Speaker 1 (00:01):
Sports podcast period at six six at six you know,
six a six six at six at six a six,
(00:27):
shout out six six.
Speaker 2 (00:34):
Down on the.
Speaker 1 (00:34):
Next with geek emomember. You already know what it is.
It's your boy, Molly mo and this is the best
Dan sports podcast period. This is a O six the show.
We have a fantastic show for y'all today. As always,
I am joined by my co hosts to the left,
former yass super Chinese food Corner Sore and the heavyweight
(00:59):
champion Another World makes some noise. Real, guys, well, I'm
back another week, another week, and my co hosts of
the right must say I'm high football captain, inventor of
the San Cheez Special, the Suning Superman himself make some
(01:22):
noise for sending joining us. I feel like it's been
a long time in the making. People will always be
throwing names at me, and it's crazy if you be
throwing me names at me and and they're like yo,
you know, like bro, trust me, right, it's work worked,
(01:43):
you know. The head coach of Chelsea Basketball make some
noise for seeing anybody.
Speaker 2 (01:56):
It has been a long time. It's been a while.
Now I'm happy to be here for real.
Speaker 1 (02:00):
We're gonna chop it up. We're definitely gonna go through
your your accolades and your journey through the basketball world.
Don't worry. But first, as we speak, we got like
breaking news and and you know what I mean, So
the NBA is kind of hot. Yeah right now, I
feel like before we get through all the trades and stuff,
NBA Finals, quick little recap. Honestly, I know the last
(02:25):
couple of episodes I made jokes about like not caring
and like, you know what I mean, it's indie, It's
okay see, and then like it kind of made like
blew up in my face because it ended up being
one of the best finals we've seen it quite sometimes
watched the I think the NB at NBA wrote rolled
some sixers on that, like the okay, see, if it
(02:45):
goes seven, we should be good. They went seven, You
got your ratings, referee, you know, means by any means?
Got that from the bucket. David's stern, like, listen, this.
Speaker 3 (02:56):
Is going except we're making money.
Speaker 1 (03:01):
You got the both two small markets. I gotta do
something right, right. But the Sunday, again, that's a lot
of this episode is gonna be a lot of me
getting proven wrong because I didn't believe thunder until literally
I called it yesterday. All right, they won a championship.
I did say Celtics Thunday.
Speaker 3 (03:19):
Yeah, but well obviously ticking everybody out.
Speaker 2 (03:23):
So I'm not gonna lie. I wanted that Lakers and Celtics.
Speaker 1 (03:25):
But I mean.
Speaker 3 (03:29):
More than every single season.
Speaker 1 (03:30):
I love happy when the group chat literally first round
talking about like yo, a sweet and the finals wouldn't
even be that much money. We're in the first round.
Lakers didn't make it. We made it to the second, so,
like you know, I don't know, it's weird. It's the
seventh different champion in the last like seven years.
Speaker 2 (03:49):
It's hard to even make it back to back to back,
you know what I mean. I was arguing with my boys,
like you can't even get that back to back when
the last time is partly what Golden State probably, yeah,
go back to just to make it. Then I even
went back to it just to make it there. You know,
it's hard injuries, you know.
Speaker 3 (04:05):
The healthiest team goes longest.
Speaker 1 (04:07):
Were gonna have to see another three p No, no,
because I don't want money, But like I was watching,
I think whatever the morning shows are in the ESPN.
I don't know what the names are Cole Pizza, No,
but I was watching it and literally like one of
the questions like, is this the start of a dynasty?
I was like, Yo, they haven't even had the parade yet.
(04:28):
We like they won one. Can we just like relax
and I think I don't think there's going to be
a dynasty. It's tough. The problem is with Okay, see
they're young as hell, they're talented as hell, the top
the bottom. Like you got people who play both sides
of the floors. You got your m v P. Who
(04:50):
he just did the with the Jordan when he did
the finals, every b regularly patscoring title, he did all that.
That's crazy.
Speaker 2 (05:00):
Everything.
Speaker 1 (05:01):
So when you guys really like that, this was his season.
They dominated, the Thunder dominated all year. Did you did
you see them in the locker room that looked like
they want a high school championship? That's crazy, right, Chris
was like, I got you.
Speaker 3 (05:21):
I didn't.
Speaker 2 (05:21):
They probably got picked to right.
Speaker 3 (05:23):
They got everything, man, Yeah, they coming up to team
can last for way longer than any other, like championship,
like the Bucks, when they want a championship. We didn't
have the same, like this is going to be a dynasty.
Oh yeah, they got there, but you know, the Bucks
can't come back to that the Thunder they have everything
top to bottom.
Speaker 1 (05:44):
Just because they did it, they can come back. But
they just kind of were too young for the playoff.
Speaker 3 (05:48):
I thought this season they would make it far, like
what's the conference finals because they are such a young team, Like, okay, yeah,
but someth's gonna put you to seven and see if
you can actually overcome.
Speaker 1 (06:01):
They did that. I ain't with Haliburton doing again again
me pie in my face. I was like, Jaylen Whillier
was really not that guy. Listen, you got forty in
the finals. You will never hear a word from me,
Like you know what I mean. You scored forty in
the finals. You validated. I'm like, I don't know, Kevin Way,
I was like boring.
Speaker 2 (06:20):
I don't know if I wasn't even watch it.
Speaker 1 (06:21):
I didn't watch game one. I think I watched. The
only thing that got me interested after Game one is
because Halley hit that haliburtn hit that Chot. But other
than that, like I was gonna, I think I was out.
I didn't even know the game was on.
Speaker 2 (06:32):
I think I fell asleep.
Speaker 1 (06:33):
Yeah, gave the late I mean I finished.
Speaker 2 (06:37):
Sep I'm knocked out the first half.
Speaker 1 (06:41):
Check it in the morning.
Speaker 3 (06:42):
Who won exactly?
Speaker 1 (06:46):
It was going? They did have that because this team
was super successful. They rolled the kind of like Boston
was last year. We just kind of rolled through everybody,
and you know what I mean, no one really like
messed with us, but they would started comparing them like
he's one of the greatest teams, and you know, everybody's hit,
hit or missing. With Steven A's opinion, but he was
just like, they're not better than the Lakers, where with
(07:06):
Shaq and Kobe, I couldn't beat the Jordans Bulls, they
can't beat probably Lebron and Kyrie couldn't beat the Warriors.
So it's kind of like, how great are they? Like,
yeah they were.
Speaker 2 (07:16):
I saw something they were comparing them to like the Celtics,
Like they got their D White, they got their JB. Man,
they got that down.
Speaker 3 (07:23):
You know what I'm saying, Like that would have been
a perfect matchup. I know, injuries taking away all the hope.
Speaker 1 (07:30):
It's clearly it's it's clearly it's been eight torn achilles
this year. Crazy, what's that about clearly that's been there. Yeah,
that is the African bro. I don't know why what's happening.
He's in every picture of someone's achilles getting torn, like
ye every I'm talking about every single picture.
Speaker 3 (07:54):
It's like, all right, okay, this coincidence that it was MASD.
Speaker 2 (07:57):
Spooky tooist with Damian Lillard Tatum all wearing numbers zero,
I G don't commensate, Like that's what happens when you
when they had going with his eyes back when you
prayed to the double happened.
Speaker 1 (08:16):
I'm like, yeah, I believe it. Like it's the pace
some play is fun and all to watch and shooting threes,
running up and down it's a you know, it messes
up your legs, bro, but they've always done the pain
(08:37):
leads so much faster. It's the shoes some people hasn't
been a big a long time, I know, but a
lot of people wish was rare.
Speaker 3 (08:45):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (08:45):
Now it's the new A c O. Yeah, the year.
It's like there's an argument online saying that like is
it the low top sneakers. Everybody's rocking.
Speaker 2 (08:56):
I mean so much high level basketball, that's what it is.
Playing Aliburn is playing us A right, Taylor's playing in
USA live on that team too. No, I don't think
it was on that, but just playing so much basketball,
you know, at that level, it's tough.
Speaker 1 (09:12):
No stop trying to trying to be the face of
the league. And the thing is like Achilles tears was
reserved to like the old guys who was just kind
of working to push it, like your body gave out?
How old is Haliburton Jat even thirty yet.
Speaker 2 (09:29):
I'm not gonna lie playing playing some basketball. It was
like some some ship for fun, some basketball tournament. It
was on Saturday. This dude just came on the court.
It was like a corporate thing.
Speaker 1 (09:39):
Man.
Speaker 2 (09:39):
He just came on the court. Nobody was around. He
ran boom. You know, he thought somebody shot him. He
thought somebody threw something at him. He was like, yo,
something y'all do something that He was like, He's like nah,
it was like my leg's done. Like it was an Achilles.
Speaker 1 (09:51):
He knew it, like, I'm like, yo, that is crazy
because you see it on camera. You see it right
there and you see that's just pop and it's it's
just it's unfortunate.
Speaker 2 (10:00):
And once he said that because my boy, he tore
his achilles. He was like, yeah, that's the achilles, Like
that's everybody's reaction. It feels like somebody do son at
you or something like that kick in the.
Speaker 1 (10:08):
Back of the foot or something, and that's literally like hoping.
The minute that happens, you know you're out for a
year like it used to be a career over.
Speaker 3 (10:15):
It depends on how because it's it's like a rubber band,
so if it goes all the way up, you have
to cut through the calves and everything to get to
it and put.
Speaker 2 (10:24):
It back around play to you see it.
Speaker 3 (10:27):
But I'm like, yeah, man, So hopefully for them it's
not They didn't pop off too far. Can prepare real quick.
Speaker 1 (10:34):
That's if I'm either of these guys. Tatum Halibird, season off. Yeah,
don't play next season. There's nothing to play for it.
Do not play Haliburn honestly, like, that's the one I
feel the balls back, because like you were, he was
in the loss. Because if he doesn't, if he sits
(10:56):
out and doesn't play, we wrote the hell out of
him the in and it goes nuts calling him soe
usually that's but that's what it looks the same thing. Everybody.
You got a cap string. So but you know, you
can't blame the guy games I'm playing. Yeah, that's my Yeah,
(11:17):
absolutely let the team in three unfortunately played the ultimate
price because that's the worst case scenario. Will It's literally
that's exactly what happened, right, So that's tough. Took that chance.
Speaker 3 (11:26):
He's again, he's still young.
Speaker 1 (11:29):
Speaking of k D. He's not on Phoenix anymore. Oh yeah,
he's on the Houston Rockets. He's on the Rockets, and
I think that team looks scary. He was in Texas somewhere.
Speaker 3 (11:43):
Yeah, well the Rockets had a better deal for them.
Speaker 2 (11:46):
Yeah, it's just crazy.
Speaker 1 (11:47):
He can go wherever he wants.
Speaker 2 (11:49):
Bro Nobody says anything. You know what I mean?
Speaker 1 (11:51):
If you listen to that my episodes, I say a lot.
Speaker 2 (11:54):
It's my boys too. I'll be going back And he's like, yo,
he still won two chips. He still finds. I'm like, yo,
of course he's gonna be what are you gonna do?
You ain't gonna double steph, you ain't gonna double clay
double Clay boom, kick it out the k D double
game like it's easy pounds m v P.
Speaker 1 (12:09):
Like was covered it's too hard.
Speaker 3 (12:11):
The first time even open.
Speaker 1 (12:13):
But they time he gets his way again, which usually
NBA stars get their way down in the NBA in Texas,
they sent him to Houston, and now I think like
before Houston was good, they just didn't have that I'm
gonna whatever happening the finisher. Now they have him, and
(12:34):
they were young and they gave up nothing. I mean,
Jalen Green. I was never high on him, honestly. I
just thought he was just like he's still young though, yeah,
they're still something like you know what I mean. But
I felt like that team was like the thunder last year,
kind of like maybe a little before like yeah, little
maybe a year before, coach.
Speaker 3 (12:58):
And that's what's crazy, because you got this team that
was basically last got him to second second.
Speaker 1 (13:03):
With a team that they're all raw talent, like the
and they just got their ship. They just got their
s g A, which is Kevin Durant. They just got
their superstar. It could have been no, probably could have
grown to be something better. Time to show well when
you haven't changed to Kevin durand sorry, Buddy, long have
(13:25):
still been next year with the same they would have
been a good top four team in the West that
without them, but now they might be right right behind. Okay,
see they might be the second best. You got k
D without giving up Thompson. You didn't give up what's
that the four who plays the Smith Jr?
Speaker 2 (13:43):
Against Tough?
Speaker 1 (13:45):
Yeah, you kept him, You kept everybody you got rid of.
Jalen Green, an All Star. You kept him. Man, he's
probably gonna be like better next year too.
Speaker 2 (13:56):
It's just the West is just crazy, man, you know.
I mean it's odd out. This is really war every
day everything.
Speaker 3 (14:04):
It's crazy. If you look back all the amazing teams
and some don't have rings because yeah, because they fought
so hard and they end up losing to either the Lakers.
Speaker 1 (14:13):
I wouldn't be surprised if Phoenix is better next season
than they're all guards huh No, But they'll figure something.
I think.
Speaker 2 (14:21):
I know they're not done trading, but something.
Speaker 3 (14:24):
They got five guards right now.
Speaker 1 (14:26):
They've always had five guards. So remember they had like
three point guards I they had, but so they had
like seventeen point guards. I think they played Bradley Beal
like John wall I don't know.
Speaker 2 (14:39):
They want you never know what about that one that
was saying there was fighting and they would be.
Speaker 1 (14:47):
Talking about Kevin anything nigga, Like, bro, like you can
literally tweet Kevin Durant right now. He might answer you
my nigga black might speak about jud but he literally
I saw I'm on Twitter and I see you going
back and forth with Kevin Durant. I was like they
really like talking to each other, like like a multiple responses,
not just so like whatever, you know, just kinda hit you.
Speaker 3 (15:11):
Yeah, he plays and goes home, goes.
Speaker 1 (15:15):
Bas with He's just like you went after Booget, like
you lie, You're lie. I was like, Bro, I hope
you niggas fought and oh something, because you guys didn't
fight on the court.
Speaker 2 (15:24):
I'll tell you that, no fight.
Speaker 1 (15:26):
I think that's I don't understand why that's not considered
like a gigantic failure for Kevin Durant, like having a
team like Phoenix and you didn't. You didn't make the plane.
You didn't even make the plane. It was just like,
all right, where's he going next? No, No, can we
address how he completely failed? Over here with two two
Borderline Hall of Famers next to him, who bill Borderline?
(15:50):
I said Borderline, I said Borderline. Maybe not now at
the beginning of season maybe he was a score leader.
He wizards by him because John's gone, hey with the
whole league. They let him do it, like I don't know.
Speaker 3 (16:12):
I don't know if it's all fam I don't think so.
But either way, yeah, I don't like. Kevin has been
doing this all the time. He goes into a city,
gets it hyped, jo cuts it completely.
Speaker 1 (16:25):
He used to call t Turloans a team obliterator.
Speaker 3 (16:28):
Yeah that might be.
Speaker 1 (16:30):
That might be Kevin Durant bro He obviously fits everywhere though,
but so it hasn't working. He fits everywhere because everywhere
he went he says it's been blown up. He's an
fishing shooter.
Speaker 2 (16:42):
He doesn't change a glorified robin, you know what I'm saying.
Speaker 1 (16:44):
Yeah, he's the best robbin you could ever have. That's
a fair and absolutely you don't have like that out leader.
You think he's like he came in and he said,
Lebron's just gonna take over. He's like, forget it, I'll
just be chilling over here. He's just like, I'm gonna
get my buckets with.
Speaker 2 (17:00):
That team with the like the next man, James Harden
And how do you like?
Speaker 1 (17:04):
And then you want to leave. You go to Phoenix
and you want to leave again because they hurt your feelings.
It's just like, bro, go to Houston. Do we happy?
Do we have expectations for him? Like I don't even know,
Like do people expect Kevin Durant to win? Like I'm
not thinking with this team, they have a chance now.
But if he fails again apparently failing having failing for
(17:26):
Kevin Durant, it doesn't matter. He's not how accountable the
media does not hold Kevin. We got him where he's gonnay.
Speaker 3 (17:33):
We cement to that where he's that he can get
if he wants a championship with the with the rockets
and he's the leading force, Okay, if that's something better,
if he gets that rank, what happens, it's definitely more
valuable than Yeah.
Speaker 1 (17:45):
Yeah, I'm still no lay off. You know what I'm saying,
I lay off a little bit.
Speaker 3 (17:52):
You gotta he got it.
Speaker 1 (17:54):
You got with all my boys.
Speaker 2 (17:56):
He's like, oh, that don't mean with Golden State, Like
you haven't done anything since then.
Speaker 1 (17:59):
Exactly if you win one, I don't care, I don't
n stand. I don't care where he goes. He could
win winning Tim Bunk two Nigga I don't give a fuck.
Just win a championship, bro, I don't care who's on
your team. Just win one before and it don't give
me that you're forty two years old. You're coming off
the bench ship like you gotta like. But Houston expect
(18:19):
you to be it. Am I am I too great?
You expect a top four seed. There were two last year,
number and I think I'll be very generous. I think
you should be a number two seed. If not, I
mean they walking around be number but playing that should and.
Speaker 3 (18:37):
They'll mess around in fire before they doing. Kevin Urant like, Bro, no,
he got you there.
Speaker 1 (18:43):
Go get him back. That was stupid, man. I'm still
mad at that we got Yeah we did.
Speaker 2 (18:51):
Yeah, they still would have won.
Speaker 1 (18:54):
It could have been me. It could have been on
the sideline.
Speaker 3 (18:57):
Jackson had to make no just but also the reason
why we lost one, I feel like because he wasn't
experienced enough. So maybe we have to at right.
Speaker 1 (19:09):
I don't think you would be in that Golden State team.
Speaker 3 (19:11):
They were the better, better coach. I thinks that a
coach cost time outs in the right time.
Speaker 1 (19:18):
I think time mouts was the reason we lost Warriors.
So first anytimeouse like that, but they're playing talking about Yeah,
he's wus for that.
Speaker 3 (19:31):
He's like, just go play, we'll figure it out.
Speaker 1 (19:32):
That always the team come back arm. It's hard to
tell a NBA coach coming off an NBA championship to
change the way you I'm doing before, you know what
I mean, Like, it's just like bro before he hilarious,
just like we just want a championship, hitting all those threes, like, yeah,
(19:53):
we love it when we lose it, Why are we
shooting so many threes? Bro? You can't drive it there
but that you can't, No, no, no, you can't just
switch it up. I got adapt thought the line. I
know what the trades just happened. Something just happened. Presentcas
is gone. Yeah we got nobody fro him Drew. I
(20:14):
like that trade. Yeah, I like that trade.
Speaker 2 (20:18):
Shoot him man, and he's young though young.
Speaker 1 (20:20):
I like that trade so much that I don't understand
what Portland's doing. That's that's how much I enjoy that trade.
Speaker 4 (20:25):
For Portland's celis really, I'm like, I was like, what
I saw that earlier.
Speaker 1 (20:37):
Let's think about it. So Portland's like point of view,
think about this trade. You just got about fifteen, maybe
like ten years older in the position they have about
twenty more million dollars.
Speaker 3 (20:51):
They had no vets.
Speaker 1 (20:52):
Yeah, they probably felt like this is way too young. Yeah,
what's the cost make it? Yeah? Million dollars leading your team.
Speaker 3 (21:02):
Chau still coaching, right, Yo, you're lucky he is, bro.
Speaker 1 (21:09):
Bro, if you weren't someone else coach, you want to
fire twice. We got all these coaches of the years,
but want to fire twice. Now he's in Portland. No
one's paying attention up there. It's really how it is.
Will give you the keys, just figure it out. All
the time.
Speaker 2 (21:24):
I forgot he was a coach.
Speaker 3 (21:27):
The owner.
Speaker 1 (21:28):
Just wait at the end of the season and just
wait to the media. I don't think they noticed. We
sucked it. Ye, you doing what you're doing. That's how
it be. That's a good trade. Listen, Boston needed to
break it up. Unfortunately, that's the way the salurgy can't work.
That's why when I'm arguing, like Nick Leader about the
Lakers have all this money in the world because have
the owners, is that you guys still have the same
fucking second second row second apron luxy tracks. It's the
(21:51):
same thing. Yeah, yeah, I got to get rid of
people too.
Speaker 3 (21:53):
He's willing to pay for it. Who the owner?
Speaker 1 (21:57):
That's what they say. Every owner says that when I
wanted to open the bank, and how much is that tax?
Speaker 5 (22:03):
Look at the Dodge pay that. That's that's the same
one of the Dodges he paying. I I can't pay
for Billy ten billion? What is this motherfucker Bruce Wayne
forty billion from Superman? Let's say, who the is? No
(22:24):
would have looked it up.
Speaker 1 (22:25):
It was like he had like six of the biggest franchises,
Like yeah, he's just collected on like Infinity Stones. Like
but yes, it is a good trade for the Celtics
because we got rid of a lot of money. I
see the JB thing going around, like listen, my opinion is,
if you're gonna get it has to be like the
(22:46):
craziest offer, like just you know what I mean, Like
what we got when we traded KG and Paul Pierce,
like give was enough to build a whole another championship team.
You can't break this core up. And I know, but
like two people gette hundred.
Speaker 2 (23:00):
Bill JB really be outside in the city though, you
know what that's the part is like that mad is like, Okay,
can he really be a tournaments?
Speaker 1 (23:09):
Yo?
Speaker 2 (23:09):
He really be outside? Ain't man stuff in the community?
Speaker 1 (23:13):
I know, look crazy, like just keep Is Jalen Brown
a three hundred million dollar player?
Speaker 3 (23:20):
Hell yeah in this NBA? Yeah?
Speaker 1 (23:24):
Not because of the market I'm talking about. Is he
worth three hundred million dollars in this NBA?
Speaker 2 (23:29):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (23:29):
Because of the market.
Speaker 1 (23:30):
He was just finals m v P. Yeah. You know
what I'm saying. NBA. You know when you're gonna find
out three hundred million dollars next season, all the eyes
are on you, sir.
Speaker 3 (23:43):
When's coming back though it's coming back to the season.
Speaker 1 (23:46):
It's just to set the season. So I thought I
saw whenever he comes back, whenever he plays, he beat
the ball out. He be bad before he'll be good. Yeah,
because if.
Speaker 3 (23:55):
It's doating about.
Speaker 1 (23:58):
I think what' good team? U sounds crazy?
Speaker 2 (24:00):
But Derek White trying to get a jot.
Speaker 1 (24:08):
But what Dallas did that was oh damn we got
we we didn't do a trade with all right, we'll
just oh we missed the plane. Oh damn Cooper flag Dallas.
If everybody else made.
Speaker 2 (24:21):
That call, your don't where you go, Luca. You got
Cooper coming on the way.
Speaker 1 (24:26):
At what point it's just like, I understand conspiracies are
cool when you like it sounds like crazy, but it's
not really like, all right, your niggas, you're doing this
in front of our faces.
Speaker 2 (24:34):
Now you know what was the chance of that?
Speaker 1 (24:37):
What was getting like you're just playing in my face?
Speaker 3 (24:41):
One point three?
Speaker 1 (24:42):
They didn't even like ask any other teams. They just
went and traded amongst themselves. They sold the Lakers. I
think that has something to do somebody. They sold the
Mavericks that we just got Luke. For real, they both sold.
Speaker 3 (24:56):
Both teams sold like either this year or last year.
You know that what happened.
Speaker 1 (25:00):
Listen, Li's is to teams more money. Let's just trade
and get some new picks.
Speaker 3 (25:03):
Trade.
Speaker 1 (25:04):
Lebron's gonna buy the Lakers. Honestly, I think his group
in my prediction with Lebron, I think he's talking so
much ship and he's like rubbing people's feathers that they're
not gonna let this motherfucker buy a team. Keep talking ship,
the NBA Billionaire Boys Club, they might not let you wait.
Speaker 3 (25:23):
Bro Vegas team supposed to be.
Speaker 1 (25:25):
Keep playing playing. Yeah, he's out here talking about like
yo when I was in Cleveland, she was definitely keep
talking ship, keep talking.
Speaker 6 (25:32):
Ship was You're like, you know what I mean, brot
there there talking about y'all got caught, the ref came out,
got in trouble already.
Speaker 1 (25:44):
He exposed everything, and we forget, We forget that ship happened.
That's that's that's number one overall. Picks is is a
little fishy. It's a little fishy fishy. Dallas does argue
the most head scratched where this trade of all time
where ninety percent of the world thinks that the dumbest
(26:04):
franchise and the dumbest GM and then they get the
number one pick with two percent chance. Like that's like
and you watch a movie like that ship fake yourself.
They wouldn't do that, would never do that, would do that,
would even accept that except that ship. I think I
(26:25):
saw it when the when the Luca trade happened, people
trying to do it did not work. That's bad for you,
all right. Well, like I said, we have I love
when we have a hooper, hoop of hoopers and in
the building before we get to the coaching stuff, you're
a pretty good player yourself, sir.
Speaker 2 (26:45):
Appreciate that man appreciate a long time ago. They don't
want that a little bit.
Speaker 1 (26:51):
So first I always asked the Hoopers this question, where
did the love of basketball come from?
Speaker 2 (26:58):
Love basketball?
Speaker 1 (26:59):
Man?
Speaker 2 (27:00):
I was playing like since I was a kid, like
second grade, but then I really started taking the series
like fifth grade, played every day. Man, but I was
like mad chubby yo math fat. I was like that
fat dude, that just mad athletic.
Speaker 1 (27:11):
Though. You know we had a couple.
Speaker 2 (27:15):
You know, I just I just love the game and
I just fell in love with it.
Speaker 1 (27:17):
Man.
Speaker 2 (27:18):
Just shooting every day, you know what I'm saying. This
ship was amazing to me. You know, I just love shooting.
There was like the small court in Chelsea's the ymc A.
I never knew what the real three point line was,
so I was just shooting from everywhere. That's why so
far like I was shooting that bitch that's probably would
love just after ymc A. Just playing with my boys
(27:40):
all the every day and.
Speaker 1 (27:40):
Ship like that. It's a similar like to to all
of us because obviously, like like most kids, my parents
didn't want to watch us after school either, so they
so they say that's the boys and girls clubs at
YMC a YO and a lot of us. That's why
it came because what I was like, we weren't out
here and doing board games and stuffing like that. You're
in the gym and you're honing your I was always
like like, no, I'm not trying to do my homework. Yeah,
(28:04):
I wanted to afford team that, like, please do your homework, kids,
like a homework first the gym. I'm trying to hop
man a good time. So yeah, that's definitely a good tept.
But you are lucky enough to play for the high
school that you're coaching now, and I tend to do
(28:26):
a little homework your four year starter. How did I
feel like going into like a freshman year at Chelsea
Because I didn't play high school basketball, but did my
little boys and girls club think and Chelsea was always
the one that just like you already know you're gonna
you're gonna play some hoopers, So walk in as a
freshman to start at Chelsea.
Speaker 2 (28:44):
Yes, A little a little backstory on that. So the
summer going into eighth grade, I just play ball every day.
Worked out. So my dean at the time, he was
a freshman coach. First day of school, you know, missed O'Brien,
I'm trying to can I try out for the freshman
Team's like grade like, I don't know you to do that.
I was like, I think you're ready for that. I
was like, no, I know, I'm ready man. So trial
(29:05):
He's like, if you get if you get AS and b's,
i'll let you try out. So and got the AS
and b's. I tried out, and then I ended up
being the captain of the freshman team in eighth grade.
Speaker 1 (29:16):
Yo, sh it was crazy. You don't even go here listening.
We don't even come.
Speaker 2 (29:22):
It was crazy, right, So especially game days the coaches
he was old school. He made his dress up. You'll
see why you dress I'm on the team on I
played at the high school. Kid was like what yo,
it was crazy. Then we played it. Uh, it was funny.
Speaker 1 (29:37):
We played it.
Speaker 2 (29:37):
I still remember the score too. It was like, I
think it was fifty six fifty two or whatever the
case may be.
Speaker 1 (29:43):
On No.
Speaker 2 (29:43):
Sixty eight sixty two we played against lind Tech, my boys,
Victor Smith all them that day open, right, I think
I drive I would number forty, so I knew I
was killing that game. Like, yeah, eighth graded, eighth grader,
you know the last yeah, forty, number forty. I knew
(30:04):
I was killing that game. I was like, I went
at the table, I know we lost, Like yo, how
much I have? It was like I'm number forties, like forty.
I'm like no, no, no, no, no, number forties, Like
now you have forty. I'm like, dat forties?
Speaker 1 (30:18):
No no, no, that's my numbers. You dropped forty.
Speaker 2 (30:24):
And then what's it called? The next day, I'm at
scrolling on mall and I see victim on him. There
was like they was like your vicas, like yo, yo,
see what grade? When I'm like, I'm only eighth. It
was like what, I'm like, yo, he was killing? We lost.
I was like, I don't give a funk. We lost
the game though, like you know what I mean. I
was just like I was cared about winning, but it
was just funny. And then boom that and that's what
(30:46):
I played with the And then my older, my older,
my big homie, his name is Orlando. He used to
always have me come to the open gyms at the
high school. I used to I used to be frying
them dudes, So I ain't like he was always like
he was only in eighth grades killing y'all. I used
to tell the coaches to be up there and the
stands just watching, and then the coach said, Yo, you
could play something. You could play some league going like
(31:07):
you know, somebody going already eighth grade finished eighth grade.
We was playing some league and stuff, and then we
was playing and then I made the team at varsity.
You know what I'm saying. So I was like, and
then at the beginning of practice, the first go prize
like your first unit, Seeson. I'm like, cool, first unit whatever.
Speaker 1 (31:25):
Yo.
Speaker 2 (31:25):
The day before the game, first game is like first union.
I'm like, yo, ship, I'm gonna start.
Speaker 1 (31:34):
Yo.
Speaker 2 (31:35):
There was a there was some dude like some scenes
that were tight, you know yo, they were tight.
Speaker 1 (31:40):
They're like, Yo, he's gonna play.
Speaker 2 (31:42):
I'm like, you know whatever, man, I'm playing, like started,
you know what I'm saying. I started, and then I
was just doing my thing that whole season, and then
the playoff came. Then my coach was like, yo, Seas,
you're not gonna start. I'm like, what you're talking about
was the playoffs?
Speaker 1 (31:56):
Stay.
Speaker 2 (31:56):
I'm like I'm ready. He's like, now I'm gonna have
you come off the bench. I'm like, yo, which trust me,
I'm ready, Like I'm like, I really want this ship.
He was like the work, He's still gonna play though.
I'm like, all right, so I'm sitting on the bench
just like stitching coach. We're playing against Beverly Man. I
still I was still the leading scorer. I scored like
eighteen points off the bench. I had that that time
(32:20):
was like two halves to uh, sixteen minute has right?
Yeah to sixteen minute has man? I hit a shot
from a full court boom to put it to put
us up at like four whatever?
Speaker 1 (32:31):
Yo.
Speaker 2 (32:31):
They the whole team only like yo, yeah, he's we
in the low yo.
Speaker 1 (32:34):
See.
Speaker 2 (32:35):
I'm like, yo, god funk all that. We got another
half the game. Man over there, man, Beverly, don't blew
to us out. The second they had some white boy,
I forget his name. He was a killer man. I
forget his name. But he was showing everything too. And
then before you know, I see all the scenes crying
and shit. But I was just like like not like
I was still mad, but I was like still like
the bat like Jess like yo, Like after that, I knew,
(33:00):
I was like, yo, I'm gonna keep working hard and
just just keep going, man, you know. So it's just
that ship was fun. Man, it was fun. It was fun.
Speaker 1 (33:09):
Might as well take us sophomore year next chapter. What
happened next?
Speaker 2 (33:16):
Now the sophomore year, you know, I'm still I was
still dealing with some hating dudes on the team sometimes.
And I told my AU coach, Coach Jones, was telling
you about second dad, you know what I mean. So
he's I remember Carl right home, like your coach, I
wanna go to prep school? Fuck this, I'm straight. He's
like you sure, like I had prep schools looking at
me ready, And I'm like, he's like, yo, seees. I'll
(33:39):
be real with you. You stay at Chelsea, You're gonna
score a thousand points, You'll be able to get back
to the city. You're gonna end up being the head
coach head coach there one day. And if you leave,
it's gonna be hard to do all that. They're gonna
look at you like and I don't know you left us,
da da da. And I was like, you know what,
I'm gonna stay and then yo, before you know it,
(34:01):
I'm fucking coaching, giving back to the city.
Speaker 1 (34:04):
You know what I mean.
Speaker 2 (34:04):
Working in the schools. It's like he's spoken to exist.
Speaker 1 (34:09):
To this day.
Speaker 2 (34:10):
I call him and ask for advice, you know what
I'm saying, Like he just.
Speaker 1 (34:13):
And that's crazy because we live in a time where
like you know, obviously we're from Salem, and that's been
a big problem for us the last four or five
years that we have these players that we grow from
like P two go playing in P two P all
the way up. They at the high school, they get
that one preps call, you know, prep phone call in
there out which I can't blame the kid, like you
(34:34):
know what I mean, you can't, but it feels good
to remember those times like nah, I'm playing for the
city on my chest, Like I'm going to bring us
wherever I'm gonna go, and they if I'm good enough,
they're gonna find me here. You're the one that brings
the state championship. Like Jersey retired, right, you still live
there your whole life.
Speaker 2 (34:53):
You still coaching and no bullshit like going back to
one game too, Like I was really like, you know,
Coobe was like, yo, I see you time you coming
to the gym. I'm like I was always like in
the gym, you I mean, like I told coach like, Yo, coach,
I'll leave, let me stay. Can I stay?
Speaker 1 (35:09):
Can I stay? Can?
Speaker 2 (35:09):
I say? He's like, yo, see, you really got to
just do what you gotta do and just leave. I
was like, I promise, I promise, you know, so I
do all that. There was one game coach I think
were down by Like I think we're down by like
three or whatever the case may be. Coach drop or play.
So I'm like, all right, cool, I'm waiting. He's you're
gonna get the ball. You're gonna shoot the three. I
was like this dude said, see, you're gonna get the
(35:30):
ball and then you're gonna pass it to uh I
forget his name. So and so I'm like, what, I'm
not passing this ship. I had him like, I'm not
passing it. I'll give He'll hit every shot practicing the game.
Come airball, airball. I'm like, I'm not passing this ship.
Speaker 1 (35:48):
Man.
Speaker 2 (35:48):
I got the ball. Two motherfuckers off said yo the
whole Yo.
Speaker 1 (35:54):
The team was heated at me.
Speaker 2 (35:55):
I was like, ya, don't care, bro, Like, I'm not
passing the ball. Guys, you know, obviously could have made
the right play.
Speaker 1 (36:04):
But the story I remember Gil but Arenas to somebody
was telling this story about Gil, but Arenas it might
have been it was Antoine James and how your memory works,
I remember like this, but I can't remember, like you
know what I mean.
Speaker 3 (36:16):
Just whatever, Antoine James.
Speaker 1 (36:19):
There's a play or just like that, your jar off,
and so Gil, you're gonna get the ball. You're gonna
go past Larry Hughes. Yeah, gonna take the shot. Gil
does the same thing you did it. He made it though,
Arenas hit him, like, Yo, how do you know? Just
shoot the ball and you're supposed to pass. I was
supposed to pass the ball. Once I heard Gil Gil
(36:39):
against the ball and stopped listening to the rest of
the ship pretty much like Nigga, I'm shooting the ball.
They should know. They should know.
Speaker 2 (36:48):
Many people through this ship too, you know what I mean.
Like one of my good friends, my brother Antonio, you
know what I mean, is.
Speaker 1 (36:53):
They go It was like the second third, he argues
with me all the time, the third lead to score
a second.
Speaker 3 (37:00):
I think he's second second.
Speaker 2 (37:02):
Probably second year. And then like I remember, we was
like before we even met each other, was like on
Facebook on my whatever, Yo, we're about to play like
we always be talking and ship and we were like,
we're gonna play against each other on this Christmas tournament
in Wakefield, and then we just kept talking I'm gonna
kill you, like I'm going to kill We was like
we was like really dogs, you know what I'm saying.
Then we get to the game, it was wait for right, Yeah, yeah,
(37:28):
we end up beating We end up beating them, right,
being y'all. And then it was just so fire because
like I'm like, I was just like I was on that.
It was my senior year, so I was just trying
to win everything, you know, trying to win everything, and
then that year, you guys are going to the garden,
you know what I'm saying. So I'm like, oh, man,
like we lost a redd in that that that game
(37:49):
and the next game we would have played Link Classical,
so I would have played against Jazz, but and I
wanted that match up, and youybody talked about Jazz. I
want that match up. I want that match up, you
know what I'm saying. Because he's now actually too, So
I was just like, I like, it's like I had
like a hitless you know what I'm saying. I like
everything I wanted to do. Like everybody talk about him
like I want that game. I want to kill him.
I want to play. I want to play. We end
up losing, but I'm like, then I've seen these dudes
(38:10):
go to fucking the garden. I'm like, man, I could
have been tool. You know, we beat I was on
my mindset like we just beat them though, like they're
a good team. I know we can make it there.
But man, it's be tough.
Speaker 1 (38:21):
Man.
Speaker 2 (38:21):
Basketball is tough.
Speaker 1 (38:23):
It's hard. Man, It's hard.
Speaker 2 (38:24):
It's hard.
Speaker 1 (38:25):
It's hard.
Speaker 3 (38:26):
That was That was a heartbreaking loss too.
Speaker 2 (38:29):
That game was lit though.
Speaker 1 (38:30):
Man.
Speaker 2 (38:30):
Yeah, we had a toring, heated Yo. I think you
got filed out. He thought you want to fight some
of our players. Yo. I was like, y'all tell you
about you hot. So I had some dudes on my
team like, Yo, you gotta do this.
Speaker 1 (38:42):
Do this.
Speaker 2 (38:42):
Talk ship to him and say whatever you gotta do.
Whatever it takes, man, whatever it takes.
Speaker 1 (38:46):
That's that's kind of player. I was listen, if I'm
down eight nine points and the things are not going well,
I might say some ship that's gonna I'm gonna get
teed up. But hopefully you know it messes you up.
You always know what I always know I was playing,
was like I got to say three things to you and.
Speaker 3 (39:04):
Let me crash out, like trying to overcompensate what what
I got, just feeding into fitting into everything.
Speaker 1 (39:14):
Love. I haven't played a while, but as an old guy,
it's just like you're more athletic and you're better than me.
But I'm you know what I mean? I got this
people forget about when I when I was younger, I
definitely used to talk mad ship, but like you fall
off a little bit. Get Fat's how we knew growing up,
like boys and girls clubs. He was like, you go,
(39:37):
you see something, you go hear some ship.
Speaker 2 (39:39):
Now I'm playing with like Geo and like Johnny and them,
I'm in the three. I'm in the corner you need,
you know what I mean? I feel I want some
d like we played in some championship game some Brodie
League's pretty fire.
Speaker 1 (39:51):
You know.
Speaker 2 (39:53):
Kobe was like, who kids about these dudes?
Speaker 1 (39:55):
Who came?
Speaker 2 (39:55):
We don't talk to him again? He like he like
flipped the swish with me. I didn't even had back then,
you know what I'm saying. I was like, I was
on my dream on green sho I just dudes up.
I don't even kids. Just sit in the tone like
you'll get all the buckets.
Speaker 1 (40:07):
The bucket that you're on that net cast squad. Right, Yeah,
I talked to uh Man. I talked to him, was like, yo,
you know like y'all recruiting, y'all out here like Calipari. Like,
I'm like, bro, I see I see oh there in
another championship. You want my foot When I.
Speaker 2 (40:28):
See the roster that QUI bro, Like that's fun, you know,
you know what I mean? I went to I went
to match Church too for the first time too. It
was dope, man, just seeing him in that element.
Speaker 1 (40:36):
Yeah, he's a cool dude. Cool, He's definitely right. He
definitely wan who threw your name out there? And I
was like, I got it, I got it. I got it.
So after in high school, what was the next step here?
Speaker 2 (40:47):
So actually I went to prep school. I mean I
went to postgrad. When I got there, the coach who
really wanted wanted me to be there, he ended up
getting a college job. So I mean, so I already
paid my money, you know what I mean, like like
a partial you know me? So I paid my money.
I'm like, damn fucking I'm here, you know. And then
that coach bringing his players. You already know how that
shit goes. So I'm like, I'm like, fuck, this dude
(41:10):
wasn't even playing me. I'm like, yo, this is crazy
and I'm killing dudes in practice. And even the players
be like yo, SE's like you be killing like what.
I'm like, I don't know. This coach is don't rock
with me. And there was one time coach I think
Franklin Pierce came he said, you can't see one of
the players. I was like, I'm gonna make this like
my mission just to like lock them up and kill
him in practice. Then after that the coach came up
(41:31):
to the Hey, we're interested in you now, blah blah blah,
and he asked me about the clearinghouse. I said what
it was like, Yeah, nice talking to you. That's why
Chelsea Hot messed me up too, Like my gudess Consolan
didn't tell me you no, no clearinghouse. You need like
certain like raids and ship like that courses. Yes, I'm
like damn.
Speaker 1 (41:48):
So then after that I just man listen, like I said,
I was like, yo, people be playing for the city
on the back, you know, who's not going to mess
that up a prep school fast. Some of these public
schools be dropping them all. And I'm not anybody out
pointing like once, you know, once that senior year, and
it's like, all right, thanks for the w like can
(42:10):
you help me? Can you send my tape out? Can
you text somebody? Somebody? I like, I still like basketball,
you know what I mean, Like I still want to play,
I know.
Speaker 2 (42:19):
So that was that, and then so the coach he
lived in the same dorm with us. Just then I
was on my Chelsey ship. I was just like coach
like coaches like, oh, good morning.
Speaker 1 (42:29):
See.
Speaker 2 (42:29):
I'm like, I'll be real man, like I don't even
want I just want to fit. The scene is over.
I don't even want to talk to you, Like, don't
even say good morning, don't even talk to me. The
next day he goes, yo, good morning. I was like, yo,
on some real stuff. I was really serious what I
was saying. After that, he just stopped talking. I just
sent in my school where and I left early and
I end up going to Bunker Hill up with the
(42:50):
Bunker Hill coach, coach Jones. He got the job there.
He was like, yo, see, just just come rock with me.
I was like, man, you already know I've been playing
with it for that do since I was in like
seventh grade.
Speaker 1 (42:58):
So get him on the joy. I know if'm about
Salem State from something, you gotta get him. Guy used
to do really recruiting back He built those mastermind he
built out that sweet sixteen team.
Speaker 2 (43:10):
He built those teams in fact, that's a fact, you know.
So I went to Bunker Hill. I was like, all
reaching player, you know what I'm saying. I had like
an opportunity, like to go play in a last D
two in Alaska. But man, I don't even be talking
about that shit because I'm like, man, I ain't going
to Alaska.
Speaker 1 (43:24):
But I like basketball. I like basketball Alaska.
Speaker 2 (43:27):
But I was just like and back Daniel. Everybody had
that mindset, was like, d you want and nothing. You
know what I'm saying, go back, man, I'll go to
fucking Salem State right now. Just go you know what
I mean. But it all worked out, do you know
what I'm saying.
Speaker 1 (43:38):
I'm doing my thing.
Speaker 2 (43:39):
You know, I met a lot of people do this
basketball stuff. You know, I got people in high places
in the NBA, college and all that stuff. I got connections.
So it all worked out at the end of the day.
Speaker 1 (43:47):
For me, absolutely absolutely, So ware did it get How
did it get to you being able to coach? You
af mya moters.
Speaker 2 (43:53):
So I started coaching at Chelsea in twenty fifteen. My
old my old coach, he's like, you see you want
to you want to coach. I'm like, coach, what like
coach JV team, like be the head coach. He's like yeah,
I'm like ship, hell yeah, I'll do it. Then I
had the assistant principal. It was like they were like
kind of like iffy about it, like, yo, he's still young.
(44:14):
You think he's ready for that. He's like Noah. He
was like his name cocho. He's like now coach. He
was like, you know, he's he's ready. Like I used
to run like Captain's practices, even myself, like you know,
I mean I used to do all the ship that
dudes didn't want to do. And then he just basically
the assistant principal came in and watched one of my practices.
He was like, Okay, I see what you're doing. He's
(44:34):
like he's like he was real and he's like, yo,
see I'm not gonna lie, I doubted you, but you
know what you're doing. Like, yeah, we had them boys work.
I didn't care like I treated it like it wasn't JV.
You know what I'm saying.
Speaker 1 (44:48):
I treated my squad.
Speaker 2 (44:49):
I treated like it was like varsity, like even beyond
like college.
Speaker 1 (44:52):
I was was doing.
Speaker 2 (44:53):
Like I said before, I got like a lot of
canals heading all my boys who plays, Like what you
do we doing? Boom, Just do my own thing to it,
you know what I mean. So I've been coaching here
for twenty fifteen. I was doing JV. Now I was
the head assistant, and then I want to go fit
in my batch's so I told her. I told the dude,
I was like, yo, let me just coach a freshman
because freshman played on the weekends and it was easy
to do prajeate right after school. I did all that,
(45:15):
and then in like twenty twenty one, I told him.
I was like, yeah, I told him I was gonna
fall back this year because I was gonna have my son.
I'm like, I'm just gonna fall back, just gonna focus
on my kid and stuff like that. Before you know,
this job opened up and he was like, you want
to go for the job. I'm like, hell yeah, And
I ended up getting varsity head coaching job three years ago.
(45:36):
I'm about to be on year four.
Speaker 1 (45:37):
Now, so congrasp so let's do let's dope.
Speaker 2 (45:42):
I really really love this shit.
Speaker 1 (45:44):
Yes, you gotta love it all his life? Is that
back then? Like they wasn't playing, like, say, you really
gotta love it because y'all playing that pretty good conference
up there in.
Speaker 2 (45:55):
The Greater Greave, Boston. Man, it's tough, man, it was
getting I asked my fresh year yo, my first year,
first game, let English right, Oh my god, we're going
against ty Reese and Warren.
Speaker 1 (46:07):
Yoh, bro.
Speaker 2 (46:08):
I called the time on thirty seconds of the game.
I said, yeah, this ship is not JV. This ship
is now Freshman, this ship is fast as hell.
Speaker 1 (46:16):
I called a time on just for me. I was.
Speaker 2 (46:21):
Wet getting cracked by like forty I think, but hey,
who's gonna go tyre reson for you? I know you've
seen ty Reeeon fucking Warren play man, the motherfuckers can go.
You know what I'm saying. But you know we're taking
our hits week. Then the second year, my second year,
we got a couple more wins. You know what I mean,
playing tough. And then this past year it was a
disappointing season, you know what I'm saying, because all my
(46:42):
guys were older and I thought, like, okay, that jump
and we were like very talented for my first two years,
but they just lacked that dogness. You know what I'm
bring that grit, that's what they lacked, so that we
we end up winning like six games.
Speaker 1 (46:54):
It was.
Speaker 2 (46:54):
It was tough, and it was frustrating because I'm like, yo, god,
we're putting so much.
Speaker 1 (46:57):
Work, the potential and.
Speaker 2 (47:01):
Just I can't want him more than him, you know
what I'm saying.
Speaker 1 (47:03):
I always it's like you want to just get out.
I don't like listen, I come on here a lot
and like I don't want to sound like the old
man like this generation, but man, you know it's warranted.
Is this generation? Like last week, like Koky was talking
about somebody wanted to get paid to play for P
two P you know what I mean? You know what
I mean, like what something like that? Excuse me, Hey,
(47:28):
very time to player player that might be coming on
the road down the road like this is still like yeah,
unfortunately these guys, like it trickles down from the NBA,
Like I'll be watching NBA GA sometimes like do they
really want this? Do they really care? It's definitely look
(47:49):
look look look at the person they call that go
talking about championships don't matter, yo, Lebron, Like, listen, the
more you talk, the more like that's what he said
to me. That's that's when I heard it. Yet ringt counting,
mister not five six. He's the one saying that on
stage and now we can't count.
Speaker 3 (48:08):
Did you not want the same thing?
Speaker 1 (48:10):
If you you know, He's just like, I don't know
how that's funny because lero. But it's like the more
he talks more, it's like, bro, like like come on,
like it don't make sense, don't it don't make sense?
(48:32):
Like it makes sense? Yeah whatever.
Speaker 2 (48:37):
This generation is different though, Yeah, Like I tell these
kids all the time, I be on like my Bradley
Beale ship, like you ever seen.
Speaker 1 (48:42):
That none of your niggas can guard That's what I'm saying.
Speaker 2 (48:45):
So I still be killing these kids, and like when
we hoop and I'm like your fellaws, like I shouldn't
be going by and I shouldn't be able to play
defense on you guys. Let's be real. But don't get
me wrong. There are some kids on my team who
do work on that game and what they gotta do.
And I see that, you know, But it's just like fellas,
I can't want the morning. I've seen this, this one
interview on Deon Sanders, I think when he had the job,
(49:06):
when he first got the job, I think they ask
him what was the hardest thing about coaching? And he said,
putting expectations on players that I would on myself. If
I do that, I'm just gonna be disappointed, you know
what I mean. So it's hard.
Speaker 1 (49:21):
That's why a lot of these like Kobe could have
never been a coach. That's what Jordan could never be.
Und Yeah, but did you ever you know, God wrest So,
did you ever see him ever like coaching team?
Speaker 2 (49:36):
No?
Speaker 1 (49:36):
No, no, Like he's getting away. You're not gonna match
his energy. Some people are just like it's it's interesting
to see that a lot of like not not in
your case, but a lot of like head coaches usually
like a bench player who sat there and watched a
lot of the game, or coaches son or something like that.
(49:59):
It's never really of the elite, like Lebron's not going
to coach. KD is not going to coach like Missoula
or something like that.
Speaker 3 (50:05):
The best player Jason Kidd, who coached.
Speaker 1 (50:08):
Yeah, that's a good question. Who's the best player because
Steve Curry got some championships, but he wasn't. Doc Rivers
was nice, right, you think it might be the best
player turned coach. I mean, I mean we can go
all the way back and you know that team that
(50:30):
not do well I think coach.
Speaker 2 (50:32):
I'm just saying, I think if this dude gets the opportunity,
I think Rondo will be amazing.
Speaker 1 (50:36):
Yeah. Yeah, I'm surprised he hasn't been on somebody's bench.
Speaker 3 (50:40):
He said he got offered a couple of years ago.
Speaker 1 (50:43):
Tells me about Rondo's nigga. If I come in, I'm
gonna do this, this, this, like you you know what
I mean, you can't do that and I ain't coming.
I think that's a lot of that, Like it has
to be the perfect situation, like but defensive minded team
will be perfect. I don't understand what it's like the
coaching to sometimes the NBA. You like you're seeing these
no names get get like interviews left and right, and
(51:06):
like Sam Conseell has been just being consistent, like assistant
coaching championship teams and not even getting a phone call.
Speaker 2 (51:13):
I think he's gonna get opportunity soon.
Speaker 1 (51:14):
I don't understand why the New York I'm not calling.
Speaker 3 (51:17):
I should already had that job.
Speaker 1 (51:19):
Right, like like Mike Malone ship, Yeah, but Michael Loans
already coach.
Speaker 3 (51:25):
I'm talking he got fired.
Speaker 2 (51:26):
You know what I'm saying, Like, you should probably be
the k next coach next.
Speaker 1 (51:29):
I don't know what the do. I don't know what
the hell your next door? Like I figured if I
think they thought, I think the Knicks thought that, like
because they're the Knicks, it was just gonna take someone
else's coach, like yo that when I came out with
a target, I was like, all these niggas got jobs.
Speaker 3 (51:45):
What are you asking people? And that was like hell no,
they asked yeah Jason email. Who else did they ask you?
Speaker 1 (51:53):
Mind if we interviewed your coaching? Yeah? I mind, I mind.
Don't projected by every team. Every team's crazy. And now
you're looking at like assistant coaches that like I would
have just stuck with the one you have bron.
Speaker 2 (52:09):
Make it to the Eastern Finals.
Speaker 1 (52:11):
Just that screams out, screams out James Dolan to me,
that screams out ownership.
Speaker 3 (52:16):
But it also means like he lost.
Speaker 1 (52:19):
He might have lost, He might have lost. The people
were saying that he.
Speaker 3 (52:25):
Get just like Mike Malone supposed to get fired the
year before but did so well. Like, okay, I guess
we'll give you.
Speaker 1 (52:31):
I understood that when they started the playoffs it was
probably gonna be NBA Finals a bust, Like if they
don't make the finals at least actually know, I thought
if I was like, they need to win at least
two series because they made the Eastern Conference, will be fine.
Apparently I was wrong. They fired anyways quick to real
quick he didn't plan ticket yet. That sounds me like
(52:53):
you were getting fired regardless, Brot. What championship, But like,
I guess I can't fire if you win a championship.
But other than that, yeah, mine, last second, imagine that
you know what, it was good, but I think someone
else could do a better job, better job than a championship.
Speaker 3 (53:09):
Won the game seven.
Speaker 1 (53:10):
It's not like I have other people at my job,
like Mosa needs to go. I'm like, no, he just
won a champion Do winning not matter anymore? In the
resumes like just one. I don't like him. Remember who
won the Who's the coach of the Lakers when they
won in twenty twenty vocal? I think he was fired
a year and a half. Yeah, what's he doing?
Speaker 2 (53:32):
I think he's somewhere else team. He's definitely on a stash.
Speaker 3 (53:36):
So good coach.
Speaker 1 (53:37):
Moving on. Before I knew you as the Chelsea head
head basketball coach, I knew you because you were associated
with the Letter fly Classic. So I'm not even one
hundred percent. I just see it every year and it
looks lit. Yeah, right, y'all y'all out here in country
out I thought that's not something in Africa. I was
(53:59):
just like, I don't know whether I was just like bro,
I think I saw them in Africa and how it
came about And what's your role in the Yeah?
Speaker 2 (54:12):
So I'm the co founder of Letter fly Me and
my best friend Kyle. You know what I mean, y'all.
I don't know if y'all have been seeing he's a
he's a macha ninja, you know what I'm saying. Yeah,
he went crazy on TikTok. He's going crazy right now
with this whole manches ship. Man, it's just a force
like to drink to drink. You know, he's going crazy
with it, you know what I mean. But yeah, it
(54:34):
all started like I went to I went to his
house one day. I was like about ten years ago,
because we're going on year ten. It would have been
year eleven but COVID and ship of course, so about
eleven years ago. I just went to his crib. We
was just chilling him. Y'all want to do a basketball tournament.
I'm tired of like just we always got to go
go to another city to go play in the tournament
over Watch a tournament, like why not? It was start
(54:55):
one and we did it. We did that ship like
a month, you know what I'm saying, Raise the money
and we had it outside at Hoghland Park and Chelsea,
right across street from Boys and Girls Club. It was
hottest ship that day too, of ship.
Speaker 1 (55:08):
Man.
Speaker 2 (55:08):
After that day, I was like, yeah, we ain't doing
this shit outside no more. We're gonna find a gym.
Speaker 1 (55:13):
But we did it.
Speaker 2 (55:13):
Man, it was and it just took off me. It
was just like we had teams from like Boston, Brockton, whatever.
We had eight teams, you know, we just keep it
at eight, just a one day event and then and
all the money we raised goes to Chelsea High like
for seniors and stuff for scholarships. I think over over
the last ten years probably up to like almost eighty
thousand dollars of scholarships, you know. So it was just
(55:35):
like it's just trying to Now it's just we're getting
all the best players around.
Speaker 1 (55:39):
Man.
Speaker 2 (55:39):
You know, were flying kids in from like Baltimore, you
know what I mean, DC, getting kids in New York.
Where else we got kids from. We're forming some kids
from London.
Speaker 1 (55:50):
You know what? So how'd you go from? Like that
first went from I'm outside too hot? Going inside? Where
the gym?
Speaker 3 (55:58):
London?
Speaker 1 (56:00):
Now it's like Miami London, Like how did how did
you get? Because I'm gonna be like, you know, Nick
had a tournament. Tournaments. We've seen them all the time,
tournaments that are literally global. That's something we don't see especially.
Speaker 2 (56:14):
So again that goes to my partner Kyle Man, like
he just like, Yo, we gotta let's expand I'm like
we span. It was like, yo, let's go do it
in London. I'm like London, Like he's always in London
because he models and stuff like that. Like a second home.
Yeah yeah, so yeah, I mean he got connected with
(56:34):
people out there and then boom, he just we did
it in London, right, and he took over and did
all that. He did all the he did all the
behind the scenes work over there doing in London. And
now we we did it in South Africa. We did it.
We're about to go do it in Rwanda and in
a couple of ship July fifth. But we did it
in Puerto Rico too. In April, went to Puerto Rico.
(56:54):
You know, it was dope for the kids that they
came out there, you know what I mean. They played hard.
So we're gonna do this ship too. We're gonna have
an international team. So we got like four kids from
Puerto Rico. We're gonna take a couple of kids from London,
and then we're gonna we're gonna take a couple of
kids from Toronto, I believe, and then it's gonna be
one team, you know what I'm saying. Trying to compete
(57:15):
and try to win, so trying to get the best
kids from there, you know what i mean. But we
did it in Puerto Rico. Puerto Rico was dope, you
know what I mean, my mom was out there, so
I got to see my mom.
Speaker 1 (57:24):
And real quick, you can't bring up Puerto Rico basketball
without did you see Demarca's cousins, I said, I.
Speaker 2 (57:34):
Said, one hundred Puerto Ricans versus.
Speaker 1 (57:38):
I saw that. I saw that. I was just like, Homie,
this ain't in Oklahoma City. Bro, you can't just like
you can't just run like the crowd like they don't
care that you playing any like whatever. Bro, Like, that's
not a videos like that went exactly the way I
thought it was gonna go.
Speaker 2 (57:51):
And that's just the trenches though too. I went to
one of those games when I went went to Porto Ricano.
Speaker 1 (57:55):
Did not look like crazy over there.
Speaker 2 (57:57):
Them feels nuts, you know what I'm saying. So I'm like, yo,
he might not. He might not make it out. He
might not make it today.
Speaker 1 (58:03):
You know, messed up because the Marcus cousin is not
the type to be apologized. That statement came out quick
the next day.
Speaker 3 (58:12):
That man got job, Bro, ESPN and Big Three's all this.
Speaker 2 (58:18):
He was bugging man, But Puerto Rico man, it was
dope though. Like those players though, it's like they're still
kind of like set behind or I felt like, you know,
I mean, there was like kid, he's like he's like
six tools. Like I played center, and I'm like, what,
you don't play no center. Man, you come out here,
you're gonna won't you gotta be your point guard?
Speaker 1 (58:42):
You know?
Speaker 2 (58:42):
I mean six tools ship right now?
Speaker 3 (58:45):
Do you bring your own teams every time you go
over there or just starting now?
Speaker 2 (58:49):
We just we just picked the kids from there, all
the kids from over there. So that's why there was
just so like, I mean, there's one kid out there,
like I still keep in touch with him. He's just
I was even coaching the team out there. I don't
coach here when we have my own letter fly. I
just like to get that shit get too crazy, like, oh.
Speaker 1 (59:04):
She's got a team in there.
Speaker 2 (59:06):
He's gonna have his team go to the championship. I
don't care who wins. You know what I'm saying. I
make when I make the bracket, I make it like
see i'd be all right, semi r ross, semi you ross,
and I do it all based off that to see
what would be the best championship game. Sometimes don't work
out like that, sometimes they do, you know what I mean,
every game be lit and let it fly though, like
the dude, they know not to fucking They got to
bring their ship. It's not like, oh, let me get
my feet. Well, you know, you play other tournaments, you're
(59:28):
gonna have like a week team or something like forty
or whatever, fifty you know what I'm saying. But with
this you can be out the first round. You'll be
like damn, and then all the other kids. There's all
some top ranked kids and then some kids that are
like who should be ranked will not ring like a right,
I'm gonna try to kill this dude, try to try
to get noticed. I'm supposed to be so now letterfly Mass,
(59:48):
that shit really took off me.
Speaker 3 (59:49):
I love that.
Speaker 2 (59:50):
I love that. Like I said, I love basketball man,
anything basketball, I'm doing it.
Speaker 1 (59:54):
I would have thought basketball can bring it to Rwanda,
not that you're going on that fly Yeah you could
have listen Rwanda if you want to hit ourselfs for
a podcast, something you might have to do South Africa, Africa. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:00:10):
Yeah, they're gonna have another one in Cape Town. Yeah,
Cap Town. That was another one that Kyle told me.
That was the trenches man. The kids were happy just
to get sneakies, you know, what I'm saying there was
the kids playing badfootle Kyle games from Sneakers. I mean,
I think we had to deal with like Puma or
something like that. They we locked in with Puma out
there in South Africa and Cape Town. They just we
(01:00:31):
just did their thing.
Speaker 1 (01:00:32):
That's awesome, awesome.
Speaker 2 (01:00:35):
So what what are the dates for this August Night?
August Night, Chelsea Chelsea High School. We're back at Chelsea High.
Last year we couldn't do that Chelsea. I had to
go to the middle school because they they have restruct
construction and stuff like that. But we're back at Chelsea High.
It's gonna be dope, though. Man, you had tons.
Speaker 1 (01:00:51):
We're trying to kind of wish, you know, we had
a city that would support our stuff too. O. Man,
you know, let it fly. It's Coky didn't have to
reschedule a million different games because he's playing outside and
dealing with the weather. When we have a million gyms
in the city.
Speaker 2 (01:01:09):
You know what I'm saying, it should be a race.
Speaker 1 (01:01:10):
Sit right down the street, get right in the gym.
Speaker 2 (01:01:13):
That's a cookie.
Speaker 3 (01:01:14):
Man.
Speaker 2 (01:01:14):
You always let my Chelsea Hoigh boys play. We're gonna
be in there this summer.
Speaker 1 (01:01:18):
Absolutely, we'll be there. We'll be there.
Speaker 2 (01:01:20):
So I'm expecting the big things from my from my
team this year. Though, no lit like they started. I
could see the growth, you know what I mean. We
just had a spring league out and Lin we won that.
We just played a tournament at the Reggie Lewis Center
with the State Police. They put it together. We lost
in the semi finals. You know, I think I forgot
what team Bridgewater Rainham. I mean I was on the
I was in the stands just talking my ship. I
(01:01:41):
can't coach, you know.
Speaker 1 (01:01:42):
I was just like that thing.
Speaker 2 (01:01:43):
The team was up about like fifteen, right like six
minutes to go, and they holding the ball. I'm like, yo,
what I'm like.
Speaker 1 (01:01:50):
I was like, yeah, six minutes.
Speaker 2 (01:01:51):
I'm like, yo, y'all really holding the ball.
Speaker 1 (01:01:53):
I'm good, I'm good.
Speaker 2 (01:01:57):
My being a fan like yo, ya holding on talking
about it.
Speaker 1 (01:02:00):
That's what you said, you said in the eleventh man, listen,
they gonna make sure they don't hold the ball no more.
You got five files, all of them.
Speaker 2 (01:02:09):
I'm like, Yo, this is crazy. I'm like, this is
not even basketball, you know what I mean? Like I
get it in Like I mean, if there was like
two minutes you know, you hold the ball and stuff
like that. I'm like, Yo, it's a six minutes.
Speaker 1 (01:02:18):
Fift such a you can easily come back.
Speaker 2 (01:02:23):
Yeah, I'm not it.
Speaker 1 (01:02:25):
I was heated.
Speaker 2 (01:02:26):
I was heated.
Speaker 1 (01:02:26):
I was heated.
Speaker 2 (01:02:27):
But now we're doing I think we're playing in the
lights out some of lead right now, we too and
on that, you know. So it's just they're starting to
see like to win, you know. Yeah, And at the
end of the day, two yo's like, yeah, I love winning.
I love winning, and I know we ain't gonna win
every game. But most importantly, man, I just want these
kids to win that life though absolutely some of them
(01:02:47):
probably want don't even care about playing college basketball, you know,
I just want to see them. They know they can
call me when the season is over, when they graduate,
you know what I mean, they need a letter recommendation.
I'm always gonna be there for them. So I'm more
like a life coach, man, I don't give about it.
Speaker 1 (01:03:00):
See, that's what we need more coaches. You need people
to be like there's a lot of these coaches. Once
you get get once you're that final buzzer in that
final game me senior year, you're just someone they passed
by on the street.
Speaker 3 (01:03:11):
You know what I mean.
Speaker 1 (01:03:13):
I mean, like you know what I mean. I fought
for you all in the court. At least do a
little something something for me. And they're just saying, but
it's glad to know they are coaches like you out
here that literally genuinely care about the players and the
mentoring kids. The mentors said. Every episode's my favorite thing
to say every episode. Mentors matter.
Speaker 2 (01:03:31):
They matter, like you said it for this generation is crazy, man,
Like they just these kids are just different. Man, this
is different. Like I really can't. I got like what
probably like twelve fourteen kids on the team. I feel
like I got to coach fourteen different ways. Sometimes I
gotta talk fourteen different ways, you know, I mean talk
to them different, teaching different. You know, they got like
(01:03:52):
some of them got ips.
Speaker 1 (01:03:54):
You know.
Speaker 2 (01:03:54):
I really got to sit there, look at their profile
and just be like, Okay, this kid can do this,
you can do that. It should be it'd be.
Speaker 1 (01:03:59):
A lot a lot. It would be a lot.
Speaker 2 (01:04:03):
And it's not like coaching in your own city. Man,
went to school there.
Speaker 1 (01:04:07):
I've been posted by, I've been poking at you, said, listen,
duel ain't gonna coach forever. We've had our conversations where
the end is closer than then, you know, then than
people think. And I'm talking to these sale moopers like tone, tone,
I don't know why the hell you move all this way.
I'm gonna you know, spot like bro, come back, you
(01:04:33):
know what I mean? You want to do all this stuff.
I know he wants to get into into the coach
and that I was like, Bro, but you you you
you know what I mean, like a tone nickelineers people
like that, like Bro, get on those benches, you know,
get on those benches. Get on so that when you
could be the coach and you could instead of how
he didn't help you, you can help the next one.
Speaker 2 (01:04:54):
Like everybody got like a story like that too. It'd
be tough, man, but hey man, that's that's the go
to try to help kids. Now.
Speaker 1 (01:05:01):
The mentors always remembered, That's what I'm saying. I forget
some Uh. It's funny because the people like that's the thing.
So social media, the negatives and the positives. But when
we did that, we had Marshall one of our mentors.
We had Marshall. Brass City used to be the Boys
and Girls Club for us when you were little, and
(01:05:23):
I had him on here and that was like one
of my most liked videos, and like because people just like, oh, marsh,
you know what I mean, nostalish the type it was.
It was no, just like people, you see how much
how much he means to a generation of us, all
of us, Like we're in our damn we're in our
thirties and we still look up, look up to this man.
(01:05:43):
And I haven't been to the Boys and Girls since
I was like ten years old, you know what I mean. Like,
it's just that we have reached my favorite part of
the show. These had a question. The Questions is a
(01:06:11):
game we play at the end of every episode. It's
a pretty simple game. We just give ask you to
give you two different Jesus set up what I give
you your questions, two different options. You choose one or
the other one, just like having the red pill of
blue pills. Okay, okay, don't pig no orange purpose my
one hundred and fifty third time doing that. They're all
(01:06:33):
gonna be crystal clear clean. This one. I thought I
had that It just literally in the back of my head.
All right, Yeah, first question, you kind of hinted at
it and when you said it, so that's gonna touch
at it. First question is always the same, Jordan or Lebron, Damn.
Speaker 2 (01:06:53):
Rondo just grew up watching him. Man, I ain't seen
no MJ play bro.
Speaker 1 (01:06:58):
Like these on YouTube. You can watch the full games,
full games.
Speaker 2 (01:07:03):
That's the guy right there.
Speaker 1 (01:07:06):
He's not my goal, but I am a big fan
of him. I think all this attitude and all this
like all his ship talking comes from like he's finally
realizing that people are not going to see me as
the go. You might but the majority, the majority, and
I think that annoys him in his camp, it annoys him.
That's why they don't like Steven, and because Steve his
(01:07:26):
adamant like you a number two, which is nothing wrong
with being the second best player of all time. I
don't know. I'm sorry Lebron has been rking me in
the last couple of couple of last month. That that
interview on podcasts. Yo, I'm pat McAfee. That shit pissed
me off, Like, Bro, you don't usually like a bully bro, Like, ahh,
I'm the greatest go. We'll just talk about all of y'all.
Speaker 3 (01:07:48):
All, y'all.
Speaker 2 (01:07:51):
Like the documents. It will be crazy gonna be.
Speaker 1 (01:07:55):
I was looking for like a good Lebron James like document.
You know he's going to be the one producers going
to try production team you Lebron James team has hasn't
produced one thing that's successful I can think of. Remember,
remember they didn't know the space jam that was crazy.
Speaker 3 (01:08:16):
There was one you don't have to do what they do.
I can't remember what it was, but it was one
successful one and something that we didn't know that he
was part of.
Speaker 1 (01:08:24):
That's why the movie, right, I forgot.
Speaker 2 (01:08:26):
Now he did have a good movie though he was
on that team. I forgot what the name? I forget
shut on him.
Speaker 1 (01:08:35):
Shout out. I still love Lebron. You know, it's just
just crazy to be talking this crazy ship about Lebron
when when you was pulling up the Celtics games with
Lebron ja Yeah, I.
Speaker 2 (01:08:47):
Was in the building, I know, but for my son dog.
Once LEBRONI on that that green for real.
Speaker 1 (01:08:56):
I'll be back. We appreciate of Jordan fans back in
the day, even back.
Speaker 3 (01:09:04):
To Jersey there you're starting whatever.
Speaker 1 (01:09:11):
Al Right, what's a better highlight dunking on somebody dropping
somebody ship.
Speaker 2 (01:09:17):
I ain't dunk and ship, so drop somebody.
Speaker 1 (01:09:21):
None you.
Speaker 2 (01:09:26):
Dunking on somebody for especially with letter fly man. We
got this rule right, we invented it. We say its
rule number five. So if you get dumped on, you
got to sit out. We stopped the whole game. Everybody
go crazy. You gotta set up for one possession. Everybody
knows the rude or it's like dudes don't get mad.
None of that's like they walk right over may You
(01:09:49):
got so many clips. We got like every year somebody
get dumped on and notable.
Speaker 1 (01:09:54):
That's a dope, boy.
Speaker 2 (01:09:55):
I think the other when a j played a j
de bosson you play, he dunked on some dudes. He
like six ten six nine.
Speaker 1 (01:10:01):
You just boomed on them.
Speaker 2 (01:10:04):
Whole gym went crazy. Bro sh was Now every time
you're seeing like yo, you know he.
Speaker 7 (01:10:08):
Got don't do all that fly You know one dude
that one dude? Hold up, yeah, like hold on this,
Mulda be positive. If I went market basket picking up
from Delli, excuse me saying I think I saw you
get dunk down and let it fly man. I dropped
forty that game with my kids.
Speaker 1 (01:10:33):
That's crazy. That day.
Speaker 2 (01:10:36):
Dunk through them. Man, that's it's a force.
Speaker 1 (01:10:38):
Yeah, I didn't see. I didn't play enough defense to
get dumped on. I gotta dropped one time in my
life because I didn't play enough defense and get dropped either.
But one time, and it was worse because like you
know what, like someone who got you was like he's
not supposed to get you. That's what. I never get dropped.
But this dude just did a little funny step bro,
and I thought I was like, oh, I remember.
Speaker 2 (01:10:59):
I got dropped one time, but I don't really count
it because.
Speaker 1 (01:11:03):
No one ever counts yourself.
Speaker 2 (01:11:06):
No counting is because we were we were going to
tournament in New York and we were leaving from my age.
We leave from Cambridge. Man, we leave it came at
four am to play at nine thirty. So we man,
we right off the bus. We're going right to go pooping.
We just for it was like the first like I'm like,
(01:11:27):
I'm not gonna wake my legs. My leg's been craying.
We like ten people in the van saying I'm like
ship and time.
Speaker 1 (01:11:36):
Sleep picked the ground like.
Speaker 2 (01:11:43):
It's generally they're so scared to get bobbed or get
dunk throw because the cameras is out. One thing, Chico,
I don't know if y'all seen it. Yeah, that ship
was crazy.
Speaker 1 (01:11:53):
I haven't seen due.
Speaker 2 (01:11:55):
All the dudes had caught it back. He went to
the topic key, he crossed them, he touched the floyd,
brought it back, put it through his legs and just
dunked it.
Speaker 1 (01:12:04):
Man who ship went crazy? That nigga needs to leave, bro,
no need for all that bro you got would have
been like, I think that's the whole mo.
Speaker 2 (01:12:21):
What's crazy though? When I first saw the highlight, it
was yesterday when I first start the highlight, I seen
the video. Du put it through his legs whatever, dunked it,
and I've seen another version he threw it off his
head first, I'm like, yo, he started with that. Nah,
I mean this is crazy, Yo.
Speaker 1 (01:12:39):
I don't know why I was gonna. I don't know why.
I acceptable like problem. You knocked me in my face
with the ball. We're not playing basketball. The more you're
getting you're not doing under between you go to store
off that niggas whatever you throw off my head, do
(01:13:00):
thet or whatever.
Speaker 2 (01:13:01):
I'm found.
Speaker 1 (01:13:02):
Yeah, you better pull up and shoot it. But if
you try to drive in I'm little clothes lining recently
like a couple ale, like between the legs, like through
the legs, And I was thinking, like, damn, maybe you
still do this, your massive king of that stay put.
Speaker 2 (01:13:21):
Tricking the wife boys to be there, bro ship that boy.
Speaker 1 (01:13:25):
Yes, how about you feel like I just go to
write this the type of way when the pastor comes
and drops thirty on you that I would feel a
little bit. I woul feel like they ain't gonna pray
on pray on Sunday and then drop thirty on you
Saturday night. I be kind of like that. I mean
at that church, like act like he didn't even do
nothing exact like you. Maybe I should go to check.
(01:13:48):
Probably maybe I just got drop. Let me see what
the big deals sure like see if you got Maybe
it's the Holy One, maybe it's maybe it's that next one.
Better movies, better series of movies. The rush our movies
are the bad boy movies.
Speaker 2 (01:14:10):
Rush out Rush that's hilarious. You're even bad boys.
Speaker 1 (01:14:16):
That's tough.
Speaker 2 (01:14:16):
They turned it up. They turned it up out of all.
Speaker 3 (01:14:20):
The movies of both series, which is the best movie
has the one best movie, like Bad Boys one, Bad
Boys two.
Speaker 1 (01:14:27):
Or.
Speaker 2 (01:14:31):
That original manus.
Speaker 1 (01:14:34):
Likes hilarious, Kenny, that's number two. That's two man, Yeah,
come on man, no, it's not, it's not. That's one
Chinese you know the Chinese restaurant on that's number two.
Speaker 3 (01:14:55):
They're in Hong Kong.
Speaker 1 (01:14:56):
He's right, he comes back, they come back, they come
back in America. Look this dude. What you gave him?
The count of it? Yeah, I'm I'm I worked that
ship on no because I had the confect money and
then we got paid with the Conft money.
Speaker 3 (01:15:13):
Then I had to go to the tracks.
Speaker 1 (01:15:15):
Just had dragon yesterday. You should have known. He had
a red dragon shueh.
Speaker 3 (01:15:20):
Yesterday, a guy that came back to Vegas. Yeah, I
was good the movie.
Speaker 1 (01:15:26):
We just got what we were then to find him
before I ship jack I don't like how Jackie you
said he didn't like to rush our movies. If he
felt that way, Jackie, don't, don't say he didn't see
(01:15:47):
in an interview he's like, I didn't really like to
rush ower movies. I didn't understand it because he did
understand the humor. He didn't like. What the fuck, but
what did bro keep that to yourself? Like what we
love you, Jackie, was one hundred years old. Let him
answer how he wants to everyone? Three all about I
don't know so many these people be asking questions, get
crash questions like Jackie Chan at ninety years old. While
(01:16:09):
you interviewing Jackie Chan like well.
Speaker 3 (01:16:11):
He had card k come out.
Speaker 1 (01:16:12):
Yeah, And that's when I asked him everything right, Oh,
we'll get another rush hour. Why not Picky's brain too?
It's Jackie chair.
Speaker 3 (01:16:19):
Yeah, but you might got something gems in there, and
he's still doing something.
Speaker 1 (01:16:22):
I want to ask when I ask here, Yeah, you
might get some answers you don't want to hear. Remember
when we talk with to Pa about like gay right
ship and he said something you know what I mean?
While you ask Jackie you know you never know old
people from my name, you know legacy by Yeah, then
it says something crazy, and all of a sudden we
(01:16:42):
we hate Jackie Chan, know jack I will never hate Jackie.
Oh this this world will.
Speaker 2 (01:16:48):
Turn on you Wick real quick quick, but not kidding.
Speaker 1 (01:16:53):
Say one thing is over, so we watch our mouse
on this ship. I slip up a little bit something
all right, next work, who would winning the All Star Game? U?
S A or the world.
Speaker 2 (01:17:09):
I'm going us A man, you say, is.
Speaker 3 (01:17:13):
That you're pride talking because you I feel like it's
the only time that they'll take it seriously US.
Speaker 1 (01:17:19):
I don't think anything will do. I don't want I
don't want to go down there because they'll just get
me angry. I think we got like we like they
get mad when we say, like, you're all scard dude,
y'all not trying. We're gonna delete it in the players,
like what we are blaming us? It's your fault, like
you're not playing. And then they changed, they changed the
(01:17:41):
ways that we're gonna do USA in the world. Now
we don't want to do that's whack. Well, don't play bro,
like like gods West and I see that all I
want bring it back to you. Just terrible. Yeah, it's
a bunch of overpaid pointers, bro, Like why am I
gonna go play an exhibition game in Vegas when I'm
making fifty five million dollars a year.
Speaker 3 (01:18:02):
Also, they're saying, how you're there for twelve hours where
the game starts, just doing interviews and all this fan stuff.
He's like, I don't want to do this, rather not
be an all star.
Speaker 1 (01:18:10):
Oh man, you know what your uh you know it
sucks you have to do all that, but you also
get fifty five million dollars a year.
Speaker 3 (01:18:16):
Yeah, I'm sorry.
Speaker 1 (01:18:17):
I'm not into hearing a millionaire's complain like the same
question soo many times. Damn, you have another interview in
an hour. How are you gonna get through it? Wake up?
I worked outside of ninety eight degree weather today, one
hundred and two. You know what I mean. I'm sorry
(01:18:42):
you have to do an extra interview, Taylor. That's why
I hit you.
Speaker 2 (01:18:46):
It's more like, Yo, we're straight, because I know it
was mad hot good.
Speaker 1 (01:18:53):
I said, oh, we're straight. I know we're gonna Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:18:57):
I was scared because every time the video in the room, Man,
I'm driving like you gotta be hasty.
Speaker 1 (01:19:04):
Rant you put up in the buildings like this looks
like essentially all right, we're in the summer, summer time obviously,
because it's the heat. Barbecue question off the grills, chicken
wings and steak.
Speaker 4 (01:19:21):
Tips depends on the stage cooked though, you know what I.
Speaker 2 (01:19:29):
Mean, say you're cooking it chicken safe.
Speaker 1 (01:19:36):
I thought the grilling state tips off the grill. I
thought the grills just don't burn it.
Speaker 3 (01:19:44):
Overdone.
Speaker 1 (01:19:44):
But I want I want everything burnt as from from
the grill. I'm that guy, little chrisy crazy like normally
because it's nice.
Speaker 3 (01:19:53):
Charge and yeah, I don't want to it's great.
Speaker 1 (01:19:56):
I don't have to favor God. But you know what
I mean, like when it do leave that ship another minute,
like you know what I mean, if it's close, if
you think like that, because no one wants to get
I mean some burgers. You look in the middle of
that ship and you're like, it's cold. So I'd rather
be safe than sorry burned that bitch. At least I
know it's cooked. All right. Since we did find out
(01:20:21):
that Lebron's youre going, I guess this question makes a
little more sense now you see my enthusiasm. Which was
the better Lebron Miami Heat Lebron or Lebron's Cleveland's second
stint second stint Cleveland? Mm hmm.
Speaker 2 (01:20:39):
That second he was he was he was.
Speaker 1 (01:20:43):
Going to like the new level of like he was,
he was heat, he was super villain and then heaped
like But I think I agree where I think he
was a better player in Cleveland the second time. But
that Lebron in the heat was scary. That was an
angry there was a Celtics to eighty five had about
thirty more pounds of muscle naturally or you know it
(01:21:07):
must have been the food in Miami.
Speaker 2 (01:21:10):
Yeah, taking the charge on them off.
Speaker 1 (01:21:14):
I don't take charge people. When he was on the
heat two k when he was on the heat, nothing
from jumped up thet Yeah, he was getting to the
basket regardless.
Speaker 3 (01:21:27):
Hot is it John Lucas? He jumped over valleyspectful.
Speaker 1 (01:21:32):
So pat Riley deserves all the accolades, all the wars,
all the praise. He's a goat. We need to look
at how many things he fumbled. How do you fumble
out because everybody out the cookies man, Yeah, yeah, right,
the one thing he needed all the way, good back,
all the way to the we're talking about trades. How
(01:21:56):
don'd you get Kevin Durant Miami? I thought that was
gonna be way. Do you see why they didn't get him? Who? Like,
they didn't want to trade away. I don't remember the
guy's names to nobody's. I was like, pat what are
you like? Kevin Durant wanted to go to Miami, but
they would they wouldn't improve the package because they want
to I don't even know the kid's name. I forget
I'm thinking of it. We should know him name and
(01:22:17):
it would stop from yeah, jocked whatever. Yeah, they didn't
want to let go of him for Kevin Duranty. They
won't trade to Tyler Hero either.
Speaker 3 (01:22:32):
That's the one I heard. Bam Bam wants to change.
Speaker 1 (01:22:38):
It's time. No, you know, Pat Roddy needs to just
step away. It's time. Bro. You're your way of doing
things doesn't work anymore. Like you can't even get people
to do an also game. You think you're gonna get
him to weigh themselves every day and like right, they
shut up. Bro, nobody wants to go there. You're in Miami.
You can't do nothing because this dude is literally like
Scarface down there. You can't even take a pics a
(01:23:00):
seven eleven When I was like, He's like, yeah, I
saw you at seven eleven. So was like, bro, I
just want my cookies. Man, I'm out here the cookies.
I feel it though, read Bro, just don't takeokies. I
just don't understand, Like listen, I get it, like you
got to treat everybody the same, not every No, you
don't coach everything for real. Your best player is a
(01:23:24):
minute late. I mean maybe maybe I'm not looking at
the clock when you walk in, you know what I mean? Maybe,
I mean, but if you you fighting for a spot
like yo, fifteen minutes surays on time, you gotta you gotta,
like Lebron, let him eat whatever the fuck he wants.
It was on a plane, on the plane in the
middle of a twenty game winning street. What do you mean?
(01:23:47):
Come on, man, come on, pat, come on, think about it.
He's pretty stay pretty long in Miami. But Parodi is
usually known for out of that who Miami. It was
four years four years o Lebron and they went to college,
two titles. Alright, all right, another summer question. What you
(01:24:12):
do prefer beach or pool?
Speaker 2 (01:24:14):
Pool?
Speaker 1 (01:24:15):
Absolutely? I did both the last couple of days. I
prefore pool the beach. The beach. I got nowhere near
the water. I didn't even see the water. I didn't
even know where. It was like I sat over there,
but I didn't get nowhere close to that ship. It
was like it's a long walk. I was like, I
would have know I'm not going on there.
Speaker 2 (01:24:32):
Man.
Speaker 3 (01:24:34):
Yeah, I was not fast stand anyway that were saying
you you're gonna mess around and being caught one of
these dresses, one of these little he'd be out here
and swimming in the middle of the ocean and we're in.
Speaker 1 (01:24:46):
They're in my time. That boy came back winded. I
told that story to someone else. I was, I was.
Speaker 2 (01:24:55):
I went to I went to dr but I think
it was like Seewee Season's it was mass. It was
like attracted. Just pick it all up, it doesn't matter
what happens.
Speaker 1 (01:25:07):
Still there.
Speaker 2 (01:25:08):
I'm like, man, I'm just going to the pool.
Speaker 1 (01:25:09):
Bro right, you got to wear the water shoes like
the flippers water do you guys? Just go to resort
seeing the pool from eleven to eight o'clock and drink
the whole day because it's amazing. It's not free. You
pay for that ship.
Speaker 3 (01:25:26):
Oh now I paid for it.
Speaker 1 (01:25:28):
That when they called the pool, that's seven o'clock when
you're getting out that pool, and that said, oh he's
at the same time. You have to bring out the wheelchairs.
How you did it? You're just like, oh, I know, right, yeah, Yo.
We were like forty five minutes later about you, and
it was our idea to go. The whole family' stre
(01:25:48):
waiting for us. We show up, but we're literally like
we're there, but we're not there like you. Just like crashed,
they're just picking out like karaokee chickens, good time. I'm
going in that few weeks actually, all right? Uh? In
their prime? T mac evince.
Speaker 2 (01:26:06):
Teammate click answer.
Speaker 1 (01:26:10):
I'm arguing a couple of days ago each other. No,
Stephen about because because Lebron's ring culture thing, of course
Tea feels. But the ones who didn't win always feel
some time.
Speaker 3 (01:26:22):
I mean like it doesn't matter.
Speaker 1 (01:26:23):
Of course you don't think it matters, Bro, you don't
have any.
Speaker 2 (01:26:28):
American Yes, I.
Speaker 1 (01:26:30):
Think him and Mellow proved to me that, like you
could still be legendary without having ranked. Yeah, what I
when we're talking rings the way I use ring talk,
when we're separating the top ten, top fifteen players of
all time, that's when you can start counting rings.
Speaker 3 (01:26:49):
Yeah you know what I mean.
Speaker 1 (01:26:50):
That's because like that's the way how you you know,
move the order. But just because you haven't I mean,
is one of the most players at all of all time.
I mean we don't. He didn't win nothing. So people
are up there because they rings like who but Russell?
What if you're doing it off of likes a lot
(01:27:14):
of better players, yeah, who just never got opportunity than
that rings.
Speaker 2 (01:27:20):
I do know Russell Westbrook sick right now right and
Chris Paul.
Speaker 3 (01:27:25):
Especially Chris Paul.
Speaker 1 (01:27:27):
Russell Westbrook, the way he plays, I can see why
you're not gonna win ship. I could see that. James
hard Is that is that me, I hold the ball.
There's a reason he averaged a triple double.
Speaker 2 (01:27:37):
He has the ball, the system.
Speaker 1 (01:27:38):
Yeah, yeah, I mean exactly those guys. I can see
Chris Paul the way he plays, You're supposed to be
a championship point guard, you know what I mean. I
think he's more disappointing than like Russell Westbrook. Like you
heard fifteen years ago, you're gonna talk like, yo, he's
not gonna get a ring.
Speaker 3 (01:27:53):
I was.
Speaker 1 (01:27:54):
I can see that. James Harden, you knew he was
gonna win a ring a decade ago. Kobe told you that.
These guys who like the Chris Paul is literally passed first.
You know, you would think.
Speaker 3 (01:28:05):
Helps every team by like twenty wins.
Speaker 1 (01:28:07):
You would think you would think he'd be Drew Holliday
right now, winning in Milwaukee, winning in Boston, being that
thing that takes you over the hell being that leader.
But that boy's cursed.
Speaker 3 (01:28:21):
Playing good number two in assists.
Speaker 1 (01:28:23):
I think he's gonna go with Dallas.
Speaker 2 (01:28:25):
Who Chris Paul, you've retired.
Speaker 1 (01:28:29):
He played eighty two games. Yeah, he wasn't hurt at all.
Eighty two games.
Speaker 3 (01:28:34):
I'm sure he was finally healthy.
Speaker 1 (01:28:35):
He's forty years old. He was hurt. I can't hurt
things hurt, but spurs. Yeah, internet's crazy. You gotta be
really careful when you know he's like yo, I don't
say nothing or text nobody till at least see it
three or four. So my phone was the alerts.
Speaker 3 (01:28:52):
So if I don't get the alert, I don't believe
because if it's something big Bleacher reports hit.
Speaker 2 (01:28:57):
Me the West, he's gonna go get some bread, right.
Speaker 1 (01:29:01):
I don't think I think I think like heired. I
don't think he has a choice. I don't think. I think.
I think you got office, that crazy got that bag,
go get it, because like, man, where was he gonna
play next year? You know what I mean? Where? Man,
he's he's pretty solid. Like the problem is just like
(01:29:22):
when you when something like that like Rustbrook commands ship
when he gets to you know what I mean, you
can't put at the end of the bench. He's gonna
become a problem. So it's Westbrooking for you, the little ship.
He's not being evinced, he's not being Paul where he's
gonna go season sitting on the bench the whole time.
He's not gonna He's not gonna be He's not gonna
do that. He's high energy. So once you know you
(01:29:43):
can't be a rotation player, why even sign him. He
puts it all into it. He does nobody. He put
off China. He's gonna put it good to be talking
about China to throw me up. If I'm thirty thirty
years old and i know my NBA is done and
China throws me a crazy he bag even maybe not
exactly right now, because there's a little crazy right now
(01:30:03):
in the world. But I'll take an overseas bag to
play one or two seasons to end my career. Why
not as your Russell Westbrook? Yeah, Russell Westbrook without no job,
nigga legend you think freaking uh he did good though,
he did good with them though. Legend you think like
(01:30:23):
John said that.
Speaker 3 (01:30:24):
That's actually did go play overseas.
Speaker 1 (01:30:27):
Yeah, you know what I mean. You think like a
legendary hooper freaking did he really? Who did? I never
went overseas?
Speaker 3 (01:30:39):
Became guy.
Speaker 1 (01:30:43):
Stat China, Kemba Walker went overseas. Yeah, we're talking like
Russell Westbrook.
Speaker 2 (01:30:49):
Yeah, m v P somebody else reasonally not recently, but
a couple of years ago too, he went overseas too.
Got a crazy bag.
Speaker 1 (01:31:00):
I don't know if you have if you a career
like that Russell Westbrook is. I think it's the most
curious restum I've ever of an NBA player, Like the
man averaged a triple level three seasons in a row,
and looking back, it doesn't seem that anybody cares.
Speaker 3 (01:31:17):
Because the triple level is now every weekend, we need
it regular as hell. Yeah, he's the one that took
away the sparkle of it.
Speaker 1 (01:31:25):
He did Russell Westbrook the triple double.
Speaker 3 (01:31:29):
So now now Joker can get triple double for a
season and like.
Speaker 1 (01:31:33):
Okay, might have been the first recent like he kind
of like it wasn't averaging a triple double was They
weren't before Westbrook that was a thought of that was
literally like that would be crazy if someone did that.
Then he did three seasons in a row, and we're
looking ad at him like I think it should be
(01:31:53):
first ballot Hall of Famer absolutely is, of course yehs
wy he's not m VP. I wouldn't be shocked if
he's not the first ballot though why he didn't win,
so I'm not mean. Listen, actually one neither. Yeah, they're
all first ballot. That's what way too good? Whatever? Uh
(01:32:18):
little Wayne or jay z low Wayne listened to Carter six.
Speaker 2 (01:32:28):
Yeah I stopped after that, but Wayne.
Speaker 1 (01:32:35):
Shut out. He gave us enough music. Yeah right right,
I get guy. You could you could have gave us
something like decent sh like.
Speaker 3 (01:32:43):
This was like it was bars elephants, but that's not here.
Speaker 1 (01:32:48):
No, listen to his features. Listen, you got his kids
all over it. That's what it is.
Speaker 2 (01:32:53):
Like.
Speaker 1 (01:32:53):
The problem is printing money. The problem is I did
not have high expectations for Wayne this in twenty twenty five.
My expectations like this is gonna be aye, and you
wouldn't the way lower than that, so like you know
what I mean, like you couldn't even It's that I
gottaought this was was gonna be like the Car three.
I thought I was like, all right, it's because he's
gonna have his bar. He's gonna have some songs that
I'm gonna move on. I was like, all right, cool,
(01:33:13):
this was dope and to move on like most albums
you do. Anyways, No, that ship was horrible. I would
pick jay Z. What do you think about jay Z
against the roommates doing the super Bowl? People are gonna
be so mad.
Speaker 2 (01:33:29):
It's just like, I don't think you're gonna do it.
He won't do it?
Speaker 1 (01:33:32):
Why not? Why do I do it? To remind like
the new generation, I don't know.
Speaker 3 (01:33:37):
What one is gonna hate the most. They're gonna hate
the most. I don't think he really cares. It's like
he gets to check regardless.
Speaker 2 (01:33:43):
Yeah, I don't think he'll do it.
Speaker 1 (01:33:44):
I don't think so. I mean he's the gud picking.
Eventually he's going to pick himself. You run, You're gonna
run out of people who are picking up to the
super Bowl. I was lovely pick my guy Breezy. I
think it's time to give it. But Breezy just got
locked up again, So that's not good for the image.
Got damn it. Brown was so close. Just stop throwing
bottles that niggas. We might you know, we might get
(01:34:08):
the super Bowl like this, you should definitely get the
next one. Who not going to give some need a
couple left already did he needs Chris needs a couple
more years of like not not like sucking up, Like
we can let him on.
Speaker 3 (01:34:26):
The stage and then you're gonna make everybody remember how
great he was.
Speaker 1 (01:34:29):
And we're getting close to that. We're getting close, like
we're almost there, like it took a long time for
people to forget, Like almost there over the hump. We
want to grab me, you know what I mean. He's
going on stadium tours, people going to see him. It's cool,
all right. One of the biggest boxing fights that I
(01:34:49):
can remember coming up, Canelo or Crawford. Crawford Crawford, I
think it's I don't see it. I don't see a
waking up on I don't see really really.
Speaker 3 (01:35:04):
Nice.
Speaker 1 (01:35:05):
But who's he fought recently? Who has fucking Crawford fought recently?
You know what? I was so impressed by Crawford, but
I forgot, like I forgot the fight. It's been so dude,
they've been I haven't seen them fight since that last one.
Speaker 3 (01:35:20):
Yeah, but they've been doing so many like media, yeah,
so much media for for this fight. I keep forgeting, like, oh,
when is it? It's like months away. That's like it's
the day before Netflix money. Man, Man, I appreciate it
on Netflix for free. Yeah, I'll give you that. I'll
watch that. But yeah, I think.
Speaker 2 (01:35:42):
Netflix.
Speaker 3 (01:35:43):
Yeah, it's gonna be great as long as as a crash.
Speaker 1 (01:35:48):
No. They we've been doing pretty well since then. I
think I think, uh wrestling ras on every every Monday Live.
Speaker 3 (01:35:57):
Yeah, but I doubt it's at the same level as
on the first camera in there. I don't know, man, Hopefully,
hopefully gonna be a great fight.
Speaker 1 (01:36:05):
If it doesn't in the fight, don't worry. I got
didn't pay for it. I don't care. I just wanted
to be exciting fight because I'm gonna get to that
and I'm gonna find that fight regardless. I mean last
fight that didn't want to fight him, the Canelos last
fight was literally the worst thing.
Speaker 3 (01:36:17):
Ever said, doesn't want to fight. He's going around, what
are you doing?
Speaker 1 (01:36:19):
Why?
Speaker 3 (01:36:20):
Why do you sign a contract gonna fight?
Speaker 1 (01:36:21):
Knowing that track? All right? Whose career do you wish
was injury free? Hm? Brandon Roy, Greg Golden Brandon Roy, Yeah,
I might go Greg.
Speaker 3 (01:36:40):
I'm a I was a big fan of Greg.
Speaker 1 (01:36:42):
Yeah, I think you say Brandon Royd because he had
a lot of healthy He had a few healthy so
you saw how good he was. Yeah, bro, I said
Brandon Rooy because I related him more. I don't give
a damn about.
Speaker 2 (01:36:51):
That video is still sad, Greg Golden though that you
see the old lady was like, you played badly used
to a guy like that? Sad music.
Speaker 1 (01:37:00):
Got clicks to. He's like. But this is why I
love This is why I enjoyed the new sports media
when a lot of these players are being the podcast
I see him on the people podcasts all the time.
He seems like he's good like you, you know what
I mean. It's just like people giving him like yo,
you were not like podcasts give you an opportunity, but
you you were nice. People don't. The real media, NBA
(01:37:22):
media forgets about you trying to talk to trash, but
we remember you.
Speaker 2 (01:37:25):
Who was playing the n cub a turn with the
cast one hand killing killing offhand.
Speaker 1 (01:37:33):
I think he's Dwight Howard if he if he if
he doesn't get hurt, I think probably the same.
Speaker 2 (01:37:39):
Kind of That's when the big Man back then was
still like big man too, and ship like that, like
you still getting.
Speaker 1 (01:37:44):
You know what? I was a big fan of and
he got he got one guy that I got completely
played because of the NBA change my Duke guy a
little for a little for he was so nice. But
the second season, the NBA changed, like you a big man,
you gott shoot threes. I can't shoot threes well, nigga,
(01:38:05):
And he's just like what the He's literally your whole life,
mastering post moves, jump parks, killing that and then to
the league like, yo, we don't do none of that
ship no more. You gotta go sit in the bit
right here. He was killing them the.
Speaker 3 (01:38:20):
Four just like Jabari Parker just blow out his knee
seven times. Yeah, but he also was like that isn't
the same place on what team is he was on?
Speaker 1 (01:38:30):
The paces was the last time I saw he was on,
like the Sixers. I don't know. Someone signed him. I
think it was a Hornes three days killing in the
G League and someone brought him in.
Speaker 3 (01:38:40):
I forget, went overseas hitting threes and everything, so they
burnt him.
Speaker 1 (01:38:42):
Back and brought him back here a big man, like
you have to shoot, like there's no there's gonna be
someone to bring it back. It's gonna be that one big,
big character always saying that, like player, that just completely
changed the whole thing because if you have another shock,
then you have to change everything because now you have
to pay four bigs there, you have to have you know,
you have to play more zone, you gotta do what's
(01:39:05):
his name?
Speaker 2 (01:39:05):
I feel like, yeah, he just.
Speaker 1 (01:39:09):
Like broke his foot or something, right, but he's efenctively,
He's not like.
Speaker 2 (01:39:13):
That's what I'm saying.
Speaker 1 (01:39:14):
Man, God damn it, cops, Let's let leave these niggas alone. Man, Like,
like you are really pulling over. That means you had to.
You coughed a seven for six dude for speeding. Let
that man go home, man, Zach he got pulled over.
Speaker 3 (01:39:29):
Yeah, one hundred and three on like twenty five.
Speaker 1 (01:39:33):
Man liked yo, Yo, you just slow down, yo, d
lock them up. That sounds like I paint the ass.
I got to bring this big ass dude in the
back of my fucking I'm like, bro, get out of here.
Speaker 3 (01:39:46):
You don't feed that car card.
Speaker 1 (01:39:47):
Definitely don't bring the paddy wagon all for speeding.
Speaker 5 (01:39:52):
Bro.
Speaker 1 (01:39:55):
And this is Memphis, though you never know toll to
just last. But who has a better season next season.
The Lakers are the Knicks big markets. We didn't have
a big market to find him as well. Talk about
him now.
Speaker 2 (01:40:11):
To be honest, I think the Knicks because he's gonna
be wide.
Speaker 1 (01:40:15):
Open, you know what I'm saying.
Speaker 2 (01:40:17):
Lay still in the West. It's still gonna be nice though,
you know what I'm saying. It's gonna be hard though.
But I think that I was talking about. I was like,
the next guy, this is their chance right here, you
know what I'm saying.
Speaker 1 (01:40:26):
But something tells me they gonna fuck it up.
Speaker 3 (01:40:29):
Yeah the Knicks, Oh yeah, absolutely, First all, get a coach.
Speaker 1 (01:40:34):
Yeah, that would help.
Speaker 3 (01:40:35):
First start, get a.
Speaker 1 (01:40:36):
Coach this team, just to give Mark Jackson. I know
he said some wild ship, but like he's a great coach.
That was a long time, but let it go, man, Yo,
they'd be black bottom year. You're not coming back, Like yo,
you're not, Like we don't care. And then they got
tired of announcing you know what, you're too close to
the court now. It was like when the last time
(01:40:57):
us hear him announced no last ship too. He was
on first of all announced crew for the NBA Finals
were absolutely horrible. Who was it? Doris Burke.
Speaker 3 (01:41:05):
Yeah, but she's not coming back next year.
Speaker 1 (01:41:07):
No good, because like I think, I think there was
a couple of years like a right, Doris was cool
and I was just like, all right, Doris. Richard Jefferson
is too much of a clown. We don't respect his voice. Reggie,
Reggie sucks.
Speaker 2 (01:41:23):
He was all into that fucking that nick.
Speaker 1 (01:41:25):
He was in that ship. Yeah, to lose again that
people get mad at if people get mad at him.
Probably every time I almost won through them and I
still lost.
Speaker 3 (01:41:35):
Whenever the Pacers beat the next they always lose the
next time. Next round, you almost had it. Some teams
are just not destined to win.
Speaker 1 (01:41:41):
Some just losers, bro just losing city likes like Indiana,
you thought you had a chance, stop it, like you didn't.
Actually always had the same thing about Oklahoma City. So
who am I to say?
Speaker 2 (01:41:54):
Even when the Knicks were up on the celts, I'm like,
there's one franchise that that could blow a lead is
the New York Knicks.
Speaker 1 (01:42:00):
It was like, too old, we have had forty before
you went down. You don't know, you don't know, Yeah,
you funk up somehow, any town. That's what a guy.
You're so lucky Dominican because like the every time my
law I have to defend him and I have to
support you, but you make it real hard. Pause. Yeah,
(01:42:24):
it's just like dog and I got a roof for
you and ship like stop, man, Like that's funny.
Speaker 3 (01:42:30):
I was watching it with my wife and he does so.
Speaker 1 (01:42:33):
He's like zasty do man, like to a pig. I'm like,
who does you know? It's crazy? Like God, damn it, man,
you're not helping it, Dominican stereo. You're not helping us
at all.
Speaker 3 (01:42:53):
He changes his voice to be deeper and then he
had a good game. All right, buddy, that's how you talk.
Speaker 1 (01:43:00):
Call it out. But they just expose them the ship
that sucks. Like think about the players, like yo, they
get the Internet just finds everything about them. You can't
even live like Jordan has to deal with that ship,
you know what I mean. Nineties players never really had
to deal with that ship. Jordan's just off the whatever
they do, the media or whatever high it was before.
He couldn't deal with right. He wanted out from like them. Ben.
Speaker 3 (01:43:22):
Yeah, yeah, everybody has twenty four hour access to you ship,
like man, that's why they deserve the money. They get
because all the screwtiny, all the bullshit had to deal with.
But at the same time everything softer too.
Speaker 2 (01:43:37):
Just they don't go on after they after the bad game.
It's like, I'm straight.
Speaker 1 (01:43:43):
A lot of that stuff.
Speaker 3 (01:43:43):
But on the let's do what Chelsea both said. He
had he had players posting on a halftime he got dude,
got dunk. He halftime tweeting his own thing, like what
are you doing?
Speaker 1 (01:43:57):
You know, if I'm the coach, you're not playing and
a half, like a week and a half, Like, don't
even look at the don't even look at the basketball.
You're running for the rest of your life. Shout out
got here, Yeah, probably I'll I'll probably kick you off.
Shout out. Shout out to entertainment, Yes, shout out the
