Speaker 1 (00:06):
It's Wednesday. You know what that means. It's time for
All Lee Talk with the ae W fat Hub podcast team.
Well tonight it's just me and Sutton. This is Kelson,
and we're gonna review a W Dynamite from Baltimore, Maryland.

(00:27):
So let's get right into it. We started with John
Moxley in a recorded statement before his match with Shebata.
What did you think of this sudden.

Speaker 2 (00:42):
Huh expected him?

Speaker 3 (00:44):
I mean it was a little bit of a different
I thought it was a little bit of a different message,
but it wasn't nothing unexpected. I just was kind of
surprised they did a recording before the match.

Speaker 1 (00:56):
What do you mean why did that surprise you?

Speaker 3 (00:58):
I just figured he'd do it in a ring before
them before the match instead of doing a recording.

Speaker 1 (01:02):
But either way, Yeah, so then we had that. What
did you think of the match?

Speaker 2 (01:09):
I thought it was a pretty good match.

Speaker 1 (01:10):
Uh.

Speaker 3 (01:12):
She bought as a great wrestler no matter what, and
they put on a decent match.

Speaker 2 (01:17):
I thought it was a decent opening. Wasn't really expecting it.

Speaker 1 (01:21):
But yeah, well, as soon as the match was over, uh,
I guess Moxley called out the Young Bucks. The Bucks
came out, Kenny Omega came out, Okata came out, Swerve
came out, which led into the Pack and Swerve match

(01:44):
that was advertised, which, you know, I thought that made
sense as far as keeping gets flowing. But what did
you think about the whole Bucks and Omega interaction with
Moxley and Okada and Swerve? What did you make of
all that?

Speaker 2 (02:02):
I thought it was pretty interesting.

Speaker 3 (02:05):
It added some details that we're missing from Sunday, maybe
gave you some insight to what's going on. I'm thinking
that there's going to possibly be a bus of Cotta
versus Kenny Swerve and Kenny Swerve and who I just

(02:27):
slipped my mind, but I figured that's what's gonna end up.

Speaker 2 (02:29):
Oh, I know, hang man.

Speaker 3 (02:31):
I figured they're gonna have a six way or two
here between now and the next pay per view.

Speaker 2 (02:41):
It gives you some interesting options.

Speaker 1 (02:45):
Okay, But then we went right into the Pack versus
Swerve match. What did you think of this? What did
you think of the match?

Speaker 2 (02:56):
Kind of surprise Pack get the crap beat out of him,
like you did, But you know, it was two guys
that I don't know, it just seems to it seemed
to me to be a.

Speaker 3 (03:07):
I don't even know really why they had it because
Pack really didn't put up much offense.

Speaker 1 (03:12):
Now, okay, well kind of got beat up a little
bit and then sworeth won and.

Speaker 2 (03:20):
That was it.

Speaker 1 (03:21):
That was it. Okay, Well, then we had a vignette
with the participants in the eight man tag team match,
which then we had the eight man tag team match.
Was what was your impression of the eight man tag
team match? Did it it hit?

Speaker 3 (03:44):
I mean, I don't have a problem with tag team
matches like this. It's a lot of fun to see
these guys go at it. It probably could have went
a little shorter, but it wasn't too bad.

Speaker 1 (03:55):
Yeah. Now, I apologize for not having any opinion at
all about anything that that we've talked about or basically
that you've talked about, because I watched none of it.
I am a man of my word. Death writers heard
a TV off, I didn't care about anything. I don't

(04:16):
like eighte man tags, kept the TV off. I turned
it on when they brought up the owen Hart Cup
with a vignette. That's when I turned the TV back on.
So I did not watch anything that we just talked
about or that you just talked about have no idea
what happened. I don't care put it that way. To

(04:40):
put it bluntly, I don't care. I am not going
to watch what I am not interested in. I am
not interested in Moxley or to death Writers or anything
like that, and I certainly don't want to see an
eight man tag match. I did see highlights on Twitter
of it, and you know, so I got the gist

(05:02):
of what like what Omega said, what the Bucks said,
and whatnot. That was enough. I did see some highlights
of the eight man tag which frankly looked like like speedball.
Mike Bailey just was watching everything left and right in
that match. That's the impression I got from watching it.

(05:24):
But then we go to the Owen Hart Coming vignette,
and that vignette basically focused on the women because we
had coming up later in the evening Chris Statlander and
thunder Rosa. But they also brought up that on Collision
it is going to be Harley Cameron versus Athena, with

(05:44):
the winner of that match going on to face Mercedes
Monet Wednesday night at Spring Breakthrough in Boston. And I
thought that was interesting because, let's face it, Athena is
probably gonna win that match, unless there's some kind of
trickery like if Mercedes Monet comes out and literally cost

(06:08):
Athena the match. But Athena is gonna have her probably
the main event. I'm not Athena, but well, probably Athena,
but Mercedes Monet is going to have the main event
in Boston. Would you agree with that?

Speaker 2 (06:21):
Probably?

Speaker 3 (06:23):
She's like I said yesterday, it's gonna come down to
Athena and Monet, and they're not having Monette losing Boston.

Speaker 2 (06:30):
There's no way in hell I know it would have
to be. She'd have to get hurt for them to
have her lose in Boston. It's just not gonna happen.
So Athena is gonna lose the first round.

Speaker 1 (06:40):
Right, and of course also on the collision is going
to be very oh at heart heavy. We're gonna have
Knoski Takashta against Brody King, which is interesting to win
her that match, of course, will go on to face
will Osprey and we're did they they did not announce

(07:01):
I hang Man had the wildcard match for a Collision.

Speaker 3 (07:05):
No, I figure it's gonna be Boston, and for the
life of me, I can't think who would be big
enough for them to pull as the wildcard in Boston.
I don't know who's missing or who they could be signing.

Speaker 2 (07:15):
It's going to be that big a person that they
have to have it on that show.

Speaker 1 (07:19):
I really think it's gonna be Josh Alexander. I really do.
Now on Collision, aren't they having another owen Art women
match as well?

Speaker 3 (07:28):
Women's having both women's matches on Saturday?

Speaker 1 (07:31):
The women's match, Uh Jamie Hater and uh Billy Starks? Right, yeah,
I could remember to save my life. Plus later on
in the evening, it looks like Megan Bain is going
to be there to have a match, kind of an
open challenge kind of thing. So yeah, not only is
Collision going to be very owen Hart Cup heavy, but

(07:55):
it's gonna be very women's matches heavy. And like I said,
this Athena and Harley Cameron match could be really fun
and really interesting. So yeah, I'm looking forward to that.
What's that I said?

Speaker 2 (08:10):
It should be good? It should?

Speaker 3 (08:12):
I mean that whole card. I personally think we'll be
better than tonight's card.

Speaker 1 (08:16):
Oh absolutely. I was looking at the card when they
were showing it later on in the show and they
were going over to Card. I was like, Wow, this
is a a really interesting card. It really is an
interesting card. Well, then we saw Hangman Adam Page. Renee
Piquett tried to get a word in with him, but

(08:37):
he basically stormed into Swerve Strickland's dress room. Swerve wasn't there,
but Nana was there, and it looked like Nana was
trying to apologize for everything that went down, but Hangman
wasn't having any of it. I thought it was really
well done. What about you?

Speaker 3 (08:56):
Yeah, I mean, I don't know if they're truly apologizing
or if they're getting into his head. Because it is happening,
it's working a number on on Page. He just he
just is like, I don't know. It just seems to
me like they're taking away his rage by you know,
the other day when it's hurt, Sweer said that he

(09:17):
deserved it, and now I'm not trying to apologize. I
think it's really starting to get the Hangman.

Speaker 1 (09:23):
Yeah. I don't think he really knows how to feel.
And uh, I think Hangman as a character is really
conveying it. Well. Yeah, I have to get props to
Hangman for his acting I guess it's the best way
to do it.

Speaker 2 (09:38):
Yeah, he's definitely putting on a great job doing this.

Speaker 1 (09:42):
Yes, yes he is that. We had another interesting segment.
The Hurt Syndicate came out to have their celebration, which
I thought, you know, was kind of weird. I mean,
they don't seem like the kind of people that would
celebrate retaining the world championship, the World Tag Team Championship.
But let's face it, the whole purpose of that whole

(10:05):
scenario was to get MJF to come out, and of
course he did, and yeah he got one thumbs up
and two thumbs down and requires three thumbs up. But
what do you think about this MGF segment?

Speaker 3 (10:23):
I thought it was funny. I mean, I love mgf's character.
I love what he's trying to do. I think it's
worked out really well with the Hurt Cyndy get.

Speaker 2 (10:33):
Later in the back when they were doing the interview
with MVP.

Speaker 3 (10:37):
He kind of said, you need to figure out what
they want and give it to him, so we'll have
more of this continue on, which I don't see a
problem with it.

Speaker 2 (10:45):
I think it's kind of cool.

Speaker 1 (10:48):
Yeah, yeah, do you think the end game is going
to be that MGF is going to join the Hurt Syndicate.
Do you think eventually he's going to turn those frowns
upside down or thumbs up, so to speak.

Speaker 3 (11:02):
I think he will, but I don't think it's going
to be the way I think people think it is.
I think he's gonna use them in some way and
it's not gonna work out well for them. I just
I just don't see him being like, like Bobby says,
you can't trust them JF. No matter what, you can't

(11:23):
trust him.

Speaker 1 (11:24):
He's our scumbag. I mean, that's just it. I mean,
I think anybody with the half of brain realizes that
MJF isn't going to be a good little soldier if
he joins the Hurt Syndicate.

Speaker 3 (11:36):
Yeah, he's going to try to get something out of it,
which the only thing that he could be using them
for is to go and to protect him against the
death Riders.

Speaker 2 (11:43):
But I don't really see that ending.

Speaker 3 (11:46):
I don't see that him being involved with that storyline
anywhere while the death Riders are stilling in in that
situation it's gonna be. I don't see him getting there
before all. In I don't there's just no way, unless
unless he happens to be the wild card and goes
up against Adam Page, which then puts him against Kyle Fletcher,

(12:09):
and I could lead to a weird scenario, but I
just don't think it'll happen.

Speaker 1 (12:14):
Yeah. Well, that we had, as I mentioned earlier, Megan
Bain and Penelty before and backstage where Bain did issue
an open challenge for collision and it looks like she's
going to have a match on collision. You know, watch
out Robin Renegade. That's all I can say. But I
think this segment in itself was pertinent because not only

(12:40):
did we see Megan Bain and she's not being swept
under the rug. The next match was thunder Rosa versus
Chris Statlander, and Tony Storm was on commentary, and she
did a little bit of work to put over Megan Bain.
So I'm pretty confident that this isn't a one and

(13:00):
done for Megan Bain, that she's going to be around
for a while. I think Tony Khan realizes that he's
got an asset here in Bain and they're going to
move forward with her. But then, of course, as I
just said, we had thunder Rosa Chris Statlander aw Women's
World champion against a former AWTBS champion. I was actually

(13:26):
a little surprised at the outcome of this one. I
thought that Rosa had a better chance of winning this match,
but Statlander came out on top. Tony Storm was well
Tony Storm on commentary. She had Taz and Shavanni speechless.

(13:48):
Frankly throughout the match. Kind of took away from the
match a little bit, I have to admit, but it
was still entertaining. The match was great. I thought it
was from what I saw. Again, I didn't see a lot, uh,
but what I saw was definitely the match of the night.

Speaker 2 (14:08):
For me, it was the match of the night.

Speaker 3 (14:10):
But I was disappointed in it because, and this isn't
just this match. It's starting to happen in a lot
of the women's matches where the eventual winner just gets
the shit kicked out of him for the entire match
and pulls one move and wins. They're doing it with
Mercedes when Mercedes, I mean, Mercedes was getting beat up

(14:32):
in a lot of her matches and then she pulls
one matches and wins.

Speaker 1 (14:36):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (14:37):
Megan Bain doesn't do that because she doesn't give.

Speaker 1 (14:41):
But Megan Baby beat the snot out of and then
the big package hit and.

Speaker 2 (14:49):
They're they're they're doing that too much.

Speaker 3 (14:52):
It seems like you almost can see if you don't
have any clue who's going to win.

Speaker 2 (14:57):
If you're coming into a match with the women's match,
like tonight, you were coming and thinking.

Speaker 3 (15:00):
That it could have went either way. When you see
thunder Rosa just beating Chris Statlander up like she's not
even in the match, and then all of a sudden,
Statlander hits her move.

Speaker 2 (15:11):
And that's it. It makes no sense and it's not
fun to watch. It really isn't.

Speaker 3 (15:15):
It was the best match of the night, but this
is starting to get to be I don't know, there's
just Tony's.

Speaker 1 (15:21):
No, no, no, I agree with you. I mentioned this
last night on our Ignition podcast, which we record every
Tuesday night. I had a big problem with the Megan
Bane and Tony Storm match, and that Tony Storm hit
Meghan Bain with not one, not two, not but three.
It was three hip attacks and that immediately hit Megan

(15:44):
Bain with a Storm zero and Meghan Baine kicked out
at one and then a few seconds later the big
package and it was over. It made no sense to me.
I'm sorry that that that was a really bad ending
to uh to that match, the Storm zero. She may

(16:09):
have needed to do maybe one more Storm zero on
her just to show that Mega Bain is a unit,
even though we all know she's a unit. But I
think that the Storm zero should have finished her off.
The package didn't make any any sense, especially after kicking
out at one. So I agree with what you're what
you're saying about Rosa and Statlander. And then Statlander was

(16:33):
getting pretty much handled. Not quite, it wasn't a dominant
by Rosa, but it.

Speaker 3 (16:41):
Was to the point where Statlander she hasn't been in
her matches. Lady hasn't been looking like Statlander until the
very end. She sort of seems like to me like
she's in some kind of days during the match, and
then all of a sudden just hits one or two
moves and it's over. And it just they're doing this
with too many women's matches and starting to take away

(17:01):
from the women's matches. It's making it look like, eh,
we'll cauld do with this for a little bit, and
we'll do it that way and it doesn't matter what happens,
you know, who's.

Speaker 1 (17:09):
Gonna you know, you know what I mean.

Speaker 3 (17:10):
It's kind of like they're just doing them as an afterthought.
At least that's the way it comes across to me.

Speaker 1 (17:17):
Yeah, no, I agree with you. But let's move on
because I actually found this segment interesting. We had a
short segment with Don Callus in the back where he
said that we know that Brian Cage suffered an injury,
but he basically said that the murder machines, Lance Archer
and Brian Cage are on the shelf and he's accepting
applications for new family members and the don Kallis family.

(17:39):
I'd like to think about that, and maybe on Tuesday
night and on a nission, we'll ask everybody you know, hey,
who do you think is a good fit for the
don Kallis family. That may be interesting conversation.

Speaker 3 (17:54):
It could definitely be interesting because I really can't think
of anybody right off the top of my head either
about who would fit that.

Speaker 2 (18:01):
But Davis is hurt too.

Speaker 1 (18:04):
Yeah, Well, maybe we'll get some kind of indication, some
kind of interaction between Don Callas and somebody on collision and.

Speaker 3 (18:13):
Where is what's his name? Part of the Best Friend.
I can't think of his name. He's been a while,
long time since he's wrestled.

Speaker 2 (18:19):
Uh. He was part of the Best Friends and went
with Tremperetta. Yeah, where the hell has Brenda beIN? He
been around for Oh? Is he injured too?

Speaker 1 (18:30):
Okay?

Speaker 3 (18:31):
I didn't even Yeah that makes sense because I was like, man,
he's been going forever.

Speaker 2 (18:38):
I thought I couldn't remember his name. I ain't seen
him forever.

Speaker 1 (18:41):
Yeah. So then we had Chris Jericho have a TV
time with the Learning Tree, and he brought out Big
Bill and Brian keyes the Bad Apple. I always want
to call him the Big Apple, and he's not a
big guy, so that doesn't make any sense, especially when
he's standing next to Big Bill. Brian Keith looks even smaller.

(19:03):
But we're starting to see the turn. You know that
at least Big Bill and didn't seem Brian Keith doesn't
really talk that much to begin with. He talks in spurts,
but Big Bill is actually quite good on the mic.
He expressed himself pretty eloquently tonight, and they planted a seed.

(19:27):
You know, maybe that the Learning Tree as it stands
right now, maybe coming to an end.

Speaker 2 (19:35):
Yeah, I think it's in his course. I think it's time.

Speaker 3 (19:40):
I mean, he tried that guilt trip being disappointed on
him and Brian Keith seemed to have fallen for but
I'm not sure Big Bill will now.

Speaker 1 (19:53):
Yeah, of course, then we saw I don't know why
they did this these two segments. They had the Hurt
Syndicate backstage with MJF. You know, I guess interrupting is
the best way of putting it again. I don't know
why they did that because it was kind of kind

(20:13):
of a rinse repeat of what happened earlier in the show.
And then they had Chris Jericho leaving the arena. They
showed him in the parking lot smashing a few things
with his bat, and he's probably gonna need a new bat.
But I really didn't understand why they did those segments.
They didn't really add anything to the show unless they

(20:36):
were just needed to kill some time. But then we
had the main event, Wheeler DA and Claudio Castagnoli against
Samoa Joe and Hook. I turned it off. What did
what did you think of this match? I don't even
know what I mean.

Speaker 2 (20:54):
The mask was good, Joan Hook won pretty much.

Speaker 3 (20:58):
They ox came at the end they went back and forth.
Hook took a lot of the beating. Joe got knocked
down a couple of times, but in the end mox
came out tried to draw their attention.

Speaker 2 (21:11):
You just tried. I can't remember what. He either gave
him a low blow or he did something to him.
He breaked the eyes I think it was.

Speaker 3 (21:17):
Was It ended up where they all put on a
form of the like red rum and the Coquina clutch
and uh actually Shabbata came out to get Moxley. And
then after it was over, they kind of put a
chair upside down so it was with the legs sticking up,

(21:40):
and then they got hooked and did a dropped him
on the Castanoli, dropped him on the chair. Joe got
back in the ring with the chair chased him out,
and then then Joe at the end got on the
mic and said that they're basically called him chicken shits
and said that they're coming after the Trios Championship and
that's where it went off there.

Speaker 1 (22:00):
Okay, so there is a challenge for the Trios Championship.
I guess that's where this whole purpose of this whole
night was going. Yeah, but can.

Speaker 2 (22:08):
I mean, it wasn't a bad match.

Speaker 3 (22:10):
I mean, if you had just cast, if they weren't
associated with the Death Riders, Cassian Only and you to
make a decent team Hook. I actually liked Hook tonight.
I think he did a good job of being the
guy to take the punishment for a while. They played
it out really well, and then you know, you got

(22:32):
you got guys like you didn't Hook make a good matchup,
and Casi Only and Joe make an excellent matchup.

Speaker 2 (22:38):
If those two were to ever go out at one
on one that would be a hell of a show.
But I didn't think it was that bad.

Speaker 1 (22:44):
It just, you know, it kind of purpose.

Speaker 3 (22:49):
Challenge showed that there are some that the Death Riders
might not be as strong as they once were.

Speaker 2 (22:58):
They're starting to have issues.

Speaker 1 (23:00):
Okay, well that was aw dynamite, and you know you
mentioned it. I think I mentioned I think I made
it clear. I really like the Collision card that's coming
on Saturday. I'm really looking forward to Collision. And we'll
be back on Tuesday night for Ignition, and we'll be
talking about I mean, we got two big shows coming

(23:25):
from Boston next week. We're going to be talking about
both of them. I really hope that at Collision we
get a lot of set up for those matches on
on Tuesday and Wednesday, because I believe that. I mean when, yeah,
Wednesday and Thursday. I'm sorry, Wednesday and Thursday, because Collision
is going to be a Thursday show next week, right Yeah,

(23:48):
and it's going to be on TV on Thursday. It's
not just being taped. It's actually gonna be on TV.
I believe. So, yeah, this is because it is.

Speaker 4 (23:58):
The it is the Uh, these are the show is
the one that makes Dynamite the longest running.

Speaker 1 (24:11):
Wrestling program on Turner Sports history. So it surpasses w
CW Nitro. It's in Boston where we had Big Business
and Mercedes Monett's debut last year. Uh, it's gonna be
a big show. It's a big deal. I'm interested. I
really am interested. Uh to hear like the what the

(24:34):
dirt sheets are saying about this show coming up on Wednesday,
uh next week for Dynamite, because there may be some
surprise guests. Maybe some old wc W wrestlers may show up,
you know, not the top card guys because they're they're
probably still under contract or legends deals with with the

(24:57):
UH with WWE, but we could some interesting guys like
you know, Disco Inferno or some people like that. Raven's
I don't know, you know, it'd just be interesting. I
think I think they really do need to do that.
You know, somebody else who may show up is well.
I I wanted to. I should have brought this up

(25:17):
earlier when we were talking about the Don Kallis thing again.
Brian Cage is injured, Lance Archer UH is kind of
out on an island because you know, one half of
the Murder Machines or are missing now because of the injury,
and of course Mark Davis can't step in because he's
injured too. But there was some news that came out

(25:42):
in the last couple of days that I thought was
pretty interesting, and that is that Steven Spielberg has a
new movie coming out. It's not titled yet. The star
of the movie is Emily Blunt. She's the lead actress
in the movie. But there is a scene in the
movie that takes place in a wrestling arena and the

(26:06):
wrestlers in the match are Lance Archer and Brian Cage.
So the Murder Machines are going to be featured I'm
not gonna say starred, but star but they are going
to be featured in the next Steven Spielberg movie. By

(26:27):
the way, the referee of that match is Shabo Guerrero Junior.
Oh going, so, hey, body, Chavo was in aw for
for a hot minute. Maybe he shows up, you know,
may you know, maybe you get Brett Hart showing up.
I mean some of these guys that that are in

(26:51):
you know, that have been on a w before. You know.
I doubt Brett Hart will, but it'll be interesting to
see because I really do think we're going to see
some special guests. You know who I'd really like to see,
And we'll we'll, we will again. We'll be talking about
this on Tuesday night on Ignition and listeners you're more
to welcome to show up and give your opinion. But

(27:13):
you know who I would like to see on Tuesday
night as a special guest, Dan Lambert. Remember Dan Lambert.
I would love to see Dan Lambert come in and
just roast aew I I just really would. I loved
Dan Lambert. Sometimes he missed, but more often than not,

(27:36):
he was this pure stupid entertainment to me, and I
appreciated it.

Speaker 2 (27:42):
Uh, I mean it would be it'll be interesting.

Speaker 3 (27:46):
I'm kind of disappointed that they didn't set up more
for next week already. I think they missed the opportunity
because I don't know many people, what's you know, uh,
Thursday or Saturday collision as they do Dynamite, So you
missed an opportunity to set that show up. It's supposed

(28:06):
to be a big show and they should have did more.

Speaker 1 (28:08):
Yeah, the only thing that they really set up was
Mercedes Monett against either Harley Cameron or Athena. That's really
all they did.

Speaker 2 (28:15):
There's nothing I did.

Speaker 1 (28:17):
Yeah, I mean that's it, you know. But look, regardless
of that, Tony Kahin's going to come through because he's
got two nights in a row and I think he's
going to heavily advertise both nights and we're going to
see what happens. So anyway, that's the all the talk

(28:38):
aw Dynamite from Baltimore, Maryland Review Again. We'll be back
on Tuesday night for Ignition at eight forty five pm
Eastern time. Join us because we are going to be
talking about things like who do you think is going
to be joining the don Kallis family? Who do you
think may show up as a special guest at at

(29:05):
at the Dynamite next week. I really wish they would
have said that the Hangman hat and page the wild
Card was going to be next week on Dynamite. Maybe
they did, but I missed it. Well yeah, so, I
mean that would have been a good advertisement right there.
But we'll see, because let's face it, that's a big show.
And if you're going to bring somebody like Josh Alexander

(29:27):
in that's a big show. Let get get him the
exposure right away, you know, put them in a big match.
I mean, look at Speedball. Mike Bailey got out of
pay per view and he's only been with AW for
a hot minute, you know. So they did the same
thing with Ricochet when he first came in. They put
him right at a big show. He wasn't all in.

(29:49):
His first match that he participated in was an all
in in Wembley Stadium, you know. So I think AW
was doing a good job with getting the big match,
big matches for the new people. So we'll see. So
join us on Tuesday, turn on your mics or just

(30:10):
be in the audience in the chat. Come onto our
Wrestling Hub, discord server and participate. That's what this community
is for. The aw fan Hub community above all else
encourages participation. So Thatt'll be the show for tonight. This

(30:30):
is Kelson, Good night everybody. I guess
