not on this show.

Speaker 5 (02:04):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (02:05):
He tends to haunt us.

Speaker 1 (02:09):
Yeah I do. I'm good at that.

Speaker 5 (02:12):
Week.

Speaker 1 (02:14):
Yah.

Speaker 4 (02:16):
Yeah, we're gonna we're going to be doing enough haunting
this week. Microphone is screw here, Come on, give me that,
give me that. Yeah, this is live radio for live television. Folks.

(02:37):
Welcome to a live podcast, video podcast. Yeah, yes, you
realize I've been doing this for over three years. We've
been doing video podcasts over here, almost four years. I
was looking back at the some of the I've what

(02:59):
I do when I take an I do with these shows,
or we do these shows here on the Crooked River
Radio Network. I record them. I have a records right
off the source, and I got looking back through the
archives as I was backing it all up to this

(03:26):
discribe that I've got especially for this for backing it up,
and I was finding stuff from twenty twenty one, four
years ago. Yay, hard to believe we've been on the
radio network here since two thousand, I think it was nineteen. Well,

(03:49):
so we've been at this over five years now, isn't
it incredible? Yeah, and we haven't made a damn dime.
I've made fifteen dollars and a whole seriously.

Speaker 6 (04:04):
Yeah, we're gonna talk about how we can take this
to the next level.

Speaker 4 (04:09):
Yeah, we need to do that.

Speaker 5 (04:12):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, guys.

Speaker 4 (04:16):
Tell your friends.

Speaker 1 (04:18):
Yeah, I mean I think we should.

Speaker 7 (04:21):
I know you and I have talked about this off
the air, but I think you have a Roku channel, right,
you should put the shows pre recorded, like here's a
background so people don't see you know what's in your background,
But put the shows on Roku. That's what the other

(04:44):
station that I'm gonna do.

Speaker 4 (04:46):
You had a couple of places tell me that they
could monetize that way, even from where it's at. They've
been watching us here and there. Okay, but I've had
a couple of things, but it costs money. I ain't
got that kind of money.

Speaker 5 (05:03):
I guess when you're running.

Speaker 4 (05:07):
When you've made fifteen dollars and six years.

Speaker 1 (05:12):
Yeah, no, yeah, I totally get that one.

Speaker 6 (05:14):
Yeah, looking to it though, it's something to definitely looking
to I mean, it does take money to make money,
so it does.

Speaker 4 (05:23):
We will. Yeah, that's that's something for the future.

Speaker 5 (05:27):
Yeah, we will talk about that.

Speaker 4 (05:30):
Yeah, anyway, something else I was going to say, No,
I don't remember what the heck it was. Hi, Flora.
Flora's walking across the room here, no high or nothing,
just grunning. She's like, okay, oh she's thinking, no wonder

(05:53):
there's a trail of smoke behind her. Oh, my life
in tomorrow family, mm hmmm, hello, Hello, anyway, what about them?
What about them? Well, we'll talk about them, uh, Browns

(06:17):
in a couple of minutes. How about them cowboys? What's
going on down there?

Speaker 5 (06:22):
Uh? We didn't lose this past Sunday.

Speaker 4 (06:24):
We did.

Speaker 5 (06:27):
Yeah, well we didn't play his last his past Sunday.

Speaker 7 (06:32):
Oh you couldn't be beat then, yeah, unless you yeah,
unless you beat yourself, and then that would be a problem.

Speaker 4 (06:43):
Eric, Eric, Eric, I'm going to have to talk to
I'm gonna have to talk to you, Eric, mind me too,
h I mean, as you can help probably tell. I'm
in a pretty good mood this morning, even though all
the sports news and everything else is kind of m

(07:06):
would make one grumbly I'm still looking. We got Ohio
State on this week. Anyway, let's go back to the
Let's go back to Cowboys. What's going on down there?
Any news?

Speaker 5 (07:19):
Uh? Not really? Well, the biggest news was the national news.
Whenever Jerry jumped on.

Speaker 6 (07:25):
The radio ship station down here, local station here.

Speaker 5 (07:31):
The Cowboys flagship station.

Speaker 6 (07:34):
Uh tell them that what does he telling every you
bust don't want you to job? I'm meant I should
have sent that to you so we could play that
bit on the air, because.

Speaker 5 (07:44):
That was the major talk.

Speaker 6 (07:46):
I mean, Cowboys, you know, they got there, We got
our butts wooked. Just just just spank, just just just
beat man.

Speaker 5 (07:57):
And but you had to steal. We were the talk
of sports news.

Speaker 6 (08:02):
You know, so in that Jerry being the marketing genius
that he is, we were still the most talked about,
uh franchised in all football.

Speaker 5 (08:18):
Oh. He told the guy that he must didn't want
a job because the guy.

Speaker 6 (08:22):
Was asking him some tough questions, some tough questions, basically
asked him, you know about not really addressing the problem
from last year not really being addressed, and Jerry took
offense to it, and it was almost, how dare you

(08:43):
ask me that you know you must don't want you know,
basically letting him know, Hey, what do you tell you
that you know you must not want your job? Something
to that effect. I mean, you don't want your job.
And h and so the the the.

Speaker 5 (09:02):
Big sports folks of the world, the Steven A.

Speaker 6 (09:04):
Smith and and uh huh that those folks they they
hate write to you with the Coles.

Speaker 5 (09:11):
On that one.

Speaker 6 (09:13):
But you know, and it was to Jerry, I guess
it was more like freely fire, how are you going
to ask me these questions? You know, I'm not going
to answer these questions already with you. You know, I
make tough decisions all the time. But anyway, it was
it was Jerry being a bully.

Speaker 4 (09:32):
M h Well, what do you expect from mister Jones? Yeah, yeah,
that's I'm not surprised to hearing something like that.

Speaker 7 (09:45):
I mean, hopefully he's not, you know, in the pockets
of one O five three too much where he uh
can dictate if they ask him tough questions, if or
speak negatively about his team, that he could get those

(10:07):
hosts fired, because some in sometimes it's like that, where
the owner of the sports teams.

Speaker 1 (10:14):
Are, you know, so in the pocket of the.

Speaker 7 (10:20):
UH sports team will have so much control over their
flagship that you know, if somebody says something they don't like,
that person gets fired.

Speaker 4 (10:36):
Are you saying, Eric, that there is drama in sports?

Speaker 7 (10:43):
Oh my god, Well more in the drama, drama within
the industry, more than.

Speaker 1 (11:00):
The actual on the field.

Speaker 4 (11:01):
I'm going to give you drama, Sean.

Speaker 8 (11:08):
Anyway, Yeah, there like the radio station.

Speaker 4 (11:15):
Well, let's let's talk about some Cleveland drama. Okay, are
you guys ready for this? There's there's been quite a
bit of news up here. This team basically in the
last game got blown apart virtually. It was like somebody

(11:38):
threw a bomb in it. You've got a quarterback that
went down with a knee injury or aches, he blew
his achilles tendon. I yea, yeah, that's a bad part

(12:01):
of it. I had. I've got a physical therapist that
her and I were talking about it. I figured since
I tried to get some inside information, so I got
talking to her. I said, and she I know, she's
a she's a Steelers fan and her hut. But her

(12:25):
husband is a Browns fan. But he don't watch the
games because he don't like him losing and what she
was telling me. She says, you know, she says, we heard.
We didn't watch the game, she said, we're it, went
out shopping and some other stuff, and she says when
we come back home, she says, a we heard on

(12:49):
the way home that Deshaun got hurt. And she says,
so we went back on the recording to see it.
And she says, you know, the way that he was
he planted his foot and there was a twist and

(13:10):
she says, I saw the thing pop. She says, it
was gross. She says he went down and she says,
you could hear the background of the crowd and everything
chanting you deserve it. Now let me I'm gonna tell

(13:32):
you right now. I've been I have been appalled at
times by some of the by the way some of
this team operates. But to cheer somebody and to cheer
somebody that's got hurt, to cheer somebody and say you

(13:55):
deserve it was pathetic. Absolutely yeah, I mean it was.

Speaker 9 (14:05):
It was.

Speaker 4 (14:05):
It was ten times worse than the injury could have been.
And imagine you being a player on that team. You
do your your your your team's crap. You know it's crap.
You're just there to try to survive the game. And
then you could your teammate goes down and somebody starts

(14:29):
chatting you deserve it, you just and you could hear
it echoing across the damn stadium. It was that bad.
I mean, come on, people, you know it's a rigged game.
You're gonna do that? I mean, wow, just wow. Cleveland

(14:51):
has always Cleveland's been one that always is a record
breaker when it comes to crap like this. I mean,
you had Bottlegate back and in the seventies there was.

Speaker 1 (15:05):
Biogame was two thousand and one.

Speaker 4 (15:07):
Yeah, okay, two thousand and one there was that incident
with the reps and cussing. The player went up and
because he got he got water thrown on him. Haslm
got water thrown on him, and you, yeah, we set

(15:29):
records for crap like this and then expect us to
have a good team. Now, I won't be the first
to admit at this point that we don't deserve what's here.
We don't deserve what's been playing this last for this
last part, the last six games. And I'm beginning to

(15:50):
think two things. Number One, Haslam has been so damn
busy trying to get this stadium put together, that he
hasn't time time to concentrate on the team.

Speaker 5 (16:02):
M M.

Speaker 4 (16:03):
I'm wondering if that's part of it. The other thing
is that he wants his team over in brook Park.
They're fighting him tooth and nail about it, and it's
about time he wakes up. I bet I know he's
hearing the fans. Now, you don't. You don't not hear

(16:26):
your fans after six games like that. So what they've done,
and I know Eric you probably heard this too. We
made some major changes over the in the coaching of
the team. Over the last week, we went from having
a coach, a head coach calling plays to actually letting

(16:49):
the coordinator do it. He the coordinator is going to
be calling the plays in the next game. This could
be one of these. You know, it could be good.
It could not be so good. You've also made some
You've made a change of quarterback to somebody that is

(17:13):
already having issues with the Browns. They don't the quarterback
doesn't seem to want to listen to what's coming on
to the field, and he's calling his own plays in
a huddle. And I have heard that this jamis Winston
supposed to be pretty good. We're going to see Sunday

(17:37):
if he makes it clear through the game.

Speaker 7 (17:40):
Because you mentioned about the stadium, I just sent you
something I don't know if we can play.

Speaker 1 (17:49):
I bet you'd be able to just pull it up and.

Speaker 7 (17:54):
You wouldn't have to like upload it or anything, because
it's from.

Speaker 1 (17:59):
A little bit of a segment from one of the
local radio stations.

Speaker 7 (18:03):
But I according to the fair use, I think as
long as we react to it, it's talking about how
Cleveland doesn't as much as they're trying to save face
and fight for the Browns, they don't really want the
Browns in Cleveland.

Speaker 1 (18:20):
The city doesn't really want the team in Cleveland.

Speaker 7 (18:23):
And it's from our one of our favorite UH guests,
Ken Carmen, in his show, why.

Speaker 4 (18:30):
Don't We Uh. I'm gonna have to I can't just
outright play that without hearing it. Okay, we'll save that
for next week. This is going to be an ongoing
discussion anyway.

Speaker 1 (18:44):
Or even for Monday when we have nanosecond.

Speaker 4 (18:49):
But I think that, you know, if it's good, we'll
use it next week too, Okay, But I just you know,
I especially bit with it coming from that Uh that
other place. I want to make sure that we're all
the rules are followed, and I can't do that without
listening to it.

Speaker 1 (19:10):
Mm hmm.

Speaker 4 (19:11):
Anyway, anyway, the fact that, the fact that they're not
doing very well, and I think now that we're six
games in and U and one in five, I think

(19:34):
it's time to crapp or get off the pot, to
be honest about it.

Speaker 10 (19:37):
You are, right, Eric, Yeah, I'm good, But uh, what
do you guys think down there?

Speaker 5 (19:47):
One in five?

Speaker 6 (19:48):
I think at this point there's always change, you know,
and this year is going to be a wash man,
It really is, and for so many reasons.

Speaker 5 (20:01):
You know, the.

Speaker 6 (20:06):
Offensive line, you guys, you know, the best offensive player
has been hurt.

Speaker 5 (20:15):
You know.

Speaker 4 (20:16):
Now, I hate to contradict you here a little bit, Gordon,
but let me let me tell you what happened last year.
Last year, we were getting into the doldrums like that,
and Haslam got off his wallet and started spending money
and they ended up not doing too bad. I'm hoping

(20:39):
against hope that that's what happens this year, but it
still remains to be seen.

Speaker 5 (20:48):
Man.

Speaker 6 (20:49):
You know, I'm looking at these other teams out there,
and then i don't know what would be available, you.

Speaker 4 (20:54):
Know, but also there was last year there was a
quarterback sitting on the couch ends up coming in here
and kicking ass until the last game when he beat us.

Speaker 7 (21:08):
But Gordon mentioned the offensive line and uh, just a
little note, Brown's activated Wyatt Teller off the injured reserve, so.

Speaker 4 (21:22):
He'll be in for about ten police.

Speaker 6 (21:25):
Yeah, so you know, okay, so now there's a little
bit better is uh do you guys have.

Speaker 5 (21:35):
It's Chubb back?

Speaker 4 (21:36):
Yeah, yeah, And he came back last week. Didn't do
too bad.

Speaker 6 (21:42):
Right, Okay, you know he played the first half though,
and you know, so if he's fully back and and
maybe it gets a little better. But you gotta look
at the schedule going forward and who you have left.

Speaker 5 (21:57):
That's the other thing. Look at who you have left,
you know, there's those are the other things that you
have to look.

Speaker 6 (22:06):
At in that And you know, I I don't see.

Speaker 5 (22:14):
Not the paint of doom and glowing, but I just
don't see a a big uptick. Maybe small one, but
but not a big one.

Speaker 7 (22:24):
I agree. I just hope that. I mean, there's talk
that they could trade Miles Garrett and I'm like they've
been or not, like that would be the dumbest move
they've ever made.

Speaker 5 (22:37):
And I've heard talk about that.

Speaker 6 (22:38):
It's like, look, at this point, you know, we can
see what we can get for him, you know, I mean,
you know, maybe we can get some some added pieces.
And the thing of it is is at this point,
Miles Garrett probably wants to go m I think, to
be out of there.

Speaker 4 (22:58):
And you actually said that he'd like to stay in
stay here in Cleveland for his career. I've heard that
in the last couple of weeks.

Speaker 6 (23:07):
And and that's good man, that's good. But and it
is you know, from a business standpoint, is that a
good decision?

Speaker 5 (23:15):
I don't know what have you done for me lately? Though?

Speaker 6 (23:20):
And in that well, it's a lot easier to focus
on Miles Garrett when he's the only one.

Speaker 5 (23:24):
You got to focus on.

Speaker 6 (23:27):
Yeah, that's the other thing that from a fans standpoint,
people don't look at. One of the things about being
that type of player is is you as.

Speaker 5 (23:38):
Is rusher or what have you?

Speaker 6 (23:40):
You know, you command so much attention that that somebody
on the other side, someone else should step up because you're.

Speaker 5 (23:47):
Getting you're getting double team.

Speaker 6 (23:49):
Then they're there then they're they're they're chipping you, and
you know on your way to the quarterback you see
in three bodies.

Speaker 5 (23:55):
Every every time. M hm, you know they're there.

Speaker 6 (24:00):
There's three guys coming at you every time, at least
if you look at film, that's what you'll see a
lot of times. But then after a while you know
you're getting beat like a drums like why put forth
the effort?

Speaker 7 (24:15):
I think one of the biggest issues and Pat won't
be surprised by this. I think with Haslam being away
from the team doing the negotiations for brook Park, I
think one of the biggest things is a certain person

(24:35):
is probably getting more safe and I think that certain person,
which I'll mentioned the name in a minute is has
a lot more say and that would be Paul D. Potesta,
the chief strategy off.

Speaker 4 (24:54):
Still running that team.

Speaker 5 (24:55):
Eric Yeah.

Speaker 4 (24:58):
For a long time.

Speaker 7 (25:00):
Yeah, but he trusts uh what's his play deep Podesta
to run the team.

Speaker 11 (25:08):
You're gonna true, Well, she The thing is, she's a
big part of the negotiations too with uh the stadium.

Speaker 7 (25:25):
So while it's technically their son in law, which is
the third in charge, but I think he trusts Jimmy
has them trusts Paul de Podesta enough to kind of
be the pseudo owner that's not paying anything because deep

(25:45):
Podesta has all of a sudden been around a lot
more this year, where usually he's out in California doing
the job remotely, but he's been around a lot more
this year.

Speaker 1 (25:59):
So O huh coincidence? I think not.

Speaker 4 (26:06):
I no such thing as a coincidence exactly. You can
ask just you can ask j Jeth Brow Gibbs that one.
H just like that. Another coincidence here, and I think
I've brought this up one other time, a major coincidence.

(26:31):
You taken Jameis Winston pisses off the Browns, he gets
demoted to third string, They bring dtr up, promote him
to from third string to second. Then all of a
sudden your quarterback disappears, he gets he gets hurt. Coincidence

(26:58):
Hm to be without there might be something coming.

Speaker 1 (27:03):
Mm hmm.

Speaker 5 (27:04):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (27:09):
What do you think, Gordon? Is Is it a coincidence?
There ain't no such thing as a coincidence. No, but
it sure looks fishy.

Speaker 6 (27:22):
I can't go into that conspiracy period.

Speaker 4 (27:26):
That's that sure looks fishy to me. And you know
I'm one for conspiracy.

Speaker 1 (27:39):
Yeah, I just.

Speaker 5 (27:42):
With the Browns, you know, doing what they're doing. And
if if.

Speaker 6 (27:48):
If Miles Garrett is suddenly they're trading him off, it
nothing surprised me.

Speaker 4 (27:55):
I don't think if if Garrett's going to get traded
or anything, it's not going to be during this season.
I don't see that happen. And I think we may
we may start using diminishing skills, things in the clauses
in the contract contracts, and that may that may affect

(28:19):
some of it. How much longer is he years? He's
should be it about the end of his contract, didn't
he No, They've.

Speaker 7 (28:28):
Sended him a couple of years back, so he has
two or three years left.

Speaker 4 (28:34):
Well, let's hope he's here for that line. I like Miles.
That's probably one of the better, better people on the team.
I don't care if he's getting beat up or whatever.

Speaker 6 (28:44):
But you know, with that again, you know, after the
fans response and you know, and climate wise and all that,
you know, Cleveland like the best for a football player.
You know, that's not the place that most guys want

(29:09):
to go. No, I don't know, and then seeing what happened, you.

Speaker 4 (29:15):
Know Sunday, I don't know why they wouldn't want to
come to Cleveland. I don't see why anybody want to
go to Dallas.

Speaker 6 (29:26):
You know, hey, man, you know Cleveland being you know,
in the country, you know, being man, that's a great
vacation spot.

Speaker 5 (29:32):
You know. I'm sure a lot of people say, you
know what, let's go to Cleveland.

Speaker 4 (29:38):
Well why not? I could understand that.

Speaker 1 (29:45):
Little college football news.

Speaker 7 (29:48):
Will Johnson, the top corner from the University of Michigan,
is not expected to play today.

Speaker 1 (29:55):
I just thought I would throw that in.

Speaker 4 (29:57):
Who is it?

Speaker 5 (29:58):
What's his name?

Speaker 8 (29:59):
Josh Then's the left tackle for the buck is out
for the season.

Speaker 1 (30:04):
Oh yeah, I saw that.

Speaker 9 (30:06):
Who's today in Ohio State Nebraska?

Speaker 4 (30:12):
Oh that's right, I saw that.

Speaker 6 (30:15):
Speaking of you know, quarterbacks and everything, I gotta go
back to former UH Brown's quarterback Baker.

Speaker 5 (30:26):
One to want to pass favorite him and man, which
snake was here?

Speaker 6 (30:31):
But the game the other night and then uh, oh god,
what's his name?

Speaker 5 (30:37):
Goes down? Right there? To this game goes down? I'm like,
oh my gosh. You know, it's like, man, you know,
they were doing pretty well. Now, granted they had a
pretty tough schedule.

Speaker 8 (30:52):
But I think they've they're done for Man because Godwin
and Evans went out.

Speaker 4 (30:57):
Yeah, has both out for the season.

Speaker 8 (31:02):
No, but god is because he just looked at at
his ankle there.

Speaker 5 (31:10):
Yeah that was nasty looking. Yeah, that was We'll see
about Evans, but it was.

Speaker 6 (31:18):
A pool hamstring, probably nag him the rest.

Speaker 4 (31:23):
Of the year, and that could be a five or
six weekend or injury.

Speaker 5 (31:27):
The and hey, you know I was at this point.

Speaker 6 (31:32):
You know I had originally beginning season, I had Dallas.

Speaker 5 (31:36):
I'm like, Okay, that's going to be a win for him,
and then it was like no, no, maybe not. Then
I'm looking at it again. It may maybe. So at
this point, you know, of course we we are and
not to be.

Speaker 6 (31:55):
Switching gears, but were forty nine or Son and we
are the underdogs. And let's look at forty nine ers. Yeah,
the beat McCaffrey, No, Dego, Sammules and iyuk.

Speaker 4 (32:15):
The Forts are beat up.

Speaker 5 (32:18):
Yeah, but they still think they can beat cowboys.

Speaker 6 (32:21):
Cowboys are they say cowboys are soft and the forty
nine ers, you know.

Speaker 5 (32:28):
They may just.

Speaker 6 (32:31):
Tackle Da out of bounds or something and get a
flag just just just to send a message.

Speaker 5 (32:36):
To them, you know, they they that's the type of.

Speaker 6 (32:41):
Ah, that's the battle that they have with with Dallas.

Speaker 5 (32:48):
And they always say with Dallas is soft.

Speaker 6 (32:50):
First off, So what was that last year? It was
Tony Pollard. They just body slams him my bounds and
you know, none of his teammates had come to his
defense or anything.

Speaker 5 (33:02):
It's like and Greenlaw, see I knew it, he said,
they saw it wasn't going to do anything. And I'm
like wow. You know, he gets a fifteen yard penalty and.

Speaker 6 (33:15):
It's like like, yeah, I do it again, you know,
just to send that message, let him know we're here,
we're gonna bully them.

Speaker 4 (33:24):
Yeah. Well, that's the way football goes pretty much any sports.
If you watch some of even the NBA playoffs in
the past, the ones that are winning were the ones
that are bullies.

Speaker 5 (33:40):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (33:41):
I remember when Boston was doing that the Calves had,
especially the first couple of years that Lebron or that
the Calves had Lebron. I remember that one playoff game,
a series of playoff games there that Lebron got the
crap beat out of because he was new and he

(34:02):
was Boston. It was doing it. That's beating it up
like that did Eric. Eric is still there.

Speaker 10 (34:18):
Eric did he did he poop on us?

Speaker 5 (34:26):
He les the city there there he has left the city.

Speaker 4 (34:37):
Eric has left the building, and it's sit there and
talk about him now. Uh. Anyway, the other things that
I have a I've been following more of the Brown

(35:00):
this week than I haven't probably five or six weeks.
And then the stuff. There's a lot of news with
them going on up here. Cincinnati got their first win
because of us, and I didn't think that game was

(35:23):
you know, with all the getting beat up like that.
I can't wait to see Baltimore. Well, how are you nice?
Nice to you to visit us again? You're muted?

Speaker 1 (35:43):
Yeah, I know. I was trying. I was trying to figure.

Speaker 7 (35:47):
Out who was at my front door, and h also
shut my mic off so you couldn't hear my dog
barking in the background and trying to wave the person
away from the front door because I didn't want to
talk to them.

Speaker 4 (36:02):
So I would believe I would have just let him knock.

Speaker 7 (36:08):
Well, they saw me on the doorball cam.

Speaker 4 (36:13):
Oh, I wouldn't let myself be seen on a doorbell cam.

Speaker 5 (36:19):
Well.

Speaker 7 (36:19):
The problem is I have a Alexa device that has
a camera literally right in front of where I'm at,
and so it pops up the cam.

Speaker 4 (36:31):
Oh anyway, I would turn that off. I got a
doorbell cam, but it's only one way. I can talk
out there, but they can't see me. You know, I'd
rather have it that way and I can listen out
there anyway. What what else are we going to cover

(36:54):
tonight or today before we go on the pics?

Speaker 12 (36:59):
I got one little thing that we can probably talk about,
maybe's players safety outside of outside of the games.

Speaker 5 (37:08):
I see that this one kid I was shot in
the head I think recently. And Reynolds I love.

Speaker 8 (37:19):
Josh Reynolds at in Denver, shot recently a week ago.

Speaker 1 (37:29):
Oh yeah, yeah.

Speaker 5 (37:31):
I mean he was just not the only one that
was recently shot.

Speaker 8 (37:35):
You know, before the season started that getting Ricky piersoll
for for forty nine ers was shot just over fighting
over some jewelry.

Speaker 4 (37:46):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (37:47):
Yeah, the dude tried to rob him.

Speaker 5 (37:49):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (37:50):
Like, well, you know, you got to take a wonder
if if you tell if you should create your own
secret service Yeah around some of these guys. Of course, not.

Speaker 5 (38:06):
Again, because you never know though being a.

Speaker 4 (38:11):
Twenty four, twenty five, twenty six year old kid and
doing what some of these these guys do, it's not
why do they get robbed in that?

Speaker 5 (38:24):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, thanks.

Speaker 6 (38:26):
You make yourself mark you the type of jewel you wear,
and some of the places you frequent you know you.

Speaker 4 (38:33):
And that's mindful, and that's that's a very good point, Gordon. Yeah.
You the the places you frequent are they can be
a big part of the reason you're getting robbed. Yeah,
if you're going to the ghetto or if you're living

(38:55):
in the ghetto or downtown downtown Cleveland is not the
safest place in the world either. And I would have
Detroit there would be another one, and where some of
these sports teams are. I could see why what happened

(39:16):
like that.

Speaker 1 (39:18):
Chicago another great example.

Speaker 4 (39:20):
Yeah, Chicago's another one.

Speaker 1 (39:22):
The murder capital. I'm pretty sure they are the murder
capital of America.

Speaker 5 (39:26):
Now.

Speaker 4 (39:26):
If you go out to Green Bay or something like that,
that's another story. Even even out to San Francisco, you know,
forty nine or town.

Speaker 1 (39:36):
Mm hmm.

Speaker 4 (39:38):
It seems like it.

Speaker 5 (39:40):
Doesn't.

Speaker 4 (39:41):
It seem like it's toughly quiet news wise from these
other from the other teams. Yeah, the only one you're
hearing about the Browns and the Cowboys and Baker Mayfield.
But I'm sorry people, Baker will always be you Baker.

Speaker 1 (40:01):
Yeah, agreed, all right?

Speaker 5 (40:07):
Now what no, uh when I get to the picks.

Speaker 4 (40:10):
No, uh, no argument, Gordon, Hey, man, are you confusing
me here?

Speaker 6 (40:16):
I just I'm saying, Man, he's.

Speaker 4 (40:20):
Been decent, well decent. Yeah, but he's still Baker. Put
him in a patch. He'll get his ass clabbard.

Speaker 5 (40:29):
But the low way. Yeah, he's up.

Speaker 7 (40:34):
But he needed to get cut. Not from the Browns perspective.
I think he needed to get cut for his own good.

Speaker 1 (40:46):
Like maturity wise, he.

Speaker 4 (40:48):
Would have never matured in Cleveland, let's face it.

Speaker 1 (40:52):
Mm hmmm.

Speaker 5 (40:53):
Well.

Speaker 6 (40:54):
The one thing about it is, you know, the fans
you have there have something your.

Speaker 5 (41:01):
Uh you know, I can I can just imagine.

Speaker 6 (41:06):
I know again, if I'm an NFL player, man, that
wouldn't be on on my list is a list of
teams to go play for.

Speaker 4 (41:15):
I don't see why not. We're on our way to
Super Bowl every year until the third game in.

Speaker 5 (41:24):
H Yeah, so are the Cowboys.

Speaker 1 (41:30):
The NBA season started.

Speaker 6 (41:33):
Yes, yes, and and that is a pretty of something
to look forward to now.

Speaker 4 (41:39):
Cansling too.

Speaker 6 (41:39):
And oh.

Speaker 7 (41:41):
And for some reason, stupidly not broadcast locally here tonight.
The only TV channel that's uh broadcasting them is uh
why am I forgetting I forgot the name of it
now but the Washington.

Speaker 1 (42:01):
Channel mm hmm, Uh, I.

Speaker 4 (42:05):
Wonder why they're not being are they? Is anybody covering them?
Radio wized?

Speaker 1 (42:10):
Yeah, it's gonna be the flagship locally.

Speaker 4 (42:16):
We need they need a flagship here like supports time,
Ohisle used to be or whatever.

Speaker 7 (42:25):
Well right now, Uh, I don't know if you saw,
but Balles or Diamond Sports drop Bally's as their brand
and now it's a Fandel network.

Speaker 4 (42:42):
Oh, good old Fandel.

Speaker 1 (42:44):
So that should be interest.

Speaker 8 (42:46):
The Mavericks are getting covered by the local TV station
on anothers.

Speaker 5 (42:53):
All all their games.

Speaker 4 (42:55):
I think I'm surprised that the MAVs are doing or
doing anything with Cuban being like he's been being as
vocal politically motivated as he is, he's.

Speaker 8 (43:10):
Been pretty quiet since he's a little you know, he's
so majority ownership.

Speaker 4 (43:16):
So and so I do you know that?

Speaker 5 (43:20):
Yeah, he saw the casino operator.

Speaker 4 (43:23):
I I like, I like that guy. He's he's a
good businessman, he's a hell of a uh an investor.

Speaker 8 (43:35):
He's sold in the majority but he still has a minor.

Speaker 6 (43:39):
Yeah, you know, and and Cuban, Hey so is so
is Jerry Jones.

Speaker 5 (43:44):
He's a really good making money. You know, Cowboys are
still usually one or two.

Speaker 6 (43:50):
As far as uh uh generating sports revenue, sports revenue,
what their worth, the network and everything.

Speaker 5 (44:01):
Because of Jerry Jones, you know. Now, he just not
the best GM.

Speaker 4 (44:09):
Yeah, I can understand that. I know another GM that
isn't isn't one of the best ones. But we won't
go there anyway. Let's let's go into the picks. How
how did we do last time we met? A Look

(44:30):
at this grim Look at this grin.

Speaker 5 (44:33):
Mhm, man, he's.

Speaker 4 (44:37):
I'm kicking ass and taking names.

Speaker 5 (44:40):
I'm so y'all got so used to to win. Is
either myself a Sean that now him and they? Man,
it's so scary.

Speaker 4 (44:51):
We're kicking ass and taking names.

Speaker 5 (44:54):
Yeah, okay, I just said.

Speaker 4 (45:04):
Let's go ahead and do the.

Speaker 5 (45:07):
The the pics. But it's like, what the hell happened
the Jeopardy sound?

Speaker 4 (45:14):
Yeah, and I almost forgot about that. Hang on, we
can get it. We can get it.

Speaker 8 (45:23):
A little too slow there, Sorry, all right? First game
Philly had Cincinnati.

Speaker 4 (45:36):
Philly, Philly yeah, Cincinnati. Look, Cincinnati, Cincinnati had it easy
last week and they you can tell they really just
ain't got it together.

Speaker 5 (45:57):
It is Philly, Okay. The next game Baltimore and Cleveland, Baltimore.

Speaker 6 (46:07):
It's a tough one, and everybody's going Baltimore.

Speaker 4 (46:13):
Yeah, they're gonna they're gonna clean house here.

Speaker 7 (46:18):
Oh yeah, I'm lucky. I won't get to watch the game.

Speaker 4 (46:22):
So oh my god, Detroit, My god. Detroit, Tennessee at
Detroit Detroit. Yeah, yeah, I'm gonna have to agree with you,
all right.

Speaker 5 (46:40):
The next game Arizona Miami, Miami, Miami. Here yea.

Speaker 4 (46:50):
Arizona. Yeah, mm hmm, yeah, I'll take I'll take Miami.

Speaker 8 (47:03):
Okay, Jets at New England, Jets.

Speaker 4 (47:14):
I'll reservedly take the Jets. I don't at New England.
You said it was at New England. Yeah, that's gonna
that's gonna be a good game. Yeah, but Aaron ain't
doing crap for them.

Speaker 12 (47:32):
They showed a graphic that was kind of funny. Is
last year, Zach Wilson was four and three at this time,
and he said he was the problem, and then what
what's this year's record for the Jets?

Speaker 5 (47:45):
Two and five?

Speaker 4 (47:46):
With Aaron the thing, what the thing? You can't win it?
And this is what I've seen with the Jets. They're
whoever's doing their play calling probably just playing out sucks
because you can't win a game with field goals. And
when you get five or six field goal tries in

(48:08):
a in a game, that that means to me, you
got trouble in the red zone. You you got trouble
getting down there. And that I'm kind of wondering. You know.
I like Aaron Rodgers, don't, don't get me wrong, but

(48:28):
he's washed. I just I just think he's he's another
Dishaun Watson. He's he's kind of you know, he's past
his prime.

Speaker 7 (48:40):
He's washed up because the one calling plays is his
buddy from Green Bay, Nathaniel Hackett.

Speaker 4 (48:49):
Yeah, you got to take that into account too. I'm
gonna take I'm I'm gonna bust the I'm gonna I'm
gonna bust the uh the group I'm gonna take. I'm
going to take New England.

Speaker 7 (49:06):
Them in their rookie quarterback. He didn't play too bad
last year. A week, I mean last week.

Speaker 4 (49:17):
They would have they would have Where did that? Matt Uh?
What's his name go who that guy that was quarterbacking
for them last year, matt.

Speaker 1 (49:30):
Oh mac oh mac Jones.

Speaker 4 (49:33):
Where did he end up?

Speaker 5 (49:35):
He's a backup at Jacksonville.

Speaker 4 (49:40):
Well that says a lot about him.

Speaker 8 (49:43):
Yeah, okay, all right, the next game Atlanta at Tampa Bay.

Speaker 4 (49:49):
Hot Atlanta, Yeah, Hot Atlanta at Baker.

Speaker 7 (49:55):
Oh, Unfortunately, I'm going to pick Baker.

Speaker 6 (50:03):
Mm hmmm.

Speaker 1 (50:05):
I hate the idea of picking Baker, but.

Speaker 5 (50:12):
The injuries to that'steries wi. Otherwise, I'm taking Bay.

Speaker 4 (50:20):
I think I'm I'm gonna take Hotlanta, Okay, I.

Speaker 8 (50:26):
Mean next game, Green Bay at Jacksonville. This would be
a very good game.

Speaker 4 (50:33):
Yeah, but I don't think Jacksonville's got it together enough.

Speaker 6 (50:37):
Jackson Villa at uh green Bay, jackson I'm taking Green
Bay on that one.

Speaker 4 (50:43):
Yeah, I think I think I'm I agree with you, Gordon.
I think I don't think Jacksonville's with with Tree Lance
whatever else quarterback.

Speaker 1 (50:58):
Trevor Lawrence.

Speaker 4 (50:58):
Trevor Lawrence with him quarterback, and I don't know.

Speaker 5 (51:04):
Yeah, you know, kind of he reminds me of the
day ten Cows. Really, you know, he was that first
first pick, you know.

Speaker 4 (51:19):
Well, you know, but stuff like that, Some of these
guys when they came out of college work absolutely wonderful.
I mean, look at what we've we look at what
the Browns have put down the road, Jet and and uh,
places like Chicago has put down the road. A lot

(51:39):
of the stuff comes from comes to coaching, and if
you ain't got a coach for that quarterback, you ain't
gonna do it.

Speaker 5 (51:49):
You.

Speaker 4 (51:50):
These coaches have got to get their their hands on
these players and get the mindset right, and some of
them just don't do it.

Speaker 5 (52:00):
The next game is Indianapolis at Houston.

Speaker 9 (52:04):
Oh wow, well you got Yeah, you.

Speaker 4 (52:09):
Got Houston with what's his name, c J.

Speaker 7 (52:12):
But are they The question is what's their record right now?
I thought they were having them rough?

Speaker 5 (52:20):
Yeah? Pretty good this year. Houston is I think one
of the better teams in the NFL.

Speaker 1 (52:28):
Five and two. Okay, I would say.

Speaker 4 (52:32):
I think that Houston's a good bed.

Speaker 8 (52:38):
Sam Okay, everybody taking Houston there, all right?

Speaker 5 (52:47):
And there's game in New Orleans at the Chargers. I'm
taking Chargement Orleans.

Speaker 6 (52:53):
Think that they beat the Cowboys and they've mistaken.

Speaker 5 (52:58):
Mm hmmm, I'm going to Chargers.

Speaker 4 (53:01):
Yeah. I think I think the Chargers a good bet.

Speaker 1 (53:05):
Yeah, I agree.

Speaker 5 (53:12):
Okay. The next game Buffalo is Seattle. That should be
a really good game, should be, it should be. I
don't take Buffalo though, Oh the.

Speaker 4 (53:23):
East Coast West Coast, good God, I Seattle. I think
I'm gonna have to play the East Coast West Coast.
I like Buffalo, don't get me wrong, but the most
of the times these West Coast teams will win. Win

(53:43):
a matchup like that, I'll tell you I'll take Seattle.

Speaker 5 (53:49):
Hey, what about you here?

Speaker 1 (53:53):
Uh Buffalo?

Speaker 5 (54:00):
Mm hmm. The next game Carolina Denver, Carolina.

Speaker 4 (54:09):
I'll take Denver. I'll take Denver on that one. I
don't think Carolina is doing it well, and I think
Denver is full of surprises this year.

Speaker 5 (54:22):
Right, Next game k C a Vegas.

Speaker 4 (54:27):
Case in that one? Easy?

Speaker 5 (54:35):
Ok see? Oh yeah, almost definitely all right? Next game
Chicago and Washington Washington? Mm hmmm, yes, Washington.

Speaker 4 (54:58):
Do you think gardens?

Speaker 5 (54:59):
These games doing pretty good though? This year? I'm taking them. Well.

Speaker 1 (55:07):
Is Jaydeen Daniels playing this week?

Speaker 5 (55:09):
Is he back?

Speaker 1 (55:10):
Does anybody else?

Speaker 4 (55:13):
I think I'll take Washington. I don't like.

Speaker 7 (55:16):
Chicago because I I think if it's Daniels against uh,
the kid front Williams from uh.

Speaker 1 (55:29):
Chicago. I think Daniels is better.

Speaker 5 (55:33):
Mm hmmm.

Speaker 4 (55:50):
H h oh man, Okay, I'm watching. I'm sitting and
watching the Ohio State Nebraska game. That Ohio State defense
is just murderer Nebraska.

Speaker 1 (56:10):
Mm hmmm.

Speaker 5 (56:13):
Mm hmm. Next game, Uh, Dallas at sam Frame Dallas, Dallas.
I want to say Dallas. I'm scared to say Dallas. Man, God,

(56:34):
i want want to take Dallas.

Speaker 4 (56:37):
Ye God, oh, one is just about as beat up
as the other one. I hate to do this against
you guys, and I'm gonna take San Francisco. Okay, my

(57:01):
good's telling me.

Speaker 5 (57:02):
That, all right. When in that game the Giants versus
Pittsburgh versus who Who?

Speaker 4 (57:14):
Did you say they were against Sean.

Speaker 1 (57:18):
Good morning, good afternoon.

Speaker 5 (57:22):
Good like?

Speaker 4 (57:29):
Oh that felt good.

Speaker 9 (57:32):
Okay, you said it was who Who and Pittsburgh Giants Giants.

Speaker 4 (57:44):
I hate to say it, and far be it from
me to to do this, but I'm taking Pittsburgh.

Speaker 1 (57:59):
Good morning, good afternoon, good like.

Speaker 4 (58:09):
That was in tribute to my taking Pittsburgh.

Speaker 5 (58:13):
Okay, what about you, Eric.

Speaker 1 (58:17):
Giants?

Speaker 5 (58:21):
Okay, Thursday game, Thursday game in Houston, and yet.

Speaker 4 (58:32):
I'll take Houston on that one I think they're gonna
I like C. J. Stroud. I would probably pick him
just about any time.

Speaker 5 (58:41):
Okay, that's it on the picks.

Speaker 4 (58:44):
Hang it, you guys, go ahead and talk.

Speaker 1 (58:50):
Okay, yep, uh.

Speaker 4 (58:56):
What do you think?

Speaker 1 (58:58):
Who do you think will win? Between the case?

Speaker 7 (59:00):
I was in Wizards? Yeahs, yes, did you guys watch
the World Series yesterday?

Speaker 5 (59:22):
I did not?

Speaker 4 (59:23):
All right, I'm back, Sorry about that damn phone. Anyway,
let's uh, I guess we can go ahead and wrap
this we're looking at uh well, we're just over an hour,
so whenever you guys are ready, we can wrap it
up for the week.

Speaker 1 (59:45):
I'm ready.

Speaker 4 (59:48):
You're ready? Hell yeah? You halredly ever can come in here.
You shouldn't be that ready.

Speaker 1 (59:53):
Well, I wonder what's the Ohio game?

Speaker 4 (59:55):
Oh, that's where that goes?

Speaker 7 (59:58):
Okay, because I also hardly get to watch Ohio State
games too.

Speaker 4 (01:00:03):
Well, that's true. What are you guys doing down here today?

Speaker 5 (01:00:08):
Watch Ohio State? It's about Uh, it's about it, man,
And we got.

Speaker 4 (01:00:16):
We got a half way decent day out here today.
I ain't got everybody around around me to help, so
I'll probably just watch a game and do a little
contesting what network is the game on? Let me find
out a hanger. Hey, Flora, what channel is that on

(01:00:40):
at CBS? It's on Fox Fox. Okay, any anyway, let's
go ahead and wrap this up for the week. Uh
appreciate everybody that's listened, and even if you didn't listen,
we still appreciate you. Yeah, we will go ahead and

(01:01:00):
wrap it for this week. Next week is what the
thirty or second? And it's like the second, So I'm
good that week. I got a couple of dates coming
up as far as we're not going to be able
to be here, but I'll let you I'll know as
that starts to happen next week. We should be good though.

(01:01:24):
Coming up tomorrow night, we've got our usual radioactive show.
I've got two really cool subjects coming, actually two or
three actually that I can think of. One is going
to be there's a local lady that was ninety years

(01:01:45):
old that lived at an Hoa or lives in an Hoa.
The h her neighbor volunteered to build a fence for
and when they be the guy he was having a
fence built on his own property and he took an

(01:02:06):
ad she needed. She wanted part of a fence built,
so he went ahead and built it for He turned
the plans into the planning into the building and Planning
commissions for both of the city and the county. The

(01:02:29):
plans were approved, but it didn't go through the HIA.
The HOA sent her a letter saying that if you
if you don't take this fence down, we're going to
do it for you. And about a week later they
came and take the took the fence down and charged

(01:02:51):
her one thousand dollars to take a take one hundred
and fifty dollars piece of wood apart. Now I'm sorry,
but yeah, your ho A doesn't own my property. I
should be able to do what I want if I'll

(01:03:13):
stick to some of your rules. But damn if i'm
gonna you know, you're gonna tell me what I can
have on my property and what I can't. So we're
going to get into this tomorrow night. That's what I'm
gonna probably want to So probably something. This is probably
something I'm going to follow up on in the near

(01:03:35):
future with other stuff. I hate stuff like this. I
think it's abuse of the elderly, And now that I'm
getting to that point, people abuse me all the time,
but that's beside the point. But I think it's I
think it's elderly abuse, and I think they're I think

(01:03:57):
there needs to be a stop put to. You know, Eric,
the one I thought about. You may want to tag
him because I know he's in one of your groups,
and that's you need to tag John Purbonic with that
article and see if you can get a response from
him about it. Okay, we're gonna tell Oh, okay, never mind,

(01:04:28):
I'm watching catching a game out of a corner of
my eye. But anyway, we're going to talk about that.
And also there's another anniversary coming up for one of
my favorite, all time, all time favorite spoofs for Halloween,
and that's The War of the Worlds. I was done

(01:04:50):
in nineteen thirty eight, and I'm probably I'm thinking about running.
Are maybe you running the show? Or maybe we'll do
this on the thirty first for the thirtieth. Maybe at
the thirtieth at eight o'clock, I'll just run it on
the station. I think i'd be a i'd be a

(01:05:12):

Speaker 5 (01:05:16):
Run the world.

Speaker 9 (01:05:17):

Speaker 4 (01:05:19):

we're we'll probably talk about that tomorrow night too, just
the anniversary of it and how cool it was and everything.
A lot of us weren't around, Gordon. Were you around
for the War of the Worlds?

Speaker 5 (01:05:38):
When was that done?

Speaker 4 (01:05:40):

Speaker 9 (01:05:49):

Speaker 4 (01:05:49):
I didn't get here to fifty four myself. So yeah, yeah,
I think that that show or that that broadcast always
has uh infatuated me, just because of the way it was. Yeah.
I remember stories from my mother telling them about what

(01:06:10):
it was like because she she was actually I think
she was like nine years old when it happened. Eight
years old, Yeah, eight years old when it happens. I
think it'll be cold to run it, and uh, I
think that's uh. And then Monday night we got Eric Show.

(01:06:31):
What are we What are you talking about?

Speaker 9 (01:06:33):

Speaker 1 (01:06:35):

Speaker 1 (01:06:41):

we'll talk Cleveland sports and then we'll talk Ohio State.

Speaker 4 (01:06:50):
That's cool, so ye all right, and then we'll be
back here next Saturday morning at eleven ish, and we'll
talk about what happened in sports last week and how
we did with our picks. Y'all have a grandad, a
grand week. We will see everybody in uh seven days

CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist

CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist

It’s 1996 in rural North Carolina, and an oddball crew makes history when they pull off America’s third largest cash heist. But it’s all downhill from there. Join host Johnny Knoxville as he unspools a wild and woolly tale about a group of regular ‘ol folks who risked it all for a chance at a better life. CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist answers the question: what would you do with 17.3 million dollars? The answer includes diamond rings, mansions, velvet Elvis paintings, plus a run for the border, murder-for-hire-plots, and FBI busts.
