Seven two seven t t E foray your residential plumbing needs. James,
(00:21):
could you have you on the fiftyfive KRC Morning Show and thank you for
the outstanding plumbing work you did ina bathroom remodeling projects. Oh, thank
you for having us out and goodmorning to you. It's always wanting to
talk to you in your audience andfor so to be a part of this
relationship with you guys. So thankyou. I thoroughly enjoyed it as well.
And I thank you on behalf ofall my listeners that you've helped out
(00:42):
over the years with the plumbing issues. And let's let's talk about what people
should consider before they allow someone inthe service trades to come into their home.
What determines who's allowed to do somework in folks homes and why are
these things necessary and important? Uhso, I mean this is going to
be kind of the more you knowtype of speech. I guess everybody out
(01:03):
there, but you know, peopletoday are more often than not going and
they're asking people on social media orwhomever it may be. And if they're
using somebody who is actually a licensedHVAC electrician, you know, carpenter,
plumber, or whomever it may be, then great, But there's a lot
of people out there that are kindof the opposing as handyman kind of guide,
(01:26):
and I'm just trying to be ascareful with people as they possibly can
because this is when things a lotof times go wrong. I mean,
there is a lot a lot ofthings that goes into running a professional service
company the right way and doing allthe things that are legally required to so
making sure that licensure is happening, that you're pulling permits, that they actually
have insurance, they're bonded, thatyou know, they can legally do business
(01:49):
in the state. I mean, there's a lot of things that can actually
happen that can be a liability thingfor the homeowner themselves. And then there's
things that can happen after the saleeven they're permitting, and those kinds of
things. So it's again it itmight stay you, you know, forty
bucks to use somebody that your friendyou know, told you about on Facebook.
I'll just tell you, you know, you really should go into an
(02:12):
actual professional in these situations. Yeah, codes come into mind, and there's
a reason the codes are out there. And if you're running a foul of
some of the codes, you couldhave a serious, serious problem with your
house. And of course an inspectionif you're trying to sell it may reveal
that and you're going to have toend up doing it over again, which
is going to cost you a wholelot more money than getting it done right
at the outset. Oh, withouta doubt. There's there's no doubt that
(02:37):
doing it right the first time isthe right way. And you know,
I mean everybody has our opinion aboutwhat the right way is, I guess
obviously, but yes, I meanthere is codes. There are codes there
for a reason. There are youknow, there are you know, trade
organizations that are that are the governingbodies of these things, and each discipality
to make sure that they have peoplethat are inspectors and stuff like that coming
(02:58):
out the look too. So,yeah, what are some of the red
flags when dealing with reputable businesses, technicians, trades, people, etcetera.
With it your friends refer to onsocial media or elsewhere, I would say
that the way of winning business withthe I mean, so we've all had
a bad experience, right, Imean it's all it's all day to day
(03:19):
and we we let those personal actions, you know, affect us. But
when people use the negative type ofyou know, well this person do this
right, this person do that right, whatever it may be. Again,
I just caution people to be carefulin the situations. I can tell you
that from our standpoint, we arevery strong about our technicians Honestly, never
(03:42):
you know, bringing up any typeof negative things that happen their home previously
by some other technician or whatever itmay be, and I mean by another
company or whatever. It just doesn'tdo any good. It doesn't make the
person feel any better. I mean, we're there to fix the problem.
So if the person's using negative languageto try to win a job and and
make you feel like it's us againstthem, I mean, honestly, that's
(04:03):
a that's kind of a con manone I wanted and I'm not trying to
be nasty from that side. It'sjust it's just the wrong way to go
about it. You know, somebodytelling you that, you know, you
can try to get other quotes, but it's gonna be a waste of time.
You know, I'm the cheapest forsure. I mean, if you
want to get other quotes, getother quotes, you know, unless it's
(04:23):
something that you know, it justI I have heard this several times,
and I mean there's a there's acontractor in this area right now is running
commercials. It's talking about don't goget another another quote. A thought,
Wow, that's a that's a prettybold statement. But you know, I
mean, you know, I guessyou do what you you feel like you
have to do. I would justtell you that you know, companies need
to be kept in check as well, and that I even I include ourselves
(04:45):
in that. We we we arealways every single day it's about how they're
gonna be better, how we canbe more honest, how it can be
the best we possibly can for everysingle person. But I mean that's part
of what what keeps the company goodand honest, right is knowing that you
know there's gonna because people are gonnacall out on it sometimes and say hey,
what about this, and that isthe way thing to do. You
know, you are you're servicing people. You're you're providing a service to them
(05:09):
real quick here this time of year. And since you are obviously a plumbing
company, plump tight dot com thesome pump making sure the sum pump works
well in your water pressure is goodin your home. Yeah, I mean
this is the time of year wheresome pumps are going to become especially important,
right. I mean we've seen someof these gigantic rains here the last
month. Water pressure, I mean, you know pr e's particularly are bad,
(05:30):
you know, every sixty years, six to eight years, and so
you're sort of hearing water hammer orsome you know jossly MPIs, those kind
of things. Pose bids are agood thing to get you know, figured
out. And then obviously j upsfor you know, any kind of heating
or cooling equipment as well. That'sthe time of year to do this kind
of thumps right now, and youknow, to be able to deal those
things for you. So, James, I'll strongly encourage my listeners to do
(05:54):
what I do every time I havea plumbing issue. Seven two seven T
I T E Online plumb tight dotcom. Thanks again for the excellent work
you've done for me and my listenersover the years. James, keep up
the great work, my friend.Thank you so much for my pleasure to
