It's Wednesday. You know what that means. It's time for
all lead talk with the Hey w fanha podcast team.
We just watched the episode of Dynamite. Kenny Omega's return
was the big draw. But I'm gonna start from the
beginning with Buddy Matthews and Will Ospray this match. I'm
just gonna say, right off the bat. Over the last

couple of weeks on Dynamite, my reaction in the live
chat had been this match is going on too long?
Is it over yet? And it's been pretty much reciprocated
by the other people in the live chat. Not everybody,
but some people have re suprocated. My thoughts on this
match between Buddy Matthews and Will Osprey was I don't

(00:45):
want this thing to end. I would have been very
happy if it was a one hour time limit draw.
Put it that way. What did you guys think about
this match?

Speaker 2 (00:55):
You know, God damn it, Buddy Matthews is so good
rate at making himself look fantastic while simultaneously elevating the
people that he's wrestling. I've seen it. We saw in WWE,
we saw it in New Japan. Buddy is just absolutely
a gem. Probably the best wrestler in the House of Black.
Osprey obviously fantastic in his own regard, but this match

was a very solid start to a very good dynamite.

Speaker 1 (01:21):
Yeah that's the way you start a show, am I right? Oh?
Hell yeah that was great. Anybody else have thoughts on
this match?

Speaker 3 (01:30):
Pretty much what I expected. They're both very good and
they put on a very good match, so it was
a very good way to start.

Speaker 1 (01:40):
Yeah, rd is this gonna get? Is this a hit
or mission for you?

Speaker 4 (01:44):
Absolutely a hit. This was a fantastic match, something I
never knew I needed, but I'm glad I got. And
I think matt Manard said it in the commentary link
and you might miss something. This was fantastic, fast paced,
their strengths. Buddy Matthews continues to impress as a singles wrestler.

Speaker 1 (02:06):
Yeah he does, And comments were made Buddy Matthews is
just such a good seller. He really is. He looks
legitimately injured all the time. Well, I mean he doesn't
overdo it, he doesn't, just enough to make it look good.

Speaker 2 (02:24):
Yeah, I'm gonna jump ahead of the fed stands that
are about to pick this match in promo following up
like a part, you know, over speculation over what Malachi
Black is doing in AW moving forward. That's I think
that's because there's been a there was a lot of
talk Malachi Black today during the program, and you know,

(02:46):
we didn't see him. As a matter of fact, two
times in the past ten days we've had some very heavy,
you know, story pointing in the direction of the House
of Black breaking up.

Speaker 1 (02:58):
Well, do you think that that's a squerve?

Speaker 2 (03:01):
It could be a serve. I mean, like I wouldn't
say breaking up, but Malachi not being involved with that
anymore to some degree. I mean, the dude has wrestled
nine times in the past two years to one single,
one or two singles matches. You know, is this a
It's hard to call the ball on him because he's
so public about wanting to stay involved with the AW

And I'm not trying to pay a negative connotation on
this program. This dynamite was fantastic, but you know, you
know that his presence hasn't really reinforced the idea that
he wants to be here.

Speaker 1 (03:34):
Well, let me put it this way, if people start
talking about Malachi Black, probably by I don't know, probably
by the end of this podcast recording, which we're recording
right after Dynamite. Probably by the end of this podcast,
he will be meaning Malachi will be on Instagram. I'm saying,

I can't believe i have to do another video again.
I'm not going anywhere. Everybody should out up. Don't believe
anything you say unless you hear it from me. All
the of all the wrestlers that I've ever you know,
been a fan of, Malachi Black doesn't leave you hanging
like will e're won't they? Malachi Black will come out

and say I'm not going anywhere. Stop, you know, and
that's that.

Yes, is not a company that nor a person that's
known for the old bait and switch.

Speaker 1 (04:30):
Yeah. I mean, I don't know about you guys, but
I was kind of expecting something at the end of
the at the end of the show with Buddy Matthews. Uh,
you know, we'll talk about that where we talk about
the Kenny Omega segment. But let's move on because again,

this show is packed. The next thing we had was
Private Party. Uh, private Party. I believe they won the
tag belts in late October. They've had two matches since.
One was their successful defense in a four way and

(05:15):
the other was the match against Leo, Russian Action Andretti
last week. That's it. They've only had two defenses in
nearly two and a half months now. So we were
talking about this earlier on the subreddit, and what we
came up with was we're so smart at aw fandom,

(05:38):
We really are. We came up with, what Private Party
needs is Hurt Sidy get to kill them, you know, metaphor.

Speaker 2 (05:47):
Do you see anything, you see any conceivable reality where
they don't murder them.

Speaker 3 (05:54):
Now, if the mets gets made and they don't beat them,
there's a problem.

Speaker 1 (05:59):
Yeah, don't beat them. What are you talking about?

Speaker 3 (06:02):
If Private Party doesn't, If if the Herd Syndicate does
not destroy Private Party in under five minutes, there's an issue.

Speaker 1 (06:13):
Yeah. But by the same token, if you wanted to
get Private Party over as champions, what better way to
do it than against Hurt Syndicate. Seriously, so either way
you win.

Speaker 2 (06:28):
Man, They didn't just sign Lashly and Shelton n MVP
to like multiple a multiple year deal to not to
have them, you know, lose to Private Party. As much
as I love Private Party and I love the idea
of the belts being on them, you know, they don't
they're not as convincing.

Speaker 3 (06:49):
It was a good story. It should have been over already.
They they're they're not strong enough to carry the titles
for long.

Speaker 1 (06:57):
Well they're Here's the point, though, is that we don't
know that because they've not done anything with the titles.
And again that's not Private Party's fault, it's the booking's fault.
I mean, think about it. We also have the Trios
champions that haven't done anything, and that's again the booking.
The C two kind of put akebash on the tag titles,

the Trios titles, and frankly the TNT Championship as well.
There's they just didn't do anything with during the entire
ce too. So you know that's that's what happens. But
let me ask you this point blank, guys, Private Party
Hurt Syndicate. Is this a few do you want to see?

(07:44):
Is this something that you're like, oh, yeah, we got
to see this, or are you just kind of like, okay,
it's watchable, nothing special, is it? I would say it's watchable.
Read did you were you saying something too?

Speaker 2 (08:04):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (08:04):
Isaiah Cassidy has an emotional gear that he didn't hit
tonight that he usually does. Maybe it's difficult because they
haven't faced much adversity yet as a tag team with
the Belts. But you know, I think it would go
a long way for them to maybe have a timeline
with draw in their first match, just to kind of
raise the profile Private Party because you know, right now

it's not looking good. The Hurts In think is pretty dominant.
But I think Isaiah Cassidy can take this place. Is
that he hasn't been able to yet.

Speaker 1 (08:35):
Yeah, because well Mark quin is not the talker in
the group, that's for sure. But of course, right after
this segment, we went right into Bobby Lashley versus Mark
Briskow and what I thought was a pretty dark good match.
I thought it was interesting that, seeing as though the
hurt Sid the Kate were still out there, Private Party

just decided to leave. Didn't make much sense to me,
they just abandoned their post, but they came back. But
what did you think of the Bobby Lashley of Mark
Briscoe match.

Speaker 3 (09:13):
I thought it was a pretty good match. I actually
thought that Briscoe might have had a chance to stopping Bobby.

Speaker 1 (09:17):
Lastly, I mean they did present it like that because
Briscoe did have some strong moments and lastly did really
well making brisco look pretty strong. If you ask me,
would you agree with that?

Speaker 3 (09:33):
Yeah? And Mark's I mean, he's known for a tag
team camp, you know, being tag team champions. I think
they said what thirteen times? And he's won a few
singles titles, But I don't think people give him enough
credit for the ability that he does have, because he's
one of those guys that can just go and go
and go for a while.

Speaker 1 (09:55):
Yeah. But I think it's safe to say that when
you were looking into this match, you were looking at
it as a pretty much a Briscoe guaranteed loss. One
of the things that somebody pointed out was that when
Briscoe came to the ring, there was no banfair merchandise

or anything like that for the Conglomeration. Did you guys
know us that?

Speaker 3 (10:24):
Yeah, he didn't have he didn't have the Conglomeration come
up on the screen like they did later in the
night Kyle.

Speaker 2 (10:32):
Im back with Undisputed Kingdom.

Speaker 1 (10:36):
Yeah, that was pretty much of a production problem, I think,
and I.

Speaker 3 (10:41):
Think they forgot to tell him that the Conglomeration probably
isn't a team anymore. Yeah, and they just said, well, okay,
let's do it that way. But then again, when they
came out as the United king the guys for the
next the other match, the only one that they didn't
come out to anything to do with the United Kingdom.
They all came out to their own thing. I mean

Did, but yeah, yeah, but Cole didn't.

Speaker 1 (11:10):
Well, since we're talking about it, let's us move on
to one of my favorite matches in the night was
the Casino Gauntlet match. I really enjoyed it, and I
especially liked that they took their time with it and
they didn't rush it. I mean, they got a lot
of guys out there. Well, Jeff Jarrett came out, but
he didn't last very long. Wheeler you to of all people,

(11:34):
beat him to a pulp and brought him to the back.
But I thoroughly enjoyed this match. Of course, Will Hobbs won, which,
if I'm not mistaken, wasn't it Will Hobbs that when
he got injured. Wasn't that in the match against John Moxley?
So this is kind of a revenge match, And I
thought it was interesting that when Will Hobbs got on
the mic that he didn't mention that hopefully he will,

(11:58):
you know, during collision or you know, in one of
their vignettes they do for social media or something like that.
But what did you guys think of this match? Jay
White came out first, and I don't know if you
noticed this, but by and large, every person that came
out afterwards, their first person they did a move on

was Jay White. Quite a bit of times, j White
got his ask it tonight. He was there for it.
He worked his Assah that. I had a lot of
respect to Jay White tonight.

Speaker 2 (12:31):
He did a lot of ass kicking too, sure.

Speaker 3 (12:34):
I mean he wasn't the only one getting his ass gig.

Speaker 2 (12:38):
I mean he hit the Blade Runner like five or
six times.

Speaker 1 (12:44):
Anybody that orage Cassidy didn't come out?

Speaker 3 (12:49):
I thought when they hit I thought when they hit
the Conglomeration music, it was going to be him.

Speaker 1 (12:54):
Well they would have played the Pixies for him more
than likely. Right. Uh So, yeah, there anybody that you
were kind of surprised about, Go ahead, RD, I thought
I heard you chime in there.

Speaker 4 (13:09):
I was just gonna says in Cassidy's neck broken. I
mean you got two pile drivers last week after the match.

Speaker 1 (13:15):
Hey, we've seen broken necks and broken hands. Remember who
was it? Isaiah Cassidy got hit with the hammer and
then they won the tag titles two weeks later. So
broken bones are empowering at aw.

Speaker 2 (13:28):
Oh, I mean we heard a lot about that later
on in the evening. I broke my neck, wrestled for
twenty more minutes and one we'll get to that. We'll
get to that. Yeah, this match is awesome. The only
thing if I were to critique this, you're they're thrown.
So I love that they're finally making the World championship
like not a concession prize, like a consolation prize, excuse me,

Like they're actually giving meaning to holding the title. I
don't like the idea that the top that mocks is
the top of that pinnacle, because I could name five
wrestlers in eight right now that can outperform him tenfold.
You know, the Jared thing is a little confusing. I
loved I'd love to see it just because it'd be fun.
But I mean, like they're throwing a lot at the
world title right the world title right now, and just

it doesn't seem to have like a very strong focus.

Speaker 1 (14:18):
Mattressweet though, Yeah, yeah, I mean it wasn't it was
just a fun match and went on for a long time.
I love the way they set it up.

Speaker 2 (14:27):
You know.

No, it's not like every three minutes a new guy
comes out. It's totally random and it's believable that way.
It adds a little bit of an edge to it.
But uh, yeah, I mean they're not being a lot
of guys out there. Well, speaking of edge, let's talk

about the rated R legend Adam Copeland. I refuse to
calm cope. I'm sorry, that's just dumb to me. I
just can't do it. I just got used to calling
him Adam Copeland, and now they want me to change
his name again. I don't know if you noticed his
shirt he spelled legend wrong. Ye, somebody made a post

about it already. Oh they messed up. I know they did.
It's they it's l edge and you know basically so,
I mean it was odd purpose guys, you know you
with the program. He actually trademarked that about six months
ago or something like that. So yeah, it was just

a matter of time. Uh this, let's talk about Copeland exclusively. First,
what did you think of this promo? I thought it
was pretty good.

Speaker 2 (15:49):
He's always strong. Ben strong at doing those promo is great.

Speaker 1 (15:53):
I mean he did talk about breaking his neck and
about breaking his leg. Uh, you know, and just stop
breaking stuff and you can wrest all for ever twenty minutes,
you know, thirty minutes the next week everything. You know,
you don't have to take six years off of horber
LONGI was it six years that he had to take off?

Speaker 3 (16:13):
Think it was that long?

Speaker 1 (16:16):
You know?

Speaker 3 (16:16):
So people, I don't think a lot of people realize
that this is the culmination of the former Shield as
Copeland's enemies or opponents, because he's done this with everybody.
Now that he's got the Moxley, Ask.

Speaker 1 (16:35):
Everybody flat out, do you think that Copeland's the guy
that takes the championship from Moxley.

Speaker 3 (16:42):
I don't think he's the guy because I don't think
he wants to be the guy, to be honest, I
don't think that's what Cope's doing this.

I think he's doing it to move it along and
to raise the stakes on it. But I don't think
he has any plans to win in the title.

Yeah, we'll We're gonna circle back to the MGF and
Jeff Jared. I just wanted to go on the Cope
Copeland first. Uh here, but of course after Copeland did
make his promo in the ring, here comes the Death
Writers and immediately the crowd went mild. Uh. By far

the weakest segment of the night in my opinion, just
it was hard to even continue to watch. You know,
almost went and looked up, you know, started up by
Candy Crush game on my tablet, so I had something
entertaining to watch it. I'm sorry, I mean said, I've
said it before and I'll say it again. I gave

the Death Writers a chance, I really did. They're not
doing it. And the AW World Championship isn't even in
the championships in a W. In my opinion, the a
W World Championship isn't in the top four because it's
been so brow beaten down. It's just not So they've

got to get this. They they've got to get this.
They got to expedite this. Get the title off of
John Moxley. What was the last time we saw the title, guys.

Speaker 3 (18:24):
When he won it?

Speaker 1 (18:26):
When you see it last when he won it, when he.

Won Yeah, that's the last time.

Speaker 3 (18:31):
But that's the point. It's not about the title. It's
not been anything about the title.

Well, that may be the point, but but that point
you're talking about is not working.

I disagree, but I still like what's going on. I
think it's there's nothing wrong with it. It's a it's
a it's a long term term story that has not
been totally bad. They've done things with it. They've they've
made it bigger every time it's been after a competition
at one of the pay per views. It's just getting

bigger and bigger. It's still got a ways to go.
It's not going anywhere for a while. I guarantee you
it'll be around for a while. We'll be around till
all In at least all In.

the title.

the title. He said he wants everything, he wants the
championship back.

That's three guys tonight that said that they were coming

going to defeat John Moxley. I'll ask another question. Does
anybody think that our House Hobbs is going to be
John Moxley?

I mean, then, well, what do we get another triple
threat match, another casino royale they need to stop having. Yeah,
I mean, like you have almost ten people chasing this
belt right now, someone that the next person in the
pecking order is going to have to step up. I
don't know why the.

God this reminds. This reminds me too much of the nWo.
Not that it's as interesting as the nWo, because at
least the nWo was humorous. They were entertaining. There's none
of that with the Death Writers. They're dry as dry
could be. There's nothing entertaining to me personally about them.

But the other thing that that the nWo did in WCW,
being that they were all initially EXWWE guys. Those three
guys meaning Scott Hall, Kevin National Hall Coke could come
out to the ring and hold off the entire locker
room from WCW, and that was a bad look for WCW,

that their wrestlers were completely browbeaten by these WWE renegades. Well,
this is kind of the same thing with the with
the Death Writers. Here, you have a group that is just,
i'm sorry, completely uninteresting, and nobody can come close to

beating them. It's weird. I'm sorry, it's weird. I mean
tonight when Powerhouse Cobbs, Hobbs came out to make the
save everybody in the ring cleared out from the Death
Writers because you know, I guess five on one isn't
or whatever it was. Yeah, five on one is not

good odds against Powerhouse Hobbs. That bothered me. It's just
so stupid.

Was anyone paying attention to Dax Harwood while he was
fighting in the crowd.

What's saying we're not going to go back and watch
it now?

was fighting with, but like there was like a noticeable
botch cam was would off of him, but went towards
the hard camp, so you could still see him in
the back. Miss a chair and miss a not a
chair up garbage can spot? Oh completely whifted he was?

He was going up against the Claudia.

Speaker 1 (23:16):
Yeah, like Ricky starts sitting, uh, Brian Danielson with the
chair on the ring post.

Yeah yeah again to this, yes, God, but.

Anyway, Yeah, honestly, I mean, you're lucky. I'm able to
even say that I saw a part because immediately I beat,
my eyes got heavy, my eyelids started closing. I thought
I was gonna fall asleep. I have zero interest in
the Death Riders at all, zero period, just being honest.

So well, let's let's go back to MJ comes out
and cuts you know, with the Jeff Jarrett of all people,
I don't even know how to start with this. What
do you guys think of this?

Speaker 3 (24:12):
So it was hoping that he doesn't come out and
say that every time he has a wrestling match, he's
I'm starting. I've been thinking just just if he's going
to wrestle, let him wrestle. He doesn't need to do
that every week. But when MJF came out, that was
so good and funny.

Speaker 2 (24:30):
I mean, uh, I'm jaffer Cutta promo, so can Jeff Jarrett.
That these guys had some had a bit of chemistry,
did they not? I mean I thought that, Yeah, I
liked it, And honestly, you know this is I was
very staunch in defending Jeff Jarrett when he entered aw
because I thought it was awesome. But they haven't really

done much with him right honestly, just for Legacy's sake,
I wouldn't mind seeing them put the World Championship on
him for a couple of weeks, to like just seven
races they didn't think.

Speaker 1 (25:04):
I would much rather see him be the guy that
helps a younger kid win the championship. I'd like to
see him be a catalyst for this death writer's story
to end. I mean next next week, they.

Speaker 2 (25:20):
Could do it old school wrestling. They could beat the
shit out of him and then he can hang his boots.

Speaker 1 (25:29):
Yeah, that's true. Well, you know, look, when it comes
to MJF and Jeff Jared is not something that anybody
if you would ask them, what do you want, probably
nobody would have said Jeff Jared MJF. But now we
got it. I'm not complaining about it. Although you know,
in a world full of good Fellas and the Godfathers

and those types of movies, this is kind of twin peaks,
but doesn't mean that it's not good and it doesn't
have potential. So let's hold onto our hats and see
where this leads.

How long until the how long until the one hit
Wonder shirts come out?

Uh yeah, so.

You know, look, and then after this we get to
what I thought was one of the most entertaining parts
of the night, which was Harley Cameron. Of course with
Mariah May and Harley Cameron is just nuts. She's just insane,

and it's apparent. I mean, if you've been paying attention
to social media, there's been a lot of pictures of
Mariah May and Harley Cameron together, so apparently they're really
good friends and uh yeah, and they're getting a match
on Collision, which I believe was the only match in
that just for collisions so far during tonight's show. But

(27:04):
it's Harley Cameron and Mariah May. How did you not
want to see that? And it's a non title match.
So maybe Harley Cameron could win this by some fluke
and that would set her into a more deranged path.
I kind of want to see that, what about you, guys?
I'd love to see that.

Speaker 2 (27:25):
That'd be fun, be interesting definitely, you know, shake up
the women's locker room a little bit. Imagine that she
wins every she retains for like six months on Folly's Accidents,
Swoopsie daisies. That could be a really fun arc.

Speaker 1 (27:43):
Yeah, I mean, wasn't there an arc years ago where
somebody just kept winning accidentally? Yeah it was David Arcatt
I think.

Speaker 2 (27:57):
Yeah, Nick Gage fixed that run.

Speaker 1 (28:00):
Oh god, I still don't know what they were thinking. Well,
they played WCW. Those idiots.

Speaker 2 (28:11):
They put pre recovery Nick Cage in of Oh god,
the pizza cutter. I can't even.

Speaker 1 (28:22):
God forbid, make the side of the cross, kiss the thumb.
There you go, Oh my god. So then we had
the women's qualifier match, which a lot of people thought
was Tony Storm's match to win, and while she came
out of it looking like a rookie, which I thought

was brilliant. I love what they're doing with Tony Storm,
and they're booking her as a rookie and I'm here
for it. I think it's brilliant. And I wish that
there had been more of a play between Chris Statlander
will On Nightingale tonight, but there really wasn't. It was
a pretty much of a straightforward match when you say.

Speaker 2 (29:07):
There was just one part of the match where Chris
put her hands behind her back and asked Willow to
hit her because I think that she's asking for forgiveness.
That's what I thought that The match was a very
classic case of, you know, like developing a story inside
and outside of the ring. I thought it was very
well crafted. I think we're going to see a little
more of Stanton Willow in the future, but I wanted

(29:29):
to emphasize something with Tony Storm as well. Kelson, just
to piggyback off of you. This is arguably one of
the most entertaining thing that's happening in all of televised
professional wrestling right now, the Tony Storm stuff. There's no question.
I can't think of anything else on any other program,
including AW that's really signed.

Speaker 1 (29:49):
I don't know. Yeah, Tony Storm's getting a lot of
crowd reaction, but you know, real American beer got some
good reaction.

Speaker 2 (30:01):
Oh god, oh my god, I can't you But I told.

Speaker 1 (30:09):
You I was bird. I went out bought a case
of that ship.

Speaker 2 (30:13):
Yeah I wasn't.

Speaker 1 (30:14):
