Existing as a tall woman can be difficult at times.

Okay, I’m making it seem like being a tall woman sucks. And truth be told, it DOES suck sometimes, but overall, it is a beautiful experience. Truly. There are so many things to love about being a tall girly.

However, I’m not gonna lie to y’all. There are other features in addition to our height that often play a part in our unique experiences that can negatively affect us. For exam...

Dating as a girly is such a beautiful experience.

Well…it should be a beautiful experience.

Because dating as a woman in 2025 can honestly be a hot mess. So adding height to the mix (like being a tall girly) can definitely make it an even hotter mess. And some of the experiences I’ve heard and/or read literally validate that last point.

I’ve heard many things from their dates lying about their height on dating apps to their dates t...

There are many types of people who have some tension with tall women.

For some reason, that sounds very odd to say, but it’ll make more sense the deeper I get into this episode.

We have the old people who have no problem being shady towards the tall girlies. And if you’re a tall girl listening to this right now, I’m sure an old lady on the street has told you that you’re never gonna find a husband “with that height”. Happens to the...

We’re gonna set the scene for the tall girls.

By the way, this may or may not actually be a true story.

You’re a tall girly in the grocery store, shopping because we all have to eat. A lady approaches you and asks you to reach a can of whatever off a high shelf. Well, a high shelf for her because she’s pretty short. Now, of course, it’s your literal duty as a tall citizen to reach things from high areas for people, so you do it.

You...

If you’re a tall girly, I’m sure you’ve heard the idea that tall women are perceived as masculine.

I mean, there’s nothing new here. We know height equals masculinity in society’s eyes or whatever, leading many people, whether people we know or complete strangers, to kind of act out on this idea by treating us aggressively and even misgendering us.

We all know the gist here. But there’s a bit of a flip side to this, where some tall...

Every single tall girl tuning in right now knows the struggle of finding clothes that fit properly.

We have the clothes that, quite frankly, aren’t long enough. The clothes that are long enough, but the proportions are horrendous (like the only reason the pair of pants is long enough is because the crotch area is down to our knees lol). We also have the brands lying about their clothing being “tall friendly”. Whichever struggle you...

It’s no secret that there are people in a tall woman’s life who can make her insecure, and this can be either growing up, in their adult life, or both stages.

And I think I did a few episodes regarding each group or some of these groups of people. We have our peers, especially growing up, whether it’s our classmates, teammates, or “friends” calling us those weird, annoying names and asking dumb questions like “How’s the weather up t...

Do any other tall girls remember almost always being paired up or grouped with the boys during gym class?

Let me get into this story.

So I was in the 9th or 10th grade, I think? We have different units where we do a different activity for a few weeks, then move on to the next activity for a few weeks, and so forth and so on. So at one point in time, it was the basketball unit. I’m sure you know where I’m going with this…

There wer...

At some point in their lives, whether for a short period of time or for years and years and years, many (if not all) tall girls have felt insecure about their height.

It’s natural. It’s inevitable. Everyone gets insecure at times. And if we lived through similar tall girl experiences, the insecurities are DEFINITELY real.

However, there are people who don’t believe they’re real?? Or let me rephrase it, there are people who believe ...

I wanna provide a little context for the tall girlies before getting into this episode.

I went shoe shopping with a friend a few weeks ago because, you know, a girly had a couple of outings coming up, so I wanted to get some new shoes. Little did I know that that would be a little difficult, but we’ll get into that in a second. We went to Nordstrom Rack and walked past rows and rows of women’s shoes.

We passed by the size 5 section...

Alright tall girlies, picture this.

Hypothetically, you’re single and into men. Oof, we’re already off to a rather interesting start lol.
You’re on this date with a guy, and he’s tall too. Maybe he’s around you’re height; maybe he’s a lot taller than you. Let your imagination run wild lol. This is a first date, by the way.

It’s going great; you’re getting to know each other, cracking jokes, getting flirtatious or whatever, y’all ar...

Every single tall person known to existence has had a complicated relationship with their height.

And speaking from my experience as a tall girly, I know I’ve had quite the tricky relationship with mine.

There were times when I loved being tall. It was the greatest thing ever; it made me feel powerful and unique and beautiful even. And there were times when I was like why did my tall dad and above-average height mom have to make me...

The experiences that tall women go through are honestly…pretty wild.

If you’re a tall girly, you understand 110%. Yes, there are the fashion struggles like jeans hitting mid-calf, long sleeves not reaching your wrists, and not even finding clothes that fit your length. There are also the comments like “oh my gosh, you’re so big” or “are you sure you’re a woman?” and we can’t forget about the aggressive behavior.

Like people will li...

If you’re a tall girl reading this right now, I’m sure you’ve struggled with clothing at some point in your life. Heck, you’re probably even struggling with clothing right now at this moment. Were you just online shopping? And trying to filter through them 32-inch inseam jeans? It’s okay; you don’t have to lie lol. It happens to the best of us.

But yeah, clothing is probably the biggest tall girl problem….ever.

There’s no doubt abo...

***Just a disclaimer: there are a few mentions of people being transphobic and using transphobic comments. Nothing too intense, just explaining a point while these terms are used.

It’s no secret that some people view height as masculinity.

Meaning tall women have often been seen as or called masculine. I’m sure we all know that lowkey. It happens to the best of us. And I’ve talked about it quite often on the pod. But what if some p...

Every tall girl knows the feeling of being the odd one out.

In fact, I’m sure you were the one tall girl among your friends, classmates, teammates, or peers. You’d be a head taller than them to the point where other people would assume that you’re the random older sibling babysitting them. Or maybe that was just me and my situation lol.

Your friends were able to share clothes with each other, but you can’t because your friends’ clo...

I’m sure you know about many of the tall girl stereotypes: masculine, intimidating, athlete, Amazon, etc.

But there’s one that is rarely spoken about, or at least I rarely speak about, and that is strong.
Yes, physically, mentally, and emotionally strong.

Were there any times when someone asked you to help carry something heavy and they said, “Oh, you’re big and strong”? Or when you’re facing struggles, someone may say, “Oh, you ca...

I have a question for you:

When you were younger, do you remember adults making comments about your height?
It can be anything from “oh, you’re so big now!” to “you shouldn’t have given up that sport” to “you’re gonna scare the boys away with that height”. Sometimes, they may be light-hearted in their eyes, while other times, it’s passive-aggressive.

For many tall girls, especially at ages 10, 11, or even 12, the first people to ma...

I wanna set the scene for y’all…

I’m at the gym, on the treadmill, following my own advice and moving my body so I don’t feel the pains of being a tall girl. And so, there’s a glass window in front of the treadmills so when you look through it, you can see outside.

And there’s a store across the street from my gym, so when I look out of this glass window, I can see th...

This is probably one of the biggest struggles tall women face: finding jeans.

And not just any pair of jeans, but jeans that are flattering AND long enough. If you just had flashbacks or cringed or agreed or had any type of reaction to what I just said, I’m sure you understand the struggle.

It’s not uncommon for a tall woman to walk into a store, bright and eager to buy a pair of jeans, pick a few of them off the rack, try them on, ...
