know, you build a beautiful
custom home, and I think itwould be a good idea in this climate
to add a generator to it.In my case, i'd have to just

(08:31):
move it away from the house, put it way out back behind the big
garage that I would like to havefor all my fishing tackle and hunting gear
and ate whatever else. In mydreams, I would have Kirk Coombs would
do that for me. They certainlywould. They've been building custom homes throughout
the region for thirty plus years now. Third generation, great family of people,

(08:56):
great team of designers and architects whocan start youry toward your dream home,
either from a nearly complete set ofblueprints or you've just scribbled something on
a napkin that kind of looks likewhat you're thinking it maybe ought to look
like. They'll start wherever you want, but ultimately you will end up at
your dream home. They build everywherefrom northwest Houston out through San Antonio,

(09:20):
through College Station to Austin and asyou can imagine, out in that beautiful
part of Texas, they've built someabsolutely exquisite homes. Kirkhomes dot com is
website the only two things coming atwo by six exterior wall all the way
around there for better installation, anda twenty year structural warranty, which is

(09:41):
twice the industry standard. Kirkhomes dotcom is a website that's k you are
k because at kirk Homes it's allabout you, aged to perfection. This
is fifty plus with Dougpike. Allright, welcome back fifty plus on this

(10:15):
Thursday, Day four, host posttrauma. I guess whatever. So frustrating
it usually is in these situations, there's just not anything you can do about
it. That's what's really frustrating.Continuing with where we usually go along these
lines. The markets were doing theirusual little baby dance this morning, not

(10:41):
moving much one way or the other, although the rustle was actually up nearly
three percent, and I think,if I remember correctly, oil was up
about a quarter eighty two dollars insomething, and the price of gold courtesy
of Houston Gold Exchange dot Com alsowas up I want to say six or

(11:05):
eight dollars. I didn't type itin here because something came up, but
I want to say it was upsix or eight dollars to around twenty three
eighty five. That's two thousand dollarsand three hundred and eighty five dollars for
an ounce of gold. So itmight be time to go back to some

(11:26):
of these places where you can panfor gold in a park. Get out
your little pan, get a littlemud and water going through there will.
Have you ever panned for gold, panned for gold? I don't think so.
I haven't either. It's fascinating andit's you know, there's always that
chance. It's kind of like goingto Vegas. I don't know how much
it costs to go to go panfor gold at some of these places,

(11:50):
but boy, if you ever trippedover. A good sized nugget might be
worth the cost of your whole trip. Buy a big sluice. It's just
become a gold miner. We shouldthink about that. I don't know why
not. You don't like being outsideto him? No, I like it
inside? Yeah, yeah, okay, never mind, all right, moving

(12:11):
on. We can't we can't ignorethe gray elephant in the room. I'm
deeply concerned, honestly about the theamount of time Hunter Biden spending with his
father in high level meetings at theWhite House. This man Hunter really has
no credentials to be in those meetingsother than to represent his father as best

(12:39):
he can, I'm sure, ButI also have to feel like that he
and several other family members realize nowthat their meal ticket may not be worth
the extensive dollars millions of dollars he'ssecured for him in the past. And
Hunter's just the guy to take thereins and give it whatever it is at

(13:01):
this point, just give it allhe's got. I'll be curious to see,
by the way, if Biden isnot re elected, I'll be curious
to see what the value of Hunter'spaintings are Once his dad's out of the
White House. I suspect that theywould be reduced nearly to nil. I've

(13:22):
seen some of them, and whileI am not an artist, I actually
took some fine art courses when Iwas in school, and I don't see
anything in his work that even whispers, let alone screams fine art up in
New York. Oh, the thethings they have to do endure in New

(13:45):
York. Right, Hotels are goingto have to stop supplying those tiny little
bottles of shampoo, body washing lotionor they will face fines and that fine.
The first time they catch you, they'll give you thirty days to stop
it, because they want to savethe planet from wasted plastic. So the

(14:05):
way they're gonna do that is totake away those little bottles and replace them
with larger, pump style refillable bottlesthat may or may not wind up getting
a little cringey, depending on whouse those products the day before you checked
in. By the way, thefine if they come back thirty days after

(14:26):
they found a violation and find anotherone, it's gonna cost that hotel two
hundred and fifty dollars, which itmakes pretty much every night on any room
in New York city, so notto be worried. I think the second
level fine is five hundred bucks.Maybe I'm just not so sure those bottles

(14:48):
are gonna really be thoroughly cleaned betweenguests, because housekeeping staff in some places
just might see that as a skippablestep in the cleaning process, and every
minute they can skip means they canfinish sooner and still get paid by lingering
in the last room they're cleaning andjust maybe taking a movie or a soap

(15:11):
opera or something. I actually sawthat change to the bigger bottles in place
when my son and I were inLake Charles recently for a baseball tournament.
The hotel in which we stayed hadthose bigger bottles all the way over in
China. This caught my attention thismorning, and I need to remember to

(15:33):
use it on Saturday. In myoutdoors show all the way over in China,
there was a guy getting ready toget on an airplane boarding a flight
within the country. He was flyingdomestically, and he was pulled aside because
the authorities suspected something was something waswrong. There was just something about this

(15:56):
guy that didn't make sense, likethat his pockets were moving a little bit.
I would bet they were, becausewhat they found when they pulled him
off to the side and had himempty his pockets, very large pockets with
plastic bags that contained one hundred andfour what will, I don't know what,

(16:22):
Take a guess, now, they'reanimals. Okay, I'm gonna go
with weasels. You would snakes?Actually, oh, he was carrying one
hundred and four snakes, all juveniles. Now, obviously you couldn't put one
hundred and four full grown snakes ofmore than a couple of species I can

(16:44):
think of on your person like that. But what I found most interesting about
that story was that those snakes weren'tnative to China necessarily. There were milk
snakes, corn snakes, Western hognosed snakes, Texas rat snakes, and
bull snakes, And of those,I've handled at least a few of every

(17:04):
one of them and kept three ofthem temporarily, and by temporarily that translates
to mostly when my mother found out, but kept three of them temporarily as
pets because I think snakes are cool, I really do. But although the
bull snake was pretty angry all thetime I just walked past his little aquarium,

(17:26):
he was in and he would justsmash his nose into the glass.
He didn't like you though. Hedidn't liked me at all. He bit
me four or five times. Good. No, the rat snakes were cool.
I had a speckled king snake onetime that was just chill as chill
can bee, great snake fun pet. I think I've talked about my friend

(17:47):
over in south in Mobile, Alabamawho was gathering venomous snakes and came home
one day and his mother was onthe kitchen table. I'll explain that when
we get back you. TA Healthis a collaborative, an amazing collaborative of
providers, hundreds of them from everymedical discipline, who are mostly around the

(18:08):
medcenter in and around the med center, but also many of them in outlying
communities, either full time or atleast for a couple of days a week.
And every one of these people,no matter what their primary discipline is,
has taken on additional education and trainingin how what they know best can
be best applied to seniors. Extraeducation so that our situations, which are

(18:36):
unique they most certainly are, canbe put into the equations so that they
can come up with a better strategyto fix whatever's broken on you. Excellent
resources at the website and all kindsof things. You'll have to just go
there and see for yourselves how manydifferent things you can learn by spending time

(18:56):
at ut Health Science Center's website. That website just happens to be ut dot
edu slash aging uth dot edu slashaging. You know, they sure don't
make them like they used to.That's why every few months we wash them,
check his fluids, and spring ona fresh coat of wax. This

(19:19):
is fifty plus with Doug Pike. All right, welcome back to fifty bloss.
Thanks for listening. Certainly do appreciateit. On this Thursday, a

(19:41):
little bit of rain in the forecast. I actually saw a story that and
this also I believe was in thepaper this morning, said that center points
on point taking care of business, but threats of more storms. I eat,
just a couple of rain showers coulddelay the better not delay the effort.

(20:03):
It better not if it rains. They just need to go work somewhere
where it's not raining until it's notraining in that first spot, and then
go back and finish it later. But they they've allegedly got what ten twelve
thousand people working on this, andthey need to kind of get after it.
It's becoming just unacceptable, very frustrating, very frustrating. Let's get back

(20:32):
to see. Oh, what wasI going to tell you when we got
oh, my friend's snakes. Yeah, one of the guys I went to
school with over there in Mobile livedin town, came home one day.
He, by the way, wascollecting cotton mouse water moccasins for the medical
school over there because they were usingthe venom from those those snakes for various

(20:56):
I don't know what they used themfor in the medical school. I wasn't
enrolled in medical school, but thebottom lane was that's what they were doing.
And he came home one day andhis mom was sitting on the table
with a broom in her hands, and had been there apparently for a couple
of hours, because when she wentinto his room to do something, one
of the snakes was missing Mia orh I guess missing in house and she

(21:22):
had not come down from there. She had established the high ground and was
not going to be surprised by asnake. He found it pretty quickly.
Actually, it was cuddled up inthe warm air of the refrigerator exhaust if
you will, the byproduct of shovingcolder in there, which means it has
to displace the warmer air. Andanybody who's walked by the refrigerator as a

(21:48):
kid in bare feet in the wintertimeknows that that was a toasty place to
leave your toes for a little whileif you want to, just linger by
the refrigerator and feel that warm air. So they found the snake. All
that ends well, right, tookcare of that, took care of that,
took care of that. Oh,by the way, yet another example
here we go again of the leftnot punishing its own for things conservatives would

(22:11):
absolutely lose their jobs over in aheartbeat. Harvard University did the right thing
early on and actually suspended five studentsand put many more on probation after that
twenty day encampment up there on theesteemed campus of that Ivy League university put

(22:34):
those five on probation. Well, those five now have been Harvard's reversed the
suspensions of the five, and notonly that, but it says that they
have reduced the penalty to those whogot probation in the first place. The
suspensions were changed to probations. Theprobations were probably dropped to uh huh,

(22:59):
you crazy kids. You don't dothat anymore, promise pinky swear? Okay,
fine, Probably no punishment at allfor those kids, which I I
disagree with. Honestly, I understandtheir want to protest, and it would
have been more impactful if they actuallyunderstood what they were protesting, but most
of them didn't. Let's do somethingsofter. Will for just a minute,

(23:25):
paying attention will because here it comes. Wait, that's not the page I
want. Are you ready? Now? Are you connected? Are we connected?
Yes? They'll do pay attention willsomething? God, something's got to
change. Fun fact or crash bang? All right, give me a fun
fact. Yeah, this is kindof cool. Jeth row Tull you know

(23:48):
the band? Right? Yes?Was Jeff row Tull a real person or
not? I don't know. Maybeprobably God, you're just so vague with
em. Yes he was. Hewas a British agricultural pioneer in the seventeen
hundred, So in truth, thatband also probably could have been named John

(24:11):
Deere instead of Jethro Tall. Goodn'tit. I don't know how would John
Deere feel about naming somebody naming aband after an agricultural pioneer. I think
that just fits right in they couldwear green and yellow. When did John
Deere come into play? I'm notsure, but I actually know a man.

(24:33):
I fished with a man who waspart of the John Deere family.
And let's just say he's doing allright. He's doing alright. Great.
Guy, loves to fish. Hefishes all over the world pretty much anytime
he's ready to go fishing. Atremendous fisherman he is, and in all

(24:55):
levels of fishing. But number one, you don't care about that or too.
You wouldn't understand some of them.So it's okay. I'm not saying
you you couldn't, but you justit's just not part of John Deere was
founded in eighteen thirty seven, soGrand Detour, Illinois. Yes, that's
correct. And he was born ineighteen oh four in Rutland Town, Vermont.

(25:18):
Yeah, so they could have namedthe band after him too. I
guess that's old enough. But Ifeel like Jethrow Toll sounds a little cooler.
Well if you if it would ifit had always been John Deere then
and they'd come out with the songsSmoke on the Water stuff like that,
wouldn't that be enough to Yeah,I think John Deere's cooler. If that

(25:40):
was always the name, then JethrowTall, who the heck's he? Some
dude from this from the eighteenth century. Well, maybe they didn't want the
farm. Did Jethrow Toll have acompany? Maybe they didn't want to deal
with those I don't think so.Well, that's true. They could have
had naming. Oh yeah, justit gets so messy when you yeah,
a giant, giant company like JohnDeere, a giant deer crash bang.

(26:06):
I'll do that one anyway, eventhough you didn't pick it. Dealership in
Connecticut in really big trouble, okay, car dealership. A couple of employees
saw that the shop, the mechanicalside, the repair area, fix your
replace or whatever they're going to doover there had a twenty eight a beautiful

(26:26):
rare twenty eighteen Camaro in it gonnaget some work to a little service department
work. They thought, you know, the best thing we could do to
help that car right now and tohelp ourselves, would just take it for
a little ride, take it forspin. Let's spun it on out of
the parking lot, spun it downthe street, and apparently wrapped it around

(26:47):
a pole or something, cause it'stotaled. Letus you think that twenty eighteen
Camaro. It's just a Camaro.Now, it's not a Bugatti, it's
a Camaro. So be realistic. How much you think that car is worth?
And which is, by the way, not anything like what it's going
to cost to settle this with thedealership. And he's going to get more

(27:08):
than value for it. But twentythousand, oh lord, no, well
forty ninety seven thousand dollars ninety seven. I don't know what was done to
it that made it that rare orthat expensive, but yeah, they're going
to have to sell an awful lotof cars pretty quickly to do it.
Maybe it was Bumblebee, you knowthe Transformer. Ooh maybe I don't know.

(27:33):
I don't know. I don't leavethis. Oh here, this is
half a minute? Is that whatI have? You have out? Fifteen
seconds? I'll save it. Wehave Bunny News coming up next on fifty
plus. On the way out,I'll tell you about Texas Indoor Air Quality
Specialists. This is a group. One man owns the company and has for

(27:56):
twenty something years. Started out inthe AC business, then he he he
boiled it down to the part ofit that he really liked and he really
wanted to help people with, whichis cleaning air ducks. And he now
has several crews that will go justabout anywhere you are in Southeast Texas within
reason. They're not gonna go allthe way up to Tyler or something.

(28:21):
Text science into air quality specialist willcome to your house. They will clean
the coils on every unit you have. They will clean the plenium of every
unit you have, and then theywill go through the house to every single
duct you have there and make surethat it is clean all the way back
to the plenum with a pneumatic whipwhich is part of a patented truck mounted

(28:44):
system of vacuuming system that goes inthere and basically just vibrates all that stuff
until it lets go of the insideof the duck work and just dout.
It goes to the street to thecurb into the truck, and when they
leave, they take it all withthem. Now, this is gonna take
two guys probably four hours, fourand a half, maybe even five hours,

(29:06):
depending on the size of your houseand number events, to make sure
they get it all. But they'renot gonna leave until they do no hidden
fees, either like a carpet companyor something like that. When you finish
talking to them on the phone andyou agree that they're gonna come do your
duct work, you'll know exactly howmuch it's gonna cost. You dial pound
two fifty healthy air, pound twofifty healthy air. The phone probably will

(29:32):
be answered by the owner of thecompany himself. Either way, if you
drop my name, you're gonna geta nice discount, and you're gonna get
cleaner, healthier air, which iskind of redundant, really cleaner healthier air.
Pound two fifty healthy air, poundtwo fifty healthy air. What's life
without a nap? I suggest yougo to bed, sleep it off,
Just wait until the show's over.Sleepy. Back to Doug Pike as fifty

(29:57):
plus continues. All right, welcomeback pours the final segment of fifty plus

(30:18):
stars right now. Thank you forhanging around listening to see what's going on
in the world around us, exceptfor the heat for those of us,
just a million left, Just amillion of us left, that's all.
I don't know what happened to thatmillion they were supposed to fix yesterday,
But I don't think they did. They promised us that a million more people
were going to have power by Wednesdayevening, end of the day Wednesday.

(30:40):
And then one thing I found quitetroubling is that at twelve oh five midnight,
five minutes after the stroke of midnight, I got a text from them.
I believe it was they were justthis big, long text to tell
us to remind everybody that they werestill working really hard to get everything back
on line and that there would bedetailed information by the How did they how

(31:08):
did they phrase it by the oh, detailed information too, I don't remember,
But what it was I can't rememberoffhand, and I don't know if
I have time to look for it. But the bottom line is the reason
it clicked at twelve oh five wasbecause I think they were trying to stretch

(31:30):
it for another day. Oh yes, it used the word tomorrow. So
they sent it out at twelve ohfive and said, yeah, we're gonna
have tons of information and have somereal detailed information on repaired estimated times and
whatnot by the end of tomorrow.Well, they sent that at twelve oh
five on Thursday. And if thatmeans that they're going to roll some of
us into the weekend. That's that'sreally disturbing. It really is, and

(31:53):
it's really it's really becoming an issuefor some of us. And again,
I'm so happy for all of youwho have it. That's fine with me.
I have no problem with that atall. But dog gone, just
dog gone. All right, let'sgo to Let's go to Washington, d
C. And check in on AOCCongresswoman Alexandria Ocassio Courtes filed articles of impeachment

(32:17):
against Supreme Court Justices Clarence Thomas andSamuel Alito. I'm not sure why she
just won't come out and say shethinks they're too conservative and that they're unable
to judge cases on their merits alone. You know, every judge we send
to that Supreme Court leans in theway that the person who who recommends them,

(32:38):
who who nominates them leans. That'sbeen the way the Supreme Court has
been for a long time, andover time it tends to balance itself out.
But what's happened now is that whenwhen the Left isn't satisfied with something,
they try to they try to shutit down, they try to move
it out of the way so thatit can be replaced with someone who thinks

(33:00):
exactly like they do until they getall the positions. It's very frustrating.
They're not too conservative. They're they'reSupreme Court judges. They have all of
them. And on both sides therewas even what's her name, Katanji Brown?
I can't remember her first name?Do you know it? Off?
M will no okay in any inany case, she ruled recently in a

(33:29):
more conservative direction on a case becauseshe was able to look at it through
through unbiased eyes. It's strictly basedon the Brown Jackson thank you. Yeah,
I knew I was close. Ijust didn't know how close or far.
In any event, she went theslightly more conservative route in her decision

(33:49):
because it was just that was thedecision. It should have been made based
on the law. You don't haveto look beyond Houston, though, to
find examples of at least modest exerciseof judicial favoritism. But I tell you
what, unless AOC wants to openthe books on everybody in high levels at
all three branches of our government, including herself, I would add I recommend

(34:10):
that she politely step away from themicrophone and maybe withdraw those filings because she's
going to open up something that sheprobably doesn't want to open up. Also
from DC, I found this interesting. Fox News reports that Biden's team's credibility
is shot after it was real thata Parkinson specialist has visited the White House

(34:35):
eight times in about as many months, all while KP or KJP excuse me,
kept telling us there was nothing tothe rumors of neurologists working with our
president. Turns out that was aload of hohoy, and she knew it,
which doesn't surprise anybody anyway. Andby the way, Biden's answer to

(34:59):
americans concerns over his ability to performhis duty of late has been, well,
watch me. Well we're doing that, mister president. And anybody who's
doing that with their eyes open cansee that you're you're not in terribly good
shape. And again, I respectthe man, and I feel sorry for
the man. I don't like hispolicies at all, but as a human,

(35:20):
he's he's suffering. He has tobe. He's got to be frustrated
over his cognitive status. But Ido have and I do have some sort
of notion that he's going to beon some kind of stimulant, whether it's
just a cup of coffee or somethingelse a doctor might prescribe for this this

(35:42):
press conference tonight. Without it,I don't think he'll represent well. All
right, we're down to one minute. I wanted to get to a couple
more of these over here. I'lllet you chew. No, I won't
dumb and dumber this this one justamazed me. Couple in George, you
got arrested for public indecency after theguy I thank a margarita out of the
woman's kind of nether region, alittle never mind, in the middle of

(36:07):
a family restaurant. And they onlygot caught because she went to the police
to claim that someone posted video ofwhat she had done online. And by
the way, the previous story thewriter said, the complaint was that somebody
posted the footage of the incident. The Internet doesn't post footage or tape?

(36:31):
Are those are Smithsonian terms? Now? It posts video. If you call
it footage your tape, you don'tlook so good. We all look good
for our age. Right. We'llbe back tomorrow to wrap up the week,
hopefully with everybody powered up. Audios
