breeding lands sheep.

My breeding were second and fourth in their class.

I won both of my divisions with my market lambs.

You did, congratulations, thank you?

Speaker 3 (01:07):
And I was seventh overall.

Speaker 1 (01:09):
Seventh overall yep in your very first year. Yes, So
do you want to be a sheep farmer when you
grow up?

Speaker 3 (01:16):
Yes?

Speaker 2 (01:16):
You do.

Speaker 1 (01:17):
That's great because we need more sheep farmers.

Speaker 2 (01:20):
Did you know that?

Speaker 3 (01:21):
No?

Speaker 2 (01:21):
Yeah, we do, we do.

Speaker 1 (01:23):

Speaker 3 (01:28):
I go to Delpha Saint John's Delph.

Speaker 2 (01:30):
Of Saint John's. That's a really good school.

Speaker 1 (01:32):
Oh yes, yeah, So what made you get interested in
four h So?

Speaker 3 (01:38):
My mom's us she's a superintendent and so and I
when I started when I was four and I started
sharing with the queen, the fair queen this year and
that's what got me started with it.

Speaker 2 (01:55):
That's really neat.

Speaker 3 (01:57):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:58):
So has anything surprised you in your first fair as
a four cher?

Speaker 3 (02:03):
Yeah? Being grand champion goat showmen.

Speaker 1 (02:07):
That surprised you. Is there a lot of pressure?

Speaker 3 (02:11):
I mean kind of since I've been doing it a
long time, it's not as much pressure as what you
would think.

Speaker 1 (02:20):
Okay, so tell me how much work is It's a project.

Speaker 2 (02:23):
I mean, it's not just something you do for a week.

Speaker 1 (02:25):
It's a project you're doing for a long time, right,
So how much work is it?

Speaker 3 (02:31):
I really spent about four hours out in the barn
a day.

Speaker 2 (02:34):
And what do you do in those four hours?

Speaker 3 (02:37):
I walk them and I just like walk them around
my yard and like set them up while I'm walking them.

Speaker 1 (02:43):
A little okay, and do you have to feed them
and clean them and things like that.

Speaker 3 (02:48):
Yeah, every morning and night. I feed them and redo
their water every morning at night. And then I also
like like I so like I seen their baying like
once a week normally.

Speaker 2 (03:03):
So what do they eat? Do they like spaghetti?

Speaker 3 (03:06):
No?

Speaker 2 (03:06):
No, what do they eat?

Speaker 3 (03:09):
So it's like corn and pellets and all kinds of stuff.

Speaker 2 (03:16):
You don't eat that though, right?

Speaker 3 (03:18):
No?

Speaker 2 (03:18):
No, what's your favorite food?

Speaker 3 (03:22):
Probably chicken off redo.

Speaker 1 (03:24):
Oh, chicken off freido. You made your mom laugh at that.
So when you've been out to the fair, have you
been on the rides?

Speaker 3 (03:35):
Yeah? I went with my friends the other day.

Speaker 2 (03:38):
What was your favorite ride?

Speaker 3 (03:40):
Probably zero Gravity?

Speaker 2 (03:43):
That was pretty neat.

Speaker 1 (03:44):
Yeah. How about fair food? Do you like fair food?

Speaker 3 (03:47):
I love fair food.

Speaker 1 (03:48):
Have you ever had a fried oreo? No? O, Well
you got to try one of those that sometimes. But
what's your favorite fair food?

Speaker 3 (03:57):
Probably French fries with a lot of vinegar.

Speaker 1 (04:01):
Over at Frisks. French fries one over there, Yeah, and.

Speaker 2 (04:05):
You spray them with the vinegar and yeah, good stuff. Huh.

Speaker 3 (04:09):
Yes?

Speaker 2 (04:10):
How many how many of those have you had this week?

Speaker 3 (04:13):
About two of them?

Speaker 1 (04:14):
Two of them? So okay? Yeah, so you could have
that with your chicken, Alfredo. No, no, you can't mix
that up. No, what are you going to do next year?
I assume you're coming back, right.

Speaker 3 (04:27):
Yeah, I think I'm still going to take sheep and goats.

Speaker 1 (04:33):
All right, So you're you're not going to branch out
and maybe pick up a hog or a or a
big steer.

Speaker 2 (04:39):
Or something like that.

Speaker 1 (04:40):
No, too much work. Yes, yeah, and they're pretty big.
Oh yeah, yeah, and those pigs can get mean. I
think the meanest animals out here are pigs and chickens.
Have you Have you been over to see the chickens?

Speaker 3 (04:57):
Not yet?

Speaker 1 (04:58):
Well, if you go over there, put your finger right
in the cage. Now, don't do that because they get
pretty gay. They get pretty mean. Yeah, what's been your
what's been your? I guess the biggest surprise for you
something that happened to you at the fair and you
just totally didn't think that would be the way it is?

Speaker 3 (05:19):
Probably been sevens over all, my lamb.

Speaker 2 (05:23):
Okay?

Speaker 1 (05:24):
And are are all these your family are watching you?

Speaker 2 (05:29):
Just a couple of them?

Speaker 3 (05:31):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (05:31):
Yeah, okay, Well you can wave to them. I want
to wave to them. No, Well, enjoy the rest of
your time at the fair.

Speaker 3 (05:39):
Okay, thank you all

Speaker 1 (05:40):
