Speaker 1 (00:30):
Hello, my fellow Americans, and good day to our friends
around the world. This is a political talk show. Thank
you for being here, Thanks for being a part of
the show here on WRM N fourteen ten am and
simulcast live on WRMN fourteen ten dot com. Thank you
very much for being here. My name is Dennis sonar Green.
(00:51):
This is Free Speech Friday. We have now opened up
the phone lines because this is the hot button issue
of the day. It just happened earlier with the Zelensky
press conference and President Zelensky. See, if I'm going to
say president for everybody else, I might as well do
(01:13):
it for him too. We'll play a little bit of that.
We will also get a little bit of your insights
as well. But first let me introduce our panel right here.
We're still waiting on one to come right back, but
that is okay. We've got Bendemonium, Boquest and Elliott Serrano
(01:35):
right there. Thank you both for being here.
Speaker 2 (01:38):
My pleasure.
Speaker 1 (01:39):
I like your suit.
Speaker 3 (01:41):
You think I didn't have a suit.
Speaker 2 (01:43):
Where'd you get it?
Speaker 3 (01:47):
I may I fashioned this. This is a real banana action.
Speaker 2 (01:51):
This Banana Republic. I love the Banana Republic catalog. It's
gotten more and.
Speaker 3 (01:59):
It's like, geez man, I just get it, Old Navy.
Speaker 4 (02:02):
It's yes and yes, and it's a first rule of improv.
Thank you for being here on YouTube. You could get
the joke on that side. We want to have YouTube
inside jokes mostly to get you not off the AM dial.
Speaker 1 (02:17):
But to check out the new digs, check out the
different things that we've got here and there, all of
the different banners down at the bottom in case you
would like to learn something.
Speaker 2 (02:27):
I love it when the banner for my show comes up.
Speaker 1 (02:30):
Right the podcast right there, tell us a little bit
about the quodcast.
Speaker 2 (02:34):
The torn Quadcast. It's the show where we talk about sports, entertainment,
sports and entertainment, and it's and here's the funny thing.
The show's been on. It's like it's going on. It's
fourth episode now. And if you google torn Quadcasts, it
is the number one search, someone one thing that comes up.
Speaker 1 (02:52):
And job on your seo.
Speaker 2 (02:53):
So yeah, the seo worked perfectly. I got all that together.
Got of course, WRMN has a nice YouTube page already
has a bit of SEO juice associated with it. Hooked
it up with my threads and my Facebook and all
that where I have a fair amount of followers there
Boom number one search result on the Google So please
if you go to the torn Quadcast, subscribe, share, check
(03:19):
us out. We're going to be talking tomorrow. We're going
to be talking about the WWE Premium Live event that's
a Saturday Elimination Chamber, so we'll be talking about that
and yeah, and then setting everyone up for the event
tomorrow night.
Speaker 1 (03:36):
That sounds fun. Let's talk about a little bit about
our business solutions, because we've got two great announcements here.
I mean other than the AP, which is our great announcement, that.
Speaker 2 (03:47):
Is, can I tell you something? And that's another thing
since I've come, I'm not taking any credit for any
of this stuff that's going on. All I know is
that when I showed up, suddenly we got the White
Sox on WRMN, We're getting the AP on WRMN, we
got a new morning show on WRMN. All these cool
(04:09):
developments that are going around here on WRMN and just
kind of like increasing are kind of like our prestige
or status.
Speaker 1 (04:16):
We've got that turn out the torn Quadcast as well.
But also somebody knows something. Did you hear the news
top ten percent of podcasts worldwide?
Speaker 2 (04:28):
Man, I saw that They even got a shout out
on WGN News. They talked about it.
Speaker 3 (04:34):
Yes, I don't know what it'll take for people to
take what I do serious.
Speaker 5 (04:39):
Well, maybe.
Speaker 1 (04:41):
What's wrong with them to wear more suits?
Speaker 3 (04:45):
Yeah, it's a big job.
Speaker 1 (04:46):
That our bananas.
Speaker 2 (04:48):
Again, for folks who are just listening over the air,
you're missing something out by not watching the live stream
and you.
Speaker 3 (04:53):
Should have never signed that contract.
Speaker 2 (04:56):
But no, seriously, that that you you produced that podcast.
You've been putting it to together for a while. Now
it came out. People are into it.
Speaker 3 (05:03):
It's so cool. It is just so cool. Like the
second that we started putting this thing together, I knew
it would be successful. And it's really like it just
speaks to the true crime genre and how great detectives
are and how great they have to be at their
job and just being fastidious and preparation and detail oriented,
(05:25):
and true crime as a genre is one of those
it's exploded in the last twenty years.
Speaker 2 (05:31):
And this isn't like scripted stuff. We're talking We have
real police detectives that are sitting and talking them through
this through with you, and you're putting it together.
Speaker 1 (05:38):
Yeah, they're literally going through the case.
Speaker 3 (05:41):
The cold case step by step and as they go
through it, they're walking everybody else through it too, And
it's in means for of course people use it as entertainment,
but it's also.
Speaker 1 (05:56):
A purpose.
Speaker 3 (05:56):
You know, you could help the investigate exactly, somebody. If
you see something, say something, if you know something, please
reach out, you know, And it's casting a wide net
and it's just the greatest application of podcasts podcasting I
think they can be made.
Speaker 1 (06:12):
And it's one of the only true crime podcasts that
actually goes on location to some of these places. Even
though it's cold, it's really cool, Like not just because
it's winter, but even though it's a cold case. What's
really neat about it is that they're still looking. There
are still clues, there are still things that are out there,
(06:33):
and the detectives being there and putting themselves in that
mindset of that bar or by that river or in
that field really adds to their thought processes, which makes
it really good. Listen.
Speaker 3 (06:49):
Yeah, for example, they'll be getting the dive team together
to do some an episode as well, so looking forward
to that awesome.
Speaker 1 (06:58):
If you would like your own own production, you can
absolutely reach out to Elliott at Sales at w rm
N fourteen ten dot com or Elliott with two l's
and two t's at.
Speaker 2 (07:12):
Sales at WRMN dot com or w rm N fourteen
ten dot com, you get me or Matt McNeil.
Speaker 3 (07:18):
Also a great point to that is they're on and
they listen to the episodes and then do some commentary afterwards.
Speaker 2 (07:28):
Yes, they'll be I'm sorry, go on.
Speaker 1 (07:30):
Such a value add such a value to the podcast.
Speaker 3 (07:32):
It's one of those things that I've missed, the DVD
commentary type of stuff, or you know, they always have
the podcast about the podcast, and this gives you an
opportunity as a show host to come on there and
do that.
Speaker 1 (07:44):
Make that available as part of that package too. Absolutely,
the reason that we do it is so that we
can show that you can do it too. Come on over,
get your own Torn quadcast, get your own Cold Case podcast.
Well maybe not those things specifically.
Speaker 2 (08:01):
Okay, but it's called wait, it's called somebody Knows Something
it is, right, which is also a great name. Right,
that is a great great who came up with the name.
Speaker 1 (08:09):
It was them?
Speaker 2 (08:10):
Then this is elgin PD Right, Yeah, that was awesome.
That was a great YEP. And the Torn podcast was
named by my co host Mark Fishman, who again, there
is no such thing as an original podcast or show
title around wrestling these days. So he came up with the.
Speaker 1 (08:28):
One that's amazing, the one that's skyrocketing on the SEO.
So I want to bring in our friend mister David T's,
but first I'm going to ask him. Is a hot
dog a sandwich?
Speaker 6 (08:45):
Yeah, because back in the seventies we used to put
it on bread when we didn't have a lot of money.
Speaker 1 (08:50):
Oh yeah, it is the white bread man.
Speaker 2 (08:53):
That is another thing I didn't think about. That's true.
Speaker 3 (08:55):
That's like dad's making dinner type stuff.
Speaker 2 (08:58):
The hot dog. Remember when when you had that white
slice of the slice of white bread, it was either
a hot dog bun, or you made cinnamon toast with it,
or you made your own pizza with it, you know,
put a little bit of the spaghetti sauce and a
slice of American garlic bread or garlic garlic bread.
Speaker 1 (09:15):
Yes, what would you like to talk about, mister T's.
Speaker 6 (09:20):
Well, first of all, a banana really seriously, Yeah, it
on YouTube and I'm like.
Speaker 2 (09:26):
Oh, the banana is not a sandwich.
Speaker 7 (09:28):
I do have to say, nice cop.
Speaker 1 (09:31):
It made you click that button right, it's like, Oh,
I wonder what they're talking about. Yeah, surely not politics.
Speaker 6 (09:39):
The banana. But I did want to say something for Elliott.
Speaker 2 (09:42):
I don't make me sigh, don't make a you're talking
about your show, your thank you. What do you think, honestly,
give me your honest person, your honest opinion. What do
you think about it? Because I know we talked about
it last week and you were like, oh, I want
to give it a listen. Yeah, I actually I liked it.
Speaker 6 (09:58):
I did like it, but I've got a big bwe.
I had to be corrected by some other people on that.
But the www. I used to watch it a long
time ago. But the rest the rest of it, I
actually did love it. Because you're talking about movies and
other type of things. I actually said and listened to
the whole thing. I enjoyed it.
Speaker 2 (10:17):
Well, thank you, And then we do lead off with
some Bears talk on this next one. So we'll talk
about the Chicago Bears, because I know people like talk
about some other sports. Yeah, I'll do that.
Speaker 3 (10:26):
You know, I was listening to it. I caught it,
and I caught just a part where you were talking
about the other circuits over in Europe and stuff like that.
I thought it was really interesting, like as someone who doesn't.
Speaker 2 (10:37):
Follow and I do believe we have the we have
a midday show, a new midday show. Trying to remember
the name the hosts. He's a former cop.
Speaker 1 (10:47):
Oh, we were talking about Bill Pellerino's Bill.
Speaker 2 (10:50):
Bill reached out to me. I guess his daughter runs
their own wrestling promotion. That's amazing, and he was like, Hey,
we'd love to have you come out to our to
the show so you can see it. I said, oh, definitely.
I couldn't make it this time, but I definitely want
to check the next one. So there are people, lots
of fans, even folks. We want to talk to, folks
in the area who have their own wrestling promotions. I
do know a couple actually, a couple of pro wrestlers
(11:12):
from around the area that I'd love to have on
the show.
Speaker 1 (11:13):
Yeah, Matt Brings. Matt Brings retired sheriff. I believe on
Bill Pellerinos to talk all about the different things that
he's done before. He's a big movie buff as well.
So let's get into our a political discussion real quick,
and David please stick around for a second too. I'm
(11:36):
gonna kind of pivot to instead of flying and having
that acceptable to recline. I think I might save that
one a little bit. Let's do a real quick one here,
a debate as old as breakfast itself. Do you pour
cereal first like a reasonable human being? No, I'm sorry,
I don't. Let's do bias or milk first like a
(11:58):
chaotic kid.
Speaker 8 (11:59):
No.
Speaker 1 (11:59):
I see this, that's leading leading. I know, your honor,
your honor. He's leading the witness only because this is
a quote from Breakfast Digest. Pouring milk first is like
putting on socks after shoes. Pure maddeness is what Breakfast
Digest says David. Before I let you go, I'll let
(12:23):
you answer first.
Speaker 6 (12:24):
US did milk?
Speaker 1 (12:26):
So you get to rite amount of milk and there
you go. Thank you. It's like those those those backwards
toilet paper roll people.
Speaker 9 (12:34):
Right, but cereal first and then pour your raw milk, David.
Speaker 6 (12:39):
Were My wife said, see one of those people with
the back whards.
Speaker 1 (12:42):
She sitting next to me.
Speaker 9 (12:46):
On Sam's got that rebellious spiders.
Speaker 1 (12:50):
I think it is. I think it is what it was.
It's the spiders side of it that's fair.
Speaker 9 (12:56):
Sent a Pede.
Speaker 1 (12:56):
You know, yeah, those house centipedes will get you. Hey,
thanks on Trees. We'll see you on Tuesday, where he's
actually taken over the a political talk show because I
will be over at Journey of Hope to moderate a
forum for the candidates for the city council. I heard.
Speaker 9 (13:17):
It's going to be a great time.
Speaker 1 (13:18):
It's going to be great, great place to ask your
own questions too.
Speaker 2 (13:22):
Hey, mister Ts, you want me to come in for
you on Tuesday if.
Speaker 1 (13:26):
You'd like to.
Speaker 6 (13:27):
I mean, you're born and welcome.
Speaker 1 (13:30):
I don't know. Now, now you get a chance to
blow his mind.
Speaker 2 (13:33):
There you go.
Speaker 9 (13:36):
You're gonna drive him bananas.
Speaker 2 (13:39):
I'll wear the banana suits, and I will on Sunday
for your fundraiser.
Speaker 9 (13:45):
I will see you on Sunday, mister Ts. I'm looking
forward to it.
Speaker 1 (13:48):
The Sunday right here, and then I think Mark Bilek
is having something on Saturday as well over at Arcades
next Saturday, next Timeaturday. Okay, I just want to make
sure I get my Saturdays. Okay, But yeah, that's going
to be a party. It's gonna be in karaoke too, Yes, yes,
(14:09):
if you wanna get some, you're gonna have karaoke on Sunday.
Speaker 9 (14:11):
I'm gonna have a DJ. Oh yeah, I'm gonna be
spending some oldies classic rock with a new house twist.
Speaker 1 (14:18):
Oh okay. And where's that gonna be at?
Speaker 9 (14:20):
That's gonna be held at Danny's Pizza on Douglas from
three pm to eight pm. Feel free to swing by.
You'll get a wristband and come on right there.
Speaker 1 (14:28):
Tell them Cecilia and w r men sent you.
Speaker 9 (14:31):
Please do, please do. We'll be happy to see you.
Speaker 6 (14:34):
You guys, take care of and mister banana, I'll see
you later, See you later.
Speaker 9 (14:39):
Potassium.
Speaker 1 (14:40):
Yeah, that's a lot of potassium over there.
Speaker 2 (14:42):
You should have went eat me. That's how you get
pot So I need you man first, me first?
Speaker 1 (14:50):
What have you got? Cereal or milk? First? Which one
goes in the bowl?
Speaker 2 (14:53):
Well?
Speaker 3 (14:53):
Usually uh, as a single guy, just a single banana.
Speaker 1 (14:58):
I just don't or does it even matter, because you.
Speaker 3 (15:01):
Need the true, true, true move strawberry milk and then
the handful of fruit loops.
Speaker 9 (15:11):
A flavor toned for your mouth.
Speaker 2 (15:14):
It's definitely cereal first. I can picture that though. That's
the thing you you painted so vividly. I picture you.
Speaker 3 (15:20):
Going screaming with the seal. It's cereal first.
Speaker 1 (15:28):
Is there anything else that's I guess that would need
to go first like that? Is there anything like cereal
that you always say this always.
Speaker 9 (15:38):
Goes first, sweeping before mopping.
Speaker 1 (15:41):
That's definitely, I'll definitely agree with that.
Speaker 3 (15:43):
One comes buttering the pan before eggs. Okay, put the
egg then butter.
Speaker 1 (15:49):
Okay. Well let's look at it this way. Salt and
pepper in your eggs? Does it go into the scramble
before or are you are you cooking it and adding
it while it's frying like if flavor meritate.
Speaker 2 (16:01):
Yeah, there's there's a chemistry. There's a chemistry to it.
Speaker 1 (16:04):
Yeah, well, salt do you I do salt first? That
helps with the emulsion to break it up. Pepper as
you're cooking that way, you don't make it gray like
you get the colors.
Speaker 9 (16:18):
You guys have to be careful. I'm about to send
all of you an invite to young Republicans go to Flavortown.
It is a wonderful group.
Speaker 1 (16:25):
It's a great name.
Speaker 9 (16:27):
I wish I could take credit, but I'd just like
to pay a visit to Flavortown.
Speaker 2 (16:31):
Well, what's this U what's his name is going to
like sue you for that, guy Fiery.
Speaker 9 (16:38):
You know what, it's just gonna have to deal with it.
Speaker 2 (16:39):
You guy Fiery is like, Hey, I'm just saying it's,
you know, for for what it's worth. I like how
you're pulling out all the the you know, the gen
X stuff for us olds.
Speaker 9 (16:52):
Okay, we'll change it to Flavor.
Speaker 3 (16:54):
Townor Flavor Flavor Flame.
Speaker 2 (16:57):
Now you're going even further back.
Speaker 1 (16:58):
I just thought of something.
Speaker 9 (17:00):
My soul was there.
Speaker 2 (17:00):
I was like the pepper bush guys.
Speaker 3 (17:06):
I just thought of something. That's that the correct way,
like the way that you may should put condiments on
a hot dog if I worded that correctly, Like I
just started actually doing mustard and ketchup or all the
condiments first, and then you put the hot dog on, Okay,
because when it's on top of you, it's all in my.
Speaker 9 (17:28):
Beard or they don't fall off that.
Speaker 1 (17:30):
Yeah, I do that with chili dogs. Chili dogs, I'll
put the the mustard. It's like the only time I
use yellow mustard because it's for children.
Speaker 9 (17:38):
Okay, speak of the devil and he does appeared chili
chili five way from steak and shake. Nothing beats that.
Speaker 1 (17:45):
Chili five Way? Is it? What is it? What's in
on it?
Speaker 9 (17:47):
I swear? Okay, so it's a Cincinnati original and it's
got You've got your spaghetti noodles, Oh bastards with Skyline
chili and Cincinnati is it original?
Speaker 1 (17:56):
Five way?
Speaker 2 (17:57):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (17:57):
Oh so yeah, So you got your your onions, you
got your cheese, and then you got your beans in
there as well.
Speaker 9 (18:05):
Beans.
Speaker 1 (18:06):
I said three way when I was a kid, But
afterwards you get you add more and more. But I'll
tell you a coney man with that cony, you throw
the mustard on the middle there. We're just gonna do
hot dogs every hour now is where it is. Welcome
to a hot dog show. Where So let's before we
(18:26):
head out. We've got about five minutes left in this
segment here, and I don't want to get anything too
heavy in five minutes. That's a little rough. So let's
talk about something that's light exactly, something that's light in
floats or maybe not floats flies. Is it acceptable to
recline your seat on an airplane? An age old battle
between seat recliners and seat defenders, right, because as soon
(18:49):
as you put your receipt back, you messed up everybody's
straight table at that point. So do you do it
because you are entitled to put it back? Or is
it a common courtesy? Who's first?
Speaker 3 (19:02):
I'll go since I said I already said don't do
it as a tall guy. But I mean, like, there's
a reason why there's the rules of don't recline during
takeoff and landing, And I think the idea behind it
is that it's like leg room, you know, knees, knees
(19:24):
are closer, that kind of thing. But as a tall
guy also like I need that reclination, you know, and
need to recline. It's it makes you more comfortable, it's
your space, and really it only does mess with the
tray table in my opinion, So I'm all for responsible reclining.
You know, if there's maybe a really tall guy behind me. Communication,
(19:47):
that's what it comes down to, you know, like you
you'd lean.
Speaker 1 (19:51):
Back and say look back and say, hey, is that
all right?
Speaker 3 (19:54):
Or you know, whatever is.
Speaker 2 (19:56):
My banana encroaching on your space? Yeah?
Speaker 1 (19:58):
I wear this fly.
Speaker 9 (20:01):
Do you want me to get up and peel?
Speaker 8 (20:03):
Oh?
Speaker 9 (20:03):
I'm sorry? Do you want me to split and peel? Man?
Speaker 2 (20:07):
I set that up. I feel ashamed for that.
Speaker 1 (20:10):
But it's your it's your right, right. I mean, why
would they make them recline if you weren't allowed to.
Speaker 9 (20:16):
That's you paid for your ticket too.
Speaker 2 (20:18):
Yeah.
Speaker 9 (20:18):
True, although with this wind, I might not even need
an airplane anymore.
Speaker 2 (20:24):
Right, brothers, you know what I'd say. If you're if
you're tall as one thing, if it's a long distance flight,
you got no choice. You need the brick at some point.
But if there's a kid behind you, like just a
little kid, then it doesn't matter because they don't care
because they're little. They don't And if anything, at some
point they're going to be kicking the back of your chair.
Because I'm telling you, odds are and this has happened
(20:45):
to me every time when I'm on a plane. If
it's a little kid behind me, the back of my
chair gets kicked.
Speaker 1 (20:51):
It's kind of like you're getting shadow manned by Southwest
or something. It's just like, oh, that's Elliott again.
Speaker 2 (20:57):
Yeah, Oh, we don't want him back here. That's why
I don't. I don't even fly Spirit anymore. Oh man,
If you want some of the break up with you,
I'm a ticket on Spirit Airlines. It'll be like, but
I was trying to help on you. I'm trying to
help you, but oh, I hate you. How do you
make me fly on spirit?
Speaker 1 (21:14):
So okay, we're saying, we're saying, at least for the
reclining side of it. It's back and forth. But can
we at least all agree that we need to keep
our shoes on?
Speaker 9 (21:24):
Yes? Who does that?
Speaker 1 (21:26):
How do you sleep in the house so that the.
Speaker 9 (21:28):
Amtrak as well keep your shoes on? I don't want
to smell your feet people.
Speaker 2 (21:32):
And the Metra, yeah, what's up with that?
Speaker 9 (21:34):
Oh? And the Blue line too, especially after one am.
Speaker 2 (21:37):
Their feet on the Metra putting your feet up on
the chair in front of you.
Speaker 3 (21:41):
Know, I think you're like, you have more problems in
your life if like just give that guy a pass,
like it's the Blue line.
Speaker 1 (21:48):
But I feel that if you wouldn't feel comfortable doing
it in a gas station, you should not do it
in any other public.
Speaker 2 (21:55):
Really, that excludes the blue walks into the Bend.
Speaker 1 (22:01):
Am You know?
Speaker 3 (22:02):
I wanted to make sure this wasn't a distraction.
Speaker 7 (22:04):
But.
Speaker 1 (22:06):
Well, now that you ask, okay, we got time for
just one more before we hit our brake over here.
And this is a question of probably physics or is
a societal I suppose, and how you view the world?
Do straws have one hole or two?
Speaker 2 (22:27):
Wow? That is man, that is like one of those
sound of one hand clapping kind.
Speaker 9 (22:32):
One hole, two circles.
Speaker 1 (22:35):
Okay, it's a two openings. Yeah, it's okay. Well then
it puts two holes in. Okay? Is it one hole?
One hole all the way through straight down?
Speaker 2 (22:44):
That is a really good question, I guess.
Speaker 1 (22:47):
But see, we've got guests thinking about this for the
first time. Are you a listener thinking about it for
the first time? I am one hole or two straws.
Speaker 3 (22:56):
Ere's because I think it comes down to the suction
about it, because if you add another hole, it's still
want only one hole is one way in, one way out.
But you can cover it and it's still back it's
back to just being one section.
Speaker 1 (23:13):
It's like staying a doorway has.
Speaker 9 (23:14):
Two open and put a straw in the ground. For example,
you have a hole in the ground, and then if
you take a straw out, but then you put stand
around it, you would still have one hole. You know
what I'm saying.
Speaker 1 (23:25):
Yeah, there's one hole, right sole one hole on a straw.
Speaker 2 (23:29):
Yeah, maybe I'm going to stop here because there are
a lot of inappropriate jokes going in my head.
Speaker 1 (23:33):
That's why I did this last, the last one.
Speaker 2 (23:35):
Yeah, So I'm going to let's go to a break.
Speaker 1 (23:37):
Yeah, absolutely, thanks a lot.
Speaker 2 (23:40):

substack now. That substack is where I'm going to put
a few of my show notes here and there to
make sure that I'm held accountable as well. I don't
want to be another one of those talking heads that
(29:14):
just says whatever is out there. We want to make
sure it's truthful and that way you can form your opinion,
don't just take mine, Read the facts, move it from there,
and to help us break down those facts. Is the
Free Speech Friday panel today. On this Friday, it is Bendemonium, Boquest,
(29:35):
Elliott Serrano and Cecilia Brooks. Thank you all for being here.
We really appreciate it.
Speaker 9 (29:40):
Thanks for having us.
Speaker 2 (29:42):
If you look if sorry, if you look at us
on the YouTube page, I swear we look like an
album cover.
Speaker 1 (29:49):
That's true. We all just need to be looking in
the other different directions. Screenshot screenshot right there. So we
got a few comments that are coming in because we
are going to be talking about the President Trump and
President Zelenski exchange. I thought it was a pretty angry exchange.
(30:13):
We'll let you decide a little bit here. The Dutchman
comes in and says, I was watching the news conference
from the White House. What a jerk. That was not right.
I honestly can't believe he did that. Sonar's Boxers comes
(30:33):
in as well and says, first, we take the side
of the Pariah nations on the UN resolution on Ukraine.
Then we witnessed the pro Putin display at the White
House today, Sadly we are no longer a global leader
for freedom. Ugh, that is that is tough to hear.
Speaker 2 (30:53):
I didn't hit that, but bub yeah, bell folks, that
was you know, that wasn't me.
Speaker 9 (30:58):
I'm a Reblican hit I have to say that was me.
I stand behind truth I am on this one.
Speaker 1 (31:05):
So I'm going to play a little bit of this
exchange for anybody who hasn't heard it. It did just
happen like in a just a few hours ago. President
Zelensky did not stick around Donald Trump.
Speaker 2 (31:18):
He was kicked out.
Speaker 1 (31:19):
Yeah, for the most part, by both our president and
our Vice president, who sits in the chair just off
the side. I don't know if it's always been that way,
but Trump threatened to withdraw the support for Ukraine. Zelensky
had urged Trump not to compromise with killer Putin. Trump
had said Zelensky is not ready for peace, and Zelensky
(31:42):
had left the White House early without signing the material deal.
So I'm going to play a little bit of the
exchange here, and it's the three minutes long. I'm only
going to play a little bit, but it it is
pretty much the same thing through the entire three minutes.
So I'm going to play a little bit right here.
Speaker 13 (32:00):
I'm not telling you because you're no position to dictate
that what was meant to be a critical meeting between
Alice to resolve a conflict roiling the globe dissolved into
a shouting match in the Oval Office between US President
Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky.
Speaker 2 (32:14):
We're not in a good position. You don't have the
cards right now with us. You start having right now,
You're you're gambling lives. Millions of people see you're gambling
with World War three.
Speaker 13 (32:29):
The meeting was meant to solidify a resources deal offering
US access to Ukrainian minerals to keep aid flowing as
KIV continues to fight the war with Russia.
Speaker 1 (32:38):
So we've we've heard quite a few different things from this,
including uh our own president calling President Zelensky a dictator,
also saying, oh, no, he didn't say that. He doesn't remember, well,
he doesn't remember, saying no he can't.
Speaker 2 (32:54):
I don't. I don't think I could ever call him that. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (32:58):
To the also point of saying that Russia did not invade.
Speaker 2 (33:04):
He also says that even though as a Fox host
he did say.
Speaker 1 (33:08):
That was like a big chiro at the bottom right
tracking the invasion of Ukraine.
Speaker 2 (33:14):
So we get some real Republicans in the White House,
get some real ones.
Speaker 1 (33:18):
You've got to get him from the grassroots effort.
Speaker 3 (33:21):
I think that Romney is chasing those hot dogs.
Speaker 1 (33:23):
Tott Romney got out when he needed to. When I
think about it, got out like the Beatles.
Speaker 2 (33:28):
Would it really have been bad? That bad to have
a Romney presidency? The more more I think about context
is important, man.
Speaker 1 (33:36):
The ongoing conflict in Ukraine has recently seen significant diplomatic
and military developments. A pivotal event was the contentious meeting
between the US President Donald Trump and the Ukrainian president.
Voladimir's Lensky. Please don't save Vladimir. I get a lot
of people that keep saying, Vladimir's Olensky. It does sound cool, Ladimir, Voladimir,
(33:58):
Vladimir is Prutin. Is Vladimir like Dracula? Yeah, just for
some reason, the town Hall news that we're going away
from keeps saying Vladimir is Alenski. But that's okay, We've
got some ap coming in for that. The White House
on February on the twenty eighth. Here the discussions intended
(34:21):
to solidify the US support for Ukraine and finalize a
mineral deal. Let's talk about that deal first. So now
we've given well, we've given aid to a Ukraine. Let's
put it in that context, because yes, they did send
cash a lot to keep up just kind of maintaining
(34:44):
the government in an incredibly stressful situation where they didn't
have the admin to continue to keep it. I mean,
just like we've seen in our own country before the
Constitution showed up, we did not survive very well for
the articles of the Confederacy, and we needed to have
some sort of admin that was in it. The other
thing that we have also given is we've also given
(35:06):
weapons in the weapons in the form of our old stuff.
Speaker 2 (35:12):
We take we weren't even exactly.
Speaker 1 (35:14):
And then we paid money to get more places, building
more of Lockheed Martin. Which is why Lindsey Graham and
also Fetterman are also two people that are really big
warhawks because they their states get a lot of federal
grants for those things. So Elliott, I want to talk
(35:36):
about the quid pro quo or the let's say, the
deal or the exchange or the hey, we gave you
this stuff, so now you're going to give us half
a trillion dollars in minerals at this point, is this
is the I hate to put it like this, but
is this the future that we're going to see with
(35:57):
our allies like Greenland and Canada and some of these
other places that it's more about a not necessarily a
scratch my back, your back. It's the extortion almost where
we moved away from the being the protector to the protector.
(36:17):
It's a real nice shop. You got here to be
real bad if something bad happened to it.
Speaker 2 (36:22):
It sounds but it's sounds okay. Again, this happened in
twenty sixteen. Through that time, it was again Trump saying,
well the NATO, does you know, NATO nations aren't kicking
in enough. They're not doing enough here, enough there, And
you know what, unless they start kicking in enough, we're
not going to do anything. It was like the whole
you know, for nations that pay their fair share, then
(36:44):
will help them. I was like, it was like you
were making the US military, we were contracting it out
for whatever reason, you know, And and that just was
incredibly disturbing in twenty sixteen when it was intimated, when
it's just straight up being said, you know, it is
a quid pro quo. And that's what got Trump impeached
(37:07):
the second time, that, you know, was the whole wall.
You give me this about Joe Biden and then we'll
do this for you. And it's like he in front
of the whole I mean, in front of an entire
press corps. He's telling Vladimir, he's telling vad I'm sorry,
ladimirload of mair Vladimir that that you know, if you're
not if you if you're not going to you know,
(37:28):
if you're not going to you know, pretty much give up.
You don't have anything. And for a guy who's supposed
to be like a great uh negotiator, I mean, he
pretty much put his all his cards. That's the whole
I'm not on your side. You're not gonna get he
said it. You're you have nothing, You have nothing here.
You have to pretty much give up, give up, that's
what you're you know, and without me, you've got nothing.
(37:50):
And they're going where was that negotiating. There was no
negotiation there, and it was pretty much say either give
us what we want or you're getting nothing.
Speaker 1 (37:59):
Cecilia, has our president already picked a side?
Speaker 9 (38:02):
Yes, bye, by having Voladimir Zelensky removed from from the
White House or however that transpired. Technically, the lunch.
Speaker 2 (38:12):
Was sitting.
Speaker 1 (38:14):
Left a lunch on the.
Speaker 2 (38:18):
That's another doge thing they should be going after.
Speaker 9 (38:21):
But at the end of the day, you know what,
I didn't see or hear in any of this. I
didn't see or hear any real strong leadership. I didn't
see or hear any diplomacy, like actual diplomacy, like let's
sit down gentlemen to gentlemen and work this out.
Speaker 1 (38:37):
Was it a measuring contest that p as and.
Speaker 9 (38:40):
If we the United States of America, are the strongest
world leader, then we need to show that in the
leader that we choose to put at the top or
and and when he knows he has that power, under
no circumstance should he be cutting off another. I mean,
keep in mind Voladimir Lensky, not that I'm any particular
fan of his, but he also is leader of his
(39:01):
own sovereignation, and I think that that in itself needs
to be respected. I think there's a mutual level of
understanding and respect that was lacking in that, and I
think that's really disappointing and a terrible, terrible look. And
I think that that was I cannot condemn that enough.
That is not the way a sitting president should ever
speak to another rule of another country.
Speaker 2 (39:22):
I mean, you know what, I'm sure world leaders yell
at each other behind closed the doors.
Speaker 9 (39:27):
Yeah, I'm sure that was hostile and unacceptable.
Speaker 2 (39:31):
Right, you can't do that in front of the press
where the entire world can see it. And also with
a member of Tasks, the Russian news organization in the room.
Speaker 9 (39:42):
It seemed very very I'm motivated.
Speaker 1 (39:46):
Ben been with this, Did it seem like President Trump
wanted President Zelenski to act the same way that President
Trump acts when he is with President Putin.
Speaker 3 (40:02):
Yeah, like I said, doesn't like, I mean.
Speaker 1 (40:04):
You are the you are the higher power and I
am the almost like it almost like wanted him to
take a back seat of like no, no, no, you're
my Trump. Yeah, that's.
Speaker 3 (40:17):
An interesting way to put it because like, of course
they would never see it, like he would never see it,
like no, Obviously, my bias is showing on that there
there wasn't enough open meeting when they went uh and
talked recently with Russia. So I mean that's that answers
to your question.
Speaker 1 (40:33):
Right there, the Sonar's Boxers comes in and says, the
Jerry Springer Show of the Oval Office.
Speaker 3 (40:38):
Absolutely, it's not me. You didn't you know one thing
about that show. It had scripts, it was staged. Things
were supposed to happen at certain times. And that's what
I'm thinking that My major takeaway from that whole thing.
What that clip didn't have in it was how the
real discourse started, which was with JD. Vance coming in
(40:59):
interject to himself a vice president, to where in a
conversation between presidents feels the need to step up and say, hey,
you supported the other party in this country, and opposition party.
You didn't say that you supported the other party. You
don't want us to be here. You're the bad guy
to us. You never wanted to be here in the
(41:20):
first place. You should be thanking us because we won.
We're in charge. The other guys are the bad guys, obviously,
and it's just more pandering to the base.
Speaker 1 (41:29):
That's all they wanted.
Speaker 3 (41:31):
And from there is when you saw it started getting heated.
When Zleinsky came back measuredly and said, you know, we
don't have to start yelling at each other, and then
Trump literally started yelling at him. Yeah he's not yelling,
I'm yelling, and then he let his whole you know,
breakfast club bag on the table.
Speaker 1 (41:50):
Are we starting Are we starting to see the the
post war relationships, post World War II relationship start to
now form pre war relationships. I know it's I know
it's a heavy quest.
Speaker 2 (42:09):
No, it is a heavy question because I was thinking
about this a lot. Okay, but for some folks, I mean,
I know there are a lot of folks who are
out there going, hey, good, you know, we don't need
to give money to Ukraine.
Speaker 1 (42:19):
We don't.
Speaker 2 (42:19):
We have to take care of things at home. We
need to do this, We need to do that. And
if that and and of course you know, Trump is
a separatist and and that's what he believes in. And
he wants America first, blah blah blah. And that's o
case you get, you know, five million dollars and you
want to and you know, illegal aliens. If he has
five million dollars, you can.
Speaker 1 (42:37):
I'm glad you use the word separatist, because he's not
an isolationist. No, he's as a separatist.
Speaker 2 (42:42):
He's a separatist and and and sometimes with a bit
of isolations tendencies, but again it's a it's a it's
a global economy and and and let's be honest, it's
it's it's we're all one big we're all related to
each other. Now, we can't put that genie back in
the bottle. So and Zelensky said, you're here, You've got
this ocean right now. You feel that you're not going
(43:04):
to be affected, but it will in the future. It will.
And with everything that's going on now, Trump is making
some decisions that are seriously going to affect our relationships
with other countries. And here's the thing. Even when Trump
is out of office, the rest of the world is
going to go. I don't know the United States will
they can get a different president, but we don't know
(43:25):
who they're going to elect nex and it's obvious that
they don't have a problem breaking their agreements.
Speaker 1 (43:31):
Yeah, Cecilia, as a young politician coming into this field,
are you going to be stuck with the relationships that
the old guard is leaving you? I mean, I get
a lot of pushback of well, well, I'm just not
going to be here when it comes to the deficit,
(43:52):
or it comes to the country, or it comes to this.
I'm getting a lot of people that I talk to
in the older generation that are just kind of putting
their hands up and going, now, we're it'll be I'm
not going to be here when the when the stuff happens.
Speaker 2 (44:07):
We're leaving you a huge deficity.
Speaker 1 (44:08):
Exactly is is this the battle for the for the huge,
the biggest, the biggest?
Speaker 2 (44:16):
Uh?
Speaker 1 (44:16):
The is this now your burden to take now? Or
do you have to wait until everybody gets out of
the way.
Speaker 9 (44:24):
I've never been one to wait my turn, and I've
never been one to listen when somebody says, wait your turn.
Absolutely not. This one thousand percent is going to be
my burden, and this is a burden that I will
take because this should this. They are leaving a mess
that I'm going to have to clean up and that
hopefully other Goyd's strong conservatives will will take up in
(44:47):
that fight, will take up those bons.
Speaker 2 (44:48):
That's my thing. Where are you guys, they're out there.
Speaker 3 (44:50):
You heard Dutchmen. I mean not to say that. Dutchman
all the time says he dislikes both parties, but you
hear a lot of people that I would have pegged
as conservatives because we're able.
Speaker 9 (45:01):
To see that the way that things are going right
now is not going to be beneficial. It's not going
to be beneficial for the Republican Party, it's not going
to be beneficial for the United States of America, and
it's certainly not going to be beneficial for us on
a world stage in the future. Because, to echo what
Elliott said, absolutely, we're going to be paying the price
(45:22):
for this. And Donald Trump is not, mister President Trump
is not going to be paying the price for this,
but we will, and especially as a young person coming
into politics one thousand percent. I'm going to be footing
the bill for this, and it is a mess I
will gladly clean up because this is never how I
would run things, and I would never speak to somebody
like that. We need to focus on strengthening the relationships
(45:42):
we have with allies through diplomacy and temperate negotiation, but
right now we have none of those things. And it's
really really concerning because the world. What Elliott said again,
the rest of the world is not going to forget this,
and neither will I.
Speaker 1 (45:56):
It's going to be something that we're going to be
living with forever. For as long as I've been around,
it's always been the grandkids. You're leaving this for the grandkids.
The grandkids are great. Hello, I'm the grand kid. I'm
almost forty. Like Hello, I'm the one that you were
all talking about. We've got the commander. He sent in
the new album cover for the fourteen to ten Banana Splitz.
Speaker 9 (46:22):
Oh my gosh, give me those crazy ice commander.
Speaker 1 (46:27):
So we got that on there. From the text line
five five nine, six forty it looked like the crazy
guy from the water Boy. Yeah, we're also look different ways.
Speaker 9 (46:35):
I'm constipated there like it looks scared, which I'm usually
never am.
Speaker 3 (46:41):
You're the lead singer for sure, just looking right into
the camera like right, yeah.
Speaker 1 (46:45):
That's definitely good there for the fourteen to ten banana splits,
right that the ten split for the bowling two because.
Speaker 9 (46:53):
There we might have been called slipping there, but never again.
Speaker 1 (46:57):
That's it. Let's talk a little bit about the rest
of the world. We we necess I mean, I don't
like it of the way that was talked and the
way that that was put out. The rest of the
world is starting to now look back at us. This
is one of the big pet peeves of mine too.
When people start talking about third world countries, it always
(47:19):
refers to back post war. First World was America and
our allies. That was First World post war. This second
World is Russia and their allies. Third World was anybody
who decided not to do that. Switzerland is a third
(47:41):
world country. Please stop using third world inappropriately because you
don't know what you're talking about.
Speaker 9 (47:50):
Developing countries as a.
Speaker 2 (47:53):
Pejorative, right, they're trying to, but it's usually yes, developing, yes,
but it's usually meant as a pejorative.
Speaker 9 (47:58):
Exactly, absolutely for somebody who either didn't decide to get
in or isn't established enough to get to that point.
Speaker 1 (48:06):
And I believe in that at that time, India was
still in that same side. So India's exactly and that's
why they came up with more than just one, two
and third World. But if we were still going to
look through that lens, have we left the first world
country and moved to the second world? Ben?
Speaker 3 (48:26):
I mean, just by matter of fact, that's the direction
it's gone.
Speaker 1 (48:29):
And we're moving towards different allies right now.
Speaker 3 (48:32):
Especially, I think that's what the Again, I can't get
over how it was said as the opposition. You know,
there's two parties. Obviously that's like a word like the
opposition party. But like we talk about campaign politics and
actual being in office and how it should differ, and
(48:53):
that's just it's one of those things where it's like
opposition is like when you're talking when you're talking outside
of America, you know, like who is that? It's it
seems like obviously the right wing is moving to take
us there, whereas the left is, you know, to their detriment.
(49:14):
It just hasn't made the right moves as stagnated in
making it worth it to be the quote unquote third
world first world, which really it is kind of a
weird classification.
Speaker 1 (49:27):
Let me ask both both sides right now, are we
now fans of Russia if we vote for a never
stopped being a fan of Russia? Man, I never stopped? Okay?
Speaker 3 (49:40):
Like I like Russian history. I like how they helped
in World War two a lot, a lot to stop
the Nazis.
Speaker 6 (49:48):
You know.
Speaker 3 (49:49):
I like that they were the first communist nation to
kind of make it makes sense for a little little
amount of time. And they had a revolution to stop
a monarchy, to stop the way it used to be.
It's unfortunate where it's been, and you know, it's one
of those things like we talk about the spectrum of
the political spectrum. When I was in high school, I
(50:11):
found myself in some progressive circles where I was arguing
with a lot of leftists about how, you know, Russia
is actually not kind of like the good guy now.
So there, right, and now you see it on the
right where the big fans of Russia.
Speaker 1 (50:26):
So are we not supposed to be part of the
red scare anymore? Honest? It is really where it is now.
Russia as a people, as a culture, as a country. Sure,
I can find beauty in almost anybody's country for it,
but the leadership that's in there. Are we now marching
towards that alliance?
Speaker 9 (50:47):
Honestly hopefully not. That's really concerning, especially as someone who
understands the history. I may not have been there, but
we've a lot of us have seen this book, We've
seen this movie, We've read the story. We know how
this begins, and we also know how it ends. And
do without what you will. But it's concerning. And I
(51:08):
say that as a traditional conservative, not a maga Republican,
because I never was, but I've always been a traditional conservative.
That means conserving the United States Constitution for what it was,
including the Bill of Rights. And to me, this is
really really disappointing and pretty darn concerning.
Speaker 1 (51:26):
Well, Admiral Elliott Akbar, is it a trap? Is it
a trap?
Speaker 2 (51:32):
You know? It's it's hard to say, Okay, should we
be friends with Russia at the very least of course, Jewel,
because you know, when you have two superpowers or you know,
three superpowers. Now we keep forgetting China and all that,
and especially Russia, where let's be honest, it was even
after the Cold War was over, there were still some
(51:54):
scary stuff that was going on over there, and it
helped us to be more aligned with them than against them,
so that we could know what was going on. But
do we want to be friends with Putin? Do we
want to be aligned with that type of government? Absolutely not.
I mean, you know, it's funny because there was a
time when we did have more moderate folks over there
(52:16):
that we just would not work with, which which is
a shame.
Speaker 1 (52:19):
And I agree with you, Mark Ellis, how can we
possibly take this conversation seriously with a dude wearing a
banana outfit? You're right, and that's why we needed some
of that brevity, because this is an incredibly heavy situation.
Speaker 9 (52:33):
With eternal hope for the future.
Speaker 2 (52:34):
Eternal hope springs the banana of hope.
Speaker 1 (52:37):
