Providing Clinical Counseling to Every Church: Alexandra Thompson, LCSW

Alexandra Thompson, LCSW, is on a mission to integrate clinical counseling centers into every church in America, making "caring for mental health" synonymous with "being the church." She is the founder of Cumberland Counseling Centers, a nonprofit that partners with churches to provide clinical counseling from within the walls of the Church. Alexandra believes that our mental health is the foundation of how we view ourselves and the world around us (including how we relate to God), and therefore providing professional mental health care should be a regular component of church ministry.
