To be one with the universe ultimately means personal sacrifice. Not a negative! Just prepping the heart to meet the calling and expectations. Making it a smoother journey requires hope, trust, faith and belief. We've made it too easy to suddenly shift and walk away. Click bait plays with the strings of our heart. There's a lot of con artists roaming the planet and innocent people are being knocked down because they bought into an ...

Thanks for being part of the conversation I am the Poet In The Forest. A children series I penned out in the 1990s. None of it would be possible if it wasn’t for this forest in South Charlotte, NC. I talk about it so much that I thought maybe it’s time you get to meet all that inspires me. Thanks for being part of the conversation

Every day is never the same. We walk into a new 24-hour period knowing what needs to be done realizing someone from somewhere is going to throw a wrench into the spokes. Do we truly change this much or is it evolving? I'm not sure my parents would understand how we are more open and self-serving today than any other time. And for what reason? This isn't ours to keep!

Leafless trees that can't identify which direction the wind is coming from. The water in the nearby lake acts like ballerinas dancing in ways that keeps them from slamming into each other. The several layers of bird songs and one daffodil. God's way of saying spring is on the way.

With so much change we've got to learn to plant better steps. I worry about this because of what happened to my freshly planted lawn. A beautiful green then gone. We tend to turn away too quickly assuming the universe has our backs. We are moving through the highest peaks and lowest valleys. Deserted deserts to having way too much at the wrong time. There's so much moving that getting balance is proving to be too tiring. We need to...

We're constantly in need of wanting to talk with family and friends but are we truly listening to what's being shared? What if we just listened?

What we need is a guarantee. We tend to forget how we are tools in a world that's out of control. There's value in the process of sharing; it's going to require bending. The process comes with requirements connected to outreach. The wall takes shape when the takers continue to take advantage of those willing to share. Somewhere along this path those who endlessly take have got to become sharers. Locating that inspiration is nearly ...

As a child, I always heard my parents complaining about how much pain they were in. Their legs, hips and backs. Never once did I think it was headed my way. My mission to make sure I don't pull this machine off the path.

All that was once positive sits in a jar by the door. But who is it for? All the lonely people? There are too many of us ...
