Este poeta sevillano nacido en 1875 dejó un gran legado dentro del Modernismo español y formó parte de la denominada Generación del 98, siendo elegido miembro de número de la Real Academia Española. Algunos de sus libros publicados más importantes fueron "Soledades", "Campos de Castilla" y "La Guerra". Podemos destacar entre su obra poética: A un olmo seco, Caminante no hay camino, El crimen fue en Granada, Anoche cuando dormía, Elegía de un madrigal, Españolito que vienes al mundo y La mujer manchega.
