Frights is titled a Texas Bigfoot EncounterNumber two. It's April of twenty twenty
three, and I'm preparing to goon a guided fishing trip with one of
my buddies in East Texas in abouta week. I'm getting my fishing gear
(00:53):
ready, and I decided to getup and test some of my equipment at
a lake about twenty five miles frommy house to ensure that everything's in working.
I get up the following morning beforesunrise and arrived just before daylight.
That's always how I like to starta day of fishing. I'm fishing at
owl Creek Park on Lake Belton inCentral Texas. I fished in this park
(01:15):
in area since my dad taught meto fish when I was six years old.
I've always felt comfortable fishing here becauseit's a very primitive area for day
use and camping. Very few peoplevisit this area unless they grew up around
here. Most people fish the clearwater just ten miles south of here.
The weather here has been hot anddry, and we've been in extreme drought
(01:38):
conditions for over a year. AsI arrived at the park as daylight started
breaking, I was surprised to seethe lake was thirty feet lower than usual,
which had changed the contour of someof the lake. I got my
gear and headed down to the waterto start fishing. It was foggy on
the water early and pretty cool itstarted this morning. I caught several fish
(02:00):
I planned to take home and cookfor dinner that night. I always felt
at peace fishing, so I wasthoroughly enjoying my morning, But things were
about to change. I was lookingaround the shore as I always do when
casting and waiting on that tug ofa bite by a fish, and I
(02:22):
saw some cows running frantically on theshore to the south, So, being
curious, I watched see if itmight be coyotes. Harassing the cows.
But as I was watching, oneof what I thought was a cow reared
up on two legs and started walkinglike a human. Then all the memories
(02:43):
from twenty four years ago flooded melike a wave of emotion. I froze
and watched the scene intently. Igrabbed my binoculars from a truck parked behind
me and resumed spectating. Sure enough, it was a creature similar to what
I saw all those years ago.It was bigger and broader at the shoulders
than I saw years ago. Thefeatures were the same, except it appeared
(03:07):
to be a male, but itwas hard to tell at that distance.
The creature walked to the water, waded in, and thrashed around. It
appeared it was cooling off, orso I guessed it hadn't noticed me yet.
I tried taking a picture and videowith my phone, but it was
too far away. I watched fora good ten to fifteen minutes, and
(03:30):
then the wind shifted and started blowingdirectly in the direction from me to the
bigfoot. Instantly, it froze inthe water and looked my way. Then
I heard a strange sound like I'dnever heard. It was kind of like
a roar, and the creature hurriedout of the water. It covered so
(03:51):
much ground so quickly. I sawit leap up on a ten foot creek
bank like a mere hurdle, andthen it was gone. I heard the
roar two more times, fading inthe distance. At this point felt like
it was time to go. Iwas shaking so badly that I could hardly
get my stuff back in my truck. I don't remember much of the drive
(04:13):
home. My thoughts were racing.I had actually seen a sasquatch for the
second time. When I arrived home, I shared my experience with my wife.
She encouraged me to share my experiencewith whoever would listen. And I've
shared my stories with the BFRO andgot no response. I've emailed others,
(04:35):
so called experts, but they failedto reply. I've read countless books since
April to understand more of the subjectand find a way to get people to
listen, but it's been useless untilnow, and I'm sharing this story with
you. Submitted by Tommy Hudson. This has been five minute frights compiled and

edited by Tom Lyons, narrated byDavid Flora. Additional works like this can
