It's time for all the talk Dynamite review with the
AEW fanhob podcast team. Guys, we just saw this was
kind of an interesting episode of Dynamite because there was
only two matches announced, the two World Championship matches up
to about an hour before the show, and I thought

it ended up being a pretty damn good show. What
about you, guys?
Speaker 1 (00:35):
I liked it.
Speaker 3 (00:35):
It wasn't bad.
Speaker 4 (00:39):
It did a lot of It did a lot to
get things cooking. It was definitely better than the last
few shows have been I think.
Speaker 2 (00:46):
Yeah, well the last few shows were go home shows
and fallout shows, so you have to give it that.
But did you notice that there wasn't really anything forbidden
dorish going on in this show?
Speaker 1 (00:58):
Not really. I mean it could have been, but not really. Yep.
Speaker 5 (01:05):
Yeah, I think this was a good storyline kind of
based episode. They had some good matches that will talk about,
but a lot of storyline events for specifically for a
w stuff and not really focused on for being door.
Speaker 1 (01:19):
Yeah, and I'm a fan of that.
Speaker 2 (01:21):
You know, anybody who's been listening to this podcast for
any type of time knows that I don't really think
the Forbidden Door needs a lot of build up. The
World Championship matches, yeah, but not for you know, dream
matches or whatever.
Speaker 1 (01:38):
You could just throw them out there.
Speaker 2 (01:39):
Look, this show was had a lot of matches thrown
out there at the last minute, and it ended up
beat a good show. You started out with Hangman Adam
Page backstage with MGF interrupting them. Then I went right
into the Hangman, Adam Page and Wheeler da match.

What did you guys think of this?
Speaker 5 (01:59):
Puh Yeah, I thought it was good. I like what
Hangman addressing m JF kind of calling him out on
his on his BS, knowing that Max is not gonna

do anything challenge Man, and so he kind of called
m j F out of m j F kind of
confirmed when he came back out later. But I did
like that. And as far as the Max that they had, uh,
I like that they kept it short. I don't need
to see you the putting up a fight against hang Man,

just quick and clean.

Yeah, what about you? U?

It wasn't a bad match, uh, I think you did
a really good job of selling his because the shaking
and stuff at the end, I don't think that was
I don't think that was My son's like he's in shock,
he's and chucking.

I'm like, no, dude, he's putting on a hell of it.

You know, I just think that that was it was
done well. Uh the fact that you know, they made
it clear that and a hangman made it clear that
his boys weren't there for him.

Man, that's a big that's a big thing I think.

To uh start the process of the downfall, complete downfall
of the Death Riders.

Yeah, well, you know what, at this point, I think
it's I don't even really think they're gonna have a downfall.

I think they're just gonna get swept under the rug
a little bit. It's just weird.
Speaker 2 (03:50):
It just seems like they're just gonna If it's a downfall,
it's gonna be like you know, and Bunny fall. Remember
Eddie Murphy his first stand up thing, Aunt Bunny falling
down the steps at the backyard barbecue. It took like
twenty minutes. It's gonna be That's what it's gonna be.

you know, I don't know, bad analogy, but you get
the point.

Let's move on because we had a kind of a surprise.
Speaker 2 (04:25):
They announced a men's tag team tournament out of the Blue,
and we had the first match FTR against Jet Speed.
This is actually a pretty decent match. I mean, FTR
won and I didn't think there was any doubt that
they would win. But I kind of liked this match.
(04:46):
It went long. Maybe what did you guys think?
Speaker 3 (04:51):
I liked it.
Speaker 4 (04:52):
I thought it was a really good match to get
to get the first match of the night because you
really can't count the hangman you the match because it
was so quick. But this was a really good match.
I thought they both did well. FTR helped make them
look real good.
Speaker 3 (05:06):
And I liked it. I like especially the ending. I
thought the ending was hilarious.
Speaker 1 (05:11):
Yeah, I mean, go ahead, Barcus.
Speaker 5 (05:17):
Oh yeah, I was just gonna say I was kind
of a in agreement. I thought it was a good match.
It's always good to start off with something well, not
really start, but have something really hot at the beginning,
and I thought this really got the crowd activated and
just beat our nice little team like that they were
thrown together, but they have some decent moves. They don't
(05:39):
really have the tag team elemant down. They just kind
of do moves. And I thought this where FTR came
in and really kind of forced them to work as
a tag team. So but they could. I was surprised
that they went out this early in the tournament setting.
I don't I'm plumbering in my head what other teams
(05:59):
could be in here soon?
Speaker 1 (06:04):
Marcus.
Speaker 2 (06:05):
I'm pondering, might have Marcus, whether any other teams and
that they could possibly throw at them could beat FTR.
Speaker 3 (06:15):
I'm a couple of.
Speaker 4 (06:18):
A team from CMLO and maybe an odd team from
that that isn't in the g one from New Japan.
They really have who's going to be in it, And
they haven't announced when the tournament's going to end, And
I'm kind of thinking, you're doing a tournament now. It's
a little too early to start a tournament for all
out because all that's like two months away. So it's

got to be done for you know, I think it's
got to be done for Forbidden Door.
Speaker 1 (06:45):
Oh. I agree with the un It'd just be interesting
to see who they put in the tournament.
Speaker 2 (06:51):
And if any of them have a chance of beating FDR.
Speaker 5 (06:56):
I just saw the Fiful reported that the Guns were
supposed to be in this tournament, and probably why they
didn't put any names on here is they were kind
of holding out hope that maybe they could possibly be
in it, but it looks like they may not be
in it.
Speaker 2 (07:13):
So, Yeah, Colton suffered an ankle injury and so he's out. Uh,
they did not say how long he was gonna be out.
It was an ankle. I thought it was his knee. No,
they said it was an ankle. Hmm, So well, I
mean that's I thought it was his knee too. But
fightfall saying.
Speaker 4 (07:30):
Was when he when he came, if you saw it
would happened. If you actually saw the moment it happened,
it looked like his knee just buckled. But yeah, I
used to play basketball and had a lot of ankle injuries.
It happens like that, So I get that that could
be an ankle. Now it's just sad he just got back.

Yeah, Well let's move on because.
Speaker 2 (07:55):
We had Nick Wayne and Kip Savian and mother there
Wayne backstage. Basically, do you think Kif Sabian and Nick
Wayne are gonna be I think that they kind of
alluded they're going to be in this tag tournament.
Speaker 4 (08:08):
They're not gonna win. Then, yeah, they're not gonna win,
but they're gonna be in a tournament.
Speaker 1 (08:14):
Yeah yeah, it'll.
Speaker 3 (08:18):
Be all right to see them together.
Speaker 4 (08:19):
But that's a that's a weak team together because Kip
doesn't wrestle enough, and you know, I just don't think
he's the partner for Wayne.

I can see him getting somebody. I gotta feeling he
got to add somebody else to this group. That's just
they're just not big enough.

Yeah, well, look, this middle of the show was really
bitten yette and promo heavy because after the matriarchy, we
had John Moxley backstage or yeah, backstage saying that he
was gonna come that what that hangman would hear from
the Death Writers tonight, So that was to look forward to.

Then here was something interesting because everybody that has been
talking about the New Faction with Julia Hart Tecla and
sky Blue have been called them the Sisters of Sin,
and they did this little vignette and it said that.

They're not sisters.

So I think and I looked at this I looked
at it on Twitter to see and they officially they
called them something else. I can't remember what it was.
Speaker 4 (09:43):
Wasn't it just sinners?

No, it was something totally different, and so there's really nothing,
nothing to justify, you know, sisters of sin, which is
kind of awesome.

I think about what they called him, but I can't

And when we're talking then, of course we had with
Old Nightingale backstage kind of just putting herself out there,
you know that she was upset that she didn't win
it at UH at all in in the Woman's Casino Gauntlet.
But by far the biggest UH vignette or promo was

actually an inn ring chromo was Will Osprey, who I
want his doctors, you know, because if I fall out,
if I you know, happened to fall out of an
airplane and I'm dead, apparently his doctors could not only
bring me back to life, but can do it any time.
For Forbidden Door, He's like, oh, yeah, I've got you know,

They're completely compacted and crushed, but I don't need surgery
and they can get me back by for mid Door. Great,

We had a lot of vignettes in between matches. We

had the Hurt Syndic gate backstage with m JF. It
just looked like, uh, Bobby Lashly gave the thumbs down,
So does he does to get three some thumbs downs?

what's happening. I am not buying it for a minute.
I think it's I think it's I think it's the
work right now. I don't think it's going to go
that way. I think he's doing that. They're doing this
to set up uh an attack on Hangman of some kind.

Okay, well that could be a good interesting story. But
then we finally get back.

About it earlier. I just wanted to touch on the
Hurt Syndicate thing. We didn't kind of talk about them
and Cope kind of I don't know what kind of
deal they've made there, and they had kind of working
with FTR and in the Hurt Syndicating, all those angles
kind of tying together there for a second.
Speaker 2 (15:23):
That just seemed like I think what that was is
that when Stokely came out last night last week and
said that Adam Copeland was not allowed to touch AFDR.
Speaker 1 (15:36):
I kind of think that that was a mistake.
Speaker 2 (15:39):
I think he may have like lost the script a
little bit because that didn't make any sense last week,
and it doesn't make any sense now. I think that
they worked hurt Syndicate in there, but it doesn't make
sense to have hurt syndicate well really, anybody fighting for
Adam Copeland. It makes Adam Copeland looks kind of stupid.

No, I've seen they do this all the time, where
they'll have somebody who comes back for a specific reason
to go after somebody and their manager makes it like
they can't.

And they used it.

Hurt synecate for what they're for exactly what they do,
they hurt people. And I thought it was pretty good
that they actually did that, But like I said, I.

Just don't buy this whole MJF hurt syndikod thing.

Yeah, all right, well let's move on to another, well
an actual match, because we went a long time in
the show without a match, and that match is Tony
Storm against Billy Starks. And what I thought was a
really I mean, look, Billy Starks is a really good
wrestler for twenty When she's what twenty five, she's gonna

be outstanding. I mean she's outstanding now, but she's gonna
be even that much better. I enjoyed the hell out
of this match.
Speaker 4 (16:52):
I thought it was a good match, but I think
Windsor came out too early. She should she should have
waited till Athena signed that contract.
Speaker 2 (17:01):
Well, no, because she, I mean no, then you would
have made no If Athena signed a contract, then, from
what you're saying, Winsor stops her from winning. You know,
then the whole all in because you know, Gauntlet be
completely meaningless.
Speaker 4 (17:20):
Well, you also forget that she faces Athena on Saturday
for that each title, So that would have been a
way to build up.
Speaker 3 (17:26):
That I would have had her. I would have had
her do.

It come out after Tony she took Tony's title, because
then she could have it could have been for both
titles next on Saturday.

that's that just doesn't make any sense whatsoever.

I thought it was a match. Billy is really good.
I don't want to compare her to anyone, but if you,
if anybody remembers the May Young Classic, and a lot
of those girls were really really young in that, and
now those girls from that are the bigger, the biggest

stars on in the ww women's division. She kind of
reminds me of somebody like that that very young. Right now,
she's good, she's young and good, but she'll be ten
times better in five six years.

I mean I thought this was a great match, and
I totally agree with the way it ended, you know,
with with Athena being prevented from essentially signing the contract
because it did a better job of signing, of setting
up Alex Windsor and Athena for for collision.

That we had Swerve and Etta Sarah. Uh, this match.
Speaker 2 (19:05):
Was kind of just like setting up the Okada thing
to me, I mean, there was no chance that Sarah
was gonna beat Swerve.

I think they went the long way around to getting
Acada's hands on Swerve to have it flip real quick.
But it was it was interesting the ending. It just
seemed like a crazy master to have to set that up.

Yeah, yeah, I think they just wanted to showcase a
little bit of it Cero knowing and they just recently
signed him to this double contract deal and they want
to put him out in front of everybody against one
of their top guys, and it's a way to get
Swerve in front of the crowd wrestling. But that don't

make that. I don't make it. But Okada Swerve match,
It's gonna be good.

forbidden door.

I'm kind of thinking that.

But I didn't think it was anything special. We had

I think that's a tag team that will probably be
in turn it.

Now what I'm gonna say here, and I'm really interested
to hear what your thoughts are on this because this
is where the show somewhat lost me. I did not
think it was bad. I don't want to say that,
but I just didn't think it was as good as
the other parts of the show. Start off with MGF
coming to the ring and then Mark Briscoe coming out again,
and I'm just not buying their whole stick at all.

I don't want to see Brisco and MGF. I really don't,
uh preview.

It's the same promo. They've done the same promo two
times in a row.
Speaker 1 (21:08):
Yeah, well actually make actually three times.
Speaker 2 (21:13):
Yeah, and then whatever. Then we had brisco against Claudio
Casti Gnoli and Frankly, you know, here's the thing. Job
Moxley did that vign yette earlier in the day or
you know, earlier in the evening saying that Hangman hasn't
seen the last of us tonight, and so this whole match,

I was just waiting for Hangman and John Moxley to
have competition because you knew it was coming. And I
don't know if you guys feel that way too.
Speaker 4 (21:45):
I like the Dorby thing. I thought that was pretty interesting.
The way they kind of stuck him in the back.
I thought that was kind of neat, but you knew
what was going to happen. A little surprised at Mark one.
Speaker 2 (21:58):
Yeah, I mean, the guy never wins wins matches won,
so that was that was a plus. Of course, casting
only doesn't win matches either, so somebody had to win, right.
Speaker 5 (22:11):
One thing I did like from this match and some
of the angles that's going on is how they kind
of all kind of weave into each other, like you
have the Mark Resko MJF was kind of weaved into
the Death Riders, which also kind of weez back to
the Art Syndicate, and everybody was So that's why you
saw people multiple times today. Yeah, everybody was kind of

involved with each other in one way or another.
Speaker 1 (22:39):
Yeah, well, what did you guys think.
Speaker 2 (22:45):
Of the announcement that Hangman ad Him Page and John
Moxley are going to have a World Championship match on
Dynamite next week.
Speaker 4 (23:00):
I was kind of surprised that the Death Routers just
kind of like were there when the Hangman walked out.
I mean, totally different than what they were before. All in,
they would have beat the shit out of him and
then done whatever, but they just kind of like hung
out and they almost looked like they weren't shock that
he showed up. And then he you know, saying that
he wants this match this way and they're going to

do it that way. I don't know, it's just gonna
be a match. I think I don't think Max is
going to win the title back.
Speaker 2 (23:28):
No, no, And if you think about it, if you
think about it, a W does this when there's a
when there is a World Championship match, think about it,
because they've done it before, and they've done it for
the TBS Championship I know as well. Remember when Chris
Statlander beat Jade Cargill for the for the TBS Championship,

they had a rematch almost immediately which Chris Statlander won
that one too and sent Jade Cargill to.
Speaker 1 (23:55):
Packed over to NXT after that, thank god.
Speaker 2 (24:01):
But this is something that AW does is that once
somebody loses the World Championship, they firm it up as
with the second loss, to kind of make it more definitive.
Speaker 1 (24:13):
And I think they need this.
Speaker 2 (24:15):
I just think it's really weirder they're doing it, you know,
two weeks after or two and a half weeks after
the all in match, I don't know.
Speaker 5 (24:27):
I think they just kind of want to get passed
this part of it. Although I don't think this will
be the end of this Deaf Riders thing. I think
it's gonna be Darby putting the nail in their coffin.
But I think they want to get hang In past
John Mutz.
Speaker 4 (24:47):
Yeah, yeah, obviously, I think that the I think that
the part, the the important thing is I think next
Wednesday is though, is it the last Chicago show?

Where did they go to?
Speaker 2 (25:01):
It's I believe it's the last Chicago Dynamite.
Speaker 3 (25:05):
Yes, that's what's going.

I think they're doing it to show the fans, you know, hey,
we got you guys were here for us. We're gonna
give you a good We're gonna give you a world
title match that's going to be a banger, and that's
why they're doing it that way.

Yeah, I mean that's that is a very good point.
And you know, and I actually agree with you, even
though I didn't think of it. So yeah, I mean
that's a really good point. But anyway, uh, that was
the end of the show. Uh So, grading it on
a grade school grade, A B, C, D F, what

would you grade this episode of aw Dynamite, Let's go
to uh Marcus first.
Speaker 5 (25:54):
I would give it a solid B grade, And I said,
I really enjoyed the Jet Speed FTR match. The Billy
Tony match was really good. I thought we had some
good ving yet some good promo, some that I didn't
really care for. And I really thought they advanced a

lot of things, and I can see where they're moving to,
and so it wasn't a outstanding shows that I thought.
It was a good show, all.
Speaker 1 (26:29):
Right, Oh what about you, Sutton? I agree, be Uh.
Speaker 4 (26:33):
I was a little bit different. I didn't think they
advanced enough things. They kind of did, like the swerve
and the cot of thing a little bit. They really
didn't advance anything else for me on that show, but
it was better than most of the shows that they
do during Forbidden Door season. They actually there's still story there,
(26:56):
but it's just kind of like still tying up loose ends.
Speaker 2 (26:59):
Yeah, and I agree with you there because you know,
I think that Forbidden Door season has inherently been a
weakness over the last three years for AW, and I
think they're doing it better this year. I'm going to
give this one a B plus. I like the matches.
I have to take away for the last segment, the

you know, the main event and the MGF and ring
with Brisco.
Speaker 1 (27:24):
It's it's too.
Speaker 2 (27:25):
Repetitive and meaningless that that main event match was meaningless.
I'm sorry, it just wash everything else leading up to it.
Speaker 1 (27:35):
I thoroughly enjoyed.
Speaker 2 (27:36):
I mean it was one of those things that if
I had just step away for a minute, I would
have definitely gone back and watched it before, you know,
continuing with the show, because I didn't want to blake
and miss anything. And that's all you can ask to
keep the keep the audience engaged, and it kept me engaged.

So I'm going to give it a B plus.

Yeah, I agree with you that was It was definitely
one of their better Forbidden Door shows or season shows
that not for Bidden Doors show, but for Forbidden Door
season shows.

I think having Forbidden Door take place after all in
instead of before and now for Ben Door's kind of
sitting right in the middle of G One season so
they can't get.
Speaker 7 (28:26):
Those guys over and do a bunch of that stuff.
I mean, it doesn't stop them from doing CMLL stuff,
but I think that helps and they'll just fast track
some stuff. I guess after G One or takes this
stuff from the g One and put it on Forbidden Door.
I mean, it doesn't have to be a versus paper
view anywhere. You can just do New Japan metchas and

Look, before I did want to point out that everybody

But did you notice that there wasn't really anything forbidden
dorish going on in this show?

Not really. I mean it could have been, but not really. Yep.

Yeah, I think this was a good storyline kind of
based episode. They had some good matches that will talk about,
but a lot of storyline events for specifically for a
w stuff and not really focused on for being door.

Yeah, and I'm a fan of that.

You know, anybody who's been listening to this podcast for
any type of time knows that I don't really think
the Forbidden Door needs a lot of build up. The
World Championship matches, yeah, but not for you know, dream
matches or whatever.

You could just throw them out there.

Look, this show was had a lot of matches thrown
out there at the last minute, and it ended up
beat a good show. You started out with Hangman Adam
Page backstage with MGF interrupting them. Then I went right

Puh Yeah, I thought it was good. I like what
Hangman addressing m JF kind of calling him out on

like that. And as far as the Max that they had, uh,
I like that they kept it short. I don't need

They announced a men's tag team tournament out of the Blue,
and we had the first match FTR against Jet Speed.
This is actually a pretty decent match. I mean, FTR
won and I didn't think there was any doubt that
they would win. But I kind of liked this match.

It went long. Maybe what did you guys think?
Speaker 3 (04:51):
I liked it.
Speaker 4 (04:52):
I thought it was a really good match to get
to get the first match of the night because you
really can't count the hangman you the match because it
was so quick. But this was a really good match.
I thought they both did well. FTR helped make them
look real good.

And I liked it. I like especially the ending. I
thought the ending was hilarious.

Yeah, I mean, go ahead, Barcus.

Oh yeah, I was just gonna say I was kind
of a in agreement. I thought it was a good match.
It's always good to start off with something well, not
really start, but have something really hot at the beginning,
and I thought this really got the crowd activated and
just beat our nice little team like that they were
thrown together, but they have some decent moves. They don't

really have the tag team elemant down. They just kind
of do moves. And I thought this where FTR came
in and really kind of forced them to work as
a tag team. So but they could. I was surprised
that they went out this early in the tournament setting.
I don't I'm plumbering in my head what other teams

I'm pondering, might have Marcus, whether any other teams and
that they could possibly throw at them could beat FTR.

They really have who's going to be in it, And
they haven't announced when the tournament's going to end, And

got to be done for you know, I think it's
got to be done for Forbidden Door.

to see who they put in the tournament.

I just saw the Fiful reported that the Guns were
supposed to be in this tournament, and probably why they
didn't put any names on here is they were kind
of holding out hope that maybe they could possibly be
in it, but it looks like they may not be
in it.

So, Yeah, Colton suffered an ankle injury and so he's out. Uh,
they did not say how long he was gonna be out.
It was an ankle. I thought it was his knee. No,
they said it was an ankle. Hmm, So well, I
mean that's I thought it was his knee too. But

Was when he when he came, if you saw it
would happened. If you actually saw the moment it happened,
it looked like his knee just buckled. But yeah, I
used to play basketball and had a lot of ankle injuries.

talking about the New Faction with Julia Hart Tecla and
sky Blue have been called them the Sisters of Sin,
and they did this little vignette and it said that.

So I think and I looked at this I looked
at it on Twitter to see and they officially they
called them something else. I can't remember what it was.

deal they've made there, and they had kind of working
with FTR and in the Hurt Syndicating, all those angles
kind of tying together there for a second.

That just seemed like I think what that was is
that when Stokely came out last night last week and
said that Adam Copeland was not allowed to touch AFDR.

I kind of think that that was a mistake.

I think he may have like lost the script a
little bit because that didn't make any sense last week,
and it doesn't make any sense now. I think that
they worked hurt Syndicate in there, but it doesn't make
sense to have hurt syndicate well really, anybody fighting for
Adam Copeland. It makes Adam Copeland looks kind of stupid.

No, I've seen they do this all the time, where
they'll have somebody who comes back for a specific reason
to go after somebody and their manager makes it like

an actual match, because we went a long time in
the show without a match, and that match is Tony
Storm against Billy Starks. And what I thought was a
really I mean, look, Billy Starks is a really good
wrestler for twenty When she's what twenty five, she's gonna

be outstanding. I mean she's outstanding now, but she's gonna
be even that much better. I enjoyed the hell out
of this match.

I thought it was a good match, but I think
Windsor came out too early. She should she should have
waited till Athena signed that contract.

Well, no, because she, I mean no, then you would
have made no If Athena signed a contract, then, from
what you're saying, Winsor stops her from winning. You know,
then the whole all in because you know, Gauntlet be
completely meaningless.

for that each title, So that would have been a
way to build up.

Was kind of just like setting up the Okada thing

I was just waiting for Hangman and John Moxley to
have competition because you knew it was coming. And I
don't know if you guys feel that way too.

I like the Dorby thing. I thought that was pretty interesting.
The way they kind of stuck him in the back.
I thought that was kind of neat, but you knew
what was going to happen. A little surprised at Mark one.

so that was that was a plus. Of course, casting
only doesn't win matches either, so somebody had to win, right.

One thing I did like from this match and some
of the angles that's going on is how they kind
of all kind of weave into each other, like you
have the Mark Resko MJF was kind of weaved into
the Death Riders, which also kind of weez back to
the Art Syndicate, and everybody was So that's why you
saw people multiple times today. Yeah, everybody was kind of

involved with each other in one way or another.

Of the announcement that Hangman ad Him Page and John
Moxley are going to have a World Championship match on

I was kind of surprised that the Death Routers just
kind of like were there when the Hangman walked out.
I mean, totally different than what they were before. All in,
they would have beat the shit out of him and
then done whatever, but they just kind of like hung
out and they almost looked like they weren't shock that
he showed up. And then he you know, saying that
he wants this match this way and they're going to

do it that way. I don't know, it's just gonna
be a match. I think I don't think Max is

think about it, a W does this when there's a

because they've done it before, and they've done it for
the TBS Championship I know as well. Remember when Chris

they had a rematch almost immediately which Chris Statlander won
that one too and sent Jade Cargill to.

But this is something that AW does is that once
somebody loses the World Championship, they firm it up as
with the second loss, to kind of make it more definitive.

And I think they need this.

two weeks after or two and a half weeks after
the all in match, I don't know.

I think they just kind of want to get passed

it's gonna be Darby putting the nail in their coffin.

that's a really good point. But anyway, uh, that was
the end of the show. Uh So, grading it on
a grade school grade, A B, C, D F, what

would you grade this episode of aw Dynamite, Let's go
to uh Marcus first.

I would give it a solid B grade, And I said,
I really enjoyed the Jet Speed FTR match. The Billy
Tony match was really good. I thought we had some
good ving yet some good promo, some that I didn't
really care for. And I really thought they advanced a

lot of things, and I can see where they're moving to,
and so it wasn't a outstanding shows that I thought.
It was a good show, all.

Right, Oh what about you, Sutton? I agree, be Uh.

I was a little bit different. I didn't think they
advanced enough things. They kind of did, like the swerve
and the cot of thing a little bit. They really
didn't advance anything else for me on that show, but
it was better than most of the shows that they
do during Forbidden Door season. They actually there's still story there,

but it's just kind of like still tying up loose ends.

Yeah, and I agree with you there because you know,
I think that Forbidden Door season has inherently been a
weakness over the last three years for AW, and I
think they're doing it better this year. I'm going to
give this one a B plus. I like the matches.
I have to take away for the last segment, the

you know, the main event and the MGF and ring
with Brisco.

It's it's too.

Repetitive and meaningless that that main event match was meaningless.
I'm sorry, it just wash everything else leading up to it.

I thoroughly enjoyed.

I mean it was one of those things that if
I had just step away for a minute, I would
have definitely gone back and watched it before, you know,
continuing with the show, because I didn't want to blake
and miss anything. And that's all you can ask to
keep the keep the audience engaged, and it kept me engaged.

So I'm going to give it a B plus.

Yeah, I agree with you that was It was definitely
one of their better Forbidden Door shows or season shows
that not for Bidden Doors show, but for Forbidden Door
season shows.

I think having Forbidden Door take place after all in
instead of before and now for Ben Door's kind of
sitting right in the middle of G One season so
they can't get.
Speaker 7 (28:26):
Those guys over and do a bunch of that stuff.
I mean, it doesn't stop them from doing CMLL stuff,
but I think that helps and they'll just fast track
some stuff. I guess after G One or takes this
stuff from the g One and put it on Forbidden Door.
I mean, it doesn't have to be a versus paper
view anywhere. You can just do New Japan metchas and

Look, before I did want to point out that everybody
in the audience put their grades up and everyone said
B plus. So it's a unanimous from the audience B plus.
So that's something I actually had people how people agree

don't think they'll put it later enough.

I would not be surprised. I would not be surprised
at all to see blood and guts happened, it all
out or a couple of weeks after all Out.

This year, I'm thinking all out, and I'm thinking it's
gonna be Team led by Derby versus the.

Because I mean, how else are you gonna you know,
the only storyline really left for the Death Riders after
this match next Wednesday is Darby's revenge because and in
that Danielson's revenge because yeah, they came out and aided,
you know, kept the Death Riders from attacking hang Man.

But as you see tonight, you know, Darby's not done,
and I know Danielson said he's not.

He's not going to be back anytime soon.

But we know tk TK doesn't like to leave things unfinished,
even it takes years. So we may see John Markley
and Brian Danielson in twenty twenty seven or twenty twenty eight,
referring back to this year for the revenge story.

So yeah, speaking of Danielson, I don't know if you
saw it, but Danielson made a did an interview, and
in the interview he said that when he won the
Championship at russell Mania thirty. It really didn't mean that
much to him, that was the headline. But he went

on further to say because he was in so much
pain and he you know, he was about to get
married the next week and they wouldn't let his wife
come to the ring. Of course he's married to who
is which one of them is?

And you know, it was just one of those things
where they posted it, and they posted it and I'd
read it, and people, it's weird because it doesn't matter
what you write. They only read the headline and they

w W fans ripped Brian Danielson up and down over that,
you know, called him trash and everything like that, you know,
And I was so tempted to say, look, let's talk
about pro wrestling, not sports entertainment.

Wow, that would have been That would have been so devastating.
You might have shut a couple of them up because
they had to think about what you said.
Speaker 2 (32:53):
Well, I did shut them up, but I didn't. Look,
I will tell you what I said. I mean, what
I said was I thought was brilliant. Let me find it.
Because people were getting banned left and right by Reddit
in this because everybody was acting like complete you know, yeah,

they were acting like school children. So I stepped in.

I said, word for word. Once again, I have to
step in here and remind everyone that the purpose of
this subreddit is subreddit is to talk about professional wrestling,
