Speaker 1 (00:01):
Greeting Zen welcome to the broadcast. So it would seem
that Donald Trump and his legions of mega loyalists are
attempting to gain control of the mass media by eliminating
those in the media who report negatively or make certain
(00:24):
comments that does not comply with the wishes of their
little regime. One such example is the indefinite cancelation of
the Jimmy Kimmel Show in the wake of comments made
by the talk show host concerning the killing of Charlie Kirk. Additionally,
(00:46):
we have Trump insinuating that he wants the FCC to
revoke the broadcast licenses for those media outlets that put
forth programming that essentially does not agree with the convoluted
MAGA view of the world. As former President Obama pointed
(01:10):
out in a recent posting on x, the current administration
has moved to a new and dangerous level by routinely
threatening regulatory action against media companies unless they muzzle or
fire reporters and commentators it doesn't like. Then we have JD. Vance,
(01:30):
the Vice President, who called for people to actively seek
out those who make what is deemed as disrespectful comments
concerning the death of Charlie Kirk and to report those
individuals to their workplaces so they can be fired from
their jobs. While it goes without saying that some of
(01:51):
those comments were highly inappropriate and uncalled for, it nonetheless
holds true that people in this country still have the
freedom to express such an opinion. You may not like it,
but the right is theirs to express themselves. For the
(02:14):
Vice President of the United States to tell people to
get individuals fired for expressing an opinion is not only
highly disturbing, but it also amounts to harassment and intimidation,
both of which are illegal. Simply put, you cannot intimidate
(02:36):
or restrict those who are exercising their freedoms granted under
the Bill of Rights. It is quite clear here that
Donald Trump and JD. Vance are not familiar with the
rights that are granted to the people of this country.
So could somebody please send them copies of the Bill
of Rights so they can read and study them and
(03:00):
become better informed and educated on the rights and liberties
that we have here in the United States. The freedom
of speech is one of the cornerstones that was laid
down by those individuals who founded this nation. It is
a non negotiable element of our democracy. There should be
(03:24):
no deviance from that whatsoever, and the thought of a
select few individuals regulating what we say and publish is
highly disturbing and cannot be allowed to continue. Of course,
it should come as no surprise considering what this administration
(03:48):
has done and what it has not done since their
time in office. Now, further adding to our government clown show,
we have FBI Director Cash Patel, who recently came under
scrutiny for his handling of the investigation into the Charlie kirkburder.
(04:14):
During his recent questioning in the House, he was also
questioned concerning the assassination attempt on Trump in twenty twenty four.
With that, Patel appeared to suggest that he couldn't release
any information concerning Donald Trump's attempted assassin, Thomas Crooks until
(04:40):
his trial was concluded, even though Crooks was killed at
the scene by the Secret Service. Now, granted, I'm certainly
no legal expert, like I've seated before, I'm just a
dipshit with a podcast, But I don't believe you can
have an trial for a dead guy. That just doesn't
(05:04):
happen for a number of reasons, like bringing the dead
guy in to testify. Okay, just picture that in your
mind for a minute. But considering it wouldn't surprise me
if the wide eyed genius of Patel doesn't try to
convene a trial for John Wilke's booth. Indeed, nobody, but
(05:29):
nobody shall escape the justice of mister Patel. Let me
just interject here that my grandfather served with distinction with
the FBI up until his passing in nineteen sixty five,
and I am sure at this point he is probably
(05:51):
rolling over in his grave at what is going on
with the agency at this point in time. Anyways, if
there's anybody out there who can maybe get mister Patel
a job someplace else, like maybe as a greeter at Walmart,
that might be cool, because he obviously can't handle the
(06:12):
job that he has. Because let's be realistic here, I'm
pretty sure the average ten year old knows that you
can't put a goddamn dead guy on trial. Just saying
for that matter, isn't it about time that Trump advance
(06:35):
both resign and step down. I mean, I'm not sure
who would then be left in charge. I believe it
would be the Speaker of the House in all actuality,
I don't really give a rats ass who was put
in charge, because anything would be better at this point
(06:56):
in time. Realistically, the country could probably be run better
by a deranged one handed mime, and I'd like to
apologize if I've offended any deranged one handed mimes out there.
In a nutshell, Trump is failing miserably as president, and
(07:19):
this is further exemplified by his recent actions following the
murder of Charlie Kirk, where Trump failed to act as
an effective leader. He immediately and incorrectly set out to
blame the left for creating an environment of hate that
(07:42):
encouraged the shooting, and of course that was the entirely
incorrect response. Instead of acting like an executive dunce, he
should have set out to help direct and unify the
American people instead of clausing deeper divis among people who
are already looking for scapegoats and any reason they can
(08:06):
find to go ape shit berserk. The killing of Charlie
Kirk was a tragedy, and Trump completely screwed up when
it came to handling the aftermath that has resulted in
a very tense time across the country. Despite all the
pressing problems which should be demanding his attention instead. Trump
(08:32):
recently went on a rant when he posted on social
media his dislike of the new kickoff rule in the NFL.
Whatever the hell the new kickoff rule is, So, despite
all the issues that need to be addressed, he's focusing
his mindset on some new rule in the fucking NFL.
(08:59):
Who care? I know, I don't you know, let's hear
some thoughts on what you're gonna do about some of
the other problems that we need to take care of.
It was, like one person recently pointed out, actually several
people have pointed this out, that watching the Trump administration
in action is like watching a toddler play with a
(09:20):
loaded gun. That is a very apropos analogy for sure.
So let me kind of bottom line this rant of
mine here by getting back to the issue of the
media being muzzled by Trump and his various brown shirts.
(09:47):
And again, one person or even a small group of
people should not be allowed to determine what the American
people see in here in the media. That that is
not gonna fly. It's gonna fly like a brick with
a pair of wings. If we're gonna take it to
(10:09):
this extent where they're gonna tell us what we're gonna
see and hear. Then your Miles would just appoint a
director of propaganda who outlines the daily communication coming out
of the mass media for the American people to listen
to and enjoy. And they're even going as far as
(10:31):
trying to initiate protocols where nothing negative can be said
about Trump and his administration. Forgive me for laughing, but
if all of this carrying on wasn't so pathetic, it
(10:52):
would actually be quite funny. Do they honestly think that
they can come out and not allow any negative commentary
concerning how Trump runs this country? Because we need the
(11:15):
mass media to help keep the government honest. Remember it
was the media that helped uncover the Watergate scandal and
help reveal it to the world. And to be quite honest,
as completely incompetent as this administration is, it needs to
(11:38):
be watched twenty four to seven. And if you doubt
my thoughts there, let's just put it this way. At
the very least, the media can help keep the FBI
from bringing dead people to trial. That right there makes
the press more than worth its weight in gold. And
(12:01):
the point more or less is that obviously to those
of us Americans who actually can think and have a
deep respect for the freedoms we're supposed to be enjoying
in this country. We all view this administration as a
dictatorship in training. So it's time for those of us
(12:23):
with some common sense to put Trump unnotice that he
is going to be held accountable. He's going to be watched,
all right. We need to put a stop to this
effort to destroy our rights so the Maga cronies can
have their way and make a world that they see
(12:46):
fit according to their own rules and judgments. Basically, the
way I see it, they're trying to turn this country
into an exclusive country club where only certain people are
grant membership and privileges. So let me just say, you know,
(13:08):
stop fucking with our rights, Stop fucking with our liberties.
It's not your place to do that. Don't try and
tell people what they can talk about on the radio
or on TV or print in newspapers. You cannot do that.
Just because somebody such as myself included, I'm as guilty
(13:29):
as anybody makes a negative comment about Trump or the
Trump cronies. It's because I'm seeing a problem with the
way things should be done in this country. And don't
get me wrong, in the past, I have actually defended
Trump on this podcast on a few occasions when I
(13:52):
thought that he was not receiving fair treatment, such as
during some of his criminal proceedings. I pointed that out.
I may not agree with the man, but by the
same token, if I see someone being treated unfairly, I'm
gonna make a point to mention that and bring that
to other people's attention, such as the case with the
(14:14):
recent deployment of National Guard troops to certain cities in
the United States, such as Washington, d C. I don't
like to see the military occupying cities when within this country,
it's a really bad idea, especially when you consider the
pashaw that this government now has for limiting our rights.
(14:35):
But not to sound like a paranoid individual here, but
on a limited basis, it's probably not a bad idea
to have the military help law enforcement in certain cities
where some areas, some neighborhoods are really bad. There's a
lot of crime, a lot of problems, and things are unsafe.
So if it takes a limited military presence to help
(14:58):
the police clean up some of the these areas, and
so be it. Just make sure that the military eventually
leaves town and it doesn't turn into a long term occupation.
To further sum up my quasi delusional rant here, let
(15:19):
me make it quite clear that a lot of people
have fought for this country. A lot of people have
fought and died for this country in various wars and conflicts,
so that we can enjoy certain rights and freedoms of
are granted by the founding fathers to the Constitution and
(15:40):
all that good stuff. Again, those are non negotiables. I
don't know what some of these right wing idiots have
in mind when they make these suggestions about how things
are going to be done, but it is not going
to happen, all right. It's like, you know, me here
(16:05):
on this podcast, I have the right to say almost anything. Obviously,
you can't threaten people. There's certain things you cannot say.
You can't incite riots or whatever. But I'm entitled to
my opinion and I'm gonna keep expressing that opinion. No
one's gonna restrict me from that because of the propaganda
(16:29):
that they want to spread and be heard to further
their case in their position. Now, it's not how it goes.
We just need to be vigilant. Okay, we just need
to be vigilant. We can't go it's a very slippery slope.
There have been a number of people who have come out,
(16:51):
especially in recent days, with some of the commentary that's
gone around, especially concerned the tragic killing of Charlie Kirk.
You know, people are going to express opinions, People are
gonna say stuff that's their rights. You can't stop it
because it doesn't suit you, because that is not how
(17:12):
the country works. Also, you know, when you talk about
various media outlets who are voluntarily taking action against let's say,
Jimmy Kimmel or anyone else for that matter, there's a
quick way to help resolve that, and that's for those
of us to just boycott these media outlets that are
(17:33):
attempting to silence certain individuals. So, if a certain media
outlet is trying to censor somebody for saying something, then
just let these fine folks know that you are not
going to be purchasing goods or services from the advertisers
(17:54):
that run commercials and whatnot on those outlets. Plain and simple,
hit him word hurts right in the wallet. That's usually
the quick way to turn someone's attitude around. Take away
their money and they will pay attention very quickly. So anyways,
when all that being said, and while I still have
(18:14):
my freedom of speech still available, I think it's time
for me to run out the door and sign off
here on this somewhat special edition of the podcast concerning
recent developments in our nation. I'd like to thank you
for taking the time to listen here. If you've yet
to subscribe to this podcast, if you'd like to continue
(18:36):
hearing by verbal rants and delusional thoughts by all means,
feel free to subscribe, because it is free to subscribe.
And well, there's nothing really much that's free anymore. Although
a friend of mine recently said that love is free,
nothing could be further from the truth. Love is not
even close to being free. Okay, So until next time,
(18:58):
take care, have a good day. Remember, don't let anyone
take your rights away as an American citizen. They can't
do that. And so long for now, Bye bye,
