Speaker 1 (00:25):
Paul.
Speaker 2 (00:25):
Alrighty, ladies and gentlemen, welcome back to another episode of
the six four three Double Play. I am your host,
Taint the Taint. I got your co host, Chef Kyle
in the building. Good Friday to you, good sir, right
back at you. And we are joined this evening by
the wonderful town the owner, creator of the level playing
(00:48):
poem Instagram page, and the second place finisher in the
first running of the six four to three Fantasy Football League.
And I'm kind of mad as you're the one that
put me out. I finished third, and and gotta wonder
what happened that that playoff round or that championship round,
(01:09):
because you you handed me my butt rather handedly, severely, ultimately,
like just definitively. You beat me so bad in the
first week of our two week round that it didn't
matter what I did the second week. And it seems
like you just didn't set your lineup for the championship
round or something. And because Eric walked away with it,
(01:31):
and I was.
Speaker 1 (01:31):
Like, oh my god, I got I was awful. That
was painful. It was awful watching it. I could just
see his points going up and my points were just
for nothing. I could not buy a vowel.
Speaker 2 (01:45):
For a while, I was kind of worried about you.
Your team was doing so bad. I thought, well, maybe
something happened and she couldn't get to the league, like
she didn't set her lineup or something.
Speaker 1 (01:53):
I was like, all right, that's what it was. I
would go with that. More respectable, isn't it.
Speaker 3 (02:02):
Well, luckily, luckily, go ahead. Luckily. This year was kind
of a trial run. So as far as what do.
Speaker 2 (02:13):
You think about it this first year, man, because like
me and I've never done a fantasy football league before,
and I've definitely never been the commissioner before. It was
quite interesting.
Speaker 4 (02:24):
You know, I think you I think you did. I
think commissioner wise, I think you did a good job.
I think fantasy wise, you both smoked me. So I
had a blast. I love fantasy football. It when I
when I first started playing, which is probably I don't know,
twelve or thirteen years ago, I liked it because I
(02:46):
didn't know a whole lot about football. I just liked
I liked the Cowboys and that was it, and I
knew a few players. But once you play fantasy you
start paying attention to other players and other teams, and
you know me being a Cowboys fan, right, the Cowboys
have been asked for quite some time. So when I'm
watching my Sunday football or you know, Thursday Monday night,
(03:07):
and the Cowboys lose like they do, you know, I
can always fall back and find some inspiration to keep
going with my fantasy teams. So I'm like, you know what,
Cowboys suck. But on the other hand, I'm winning this round.
So yeah, it's fun man. I had a blast.
Speaker 1 (03:26):
Can you see this?
Speaker 3 (03:28):
How much it hat?
Speaker 2 (03:29):
Know?
Speaker 3 (03:29):
How much did Hank pay you? How much? How much
did Hank did Hank send you that shirt?
Speaker 1 (03:34):
You know what's funny? This was my dad's I grew
up in a die hard Redskins family and every Sunday,
you know, I used to do with that Eagles fan
that you just posted the guy where his house is
just covered with all the Eagles.
Speaker 2 (03:47):
Oh yeah, that was our home.
Speaker 1 (03:50):
I mean, it wasn't just a room. It wasn't just upstairs.
It wasn't just the daughter's room when she went away
to college. That was our house. Everything. We had a
bar downstairs and then have parties and it was it
was the best growing up with the Skins. And this
was right around when they were winning Super Bowls.
Speaker 2 (04:06):
That's amazing. That's amazing. I can't respect that was a
lot of fun.
Speaker 1 (04:13):
You for it, root for the Redskins. And then whoever
was playing Dallas?
Speaker 4 (04:19):
What wasn't I could be getting this wrong. Wasn't r
G three. Was he on the Redskins?
Speaker 2 (04:26):
Yep? Yeah, draft Yeah, and.
Speaker 4 (04:30):
That was it for him, right, He got injured and
that was it. He never popped back up again.
Speaker 1 (04:34):
I think he's sports casting or something like that. I
think he's out. He's doing the Tom Brady route.
Speaker 2 (04:40):
Now, okay, yeah, well, I mean had his entire game
r G three was built around the fact that he
was a mobile quarterback before it was cool to be
a mobile quarterback. I mean, don't get me wrong, he
had a bomb or but let's not forget the freaks
(05:01):
that he had in Baylor for those couple of years.
I mean, he had absolutely feed demons. And the Big
twelve isn't known for their defensive prowess. You know, you
had Mike Leach coach in Texas Tech and he you
you could see a Mike Leach game in the score
would be sixty three sixty. You know, no defense to
(05:25):
be found. Very aware, but all the offense you could handle.
So I mean, yeah he had he could throw the ball.
But RG three in college man so elusive. But he
took so many hits throughout his collegiate career that by
the time he got around some grown men that you
knew was that he wasn't the.
Speaker 1 (05:45):
Same Toddham, did you not see in the pocket that
was given a shout out to your Eagles, But Randall Cunningham,
he was the first one. They could not keep him
in the pocket. I mean he was out talking about
mobile quarterback. He was the best. He was really cool.
And we still like, guess we got mcnabbed from you
and he did nothing, nothing for us, And I was like,
(06:06):
this is going back. We were talking hockey before too.
But we got Yaramir Yagur from the Pittsburgh Penguins for
the Caps, and same thing as see as they can
they just die in DC. And then you get Kirk
Cousins and he goes to the Vikings and actually starts
playing some football.
Speaker 3 (06:23):
That's funny how that works when you think about it.
Speaker 4 (06:26):
I think a lot of it has to do with
just the dynamic of the team in general. And yeah, yeah,
but I also wonder like, you know, there there's gotta
be like, well, I think it's pretty apparent, but there's
gotta be like politics right in football, Like you have
(06:50):
players on opposite opposite teams that may get in a fight,
talk shit, whatever, and then like a year or two later,
they're on the same team together and it's like, well
that was that was awkward.
Speaker 1 (07:04):
They're out for blood, and then the next yeah, teammates Okay.
Speaker 4 (07:08):
I do think a lot of that has the factor
in like if you've had if you've had a particular
issue with this one one player, and then all of
a sudden, you know, after years or or possibly many
games of having problems with this guy, and now all
of a sudden, you're on the same team. I do
think as far as the dynamics go, I think that
that might interfere with things like that because you you
(07:31):
do have like certain people that do really well and
then they go to another team and they're like like
a nobody like I'm not going.
Speaker 3 (07:38):
To make excuses or say this is why. But like
Ezekiel Elliott was like he killed it, dude.
Speaker 4 (07:44):
The first couple of the first year or two he
was with the Dallas Cowboys, and then all of a sudden,
I don't know what happened there, does Bryant?
Speaker 3 (07:51):
I know Des Bryant left and then.
Speaker 4 (07:52):
Boom he chops over to the Patriots and he goes
back to the Cowboys and just absolute ass. I don't
know what's going on there, but yeah, it's just interesting.
It's interesting to look the marsh.
Speaker 1 (08:02):
One lunch, right. Do you remember when he wouldn't speak
to the press when for the That is funny. Yeah.
The difference now is that they used to stay with
the team forever, all of them, all the old players,
and see with the same team, there's loyalty. And now, man,
they're all over the place. I look at the beginning
of the season and like, are you kidding me? Because
a picture you know somebody, Well they have the Kansas
City Chiefs jersey before I think of them in different colors.
(08:25):
You know, it's like this, that doesn't look right. You know,
they're all.
Speaker 2 (08:28):
Over Yeah, I mean you got to think about it.
There's really only a handful of maybe two handfuls of
players left in the league today that were drafted that
still played for that same team.
Speaker 1 (08:40):
That's true.
Speaker 2 (08:42):
The Eagles still have a couple of those guys. Lane
Johnson's been there his entire career. Uh, Brandon Graham's been
there in his entire career. We just watched Jason Kelcey
retire at the end of last year, and he's the
greatest center to ever play the game. I don't care.
Speaker 1 (08:58):
That's after Jeff Bostak. Yeah, yeah, I'll give you.
Speaker 2 (09:00):
The okay, but you definitely don't see loyalty to an
organization anymore. Whatever reason.
Speaker 1 (09:13):
Yeah, as long as he was the Patriots. Then he
goes to Tampa Bay. I mean it was it was
what a even Montana when he was with the forty
nine ers and then he went to Kansas City and
it's like, ah even uh yeah, that's it's just so
hard watching him with the Packers with Brett Farv, you know,
(09:33):
and he's.
Speaker 2 (09:35):
You know, Manning ended up winning a Super Bowl with
the Broncos.
Speaker 1 (09:39):
Exactly, you can't do it with it. He got to
the Super Bowl with the Colts, right, but he didn't, uh.
Speaker 2 (09:43):
And think about some of the studs he was throwing to,
Marvin Harrison, Isaac Bruce, he was throwing to some monsters
in in Indianapolis.
Speaker 1 (09:54):
Yeah, that was good. M h.
Speaker 2 (09:59):
Old Peyton yeah, yeah, I'm.
Speaker 1 (10:02):
Really his younger brother who gets the two Super Bowl
and you know what, I think. I'm not sure it
was both times, but I know one time they did
is a wildcard and they went up against the Patriots
and won the super Bowl. And that's what the Skins
would be doing if as a wildcard champions just had
to throw it back to that.
Speaker 2 (10:22):
Well, well, I don't know if you saw the the
articles that I've seen, but I saw where some Redskins
fans this week have dressed Rocky up in some Red
Skins apparel. And there's one thing that you don't do,
(10:44):
and that's you don't you don't go to Philly and
you don't go full your team colors on the Rocky statue.
It's never ended well for anything that's ever done.
Speaker 1 (10:54):
That's no what it's I gotta tell you firsthand. We
went up to it was I told his for the
old Veteran Stadium. We went to a Skins game up there,
and we covered up anything burgundy and gold. As soon
as we got up there, those fans were brutal, and
so we were just like, yeah, yeah.
Speaker 2 (11:25):
Yeah, I'm really looking. I don't know about you, but
I'm really looking forward to the game Sunday.
Speaker 1 (11:30):
It's a great game. It's gonna be so good. I know,
I saw the point spread. I think it's four and
a half points for the Eagles, but.
Speaker 2 (11:37):
But we've already dropped. It was just six and a
half points yesterday.
Speaker 1 (11:42):
Good, We'll keep going. We got a couple more days,
dropping a few more.
Speaker 2 (11:45):
That just means more people are throwing money at the
at the Redskins to win. Let's see what ESPN has the.
Speaker 3 (11:57):
Is that is?
Speaker 2 (11:58):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (11:58):
Is that what the spread is?
Speaker 1 (12:01):
It was four and a half.
Speaker 2 (12:02):
Now I've still got it as a six point spread.
Speaker 3 (12:07):
Okay, So is that is that all based off of?
Is the spread?
Speaker 4 (12:13):
The way that Vegas does that is that based off
of how many people are placing bets? So if more
people okay, so that that is in fact how the
spread goes. The more people that have this team in favor,
then like what exactly does that look like?
Speaker 2 (12:34):
And so like if the Eagles would have had the
spread with six and a half, Eagles under six and
a half, that means that the betting is heavily favored
on the Eagles winning. Okay, yeah, okay, the spread was
like a one or two or even a watch zero.
(12:55):
That means that the betting occurring is virtually even between okay, folks,
it's a fifty to fifty, and then if the spread
favored Washington, then it would mean that folks are betting
on Washington to win more than their betting on the
Eagles to win. Okay, Okay.
Speaker 4 (13:15):
I've always kind of wondered how that worked because I
always thought there was like a little man in the background.
Speaker 2 (13:21):
I don't think the.
Speaker 1 (13:22):
Most life a little nerds.
Speaker 3 (13:25):
Yeah, yes, that's exactly how I thought that went.
Speaker 2 (13:28):
Different, Like, I don't I don't quite understand them, like
how the money line set, but I'm pretty sure it's
not influenced by the amount of fits.
Speaker 4 (13:38):
Like money line is pretty much straight up, dude. It's
like you're gonna win or you're gonna lose. It that
you could win by three, you can win by six,
you can win by twenty one. It doesn't matter. As
long as you win, you win. I believe that's kind
of how the money line goes. I'm not an expert
on that.
Speaker 2 (13:55):
I don't gamble so other than.
Speaker 3 (13:59):
Baseball cards and okay, oh, I get.
Speaker 1 (14:04):
Speaking of one of our fellow fantasy football lead people,
Have you seen these? Have you seen what James is
doing plunder World?
Speaker 5 (14:19):
Oh ye, god, you got the got it.
Speaker 4 (14:22):
I'm ordering, I'm ordering to night to night beautiful.
Speaker 1 (14:28):
You would You're not gonna believe it. They are gorgeous,
they are thick, they're glossy, and anybody who's into any
of the conspiracy stuff, this is gonna blow your mind.
There's so much stuff that I had no idea, and
I thought I was pretty deep into this stuff, and uh,
it's gorgeous. It's if they're two hundred and seventy nine cards.
I feel like I'm doing a commercial. You're welcome, teams,
(14:50):
but these are beautiful. And then he's got some some
some extra cars. You got some prototypes, and he's got
some but they are the he's got but gold and
silver and black on the borders. And so here's a
I don't know if you can see that. There's gold
(15:11):
and I got silver and black. But these it goes
deep down the rabbit holes. It is fun, so excited.
That's really Plunderworld. Plunderworld dot com.
Speaker 2 (15:28):
You know what, just because you're shouting him out, We're
gonna change the ticker. If you want to go get
your series one plunder World Trading Cards. You can go
to ww dot plunderworld dot com.
Speaker 1 (15:46):
Yes, look at that sweet Well, if they are incredible,
they really are worth it though, because they are. They
come in seven pack sets packs of seven cards, and
they're like the old playing card. And he was asking
he had another one that was like the prototypes, a
little bit bigger and thicker, and I thought it was
two of them. I'm trying to separate them, and I'm thinking,
(16:07):
how are those going to work in bicycle spokes? Right?
Speaker 2 (16:11):
Do you remember that? Ah, let's go.
Speaker 3 (16:15):
It was I think it was playing cards, right?
Speaker 4 (16:17):
And then another if for whatever reason, you didn't have
playing cards, if you if you got a beer soda
can go to If you get right and get that right,
you're just like, yeah, you're you're, you're hey, it did.
Speaker 2 (16:33):
And you had to be careful because if you get
if you wore that kan out and and it cut
the wrong way and slash your.
Speaker 1 (16:40):
Tire or your leg.
Speaker 4 (16:44):
What I do know is it did increase the horse
power just a little bit. I don't care what anybody says,
but it did increase the horse power.
Speaker 1 (16:52):
Yeah, did you guys make jumps the ramps and you
have those jumps, and he's got some that are like
a shiny foil. I don't know if you see they're
almost like holographic. Not really, but.
Speaker 2 (17:09):
Is it? Are?
Speaker 4 (17:10):
They ran like random as far as like your gold,
your silvers, your shinies.
Speaker 1 (17:15):
I went through all of them. He's got one for
each color. So he's got so I had two of
I had like a silver and a black, and then
there's the same for the same one, Like who is
this one just random? Let's see, uh a fun one.
There's a fun one. They're all like kind of scary
(17:36):
and there let's see something fun. Who who takeover? So
I've got one silver, whe in black, so I need
one in gold. So I think that's kind of it
for the trading gate trading cards. And then sometimes I
have two silvers, so you've got one to trade. But
(17:56):
they're two hundred and seventy nine cards. They're ninety subjects
and they have out there and then there's one for
each of the colors. So it's definitely worth it. I mean, look,
let me, I mean, this is one pile. I went
through all of them last night. I was so excited.
We just got him yesterday. This is one pile and
can you see where am I.
Speaker 2 (18:14):
There?
Speaker 1 (18:15):
So there are two piles like that, and I went
to I sorted them all last night. I was so excited.
So that's a.
Speaker 2 (18:23):
Look about like me with just random.
Speaker 3 (18:27):
We go.
Speaker 1 (18:28):
Yet I have so many.
Speaker 2 (18:33):
Like you were saying. I was listening to Paranoid Radio
shout out Trebles Garcia five stars, a rate like and
review on Apple podcast. I can't do it like him.
He's so good with that little he has. It's so
on point. I just shout out, Trebles Garcia, we love you.
Speaker 1 (18:49):
Baby, you love you.
Speaker 2 (18:53):
But he was he just had James and he was
saying that like you were saying. There's ninety different subjects
throughout the series one set and for every subject there's
three cards and each card has different information on it
and you have to like collect all of the cards
(19:14):
to have all of the information. And I just I
think it's so cool. I can't wait.
Speaker 1 (19:20):
I know, I'm excited when other people get them too,
because then I can trade with you because I'm missing
like a gold of one and I need a silver
of another one or something.
Speaker 4 (19:29):
Absolutely well, we'll be doing that very shortly because I'm
currently talking to James and Hank and I are about
to be receiving both a box.
Speaker 3 (19:42):
It's nice.
Speaker 1 (19:44):
It's really well done. Got you so well done? Yeah,
thanks James. Those are great. Those are incredible.
Speaker 4 (19:50):
Speaking of cards, have you showed uh, Hank has a
prize possession of his Has he showed you his prize possession?
Speaker 1 (19:57):
And yeah, I'm a married woman, remembers, so I'm happily married.
So okay, now, no, a Mickey Mantle. Are you kidding me?
Speaker 2 (20:11):
It's not a rookie? But that is his autograph? No way, yes, ma'am.
Speaker 1 (20:17):
Yes, how in the world. I can't even imagine what
that would be were today. Oh my gosh, I.
Speaker 2 (20:23):
Can probably if I wanted to sell it, I could
probably get a couple of grand from it. But I
inherited it from my uncle, so that's going to stay
in the family. Like that's gonna be one of the
pieces I've put in my wheel light. You're not You're
not allowed to sell this if you if you think
about selling this, just dig me up and stick it
in there with me.
Speaker 1 (20:44):
Killing me. You're killing me here, I do have Speaking
of price possessions and autographs, I have a couple of
autograph pictures. Can I show those from the good old days.
This is the way back. This is uh, this is
the way back. I'm going to kind of be dating myself,
but still die hard.
Speaker 2 (21:05):
I've got some autographs of some gentlemen you will be
seeing Sunday.
Speaker 1 (21:09):
Oh how did you get those?
Speaker 5 (21:11):
Oh?
Speaker 2 (21:11):
I collect I collect Eagles cards. So I started with
collecting baseball cards.
Speaker 1 (21:18):
Okay, yep, but.
Speaker 2 (21:21):
Once I I just I like, I don't collect football
cards in maths. I just collect Eagles cards. And so
I'll just go autograph hunting if I can find them
cheap enough, because I refuse to spend a lot of
money on cards.
Speaker 1 (21:37):
Can you see those? Can you see my screen?
Speaker 2 (21:41):
Oh that's so cool, Yes, ma'am.
Speaker 1 (21:44):
They're really old news. I had them up so they're
kind of faded. But that's Darryl Green. Remember twenty eight
do you remember?
Speaker 3 (21:52):
No, ma'am, I would be lying.
Speaker 1 (21:55):
Okay, he's uh, this is, oh my gosh, the line.
But Daryl Green for the skin, and they have a
route twenty eight out here in Virginia, and so it's
called Darryl Green Boulevard, Daryl Green Highway something like that.
So I thought that was pretty full. Twenty eight for
twenty eight under Collins Tim Johnson. He was awesome. So
this is the way back machine, guys, Joe this, I mean,
(22:18):
you got to know thisman, right, I know. And that
was against the Giants when you Taylor Lawrence Taylor lt.
And my husband's a Giants fan, so that was a
big Todd Bowles.
Speaker 2 (22:32):
Look at this, I know, yees.
Speaker 1 (22:35):
From Tampa Bay the head coach. Now is that crazy?
Speaker 2 (22:41):
Wow?
Speaker 1 (22:42):
Is that awesome? Monny Coleman. And then this was at
the game. So we had mezzanine seat tickets. So my
grandparents had season tickets and so we get to go
to a couple of three four a year and it
was just the best. We were just all diehard Skins fans.
The people in front where I don't know if I
any shake faces, but these that was our orthodontist. They
(23:04):
went to the But that's me. That's my brother right here, Dave.
And then we're looking at this. We're looking over the
balcony and they I don't know if you can see
this antenna. I don't know if you're going to recognize this.
That's to a television. It was like a little four
by four inch television, so we could watch the instant
replays at the game, and they had plugs here so
(23:25):
we can put blankets. I think you can kind of
see that she's got a blanket covering. But we could
plug in electric blankets, so when it was freezing in
DC at r f K, we could have blankets on.
So that is wild and we were covered. Yeah, this
is at RFK and they're talking about possibly bringing it back.
So that's that's me, that's my brother. And then this
(23:47):
was with the hog Ats. I don't know if you
remember that and my mom, what's up?
Speaker 3 (23:53):
My?
Speaker 1 (23:55):
So that was that and then do you uh, last
year later, but we went to Oh my gosh, this
is It was an old timers game and it was
football class that. It was the old Cowboys, it was
Danny White, it was Roger Staubach. Do you remember that
at all? Doesn't he?
Speaker 4 (24:12):
I was twenty days old right then and there twenty
days old jin third.
Speaker 1 (24:20):
That was it.
Speaker 2 (24:21):
H that's yeah, but it was lost was still three
months out, Kyle.
Speaker 1 (24:29):
It was like a flag football game and there was
all the old guys. This you're not gonna believe. Look
at the price of the tickets.
Speaker 6 (24:35):
And if I get over, oh my lord, twenty five dollars.
Speaker 2 (24:40):
What fifty bones to get in the game? Are you
kidding me? I would say that heartbeat the disrespect. They're
thirty dollars to see the Eagles.
Speaker 1 (24:52):
These were the season tickets here, so we were in
the mezzanine. Twenty bucks for season tickets up there. And
then this was when we went to the Super Bowl,
and this is when we wrote the NFC Championship. Is
when we played Dallas And if you don't mind, I
have a clip of when this when we're at r
(25:13):
K and they were the stands. Have you heard about
that when the stands were shaking? H This was that game.
I was at that game and I was looking down.
I could see that it was so cool. And then yeah, giants,
this is when we went to Better in Stadium the Eagles.
Speaker 2 (25:27):
I just had a really blonde moment, not even gonna lie.
I was gonna ask you, why the hell does that
ticket say Saint Louis Cardinals And oh yeah, hey, oh yeah,
the Cardinals used to be in uh Saint Louis Cardinals
(25:51):
Cardinals had.
Speaker 1 (25:55):
Did you know that? They used to be in the
NFC East with us? There were five teams.
Speaker 2 (26:00):
That's cool.
Speaker 1 (26:01):
That was the Cardinals. Yeah, can I show you one
more thing with the video from that from this game?
Speaker 2 (26:07):
Sure, you show whatever.
Speaker 1 (26:10):
This is just that. This was from that game for
the break before we went to the super Bowl. See
super Bowl seven was with Billy Kilmer, who was number seventeen,
and then super Bowl seventeen was Joe Fis, the man
who was wearing number seven. Is that cool? We lost
to Miami the first one, but we won the second. Okay.
So it's the very beginning and you can see the
stands shaking. This is for Kyle, remember Joe Gibbs.
Speaker 3 (26:38):
No, but this is great. Hang on to the Redskins.
Speaker 2 (26:45):
Let's go.
Speaker 1 (26:47):
That's right. Oh is that the end? I missing? Okay,
here's the beginning. It's right at the beginning. We want
Dallas seeing that. Can you see the stands.
Speaker 7 (26:57):
Yeah, they're shaking, Kyle, watch again, Thank you, Tam, thank you.
Speaker 3 (27:08):
Oh and they went on incredible. That's incredible. So yeah,
we got to the Redskins won. You said the Redskins
won that?
Speaker 1 (27:19):
What's that?
Speaker 3 (27:20):
The Redskins won that that that game.
Speaker 1 (27:23):
There wasn't one NFC championship against Ellis that game. There
was electricity in the air. I remember you were talking
about going to the hockey games.
Speaker 2 (27:31):
And you can Yeah, yeah, it was.
Speaker 1 (27:33):
You could feel it, it was palatable, it was the
best experience. The whole whole stadium was electrified. It was
just so incredible. Then they went on to the Super Bowl,
and then they won the Super Bowl. So that's what
we were kind of feeling now, kind of the momentum
on the momentum with Jim Daniels, and.
Speaker 4 (27:54):
Well, I'm I'm hoping to get that same feeling this Sunday.
That's what I'm hoping for, and I'm kind of it's
already starting to teing now, So I think we're in
for a good matchup.
Speaker 1 (28:05):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (28:05):
Well, man, as long as we're talking about feelings. You know,
I remember back in twenty seventeen watching what I thought
was one of the greatest, at least offenses I've seen
in a long time with the Eagles. He had le
Garrett Blunt and Jaya Jai. You had you still had
uh trade the you know, the the infamous team that
(28:29):
went on to win Super Bowl two.
Speaker 1 (28:35):
Oh, he's bringing show and tell also, huh.
Speaker 2 (28:38):
So I remember watching watching throughout that season and there
wasn't many games where I was like, man, this team sucks.
You know, that was a good team and this year
the Eagles have just been amazing. And it's been not
every game has been pretty and I mean they've lost
(28:59):
four games cool, but overall, what we just witnessed Saquon Barkley,
dude's absolutely beautiful. You finally got this dude from a
scrub organization. Sorry, mister Shitvy, I don't know if you're
still listening, but you finally saved this man from the
(29:23):
basement of the nssees, put him on a competent team
with one of the best offensive lines in NFL. In
the NFL, and what does he do? Goes out there
and would have, without a doubt, broke Eric Dickerson single
season record and he he did it in more games,
(29:45):
he did it in less carries. Like I was, just
had some stats for the game tomorrow and like AJ
Brown and Scary Terry are the two number one receivers
that'll be going at it for Sunday.
Speaker 1 (30:00):
Now. Scary has like he got he got hurt at
the game.
Speaker 2 (30:04):
I mean he'll be on the field. Yeah, he'll be
on the Terry McLaurin has like ninety ninety seven receptions
for one thousand, almost eleven hundred yards, thirteen touchdowns.
Speaker 1 (30:20):
I think it's been awesome.
Speaker 2 (30:23):
AJ Brown has like sixty three receptions for almost eleven
hundred yards, and yeah, he's only got seven touchdowns. But
when you've got Jalen Hurts who has sixteen rushing touchdowns
AND's got thirteen, you know there's not many opportunities. But
the fact that he has just as many yards is scary.
(30:44):
Terry won almost thirty less receptions. That speaks a lot. Yeah,
about the player that Aj Brown is. That speaks a
lot about the player that Jalen Hurts is. Is that
even when he's not throwing it that much, he still
has a thousand yard receivers.
Speaker 1 (31:01):
So, so, how many bowls have you guys gone to?
Speaker 2 (31:05):
We've gone to? There was okay, so the Chiefs we
lost to be Patriots, and then it had been a while.
It had been been a long while. It's been in
since like MG, now, I think, yeah, he was awesome. Campbell.
(31:28):
That was our first champion or our first super Bowl.
They had won championships, but it was pre NFL Super
Bowl era, so that was number one. Like folks were saying,
act like you've been here before. Motherfucker, we hadn't we had.
You're gonna have to forgive us on this one. We
(31:48):
get a pass. Jason Kelsey delivered probably the most epic
speech of the humanity's existence his his his Super Bowl
victory speech on parade day in the in the in
the suit was the greatest thing I've ever witnessed in
my life.
Speaker 1 (32:06):
May have missed that one. I don't remember that.
Speaker 2 (32:10):
Do I need? I can pull it up for you
if you would need, if you But ultimately, I think
what we're gonna have is a really good game Sunday,
because it's hard for any team to play any other
team three times in one year.
Speaker 1 (32:32):
And yes, Chiefs and the Bills are going to be
that's gonna be good. I can't wait to.
Speaker 2 (32:35):
Step say damn. So I think y'all might be a
little begetted on this one. You might, you might be,
you might be?
Speaker 1 (32:50):
Have you when are we never beheaded about?
Speaker 2 (32:55):
You'll barely be. I mean, if Jalen Hurts played the
second game, it's not a question. Y'all barely beat Tanner
McKee and can you Pickett? Right? So?
Speaker 3 (33:15):
So who do we Okay? So as far as that
is a million.
Speaker 1 (33:22):
So how many Super Bowls did you win? Of the
ones that let's see, we won three of the five
that we've.
Speaker 2 (33:28):
Got, We've got one, I've got.
Speaker 3 (33:32):
I'll go last.
Speaker 2 (33:33):
I will say, Yeah, at least I can watch mine
on d v R. Like, I ain't gotta dig out
the VCR over here. I got go to Instagram and
watch mine.
Speaker 8 (33:45):
Super Bowl victory, speaking wave as his mom for the
projector's screens, the switch, and then you hear the wheel wearing.
Speaker 1 (34:00):
Did you say VHS. That's hilarious.
Speaker 2 (34:05):
He's trying to go ask his kindergarten teacher for the
for the wheel, the projector that they wheeled into the classroom.
Speaker 1 (34:12):
Oh no, you don't even remember that. Yeah, that was
awful at the end when it was start flipping.
Speaker 2 (34:19):
Man, I'm from Arkansas. We technology reaches us real later
than the rest of the world. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (34:28):
I was like, hey, don't you remember that?
Speaker 4 (34:29):
And he's like, no, Man, I think that happened like
four years after when you're talking.
Speaker 3 (34:33):
Because we're in California. We set the trends.
Speaker 2 (34:38):
Ship you not. I was a I was an eleventh
grader in like two thousand and six, two thousand and
seven playing Oregon trail in study Hall.
Speaker 1 (34:49):
Oh, he's not the one where they go off the cliff.
Have you seen that? When the wagon goes off the cliff.
They're trying to make it happen and it's hilarious.
Speaker 4 (35:01):
No, But you know what's really cool that they do
have and you could buy them. That's like twenty bucks.
It's the size of a credit card. It's a little thicker,
but it can fit. It can more than likely fit
in your wallet. And it's got the entire old school
organ trail. It's like this big and you flip a
little knob and you could play organ trail.
Speaker 3 (35:21):
They got organ Trail, pac Man.
Speaker 4 (35:24):
They have a few others, but organ trail is the
best one because that's the one where you can, like,
you got to make some decisions, you know, Yeah, you
gotta make decisions.
Speaker 2 (35:33):
Do you remember make it across the river.
Speaker 1 (35:37):
There was a little green football game that we used
to play, little plastic green thing had little red dashes
and get first down, first down down. That was awful,
just little little red little dashes and you're watching, Yeah.
Speaker 2 (35:54):
So that was a big.
Speaker 3 (35:57):
You can still get those the game, I'm sure you can.
Speaker 1 (36:01):
That was hilarious.
Speaker 2 (36:02):
It was like you found those in your stocking on Christmas?
Speaker 1 (36:04):
Or do you remember the little do they still do
the football with the paper when you like folded up
into the triangle and you're flipping into a field goal and.
Speaker 2 (36:14):
Only only the only the little badass kids still do that, and.
Speaker 1 (36:19):
You're checking the end of the table and you're checking.
It's like, ah, anything over? Is it over? Is it?
Did it break the plane? Yeah?
Speaker 2 (36:27):
I want to say we were the last generation of
kids that really did that on a regular basis.
Speaker 4 (36:34):
Yeah, yeah, yep, I remember.
Speaker 2 (36:39):
That an earthquake in New Orleans. It's Katrina.
Speaker 1 (36:48):
Let's see, like the what was the division playoff that
we hit the upright and it went in for a win? So, oh,
y'all did do it?
Speaker 2 (36:57):
Hey? And what was that? Twenty twenty eighteen or twenty nineteen?
The Eagles only made the playoffs because the Bears double
dooint for a loss. They kicked the they attempted a
walk off field goal and it double dooinked out.
Speaker 4 (37:17):
Oh my gosh, that's the Can you imagine the playoffs?
Speaker 2 (37:20):
Yeah, we were an ass team that year. We were
like eight to nine that year, but we made the
playoffs because the Bears lost on a walk off attempt
that double joinked out. It hit the upright, hit the
crossbar and fell to the ground. It was the greatest feeling.
It the worst team to never make it, to ever
make the playoffs.
Speaker 3 (37:41):
Wasn't there no go ahead? Tam You're getting? Wasn't there
a team I'm gonna?
Speaker 2 (37:52):
I might get it?
Speaker 4 (37:53):
It's either the uh, the Bengals or the Browns. I
want to say. A few years back they had had
like the worst record, and there was a bar. I
forgot where the bar was, but it had a big
refrigerator full of beer. And if the whatever is is
it was either the Bengals or the Browns, I believe.
(38:14):
And if they won, this chain of bars all around,
this ice chest of beer would automatically open. They essentially
got so desperate that they were willing to hand out.
Speaker 3 (38:29):
Yeah, it was a thing. It was a thing. There
was a chain of bars.
Speaker 1 (38:33):
Bernie Cozo was the last time they were good that
the Browns were good. And they had Andy Dalton. I
know he was good for the Bengals, but I don't
I can't think of anyone else good for the Browns.
Baker Mayfield, you know, more recently, but he just moved
to where's he He's in California or something.
Speaker 2 (38:55):
Redskins just beat them in the playoffs in the in
the wild card round.
Speaker 1 (39:00):
Yes, we did. That was when I saw Todd Bowles.
It was like, sorry, but that's right, that's all right,
that's all right. That was cool. The one that you had.
We were just talking about the Bears. The reason they
named him the Bears was because the what you just posted, because.
Speaker 2 (39:14):
The Chicago Cubs were in town, and and they wanted
a football team, so they said, well, we're the If
you're the Cubs, well we're the Bears.
Speaker 1 (39:22):
Do you remember do you remember the I don't know
if the Bears, I don't know if you remember this,
but when they went to the Super Bowl and Refrigerator Perry,
Walter Payton, Jim McMahon, do you remember all that when
you had the.
Speaker 2 (39:38):
Five Seasons?
Speaker 1 (39:40):
Was? Yes, it was, but it was it was such
a big the Super Bowl showfle it was everybody was
in on that.
Speaker 2 (39:48):
That was they had. They had a rap album, didn't
They were like a single on.
Speaker 1 (39:55):
Perry was Yeah, he was hilarious and.
Speaker 2 (39:58):
O on that thing, wouldn't he?
Speaker 1 (40:01):
Yeah? I think he was before I think he was earlier,
I think, so that was even before my time, so
I can. But that was have you guys. Have you
guys been to the Hall of Fame?
Speaker 2 (40:14):
I have not, but hopefully I will be able to
get up there one day. I really really do. I
I got to go to Canton and I gotta go
to Cooperstown.
Speaker 1 (40:25):
What basketball?
Speaker 5 (40:28):
Oh yeah, that's the show for you ladies, if you
get a chance.
Speaker 1 (40:43):
I went in twenty ten and it was for for
the Skins. It was Rustaurant, so that was the main
reason we went. Emmett Smith, Kyle, Emmett Smith, and Jerry
Rice were inducted.
Speaker 3 (40:55):
In Shout Out the Best.
Speaker 1 (40:58):
It was awesome. And then they had the Hall of
Fame game was the Cowboys and the Bengals, but it
was what does it be there to see the Hogets?
We're there, so we got to meet some of the Hogets.
And to get to go to go during the Hall
of Fame week is the best because they've got gift tends,
they've got everything everything you could ever possibly want, and
(41:20):
they had like special dinners. You get to meet the players,
you get to it is huge. It is like so
much fun. If you get a chance to do it.
There's nothing better. And they've got packets and they take
care of everything. Oh that looks like our kittie. We
have a kitty like that.
Speaker 3 (41:37):
This yeah, oh, Blaze in the house.
Speaker 4 (41:40):
Uh the official mascot of the six four to three
Double Play podcast if oh uh yeah massive, and I'm
gonna forget this lad's name Luna Luna O.
Speaker 2 (41:59):
Fuck I was the other cat. I'm close a.
Speaker 3 (42:05):
Just saying, just saying, yeah, we got who do you
got over there? Tam? Who are you working with over there?
Speaker 2 (42:10):
Tam?
Speaker 1 (42:12):
We have two little girl rescues. We have Smith and Wesson.
Speaker 4 (42:18):
AKA don't try breaking into their house.
Speaker 1 (42:23):
No, oh no, no, they're they're good family, but you
will not. Here's can be pretty girl, right and the
pretty girl. And then we've got a we have a
twin because we have a match.
Speaker 3 (42:46):
Yes you do.
Speaker 1 (42:48):
That's too funny.
Speaker 3 (42:51):
I'm yeah. On my end, I'm a little bit overloaded.
Speaker 4 (42:55):
I may or may not have way too many animals,
way too many.
Speaker 3 (43:00):
I got five cats.
Speaker 4 (43:02):
I have five cats, I have three dogs, and I
have our new bunny, Lucky.
Speaker 3 (43:08):
That is yeah, yeah.
Speaker 4 (43:12):
Yeah, it's it's a little much. It's a little much.
But my bunny I'm not gonna lie. My bunny is
is a g dude, This is a uh we read.
So what ends up happening with with litters of bunnies
is they have a lot and there's a lot in
the litter and the males.
Speaker 3 (43:33):
Will eat the babies.
Speaker 4 (43:36):
So we went in there, I don't know, like two
or three weeks ago and there's just one baby bunny.
So that was like the only baby bunny that survived
out of the litter that got eaten. So yeah, we
brought them over to my house. My mom's got the
kennel over at her house, and now do this bunny, dude.
I've honestly, I've had a pet bunny before, and I
think most people get a pet bunny and they put
(43:58):
it in a cage, they put it outside and it's like, oh,
oh that's cute, and they handed some carrots here and there.
This bunny like sleeps with me. And the personal I'm
not even kidding you, dude, the personality of a bunny,
if you put in the time and the effort, it'll
blow your mind. They because you think of like dogs, right,
dogs are super super smart.
Speaker 3 (44:20):
Then you got cats. Cats are smart too, but cats
don't really give a fuck what they do.
Speaker 4 (44:24):
What the fuck they want? What excuse my language, They
do what they want when they want. They just kind
of roam about. And then you think of a bunny
and you're like, it's just a bunny, Like, you know,
the brain's got to be really small on it.
Speaker 3 (44:36):
It can't really have its own personality.
Speaker 4 (44:39):
And boyl boy, was have I been shocked the last
couple of weeks because this bunny's got a personality And
the cool thing about it when it poops, which is
just randomly.
Speaker 3 (44:47):
They're a little hard, little pellets.
Speaker 4 (44:49):
It's not like a nasty it's nothing, dude, And it
smells like, hey, hey, I live on a I live
on a farm, so hey to me is like, ah,
no big deal.
Speaker 3 (45:00):
Anyhow sounds like what do you do.
Speaker 1 (45:02):
Like behind the ears or something? I mean, what do
they what do they like?
Speaker 4 (45:07):
Yeah, I'll I'll just the ears kind of fold It's
weird that they kind of fold up, so I just
get my finger between the ears and its kind of rub.
We don't know if it's a boy or girl. They're
they're very hard to sex. My fiance thinks she's got
it down. She's convinced it's a female. So yeah, her
name is Lucky and she is awesome and the coolest,
(45:29):
probably one of my favorite out of all of my
all of my critters, my rescued critters, all of them
are rescues.
Speaker 3 (45:37):
Yeah, pretty wild, pretty wild to hm. No, you're good.
Speaker 2 (45:46):
I wasn't gonna say nothing important.
Speaker 1 (45:49):
Oh we've got the one cat. We got three dogs,
and then we have the three horses. So we're used
to that hayesnel two. That's awesome.
Speaker 4 (45:58):
You got the teft, you got the hay and got
it and got it. I'm picking up what you're putting down.
Speaker 2 (46:04):
I love. For a while, my dad and his wife,
they had a couple of horses that they weren't their horses,
but they tended to them. They had They lived on
a right next to a pasture, so they sat there
and would always take care of the horses and whatnot.
(46:25):
And when I would go down there and visit them,
I got to ride horses a few times, and it
was just amazing riding through the woods with my dad
on a horse. Are you him on a horse? And
I'm just, you know, thirteen fourteen, bouncing along on a
horse next to him. Of course, it was the greatest
thing in the world. That's one of the best memories
(46:46):
I have with my dad was bouncing through the bounce
through the woods, trying to keep up with him on
a horse.
Speaker 1 (46:53):
There's nothing like it. Yeah, and the feeling of power,
aren't they amazing? How powerful this horses are.
Speaker 2 (47:00):
Ironically, I was more scared of the big red Honda
three wheeler he had than because at least I respected
the horse enough to like not do anything stupid with
the three wheeler. I was full of sin and apparently
in the eighties, safety regulations weren't a thing.
Speaker 1 (47:20):
So what's a helmet?
Speaker 2 (47:22):
Yeah, those those those old Honda, big red three wheelers
were just amazing.
Speaker 1 (47:29):
And it was.
Speaker 2 (47:32):
Oh, we got mister James in the house. Watch you
miss on ex His Super Bowl prediction is Bills losing
over time. Why right? Oh that's cold, mister James. That's cold.
Speaker 1 (47:49):
So if I got to go one way or the other,
I love my homes.
Speaker 2 (47:51):
But man, I actually want to say it was the
last time the Chiefs and Bills met up in the
AFC Championship. The Bills lost on a field goal tip
that went wide right, mister James, hope you was in
the in the stream earlier, we showed your your your cards.
(48:15):
Some love man, we we we love it. Just heard
you on a paranoid radio the wonderful episode you did.
Speaker 4 (48:26):
Yeah, I d M him and I told him you
got two orders and I'm getting us each a pack.
And that's how we're gonna. That's how that's going down.
And there's no offens or butts about it. So stay tuned.
We'll do we'll do a live breakdown and you know what, Yeah,
well no, we'll do a live rip. And what's gonna
be cool is because I didn't really understand the full
(48:49):
I understood the concept of it. I I picked up
all on, all on, all that, but what I did
forget was the trading aspect of it. So now that
we got TAMM, so we're gonna we're gonna pick and
choose who's got what cards and who needs what, and
we're gonna best belief you shoulder, We're gonna Hey the ship,
the ship. I will never know. The ship's gonna roll
(49:11):
off my back. I'm not worried about it. The urine.
The urine is the problem because it's orange. Because she's
been eating a lot of carrots and you have to
switch up her diet. But she's the sweetest freaking I'm
telling you. But yeah, you Lucky, Lucky Lucky, Yeah you
jinx me.
Speaker 2 (49:28):
Dude, we're gonna have We're gonna have about to get
turned into some studs.
Speaker 3 (49:33):
Hey, I've already ate. I told my mom.
Speaker 4 (49:36):
I was like, dude, if shit hits a fan, I
want you to know there's a dude.
Speaker 3 (49:41):
There's a dude.
Speaker 4 (49:42):
There's a Lucky's Lucky will be off limits. But the
other thirty thirty some odd rabbits, those are not off limits.
And the sad the sad thing is is that we'll
be kind of screwed because the reason why Lucky was
born was because they're trying it. When you go to
(50:03):
get an animal fixed, right, let's say for a cat,
it's like a hundred bucks. Okay, it's like two hundred
and fifty dollars for a rabbit to get them fixed.
It's a lot more money. But the money's not the
necessary of the issue. It's you think you need you
separate the males and the females, and then you tried
you put the males over here, and then you let
(50:24):
the males and the females that are all fixed, they're
all good that they can do their things. They're not
going to reproduce because this costs money to feed these guys.
It costs a lot of money to feed the entire farm.
So there was one rabbit that did not get fixed
that we thought got fixed. And anyhow, that's how we're
in this predicament. But the amount of meat that you
can get off of just a few rabbits in a
(50:47):
survival situation, if you get yourself maybe three males, three females,
you got enough food for the entire year.
Speaker 3 (50:53):
I'm just saying that makes up Lucky's mess with your
cocoa puffs in the market.
Speaker 7 (51:00):
James, thanks, nice job.
Speaker 2 (51:08):
Oh that's awesome. Oh that's amazing.
Speaker 1 (51:14):
I have a game for you guys. It's a guess
the team. But this is this is back from the eighties.
You're gonna have to go back. I remember you're talking
about the Oilers used to be that the Houston Oilers
are now the Tennessee Titans. Right.
Speaker 2 (51:26):
The Ravens weren't a thing in the eighties.
Speaker 1 (51:28):
Were they Browns?
Speaker 2 (51:30):
They were the Browns. They were the Baltimore Browns, weren't.
Speaker 1 (51:33):
They Well, maybe they're Cleveland Browns and then they moved
to Baltimore Browns and Cleveland didn't have a team for
a little bit. And I remember when the Baltimore Colts
in the middle of the night but all the buses
hauled house up to Indianapolis. It was awful. It was
like a real shock.
Speaker 2 (51:52):
Yeah, I remember that the middle fingers up to the
Rams for leaving Saint Louis. That was that was horrible.
Speaker 4 (52:02):
Now what is the what is can can either of
you explain to me why they do that?
Speaker 3 (52:08):
Is it a money thing?
Speaker 2 (52:09):
Is it? Is it like a political thing? Like yes, yes,
and yes. Okay, So a lot of times the owners
don't want to build a new stadium by themselves. They
want the city to enact attacks so that the public
ends up putting a large portion of the funding for
the stadium. That's a lot of times what it boils
(52:32):
down to. Other times, like with the Browns, it's just
a really petty owner. I can kind of understand the
Rams going back to LA because they were originally a
California team, Like when the Rams were.
Speaker 1 (52:52):
First left and came back Rightkland and LA then I
think the Oakland before they went to Vegas.
Speaker 2 (53:03):
Yeah, they were yeah, but a lot of it comes
down to owners don't like spending money now, and I'm
just gonna be honest with you.
Speaker 1 (53:20):
Like we had Jack and he he yes, sorry, Jack
can cook from RFK. He built Jack Kent Cook Stadium,
which ended up I think I guess when he died
and he didn't put it in the will to his
son something like that. He sold it. It was FedEx
Field and I don't even know what it is now,
(53:43):
but I'm hoping they go back to r FK. But uh,
but he moved. So we're the Washington Redskins. We train
in Ashburn, Virginia, but we play in Landover, Maryland. So
it's a whole it's a whole DMV thing. But at
least at least we're in the area. You have the
Giants and the Jets playing in Meadowlands and Jersey, right,
(54:03):
not even in the same state.
Speaker 2 (54:07):
Sorry, I just had attack of the kiddies over here.
Speaker 1 (54:11):
Is that we got to do me?
Speaker 2 (54:12):
That's what's going on. Well, Luna, that's Luna. She's the
original mascot of the six four three and we got
her fixed when we got blazed. Because so I'm sitting
there at work wielding up wielding it, you know, working
and my boss walks up to me with a cat
in his arms, this little orange kitten. And he's like,
(54:33):
this little shit just walked right up to me at work.
You want it? I was like, well, I guess, let
me ask CALLI. So I sent picture of Cali of
this cat. She was like, oh my God, bring him
to me. And so I left work and took the
cat home. And I thought it was a girl. I
thought Blaze was a girl. I've never identified a kitten before,
(54:53):
so I've never.
Speaker 3 (54:55):
I didn't know, I'll see nothing.
Speaker 2 (55:01):
He's a boy. So when we figured out he was
a boy, he was too young to get fixed. So
we got Luna Spade and she hasn't really forgiven us
for it. It's been several months. But like she used
to do every show on my lap, like if I
was doing a show, Luna was right here. Ever since
(55:22):
she's gotten Spade, she doesn't get down the same, like
she don't trust us. It's just so her being right
here is actually a rarity, you know, ask Kyle. She
hasn't joined us for an episode in quite a while.
Blaze has been the one that wants to get in
here on the ship, but he likes to terrorize Luna.
He likes to chase her around and like to the
(55:45):
point where Luna like forcefully makes him stop. And so
he chased her into the room and ran her up
the back of my chair. Oh he's a good girl.
She's a rescue too, of Actually, both of the cats
are rescues from the shop. Luna was actually born in
(56:08):
our shop and lived there for the first few months
of her life, and then when it started to get cold,
I think it was somewhere around October November, I brought
her home. I was like, I'm not making this cat
live this winter in this shop. It's not gonna happen. Yeah,
And she's been here ever since. She's she's a good girl.
Speaker 1 (56:27):
She's pretty, she's really pretty talked about.
Speaker 2 (56:33):
Yeah, she's bombed. I'm gonna go light a Nansense very
quick coffee bag.
Speaker 3 (56:42):
Oh snap, all right, it's that. It's like that.
Speaker 2 (56:46):
So so.
Speaker 1 (56:51):
We start tap dancing, Kyle, Yeah, yeah.
Speaker 4 (56:54):
Tap dancing. That is also that is also one of
the things that I do do on my spare time.
It is a past pastime activity that I enjoy, uh speak.
So right, we're into sports. The river dance.
Speaker 3 (57:09):
I wish, I wish. What a beautiful concept that is?
Speaker 2 (57:12):
Though it is pretty cool.
Speaker 4 (57:15):
Yeah, it is pretty wild. It is pretty wild as
far as so super Bowl goes. Have you paid any
mind to the different theories conspiratorial?
Speaker 2 (57:32):
Maybe?
Speaker 4 (57:33):
Maybe not based on the colors and the logos, right,
because it seems like this year it's not necessarily adding up, right, Well, burgundy.
Speaker 1 (57:43):
And gold and the Chiefs yellow and red, and it's
yellow and red. Isn't it super Bowl? Isn't it? Isn't
it fifty nine? Isn't it yellow and red? Let me
close enough?
Speaker 4 (57:57):
Let me see, let me see fifty nine, because I
pulled it up and I got a bunch of different
things I do. What I do remember is we have
the we have the Paisley kind of turn that off.
We have the Paisley background almost kind of the New
Orleans vibes to it. Okay, So I'm seeing a couple
(58:19):
of them, and I'm seeing I see some green, some pink,
some purple. But then yeah, I'm getting more of like
the the Chiefs colors is kind of what I'm seeing here.
Speaker 3 (58:31):
Do you think there's anything to that? And I know
it's I know this is gonna be kind of a.
Speaker 4 (58:37):
Hard question to ask because both of your guys's teams
are both both potential Super Bowl candidates.
Speaker 1 (58:45):
Well, Sunday will know.
Speaker 3 (58:47):
We will know Sunday.
Speaker 4 (58:50):
So for those that might not be super familiar with
with football, right, uh, this Sunday marks what we are
in the the semifinals, the quarter of the finals.
Speaker 3 (59:03):
Where are we at? So whoever wins? Breaking down?
Speaker 2 (59:09):
Go ahead this time?
Speaker 1 (59:11):
Yeah, we had we had the wildcard games first and
the Skins one, so I got to go back to that.
We got it back to the Skins won for the
wild card. So then then you have the divisional championships
and so that's We've played Detroit and you guys played.
Speaker 2 (59:27):
Los Angeles the Rams.
Speaker 1 (59:31):
It didn't matter. That's like with the AFC game, it
doesn't matter. Okay, all right, So now so we got
the division championships and so now we've got the conference championships.
So this, I guess would be like the semi puzzles,
which is really funny. I've never heard that before. But
so then now we'll have the NFC champions and the
(59:53):
AFC champions and then they'll play for the Super Bowl.
And I think they've they've messed up the Pro Bowl.
It is not even fun anymore to because they used
to be the best of the AFC against the best
of the NFC. And have you see when they were
like one year they were picking teams or something and
they had them all mixed up. And I don't get that.
I don't know why they did that, because the provo
(01:00:14):
was fun after the Super Bowl, so then everybody could play.
And now it's like before. I mean, I guess it
was hard having that week off, but I mean the
Pro Bowl used to be the best, the best against
the beast. I thought that was so much fun.
Speaker 2 (01:00:28):
That was cool. So the Pro Bowl was meaningless game.
So yeah, the Pro literally flag football now yeah yeah.
Speaker 4 (01:00:37):
Well yeah, I get kind of part of it, right,
Because you have the best of the best, you don't
want them to get fucked up injured.
Speaker 3 (01:00:44):
They need they have the rest of the year that
they need to recuperate. So the winner of the the
Skins and the Eagles are going on to the Super Bowl.
That's kind of big, man, and this is this it's
kind of big. And then we got the Kansas City
Chiefs and they are verse seeing the.
Speaker 2 (01:01:08):
The Buffalo Bills.
Speaker 1 (01:01:10):
Wow, my quarterback for the Fantasy Football League.
Speaker 3 (01:01:13):
He was awesome. I did tell Hank. I did. I
did tell Hank a.
Speaker 4 (01:01:28):
Couple of weeks ago, after the Cowboys got knocked out,
I told Hank that I would be going for the
Eagles for the remainder of the year.
Speaker 3 (01:01:36):
And so yeah, I'm gonna make I know, I know,
I'm going to make a prediction here, and my prediction
is going.
Speaker 2 (01:01:42):
To be.
Speaker 4 (01:01:44):
It's going to be the Eagles versus the Kansas City
Chiefs and the Super Bowl.
Speaker 3 (01:01:50):
And I.
Speaker 4 (01:01:53):
My prediction is going to be I I because I
said I'm going to go for the Eagles. I said that,
and now I got to stick to it. I gotta
stay true to my words. So I do think that
the Eagles are going to go all the way, and
I think it's gonna shake up I think it's gonna
it's gonna shake up the Chiefs as far as they're
(01:02:13):
not going to get there. They're not going to get
their little wind streak here. Now that's my prediction. Now,
what I really honestly care about, Hey, listen, what I
what I do can With that being said, what I
do care about. The one thing I that that I
that I that would mean the most to me, okay,
would be that the Kansas City lose, the Chiefs lose,
(01:02:37):
no matter whom.
Speaker 3 (01:02:40):
Ends up playing them.
Speaker 4 (01:02:42):
I just want them to lose, and I want them
to lose for multiple, multiple reasons, and one of which
is one of my daughter's favorite artists is Taylor Swift.
Speaker 3 (01:02:54):
I want them to lose for that.
Speaker 4 (01:02:57):
I want them to lose because I'm getting Patriots vibes
and I don't like those vibes.
Speaker 3 (01:03:05):
And I think that's pretty much it for the reasons
that I have as of right now.
Speaker 2 (01:03:11):
Okay, back in the wonder years of two thousand and.
Speaker 3 (01:03:18):
Six, by the way, dude, oh my goodness.
Speaker 2 (01:03:31):
Oh anyway, you used to actually have football games get
played where real men used to hit real men like
rob you used to get it's like this in the
NFL R I p Sean Taylor arguably one of the
(01:03:55):
greatest to never live one. Yeah, congratulated Sean Taylor, isn't not.
Speaker 3 (01:04:08):
When he started looking into like.
Speaker 2 (01:04:10):
C T C T he just decided to run with it.
But that was a legal hit by today's standards. That's
a legal hit still, mm hmm. Was that?
Speaker 1 (01:04:22):
Uh?
Speaker 2 (01:04:23):
Jim Kelly, Now that was the punter.
Speaker 1 (01:04:29):
Who I'm saying is that the era was that the Jim.
Speaker 2 (01:04:32):
Kelly that might have been bled though four.
Speaker 1 (01:04:36):
Okay, four super Bowls, and it's poor Jim Kelly kept
thinking he was gonna plu off three times? Four times?
Speaker 2 (01:04:46):
Was in the nineties, wasn't he?
Speaker 1 (01:04:48):
Okay, that was earlier? Sorry, guys killing me here, didn't
didn't Bled to the Patriots with the.
Speaker 2 (01:05:00):
Yah was the reason we have Tom Brady m had
in a two thousand and I think it was in
the two thousand and one season, Drew Bledsoe goes down
with an injury at the very end of the year
and in walks. No, it was at the end of
the two thousand season. Letso gets hurt and incomes rookie
(01:05:23):
starting quarterback Tom Brady.
Speaker 1 (01:05:26):
Didn't they say he had a chip on the shoulder
from the beginning?
Speaker 2 (01:05:30):
I mean, yeah, he was. I mean he was not
looked at as a good quarterback. You know, coming out
of college. It's not like Johnny Football or Right Rock
Party got more respect than Tom Brady did as a party.
Speaker 1 (01:05:55):
Party went to the San Francisco right yesh.
Speaker 2 (01:05:57):
He's mister mister irrelevant. Was literally the last pick of the.
Speaker 3 (01:06:05):
Draft and is freaking eat. I would say he did
a pretty damn good job.
Speaker 1 (01:06:12):
Come back as to come back, but.
Speaker 2 (01:06:18):
Party apparently suffers from the same curse that the Eagles
this year supposedly suffer from. No team that has ever
lost in the regular seasons to Kirk Cousins has ever
gone on to win the Super Bowl. Up until last year,
(01:06:39):
No team that has lost to Kirk Cousins in the
regular season has even made it to a super Bowl
until brought Party and the forty nine ers did it
last year, but they did not win. And she said
earlier this year, the Eagles drop a game in Atlanta
to Kirk Cousin, it's legit. They can't win the super Bowl.
(01:07:10):
The Eagles, well versus real, the Eagles can't win because
we lost to Atlanta earlier this year the Eagles did. Yeah,
that's what I'm saying. If the curse is real, they
that you can't lose to Kirk and win.
Speaker 1 (01:07:29):
This is great, This is good news for me. No.
Speaker 2 (01:07:34):
No, the problem is, no team that's ever lost to
the UH to Kirk Cousins in the regular season has
ever won the Super Bowl. So the Eagles lost to
Kirk Cousins and the Atlanta Falcons earlier this year, meaning
that Eagles, that the curse is real, won't win the
(01:07:55):
Super Bowl, not saying they won't get there, saying they
won't win it.
Speaker 1 (01:08:00):
That's fine, that's.
Speaker 3 (01:08:04):
Better than nothing.
Speaker 4 (01:08:07):
Well, you also have I don't know a lot about it,
but you also have the Madden NFL cover for for
the NFL or for the Madden.
Speaker 3 (01:08:17):
You said, what, that's real?
Speaker 1 (01:08:23):
Did you ever listen to Matt and John Madden? Did
you ever really hear him? And he would like, oh,
that was the best. He was awesome. Never get on
a plane. He was always using his bus and he
would travel from game to game and he was a blast.
He was he was football.
Speaker 4 (01:08:41):
That makes that makes that curse so much more beautiful
because I know, damn well that John Madden. Dude, you
don't get on a Boeing plane, okay, and it's all
coming to fruition in the last couple of years.
Speaker 3 (01:08:55):
You don't get on it. Listen, I'm not even kidding
you when I that's funny.
Speaker 2 (01:09:00):
Ha ha ha ha ha.
Speaker 3 (01:09:02):
You will not catch me or my family members on
a Boeing plane. Not happening. It will not happen.
Speaker 4 (01:09:10):
Well, you could drive, but it's gonna cost you an
extra couple couple hundred bucks and you're gonna lose.
Speaker 3 (01:09:14):
A couple of days. All good, Sign me up. I'm
not getting on new.
Speaker 2 (01:09:19):
The rest of your life.
Speaker 3 (01:09:22):
Roger that, Roger that. Yeah, I'm not hopping, I know
so that that's.
Speaker 2 (01:09:26):
If you've got Amazon Prime Video, you can watch a
documentary about John Madden and the EA Madden franchise. I
think it's called the I think the documentary is called
It's in the Game. I think sports It's in the Game.
It's an incredible documentary. There's a backcaine footage of John
(01:09:50):
Madden from like when he was making the early games
and stuff. It's amazing. You would love it.
Speaker 1 (01:09:56):
You would love Yeah, that's nostalgic.
Speaker 2 (01:09:59):
And and it gets into like how he would never
get on a plane. He was always in his bus
and like when John Madden showed up, it was like
the world stood still because that's John freaking Madden. We're
just and just I remember growing up and listening to
(01:10:23):
game live games on the TV with him in the boot,
like I can I can call the game yep. John
John Madden and Pat Summer on the most iconic broadcasting
duo and history.
Speaker 4 (01:10:41):
Yeah, I will real quick speaking to John Madden.
Speaker 3 (01:10:47):
Just kind of fun.
Speaker 4 (01:10:51):
You could probably find it on an app store. I
use iPhone. I know Hank uses iPhone as well. I'm
not sure what you used, Tim, but the Madden Madden
NFL Mobile Football Game is.
Speaker 3 (01:11:01):
A lot of fun.
Speaker 4 (01:11:02):
And the cool thing about it, which is why I
think where I think you would enjoy it. It's it's
fairly simple, right, it's easy on your phone.
Speaker 1 (01:11:11):
But handle all these complications.
Speaker 4 (01:11:14):
No, you can know, No, Tam, I know, damn well,
you can handle all of this, which is why I'm
sharing this with you. But the cool thing about it
is that you get these legendary players and it's freaking like, dude,
it is badass, and it'll take you that The photos
of like all your new players are all shiny and
they're nice, and you're.
Speaker 3 (01:11:34):
Like, oh, yeah, he's so cool, the you know, first
draft pick of twenty twenty three. But then you get
the old school guys and their stats are up.
Speaker 4 (01:11:43):
But it's just it's nostalgic at the very least, and
I think you'd probably enjoyed.
Speaker 2 (01:11:48):
It's a lot of fun.
Speaker 4 (01:11:49):
You you you you play you earn packs, you get
these legendary players, and you know, you get a lot,
you get a lot, a lot of the players that
we've been speaking about tonight. So I recommend just checking
it out. It's fun just to mess around with. You
don't gotta you know, go crazy with it. But you're
sitting down watching something and your eyes start to wander
a little bit and you get a little antsy, maybe
(01:12:11):
because you have a d D like myself. I'm not
saying you do, but I do. But sometimes I'm like, yeah,
fuck this game or fuck this movie. I'm gonna play
my game. And anyhow, yeah, check it out. It's kind
of cool.
Speaker 1 (01:12:21):
Yeah, you cause you have like the Steelers the whole time,
the whole gosh there rain that was exciting Bradshaw. I
mean they're Frank o'haris. I mean you go back to.
Speaker 3 (01:12:33):
Who was the guy that did the radio show? Was
that Terry?
Speaker 2 (01:12:36):
No, no, Terry.
Speaker 4 (01:12:38):
You got Terry Bradshaw who did the radio shot commercials
in the in the two thousand's, late nineties.
Speaker 1 (01:12:45):
Terry Hatcher and Hatcher.
Speaker 2 (01:12:48):
There you go it.
Speaker 1 (01:12:50):
Who was that? Oh that was funny? Those were funny. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:12:57):
So so this is, uh, this is a We're on
John Madden. This is a funny John Madden clip, and
I'm actually gonna use this clip to segue into a
couple of cards and a personal story that I have.
So let's check this clip out. I'm not gonna play
all five minutes of it, but it's John Madden, so
(01:13:19):
we just might.
Speaker 1 (01:13:20):
We never know.
Speaker 9 (01:13:21):
But he's been six years wait for san Diego?
Speaker 2 (01:13:25):
All right, so Wilson, Oh yeah, so yes, this is
the nineties. There's gonna be a black man that hits
the screen in a couple of guy right there in
the top left corner. I want you all to take
mental note of that man. His name is Cortes Kennedy.
Speaker 9 (01:13:47):
He's been in six years, wait for San Diego, to
wait for washing?
Speaker 2 (01:13:53):
What would the guys over his hand?
Speaker 1 (01:14:01):
What would you can't there?
Speaker 9 (01:14:03):
Whatson Broussard has a seattle first down stopped by Burt Grossman.
Speaker 2 (01:14:12):
These two is fighting for a job.
Speaker 9 (01:14:14):
There's some chewing tobacco in that in that in that towel.
Speaker 3 (01:14:19):
Whatever it was, he just Jennison's, but.
Speaker 9 (01:14:22):
I still think there's a bag of chewing tobacco in
that towel bag. It was a kind of you know,
like like a pouch bag, you know, you kind of
reach in there in your grass.
Speaker 3 (01:14:33):
That Redman's son, that Red Man. Let's go, he's in there.
Speaker 2 (01:14:38):
I think I saw him put it in there. Please
thanks to Brisson.
Speaker 3 (01:14:50):
Intended for Carlester Crumpler.
Speaker 2 (01:14:54):
They're getting damn.
Speaker 9 (01:14:57):
Maybe that was that's a hot dog. Got that hot
talk someplace and he gave it to Myra. I thought
it was chewing. That was a big old hot dog.
Speaker 1 (01:15:09):
It is.
Speaker 2 (01:15:09):
They're both gonna be sick very shortly.
Speaker 9 (01:15:12):
Oh yeah, yeah, tobacco. Cortesa is eating a hot dog
and he gave it to Myra and they don't have
anything to wash it down.
Speaker 2 (01:15:22):
Oh man, that was.
Speaker 1 (01:15:24):
The best thing when you're talking about being in the
stadiums hot dogs, hot dogs, Colo beer, Culber, get you
called here.
Speaker 2 (01:15:30):
That was mister Cortes. Kennedy was drafted in UH eighty nine.
His rookie year was nineteen ninety with the Seattle Seahawks.
He hails from a small town in northeastern Arkansas named Wilson,
where I happened to be from. Mister Cortes Kennedy not
(01:15:52):
only being a native of Wilson, Arkansas, a fellow alumni
of Rivercrest High School cop Pride. He is the only
football player to ever play and Rivercrest has existed since
nineteen seventy. He's the only football player since nineteen seventy
(01:16:13):
to have his jersey retired by Rivercrest High School. Oh wow,
that's called He's from Wilson. He played and he sad
thing is is he wasn't even the second best player
on his team in high school. Like, he was a
part of a couple of high school teams at Won
State that were just absolute monsters. But he went to
(01:16:35):
the University of Miami and was a part of some
of the fame before the like he was in the
mid eighties when Miami became the U. You know, he
was there, and then he was drafted by Seattle. And
I had the pleasure of meeting Cortes and knowing Cortes
(01:16:58):
throughout my childhood. And he was an amazing man. Like
he was truly an amazing man.
Speaker 1 (01:17:06):
And he came back, he came back to Oh yes.
Speaker 2 (01:17:10):
He lived, Yes, he resided in Wilson and like, yes,
he we are. Actually the football field that Rivercrest plays
on is Cortes Kennedy Field.
Speaker 1 (01:17:22):
That's cool. That's awesome, And I have two No, No,
I see Seattle of this one? Can I see the
one on your right? Yes, I the Seattle. I saw
the Seahawks logo.
Speaker 10 (01:17:37):
There.
Speaker 1 (01:17:37):
What's the other one?
Speaker 2 (01:17:38):
It's Seattle, It's the only Yeah. But I have those
two cards. They might not be worth five dollars if
you shake them together and make them hoop gold, But
to me they mean more than you know. They mean
just as much to me as the Mickey Mantle autograph does.
Because I knew Cortez Kennedy. I shook that man's hand
(01:18:04):
and I watched him be a part of the community.
When I didn't even really understand who Cortez Kennedy was.
I was a kid. I just knew that he played
for the Seattle Seahawks and was from Wilson, Like he
was just another like because I was best friends with
one of his best friend son, Like we were in
(01:18:26):
the same class, and so I'd be at my buddy's
house and Cortes would just be over there. Like he
wasn't a superstar, he was just that was just mister,
mister Cortez. He was just, and I mean an absolute
teddy bear man, the nicest man you could ever imagine,
And unfortunately we lost him a few years back. But
(01:18:50):
I am I am considered one of the lucky ones
to have known him, and his family still lives around here,
Like he's got a street and Wilson named after him,
a football fields named after him. I figured, I figured
you get a kick out of that, you know, being
a little sweet. Yeah, Cortes was awesome, man. I just
(01:19:13):
wished I would have been able to see him play,
but hell, he got drafted the year I was born.
Speaker 1 (01:19:17):
So but he came back. I think that's the coolest
part is that he came back.
Speaker 2 (01:19:23):
I mean it did a lot, Like actually did a
lot for the school. He wasn't just back, like he
donated equipment to the school, Like if the football team
needed new jerseys, he was always there to help, they
needed new training equipment, he was there to help like
he truly was an amazing human being. I didn't know
(01:19:43):
him as a football player. I knew him as a
human just another just another guy that loved the community.
Speaker 4 (01:19:50):
Well, Cam said that was cool that he came back,
and I think the real ones do. I think the
real ones go back to their roots, And I think
that says a lot. You know, I think that says
a lot. Once the fame and once the once, all
that kind of sets in and and a lot of them.
Speaker 3 (01:20:09):
They go back to what they know.
Speaker 1 (01:20:13):
And you know, a lot of.
Speaker 2 (01:20:16):
People talk crap about Travis Kelcey, and a lot of
it is deserved. You know, if you're doing fiser commercials,
yeah you're gonna get I'm gonna talk about you. But
one thing I will never hate on Travis Kelsey for
is what he does for the New Heights community in Ohio,
like the money. Not only not to mention what he
(01:20:39):
does in Kansas City, but let's be real, at least today,
you know, Kyle, we've talked to Zachary King, the ex
Satanic Satanic YEP, and we've heard him say that there's
not many people that make it on your TV that
(01:20:59):
weren't put there for reasons. And I'm not saying each
and every single person that you know becomes somebody, but
the chances are, you know, there's they've played the game
to get in the game. You know what I'm saying, right,
I don't really care how these people got in this position.
(01:21:21):
The fact of the matter is that at least on
some level, they still put on for the community. Just
looking at the NFL, man, you can look at every
single team and what is it. The Walter Payton Man
of the Year Award goes to the one player in
the league that has done the most outstanding work off
(01:21:42):
the field charity. At almost every single NFL superstar and
we're just looking at the NFL. We're not looking at hockey, basketball, baseball. Yeah,
these other sports where people from you know what I'm saying,
Like these superstars actually set up chair and organizations to
(01:22:02):
help communities. Whether it's a gimmick, whether they truly care
or not, I don't. I don't really care. I don't
need them to really care because if they're they're starting
it and they're putting money back into the community. Okay,
I get that. I get that. I'm saying, don't look
and give horse in the mouth, you know what I'm saying.
(01:22:23):
Just like these politicians, I'm not trying to date these dudes.
I don't need to fall in love with them. Are
you doing something with what you've been given? Yes or no?
You know what I'm saying. And a lot of these
guys do. And just like mister Cortez, Kennedy did a
lot for the community in which he came from, and
so at least on that aspect alone, I can tip
(01:22:46):
my hat to a lot of these superstars what we
call superstars, who are just, at the end of the day,
human beings themselves. They just so happened to have an
opportunity that we didn't get to have, and their life
experience is very different from But at the at the
end of the day, they put what what what's the
ol saying? They put their pants on the same way
as I do one A.
Speaker 1 (01:23:07):
Yeah, that's true.
Speaker 2 (01:23:10):
People holding their pants open and they jump in both
at the same time, and then that just kisses you off.
Speaker 1 (01:23:22):
Did you have an orange cat, to Kyle?
Speaker 2 (01:23:24):
I do.
Speaker 3 (01:23:25):
I got two orange cats. I have Outlaw and I
have Tigger.
Speaker 10 (01:23:31):
This is like the Orange Club or something, right, Yeah,
And you know what's funny about Tiggers.
Speaker 3 (01:23:40):
T I double t I double gut.
Speaker 2 (01:23:44):
Their tops are made out of rubber and the bottoms
are made out of springs.
Speaker 3 (01:23:51):
Yeah, it's no, that was good.
Speaker 4 (01:23:53):
It was actually kind of weird because growing up, dude,
I had a I had I guess a phobia. I
don't know what you'd call it, but like redheads and
like freckles when I was a kid freaked me out.
Speaker 2 (01:24:07):
I don't know why.
Speaker 3 (01:24:08):
It didn't like scare me, but I was like, I'm
gonna keep my distance. And as I've gotten older, did
you shout out.
Speaker 2 (01:24:16):
To Drew missing.
Speaker 1 (01:24:19):
Wells fun and he's got a still he's got the
baby coming along in June? Right? Yeah? Yeah, I have
never very excited about that. I mean, he just all
over them. I mean it was awesome. He's so so excited.
Speaker 4 (01:24:41):
We all know it's probably gonna be a June third baby.
Let's just be real, Gemini. Hey, the odds of a
Gemini are are are pretty strong being born in June.
But nonetheless, we wish Drew and his lovely, lovely wife
and future baby be nothing but the best. And hopefully
(01:25:04):
and and yeah, thoughts and prayers that.
Speaker 3 (01:25:06):
Everything goes smoothly, you know, everything goes smoothly, which I'm.
Speaker 2 (01:25:10):
Sure it will. I am sure it will.
Speaker 3 (01:25:12):
I have no doubts in my brain.
Speaker 2 (01:25:16):
What didn't you say you had a game for us?
And then I sidetracked this with a history lesson on
the on the Browns And okay, did you say this
multiple choice? Yeah?
Speaker 4 (01:25:31):
That no, but no, hey, you heard me you've heard
me without hearing me. I was like, fuck, I hope
this is multiple choice. You are creeping me out, dude,
because I never said that, but that's exactly what I
was thinking.
Speaker 3 (01:25:50):
No, I know, we will go back and listen. I
never said it was a multiple choice, but that's exactly
what I was thinking. I'm like, I hope this is
multiple choice.
Speaker 1 (01:26:00):
So what my husband was saying, it's like, is this
Kyle as Hank or is this Hank is Kyle?
Speaker 2 (01:26:04):
Because you can.
Speaker 1 (01:26:07):
It doesn't anyway, it's the same. Yeah. One last thing
for Drew is enjoy every second of it. Our daughter's
twenty one and in a blink of an eye, you
have no idea how fast we homeschoolder and I enjoyed
every second of it. We traveled looking bucky, but we
were We were fortunate enough to get to that homeschooler
(01:26:28):
and man is she smart. I mean it was just
the best thing we possibly could have done and enjoyed.
We travel. We had a motor home, and so we
go go see every place instead of just reading it
in the book. We'd go and want to tell all
melt Vernon. We go to all these every place, all parks,
and stuff. But we go we learned. She learned so
much your town Jamestown, I mean going places, being there,
(01:26:51):
seeing it instead of just reading about it.
Speaker 4 (01:26:53):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:26:54):
Yeah, But I just hope he enjoys every second because are.
Speaker 2 (01:26:57):
You tak an application for children? Because I want to
go places?
Speaker 1 (01:27:07):
Yeah, because we were moving from Vegas to here, and
we had a motor and we actually lived in it.
It was a forty foot it had a shower, every
had a washer, dryer. It was like an apartment on wheels.
It was so much fun. We enjoyed it. But the
same thing, she still got to learn, she still got
to study, but she got to stop. We'll adopt you.
Speaker 2 (01:27:31):
I'll do my own laundry.
Speaker 1 (01:27:33):
That's nice. That's okay. So the game is I'll give
a hint and then if you can guess which team
it is. But remember this is this is the ninety
so uh I think I think most of them the
only there's only one mm hmm. It would be all spoiler,
(01:27:55):
but the lubri Caters. What would have that been from
one of the old teams. It's no more, I know it.
Speaker 2 (01:28:00):
Do you know what Kyle? The lubricators think about think
about older football teams that aren't here anymore.
Speaker 1 (01:28:09):
Think about Houston? Is that too much?
Speaker 2 (01:28:11):
The the Oilers? Yea, yeah, yeah, really?
Speaker 3 (01:28:15):
Are you serious?
Speaker 1 (01:28:16):
Yes? Okay, so what about seventh squared? That would be
the Which team would that be?
Speaker 2 (01:28:24):
What a seventh squared? About? Kyle?
Speaker 3 (01:28:28):
Seven times seven square? It's squared seven times seven forty nine?
Speaker 2 (01:28:34):
Ers? Yes?
Speaker 3 (01:28:35):
Yes, yes, yes, what you're giving me these stuff?
Speaker 1 (01:28:41):
Seventh seven seven forty seven? Who would that be?
Speaker 4 (01:28:45):
That's not a plane I'm flying if it's under Boeing
good saying, uh seven forty seven?
Speaker 2 (01:28:53):
Hold on, hold on.
Speaker 1 (01:28:56):
The planes.
Speaker 2 (01:29:01):
You're you're thinking too much, dude.
Speaker 3 (01:29:04):
Yeah, I'm thinking too much, like you literally have it.
Speaker 1 (01:29:08):
The New York.
Speaker 3 (01:29:11):
Times. Oh oh god, okay, damn that was good.
Speaker 2 (01:29:17):
That was good.
Speaker 3 (01:29:17):
The Jets okay, oh my goodness.
Speaker 1 (01:29:20):
All right, here's the one for Catalyst Jones.
Speaker 10 (01:29:22):
The hostile attackers, The hostile attackers.
Speaker 1 (01:29:35):
Not in La Vegas.
Speaker 2 (01:29:38):
I think mister James is playing from the from the
hockey angle. I don't I don't know what the Winnipeg
hockey team is. Yeah, but but he's answering with Winnipeg. Oh,
the hostile invaders.
Speaker 1 (01:29:55):

Speaker 2 (01:29:57):

Speaker 2 (01:30:19):
Army in sect.
Speaker 1 (01:30:24):
So another thing for the army if their government issued.
Speaker 4 (01:30:29):
Commanders, No, no, no, army in government the military. I'm
i'm I am balancing two things at once right now.
Speaker 2 (01:30:41):

because because kids these days aren't gonna know what an
invoice is.
Speaker 1 (01:34:01):
That's true, kids, is all right? The helpers to relocate.
Speaker 2 (01:34:10):
The helpers to relocate. Yeah, oh, I know.
Speaker 1 (01:34:17):

Birds, the only other birds you haven't mentioned.
Speaker 3 (01:35:14):

scout and then you graduate to a bear scout, graduate.
Speaker 3 (01:36:22):
To uh eagle.
Speaker 4 (01:36:28):
I got some funny ones. I got some funny answers
to everything you were gonna say. I was gonna say
some stuff that was very, very explicit for almost every
single one of your questions, just saying, yeah, where I'm
trying to keep it that way, but my mouth.
Speaker 2 (01:36:50):
You caught the glance at the husband like I'm trying
over here, these dudes, I'm cheaping it clean.
Speaker 1 (01:36:57):
I'm keeping it football.
Speaker 2 (01:37:00):

Speaker 4 (01:37:10):
The Indian Leader, the Redskin, no good lord, Jeeps, the Chiefs,
the Chiefs, the Chiefs.
Speaker 2 (01:37:18):
The Chiefs. Breathe, breathe before you speak, because in that
breath you can get enough neurons to fire to figure
this stuff out.
Speaker 3 (01:37:29):
Dude, come on, Lucky, help me out here.
Speaker 2 (01:37:34):
The Red.
Speaker 1 (01:37:37):

Speaker 3 (01:38:13):
They used to be girls, cowboys, thank you?
Speaker 1 (01:38:20):
Yes, Kyle's head and where his head is? Okay, so

Speaker 4 (01:38:30):

Speaker 3 (01:38:37):

Speaker 1 (01:39:49):
This is what Louis Armstrong's favorite. Oh you know this

November first, which was all that was.
Speaker 2 (01:40:02):

Speaker 3 (01:40:10):

Speaker 1 (01:42:00):
Let me see, that's a really hard one.
Speaker 3 (01:42:03):
That's a really hard one.
Speaker 2 (01:42:05):
You've got sorting through her own stop over here. I
don't think she's ever took it easy on somebody with
this game.
Speaker 1 (01:42:15):
Before Fundamental rule. This is the more we were talking
about them moving from Arizona to Arizona.

my soul.
Speaker 1 (01:45:15):
Another name for a dollar we're talking about.
Speaker 2 (01:45:18):
I'm pretty sure there's only one team left. It could

Speaker 4 (01:46:51):
Those were those were solid ask questions and and I hope,
I hope that they're was a little bit of entertainment in.
Speaker 3 (01:47:02):
There, because there was not a right there.
Speaker 1 (01:47:06):
Buddy.
Speaker 3 (01:47:10):
I was one thousand percent not prepared, but.
Speaker 2 (01:47:15):
You pulled through, and you know, and you know, talk
about taking one for a team.
Speaker 1 (01:47:23):
Hey, alternate answers. I'm just so glad that I just.
Speaker 2 (01:47:28):
I've seen him, I've seen his I've seen his brain
starting the smolder so I was just shuffling on cold
as fast as I could. The flames you gotta burn.
Speaker 1 (01:47:41):
We did.
Speaker 3 (01:47:42):
We did a show, you fucking.
Speaker 2 (01:47:47):
We did.
Speaker 3 (01:47:48):
We did. We did a show, yeah kind of because
it's yeah, but uh we did a.
Speaker 4 (01:47:54):
Show with uh that the gentleman over io would talk guys,
and and the way that they end their show, which
to be quite, to be quite, frank, I haven't listened
to them in like a very long time because there
hasn't been no content who they are.
Speaker 1 (01:48:09):
Yes, we just watched I just watch it.
Speaker 2 (01:48:11):
You guys listen to the album Talk.
Speaker 1 (01:48:14):
No no, no, I heard the one with you guys.
Speaker 2 (01:48:16):
With them, I just just okay, So they are They
are an amazing group of guys. Shout out to Teo
Teo TP THEO, Theo and the ever elusive e Rock
who likes to be a rock star instead of hang
out with friends who want to talk to him and
(01:48:36):
he never does a show with it. But but now
we those are an amazing group of guys, like they've
they've been friends of the show for a couple of
years now.
Speaker 1 (01:48:47):
It was Disney, That's what it was, right, Yes.
Speaker 2 (01:48:51):
Yes, yes, ma'am, Oh my gosh, that was it was.
Speaker 1 (01:48:55):
There was cases, real law cases.
Speaker 2 (01:48:58):
Yes, yes you okay, so I will send you the
links to parts one and two. So so how we
did this. We we put part one out on the
I would Talk guys, and then we put part two
out on my show, and then part three was put
(01:49:19):
out on Kyle's show. Kind of get trying to get
everybody some listenings. So like you know what I'm saying,
So like if you want to hear part one, you
have to go listen to it on their show if
you want. You know, just trying to spread some love around, ye.
Speaker 1 (01:49:33):
But yeah, the cruisers don't do the cruise. I mean
here you're trusting.
Speaker 2 (01:49:41):
This is like the whole thing.
Speaker 1 (01:49:42):
You're trusting them to take care of your chi where
you're having fun.
Speaker 2 (01:49:47):
You expected their pay dollars to be there.
Speaker 1 (01:49:53):
That was so that was a great show. That was
a really.
Speaker 2 (01:49:56):
Actually we're hammering out details for part four. Okay, it
will it will hopefully be out within the first two
weeks of February.
Speaker 1 (01:50:09):
Oh wow, so good.
Speaker 2 (01:50:12):
Yes, we're yeah we it. Admittedly, you know there there's
blame to be put on all parties involved, but there
was a rather large gap between parts two and three,
but we're not gonna We're not gonna let that happen.
But like Kyle was saying, at the end of every
(01:50:35):
I Would Talk Guys episode, they ended with a moniker.
If you will, they'll say, and always remember, don't eat
the yellow cake, don't the yellow snow, and the last
(01:50:55):
one they say will always just be something quirky from
the episode. Right, So when when was that when you
fumbled the bag that was on Uh, that was on you.
It wasn't It wasn't Disney.
Speaker 3 (01:51:12):
No, that wasn't Separate, that was on we were tired.
Speaker 4 (01:51:16):
Well in that episode you talked about you being a
I think you're convicted felt yelling.
Speaker 2 (01:51:23):
That's the one. Yeah, that one, that's the one. And
so we were doing an episode and at the end
of it, I was like, hey, Kyle, get your dunk
ready because we're gonna get out of here. What Talk
Guys style thinking He was like, oh yeah, dude, for sure,
I'm right there with you. And we get and we
(01:51:44):
get we get into it and they're like you remember,
always remember yellowkay, yellow snow. And then it gets to
Colin it's just crickets m hm, and so I have
to jump in and say it was. It was beautiful
the way it was, it was awesome. And so that's
why I did that. Party three was like, but I
(01:52:09):
pretended I was the guy on the on the carrier,
the naval carrier with the wines, like, Kyle, Hey, oh yes,
right here, right here, this is what we're doing. Get
your don't Reggie. I got my crayons out, I sharpened
him up, I got my construction paper, and I made
(01:52:29):
him a really nice, pretty sign so he could not
miss it.
Speaker 3 (01:52:34):
And you know, you know I did barely miss that.
You know, I got lucky on that.
Speaker 2 (01:52:41):
Because here's what I figured out about your Kyle, is
if I let you just do what you do, you're fine.
But as soon as I direct something your way, you
clam up. It is the greatest thing ever. And I
love it because I know I could do it to
you at a moment's notice.
Speaker 3 (01:53:01):
Well that's good. That's good to know. Let me tell
you this when when.
Speaker 2 (01:53:08):
Back.
Speaker 3 (01:53:10):
So I've had a lot of which is really weird.
I've had a lot of like I've done a lot
of public speaking, a lot of public speaking, and if
I don't keep up with it, I lose it.
Speaker 4 (01:53:23):
So I have like I've literally clammed up, dude, in
front of probably five hundred people on stage doing like
a presentation, a presentation on wine and like describing wine
and ship.
Speaker 2 (01:53:38):
And I know my ship.
Speaker 3 (01:53:40):
I got my ship down and I get up there
and I'm.
Speaker 2 (01:53:43):
Like, imagine doing that to the person that owns the
town you live in.
Speaker 1 (01:53:52):
What happened?
Speaker 2 (01:53:54):
I worked at a so so in the town of Wilson,
where me and Cortes Kennedy are from. A multi billionaire
moved into town and bought our town. The town of
Wilson from its inception was owned and mayored by a
(01:54:16):
Wilson up until Galen Lawrence came in and bought the town.
Like the dude was playing monopoly. He said, I'm buying that.
He wrote a check for fifteen million dollars and bought
this town in northeast Arkansas, Oh my goodness, and put.
Speaker 1 (01:54:34):
A lot of money with the people of animals and
everything in it.
Speaker 2 (01:54:38):
Well, he now owns the land you live on. No, yeah,
it's wild, but he put a lot of money into this.
We called it the tavern because I mean that's what
it was. It was the tavern. So the town square
and Wilson is built in a very colonial Dutch style.
It's beautiful architecture. I'll take some pictures of it next
(01:55:00):
Thursday when I'm in town. But the tavern, he put
a lot of money into it and opened it up
as the Wilson Cafe. And the gist of it was was,
you could take this podok gas Town's cafe, drop it
into any major city on the globe, and it would
survive operating as it did in the middle. It was
(01:55:24):
you could you could take our you could take you
got me, I'm sorry, Captain Morgan's got me out here
sailing the seer seeds. You can drop You can drop
this cafe anywhere on the Earth's the flat level plane
(01:55:45):
that we live on, and and it would survive just
as well as it did in Wilson as it would
is at Atlanta, London, La, whatever. H I'm talking about.
This dude had so much money he bought one of
the original thirteen vineyards in Napa Valley.
Speaker 1 (01:56:05):
Oh my goodness, what was that?
Speaker 2 (01:56:07):
You called height sellers h I before E except after
C H I E t Z. Yes, I really just
did that, y'all. Do not understand how many times I
do that every single day. That's Arkansas. That's Arkansas public
(01:56:29):
school system. That is that is finest eye before E
except after c but uh, it was amazing. And one
night he walks in like this dude brings in state legislators, congressman, senators.
I worked a private supper for Galen, the owner of
(01:56:49):
the town and the governor of Arkansas one night. Crazy stuff.
So like he walks in with the crowd of thirty
and sits down, and I'm the server and I've got
to go through the specials and take everybody's order. And
I just bombed it bomb in front of a group
(01:57:13):
of millionaires and billionaires. And and of course he was
just like, calm down, this is what we want to eat.
We just want steak and wine. Just bring a steak
and wine. I was like, yes, sir, and he would
tip exorbitantly. But that was literally the most important man,
(01:57:43):
next to Jesus H. Christ himself I've ever been in
the presence of I mean, the dude literally owned the
town I lived in. It doesn't get much more important
than that. You could be the governor of Arkansas, sure,
but you got to vacate that seat. He owns the
dirt on which I live, and I just messed up
(01:58:06):
telling this man what he's about to have for supper.
Speaker 1 (01:58:09):
He too getting strive. That's pretty cool.
Speaker 2 (01:58:11):
I guess you got another level of stress when you
realize you have to because I wasn't only a server,
I was also a cook. I would much rather be
his server fifteen times out of ten than have to
cook his supper because we're stressful than having to serve
millionaires and billionaires their food. Oh it's not exactly a
(01:58:38):
medium rare or a mid rare plus or and these
fancy excuse me, and these fancy fuckers knew exactly what
they were doing. They're coming to Wilson, Arkansas and ordering
like a Pittsburgh snake. I want to I want a
mid rare plus.
Speaker 4 (01:58:56):
What you want?
Speaker 1 (01:58:59):
Read want to?
Speaker 2 (01:59:02):
That's that's that's what I got for you, dude. It's
either moving, it's a little bloody, or it's leather. That's
that's the options I've got for you. You know what
I'm saying. And and like I'm having to come up
with the extravagant plates to satisfy millionaires and billionaires. That's
a level of pressure that you're just really not ready
(01:59:25):
for as a regular country ass Bumpkin in Northeast Arkansas,
working at a at a food joint. You know it's
not McDonald's, but this isn't This isn't Gordon Ramsay's you know,
kitchen and kail or whatever the hell he calls it. Like,
I wasn't ready for Kyle Man like that serious I was.
(01:59:48):
When overcooked his steak, he was gonna evict my mama.
Speaker 1 (01:59:55):
The struggle is real.
Speaker 4 (01:59:59):
You gotta tell him, you gotta listen. I'm serving you
a Pittsburgh steak right with. It's going to be served
on a on a on a bed on a on
a bed of of like some fancy mashed potatoes with.
Speaker 2 (02:00:15):
What's what's the rice that they like? The rice.
Speaker 3 (02:00:22):
Rice plap with with the with the little uh what
do you call that rice that you you you do?
I can't think of risotto. It's called risotto. It's called risotto.
That's yeah, with that drizzle with.
Speaker 2 (02:00:39):
Like cucumber, come quiet risotto or some crazy ship. Yeah
no you you what? What? Really?
Speaker 1 (02:00:47):
What?
Speaker 3 (02:00:47):
What'll really get him going?
Speaker 1 (02:00:48):
Hank?
Speaker 3 (02:00:49):
Next time you do that?
Speaker 4 (02:00:50):
It's called an adrina chrome caspacho. Yeah, there you go,
and it's served cold.
Speaker 2 (02:00:56):
I'll remember the happiest, one of the happies.
Speaker 3 (02:00:58):
It's served cold.
Speaker 2 (02:01:00):
Yeah, and quit on that man, you do not. I
literally looked at this man and his eyes in the
orifices to his soul, and I say, you do not
pay me enough to care. I quit And I quit.
Speaker 1 (02:01:20):
Oh you did?
Speaker 2 (02:01:21):
Oh yes, I walked smooth off that I got paid
eleven dollars and fifteen cents an hour every two weeks.
Speaker 1 (02:01:28):
Oh my gosh, for its grits. Grits. That's where I
was from Alabama this morning, month ago.
Speaker 2 (02:01:35):
We did grits. Grit he did grits. That's right, you're
from Alabama originally my dad I went to Auburn.
Speaker 1 (02:01:45):
He went to Auburn, And uh so there's a.
Speaker 2 (02:01:49):
I can. I can. I can get down with Auburn
more than I can get down with with Alabama.
Speaker 1 (02:01:53):
Yeah, yeah, that's fine.
Speaker 2 (02:01:55):
But uh yeah, war Eagle, I can. I can say
war Eagle even though Auburn and Arkansas don't have the
friendliest of rivalries. But I'm originally from Mississippi, so we're neighbors, now,
are you.
Speaker 1 (02:02:09):
Yeah, that's fine. That was a big rivalry. That was good.
That was good. And then the Redskins and Cowboys were big.
Who for Eagles? Who's your biggest rivalry? Because that was
for US Cowboys. I learned who's that?
Speaker 2 (02:02:24):
But you know how it is? Yeah, Eagles Cowboys is
the biggest, But you know how it is with Dallas
suit It doesn't matter who you are in the NFC East,
it's a bitter. It's a bitter rivalry with all Cowboys
except for the Giants, Like is the Giants even because
(02:02:45):
in order to be a rival, it's gotta be competitive,
and they just had competitive since I was eight years ago,
I think, because I think it was one ye didn't
they have who was who was that? That that running
(02:03:07):
back they had when they had Plexico Buris and Eli Oh.
I remember being so scared of that man because he
was just big and strong, like he was King Henry
before King Henry was even in college. Like I can't, Yeah,
(02:03:29):
that's what I'm talking about. Oh man, I can't. I
can picture him, but I cannot think of his name.
Oh it was, I'm gonna have to look it up
because like he was one of those guys he was,
Like I imagine how defenses feel playing against Josh Jacob's,
playing against Saquon, playing against Derrick Henry like he was
(02:03:52):
the running back that when when the Giants took the field,
it was like, damn, here we go again on this
wild right because it was four quarters of up the middle.
Speaker 1 (02:04:06):
That was like Riggins back with the skins. Yeah, because
here the diesel.
Speaker 2 (02:04:10):
He was awesome.
Speaker 1 (02:04:10):
It was just fun to watch him just plow through
and then I have like ten guys on his back
and he's still pushing forward, getting some more yards, get
some more yards.
Speaker 2 (02:04:19):
Yep.
Speaker 1 (02:04:21):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (02:04:24):
Brandon Jacobs, Oh yeah, mas, Brandon Jacobs is who I
was thinking of. I imagine he's got to be some
kin to Josh Jacobs because they have very very similar gameplays.
I wouldn't be surprised.
Speaker 1 (02:04:40):
Relations Yeah, that'd be awesome. When the Cowboys are not
related related, that would have been cool.
Speaker 2 (02:04:52):
That would have been cool because their game is very similar,
just big obstructed. So back in twenty seventeen, twenty eighteen,
the Philadelphia Eagles drafted a kid from well, I call
(02:05:13):
him a kid. He was a grown man then, but
a guy from Australia by the name of Jordan Myle
a lotta, a rugby star who had never even looked
at a football field. An American football field.
Speaker 1 (02:05:31):
This is like one of those Hallmark stories right where
he's something.
Speaker 2 (02:05:34):
When when they drafted him, their own lips of being
a rugby player were all over the internet. He was
an amazing rugby player. There's clips of Jordan Myle a
lot of running down the field with the ball in
a rugby match and he's dragging five guys, and guys,
this is rugby. They don't have pads, they don't have helmets.
Speaker 1 (02:05:57):
The screw.
Speaker 2 (02:05:57):
They're out there negad as a jaybir just running and
and when they drafted him, I was like, oh my god,
we've got Australian Mike Alstatt. We did it. You can
just give us every Super Bowl from here on out.
So this man retires because we're just gonna give him
the ball and nobody could tackle him. And then we
(02:06:20):
put him right right, But but we didn't. We didn't
put him as a full back. We didn't put him
as a running back. Tim They put him as a
left tackle exactly exactly. I mean, don't don't get me wrong.
He's like six eight, three hundred and something pounds. He's
(02:06:41):
a behemoth of a man. But but you see these
clips of him literally dragging grown men in rugby games.
I watched Mike Alstatt do that for the Buccaneers for years,
and Mike Astart is revered in the game. I love
Mike Alstott. You can't hardly name a colder running back
then Mike Alstott because he went looking for contact. Mike
(02:07:05):
Allstart would go out of his way to hit you,
and he was running with the ball like he would
see you on the other side of the field and
he knew you were the only person left to stop him,
and he would go towards you instead of just going
for the touchdown, like he wanted to run you over.
And so that's what I was expecting. Jordan my alloted
(02:07:28):
to beat Oh dude, weird, it's amazing. Well, no, that
was no, that was Doug Peterson. That was I think
Doug Peterson's first year. But we had a offensive line
coach by the name of Jeff Stoutlin, who if you
(02:07:53):
if you look up Jeff Stoutlin, it's gonna have a
picture of God because he is the best offensive line
coach he Jeff Statlin took a rugby player from Australia
who had never even seen an American football field and
has turned him into the best left tackle in the
(02:08:15):
league today.
Speaker 1 (02:08:17):
Did he tell y'ah the whole line, the whole defensive line.
Speaker 2 (02:08:21):
Jordan Maya Lootta is the best defensive or best offensive
left tackle according to PFF in the foot in the
na oh wow, okay, about six years. Like he's only
been in the league five six years, and he is
the best left tackle in the league. A kid that
has never touched American football came over here and just
(02:08:46):
is disgusting at left tackle. You know how good how
people talk about Pinay Seul and Lane Johnson, these iconic
right tackles. That's Jordan my A Lota. But he plays
the blind side, so it's not as sexy. He's not
Michael Lore, so he didn't get a fake Hollywood movie
(02:09:08):
made about him. But his story, I would argue, is
a hell of a lot better than Michael Lord's. Yeah,
because Michael Lore had had the the Tooley's to scam
off of his name and.
Speaker 1 (02:09:26):
Made him sound so ignorant in the movie though, didn't
they that He's like, oh, I have to do it,
like she's teaching and how to do the plays and stuff.
Speaker 2 (02:09:33):
And like like he was like the black Forest Gump
or something that was too bad. Yeah, yeah, but but
I just I think it's amazing what Jeff Stoutlin has
done with Jordan my Lota and and it's it's incredible.
Like Sunday we are going to witness a truly amazing
football game.
Speaker 1 (02:09:53):
Do amazing football games.
Speaker 2 (02:09:55):
I mean, you have a team in the Eagles that
have the number one defense, the number one rushing attack, and.
Speaker 1 (02:10:05):
Where's Kyle, where's you do? This is your show, right,
this is.
Speaker 2 (02:10:17):
The Eagles have a top five total offense. And you
have on the other side the Redskins, who have a
rookie quarterback who should have been a Heisman. He's a
bunch of like if you, if you, if you let
(02:10:38):
everybody outside of d C till it, the Redskins are
a year away from supposed to be competing for anything,
but here they are.
Speaker 1 (02:10:53):
I mean, if if if Jayden Daniels a rookie, he's
his rookie year, if they go to the Super Bowl,
and if they went, can you imagine? I mean, Cam
Newton was fun, he was awesome to watch, he was exciting,
But can you imagine a rookie his first year going
to the Super Bowl it would.
Speaker 2 (02:11:17):
Now, Don't get me wrong, I can't. I can't root
for it.
Speaker 1 (02:11:26):
For you for it enthusiasm.
Speaker 2 (02:11:30):
If Washington wins Sunday, they will be who I'm pulling
for in the Super Bowl. That's cool.
Speaker 1 (02:11:36):
You got to say that.
Speaker 2 (02:11:38):
I don't want to see Kansas City three. As much
as I respect Kansas City, I don't want to see
him do it because what I've seen from the referees
over the last two years questionable. And and don't get
me wrong, Tim, I know the league is rigged. I
(02:11:59):
know the referee do a lot for Kansas City. Yeah,
let's be real.
Speaker 1 (02:12:04):
If I can say something, Hank ahead, seriously, I want
to tell you how much I appreciated doing the football league.
It was a great distraction. There is so much with
the election, with everything going on. That fantasy football league
was so much fun. It was remember the meme you
did it? There was one someone did at the very
very beginning of the league where they said, uh, the top,
(02:12:28):
like the top. The rookie players are in the top,
and then the old timers who played fantasy football before
down to the bottom and stuff. They said, just wait
for it and then just get moving up, moving up,
and it was fun. It was a great distraction. And
like you said, maybe it's rigged or whatever, but you
shout out to like Kirby Sneak because he's been on
with Catalysts about with with with baseball, the pitcher and stuff.
(02:12:52):
But it's just, I mean, they're honest and there. I mean,
some of them are really just. Some of them are awesome,
like you were saying, some just some more so awesome.
But it was a great distraction. It was a fun group.
It was Catalyst. I think I think he got I
think the computer picks for him right and then he
(02:13:13):
can get it.
Speaker 2 (02:13:15):
So somehow in the year twenty twenty four, when I
know the man has an iPhone, he's going to hit
me with, oh, I'm sorry, I lost my I lost
my password, Catalyst.
Speaker 1 (02:13:38):
And he didn't, I don't think, which is even funnier.
Speaker 2 (02:13:42):
Not about the draft. I think he forgot, and then
on the password. If we're being honest, Catalysts, I'm ribbing
in your side. I hope he's with us next year
because next year's Fantasy League, I'm really hoping that we
add four to six more people. We had ten players
(02:14:04):
this year, and like we were talking about to kick
the show off. It was the first time I've done
fantasy football. Pierce.
Speaker 1 (02:14:12):
Did you enjoy it? Did you have fun?
Speaker 2 (02:14:14):
I loved it. It was amazing because I actually watched
more NFL this year than I have in the last
fifteen years.
Speaker 1 (02:14:23):
As what Kyle was saying too, that you're watching the
other games and you've got an investment in and.
Speaker 2 (02:14:30):
I only watched the Eagles games, and that's it. I
don't want to see nothing else. I might have it
on a background noise, But this year I watched just
as many Ravens games as I watched Eagles games because
Lamar Jackson was my quarterback, just as many Raiders games
as I did Eagles games because I have Brock Bauers.
(02:14:52):
I watched of Texans games. I watched Broncos games. I've
literally watched games throughout the entire year from almost all
the teams because at one point in time I had
a player from that team on there and I wanted
to know in real time how they were doing. And
(02:15:14):
it was really fun and I feel like it it
brought back a level of fun that I haven't had
with the NFL in a while because because because I
remember on Draft night, I had the I had the
(02:15:37):
I had the ability to choose A J. Brown as
my wide receiver one, and looking back now I should
have done it, but I was thinking, Hey, you can't
draft the entire Eagles lineup.
Speaker 1 (02:15:51):
That's what I think.
Speaker 2 (02:15:53):
That was. My name was so good because I had
I had one. Barkley had the Eagles defense. I had,
Jake Elliott I had And when I didn't choose AJ
Brown when it came back up, I chose Davonte Smith.
Speaker 1 (02:16:11):
That's not bad.
Speaker 2 (02:16:12):
Davontae Smith and A J. Brown since they've been together,
have both been thousand yard receivers, so I thought I
was safe. Well, Davante had a down year this year.
AJ had a down year this year. He had a
better year than Davante. But it's kind of what happens
when you have a running back that goes for two
thousand plus yards.
Speaker 1 (02:16:32):
Yeah, that's true.
Speaker 2 (02:16:33):
I mean I could have had Jalen Hurt Saquon Aj.
I could have almost had an entire Eagles lineup. I
was like, you can't do that because your bye week
is going to screw you. And I've never I've never
done this before, so I was literally winging it going
off of just the knowledge that I had, you know,
(02:16:55):
off the cuff of my head, and we made it work.
We said we got a third place finish, but I'm
really hoping that we got third place finish.
Speaker 1 (02:17:06):
We the Royal week, some of us the other week.
Speaker 2 (02:17:12):
Because because of a certain lady who shall name. I
might put no elbows, but.
Speaker 1 (02:17:20):
Yeah, but the challenge I had, I had Ji and
Daniels and Josh Allen.
Speaker 2 (02:17:27):
What do you do I mean for my boy Sam
Donald on my bitch, oh man, between Sam Donald and
and and and Lamar Jackson, you make that choice?
Speaker 1 (02:17:39):
Oh my gosh, and jack he had some weedbelievable found.
Speaker 2 (02:17:43):
Out halfway through the halfway through the year, I was like,
I need to be picking up some of these players
simply so somebody else can't have them.
Speaker 1 (02:17:53):
Yeah, I never thought about that.
Speaker 2 (02:17:56):
I was guard players.
Speaker 1 (02:18:00):
Yeah, horrible.
Speaker 2 (02:18:01):
I had a couple of players riding the pine that
would have held significantly on other teams.
Speaker 1 (02:18:08):
But that's horrible.
Speaker 2 (02:18:10):
Hey, hey, I'm trying to win, baby, and if I
can't beat you heads up, then maybe I can take
something away. You at least can't go get this guy
because I've got him on my bench. And if you
want him, You're gonna have to trade me something significant.
Speaker 1 (02:18:24):
Ah, that is good. That's a great strategy that I'm
starting to think for next season what we're gonna And
I heard that there might be a wager next year possibly.
Speaker 2 (02:18:33):
Oh yes, see, that's what I'm hoping. I'm hoping we
can get a minimum of fourteen people. That'd be cool.
Maximum of sixteen. I don't I think many more than sixteen.
It gets kind of crazy. Sixteen might be too much,
but I'm willing to take that jump from ten to
sixteen next year. But I'm thinking about a fifteen to
(02:18:54):
twenty dollars buying. Nothing crazy, right, but still there's.
Speaker 1 (02:18:57):
A little more incentive for Catalyst.
Speaker 2 (02:18:59):
Joke not Yeah, And I understand it wasn't just Catalysts,
let's be I want to make that clear. It was
when I'm not picking on Catalyst. It wasn't just him,
but a couple of the guys were had straight up
told me, Hey, your league isn't a priority because it's
a free league. I hate dude. I get it, you're
(02:19:23):
in five other leagues that you paid to be in.
I don't expect you to prioritize my free league over
that one. But maybe maybe next year with a wager.
Speaker 1 (02:19:34):
Yeah, we can.
Speaker 2 (02:19:38):
Increase the competitiveness. And I'm thinking about trying to come
up with some custom rules to add a little extra
spiciness to the to the mix.
Speaker 1 (02:19:52):
But that's something that can share some of your ideas,
because I'm intrigued now.
Speaker 2 (02:19:58):
Like punish, like like the winner, like because I was thinking,
if we can get fourteen to sixteen people to buy
in the first, second and third can win a monetary prize,
but then also ninth, the last place will also win
a prize, like when they're entry feedback or something. You
(02:20:19):
know what I'm saying, Like that's cool making up like
you can't, you can't. Just when Kyle was eliminated from
the league, I was like, dude, give me Courtland Sutton.
You don't need them, you're done. I'm trying give me Courtland.
I'll give you joey back of donuts off my bench.
(02:20:40):
And he gave me Cortland Sutton and and that significantly
helped my team. There ain't gonna be none of that
enough for Sconda.
Speaker 1 (02:20:48):
Did it didn't help enough to get second?
Speaker 2 (02:20:50):
Or you know what too, you know what, you know what,
you know what You're it anymore. Your entry fee has
been doubled about that, but uh no, Like I want
to I wanna before the season starts. I want to
get everybody that pays to be in it wanna wanna.
(02:21:10):
We can do it live, we can do it not recording.
But I want to get this all together online and
like hash this out. What rules do y'all want to see?
How do y'all want to play this league? Because even
though I might be the commissioner, I don't know what
I'm doing, y'all might y'all might be a part of
you know, another league, and like you like how they
(02:21:31):
do this, and you want to bring that over here,
bring it to the table if we all vote on it,
you know cool? I want it. I want it to
be more fun so that people take it more seriously
and it becomes I want people to walk away from
the end of it like I did from this year.
Like man, I really gained a lot from this fantasy
(02:21:53):
league this year simply because it forced me to watch
other games that I never would have watched. Like who's
watching a random week seven Browns versus Titans. Nobody unless
you unless you've got Kareem Hunt or well he's with
the chiefs now. But you know what I'm saying, unless
(02:22:13):
you got just random player from whatever team, you might
tune in and pay a little more attention than you would.
But hopefully next next season we can get some some
some better, some better rules, some well not maybe not better,
but so some more interesting rules. We can we can
get some money on the line. We can all hammer
(02:22:34):
out what we want from the league, and hopefully it
grows and it's at least just as fun as it
was this year.
Speaker 3 (02:22:44):
Fun.
Speaker 1 (02:22:44):
That was the fastest draft that I've ever saying, that went,
that flew by, because we used to do it. I've
done it before where it was on that big whiteboard
and everything's written out and your just picking and at
the time everyone's looking things up, and I mean it
was so low and people on the phone and all this.
I mean, this was so fast.
Speaker 2 (02:23:05):
This is well, I didn't know what to expect. I
really didn't know what to expect. I literally winged my
entire draft. I feel like, I mean I came out
with Lamar Jackson and Saquon and brought Bowers.
Speaker 1 (02:23:21):
Like.
Speaker 2 (02:23:23):
One thing I didn't understand was I had like the
second or third most points forward and like the second
least points against. I had three or four of the
number one players in their respective position categories and still
one third place in the league. With that, I can't
(02:23:49):
do anything. But what it was was I would sit
players and then they would go off.
Speaker 1 (02:23:56):
Oh oh my gosh, are you kidding me? That happened
so many I lost my half a point one time,
point five half a point.
Speaker 2 (02:24:06):
I lot, and I was like to because of kneeling
at the end of the game. It's the most hard.
Speaker 1 (02:24:15):
Just just run and just a couple more anything. Yeah,
I had it off. Oh my gosh, I just kill her.
Yeah yeah, yeah.
Speaker 2 (02:24:25):
Hopefully next year we have a lot more fun with it.
I sincerely thank everybody that was in the in the
league this year, and there's an open invitation for all
of y'all to come back for the second second year,
and I really do. I hope we I hope we
get more people in and I can't wait for it.
(02:24:46):
I'm gonna be doing a fantasy baseball league if anybody
wants in on that. If you don't know anything about baseball,
come come do it, because you might just learn a
thing or two about the greatest game on Earth. But
this tale we've we've been going for almost two and
(02:25:06):
a half hours. I think it's just about time we
wrapped this up.
Speaker 1 (02:25:10):
Kyle.
Speaker 2 (02:25:11):
Kyle's had some some some things pop off here in
the last few minutes. That's why he hasn't been with us.
He's still listening to us, he just he can't be
with us on screen right now. So so, Kyle, we
love you and Ashley and the kids, all of our love.
We hope I'm in last next year on the league.
(02:25:31):
I hope you have nothing but injured reserve players on
your team. The Cowboys suck and I hope you know that.
Speaker 1 (02:25:42):
Hate them Cowboys?
Speaker 2 (02:25:43):
Yeah what they number a box of rocks. But I
love you like a son of a bitch. I'm just
talking noise because he can't say anything to the contrary,
y queer.
Speaker 1 (02:26:00):
Yeah, it only is Yeah, Landry, we did have respect
for him, you know, and everything like that an era
that was that.
Speaker 2 (02:26:12):
Well, I can tell you one thing. Sunday afternoon, I'm
gonna be locked into my TV. I will be thinking
about you. I will be sending nothing but negative vibe.
I'm just playing it. Like I told a fellow earlier
at the gas station, I just hope everybody comes out healthy.
I don't want to see anybody get hurt. It's gonna
(02:26:34):
be what it's gonna be. I tell my wife all
the time because I want it so bad. It's almost
guaranteed did not happen. So I wouldn't be surprised if
the Eagles flop this Sunday game. It's regardless. I'm gonna
be in my Jason Kelsey jersey and I'm gonna be
losing my mind and my wife's gonna be laughing at me.
Speaker 1 (02:26:54):
I've got my old my little little slippers, and you
see the little clean in their old warning. Is that cute? Oh?
I had so much? You sent that that the story
or the video the thing clip real quick where it
said the guy who had all that Eagles stuff, he
(02:27:15):
walked up and that in his daughter's room and he
redid it, did all that stuff. And then I was thinking,
I don't know if you saw my response, but I'm like,
can you imagine? Yes? Then they changed the team's name.
Speaker 2 (02:27:25):
What ye.
Speaker 1 (02:27:27):
All this red skin? I mean it was so I've
got more stuff in stores than I could ever imagine
going to.
Speaker 2 (02:27:33):
Bring the Red Skins back, I hope, So why not?
Speaker 1 (02:27:36):
I'm gonna give you. We love the Skins, Hail to
the Redskins. I mean that's there's nothing derogatory or negative
about it. I mean rivalrying down. I mean cowboys and Indians.
What's more American than that? Give me a break. And
they weren't even offended. No one was offended, even like.
Speaker 2 (02:27:54):
The name.
Speaker 1 (02:27:55):
Yes, that's like, what is it with the with the
aunt Jemima? They took off like are you kidding me?
That was in the Land of Lakes. They they kicked
off the Indian and kept the land.
Speaker 2 (02:28:07):
Yeah, no kidd, no kidding. Oh my god, missus Town,
I can't thank you and notes for coming and hanging
out with us tonight. This has been amazing. Oh thanks
for handing me my my ass and fantasy football this year.
Speaker 1 (02:28:24):
That was to let me win. Hank, Come on, I didn't.
Speaker 2 (02:28:28):
Promise you that was not the case, but like you
said earlier, we'll go with that. Sure that sounds good.
Speaker 1 (02:28:35):
But thanks for talking. I enjoyed it.
Speaker 2 (02:28:38):
