Speaker 1 (00:00):
And welcome back to another edition of ACF four one one,
the official podcast of the Allen County Fair. I'm your
host Russ Decker and joining me, Isaac, Introduce yourself.

Speaker 2 (00:10):
Hi, I'm Isaac Agazino. I live here in Limo, Ohio.
I've been a part of the gomer Go Getters for
about like five years and I am super happy to
be here us.

Speaker 1 (00:22):
So tell me about your project.

Speaker 2 (00:25):
Well, this year I did Beyond Grilling and also You're
an Athlete and I went to state in both like
at the Ohio State Fair.

Speaker 1 (00:36):
So what was like? What was that like being at
the State Fair? Because not everybody gets to experience that.

Speaker 2 (00:41):
No, it's a really really heck of an honor. I
mean just being there, it's a really really golden opportunity.
But when you get an opportunity like that, you take that.
And the first time it was for my You're an
Athlete project, I got an Outstanding of the Day and

(01:03):
got second place in that not the clock trophy though,
but still really really cool that I got Outstanding of
the Day. I've been I've been there like a few times,
but it's still really cool. And then my second time
I got in state with both projects, and that one
was for Beyond the Grilling, and Beyond the Grilling was amazing.

(01:26):
I mean, so here it's a really funny story, Russ.
So we were we were at the state fair. My
whole family was there, mom, dad, my sister, and my
sister also does four h and and she and we
were all there. I did Beyond the Grilling, and I

(01:46):
was like, and we had to take a like a
for my plate tests, which that was not really easy.
It had some kind of difficulty questions. So I tried
to like, you know, like improvise per se. And then
after that they directed me to another place to show

(02:10):
like what I did with my project, and I and
I think that really helped. And then we stay at
the fair all day and then at the end we
were about to leave, but then I said we might
as well stay, and we stayed and I went out standing.

Speaker 1 (02:26):
Of the day, Wow, and even.

Speaker 2 (02:28):
Better, they said, now for our clock trophy winner, Isaac Agasino.
I went, wait, what are you kidding me? I won
the clock Trophy. I couldn't believe it. It was really really
it was a really great honor, and sadly I don't
have it with me, but it's a really really great

(02:49):
honor winning the Clock Trophy.

Speaker 1 (02:51):
So describe your project to me, I mean, what did
you do and how did you? I mean, describe the project?
What was it for.

Speaker 2 (02:58):
You're an athlete? It was like working out, like getting better,
like eating healthier, getting better at sports, golf, baseball, like
all the sports that I do and I also do.
And then for beyond the grilling, that's a you know,

(03:19):
that's another funny story because before that, there's it's a
two part project. We took the second part, second part
of the project. We didn't do the first year. We
only did the second year, and somehow I was just
too good for the first project. I won the Clock
Trophy with the second. But for beyond the grilling, it

(03:41):
was mostly like grilling out for your family, your friends
and all that great.

Speaker 1 (03:45):
So what did you learn in your so the grilling
out the kind of gets me. So what did you
learn that you didn't know before you did the project?

Speaker 2 (03:54):
What I have learned? Like, so they have like all
these like special activities like solar energy, Like I didn't
know that you could like use like you use a
pringle scan per se and you take like a skier
from for like Kebob's and you stick it in there

(04:17):
into the pringlescan you spray paint it and then you
cut an opening and then after that you put like
masking tape over it, like what you use for like
to cover up food with, and then after that you
lay it out there. But it really takes a long time.
So I think the solar energy was pretty interesting for me.

Speaker 1 (04:41):
Yeah, very cool. So so are you in again extra
you or you?

Speaker 2 (04:47):
How old are you?

Speaker 1 (04:47):
I forgot to ask?

Speaker 2 (04:48):
I am fourteen years old, turning fifteen next week. My
birthdays August twenty six and I'm and the day after
that I go back to school. So happy birthday to me.

Speaker 1 (05:01):
Yeah, happy birthday. That's very cool. So are you are
you already thinking about what your project's going to be
for next Year's fair?

Speaker 2 (05:08):
To be honest, I really don't know because they have
all sorts of really cool projects. But we live like
in the neighborhood and we only do we only do
not animals because we don't have a farm or anything,
but we do have but we mostly do gardening, laundry,

(05:31):
like all that basic stuff to learn and know.

Speaker 1 (05:36):
Well, Isaac, you're incredible. This has been a joy talking.

Speaker 2 (05:38):
To you today. Yeah, thanks for us, Thanks for having
me here.

Speaker 1 (05:41):
Sure come back anytime. And we've been visiting with Isaac
and we're here at the Allen County Fair inside the
old milking Parlor. It's now the podcast Parlor, and we'll
be back soon with another edition of a CF for
one one.

Speaker 2 (05:55):
