(03:25):
how are you doing, my friend? I'm good? Do or
I'm doing good?

Speaker 2 (03:28):
My man? How's love training you today?

Speaker 1 (03:31):
I could complain, but it won't do no good, So
I'm just gonna say that. You know, it's all right.
I'm still on this side of the dirt, so all things,
I'm the bright side.

Speaker 2 (03:41):
Baseball starting soon, we got a lot of juicy news
for free agency, and on top of that, it's almost summer, baby.

Speaker 1 (03:47):
Man, favorite time of year coming up, a lot of
things to look forward to. But uh, I appreciate you
holding it down during my absence. I know that we've
done an episode together since then, but I just feel
like I need to give you another round of applause
for that. You stepped up when I had to step out,
and I appreciate that. But back in our stride, baby

(04:11):
and uh, this was what we were going to do
on a previous episode. But we're gonna get into these
twenty twenty four MLB Award predictions. Way too early to
be talking about any of this stuff, but it's it
makes for it makes for good content, and if you
if you put some good thought into it. I don't

(04:31):
think that we'll be too far off at the end
of the year. It'll be really nice to roll back,
you know, at the end of November October and come
back and see where we you know, where we got
it right, where we got it wrong.

Speaker 2 (04:42):
You know, I mean definitely you can always be worried too,
because it might be dead wrong and all that. So
somebody like you expect to be super good and an
a it's baseball, man, and you turn into one of
the freaking worst baseball players in the season.

Speaker 1 (04:55):
And you've got one hundred and sixty two regular season games.
You know that's no, that's nothing. The scoff at. You know,
that's not a seventeen eighteen in a week NFL season.
That's not a week to prepare. Yeah, you know, you're
playing upwards of four or five games a week every
week until you know, from well we start on I

(05:17):
think the league opens on the twenty eighth, if I'm
not mistaken, March twenty eighth, April twenty eighth, my bad.
March twenty eight, No, it's March mart Yeah, Mar March
twenty eight. Then and then it runs clean through October
into the playoffs. So you know, it's a long season.
Anything can happen. You know, you can the people that
we mentioned today might not even be healthy. You come

(05:39):
October not wishing injury on anyone. So I'm an knock
on wood, you know, I don't. I don't mean to
antagonize the baseball GUIDs. We know how fickled they can be.
But without further ado, do you want to start the
AL or the NL.

Speaker 2 (05:57):
Let's start the NL, but I want you to go first.
I want to see if I'm roughly around the same
area with you.

Speaker 1 (06:04):
Let's selections. Let's start with the MVP. Okay, all right,
So I've got Philly's first baseman, Bryce Harper coming away
as the National League MVP. He's coming off of a
rebound season where he was out for a long time
with with I think it was an elbow injury. It

(06:26):
was a it was a nasty injury, Yeah, defectively ended
his outfield career, moved him into full time DH roll
for the foreseeable future, and somewhere along the way, he
figured that picking it at first actually probably serves Bryce

(06:47):
Harper's game a little better, because it's really hard to
just be a DH Sure, you're basically a pitch hitter
every you know, every time at back you're just sitting
in the dugout and then you gotta go swing the bat.
Whereas the move to first base, you're in the game,
you're focused, you're locked in every play. And Bryce Harper
is one of those guys that he it's almost like

(07:09):
he needs the pressure to be one for him to
perform at his best. So I think moving to first base,
he's finally completely healthy. There's been no hiccups this spring.
I know that I was looking around on the old
Fantasy wire and if I'm not mistaken, they were listening
to day to day. But I think those are just
the typical preseason spring training precautions that you want to

(07:32):
take with your start and protect him for down the road.
Give me give me a full year of Bryce Harper
on the on the on the first base. Give give
me Bryce Harper MVP. I think he smashes thirty five
home runs at least one hundred and five ribis. I

(07:55):
know that we're gonna do this probably next episode, talk
about gold Glovers and silver Sluggers, but I think he
would be perfectly in line for both awards at first base.
Give me Bryce Harper, Brice Hoper. I agree. I agree,
it's a good take.

Speaker 2 (08:14):
I mean, I think another reason too why he's at
first base, not just because of the Tommy John injury.
I mean, the Phillies are going big, definitely in that
outfield spot. They have Brandon marsh Nick Costiano's swarber, of course,
but he's more of a d H type of guy,
and they got they got prospects coming up, and I
would wouldn't wouldn't be surprised if I saw a big trade.
I mean, who knows, you might even see my trout

(08:36):
as a Philly midseasons give and take that. The Angels,
I mean they've missed on on. We'll talk about this
guy later, but Blake snow for me.

Speaker 1 (08:45):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (08:46):
I have Mookie Batts actually for the n L MVP, yep.
I mean the past three years he's finished top three,
and I think this year. Why he has Freddie Freeman
and show he behind him. I think that he's gonna
get it done. I mean, this guy's probably gonna slash
up over at least probably I'd say, given take maybe

(09:07):
fifty to seventy five extra base hits for sure. Yeah,
I think you can throw in thirty. I'm gonna go
with honestly forty home runs. I really see Mookie making
the push this year with his you know, stellar offense
and defense. I mean, last year, let's see here, I'm
just gonna go back and open my theme real quick.
His average was three oh seven with thirty nine home runs,
one oh seven RBIs and a nine eighty seven ops.

(09:29):
I think he goes over very over. And I think
because there's this motivated team right now with the Dodgers
and you know, just getting sho Hao Tani, just give
him that extra boost him, you know, make a really
late push, and they're gonna need him, especially if they
want to go over one hundred and head wins.

Speaker 1 (09:43):
Absolutely. And while there is all the logic in the
world to think Mookie bitts and and what I'm about
to say might just be hogwash, but in my mind,
if the Dodgers have the year that the Dodgers think
that they're about to have. And that's assuming Yoshinobu Yamamoto clicks,
he doesn't just implode. That's assuming Glass now stays healthy,

(10:07):
the Otani stays healthy, you know. Freddy continues to Freddy,
Muki continues to Mooki. It's in my opinion, it's gonna
be hard. Muki's gonna have to do something crazy, like
like Ronald did last year, Akuna Junior setting the forty
seventy club because of the amount of just astronomical players

(10:28):
that that Mooki's playing with it when you've got Freddie
Freeman battling for the batting title every year with you know,
Luis Rise, I mean, the man averages almost four hundred
for a season. Come on, when you've got Otani who
And I'm not trying to work, you know, I'm not
trying to spend too much time digging into why I

(10:48):
don't think each player could rival Muoki because that may
or may not bungle some future picks and what we're
about to talk about. But I just think that if
everybody does what they are predicted to do, it's gonna
be hard for anybody to look at just Mooki and
be like, he's the most valuable player on that team.

(11:09):
Muki is probably the best athlete in athletics right now.

Speaker 2 (11:14):
I mean you could even argue too, because let's not
forget he's gonna be a shortstop this year exactly.

Speaker 1 (11:20):
And that's that might work against him, though you know
what I'm saying, that might work against him. The I'm
not saying that Mooki can't do it, because I've seen
Mooki duncan. I've seen Mooki catch nasty routes, mossing people
like Muoki can do whatever Mooki wants to do. But
let's assume he's human for a moment and he has

(11:43):
hiccups on the defensive side. How much of that is
going to be something that influence his his hitting because
he's not somebody that struggles defensively or offensively for that matter,
but because he's had this long history of consistent to
see if he does, for once in his career struggle defensively,

(12:04):
does that throw him off? And I think and the
fact that we're having to talk about these wild scenarios
for it to be something to like break Mooki from
the MVP talk, I think that speaks to the volume
of player he is. And I'm not trying to take
anything from mister Betts. He is worth everything that he's
getting paid. And then so he's already been an MVP

(12:25):
once in his career back in Beantown with the bull Socks.
I could I could see Mooki doing it. I very
well could. But it's just if Mooki wasn't on the Dodgers.
Give me Mooky all day. If give me Mooki playing
how he is on any other team except for maybe
the Yankees, and he's probably your clear and cut MVP.

(12:49):
But I mean, I wouldn't be surprised if he if
he if it's October and he's getting named regular season MVP,
I would not be shocked.

Speaker 2 (12:59):
I mean, even with our talk for two it's you
can say that realistically, you could say the same being
especially given take that he's had this Tommy John surgery.
I mean, he looked great during sprint training for sure. Yeah,
but again, first base does require a lot of action.
He's still gonna have to get dirty and then a
hot you know, he's in a hot corner.

Speaker 1 (13:14):
But let's he wasn't a bum in the outfield.

Speaker 2 (13:18):
No, not at all, Paul.

Speaker 1 (13:19):
If Paul Goldschmidt at age thirty six can still be
a will above average defender at first base in the MLB,
Bryce Harper is gonna be just fine.

Speaker 2 (13:32):
Fair.

Speaker 1 (13:33):
I mean you can't argue that that is fair. I mean, sure,
he's not gonna be Frederick mister Freeman or Matt Olsen
on on first base, but he will get It's not
gonna be like you're playing MLB the Show and you've
got David Ortiz with that black hole defense out there.
And I'm not talking about black hole in a good way.
Like anybody that plays MLB the Show knows that when

(13:55):
you when your player has a black hole next to
their defensive rating, that's that's bad. It's very very bad,
very bad. That means that means that that player probably
needs to be a d H.

Speaker 2 (14:05):
But you playing will be the show.

Speaker 1 (14:08):
You know what? This year is the first year in
about four years, five years that I haven't pre ordered
it and played it. But yeah, like, yeah, yeah, I've
played from nineteen to twenty three. Yeah, I love me
some MLB in the show. I just don't have the
time to commit to it.

Speaker 2 (14:23):
Well, not that it's still a lot of money. I
mean it's going Forrady Bucks if you're you know, depending
on what you're playing on for.

Speaker 1 (14:28):
So yeah, which I swell the PS four, which takes
a lot of the fun out for me because I
want the created stadium and all that other stuff, and.

Speaker 2 (14:36):
I've one let's get into Let's get into sion want.

Speaker 1 (14:42):
Did you say on right now? Yeah? Go ahead?

Speaker 2 (14:44):
Okay, so hang on, Oh we didn't do it. We
do it or we didn't do al just.

Speaker 1 (14:50):
Realize that, Well we'll run through the al. We'll run
through the al separately. But uh nl cy Young on
three one two three.

Speaker 2 (15:00):
Spen Stryder Okay, yeah, I mean we don't have to
get really too much into this. I mean Spence Stryder,
he's I mean he just got named the starter this
as of today we speak, I mean, yep Strider. Yeah,
opening day Stryder, you know, three point eighty six era
two hundred and eighty one strikeouts, two hundred eighty one strikeouts,
one point zero nine whip and then he had a

(15:21):
win lost ratio of twenty to five. I mean, give
and take that. Now, Spence Strider. They're about to really
probably lose Max Freed. I do see Spence Strider, you know,
turning into that ace potential and might be even getting Yes,
he did get extended yesterday last year, but I think
that Spence Strider now with his contract, he might even
pull some mon Lacuna numbers as a pitcher and get

(15:42):
over twenty five wins. He has an ERA I can
see it roughly round below two point thirty, and I
see his strikeouts hitting three hundred this year. I mean,
Straider just looks amazing. I mean in the springtime he
didn't give up any runs, he had a zero ERA,
he had four his four to zero win or four
to zero uh win loss of ratio and overall he's

(16:03):
just looked stellar. And I think that carries on to
the regular season, and with the addition to Chris Sale,
he's gonna have that veteran presence from Chris Sale, and
overall he's just he looks great.

Speaker 1 (16:15):
So yeah, so I predict Spencer Stratter to finish the
regular season with a two point two eight ERA. You
said he went twenty and five last year. Give this
man h thirty and two. Spencer Strater, you said a

(16:36):
wild prediction two hundred and eighty one strikeouts.

Speaker 2 (16:39):
Last year two one hundred and eighty nine, two.

Speaker 1 (16:41):
Hundred and eighty nine. Give him three hundred and fifty.

Speaker 2 (16:43):
This year highlight is two hundred and eighty one. Yes,
I think.

Speaker 1 (16:47):
Give him three fifty because Spencer Strater is not only
a year older, which isn't bad for him because he's
still young enough to where that works in his favor,
but he's a year more mature. Sure, and he added
a curveball that's not fair because it comes out of
the same arm slot and tunnels the exact same as

(17:08):
its four C. I mean, that's scooting in at one
hundred plus and then he's gonna drop a seventy eight
mile an hour curve give.

Speaker 2 (17:18):
I mean you can say the same thing about Chris
Sale too. Yeah, carvear slot.

Speaker 1 (17:22):
The curveball alone is why I chose Spencer Striter. That
curve ball is worth five wins, seventy five strikeouts, and
and it's that curveball alone will slash his ERA at
almost a third.

Speaker 2 (17:37):
I gingerly would be shocked if he has any above
a two point eight zero r.

Speaker 1 (17:41):
Oh, if he has a two point eight, I'm considering
that a bad year. Yeah, like I'm i'm, I'm I'm
being dead serious when I say he shouldn't have anything
over a low two three. He is going to be
disgusting this year and it's not even gonna be fair. Well,
my friend, what about come Back Player of the Year.

(18:01):
I think it's hands down easily the New York Mets
star reliever Edwin ds I think Edwin DZ comes back
and solidifies himself as the most dominant reliever in baseball.
And if he wasn't hurt last year, I would have
him winning our next award. But because he was so

(18:22):
he was hurt and was out all last year. You know,
he had that unfortunate injury in the World Baseball class sea.
Uh give me Edwin d Is. He's gonna he's gonna
have a mid to e r A. He's gonna have
thirty five plus saves. He's gonna be awesome.

Speaker 2 (18:40):
I got for I Now, I'm gonna stick around your roots,
but I'm got O'Neill Cruise from the Pittsburgh Pirates. I
think this guy's he's looked so amazing.

Speaker 1 (18:50):
He's springed.

Speaker 2 (18:50):
I'm gonna pull up the stats right now, but this
dude has matched more home runs in Juan Soto and
uh so. Right now for spring training he is a
three fifty five average in thirty one at bats, seven
home runs, fourteen RBIs, one stolen base, and at one
point for seven to six on ops. I mean no
oil cruise. I mean before he got injured last year

(19:12):
with the Bucks, he looked stellar. Two he had you know,
he hit the hardest ball for in stack cast history.
Uh he's very fast, very short stop. Yep, he throws
that ball over not one hundred miles an hour. He's insane,
and I think this year he's gonna turn it on
give and take two. That the Pirates have made a
lot of actual good additions and the way Paul Skeins
has looked, I would not be surprised if he turns

(19:33):
out to be one of their best players on that
team and gets in a little contract extension. Absolutely, I'm
gonna go with the new Cruz here. I mean again,
I could absolutely agree with so. I mean Edwin di
is too. He I wouldn't be surprised if one of
those two were are nah picks.

Speaker 1 (19:49):
I mean, you gotta think I've seen a lot of
O'Neil cruise over the last year being a Cardinals fan.
You know, I see a lot of Inno Central Baseball,
so love ow Cruse had a nasty Carden in the
show last year. Yeah you did.

Speaker 2 (20:02):
I mean give it take two to just being like
a just neutral MLB fan. You're not really having a
team because I'm waiting for Nashville. I told you that.
And I'm really excited to see Cruz. My uncle's a
diehard Pirates fan and he's he's been looking.

Speaker 1 (20:14):
For PNC parts. Not a big part, mm hmm, not
at all. And and also I think it's I think
he's got a wonderful opportunity to take off. Sorry, I
don't want anybody I loved it. Sorry all right. So

(20:36):
reliever of the Year, and like I said, if Edwin
Diaz went hurt last year, I'd have him winning Reliever
of the Year. But the end, my n L Reliever
of the Year winner. I've got Camilla Dovall of the
of the San Francisco Giants, and I think that's even
more solidified now that Snail's on the team. I think
there's gonna be more opportunities for Dovall pitch and meaningful situations.

(20:59):
H He's already one of the elite closers of the
game or relievers if you want, because there's really no
such thing as true closers anymore. But give me, give
me Camilla Daval.

Speaker 2 (21:11):
I like him there, Okay, So because I had crews
that come back, I have Edwin here for I know
again we went over him. He's solid, real or reliever.
The trumpets sound, and.

Speaker 1 (21:24):
Who don't love for trumpets?

Speaker 2 (21:25):
You know? Yeah? And I think too, you know, even
even though he had injury last year, that terrible injury.

Speaker 1 (21:31):
Again, it's edwin Y is man.

Speaker 2 (21:33):
That the Mets aren't going to be really that big
of a contender this year. I don't see them getting
past eighty five wins. Yeah, but I think the one
star player is going to be Edwindy is for sure. Sure.

Speaker 1 (21:45):
Who you got for n AL Manager of the Year.

Speaker 2 (21:49):
Might call me crazy for this one, but I got
Bob Melvine Baby for the Giants. I think that I do.
I think that you know, they just got Snell, that
they got Matt Chapman, they got the list goes on
for them, and I think that this team could get
easily get over ninety wins. I wouldn't be surprised. I mean,
give and take two that they just got black Snell,
they got their solid starter, they got their solid third basement.

(22:10):
The Giants are looking great, man, and I think you
know they're gonna be just like the brock Room chemistry.
And on top of Bob Melvin having that chip on
his shoulder from getting fired from the Padres this year, right,
I think he takes them to the postseason and has
a solid offseason. I wouldn't be surprised if they finished
in second place in the NL West.

Speaker 1 (22:29):
Right. You know, it's funny since I took my notes
for this, Blake was still a free agent whenever I
filled this out, so I wasn't even thinking Giants, Like
if I if that would have been my pick, if
I would have took my notes after he had already signed.
But you've taken them, so I don't you know, I

(22:49):
don't need to double that up. But I honestly see
a world where David Bell of the Cincinnati Reds wins
nail Manager of the Year. I see the Reds being
able to win mid eighties to low nineties, making it
into the playoffs, potentially went into Central just depending on
how the Cardinals here to go. Like, he's got a
lot of young, exciting, really good talent, and he brought

(23:13):
in I think I think enough veteran presence there to
solidify the young talent. And give me David Bell of
the Cincinnati Rids.

Speaker 2 (23:24):
I can see it for sure. I mean, give me
take to that Li Della Cruise is get on that team.
There's just so many players too on that team, They're
gonna be solid. I wouldn't be surprised if they took
you know, the Central or East, the Central, yep Central.
I mean, you're really high on those Cardinals, man, and
I know that's your team.

Speaker 1 (23:41):
But yeah, but I can't. I can't be a Homer,
you know what I'm saying. I can't fill out the
MVP at the MVP. Can't b Nolan Aeronado, that Cy Young,
can't be Sonny Gray. You know, I've got to think,
you know when I you know, it's fun for me
to sit back and wich and dream, but I feel
like when it comes to these shows, I owe it
to the listeners to be as impartial. I can't for
exercises like this. You know, of course, I want my

(24:03):
Cardinals to be the best at everything, but there's a
real world where the off season moves the Cardinals make
don't work, and they don't win the Central and don't
make the playoffs.

Speaker 2 (24:13):
Again, It's okay when you're trying and all on the podcast,
I'll make sure to give you a chocolate.

Speaker 1 (24:18):
I appreciate it. All right, let's wrap up the National
League with your Rookie of the Year winner.

Speaker 2 (24:26):
I'm gonna be honest, I forgot to that one or
eer on me looking in the year for now.

Speaker 1 (24:33):
I kind of wrote two down because I can't choose
between the two.

Speaker 2 (24:37):
Give me, give me your two.

Speaker 1 (24:38):
So I had Yoshinoba Yamamoto okay, and Jack Centurio.

Speaker 2 (24:44):
I'm gonna go with Yamato. Yeah, Yamamato, Yeah, I think
he's gonna I mean, he had one bad game Instagram training.
Other than that, he was filthy shot curveball just again.
It's back with that Spens strategy conversation that curveball man
has Elie. You see it from an pires pov. The
Bault literally moves last second and he's fast, his mechanic,

(25:04):
everything about him is just it's great. And with shoe
O Tawny there with the mentor, he's gonna dude, he's
gonna be probably I'm gonna give him.

Speaker 1 (25:15):
I just don't think it's a lot though. Man, I
just think there's a there. Like I said, there's a
world where Japanese players don't don't thrive over here for
a reason. Not everybody can be Otani, And there's a
world where he just gets his cheeks clap, you know.
I mean, I can't say no to that, but I

(25:37):
just don't think that's gonna happen. That's why I wrote
him down. And Jackson Cherio is the young, hot, top
of the farm prospect for the Milwaukee Brewers that they
just signed to a seven year, eighty million dollar extension
or something like that. They pulled to alex Anthopolis and
locked up their star young piece for a long time off.

(25:59):
He I think he's expected to break camp with the
team and.

Speaker 2 (26:05):
With his.

Speaker 1 (26:07):
Once again, I'm trying to be impartial in the central
because I do what you gotta do, man I would
I won't Mason win or Victor Scott the third to win.
But I just think Jackson Cheerio is gonna be there
from day one. He's already a you know, uh well,
is an established of a hitter as you can be

(26:28):
in the minor leagues, and he's gonna play I think
corner outfield. So no, no, you know, huge premium on
defense is needed, but he's gonna be more than serviceable.
I can see a world where Jackson Cherio wins.

Speaker 2 (26:46):
I mean you could even throw in Paul Skeens at
this point.

Speaker 1 (26:48):
Yeah, I just don't see Paul Skeens breaking with the club.
I think they're gonna wait until at least May, maybe
maybe June. They might wait until September, just so that
they can tweak that clock. I mean, the kid just
got drafted, but look at how he's bad. I understand that.

Speaker 2 (27:09):
Made the best prospect in baseball, folded and all, but.

Speaker 1 (27:14):
You can't you can't make a career decision like that
off of one at bat or one screen training. I mean,
the kid, you might you liable to call him up,
and then one Soto takes him deep and he never
has he never has any more confidence, so he like
gets the permanent yips.

Speaker 2 (27:33):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (27:33):
I reporks one in in in the river outside of
p NC Park and and he's just doing send him
back down, completely crushes momentum, his momentum, his motivation, his
confidence derails his his pitching program.

Speaker 2 (27:51):
That he's in.

Speaker 1 (27:52):
There's just I wouldn't bring him. I wouldn't bring him up.
And as I know, he looks good and I know
in our last episode we talked about forcing your the
the manager, the management's hand into making us. But at
some point you can't let the player run your organization. Bear.

Speaker 2 (28:12):
I mean again, they do still have guys like oh
my god, Martin Praz as a starter. They have David Bennar.
They again, I agree, I agree, I just I just
don't see a world where sorry, I'm something stuck in
my back of my throat. I just don't see a
world where he doesn't get past may time at least

(28:33):
and gets called up. I mean, if he dominates for
the first two year or months in the Triple A,
I don't even see him going. If he goes into
Double A, I'd be surprised.

Speaker 1 (28:41):
But now he'll start Triple A.

Speaker 2 (28:43):
Yeah, I think he goes in there with I forgot
their team.

Speaker 1 (28:48):
If he was me, he'ld be he would be my
forty first player. He would be the first player off
of the forty man that as soon as I see
something that I could feel confident in pulling him up, Bam,
here there but I let him start in triple A,
and like you're saying, if he goes through uh April
looking good, makes three or four starts in April when

(29:10):
he's fine, and does it get chilled? I mean it's
the Central man, he might as well.

Speaker 2 (29:19):
Yeah. No, nothing against the ant of Central, but I
mean they're gonna be They're young. I think majority of
the end of Central, besides maybe the Brewers, they're all young.
So you still have somewhat of an advantage for that.

Speaker 1 (29:30):
Let's get into this American League. Who you got winning
MVP of the American League?

Speaker 2 (29:36):
Man, I feel like we both know this, it's gonna
be Hon Soto. God I got one so to so
it's it's a clear decision.

Speaker 1 (29:44):
Man.

Speaker 2 (29:44):
He has a short porch and uhs I woant to
be surprised if hegles past fifty man because this is
one of his contract years. I think this year, after
the series the Free Agent, he's gonna want to put
on a show to get a bag and Juan Soto
uncle chick as down another bag. Yeah yeah, And I

(30:05):
mean last year with the Paudres and he did slump
a little bit. Let's not let's not forget that. He
did go through a little slump.

Speaker 1 (30:11):
And Padres had stuff going on. Man there, sure, I
think it was.

Speaker 2 (30:16):
Just him because I'm looking at these um right now.
Even with his slump, okay and him not being Juan Soto,
he still had a two seventy five batting average, thirty
five home runs, one oh nine RBIs, and he had
zero point nine to three zero oh ps. So Soto's
not I mean, he's young still.

Speaker 1 (30:32):
He's only twenty five, twenty six, and.

Speaker 2 (30:36):
He looks like modern day baby ruces.

Speaker 1 (30:39):
Folks talk about him like he's thirty one. He's twenty six.

Speaker 2 (30:44):
Yeah, and I think given take two that he's he's
going to be great in right field, paired up with
Aaron Judge. I wouldn't be surprised if he gets a
contract extension around June July time with the Yankees.

Speaker 1 (30:55):
I would have already tried to extend him.

Speaker 2 (30:57):
I would too. I think he's going to test out
free agency.

Speaker 1 (31:00):
Yeah, oh yeah, yeah. So who you got winning the
al Cy Young.

Speaker 2 (31:07):
Call me crazy, but I'm gonna go Kevin gosman Man
he finished top three. He finished top three with uh
Brooding last year, losing to Garrett Cole Gossman had a
twelve nine win record, three point one six e r,
a two hundred and thirty seven strikeouts, and a one
point one eight whip. I know he's injured right now,

(31:28):
he's gonna be a little late into the season, but
I just think he's, you know, given take two, that
he's their number one option right now for their bolt
or their starting lineup or rotation. I see that that
year where he's gonna pop off because Jay's are gonna
need it too, and he's gonna take the Jays, you know,
to maybe to a wild card spot. And they look great, man,

(31:50):
I mean, Jays looks pretty solid. They did lose out
obviously on Matt Chapman, but they got Joey Vado and
they got Justin Turner, so they have veteran presidents. That
gives him that extra motivation to really print it up
this year.

Speaker 1 (32:02):
I like it. I think it's gonna be uh newcomer
to the al Uh pitching for the the winner of
the Al East, Corbyn Burns pitching for the Orioles. I
think I think he's gonna tear it up a new
new new city, new uniform, new league. Nobody's seen him

(32:26):
as much in the al I think a lot of them.
I think it's gonna be a breath of fresh air.
He's gonna get revitalized. You're gonna see Corbyn from a
couple of years ago, nasty Corbyn Burns. Uh, I like
him and I like him in Baltimore. He's gonna have
the defense behind him to where it's just gonna be unfair.

Speaker 2 (32:46):
So with Corter Burns, I know, I we speke on
one of our first episodes, if you know, hopefully rg's
remember that episode. I had Corbyn Burns having down here
and I just I don't know. I have a feeling, man,
and I would love to be wrong, and it looks
like an idiot right now on live podcasting, but I

(33:07):
just have that feeling man, where he's gonna he's he's
getting older and he's he had a decline last year,
and I have a feeling that he's gonta put too
much pressure on himself and he's gonna turn into Alex Manoa.
Not obviously like him, but I just I don't.

Speaker 1 (33:19):
Know it could happen. I mean, he definitely has off years.
But I think once again, just like we were talking
about with Juan Soto, there were there were things happening
in Milwaukee that weren't typical, that wasn't a friendly environment
last year. I'm just assuming that I'm putting I guess
I should say, I'm putting my faith that he's gonna

(33:40):
take this and run with it instead of taking taking
this and and and stumbling a little bit.

Speaker 2 (33:46):
He's in a contract year too.

Speaker 1 (33:48):
I think there's gonna be more pressure on Grayson Rodriguez
and that in that rotation then there will be on him.

Speaker 2 (33:54):
Sure, so I agree. I mean again, I wouldn't be
surprised if he's amazing this year. It's corn birds. So
what about Combat Player of the Year.

Speaker 1 (34:03):
My friend, give me New York Yankees left handed starter
Carlos Rodan. Okay, I think he's looked pretty decent. I
got to watch him pitch a couple of games this spring.
He looks pretty good. And when Carlos Rodin is right,
Carlos Rodan is right, and uh I I think I

(34:28):
think he's gonna have a solid, solid year and it's
going to be enough to win him the AO Comeback
Player of the Year.

Speaker 2 (34:38):
I'm really for confident about this one.

Speaker 1 (34:40):
Man.

Speaker 2 (34:40):
I got my trout. I think my Trout this year,
he's been injured a lot, a lot, and he's gonna
have a chip on his shoulder. Man losing Donnie and
him him finally going back to that bike Trout of
You know what, I'm the leader of this team. I
have the presence, I'm the MVP, you know, so on
and so forth. I have a light going on now.

(35:00):
I mean Trout still last year he had eighteen home runs,
forty four over eyes and two sixty three batting average.
He's still not bad. And yeah, I just I think
this year, give and take two that like I said,
he's a mean new veteran. He's gonna look great, man,
and I think he's getta run with it. And I
can see. I can see college went on as well.
I actually had him as my third option. But again,

(35:21):
Mike Trout is a Trout. So what about Uh, let's
go Reliever of the Year.

Speaker 1 (35:28):
I'm going shout out to my boy Ryan. We're gonna
take this back down to Houston. We're gonna go take
josh Hayter having a phenomenal season that will stretch well
into the postseason for the Astros. Mister Joshua Hater.

Speaker 2 (35:48):
We love Ryan for sure. You know, rest in peace.

Speaker 1 (35:50):
Brother.

Speaker 2 (35:51):
I got Felix Patista, man, I had him. Josh Hater
is my second one. But Felix Patista.

Speaker 1 (35:56):
I didn't think he was pitching this year.

Speaker 2 (35:58):
I didn't either, But now that he is, I think
he's gonna come back. Man, He's gonna look amazing.

Speaker 1 (36:04):
I again, I didn't take him from Comeback Player of
the Year because I didn't think he was pitching this year.

Speaker 2 (36:10):
For sure. Sure I forgot the stats on him. But
philis Patista, I mean, he looked great before his injury
last year. He was a clear cut starter. His theater
and his fastball, his sinker, all that good jazz. It
looks great, man. And I think that you know, now
they have Gordon Burns and he has all these tools
with him. I think they're gonna be a lot of
good setups for him inside late games, and he's gonna

(36:31):
be the new is.

Speaker 1 (36:34):
Who you got from Manager of the Year?

Speaker 2 (36:36):
Is that Bruce Bochi Rangers taking boats?

Speaker 1 (36:42):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (36:43):
Bochi Bach excuse me, iebatched that. Yeah, I got Bochie.
I just think this year it's gonna be The Rangers
have still so many these tools, and they're young too.
You know, he has Corey Seeger, they have marks seeming
list goes on. I think this year it's gonna be Sorry, Ryan,
but I think that over Houston they're gonna take first place.

(37:05):
Ain't this is the year where they're gonna be one
of the highest teams for the AL And I think
he's gonna win that MVP. Ear the Man of the Year.

Speaker 1 (37:14):
You're gonna look at me crazy. But we're gonna go
out on the planes to the Midwest and I'm taking
the team that won or that lost one hundred and
one games last year. Give me Matt Quatrauro of the
Kansas City Royals to have them low eighties, but they

(37:38):
will pick narrowly make the Wild Carden. Now I'm just playing.
They're probably gonna narrowly miss the playoffs. But because of
the fact that they will have gone from a one
hundred plus lost season to a over five hundred season,
give me give me Kansas City Royals.

Speaker 2 (38:02):
Versus trying going on right now. The Royals are like
the New Rangers. Mars caught her hank in twenty twenty five.
The rate or the Royals will be in the playoffs
and they will be going late in the playoffs. They're
going to be young right now, I think this's just
one more year. But I'm gonna be honest, a little
crazy take, but I see it. I mean, I can
see that happening. I just I don't know what world.

(38:25):
I don't know if you give a manager a year
to somebody who didn't make the playoffs. But again, so
there's been plenty of times where that has happened, right.

Speaker 1 (38:32):
Right, So, rookie of the American League, Rookie of the year,
who you got.

Speaker 2 (38:40):
If he plays Jackson Holiday at Baltimore Orios again the
highest prospect, I think he's gonna match. He's looked great
in UH spring training. He has a chip on his shoulder. Man,
I think you could see that drive and the hunger
and in his his even just his swing. He wants
a spot on the team. And I think this year
will be like Bobby Witt or Julio Rodriguez. He's gonna
get the call up where we didn't know if he

(39:02):
was or not in those similar outcomes with Julio and
Bobby Waitt. And I think he has a monster year
at Swarts Top for sure.

Speaker 1 (39:09):
I can see it. I can see it because you
said Jackson Holiday, I had him wrote down, as well
as two other players. I couldn't make my mind up
it was one of three guys because you mentioned Jackson Holiday.
I think it's gonna be one of the two teammates,
Wyatt Langford or Evan Carter for the Texas Rangers that
you just mentioned. I think both young boys are amazing

(39:31):
baseball players. They're gonna both be on their rookie year.
I wouldn't be surprised if either one of the boys
down there and Dallas were winning Rookie of the Year.

Speaker 2 (39:43):
I agree, man, I agree again, that's they're good for sure.
They're gonna look great this year too. Yeah, I'm gonna
go with Jackson Holiday.

Speaker 1 (39:53):
Yeah. But so we got a couple of a couple
of awards that are non league specific. First, we've got
Executive of the Year. There's only one of those given
out for for both leagues. But uh only won an
MLB every year. And I think there's only one correct answer,
and I think that's Andrew Friedman of the Los Angeles Dodgers. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (40:17):
I agree.

Speaker 1 (40:18):
You show me somebody that had a better off season.

Speaker 2 (40:23):
I mean that he spent over a billion dollars.

Speaker 1 (40:26):
Yeah, yeah, you should. He should get it. He should
get it for that alone.

Speaker 2 (40:29):
I mean you can even say you can even if
if he wasn't there. You can throw in somebody like
the Kansas City Royals, or you can throw in even
Alexandrow anthropology, I can't say his last name.

Speaker 1 (40:41):
Yes, yeah, I think I could see Anthopolis winning it. Yep.
So the the other non league specific award, we have
his Most Outstanding d H and once again, I think
there's only one or i'd.

Speaker 2 (40:53):
Answer yes shoo Tony yeah all day every day.

Speaker 1 (40:59):
I mean even he's gonna hit seventy five home runs,
he's gonna have two hundred and eighty five RBIs I
mean come on, yeah, yeah, he's gonna have thirty five
people on base in front of him every time he
comes to bat.

Speaker 2 (41:17):
It's hard to really say, like argue something when you
just like there's nothing already. He's one of the best hitters. Yeah, yeah,
and he's getting paid like a freaking.

Speaker 1 (41:25):
He's probably gonna be the best two hole hitter in
baseball next year. He's always to man, he's always gonna
have Mokey on base in front of him. Sure, I mean, yes, great, Ready,
he's gonna make He's gonna make Mooky. He's gonna make
Mooky's life amazingly easy. All Mooky has to do is
draw a walker, hit a single, and he he gets
to walk around the basis. Oh, Tony gonna bring him

(41:47):
on home. But uh, that's gonna wrap up our MLB
twenty twenty four, Way too early award produce.

Speaker 2 (41:55):
We get too we get way too passionate about this man.
We like, I know, we were trying to get aim
for like roughly round like twenty thirty minutes. It feels
like we've said an hour.

Speaker 1 (42:03):
Yeah, we shot that by about twelve minutes or so.
But it's okay, you know, it's okay. So we're going
to transition into this NFL free agency period that we
just got into. I think we just completed the first
week of NFL free agency and there's no shortage of drama.

(42:25):
Like I told you, Gavin before we hit the go button,
I am using for any of our listeners that care
to look it up on their own. PFF twenty twenty
four NFL Free Agency Tracker. It gives you by position
the top dozen to top fifteen players that have been
signed and to what team and for, and that gives

(42:49):
you their contract, not the full details, but it gives
you the years and money amounts. Very good websites. So
if there's anybody that you were keeping your eyes on
this off season, or maybe you were just keeping your
out on a team, not necessarily players, and we don't
talk about your guy tonight, go look them up on
a PFF dot com and then twenty twenty four NFL

(43:12):
Free Agency tracker will most likely have you covered. If not, Gavin,
I know you have a site that you're looking at
as well.

Speaker 2 (43:19):
Yeah, so I know a lot of our listeners. If
you do use Instagram or Twitter or known as X,
I would recommend using JPA Football shout out to them
because they use Adam Shelter, Ian rapapart all these big
names for sources and they're at least I would say

(43:40):
ninety five to one accurate. They they're great. They use
uh there quick. On top of that, they're one of
the first three people that report it quickly, so you
have a good taste of, you know, getting that first person,
being the first person to know and all that. But
I mean, let's start off. I'm gonna think we should

(44:00):
talk about the first couple of signings starting in week one. Uh,
let's talk about Russell Wilson to the Steelers.

Speaker 1 (44:07):
Man.

Speaker 2 (44:08):
That from what I've looked at it, Okay, the Broncos
are paying Russell Wilson roughly around thirty six million dollars
this year because they taught him. That means that the
Steelers and they played it right. Omar Con did great
with this. They're only paying Russell Wilson one million dollars
like one point one point two yep, And I think

(44:28):
that this year that I mean, the Bears also just
traded to Pittsburgh Steelers for a sixth round pick. That's
a conditional if he plays over fifty one in twenty
twenty five, justin fields that that that pick will turn
into the fourth round pick. But man, Russell Wilson, I mean,
this guy looks very, very motivated to get on a

(44:50):
team with Mike Tomlin. I see Russell Wilson taking them
to pass the wildcard spot. I mean, they did lose
Deontay Johnson via trade. But man, don know, what are
your thoughts on Russell Wilson Tissuelers.

Speaker 1 (45:04):
I'm not sure what to believe really, because I've heard
conflicting reports. One that he's going to be the starter.
Another one saying is that he's not going to be
the starter, that Justin Fields is going to be the starter.
I heard that Justin Fields requested a trade specifically to

(45:24):
these stealers, which is why Bears didn't take some other
deals that were on the table. They chose to honor
Justin Fields wishes. I don't think it was a great trade,
to be honest with you, I don't really. I think
Justin Fields is a bona fide starter. They drug him

(45:47):
through the mud, They never gave him any help, They
misused him, and then when they finally get through their
little rebuild process they ship him out. He's not a
bad quarterback, they just didn't give him any help. Russell Wilson,
I'm not honestly sure if he has anything left in
the tank. Truthfully, I could see this being just as

(46:08):
bad as a Kenny Pickett Mason Rudolph situation.

Speaker 2 (46:13):
Speaking of Kenny Pickett, Yeah, Kenny Pickett was traded to
the Philadelphia Eagles for a It was a fifth and
a sixth round pick. Yeah, so I know you're not
feeling too good about it, but there has been plenty
of reports Kenny Pickett really didn't have a shot going
against Russell. That the Steelers were planning on focusing on Russell,
and I could see why because now they trade for

(46:35):
Justin Fields. I see Justin Fields sitting this year, And
the only reason why I say that is because you
have to also realize the Bears really treated him like crap,
and I think you give him that actual good veter presence.
I'm not somebody like with Kenny Pickett. He had Mitchell Trubisky,
who really wasn't what does he have? Okay, Russell Wilson
has been a nine time pole bowler, eight or nine,

(46:56):
I forgot what it was. One super Bowl content appearance
to Super Bowl appearances, and then he's won one again.
The list goes on for Russell Wilson, and I think
that Justin Fields isn't a great spot. I mean, I
see the Steelers picking up someone like Xavier Worthy or
Donnie Mitchell in the second round. Yeah, they're gonna get

(47:17):
themselves a wide receiver. I mean, hell, I don't think
it's true, but the Steelers might even trade for Justin Jefferson,
so I can see. I mean, I think that Justin Jefferson,
if he's gonna get traded anywhere. It's gonna go to
the Bengals. He can have that pair with Jamar Chase
Joe Burrow and have go back to LSU days.

Speaker 1 (47:36):
I got you so well, man, I just I really
hope they try to trade. Can you Pickett? I don't.
I don't ever want to see him ever behind center
for the Eagles unless it's like a three hundred and
fifty to seven ball game and like we can't lose it.

Speaker 2 (47:58):
Well, sticking on with the Philadelphia Eagles, my man, I
know you didn't really want him, but the Philadelphia Eagles
signed running back star Saquon Barkley to a three year
deal worth thirty seven point seventy five million dollars.

Speaker 1 (48:13):
It's a big move, man, something John mosey Lock doesn't
really do. Uh John mosey Lock, damn excuse me. He's
the uh general manager of the Saint Louis Cardinals, Howie Roseman,
and uh Jeff Leury, the owner of the Eagles. They
don't they don't pay running backs big money. So this

(48:35):
was a this was a very shocking, shocking move. Three
year deal with Saquon. It's I mean, they gave him
big money and more than one year, which is just
they just don't do that. I'm genuinely concerned if there's
tread left on them tires. That boy has been run

(48:55):
like an old nineteen twenties John Deere tractor. He has
been worked and worked and worked, and it started to
show because he was always hurt in New York.

Speaker 2 (49:07):
I'm gonna talk about this guy, Frank Slater, because I
think I'm talking. I want to stick with the running
backs for sure. This because it was the first like
big options that was amazing thing. I think because of
the way the Eagles offense are so Yes, they did
lose Jason Kelsey via retirement, but they still have their
old line is gonna be great. I think they even
get someone in the draft. They always do. We talked
about this later or earlier. You give it take that

(49:28):
they have Dallas Coder, aj Brown and Devonte Smith. It's
a past first offense, which gives realistically Saquon Barkley more
of a lead way to not use him as much,
which gives him more tread and more like stats up
if you really think about it, because he's gonna burst more.
I mean, the Eagles OH line was one of the

(49:50):
best old lines in the game. Last year. Yeah, and
we I think we can both agree that all lines
they make offenses, they make running backs and quarterbacks sometimes sure,
so well taking all the running back route. I hate
talking about this one, man. This one hurts so Derrick

(50:11):
Henry to the Ravens. It was a two year, eighteen
million dollar deal. Nine million dollars is guaranteed. I mean,
I'm not gonna really go much into this one. We
know Derrick Henry, he has Lamar Jackson's a Flowers, their
offense is great.

Speaker 1 (50:27):
They're gonna be two sucks year.

Speaker 2 (50:29):
It just sucks, man, because I ye, he always went
to the Texans.

Speaker 1 (50:33):
I think getting Tony Pollard in return, though, is well,
not in return is in a trade. But I think
getting Tony Pollard is pretty good. And I mean you're
only paying him a million dollars less than what you
would have been paying Derrick Henry, So I mean there's that.

Speaker 2 (50:50):
But yes, well here's the the NKA Young he's.

Speaker 1 (50:54):
A good runner. I see. I saw a lot of
Tony Pollard play ball at Memphis. He's he's pretty pretty
solid running back.

Speaker 2 (51:01):
So the situation is gonna be a little interesting. Okay,
A lot of people have forgotten about ty Je Spears,
who had a one over one thousand yards paired up
with Derrick Henry and a micro variable offense. I think
Tony Pollard's gonna be They're gonna it's not gonna be
like an actual RB one. It's gonna be a Packer
situation where they split carries between AJ Dillon and Aaron Jones.

Speaker 1 (51:22):
Sure.

Speaker 2 (51:23):
I think that the Tony Pollard gills great because it
was only a four million dollar cap hit. Most of
his money for this year and next year is a
center based and it's it's bonus money. So realistically, you're not, yes,
you're paying him eight million dollars a year because it
was a three year, twenty four million dollar deal. I
love it. I think Tony Pollard is a shifty running

(51:44):
back and not just a running back. He's a receiving
running back and a Brian Callahan offense. I see the
Titans using him as a receiver, you know, doing check
routes and him getting up the field for five yards
or ten yards. I love it, and I think that's
why having him with ty J. Spears it's right yep.

Speaker 1 (52:01):
Some of the other notable names to mention UH Packers
signed Josh Jacobs to a four year, forty eight million
dollar deal. Austin Eckler signs with the Washington Commanders two years,
eleven forty three million. Uh. DeAndre Swift goes to Chicago
for three years on a twenty four million dollar deal,

(52:22):
and uh, if I'm not mistaken, aj out really Yeah,
he re signed with the Packers for Okay, so I
was the last I had seen. He hadn't signed anywhere yet,
So he's going back to the cheese Land.

Speaker 2 (52:39):
Sticking with the running backs, Joe Mixon was traded to
the Houston Texans. Wow or a seventh round pick? Thank
a seven round pick? Yeah, so i'd a been good
for the Texans.

Speaker 1 (52:53):
That's huge.

Speaker 2 (52:55):
Yeah, it is. They gave up nothing for him and
they extended him to a three year, twenty forty dollars.
Of course, Zac Moss is going to the Cincinnati Bengals,
and that looks like that's really much it for running
backs are like really top teams I'm seeing on here?
Do you want get into wide receivers?

Speaker 1 (53:15):
Yeah, let's start with some wide receiver talk. T Higgins
of the Cincinnati Bengals was franchise tagged, but I highly
doubt he even makes it a third of the season
in Cincinnati, I see him getting traded. Michael Pittman Junior
resigned with the Colts three years, seventy million. Mister Mike

(53:37):
Evans resigned with the Buccaneers. Who's gonna be going back
to Tampa Bay with somebody we missed earlier? Baker, a
whole lot of Mayfield had re signed with Tampa three years,
one hundred million.

Speaker 2 (53:51):
So they just earned a bag.

Speaker 1 (53:53):
Tampa Bay just splick spent two hundred million right quick.
Marquise Hollywood Brown signed with the Kansas City Chiefs on
a one year, seven million dollar deal. Not too shabby.
Kansas City.

Speaker 2 (54:08):
He took, he took. He did take a shorter deal
and like a smaller deal to go win a ring
with Kansas City. I mean, good for Kansas City, man.
I was an option that I wanted the Titans to
go at. But I don't think because there's all the
franchise tags and resigning is the top wide receiver was
mister Indeed Calvin Ridley yep, and he signed with my

(54:30):
Tennessee Titans, baby four year, ninety two million dollar deal. Man.
I love that deal, man, how much? Why don't fifty,
so only a ten million dollar cap hit this year.
Ran Carthon and Brian Callahan have been cooking this offseason

(54:50):
with these cap pits. Here's the thing, Okay, I know
a lot of people have been talking about, well, why
can't you just pay aj Brown that money. I think
we both know different regimen, different coaching, different charspent all
that stuff. The reason why I think Calvin Ridley everyone's
saying he's washed, Well, everyone was wanting Calvin Ridley before
he went to the Titans, but because he went to
Titans is washed. I think the reason why I like

(55:12):
the Calvin really deal so much he got he had
two years off before he played with the Jacks. He
got injured in the first year, and then he had
a gambling, you know, suspension. Ridley is twenty nine right now.
That means he has twenty seven. He's really twenty seven
years old for his body. Because he took two years off,
he doesn't have that two seasons. And I again, I
just I think it's great. He's a wide receiver one

(55:32):
for the Titans and they got their their wide receiver.

Speaker 1 (55:34):
Man. Yeah, good move. Darnell Moody signs with the Atlanta
Falcons three years starty nine million, and Gabe Davis signs
with the Jacksonville Jaguars three years starting nine million. Still
plenty of wide receiver free agents out there that are
worth money, obj Tyler Boyd, Kurt dj Chart Junior, Michael Thomas,

(55:56):
Marquez Valdez, Scantling.

Speaker 2 (55:58):
Michael Williams today signed with the New York Jets, So
he's off the board. That was about a couple hours ago.

Speaker 1 (56:07):
Yeah, I mean, you got so many, so many uh
free agent wide receivers still on the market. But let's
let's slide on into let me not say that. Excuse me, lord,
Let's transition onto the tight ends and we can start

(56:28):
with mister Dalton Schultz resigning with the Houston Texas on
a three year, thirty six million dollar deal. Good deal,
You've got razorback legend Hunter Henry resigning with the Patriots
three years twenty seven million dollar deal, and Noah resigning
with the Seattle Seahawks two years twenty one million.

Speaker 2 (56:49):
It wasn't really a big tight end free agency like
for the class for free agency, again, a lot of
decent names. Just again I don't think really there was
really big name for the tight end position. Sure, but
good for all of them. I mean they still got
a lot of money. But let's get into some of
the quarterbacks that were in the draft class or the

(57:11):
free agency class. Joe Flacco is going to the Colts
for a one year deal up to eight point seven
million dollars. Okay, and then you have Josh Jacobs who
just recently signed. He's going to the San Francisco forty
Niners to be brock parties back up. Love that deal.
Let's see here, do you have any yourself? Oh? Yes,

(57:32):
Tyler Huntley backup for the Ravens is going on going
to the Cleveland Browns. A big year for people going
to division rivals. We talked about justin fields already.

Speaker 1 (57:44):
Yep.

Speaker 2 (57:45):
Again, it's just a lot of stuff. Who do you
think is really having one of the best off seasons
so far for this year?

Speaker 1 (57:52):
And I'm not just saying this because I'm a homer,
but I don't think you can look at the Eagles
offseason and say it's been anything short of what they
need to do. Brought in Brian Huff, Not Brian Huff,
where's his name? I just saw it, Bryce Huff, Bryce
Huff defensive end. They brought in Kenny Piggy, they brought

(58:13):
in Saquin, They brought in Devonte Parker, they brought in
a cup of the linebacker White, Gardner Johnson, they brought
c J. G J Back.

Speaker 2 (58:27):
I told you, I told you, man, I was like,
I really see that the Eagles. He might go back there, Like,
that's not me.

Speaker 1 (58:34):
Yeah. Orrin Burks is a linebacker that signed with the Eagles.
And where's his name?

Speaker 2 (58:43):
Oh?

Speaker 1 (58:44):
I just saw it. Oh, oh, pressure, you're killing me.
Devin White signed a one year deal with the Eagles,
So I think I think they've done quite a bit.
I need to see how their draft goes before I
start getting giddy. But I'm I'm between the free agency

(59:05):
re signing Brandon Graham and bringing in Vic Fangio is
the defensive coordinator, and bringing in kill A Morris offensive coordinator.
I think they've had an amazing, amazing offseason.

Speaker 2 (59:19):
Sure, I'm gonna go with Houston Texans. I'm gonna be man,
it sucks, but they've added so much. They got Ziza
Shied and he goo Autry, Mark kel Hunter from the Vikings.
I mean, the list goes on many they're still adding.
So br let's get into if you're down, let's get

(59:39):
into the fantasy baseball talk about our season so far,
Like we're gonna just got done with the draft last Saturday,
and let's go over the majority of the teams, and
I'm gonna give at least in my perspective, who I
think is gonna win the season and all that, who's
gonna take over the gold?

Speaker 1 (59:58):
Cool?

Speaker 2 (59:58):
Cool?

Speaker 1 (59:59):
So we had six we had six people joined end
up joining the league and Team Mahai Conspiracies from the
Mahai Conspiracies podcast had a really solid plan and executed
it pretty well. Uh. His team is as follow as

(01:00:21):
j T. Bro Muto for the catcher, Frederick Freeman at first,
Marcus Simi and at second, Gunner Henderson at third, Boba
Shid at short, outfield of Fernando Tatist, Junior Jordan Alvarez,
Christian Yelich, utility player Jose Altuve on the bitch. He's
got Christian Walker, Nico Horner, Christopher Morrell in his pitching arsenal.
He's gonna have starting pitchers George Kirby, Max Fried Racing, Rodriguez,

(01:00:46):
Pablo Lopez, Johann Duran, Freddie Peralta. And he only took
one relieve, Oh, Johandran's reliever, uh so Pablo Lopez, Freddie Parolta,
Max Freed, George Kirby and two relievers Johann Duran Rysseli.

Speaker 2 (01:01:00):
He did lose big on Johann Durant because he was
reported that he's going to miss majority of the season
this year with injury.

Speaker 1 (01:01:08):
Wow, well he should be able to move Johann Durant
onto the I L and picks.

Speaker 2 (01:01:15):
Let's talk about Kyle Kyle. Uh had an interesting Uh interesting?

Speaker 1 (01:01:21):
You got Kyle State pulled up?

Speaker 2 (01:01:23):
Yeah, but do so, mister Kyle, if you're listening to this,
I'm sure you are. What a great draft you had?
My man, you had william Is Wilson, Oh, my god,
William Terris, Ye, William Cheris, Cody Bellinger, Hassan Kim Austin
Riley shortstop, he at Tredy Turner autfield. He had Julio Rodriguez,

(01:01:43):
Kyle Tucker and uh Stephen Kwan with Manny Machado in
the utility spot. He has your boy Pyle Goldsman on
the bench with George Springier and Xander Bogarts for pitchers.
He has for starting pitching, he has Aaron Nola, Luis Castillo,
Blake's which we did tell him during that draft to
get Blake Snell, and he got Logan Gilbert and Justin

(01:02:05):
Steele and then for his relievers. He has a pretty
solidarly re line up with the millionum Class A and
familiar with the ball.

Speaker 1 (01:02:11):
Great draft Kyle and and ladies and gentleman. Kyle doesn't
know the first thing about baseball. Uh we he he
gave excuse me, he got very little advice on who
to draft when he did this all by his big
boy self. Love Kyle. He's just so your big boy,
and he's got a nasty team. Got a nasty team.

(01:02:35):
So that the next thing we're going to talk about
is from the K four v three podcast, Mister mister
Sack of Team Phil the burn. His His team is
as follows. Catcher Will Smith first base, metals and second base,
Mookie Betts third base, Jose Ramiris short stop, Dancey Sponsor

(01:02:56):
outfield Aaron Judge, Luis Robert Jr. Randy Rosarina utility player
of Alex Brigman on the bench, He's got Josh Lowe
and he's already got Corey Seeger on the ill his dang.

Speaker 2 (01:03:11):
Well, he's on the io what yeah, I guess so.

Speaker 1 (01:03:14):
And pitchers. He's got starting pictures of Spencer Strider, Logan Webb, Hunter, Green, Wow,
Merrill Kelly, and he has on the iel Garrett Cole
and Kevin Gossman. He's got relievers Edwin Diaz, Jordan Romano,
Clay Holmes. That's pretty so and Clay Holmes. I made

(01:03:37):
it sound like there was another player, but really solid team. Yeah,
he's got three players on the aisle between starters and pitchers.

Speaker 2 (01:03:46):
I just checked Corey Seeger's K four v three mister Zach.
Don't worry. He's thinking live battie practice this Monday, so
he should be Okay, Bron I'm gonna I think he's
might be a little late, but I think he'll be
there within the last two weeks of April.

Speaker 1 (01:03:59):
Sure, Cory's team and then we can yeah, I got it,
and then we can finish with our own team. So
Corey of the Case, Swags, Swatters and Spotters is his
team name. He's got catcher Logan o'happy, Pete Alonzo on first,

(01:04:22):
Jake Cronlworth on second, Raphael Devers on third, JP Crawford
at short, Corbyn Carroll in the outfield, Juan Soto in
the outfield, Kyle Schwaba, utility of Nick Castianos and riding
the Pine on the bench. He's got Matt McClain, Boyce Lewis,
and Cal the big dumper Riley in the bullpen and

(01:04:42):
starting rotation. He's gonna have starters of Glass now, Dylan Cees,
Chris Bassett, Cole Reagans and Chase Silseith, relievers of Paul Seawald,
Carlos Estevez, and both Cole Reagan's and Chase Silson start
listed as both starters and relievers.

Speaker 2 (01:05:02):
Bory's being big on the Angel players. I like the
lot got a hobby, but I remember in the draft
he took a Logan hobby for Ali Rudgman. So I
was like, oh, yeah, I'm gonna Do you want me
to do your team? I kinda want to. I ain't
get the chance to look at your team and give
it live breathe baseball.

Speaker 1 (01:05:20):
So I'll pull up your teams. So go ahead, mister.

Speaker 2 (01:05:22):
Kyle had the fourth overall pick. You have the fourth
pick in the draft. Uh sorry, Hank, sorry my person.

Speaker 1 (01:05:33):
Yeah, I had the.

Speaker 2 (01:05:36):
YEP, so you let's see you have for catcher for
mister Hank, he has Wilson Contres first base, Bryce Harper
second base, Aussie Albi's third base. He's riding with this
boy Nolan Arnado shorts up with Francisco Lindor and then
what they solid speedy outfield. He has mister Mike Trout,
adultest guard, Sia Michael Harris. He's going big with Cho

(01:05:58):
Tawi at the utility spot and writing his bench. He
has CJ. Adams, he has Nolan Jones, he has I
can't say his first name, and Andy Diaz, and then
he has Francisco Alvarez. Starting off with the pitching, he
went big with Corbyn Burns, George Uh. He had Ryan
Hessley Sony Gray who was injured by the way, and

(01:06:21):
then he has uh, let's see here, Joe Ryan from
the Minnesota Twins with relievers of Alex Diaz. No, Alexis Diaz,
excuse me, and then Josh Hater to end it off
in the bullpen. Kyle, my man, you went big and
you did it. Man, that's a good team. I can't lie,
but you're still gonna lose. But it's okay.

Speaker 1 (01:06:44):
Well, you know, I can only do what I can. Uh.
Our boy, Gavin over here had a pretty solid draft.
He's got athlete Richman Catcher, Vlad Junior at first, kettle
can of Corn Marte over on second, Elie De la
Cruz at third, Bobby Witt at shortstop, outfield of Ronald
Akuny and junior, Brian Reynolds, Seedi Moles utility player, oh

(01:07:08):
Neil Cruz. Just a filthy, filthy lineup riding the bench.
You've got Jackson Holiday, Sean Murphy, Lord Escuriel Junior and
your pitchers, sir, your pictures are starters, Zach Willin, Zach Wheeler,
Zach Gallin, Yoshinovo, Yamamoto, and Bobby Miller, with relievers of

(01:07:29):
David Bednar, Kinley Jansen and Ryan Presley. Solid solid team.

Speaker 2 (01:07:37):
I honestly, I think the top people that are gonna
top three is gonna be you probably mile high Conspiracies
and myself are top three routing off with Kyle at four,
k K four V Three at five, and Corey rounding
out six. And I think it's gonna be again anything
hap injuries can happen. And I get to say this

(01:07:59):
to y'all, but my gentleman made the odds forever be
in your favor.

Speaker 1 (01:08:04):
I just think that there's not a bad lineup in
the six teams. I think everybody has an argument of
why they should win it. I'm just hoping that I've
got a few key players.

Speaker 2 (01:08:16):
Right, you know, and everybody had a good draft for sure.

Speaker 1 (01:08:20):
Yeah, yeah, I feel like everybody was able to get
Tier one elite players, Tier two, tier three until you know,
they even get the drafts where you if you got
the thirtieth pick, you might not get a good player.

Speaker 2 (01:08:35):
Sure, So it's Kyle, I'm hat or sorry where Yeah?

Speaker 1 (01:08:52):
Sorry, Oh, it's all good day, trust me, I understand.
I understand that. Yeah, man, I appreciate you coming out

the draft, and uh we'll be leading getting more into
that on the NFL side, I'm gonna try to squeak

(01:09:34):

to start. Uh my, My Razorbacks baseball teams number one
in the nation balls, so I've got to talk.

Speaker 2 (01:09:46):

So I'm open gold balls.
