Speaker 1 (00:00):
You're listening to a message to go from at church.
We hope this message will light up your day.
Speaker 2 (00:08):
So if you know, registraction resurrection Sunday, the last thing
that Jesus said, all right, it is finished, it is done.
His assignment here on earth is completed. Right, And how
may you know that really starts our beginning of our
life to experience the mouth of God. How many you
(00:30):
understand and know that though when God say it is finished,
it's the start of verse living our life experiencing Him.
Speaker 3 (00:39):
On the daily basis.
Speaker 2 (00:40):
So I would just say this, all right, resisrections resurrection
Sunday is like the grand opening of a new life,
like grand opening of a new shopping mall right, okay,
not the right good illustration, but you understand, okay, the
very first day of a grand opening, with the grand opening,
you had your balloons, you have you know, canivor and.
Speaker 3 (01:03):
Stuff like that.
Speaker 2 (01:04):
But the very next day is really the real opening
where people will come to your place or not, without
the promotion, without the fan fare, without the sound and
the lights. How do you know and understand been there before?
Whereby it is nice to fall to experience the great
opening of anything?
Speaker 3 (01:25):
Right?
Speaker 2 (01:26):
But the real as it tests even in business, is
the next day, and this is the next week after
resurrection Sunday. This is really what it means that it
is finished when Jesus said it is finished, whether or
not we believe that all that he had done and the.
Speaker 3 (01:42):
Cross is sufficient for you and me.
Speaker 2 (01:45):
The challenge for modern day Christianity is that we are
so dependent and so comfortable.
Speaker 3 (01:51):
Right, people fetching us to church.
Speaker 2 (01:55):
Right, you have a transportation to church, right, Ah, major
the oversy are not persecuted.
Speaker 3 (02:04):
I think they're not persecutor.
Speaker 2 (02:05):
Right, you're either a second generation Christian or you could
be a first generation Christian. Right, so no persecution. And
also coming to church was it's not a challenge. I
spoke to a brother one day, and you'll just share
it with me that you know I don't understand.
Speaker 3 (02:22):
He says.
Speaker 2 (02:23):
I'm a first gant Christian in my home. And I
look at some people around church, your second generation Christian,
and they think coming to church, and this is what
they take coming to church almost like a religious duty.
For me, I have to fight my way to come
to church against my parents reached just say don't go
to church. You cannot be found in church. Don't have
(02:45):
anything to do with church. The church is a bad place.
But I want And this boy said, I just want
to come to church. I just really want to worship
God and experience his his love, his presence.
Speaker 3 (02:59):
And he's just saying this it.
Speaker 2 (03:00):
I'm first generation Cristian, and I know how valuable it
is to come to church.
Speaker 3 (03:05):
And they say that.
Speaker 2 (03:05):
I look at my friends around church, and some of
them were like just walking in at let's say, if
the service at night, they be walking at ten o'clock
in the morning and just taking church like like a
religious already a social activity they do on a Sunday here.
Speaker 3 (03:21):
And he said, my heart goes out for people like that.
Speaker 2 (03:24):
And sometimes I get very jealous, he says, because here
I am trying to tell my parents allow me to
come to church early and stuff that, and there I
have my parents, please go to church, and the children's
will say that, yeah, I'll just take my own time.
Yeah you know, I let me enjoy my breakfast first. Yeah,
you know, my Zeo's coffee or that hasn't come yet,
(03:46):
So wait, Jesus can wait for a while, because you know,
what's life without coffee? Right, So so when Jesus say
it is finish, friends, So it's our starting point. Amen.
Speaker 3 (03:56):
Everyone says studying point. Amen. I love them voices all.
Speaker 2 (04:00):
Right, So it is it is our studying point of living. Amen.
It is our studying point of living. So if you
have your Bible with you right now, would you turn
with me to X chapter three X chapter three. The
title of my message this morning is what do you have?
Speaker 3 (04:21):
What do you have? Friends?
Speaker 2 (04:23):
I'm not here again after your money. I'm not here
after your talents or your treasure. Okay, I want to
go something deeper, because what do you have? The phrase
comes from X chapter three. So except the three worse one.
Now bitter and John went up together to the temper
at the hour of prayer, the ninth hour. Worse one
says that bitter and John when to the temple at
(04:46):
three pm in the afternoon.
Speaker 3 (04:48):
What are the amazing site? Friends?
Speaker 2 (04:51):
Going to church at three pm? Because if if if
our natural habit tells us correctly, cheapm is the best
time to sleep, as most of us here will do
after church service, after lunch, no matter what it is, okay,
whatever you eat, had too something. There is this spirit
(05:14):
of sleepiness who come into our body on you'll gravitate
towards your sofar, your bait, or even your car. Right
your eyes will become very heavy. The last thing you
want to do is to pray and seek the Lord.
Speaker 3 (05:29):
Amen.
Speaker 2 (05:30):
You just and you want to be. You want to
be like the ship to rest in his presence. But
here the Bible says, Peter enjoyment to the temp at
chreepm right now. Worse two, a certain man lame from
his mother's womb, was carried whom.
Speaker 3 (05:45):
They laid daily at the gate of the temper.
Speaker 2 (05:50):
This is the next character that comes into this play
right now, a person that was lame since birth. Now
I want you to imagine, since young, this person was
being carried to the temper on the daily basis. Friends,
it's not fun when you're immobile, or when you when
(06:10):
when you when you're so used to a particular action
and you don't have the action anymore. Right so, some
with me or may not no past of founding in
the PASTA is recovering right now.
Speaker 3 (06:22):
In his home he.
Speaker 2 (06:23):
Had a h h heue injury. I would say his
tender was very tight, his tended lit teno was very tight,
and he was playing pickaball with our church partners in Singapore,
and I think you know, when you're young, friends, you
don't really warm up. Your warm up is you know,
(06:44):
by taking off putting on your shoes is warm up
for you already. But for slightly older people, we need
to warm up a bit longer.
Speaker 3 (06:51):
Longer. It means minimum half an hour. Right.
Speaker 2 (06:55):
So they did a couple of strokes and there's one
more for them, really, right, And they suddenly play very
competitively competitively, and one guy decided decided, I'm playing again
my family senior past I wanted to see whether better
than him or not, decided to do a drop shot.
(07:16):
Drop shot mean, see that hit the ball closer to
the net and passed it. Try to pass up. I
just want to let you know his batgirl was that he.
Speaker 3 (07:23):
Is a he he he is a very good tennis player,
much younger that the time.
Speaker 2 (07:28):
He used to run in track and field, and he
traded almost on a daily basis tennis for two three
hours under the hot sun. So sports is not an
alien thing to pass. Okay, sports the alien thing to me,
my right uh anyway, so passes try to reach reash
for the shot. The shot of what happened was as
(07:49):
he tried to reach it, he hit a loud snap,
like the chair fell down on the floor like that,
that's loud snap.
Speaker 3 (07:57):
And that he knew there was any chair that he
has to be slaked.
Speaker 2 (08:02):
And what happened was that the hill board sort of
crack into two, crack into two basically once one went
up the right and immediately he has to be wheeled
into the hospital and the surgery needs to be done
almost immediately. Uh, they had to put three schools into
(08:24):
the bonde right just for it to heal properly, permanent
scowls and passer. Still in the midst of everything, right
all that, you know said, it's painful, in the midst
of all this happening past, you say, well, my senior
got three nels, I got three screws. About there about that.
My savior, Lord Jesus Chris had three news at the cross.
(08:46):
I got three neils at my heel. So technically I'm
becoming more like Christ. Look at while you can find
humans in this in this toughest situation, but from from
a moment where you could walk one day the very
(09:08):
next day, right now you're down with one leake for
a while, for a season, and the recovery with about
about two to three months like that. So I told
the past I don't think you could fly back, though,
we'll come down to get you. So me and my
wife went from Singapore pick up Pastor from the hospital
and drove him back. So it starts a long recovery
(09:32):
that the recovery process right got back to his home. Now,
hopping on one leg on the staircase.
Speaker 3 (09:44):
Is no fun. I want you to imagine that.
Speaker 2 (09:48):
So past tried hopping one leg up the staircase very hard.
You could get the first step correct, but he lets
you look up the stairs like there's a lot of steps.
Hop you can hop up, but hopping down this the
next thing. Right, So anyway decided to sit down on
every step and lift up himself one by one up
(10:11):
the steps. So what do you.
Speaker 3 (10:13):
Imagine right now? Verse two?
Speaker 2 (10:15):
The Bible says that a man that was crippled at
bird being carried. Right, you come to a place whereby
you're so dependent on people carrying you so that your
needs can be met. So without the people carrying you friends,
the needs you'll never be met.
Speaker 3 (10:34):
I got a point. I'm going to get to it afterwards.
But what do you imagine this.
Speaker 2 (10:37):
Creeper person because as I read this scripture, I thought
about pastor having.
Speaker 3 (10:43):
Going up the steps.
Speaker 2 (10:44):
So I've had the privilege of taking Passes to the
hospital a couple of times for him to come down
the steps. Last time used to be about a minute.
Now it takes about fifteen minutes to come down the
steps and to carry pass into the car, wheelchair and.
Speaker 3 (10:58):
Stuff like that.
Speaker 2 (11:00):
SOA is recovering when so he removes his teachers and
right now is a process of just physiotherapy and stuff
like that. But as I was sharing this, his good lick,
the link that he could lean on depend on, became inflame. Right,
So imagine right now, friends, one link is recovering the
(11:23):
links in flame. You're literally almost like bit reading for
a while for the very moment. If ever been tied
to the bait for a season and for a time, friends,
you and I would know the last thing you want
to do is go to the toilet.
Speaker 3 (11:45):
So if you try to imagine it, I to this.
Speaker 2 (11:48):
I know how it feels because when I was in
the ICU, the nursey don't need to go to the toilet.
All you need to do right now is just peeing.
Bit and we'll clean for you. Just do everything the
mattress and we'll clean up for you. I look at
the nurse. I'll spare you. I'll hold it in and
(12:08):
health it in for the longest time, because say, for
me to go to the toilet is so painful, It
is so painful to help and something you've been this
injury before. You understand I'm describing this to you and
stuff like that, friends, just to just to paint the
picture of Worse two, because man, creeper by birth, Friends,
you're immobile.
Speaker 3 (12:27):
It's not a verse here. Friends, you understand what it means.
Speaker 2 (12:31):
You wish you could do something, but you can't, and
you're very dependent on someone else to help you. Because
without the help, friends, this creeper man in Worse two
will not get his needs being met. Now come Worse three.
Now seeing Peter John, all right, I'm sure this cripper
man saw so many people going in and out of temper,
(12:52):
and every person that goes in and out of the
temper is a potential for his needs to be met.
Come on, every person that goes in our temper is
a potential for his needs to be met. It's almost
like someone they tell me for elder. Any single person
to come to church is my potential. Okay, Only Nick
(13:17):
is laughing because he understands almost every single person that
coming into church is my potential elder. So I'm keeping
my heart open. This is okay, you knowing.
Speaker 3 (13:31):
No trust to have the problem.
Speaker 2 (13:32):
Okay, I know other church blank God, all right, praise hallelujah,
beayful for and multiplier right verse four, come on, fixing
his eyes on him, bitter and with with John and Peter,
say look at us. So verse five he gave his attention,
come on, expecting to receive something from them.
Speaker 3 (13:49):
You know this is this this, this is the thing.
Speaker 2 (13:51):
I want to just point out to us, a situation
whereby you can come to a place whereby you look
at Peter and John or in our lives as a
place where by I can find my needs to be met.
And that's why sometimes isn't it true that we find
our life frustrating because our needs are not being met
(14:13):
by other people. I'm dependent on you for my happiness,
so you must meet a need.
Speaker 3 (14:19):
I'm dependent on.
Speaker 2 (14:20):
You for my security, so you have to be there.
If you're not there, I cannot do anything. And this
is a situation. I wanted to be drawn into the
story because comes worth six.
Speaker 3 (14:30):
And this is the thing.
Speaker 2 (14:31):
And Peter said, still and go, I do not have
I want you to imagine right now. Okay, here's a
cripper man hoping to receive money, right and first thing
that bitter and John said to this cripper man money
I don't have. Right, if you were the creeper person, right,
(14:52):
wouldn't you just turn off radio? Okay, I'll go out
to the Mexican because as he is talking to Peter
and John friends, I'm sure that other people going to
the temper and sometimes us as well.
Speaker 3 (15:03):
Okay.
Speaker 2 (15:03):
The moment you find that I'm not connecting my attention
right now is being shifted our eyes, a corner of
eyes looking at someone else. Hey, this is by other potential.
And this is what Peter said. But what I do have,
Come on, church, repeat after me.
Speaker 3 (15:24):
What I do have I give to you?
Speaker 2 (15:28):
Come on, what I do have I give to you.
See many times in our life God wants to remind
us that you have something. In the name of Jesus
Christ of Naza's Rise Up and Walk Verse severa said
that he took it by the right hand.
Speaker 3 (15:43):
Lifted him up.
Speaker 2 (15:44):
Immediately his feet anchor bones received strength. So he leaping
stood up what entered the temper with them walking, leaping
and praising God. And all people saw him walking and
praising God. Friends, when you encounter God power, there must
(16:10):
be a change in your life. The change doesn't come
from wearing a cross on your neck or wearing.
Speaker 3 (16:20):
The Christian T shirt.
Speaker 2 (16:22):
There has to be a change whereby your walk is different.
Many times in our life, when we go to life
and when you begin to be in church for the
longest time, there is no change, There is no transformation,
and you come to a place after a while, words
(16:43):
of the Bible becomes like any other book that you read,
and God on it has to go deeper because there
must be a physical change in our life. The way
we speak, the way we treat other people. There has
to be the change. Now, let me try to go
to point one. Point one. This is that don't go
to the temple alone. Yes, do not go to the
(17:06):
temple alone. Don't come to church alone. Don't exist in
the church alone. You need someone else. You need another
brother or sister in your life. Because many times now
journey our life, friends, we think that we can be
alone ranger, which means to say that I just come,
(17:28):
I just go. I don't need to interact. And what happens,
something happened to nobody knows, right, we're not accountable to anyone.
So the Christian faith is not the invert looking faith.
Speaker 3 (17:45):
Amen. The Christian faith is not the inward looking faith.
Speaker 2 (17:52):
We need John's or a pitter in our life. Many
times we say this to be bird, It's okay, my
niece are all mad.
Speaker 3 (18:03):
I don't need anybody to speak to my life.
Speaker 2 (18:06):
But the Bible says, okay, when two or three are
gathered together, I'll be there. Come on, who's your two
in your life? You're just praying all by yourself? Come on.
The scripture we always like to use doing a wedding message,
(18:28):
two is better than wow. All those one thing to
get married or married, understand that two is better than one. Right,
And this is the thing.
Speaker 3 (18:41):
Friends.
Speaker 2 (18:42):
Many times in our life, when one is down, when
one is discouraged, when one is felt so alert, so abandoned,
you have another one to encourage you.
Speaker 3 (18:55):
But the modern day.
Speaker 2 (18:58):
Sometimes isolates, which means to say that we can come
to a place where by we allow people to isolate
by themselves, which is not healthy. All all of us
been through isolation during COVID. We know what it meanstake
all by yourself in our own room. The only thing
we have was zoom. We were made for human connection
(19:19):
and human touch point. We weren't wired to be alone friends.
No matter how challenging you think making friends. You and
I need to learn how to make friends in our life.
For us to have a job or peter in our lives.
We need to unpack. Everyone say unpacked. You need to
unpack your life in the church. Many times I've found
(19:44):
that people who say I don't have a community in church,
if you do, ask themselves honestly, have you unpacked? Have
you decided to make this place your home? Have you
decided to accept no matter the good and the bad
of a place, every family got good one and also
got some rusty baits. Every family got some perfect thing,
(20:06):
and every family has the imperfection. So it's not rather
or not it is the perfect place, but it's the
place where God wants you to be for this season
of your life. And we have to unpack say that
this is my church, this is my place, this is
my hopes, and these are my leaders.
Speaker 3 (20:28):
This is Chiras right. We have to unpack. Friends.
Speaker 2 (20:37):
If you don't unpack, you're just living in a hotel.
And the one thing the most challengeable living in a
hotel is living out from a suitcase. Some rooms are
very small and all you have is this tiny way
sufficient for your suitcase to be at. We need to
(21:00):
unpact because to have similar values and goals and desire
to serve and to grow our faith, you need each
other to have similar values, goals and desire to serve
and to grow in God. We need each other. Bitter
and John went to the temple at cheap PM in
the afternoon. I want you to imagine right now, if
(21:22):
one person was tired, the other person said, Hey, this
prior service right now at CHEAPM. Remember we say that
we are committed to go to the church service at CHEAPM.
In your life right now? Is there bitter and John
(21:42):
in your life?
Speaker 3 (21:43):
Right now?
Speaker 2 (21:43):
Friends, is there bitter and John whereby you will find
friends that people will encourage you. Come on, Gloria, don't
give up yet. There is still hope for tru Us
right in your life. Do you have a bitter enjoyment?
Encourage you? Come on Tonight's your service.
Speaker 3 (22:02):
In your life? Right now?
Speaker 2 (22:04):
Do you have a bit there and enjoyed that tells
you trust in God? And many times in our lives
we say that it's okay, I think I can manage
life on my own. Yes, I do believe we can,
and I do believe you are very capable. But I
still do believe that we are also staff of encouragement.
(22:25):
We're also staff of affirmation by other people as well.
That's why Asians friend when someone affirm you, sometimes we cry,
we do you see all the realities of My favorite
is Master Chef of Australia and during the time whereby
they do the interview of all the contestant and typical
(22:45):
Malaysian former Malaysia who migrated there, right, I say, what
are you doing right now? I'm doing It's always finance
or engineering. It's always finance or engineering. I say, why
are you doing finance? You got lots of recipe to
be shared with the rest of the world. Why are
you hiding your talent behind the computer? My parents asked
(23:10):
me to do finance, but you're beyond finance. You are
a chef in making. With those words, I could see
every contestant cry staff of affirmation. Friends, I've been to
Australia before. I love Australia and wanted to migrate there
(23:33):
until God opened my eyes to say that, no, Malaysia
is better.
Speaker 3 (23:36):
It's true.
Speaker 2 (23:38):
There's no place with free Wi Fi and Malaysia in
every mama shop. All right, seriously, anyway, we can get
a lot of things done over here. Over there, you apply.
I have to apply for a lot of permits and waiting.
That's beside the point. The point here is this, I've
been there before. I love the place. You know, nice
(24:00):
whether whichever picture you think the sky is really blue
hours it's like off blue, all right. But yet at
the same time, at the same time, I remember going
there and the passes are very good over there, and you
know they put their arms around you, and you know
they love.
Speaker 3 (24:19):
To encourage you. They're very good encourage you.
Speaker 2 (24:21):
They put my arms around me one time, say you say,
can you you are a legend because all the time
strength growing up friends, or just was You're not good enough.
You're just to pay you know, do better while you
only get ninety four or one hungred you know, got
six more marks or cheap perfection, right, stuff for affirmation
(24:43):
and sometimes in our life friends, although we can do
things alone, we need the John in our life or
the pitter in our life. They say, well done, keep
it up right. Only people with the same values and
goals and motive. We'll go to the temper at three
pm in the afternoon. Come on, only people with the
(25:06):
same values. Very important when you find a life partner.
Find a partner with same values, right. Many times they
just filter people with looks first value second. Only much
later discover their values is very much as important as looks.
Speaker 3 (25:30):
Values that will encourage you to lift you up.
Speaker 2 (25:33):
That's why the Bible says two is better than one,
because when one decided to be tired, be lazy, the
other one lift him up.
Speaker 3 (25:42):
Bible has such a nice one lift him up? Do they?
Speaker 2 (25:45):
Modern day context is if the husband is lazy, the
wife just kicking off the bait, right, Only people who
have same values and goals and motivation. We go to
the temper at trepm in the afternoon. How do we
would come to a place whereby they share the same
values and goals? Come on, you say, I mean church
right now, But I don't see people of the same
(26:07):
value as me. There are one friends, if you only
open your eyes. When I first came to church, my
friend brought me to church, and I accept the Christ.
And no he follows his parents to church. He goes
to church and on the Saturday to you fellowship, and
so I follow him. On a Sunday morning, he goes
to church about he lived his house about six fifteen
(26:30):
in the morning, six fifteen in the morning to get
to church. The serf church at studying to serve church
at six forty five, the services at seven thirty. And
I got no choice to follow him. There are days
whereby his house is about two kilometers away, so I live.
(26:52):
I have to wake up and fall something in the
morning to walk to his house for almost about half.
Speaker 3 (26:57):
An hour.
Speaker 2 (26:59):
To get because I don't want him to come to
always come to my house to pick me up.
Speaker 3 (27:02):
So I walk this house.
Speaker 2 (27:04):
How do you get the place whereby you have people
of the same values and goals. I want to let
you know a key word. The word is discipleship. The
word is disciple ship, friends and afterward for me, going
to church early in the morning is not a stretch
concept anymore. I know people are some of you are
challenging the morning.
Speaker 3 (27:23):
Friends.
Speaker 2 (27:24):
But for me, going to church and serving for two
services is not not a problem. We use in our
early days of our church, we used to run full
service on a Sunday, four on a Sunday, as early
as eight am in the morning, all the way until
the last service we finished about six thirty in the
evening or seven in the evening. Been there, done that before?
(27:48):
Don't they visit them anytime soon? But friends the key word.
How do you get people come to the same place
as discipleship When you allow God to disciple you, when
you allow your friends to disciple your leader disciple your friends.
It pushed you to another level of understanding that I
need to get out from my comfort zone. That's why
I started off with the first point. Don't go to
(28:11):
the temper alone, don't go to the temple alone, don't
go to work alone, don't go do life alone. Friends,
because we weren't made for that. Even the richest person
on earth requires someone and encourage you. I was texting
(28:31):
someone I know that you know who's not well. Quite
well to do you just got to know him about
a couple of years ago. We became friends. He say, ken,
I'm not well. I said, I lost. He said, I
lost fifteen kg. And he's an unbeliever, and I just
say he's a title. I say, you know, sir, I
(28:52):
want to encourage you. The church is praying for you.
We are praying for you, believing God will intervened your life.
But hang on to it. You know you're a strong man.
They appreciate it. Thank you so much. I want to
let you know our people around us. If you open
eyes and see people around us, that we could encourage.
So don't do life alone. The second point, it says
that the temper is not just a place for all
(29:15):
needs to be met. Come on, the temper is not
just a place for all needs to be met. Many
people and many communities like to go to church so
that my needs could be met, and we after a while,
we begin to choose of the place of worship as
(29:37):
a place whereby my needs to be met. And if
the place of worship don't meet my needs, don't meet
my physical needs, don't meet my needs, I will gravitate
to somewhere else where my needs can be met. So
the temple is not just a place where it needs
to be met, but it's also how come on, how
(29:59):
we can meet the needs of the temper. The creeper
man was from birth was being carried to the Temper
on a daily basis so his needs can be met.
It seemed acceptable, friends, After all, he's a creeper man.
After this, he couldn't do anything, so it's understandable for
(30:21):
people to carry him. So it's understandable for him to
ask for money, to be even compassionate, to be served
because of his situation. But here's the thing, friends, of
all places is the temper. For as, the Temper is
not just a place of worship, but it's just a
(30:42):
place of faith. Come on, and many times, if you're
going to continue allow the conditions of our life. The
more we allow the conditions of our life to condition us,
to condition our mind, the more we move from faith
(31:03):
to facts to knowledge. What do I mean by that?
I have to remind the leaders recently, in the recent
leaders retreat that we just had last a week that
as a church, don't ever forget we are also a
place or whether in the business of the supernatural. We
(31:28):
are in the business of supernatural. What do I mean
by the business in the business of supernatural? There are
takes in your life which are supernatural friends, which you
and I need to be aware of. When Jesus said
it is finished, friends, is not the end of a
particular project, but it's a start of the resurrection power
(31:50):
that's living in us. We don't see a lot in
this modern day church. But you know, if you were
to move out from the Earth's city and move out
into different uh community, friends, you begin to realize how
real God is. I share this you before I go
and share with you again. We know of people in
(32:13):
our church where by family members was tormented by evil spirit.
Speaker 3 (32:17):
Evil spirit.
Speaker 2 (32:19):
So such that the person say, my son has six
spirit within him. If you are the pastor, if you're
the leader, of what you do, if someone comes to
you say that my relative here is possessed by evil spirit.
I think that evil. I think the Bible?
Speaker 3 (32:39):
What would you do? Friends?
Speaker 2 (32:40):
Never forget that we are in the spiritual business. Never forget, friends,
this how God moves. Then, in the name of Jesus,
every niche about, every time shall confess that he is Lord,
that he is God right. So the family try everything,
try everything with temper, including considering going to bring the
(33:03):
sun overseas to a temper in Thailand to exercise the demon.
The price of the quotation for exocism, does someone let
you know, it's about ten thousand ringing for a spirit,
ten thousand ringing for spirit, depending if it's a stronger one,
a bit more work, you truge.
Speaker 3 (33:22):
A bit more. And when as.
Speaker 2 (33:27):
We begin to hurt it and a few always seed that, wow,
the church is doing it for fear. We are cussing
on people. We're cussing. Sorry, we will love as this situation.
But more more than that, we were just saying that
there is hope in the church. There is hope in
the church, and many times after we forget what it
(33:50):
means that the temper is also a place of faith.
As pastors begin to remove the teachers from his surgery,
after you room the teachers to start the physio, okay,
we're going to start the physio. Then he looked at
me and says, say, who knows after I take out
the teachers, except will come to play whereby I can
(34:13):
stand up praise God, liping and walking and praising God.
Then look at past and they say, oh yeah, thank
you so much. Possa for the reminder, because it's so
easy go with the natural progression, remove the seaches going
to physio. This is what you do. This is the
next step. But when God interviews and God moves, friends,
(34:33):
you and I, we never know. We need to give
room for him. And many times in our life we
don't give room. So the temper is a place of faith.
Come on, but we have allowed different challenges in our
life for us to switch our legs. Come on to
be a place of faith. This is a place of knowledge,
a place whereby our mind is full of our hearts
(34:55):
is so empty, our spirit is so empty. Friends, there's
danger sometimes when we begin to feed and we don't
begin to exercise by faith. Friends, Faith is not just
about giving money. Friends, there's one level of faith. Faith
is also about when people are not well, and we
just pray for people, you know, and then we need
(35:17):
to come to this place whereere we believe God can
move powerful mightily to our prayers as well. Amen, don't
forget that we are in a spiritual business. Second Corinthians
ten worse Tree to five, for we do not for
though we walk in the flesh, we do not walk
according to the flesh. The Bible says Second Corinthians ten
worse Tree says, although we walk in the well in
(35:40):
the flesh. We do not walk according to the flesh. So,
in other words, friends, the better is not in the
flesh something it is spiritual, it is it is worse. Four.
For the weapons of our warfare are not corn, are
not physical, but mighty in God. In pulling down strongholds,
(36:05):
come on pulling down what in pulling down strongholds? And
many times in our lives, friends, we have weapons, but
we don't use. We have prayer, but we don't pray.
We can seek God, but we don't. And this morning
God wants to remind us again, friends, what it means
for ex. Chapter three to come to play whereby we
(36:27):
have become to a situation whereby God you take over
Verse five, casting down arguments and everything that exhausts itself
against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity
of the obedience of Christ. The Bible says that we
(36:47):
have weapons in our warfare that's able to cast down arguments.
In other words, next time you find a place where
by you're constantly in argument with people that you don't
really understand, let's pray. Pray God, you intervene. God, you
intervene in our church. Friends who have experienced many times
(37:08):
where by situation we don't understand, but we just sussort
the lad and we pray, and God, you give clarity
in this situation right now, because everything seeks its own glory,
and the Bible here says everything, every high thing that
exhorts itself against the knowledge of God. First, if you've
ever been tempted friends to do things against God, against.
Speaker 3 (37:32):
His word, say this.
Speaker 2 (37:35):
I have the power within me, given by God to
pull down every strongholst right now, every thought in my mind.
They can be brought under captivity. It's very easy, very tempting.
Friends to go by needs, go by needs. My needs
(37:57):
are not mad. Therefore this churche is not carring. Right,
my niece are not mad. Past the glory is not
a good pasta. My niece is not mad. The leaders
are not good. My niece is not mad. Homes is
not help helping my niece is not mad. Listress is
not good.
Speaker 3 (38:13):
Everything else.
Speaker 2 (38:16):
It's us, me, me and me.
Speaker 3 (38:21):
And God.
Speaker 2 (38:21):
This morning wants to encourage us, wants to encourage you
that friends is beyond your needs. Right now, this is
what do you have Because this is what Peter said
to the creeper back Sue and go, I don't have.
And many times in life we want we always try
to meet the physical need first.
Speaker 3 (38:43):
But what I have a gift to you? So what
do you have this morning? Friends?
Speaker 2 (38:50):
That you know is from the Word. So this is
what Peter said. See I go, I don't have, But
why I have a gift to you in the name
of Jesus Christ of nature, Rise up and walk?
Speaker 3 (39:01):
So what do you have right now? In your life?
Speaker 2 (39:06):
There is a spiritual principer that you're able to pass
down to another generation. What is it in your life
right now? There's a spiriture principle that you live by
that you can pass down to the next generation. A
lot of times and parents or older siblings or other
(39:32):
people pass down why would they have? Which is good,
But we also need to pass down spiritual principles that
we have because ultimately, friends, I want to let you
know the fundamentals still works. Let me explain to you
reason why EXTRAS is growing this week by growing smaller.
(39:53):
One of the key reasons is this that after a
while we found that as a church we were meeting
a place of a thousand plus people. Fantast say, we
love the big atmosphere, the big sound, the worship right
the time when we were about thousand plus people. We
hardly need to speak at all one, hardly need to chair,
(40:13):
hardly need to be on the band as well, hardly
need to serve because everything else is taken care. I mean,
we can, but only maybe once a month. Then after
a while while we found out it's not healthy because
we weren't creating an opportunity and the space for people
to exercise their faith. Because it can't be the preacher,
(40:34):
or rather the pastor or the founding past only have
the word.
Speaker 3 (40:40):
Pass Gloria has.
Speaker 2 (40:41):
A word, and another other creature that takes the stage
has a word. It can't be just because that she
looked youngish, very young. They should have life experience enough
to impart the word. So God spoke to us that
(41:02):
I want you right now to break your churches into
a smaller place, because.
Speaker 3 (41:05):
Then everybody get to serve.
Speaker 2 (41:07):
Everybody gets to serve God, everybody gets to know what
it means to pray for someone else. So not right
now when we say turn to someone else to pray
for someone else, friends, it's no longer people just look
up in the sky, look down and come on in
this position, wary by. Don't touch me, don't don't talk
to me. Right, But in a small chest like this,
you got no choice that people say, can I pray
(41:29):
for you?
Speaker 3 (41:29):
Go like okay?
Speaker 2 (41:32):
Right in a big churche whereby you can disappear in
the sea of crowd, nobody knows your name, you can.
Speaker 3 (41:38):
You can come in quietly and live quietly.
Speaker 2 (41:42):
That's what the serpentined in the in the garden, slitting
into the garden quietly. I'm not saying churches like that,
but you don't understand. You can come in and God
no one really knows your name. But in a small churche,
the meaning you're not here this Sunday, you may get
a text. I'm sure you get a text. If you
didn't get a text, you'll get a text next week.
(42:02):
You don't come leaders here. Right in a small church,
you get to do all this while I'm sharing all
this with you, because we want to create a portunity
whereby your faith in God, what I have I give
to you in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth.
(42:25):
And many times in your Christian journey, friends, you have
not given yourself an opportunity to exercise that faith. I
wanted you to know that you know there are sick
people in the Subam Church. There also people are not
well in the Trust Church. So don't go existing alone.
(42:48):
The next time you heard some partners in extras not well,
go into by to visit the person. The person allows
you to visit and pray for the person. Pray for
the person, encourage the person. Don't go be like a
person carrying negative report. I just say you know what
your your medical report said, You're going to die. I
will let you know you're going to die. Don't be
(43:12):
like their friends. Be like what I have I give
to you in the name of Jesus Christ.
Speaker 3 (43:17):
Be well.
Speaker 2 (43:19):
See many times you don't even look how simple and
how direct the prayer is. Just let me just show
you to if it's Chapter six, verse twelve, For we
do not wrestle against flesh and blood. Come on, we
do not rest against flesh and blood, but against principalities,
against powers, against the rulers of darkness of this age,
(43:43):
against the spiritual holds of weakedness in the heavenly places.
So the Bible is reminding us again that our enemy
is not the church person city beside you it's spiritual
against the principalities, against the powers of the rulers of
the darkness of this age. Therefore, word certain, take up
(44:06):
the whole armor of God. Come on, Church, you only
take up the whole armor of God if you realize
and you know what warfare you're in. And many times
in our life you think our warfare is I don't
like Tyrrell. Why woul't you say to him? He's just
no responsor? On Jesus dares that you. Right, it's not him, friends,
(44:41):
And sometimes you allow sorry because I know him, right,
I see him every other day in the office, all right.
Because of that we have allowed, we are allowed different
days us right influence us and said this physical person
(45:01):
is an evil person, and God always causes us to
think differently. One friends, I was I asked a question,
how many of you like to be questioned about your beliefs,
about your stands?
Speaker 3 (45:16):
Right? Majority of us here don't like to be questioned
about all stands, isn't it? Why why you do? Why
do you do things this way?
Speaker 2 (45:25):
Why cannot be another way? Why cannot make things be easier?
Don't do announcement in church? For example? Send that an
now so by WhatsApp, you save fifteen minutes, give people
the bank account, then you don't even have to ask
for offering. Then people just come to church for the worship.
And the word cutch up by fifty to twenty minutes
(45:46):
of people's time. Sounds like a fantastic idea, But you
know you cannot run church that Wayma, right, right, leaders,
right right, right, right, well, not fully convinced your past
glory or have a problem right here, I expect your
leaders say amen, hallelujah, elder, but no, okay, okay, ex
I just to go for a fasting and prayer for
forty forty days, all right, skating katy, all right. No
(46:10):
one likes to be questioned about their stairs. But when
you're questions, how do you handle this? People were asking us,
all right, question is our color beliefs? And this is
what pass ship with me? You know, people can ask
you anything and everything about what you stand for. How
come your church plan got no full band, for example,
(46:32):
don't have a full band, You got no drummer, you
got no bassis. You know, electric guitar rays can ask
all these Okay, how come your elders are so young?
Our youngest elder, right, now I think just turn forty
years old.
Speaker 3 (46:52):
Just turned forty years old.
Speaker 2 (46:53):
As idea as the buzz decided to appoint me to
be elder when I was thirty or tray eight, then
I know another church leader toctor Passer about your elder
is so young, he needs to come me elder because
by by ageis I'm his senior. But right now, because
(47:14):
he appointed me to be church elder, I have to
come elder right now, although I'm sixty eight. Come on,
was there any any time when you're questioned about your stands?
Anytime where you're question about your stands? Anytime you're questioned
about your stands, the question either brings you deeper into
(47:34):
your conviction. Come on, you're fully convinced no matter what
question come your way, you will not shake you, or
the question.
Speaker 3 (47:43):
Will come your way.
Speaker 2 (47:46):
Will shake your foundation, and your stands becomes looser and
looser and looser, and after that one day you don't
have a stand anymore. Many times in our journey, we
don't like people questioning us because you know your conviction.
(48:11):
You know your conviction, but when people do question you,
why do you do this way? People did ask us before?
You know, God has given us colors. But why must
you get all your hosts we wear black and orange?
Why black and orange? We say it's recognizable.
Speaker 3 (48:29):
Anywhere.
Speaker 2 (48:31):
Yeah, pink colors are recognizable. But God has never given
us pin, never told us to wear pink our stands?
And why why am I sharing this my heart with you?
Because many times in our life, friends, you look at
God's word. All right, the Bible says, stick up the
whole armor of God to make a stand. We are
(48:58):
not in the process of fighting with other people. God
has allowed other people to question our convictions to make
sure that our commissions go deeper in Christ than anything else.
So we know that every church, every church, every church
has a plan on friends, No one church is the same.
We're not going to say the other church is wrong.
(49:19):
We say God has given that the pattern to their church.
But we need to follow the pattern that God has
given us. Be faithful to the pattern that God has
given us. God has given you pattern for your family.
Be faithful to death. Court has given you a spouse.
Be faithful to death. But many times in our life,
first we say, whoa that one woh nicer color? Wow?
(49:41):
Is trending, trending and therefore past the clove. Maybe we
should follow the trend. No, friends, God has never asked
us to follow trend. Chris has always asked us to
follow him. I want let you to know that. So
(50:02):
our church, one thing that is very clear with our
church is this that Pastor has told us that God
has asked us to have a heart. Have a heart
for the eighty percent of the other church in Malaysia,
which are only thirty people in case of may or
may not know. Friends, our church in Malaysia right now
is not in a very good place because majority of
(50:23):
the senior passes in Malaysia are in the retirement age.
In the retirement age, majority of other churches around outside
of playing value, outside of the big church, are in
the sixties and seventies. And they got no one else
to pass the church too, not because they got no money,
they got no successor. And then this was total. This
(50:49):
was told to us by pass I've been praying and
this is what God said to it. As a church
right now, ex church, we must play our part, must
play our part to encourage to raise up, to see
how we could help. Say, what's the point of having
a big building celebrating our own name where the rest
(51:09):
of the other church in the Kingdom of God is suffering.
What's the point of celebrating an amazing sound system where
the rest of the churches in Malaysia are not doing well.
Speaker 3 (51:24):
I'm sharing my hat.
Speaker 2 (51:25):
Out with you because the Bible says, take up the
whole armor of God. Therefore you're able to withstand the
evil day, the evil difference. Here's the thing about being
about the evil day. If you know it's either you
or what is it?
Speaker 3 (51:36):
Correct?
Speaker 2 (51:38):
Right, you know it's bad for your health, you won't
eat it. But some things are at the borderline good
and you think it's many gibber, fatty pot. Come on,
you know it, well, it's tasty, right. I want to
(52:00):
say it's the healthiest because it's organic, right, organic? But
yet you know, come on, it is not good if
you're in the condition borderline.
Speaker 3 (52:20):
Correct.
Speaker 2 (52:21):
But many times we think either, oh, this must be bad,
and that's why we get so worked without thinking we
see better guys either because you see the word bitter. Really,
the Bible says, don't take anything better in your life.
The flow of the spirit is what joy love pieces.
There's no betterness there. Right, Come on, you said, come on,
(52:42):
I'm having fun with you, all right, It's okay, xtrak
a lot of time on. I'm serious. I won't to
let you know. Last time read the extra Bagan Friens.
I thought I was late. I left you about eleven twenty.
I got there by eleven thirty five. They're still in
the worship. They haven't done thennounce one yet. And I
said there to myself, I can have more time to us.
So this time give them more, give extra small time, right,
(53:04):
so I know I gotta die. Okay, we send even this.
I'm going to this how I'm going to close next
ten minutes. Because if it's evil, you're a white. But
what happened something is very deceptive, correct deceptive, and you
told that. So this can't be evil. This can't be either.
(53:31):
Look look at the last statement that the humans sense.
The Pharisees said to Jesus, if you were the son
of God, if you are the son of God, bring
yourself down from the cross. Whilst we see that you're
able to deliver yourself from the cross, we will worship you.
Speaker 3 (53:49):
We will. This is a religious.
Speaker 2 (53:50):
Teacher say we finally acknowledge that you are the son
of God. Sounds a very good proposition, don't have to die,
and all the religious pharirases we acknowledge, but this is
not God's plans. Come on, why is even because it's
so tempting. You're in the midst of your pain and
(54:13):
someone offer you a way out. If you do this
all right, if we acknowledge it, but you just say
it away from me, it is finished. So pack up
the whole armor of God, friends, and we stand in
the evin day, and having done all stand, make us
stand friends your faith. This is a temple of faith,
(54:37):
not a temple of facts. Not just my needs to
be met, I need to help to meet the needs
of the temple as well. And finally, friends, I'm just
gonna do this.
Speaker 3 (54:47):
So what do you have? What do you have?
Speaker 2 (54:52):
This? Let me try and give this to you. Metal chapter.
It was eight to nine Metal chapter. It was it
to the sent you answer and say, Lord, I am
not worthy that you should come under my roof, But
only speak a word, my servant.
Speaker 3 (55:08):
Will be healed. Verse nine.
Speaker 2 (55:11):
For I also a man under authority, having soldiers under me,
I am a man under authority.
Speaker 3 (55:20):
Friends, I want to encourage you.
Speaker 2 (55:22):
Why Di Peter has such confidence and say what I
do have friends. It comes from a life understanding authority.
Come on, what I do have I give to you
comes from a life understanding authority.
Speaker 3 (55:40):
And here's an example.
Speaker 2 (55:41):
The Roman soldiers said to Jesus, I'm not worthy for
you to come under my roof, But.
Speaker 3 (55:46):
Speak the word. My servant will be healed.
Speaker 2 (55:51):
And the Roman cent you understood the authority of Jesus
when he the spoken word has power to change one's life.
So when you read God's word the Bible says, the
Lord is my shepherd, I shall not be in one
the next semen, you find yourself deterale and having this
anxiety or panic attack, read the scripture and declare yourself,
(56:13):
the Lord is my shepherd. I shall not be in one.
The next seen you have to face your enemy. Although
God prepared the table before my enemy, Surely goodness and
mercy shall follow me. For the rest of my life.
I will not fear. And this is the thing that
(56:34):
God wants us to remember, that what I do have
comes from a life understanding authority of His word over situation.
The ultimate result is this is that alive that's transformed.
You know when the life that's transforms. Very easy, my friends,
other people can see it. I got a text yesterday
(56:55):
from Pastors say, Hey, if you happen to be in
the pharmacies, could you have me to buy some medication
to my regular pharmacies. I pick up my medication for me,
So I went there. I went there, just dropped by there. Hey, uh,
I'm here to do by medication for passa Kennev and
this medication is neat. The first thing that pharmacies asked
(57:15):
me a question, are you his brother? I say, why
are you Pasan's brother? I say why you may similar looks. No,
the way you speak sounded so much like pastor. I
get a bit confused. I understand why. If you ever
talk to a passable before friends, there's a certain way,
that certain face.
Speaker 3 (57:34):
He'll greet people.
Speaker 2 (57:37):
Very genter, very welcoming, very engaging, and some of through
my years I know possible thirty or years, I pick
up the similar habit as well. So alive, there's an authority,
is a life that's transformed. And you know, I'm friends
see many types in our life. Friends, it is hammon
clothes we know of the world, but not necessary. The
(58:01):
word is dwelling in our hearts. That's why in situation. Friends,
we don't declare by faith. We always declare how hard
it is.
Speaker 3 (58:11):
And God this money wants to challenge us.
Speaker 2 (58:12):
Friends, as I close right now, to challenge in the
way we think, in the way we think, in the
way we live our life. Next time, don't say that
you don't have. Don't say that you don't have, but say, God,
you shall provide all my naeds. So therefore I want
to surrender this before you. The declaration of faith to
our lives is so key and so important. When Jesus
(58:33):
saying it is finish, it's not saying he did say die,
he says Finnish.
Speaker 3 (58:39):
Basically, it just means that he achieved.
Speaker 2 (58:42):
What he needs to achieve is for all mankind so
that we could experience the resurrection the power of Christ.
As I close right now, say what do you have
in your hands? Like one more point by I leave it.
Next time, what do you have? What you have right now?
See and go? Many people just think see when go,
(59:04):
it's all that we have, which means to say all
that we have is just make to our hands. But
there are things right now that are supernatural.
Speaker 3 (59:15):
Stee and go.
Speaker 2 (59:15):
I do not have, But what I have I give
to you as I close friends. My encouragement to you
for this week is this. Remember you're in the spiritual
calling of spiritual life. Remember friends, that you're not here
to do life alone. We can pray. As I close friends,
(59:37):
I'm not sure where you are with your journey. I'm
fully convinced of this that the fundamental still works the same,
I want to say, spirit the same desire to start
the church frety five years ago to where we are
at right now.
Speaker 3 (59:57):
It must work. If we grow smaller as thought.
Speaker 2 (01:00:00):
Oh, you must understand the fundamental still works at day
of the day. The temptation here is this is that, oh,
if you do this, then you grow. If you do that,
you grow. No push the word I will draw all men.
(01:00:21):
As I close friends, I want to encourage you. Really,
some of you are amazing, amazing people here. And this
is what I was just telling past a couple of
days ago. As you know, I like to just share
my life journey with all. I was just telling past
this pasta. I think we have another twenty twenty five years,
thirty years not long, but not shot.
Speaker 3 (01:00:44):
My time.
Speaker 2 (01:00:45):
We wish the t would be in our eighties. Really,
I like to take a long term view of things.
We'll be in our eighties and how would it look
like extra extraras or extra combank. And when we are
in our eighties, how wild passa lawyer looks like? How
to us look like the next ten years fifteen years?
(01:01:05):
Because if it's if it's just week after we just preaching,
then we have a grow up people that knows the
word very well, but no power. And God this is
one he wants to remind us again. I come with
percisive of words, but power first Corinthians. I think Chapter
(01:01:26):
one or two, and many times in our life, friends
we have we are so knowledgeable and friends, I want
let you know if we are live in a very
knowledgeable generation. This is the next generation. They're so knowledgeable, friends,
you can't outsmart them. They are very smart. But what
(01:01:47):
they lack is the like experience, power, power, transformation. Knowledge
really doesn't transform lives. Owning Jesus transform lives. At the
end of the day, Pasty, in the next twenty five
thirty years, you say, the fundamental still works, be fit
(01:02:09):
through to the fundamentals God has given us. Believing young
people is the fundamental that we hold very strongly.
Speaker 3 (01:02:16):
Yes, I want to let you know.
Speaker 2 (01:02:17):
The leaders in the extras you make mistakes, Yes, when
you are sicking, they never call you. Yes, I will
let you know. They be prepared for that. It does
like curage you. They may not encourage you. They may
just ask you just just get out on your feet
and walk. Yes, but it's all right. As I close
right now, friends, what do you have? I know what
(01:02:38):
I have. Friends, in my journey with the Lord for
the past thirty years, I know what I have.
Speaker 3 (01:02:47):
But what do you have? Friends? As I close, we
just give that a top before I pray.
Speaker 2 (01:02:53):
Because so important for us, because when you go to
work tomorrow, when you go to your college tomorrow, friends,
she'd be so tempted to look for look different things.
But the assurance is this Jesus Christ, the resurrection power
within us is sufficient.
Speaker 1 (01:03:12):
