Speaker 1 (00:03):
Calaroka Shock Media. Holy cow, I would never get through
this first story in real life. Hi, I am Johnny
Mack with five good news stories. So one mom sent
her son off to college and she made a video.
It's gone viral. Here's what she did. Her son walks
out of his room and breaks in with smile as

(00:25):
he heads towards the hallway and sees it lined with
his childhood photos, toys and Teddy Bears, along with notes
that read we love you and good luck in college.
It was inspired by the movie Toy Story. The young
man said, And I'm leaving for college today and my
mom told me she had a surprise. All my childhood
toys came to say bye. I as a dad, as

(00:45):
an eighteen year old, I would never go through that
without totally crying. The young man said. I was in shock.
He was so shocking because I had forgotten those Teddy
Bears even existed. So seeing them and my mom telling
the stories behind it, and even seeing the pictures of
me and those Teddy Bears, it was a lot in
a good way. One year old lab mix Raider is
the Navy's first ever morale dog to join active duty

(01:08):
Marines and sailors. One year old lab mixed Raider underwent
special training and is now the first ever morale dog
to join active duty Marines and sailors on USS and
Macon Island. For the past decade, San Diego nonprofit Shelter
to Soldier has trained shelter dogs as psychiatric service animals
for US veterans. When the training director, Nikki, started bringing

(01:30):
therapy dogs and Navy ships, crews had won request, they
were like, wish we had a dog that stayed on board.
Can we take this dog on deployment with us? Nicky says,
we were kind of like, actually, yeah, Raider, the dog
now lives on the ship full time. He's been training
to go to the bathroom on a potty patch, learning
how to wear booties, protect his feet from hot surfaces,
wearing eye protection, just getting used to all the noises

(01:52):
on the ship. Meanwhile, another black lab rescued named Lady,
is training to join the USS. Boxer. I find the
name of the ship funny because it's a lab and
it's a boxer. You get it, The organization says of Lady,
She's already a star. That's awesome. Nice job out of Chicago.
Local Coffee shop, Sip of Hope is the first coffee
shop in the world putting all of its proceeds towards

(02:15):
proactive suicide prevention and mental health education. The founder, Johnny
knows nine people who have died by suicide. He formed
the organization Hope for the Day as a way to
take action. Sip of Hope has collaborated with Dark Matter Coffee,
which supplies coffee beans for the shop. Both the shop
and Dark Matter Coffee see no profit. The shop's mission
is simply to raise funds for Hope for the Day.

(02:38):
Very nice job there, all right, record time the Kroc
King as a Guinness World Record. Dougie sand Tiger, is
that your birth name? That is an awesome name regardless.
Dougie sand Tiger said his fondness for Crocs footwear began
at age sixteen due to his childhood and foster care.
He grew up not knowing how to tie his shoes,

(02:59):
he told local TV. Part of the foster care system,
and people don't realize there is a lot of things
kids don't get taught or miss along the way. Well,
he now has thirty five hundred and sixty nine pairs
of Crocs. He started to seek the Guinness World Record.
In twenty twenty three, when his collection hit two thousand,
he was awarded the record of thirty five sixty nine,
but says now he's over thirty eight hundred. He hopes

(03:19):
to eventually show off his collection by opening a croxium.
And last time I promised you I would tell you
the forty nine unofficial holidays with dog in the name.
Are you ready? You got a pin, you got a
piece of paper, You're gonna write these down. Let's fly
through these. What if cats and dogs had a posable
thumbs Day, French Bulldog Day, Bulldogs Are Beautiful Day, Dog

(03:40):
Biscuit Appreciation Day, Dog Theft Awareness Day, Little Pamp Dog Day,
Spoil your Dog Day, Work Like a Dog Day, Take
your Dog to Work Day, National Dog Day, Bond with
Your Dog Day, Dog Photography Day, Dog Walker Appreciation Day,
Twin with Your Dog Day, Thankful for My Dog Day,
Dog Separation Anxiety Awareness Day, Dogs in Politics Day. There

(04:02):
are days celebrating ten different dog breeds and many many others.
As for me, I want to celebrate Hey dog, will
you come inside? Day? No joke in real life. It
is now on the day I'm recording this it's twelve
thirty three PM. I let my dog out somewhere around eight.
I have pictures that I sent my wife with the
dog being q at eight thirty, another one at ten

(04:25):
thirty saying still out there. And now it's twelve thirty
and the dog won't come in. It's this little, tiny
dog that I can't catch. But I have some errands
to run, so I want to celebrate. Hey dog, will
you come in day? Those your five goodness noise for today.
