(00:00):
Okay, so Captain Sarah Lance wouldlike to set you up and the girl
that yet you've been flirting with butyou haven't really done anything about yet on
a date themed for your favorite movie? What what what is the date?
Like? What is the favorite movieand what do you do? Oh goodness,
well, the favorite movie is eitherThe Princess Bride or possibly more fitting
(00:25):
for this occasion, the Mummy.Oh if we're going with I mean,
if we're going with The Princess Bride, I'm not really sure we would do,
uh except maybe rescue a princess,um, storm a castle at some
point, storm acastle, have funstorm in the castle. Um. But
if it were the Mummy, obviouslywe have to go and find a book.
(00:46):
Yeah, uh, you know it'sof legend, and we run into
some you know, dastardly Americans anduh, and of course we accidentally awaken
a mummy with an ancient curse.Someone's got to get like tied up to
the sacrificial altar thing too, youknow, Like that's I mean, obviously
(01:07):
I would be playing the Rick O'Connell, I would hope. So that is
that is my goal. But what'svery funny is this episode also starts with
the Mummy. So you're on theme. I'm on theme. What about you?
(01:34):
Um? I think it's I thinkit's going to be Casino Royal.
I think I think I'd be likeoff to to meet someone I didn't know
about on a train and having andhaving skewered lamb and then and then that
person would sit across from me andI'd be like, oh, okay,
well this is this is it.And we'd have to like fake date in
a hotel and that type of thing, and then eventually we hang out in
(01:57):
a shower all cold and clothed fora bit. But I say, okay,
so that's how that romance would start. You're going Bond, Um.
I'm actually surprised that the show didn'treally do Bond. No, they never
really did, did they. Well, the Bond trope thing is always tough
when shows do it, and I'mthinking specifically of Super Shows with small Phille
and Lewis and Clark both did theBond episode and they're both just tragically bad.
(02:21):
Yeah. Yeah, anyway, anyway, welcome back to Always hold on
to DC's Legends of Tomorrow. I'myour co captain Matt trow Eggs and I'm
your other co captain, Trisha.Halfway through that we haven't recorded in a
while, I was like, today, do it right? Yeah? No
I did. I did. Goodfor me, good for you? Yeah.
If you couldn't tell by our lovelyintro um, we're talking about season
(02:43):
four, episode thirteen, Egg mcguffin, which is a great title. Great
title and also like tying it's It'sIndian and Jones is back this summer,
so we're doing the Fates blessed Uswith a tie in here, So that's
fun. Are you an Indian andJones familytle? I am, indeed?
Are you excited forum Dial of Destiny? I don't know that I'm excited for
it, but I am interested. The last one was so bad. Yeah
(03:07):
that I'm just like, I'm gonnasee it. Ud be just a little
behind the scenes. I went tosee The Little Mermaid this past weekend,
h yes, and one of thetrailers was for the Dial of Destiny,
and I hadn't seen a trailer yet, and I was sitting there and I
turned to my girlfriend and I waslike, I don't know that I'm going
to like it, but I amgoing to see it. Yeah. I
read reviews of it. That mademe go like, hmm, maybe not.
(03:29):
But but you know what, Ilike Crystal Skull more than I guess
I should. I don't. Idon't think it's a great movie, but
I can. I can watch thatmovie, you know, Yeah, so
I might enjoy this. Um,we saw a Little Mermaid. We were
in France, so we saw itin French, which was a really fun
(03:50):
experience when you you've already seen themovie when you were a child, you
know, like we could follow alongfor the most part. I thought it
was great. I had a goodtime. Yeah, I thought it was.
For once one of these was nota complete pizza trash. I don't
know. Yeah, no, itwas actually pretty good, definitely better than
the other ones. But yeah,so we'll see about Indiana Jones. But
(04:12):
this Indiana Jones, it's quite classicand it's and it's variousness, um,
especially the ending. Of course, yeah, they do direct omachy stuff like
at this point. Legends is asitcom, you know basically, yes,
yeah, certainly with episodes like this. This is another one of those like
we have to get us from pointA to point B. So this is
(04:36):
like we have to get them dating, and then we also have to get
this whole thing with Ray. Um. So it's a nice little it's kind
of a filler. Like we've talkedabout filler episodes in the past. It's
kind of one of those, butit's so much fun that it doesn't feel
like bloated or anything. Yeah, the gimmick of it doesn't doesn't give me
that filler vibe at all. LikeI hadn't really thought about it as a
(04:57):
filler until you just said that.Oh well, sorry to no no no.
But to my point though, likethat's Legends doing a good thing,
doing its thing correctly, you know. Yeah, um but again. Fourth
thirteen Egg mcuffin aired April twenty nine, twenty nineteen, Written by James Egan
and Tyrn B. Carter, directedby Chris Tomorrow. Ratings point nine one.
(05:23):
Most of the season was under amillion viewers like that, which is
a bummer because this season is sogood. I know, this is this
is arguably one of the best seasons, you know, the best season.
It really depends um team rundown ofthe Legends, Sarah, Ray, Mick,
Nate Zaria one point, Constantine,Charlie and Mona and at the time
euro we have a Vigary and sortof Nora. Yeah, we're we have
(05:47):
interesting I put. Yeah, Nora'sin a coma and Mona maybe should have
been in the time a column whatever. Yeah, it's okay, she's on
and off the ship various things.Yeah, yeah, she's she's in and
out here. But it's all good. Um, just to recap for everybody
too. Um, in case youforgot it, turns out the demon Neuron
(06:08):
has been working with Hank at theTime Bureau. It was slashed Magical Creatures
away for dumb theme park reasons.Neuron also recently killed Hank and found a
new host in one mister Ray Palmer, which we know about from humming and
whistling. Yes, from the lastepisode, the humming and whistling of all
(06:30):
around them all yeah pop, whichis such a weird song to put in
there, but um, but it'sfree, but it is free. So
yeah. So like we've so wetalked about a few episodes of US Ago.
We talked about The Getaway, whichis a few episodes from before this,
so this is sort of a continuationof that story while missing some chunks
(06:51):
in the middle. Um. Sothat was like, you know, uh,
Nate initially like talking about being opento dating Zari because they had been
faked dating for his parents, andyou know some some earlier stuff with with
Hank and working with neuron Um andthen this is that that sort of after
thing. So this is you know, we've Hanks been killed by neuron neuron
(07:14):
sw switch to a different host fromdez Um. You know, all that
nonsense has happened. But so it'skind of funny to be like, we
we've done an episode a few episodesago, that was a few episodes before
this, and now we're jumping intothis. Yeah, I wonder if the
math actually worked out on that. It'd be funny if it did. I
haven't checked. I was watching thiswith my wife Kat, and she was
(07:36):
like, so, like, whyare they being so like chaste about this?
Basically, like, why are theybeing so stupid and not like doing
anything. I'm like, there's noreal justification for it as far as I
can recall, like the flirtation started, but otherwise they're just slow rolling it
for TV, right, Yeah,I think they're still rolling it for TV.
And they're also I mean, there'ssome amount of it that does make
(07:58):
sense to me, Like all ofthe weird flirting at the beginning, because
if you think about it, likethey started their flirtation by fake dating for
his parents, and then his dadwas killed by a demon, and then
we found out that his dad wasworking with a demon to create a magical
themed theme park based on his drawingas a child. So Nate's been kind
(08:18):
of going through it for a fewepisodes. But meanwhile, like Zari's getting
laid by the Indian Genie guys.So it's like, you know, like
I don't know, it's not likeeveryone's been like sitting there pining for each
other. It's just I guess that'swhat you're saying, Like it's it's kind
of untalked about feelings at this point. Yeah, basically, it's just like
they both have a thing for eachother, but they don't want to say
anything about it because it just seemstoo weird or like we don't know how
(08:41):
to approach it because we're friends andyou know, so I think it totally
works for me in that sense. But yeah, they had been like flirting
about it episodes ago and now havelike now we're finally going to do something
about it. Part of it alsois that we're so close to the end
of the season, and with whathappens with Zari, I assume that they
(09:01):
already knew that we're going to dothis right by this point, so they
were like, well, we haveto get them together in order to get
to that point in the end ofthe season kind of deal. Yeah,
it's so funny because again, we'dspent two seasons prior to this invested in
Nate and a Maya, and nowit's like I forgot how little of Nate
(09:26):
and sorry, there actually is oflike them together by the time that they
break them up, Like it's reallyjust a handful of episodes where they're together
before she's you know, essentially gone, right, And that's sort of why,
you know, in our previous episodewhen we were talking about them dating,
I said, like I wasn't reallyinto it, and that part of
(09:46):
that is because like it's very short, like it feels kind of rush,
because so we'd been spent two seasonsdevoted to the name of Maya relationship,
and then the beginning of this season, like the reason he's working at the
time hero is in part because Amyaleft, right, and he's sad about
it, Like he's also there tohelp work on his relationship with his dad,
but he's like feeling kind of aimlessbecause Amya left at the end of
(10:09):
last season and the whole Charlie thinghappens, and she now has Amya's face,
and there's a whole episode where hecomes on the ship and they're trying
to hide her from him, rightbecause it's gonna like so like that when
they're in France for the Minotar episode, Like he's feeling some sort of way
about that. So he still hasa Maya feelings at the beginning of this
season, and by the end he'sin love Azari. So two seasons in
(10:31):
a row that he has to seethe same cast member and pretend not to
have chemistry with them anymore. Yes, yes, indeed. So it's I
mean, it's not like it's bad. I don't think it's bad by any
means. But I wasn't. Ididn't buy into this relationship until after she's
stuck in the totem. I wastotally into it. I My only comment
(10:54):
is like, looking back, I'msurprised at how little there was, But
like I remember watching this episode andbeing like, yeah, cool, all
right, great, Yeah, thisepisode I think is also like Taylor made
for you. I feel like thisis very episode in many ways. Yes,
it's very true. I also well, well, I don't know,
just at the setup here the mummything makes me cringe just a little bit
(11:20):
just because it is but it's like, I know it's supposed to be,
like we're not going for realism ofany sort there um, But starting at
the start here, the Sarah andEva as conspirators in this stuff. Like
just the fact that they are nowlike totally solid and get to funk around
with the rest of the team likethose yes, is so enjoyable to watch.
(11:41):
I agree, I love them likeI One of my favorite things about
the show is that it it isn'tworried about the Moon Lenning curse or anything
because obviously, like these this isyour main relationship on the show, but
also because it's such an ensemble, there isn't like any of that fear that
if you stop having like turmoil forthe main couple, right that the show
will like fall off the rails. So they've had all their turmoil, They've
(12:03):
they're done with turmoil, right forthe most part. Um, they're done
with the relationship based turmoil. Um, so they you know, they did
My favorite episode we overshot one ofmy favorite episodes by one episode. Um,
so that's the egg plant, theWitch and the wardrobe. That was
the last one and that was theend of that fight, and now they're
just solid for the rest of theshowy and um. And one of the
(12:24):
things I love about that is exactlywhat you said, Like they when they're
solid, they just get to likehave each other's backs, even on stupid
crap like this, you know, like like watching this horrific flirtation accident happen
and just sort of staring at eachother like what the fuck was that?
(12:45):
What are we gonna do about that? And it was like I don't know
if we should do anything, AndThere's like, yeah, I'm gonna fuck
with them. Yeah. I alsolove that that Sarah is the type of
person that's just like you think youmight have chemistry with someone, fuck them
and find out, you know,Like like that's the part of me too,
where I'm like, yes, thisis a kids show, but also
there's a bluntness to this that Ithat I enjoy and find realistic. You
(13:07):
know. Sarah's whole thing on thisentire series has been fuck them and find
out. Um. But yeah,no, it's all fun, and then
obviously she sets them up on theIndiana Jones date. Let's talk about the
Adventurers Club for okay, we don'tdo it. This Adventurers Club is based
on a real thing, which washonestly, I can't tell you what the
(13:31):
real name of it was. Therewas like Adventurers Society that like it looked
like it was a bunch of differentthings, Like there was no like quote
unquote Adventurers Club, but it wasbasically this thing um started in New York
in nineteen twelve, and like, you want it to be really cool,
right, You want it to belike they go on expeditions and rent a
boat and they find a sarcophagus, you know, like all the old you
(13:54):
know, great digging that white peopleused to do and parts unknown. But
no, the primary function was monthlydinner meetings and weekly luncheons at the clubhouse.
At first, there was like thisstrict no publicity like rule too that
I wanted to follow. And thenby the end of it, they published
a magazine for decades, so it'slike, well, what what are we
(14:16):
doing here? Exactly? The wholething honestly seems very very dull, but
I will point out that there isnow a restaurant at Disney which is very
much based on all of this andis frankly like so much cooler than what's
the original thing, Like it's exactlywhat you wanted to be. Like there's
there's like notes on the wall fromIndiana Jones of like found this thought you'd
(14:39):
be interested in. It's like amap that you can find. You know,
it's actually got clues kind of throughoutthe you know, the thing for
the other stuff. And you know, it's just like a Disney dining experience
where if you wanted to spend twodays in that building finding all the clues,
you could And I'm like that that'swhat I want it to be,
you know, Whereas the real thingwas a bunch of rich guys, right,
like sitting around eating finger sandwiches orwhatever, Yeah, talking about we
(15:01):
should go to Africa, man darestAfrica. Yeah, And there wasn't was
there nobody interesting in the club, like nobody of note. There was a
bunch of people like that was thefunny thing. I found the whole list
of people and kept looking and itwas like it was a lot of writers.
It was a lot of pulp writersat the time too, a lot
of travel writers, but no onewhere I could be like, yeah,
(15:24):
you know, fucking f Scott Fitzgeraldwas in the club, you know,
like nobody like that of that kindof oh my god stature. Okay,
yeah, I certainly no Gordon Gilchristthough I did with that name. I
was like, this could be areal person. I don't know, you
never know. It is a greatname though for this particular situation. You
(15:46):
know, musicals. Are you aRagtime fan at all? I am not
really a Ragtime fan. I don'tknow it very well. Basically, the
white father in that is kind ofan absentee father because he's always off like
exploring because he has more money thanGod, and that's like he just wants
to go out to Antarctic or whatever. That's how he dies. Ultimately,
Oh okay, spoilers for Ragtime. It just reminded me like the whole thing
(16:10):
in his whole vibe and that musicaland seeing this guy, I'm like,
oh, yeah, that's what fatheris doing. Honestly, Like he's in
the warm tent and the people arecoming, like, look at this block
of ice, and I can't believeI've found this block of ice. I
love the idea of this though, right, Like this idea of these these
people coming together to you know, talk about the adventures that they're having in
(16:33):
the forties, and um, it'sit's neat. It's like a romantic ideal,
right, very much that kind ofthing. Um. So they Sarah
like drops Nate and sorry, shelike maneuvers it. So they have to
go together obviously, and it's sucha basic thing. It's no big deal.
You just have to go back tothe forties and do this one thing.
(16:53):
Would you, if you were inthis situation react like Nate or Zari.
Would you be like this is obviousa setup and totally fake, or
or would you be like, well, Sarah wants us to go on this
mission, so we should treat itlike a real mission. Um. I
(17:15):
think it'd be a little a littlecolumn a little column B. I think
I'd be like, oh, Isee what she's doing here, But we've
seen weirder shit, like you know, like I think it's funny the way
that Nate reacts where it's just like, oh, the accents a bit much,
mister Nazi, you know, likethat type of thing. Um.
(17:37):
But there's I'm too much of arole follower. Yeah, we're parton we
would be like hmm, might bea real old neg you know. For
me, the only problem I havewith Nate, like believing that Sarah set
all this up rather than just settingthem up, um, is how the
hell would she pull it off?Oh yeah, I don't know, like
he yeah, one point, fabricatorsand ideas and stuff. That's at one
(18:00):
point he makes a reference to likethem being the same company as Ava's parents
or something, um, which isa funny callback. I will, I
will give you that, but I'mjust like, that's a lot of effort
to go into to put put thesetwo people on a date when she could
literally just do a mission. Yeahshe actually did, which was the actual
(18:22):
goal right there right um Yeah.I do like the idea though too,
where like the legends are so legendsat this point that Sarah sees what this
is and it's just like this issoftball, Like I can I can use
this as a joke basically, youknow, yeah exactly, we don't have
to actually try this hard. Ican use this mission that's real to my
(18:45):
own means like that that's fun forme. I also like that, like,
you know, the the assumption thatyou make and because you don't see
her set up this mission, butthe assumption that you make is that she,
you know, asked Gideon for whereverthe pings were found, the one
that was The Adventurers Club, andwas like, oh, Nate's favorite movie
is Indiana Jones, Like remembering thatand then being like, this will be
(19:07):
perfect and then sending them off withtheir code names, you know, being
that is the cutest part to me, Like, I think the first nugget
of the Indiana Jones that obviously theytraveled by map, but beyond that,
like the first thing that you getthat's Indiana Jones is seeing her dress and
if you're a fan that you're like, oh, okay, you know,
I get this. And then himpulling out that card is adorable to me.
(19:33):
Yes, exactly the whole like,oh, let me guess he pulls
out them's the guy's name. Um, I'm actually I'm surprised that he hasn't
made Zari watched the movie, Um, because the ideas that she doesn't get
the reference right, but they're notthey're not together yet. No, I
know they're not together. But Nate'sthe kind of guy who would like make
(19:56):
you watch movies, like, yeah, he made her watch groundhog Day.
That's right, hatchuck Day. Um. But anyway, so I just think
that's funny. But it's it's justa cute thing that Sarah did. And
I think that it's fun that, like, like we were talking about earlier
that like once she and Eva aresolid, like they just get to have
fun with things. And I likethis idea of her being kind of a
(20:21):
romantic Could you see season one ofLegends Sarah doing this? No of course
not right, No, she's likehow far we've come? Yeah yeah,
yeah, but even still like sheshe'd almost want to come with like she
was a little chaotic at the time. Um, especially like I was just
thinking like the Pilot when she's likewith the thieves rather than the quote unquote
heroes or whatever. Yeah, butyeah no, but like that's also the
(20:45):
fun of just seeing how these charactersevolved. It's um, it's it's going
from season one arrow too. Iam the specter who recreated the multi Yeah,
that's just letting these these shows breathea little bit. Um. Anyway,
we do some more fun movie thingsat this club. We get some
entrapment wire play with a with awelcome gender reversal with Nate happened to be
(21:10):
the one that's like sticking his bootout, and yeah, that was a
great moment because, yeah, therewas a moment where you see that and
you're like, oh, I guesswe're gonna have that thing with Zari,
and then Nate's like, nope,I got this. And of course he's
entrapment wiring around like they Gilcrest hasput these wires around the egg to keep
(21:32):
it safe. Once it's been revealed, he entrapment wires into it, throws
the egg to Zari. Zari findsout it's paper machee, and that's really
kind of like the clincher for Natethat this is all fake. And that's
when the Nazis bargin and he's notremotely, you know, fussed about it.
So even when they're being tied upand they're doing the like, you
know, they've got a walter intheir face, basically, they're not too
(21:55):
fussed until they activate their comms andget in touch with Sarah and realize that,
oh, I actually you know, the game is a foot. Yeah.
That one that's one of my favoritemoments actually is that conversation back and
forth between them and Sarah where they'relike where you know. She just like,
oh, how's it going, guys, And they're like, hey,
so this is really great. Youknow, we're really oppressed you were able
to find these guys to play Nazis. She's like, uh, what those
(22:18):
are real Nazis. This is reallysweet. If I had one note,
the Nazis are a tad much, you know, that's that's cute. Yeah.
I also like again the heel turnsof this show at this point where
immediately, okay, now there isdanger. They're throwing knives at us,
They're about to shoot us. SoZari does some smart superpowers stuff, totems
(22:41):
herself away from the gun and hasNake get shot just as in time for
him to steal up. And I'mlike, oh, yeah, this is
this is great. You know, like we're instantly an action show for two
seconds, and then cut to avan Sarah Um curriering in and making more
you know, hook up jokes, like that's that's great. Yeah, We're
like they're just about to kiss, and then they burst in and they're like,
oh my god, for you guysjust about to kiss? Ah Um.
(23:06):
I so I love that bit bitof like use of the powers,
like it's super smart ian Zari's part, it's honestly very clever on the writing
part. Um, And it's Ifeel like we don't really see them use
their powers that much. You know, I agree, It's just you know,
it comes in every once in awhile when we see them. And
that was a nice like we definitelydon't get to see them like use them
(23:26):
in like in concert, right, like right, So that that was really
fun. Um. I thought thatthat that was clever and very cute.
Um. And that's what I'm aboutin all these shows. It's just like,
I love it when they use thepowers smartly. It doesn't have to
be big budget or anything like thiswas two seconds, but it's just like
it's there's something practical about it thatlets me buy it. It also made
(23:48):
me think of like, um,you know, how fast is Nate's steal
up reflex? Like, you know, is it just he was startled by
the gun? If he's like watchinga horror movie, does he steal up?
If he gets yeah, that'd bethat would have been a cute scene
a day yeah, like oh okay, yeah, expensive but acute, but
very funny. Yeah, yeah,it does seem like more of a m
(24:11):
He can do it in a flinchalmost, you know, yeah, yeah,
which I thought was very like,it works very well, but I
was like, oh, you werebanking on him being able to steal up
very quickly. Well, they've workedtogether for years now, you know.
Yeah, well exactly, there's atrust in a shorthand we'll get back to
this story in a bit, butin the meantime, we've got to do
(24:33):
some Rebecca Silver time we do.There's so much like because this is this
kind of one of these like transitionalpieces where it's like we're going from one
bit to the other. There areso many like cute, very it's it's
all very character based, right,Yeah, there's all this stuff about different
relationships between characters. There's you know, there's a lot of like just expanding
(24:53):
those friendships or those you know, those little backstories or whatever, and like
this is a great example of that, Right, this is like, what
are we gonna do with Mick. It's gonna be this, right, So
he's been operating as Rebecca Silver likein secret for about a season and now
we have like, you know,Rebecca Silver has gets a gets a letter
(25:14):
wanting her to reveal her identity. Also, how do you get mail on
the wave? Writer? All right, well, we don't have time,
but there's a po box. Theremust be from the publisher. Um,
has it been a season like whenwhen is the first Rebecca Silver book?
I don't know about the first RebeccaSilver book? But I know that we
find out that Mick is writing romancenovels, and right, here I go
(25:34):
again, and here I go again. That's right. I was thinking too,
it's the Diary of Bridgid the thingthat brings that. That's that's like
the next episode or something that's earlyseason four is that episode. But I
know I feel like at that pointhere, oh, you're right, it
is published or about to be publishedor something. You know, he's definitely
(25:56):
published by that point. Okay,but it's I think. I don't I
don't remember when we get the firstRebecca Silver book. I don't like,
we'll have to keep an eye outfor it. I know there are a
lot of Rebecca Silver references in seasonfour, because like Mona makes references to
it and all over the place. But but yeah, the first time we
(26:17):
find out that Mick is writing romancenovels is here I go again, and
then yeah, the diary Bridget iswhen like he sort of reveals it to
the rest of the team, right, Okay, that's what that is,
all right, And I knew thatthat Rebecca Silver played a part in that
or whatever, but that's fun.But yeah, I love I love that
these guys fam mail. I lovethat he's hiding it in his laundry hamper,
(26:37):
and I love that Charlie's instantly like, oh my god, a scam.
I haven't done a scamming forever.Let's do a scam, you know,
like please, they're offering Rebecca Silvertwenty thousand dollars to appear at romanticn
How realistic is this twenty k offer? I mean, I have no idea.
I wasn't. I've never really been. Okay, I know that they
(26:59):
get paid to go to conventions.I also know that a lot of stars,
especially like lower tier stars, goto conventions because they that's where they
make a fair amount of money, not just for the appearance fee, but
like you know, for autographs andphotos and all that stuff. So I
was not I know that cons area very good way to make money if
you're popular, but I was notsure about appearance fees. You done some
(27:22):
research on this. I did too, a little research on this. I
went deep into this. The thingI couldn't find was stuff about authors like
I don't know what like an AnneRice, you know, a parents Fear
convention weekend looks like or someone likethat. Maybe that's too big or too
small. I also don't really knowhow big Rebecca Silver is supposed to be.
(27:48):
Seems to be pretty big. Ialso don't know if, like Rebecca
Silver is a non to plume thatgets passed down, is something that's actually
happening now, Like is Daniel Steel, like did she right actually all her
stuff? Or is that a namethat's been passed you know, Like I
don't know really brand authors like that, but just looking at like actors from
(28:10):
like our world of geek stuff, like if it's able to find some numbers,
there's a really good article from thispre COVID Times for what that's worth.
But like Jensen Echos Supernatural for fifteenyears can get between forty to seventy
five K for a weekend. That'slike all told, which is insane.
(28:30):
Matt Smith at one point could dotwo fifty for a whole weekend, which
is nuts to me, and likeMarvel Stars are like five hundred n which
like that makes sense to me.But I also saw like Jewels State Legends
own Jewel State and also from Firefly, and that type of thing can do
like ten k in a weekend easy, sometimes up to like forty depending on
(28:52):
what type of line it is.So it's like, I get why there
is this pole to this. Andjust to kind of wrap this up,
Mark Gnheim had a quote where likein the world quote in a world where
residuals don't mean as much, conventionsare like residuals, which makes sense to
me. Like Jill State even talkedabout like turning down work because she had
(29:12):
a convention book that weekend and she'slike, I'm gonna make more signing autographs,
imposing for pictures. Yeah, she'sbeen one of the actors who's been
the most upfront. I think aboutthe fact that, like conventions are a
way to make money for actors likeher, Like she's been in a bunch
of TV. But you know, isn't like this giant, big name,
right actor, Like if you knowher, you know her, right,
(29:34):
Um, But if you don't,then you don't care that much. But
like you know, conventions are agreat way and they don't charge that much
for various things like you know, autographs and photos. Um, so you
know, I think that that's athat's a nicet. Like if you're gonna
if you need to make money, don't do it. That's that's great.
Does your polite to fans? Yeah? Do you do you do the convention
(29:55):
thing? Like will you go getan autograph? I have not done it.
M's It's never been a thing thatis like the most important part of
it to me. Like I'm I'mmore at conventions to like go to panels
and stuff. Um. But Ihave friends who do it and have done
a lot of it, and likethey they love it. They've had a
really great time. I've been toDragon Con, which has like a big
(30:17):
autograph room, um so badly whenwhere it's just tons of stars, um,
you know at their little booths andlike you can walk up and talk
to them and get autographs and getphotos and um, you know, they're
they're great and like, um,they're usually pretty good. Dragon cons probably
the best place if you want tohave fun interactions with like your favorite star.
Um I had I didn't personally havean interaction, but I was standing
(30:41):
near uh, Katie Lots and KatrinaLaw. We're sitting next to each other,
and there was a little girl dressedas black Canary, I think,
and I just saw that. Bothof their faces like melted. They're like,
oh my god, she's so cute. That's awesome. Yeah. So
(31:02):
it's like it's like, if youever want to go to Atlanta for Dragon
Con, it's Labor Day weekend everyyear. It's one of my favorite conventions
and there's a ton of that kindof thing, and um, yeah,
I've heard it's it's gee Kevin,Like that's you know, I've done Comic
Con San Diego a lot, butthat is also so commercial at this point.
It's fun as shit, but it'slike it's its own beast, where
(31:22):
like Dragon Con feels like, oh, that's the massive one that is still
for us. Yeah. Dragon Conis the largest fan run convention in the
country, if not the world, and it's you can really feel it,
especially because they still have like theycall it the Hall of Fame where you
just go and that's where every allof the stars are, you know,
just sitting at their booths ready tochat. With people and they're usually very
(31:45):
nice. Yeah, you know, people have obviously had negative experiences, but
when you have a good one, like word of mouth gets around and it
becomes like you're the person people wantto seem. So yeah, it's a
good time. I do recommend it. But yeah, so like I've done,
I've done elements of that, LikeI've gone with my friends to do
things, um that I haven't done, and they've It's always been good.
(32:07):
And you know, definitely I agreewith you A good time that Like if
you're not going to make residuals onespecially an older show, Um, you
know, if you can go toa convention and still make money off of
this thing you did ten, fifteen, twenty years ago, awesome, especially
like a duel state where it's likewhatever money you're making off Firefly reruns is
never going to be enough because there'sonly like episodes. Yeah exactly, so
(32:30):
like go for it, yeah, exactly. Best best experience, just real
quick of mine, that I everhad was with m Ashley Scott, who
was Helen Kyle Huntress on the Birdsof Pretty show. Yeah, like we
became friendly and and I've seen hera couple of times at cons and whatnot.
It's just always the loveliest person.Worst reaction is kind of a tie
(32:53):
between. Well, there was aJulian Anderson thing where like it was such
a like you had to pay likeright in front of her, and she
was like not going to look atyou until the interaction was done because she
was kind of awkward with like howit was set up like that was just
like bad. Yeah, she wastotally fine and lovely, but it was
(33:13):
just like a bad situation there.Um Marco Kidder not to speak ill of
the Dead on the phone doing herlunch order the entire time I was there
getting her autograph and I walked away. I'm like, there's something very low
as Laney about that. Like Iwasn't mad, you know, it was
just like, yeah, of coursethat's what that was. That's fine.
(33:35):
Yeah. I haven't had any negativeinteractions myself. Um, I know I
have friends who have, but Ican't remember any of them off the top
of my head. But um,there are a few and far between at
the very least. Yes, Yeah, the actors are paid at that point
to be there and be lovely andyeah, you know, yeah yeah anyway,
and more importantly, yes, RebeccaRebecca Silver romanticn reveal. What do
(33:57):
we feel about Charlie's Rebecca Look here, it's ridiculous. I think she's got
the scary spice thing going on.I don't know exactly what she was going
for, but it's like, thisis not a person who I think would
be a reclusive writer, right,No, No, you think of like
the way Mick talks about her.I'm like, oh, it's Stephanie Meyer.
(34:17):
You know it's someone like that.Yeah, or um, honestly,
even even someone like Patricia Highsmith whojust hated people, but like writing you
know, yeah, that sums itup to um. Yeah. The glass
I mean, like, you know, it's on our Bingo card, the
glasses and whatnot. It's funny tome that this is the look that Mick
(34:42):
curates with her. He's involved inlike making her look that way and like
and like helping her figure out likehow to respond to questions and um.
This is also the episode where wefind out the like Mick cares right he
reads his fan mail. I believethat Gary has a beautiful female dancer inside
(35:06):
of him. I don't quite believethat this this woman is what's inside somewhere,
but regardless. Um, but yes, I think it's really cool that
this is the episode and it's Charliethat gets to have this interaction with that,
like this is this is how heexpresses this side of himself. He
does care about this. It isnot a joke in the least. I
(35:28):
think that it's a good combo ofpeople because, like, I feel like
at this point in time, Charlieis probably the person who would Mick would
probably most get along with in termsof like we're kind of on the same
page, like stealing crap and likeyou know, who gives who gives a
shit or whatever? Right, Um, like they they have sort of that
(35:49):
they're not as earnest, right,Like Charlie is not as earnest as the
rest of the team. Um,but like put so putting them together for
this, like let's go scam likeromance readers, And then it forces Mix
to be like, well, I'mnot I'm not that Like this is actually
important, right, right? Youcan't just bullshit your way through this.
I need you to try, right, you need to do it right,
(36:12):
you know. He reads his fanmail. He responds to his fan mail,
which is like so cute, andhe responds to it um. Yeah,
so it's it's really durable. Andthen like so then Jack supposing like
Charlie and her sort of like kindof acidic um nature in this in this
scam with Mona, who is nothingbut earnestness um is so great, Like
(36:37):
it's so perfect. Yep. Yeah, the Mona stuff too is really fun.
A when she like we'll get tobook club in a second, but
when she's got to run off andtell Saraeneva like Rebecca Silver is about to
reveal herself and like take pictures, you know. Really, Yeah, that's
(36:59):
that's super right, And like justher as the fan that kind of pushes
this forward is great. But yeah, I watching this episode, I'm like,
oh, is this why I likeMix so much? Because like there
is this this part of him thatthat takes pride and it is appreciative in
the love and the support that hegets as a as a creator who's giving
something to fans that I'm like, this is actually character building in a very
(37:23):
stupid way, but it's fun Itis exactly. It's It's also funny because
so I've recently, as a resultof the flash ending, I recently decided
to go back and rewatch the beginningof the Flash. So I just got
to like the first introduction of MickRory and like just the strides this character
has made over all these seasons, and like, you know, when you
(37:46):
consider, like this is four seasonsin two legends, like that's so much
character growth in four years. Wherehe's gone from you know, the person
that we knew him as originally onthe Flash, who is all about you
know, stealing and letting crap onfire and you know, being disturbed given
horrible to like a romance novelists whogenuinely cares about his fans is just so
(38:10):
wonderful. Like it's so weird togo back and watch that those original episodes
and be like, ha, youeventually become this right and pregnant with aliens
and dad and whatever. Yeah, yeah exactly. But yeah, So then
Somna sort of forces him to exposewho he really is because she shows up
(38:30):
and sees Charlie and is like, that's not Rebecca Silver. Yeah, and
Wolf's out almost. But meanwhile,in the second book plot of this episode,
oh more than one book plot,we get to see book club.
We do. Sarah's trying to joinbook club. It's her first week doing
it. The first time we reallysee it, I think, though I
(38:52):
think it's been mentioned before we yeah, I mean I can't remember if we
see it before this or not. It's only mentioned okay, right, like
a few times. I think beforethis, but I'm not. I'm not
sure if we've seen it or not. But it is fun because you know,
like this is we're going to actuallywatch them meet and uh, and
(39:13):
Sarah wants to take part in it. I used to find it very relatable,
like um uh, it's it's nother favorite novel or anything, but
any chance, but there was there'sparts of The Time Traveler's Wife, the
book that Cat wanted me to read, and I started reading it and I
was like falling asleep every night, and it was taking like months and put
(39:35):
it away and whatnot. It wasn'tuntil I got the audiobook that I got
through the whole you know. So, like Sarah working out to this audiobook
at like five time speed or whatever, I'm like, yep, this this
is very relatable, extremely like andI so I mostly do audiobooks because it's
easier for me to pay attention tothem. Um, and I always do
them at at least one and ahalf time speed because the way that audiobook
(39:59):
narrators read is so slow, thatlabored way that she went through the door,
and it's just so very slow, and I understand why they have to
do it that way, but like, my brain operates at a faster pace,
so yeah, I always turned itup to one and a half time
speed, and then it becomes like, Okay, this is at a speed
that I can really Can I makemy brain do this when I'm reading?
Yeah, yeah, but it's soit was I was it was very relatable
(40:22):
to see her doing this, AndI also love this idea of like,
like Sarah trying to participate in somethingthat that evil loves doing, unlike genuinely
trying, like reading this book, even though this book was awful. The
book of Course in question, bythe way, is The Girl Who Got
Murdered too much excellent? It almostit feels like a Rebecca Silver novel though
(40:43):
it's not. But it's like amystery, right, a thriller. Yeah,
And like the writing of this isso bad, Like I think with
the title they're trying to mimic girlwith Dragon tattoo, like the Millennium book
series and whatnot. But like it'sit's so pulpy and trashy and it's it's
great, Like I I love itbecause I've read like a few kind of
(41:06):
mysteries like this is very much tryingto like mimic sort of like either maybe
like someone it's kind of trying tomimic someone who's trying to mimic girls dragon
tattoo, right, Okay, it'sright, Like it's it's someone who's just
like one of those prolific writers whojust writes like a ton of books and
it doesn't really matter what the qualityis, but it's it's all like I
think it's also meant to be likeif you're listening and you catch the dialogue,
(41:30):
it's like sort of rewarding you withthese stupid lines. Um like this
this whole thing about like this ridiculoussetup of this like extremely basic white girl,
uh like coming home from hot yogawith her machete green smoothie in hand
and like uh that. So myfavorite bit is, like, you know,
I came home and saw the doorslightly ajar and wondered if my dog
(41:50):
walker or personal shopper or astrologer hadleft it open. And that's what I
heard a voice say there's something I'vebeen meaning to kill you. Like,
like, how much fun do youthink they were having writing the audio book
for this book? Right? Thisreminds me what Dan Park talked about,
where like they got to write mpieces for like the Time Bureau Manual,
where it's just like, yeah, this ship must be just so much fun.
(42:14):
Like this ancillary writing. It reallydoesn't have to be good. In
fact, make it terrible, rightright, make it stand out so that
it's funny as shit. Yeah, exactly. I also love like we find
out that that Ava never actually readsthe book. She just uses it as
a time to like unwind a littlebit and drink rose. And I love
(42:35):
Sarah being like legitimately like it wasactually a pretty good book. I actually
spent the time. And I havetheories, you know, I yeah,
I love that too, Like Ilove the idea that like it's Ava fravas
Homnna turn her brain off and listento Mona go on and on um and
and then like them, you know, being her being like supportive when Sarah's
(42:55):
actually read the book and she actuallyreally liked it, and then I can
listen to you go on and onum and then of course it actually becomes
important. Yes, yeah, it'sall about this the doormat. Yes,
it's always the doormat. Yes,um, because that plays in going back
to the A plot of the story, which is uh said U, Nate
(43:21):
and Zari on this thing, andthen it also plays into like our C
plot or even D plot, whichis a sort of like background thing of
Ray's haunted arm, which I haveso much. We have to get to
that in a second. Yes,um, but yes, I do love
that this This dovetails perfectly Indiana IndianaJones thing with the with the doormat,
(43:43):
with the assistant character who actually stolethe egg, and um, it just
becomes the big giant fight at theAdventures Club where everybody gets to kick Nazis
and Ava gets the whip and there'sthe kinky talk with that later and diving
for eggs and it's just it's justall super fucking fun. Yeah, it
really is. Um. I lovethat that reveal moment where it's like,
(44:04):
is it Zari Who's like, youknow, well, Gil Chris as he
found it, but I actually thinkhis assistant did a lot more of the
work than he's letting on. It'slike it's always the dorma hat. Yes,
yep, that's fun. It's alsolike just them punching Nazis again on
one of these shows. Yeah, always reminds me of earth X and Mick
getting to do They're like, Ihate Nazis and Nita everybody like taran As
(44:27):
and throughout that whole thing. It'sfun. Yeah exactly, Um, it's
it's good. It's fun to seeall these people together and um doing their
thing. Yeah. I mean, like we have a whole other story to
get to, but I feel likewe touched on a lot of the ship
lug things already. We had Sarainevo, we had Nayton, Zari, Mick
and Charlie. Is there anything elseyou'd want to say to any of those
(44:50):
before we get into, um,into what rays up to. I don't
think so. I mean I thinkthat we really did talk about the way
that all these different relationships, absurdcharacters work together and um and how how
fun and nice they are. Um, you know, so I think I
think we've we've hit all of thosethis whole episode. This is one of
those episodes where the whole thing isa ship log. Yeah, yeah exactly,
(45:13):
Yeah, which which is which makesit really fun episode to watch.
Meanwhile, to paraphase one of myfavorite movies, Naron is walking around in
a brand new ray suit. Um, and they'll do it just to mix
movie metaphors. Right away, they'redoing an evil dead thing like, yes,
Ray is being tormented by his handand even gets to do the like
not groovy line, which is reallyfun. Um. I don't know,
(45:36):
I thought this was all really great. I think it's it's a testament to
Brandon as an actor where he's gotsome things in this where like it truly
looks like the hand is self possessedand he's trying to fight it, like
he does them. He does theBruce Campbell thing really well. I thought
he does he does, he doesdo it really really well. I think
(45:57):
it's also a testament to the showand and the writing on it and the
acting on it that like, thereisn't a single plot line in this episode
that isn't interesting and that doesn't movesomething forward. Yes, uh, you
know, even the book Club stufflike moves along. Other elements like moves
along the Saradavor relationship keeps Norah inthe picture so that constantly can show back
(46:20):
up and wake her up. Right, um, and who's conveniently off screen
for most of this episode because he'sso got damn powerful, yeah right,
and he had to go find aphoenix feather right whatever. Um, you
know, so we and you know, of course Nora being in a coma
being the only one who knows thatlike Neron is in Ray, um that
kind of thing. So, likeevery single element of the story moves something
(46:40):
forward and they manage to use everybodyin it. So in this part,
you know, it's it's Ray who'sgot this whole thing going on. But
this is also how they bring Garyback into the picture, right, who
has speaking of door mats, right, And so then that also flows through
the whole thing as well. Isthis idea that like it's always the doormat
(47:00):
because when you don't expect things thatpeople or when you abuse them like they
are very can you very easily turnon you. And specifically what we're talking
about here is like, um,what is it if if neuron in Ray's
body gets him to kill a lovedone, then he like he owns the
body, Like that's a way thatyeah, that the demon could take hold
basically, and though Ray tries toattack Gary at one point, like when
(47:24):
Gary's kind of worried about it,Um very basically has to admit like,
you know, well, I meanyou're great, Gary, you know I
like you. But and again,Adam has an awesome acting moment of like,
oh oh well that sure, ofcourse now I have a crying room
(47:45):
at the time bureau. But yeah, no, I don't like I'm not
liked by the legends either. That'sfine, it's that that whole idea of
like he's just sort of like tackedon and and and I it also like
plays in this is like a seasonlong arc for Gary too, right,
Like the very first episode is himlike being the sacrificial lamp to a rape
rampaging unicorn um because he's essentially disposable. It's everybody else and a joke so
(48:12):
we can buy this nipple off andnever have to deal with it again.
But no, no, these writershad a play off. The nipple has
returned. This is again and likeyou're talking about, like all this character
stuff actually forwards the story. It'sall the more impressive when one of the
things that has to be forwarded isthe demon deal with the magical nipple that's
returned the un and then it hasto be threatening, like that's that's a
(48:36):
magic trick. It really is.It's it's so good. Yeah, the
return of the nipple and then thenipple being like part of the whole next
episode, like an important part ofthe whole next episode, and it's just
having an eye us. It's alot it's great, but it's a lot
(48:57):
um so it's yeah, it's justreally nice, like like full circle thing.
Whereas like Gary has been the buttof every joke this season and now
because they you know, didn't thinktwice about him. He's the big threat,
right, Well, Neuron of courseis the bigger threat, but he's
not a small threat. But he'she's going to be an issue. Yeah,
(49:19):
yeah, he's going to be aproblem. A team member has been
turned. And of course, youknow, if if you had gotten your
nipple bit off by a unicorn, maybe you would make a deal with the
devil to get it back. Maybemaybe I wouldn't care that much about my
nipple though, I'm gonna be honest, Gary cares. Yeah, we don't
get have to get into which nippleshe'd care about or not, but like
my own, I don't, Idon't think whatever, I'll be fine Gary,
(49:46):
Yeah, apparently, um we I'mgonna preface this by saying I don't
care. I really don't care,Okay, but I would love to talk
to a writer about Like, soif you had to justify Gary being an
alien and the nipple coming back fromhell, Like, how would you do
(50:07):
it? All? Right? Howdoes that work? Again? I don't
give it. It's a wreck.I don't care. Yeah, absolutely,
Like when they're writing season four, they're not thinking that will in two seasons
Gary is going to be an alien. Well, of course he's secretly an
alien. Yeah, it's just asuit. It's like they always Sunny Guys
(50:30):
have a joke on their podcast aboutlike this long running con that Mac was
always gay and they just wanted towait till season twelve to reveal it.
And it's just like, no,like this just happened, you know.
Yeah, yeah, I just Iwould just love to hear. I'm sure
that that discussion had to happen inthe writer's room at some point, Yeah,
(50:51):
the end of season five or thebeginning of season six, And I'm
just like, what did we justwave over it? Or was there was
there some little bit of thought thatthat just justified it? For people.
I feel like this show is oneof the best examples of like why hand
waving works sometimes yeah, totally, like if it's good enough, no one
gives a shit. And the revealof Gary as an alien in season six
(51:12):
is so thrown away that it doesn'tlike you don't even have time to sit
and be like this, this makesout whatever, we're okay alien, keep
going yeah about it anyway, it'sfun. And again, Brandon Brown's a
great actor. The moment that likeNeuron takes over, he's a different dude,
like it's really it's really really cooland is it gets to play the
(51:34):
villain for the rest of the seasonand he so he drops the goofy like
right away, Yeah, totally.Oh, it's just yeah. I've seen
him make a similar turn before, which is on Chuck. Oh okay,
I never really watch Chuck. Inthe third season of Chuck, he shows
up and he's basically Captain America,Like he's this like super spy who's just
so good at his job and alsoridiculously handsome, and he's he presents as
(51:58):
like a romantic el essentially for Chuckwith Sarah, the girl who he likes,
and then it turns out Chuck okayum, and then it turns out
that he has this very long conbecause his wife I believe was killed and
it turns out that she was killedby Sarah Um. But Sarah didn't know.
(52:20):
That's what she goes. It's likethis whole thing where then he becomes
the villain of season three. Ohfun um. So it's this turn where
like he's he's basically Captain America andthen all of a sudden like no fuck
off, like he is the badguy. It's not as drastic a turn
is going from you know, ahappy go lucky Ray Palmer too like evil
yeah, in the same shot. But it is fun. I love watching
(52:43):
him play the villain. He's sogood at playing villains. Yes, um,
which is funny from a guy who'sbasically Superman, you know who's Superman
and by all accounts a lovely man. Yeah, exactly speaking. I was
just thinking about this the other day, but Chuck brought it up, like
what happened to Adam Baldwin? Uhhe still pops up, does he?
Okay, I haven't seen him inforever. I've seen him in a bunch
(53:05):
of stuff, Like obviously I sawhim and checked for all those seasons and
he pops up as a guest areon various Okay, still out there.
I was like, yeah, he'sstill out there. I feel like he
tends to pop up as a guestor anything and anything filling in his end
anyway. Oh and by the way, the egg is a dragon egg,
So yeah, I think that's afun reveal. Obviously plays into the rest
of the season. It's a goodway to end. But yeah, this
(53:28):
is this is a busy ass episode, but it's all fun. Yeah it
really. It's a very busy episode, but it doesn't feel that busy right
like, and it's all very welldone, like it's a really I think
this is a great example of justlike a really well written episode where stuff
happens. Yeah. Again, Ididn't think of it as a filler episode
because it's one that I'll go backto and rewatch from time to time and
(53:51):
not feel like, oh, whatthe fuck was this again? You know,
like it's it's it's only and Ionly use filler because so much of
the show is this this big story, like this larger story. But it's
a filler episode only in the sameway that like the Monster of the Week
episodes of The X Files were right, right, Like, it's very much
more in that vein where those wereusually the best episodes. I was gonna
(54:12):
say, and like the X Filesepisodes, those are now the most rewatchable
ones. Yeah, they're egg.So it's extremely rewatchable because it doesn't necessarily
rely on things before and after.Yeah, only a tiny, tiny bit,
right, So it's it's very muchrewatchable. You don't feel like you
have to watch the next episode. You don't feel like you had to watch
the previous episode in order to followalong. And yes, the egg is
(54:36):
a dragon egg. That that is, of course the thing that had to
happen gonna come up again, Yeah, it's gonna be a thing. Hey,
you want to play some games,Let's play some games. I don't
remember who wrote anything here. Well, we can start with our legendary moment,
which we have separate ones for legendarymoment, but the same one for
MVL. Oh do we okay?So what is your legendary moment? What
(54:58):
is your big moment of the episode. My legendary moment of the episode we've
talked about it was the Zate andNari Zate and Nari Jesus Christ, Zate
and Nari Si and Nate smart poweruse the her totening herself away, him
stealing up. It's just it's thoselittle things that just like get me off
in a superhero show of like cool, that was awesome, It's great for
(55:21):
me. The legendary moment is Mickloves his fans. It's like when he
finally reveals himself to be Rebecca andmakes his big speech yep, cool,
epic there and so yeah, it'sso great, very sweet stuff. MVL.
I guess we're both going, Zari, we are there. There is
no other choice in this episode.Yeah. I was like, Nate honestly
doesn't have to be there. No, he doesn't. Sorry done the whole
thing herself despite the fact. Maybeit's because she's not distracted by the fact
(55:45):
that we're in my favorite movie, you know right. Maybe it's that.
Yeah, um, well cool, shall we shall we save the timeline with
a couple of cards here, Let'ssave the timeline with these cards scenarios in
the words of Ray and Mike Tysonblank, which was so fucking funny.
(56:05):
I think we've found our mystery.Oh God, for me, it's you're
sending your friends on a very specialemission slash secret date to retrieve blank from
Blank. We'll getting in with themdoubles again. Look, yo, gotta
get them doubles in all right solutionsslash people quote not groovy at all,
(56:29):
souvenir, romanticon, tote bag andkick some Nazi ass and I have book
Club Rose Hell Nipple and cliche Nazibad guys perfect. We might have to
do a Nazi calling ultimately off thefinal list, you know if Yeah,
(56:50):
we'll say um and bingo cards. We've got Rebecca Silver, which all three
of us had, so go teamU steal up and legend be legend.
I've fallen behind, Oh no,because you were so far ahead before.
Yeah, well you've gained ground,as have the listeners. So still still
anybody's game, as we learned lasttime. But yeah, that's that's where
(57:15):
we stand at the moment, allright, doing Okay, shall we roll
for our next episode? Yeah,it's been so long beyond the curtain,
it's been so long since we've donethis. Is there one that you've rewatched
recently that you're like, I wantto get to, or like anything on
your mind that you're hoping for.I mean, I always am hoping for
the I plant, the witch andthe wardrobe, but um not off top
(57:37):
of my head. No, Ilost so much of this. I'm not
adverse to covering that episode, butI'm truly like that should be your bingo
win. Like I want you tobe like, yeah this, I just
want that to be the triumphant momentfor you. But either way, however
it happens, I'll be happy. All Right, Are you ready? Yes?
Have the episode? Gut up?No, no, why would you
(58:00):
ask me that? Yes? Ihave the episode? All right? On
a roll for season? Here wego, rolling that D eight season four,
Stay all right for chilling out fora little all right, how many
episodes are in season before? Wehave sixteen episodes seen? All right,
rolling for the episode. Here wego, Episode seven. Ooh, hell
(58:24):
no, dolly, hell no,dolly. All right, this is a
great one one I started to watchthe other day, one that is referenced
quickly in this one too, whereJohn got a spell from the sorcerer then
he meets in that one. Yeah, this is a this is a good
one. This doesn't we shouldn't coverlegends of to Miamio after it? Right?
No, this one ends you know, going into Legends of to Miamio.
(58:46):
But it is not necessary. It'snot a too hard necessarily. If
you feel like we should, wecan. No, I agree with you.
And again, Legends of to Miamiofeels like one like we gotta wait,
we gotta get a guest for that. Maybe we could get a guest
for this one, if you're upfor it. Yeah, maybe, well
cool. I'm really I'm really excitedabout this one thing, really fun episode.
(59:07):
Yeah. Have you rewatched anything ofLegends at all lately or or is
it just like now it's like thisis, this is I might as well
save it from what I had todo it for the podcast. Yeah,
I'm pretty much just watching them alongas we as we go. Um.
There are every once in a while, like I'm watching an episode and I'm
like, oh, I want togo back and like rewatch Legends m But
I haven't been doing it in partbecause I want to keep following along with
(59:30):
what we're doing. Um, butI did just recently start to rewatch the
flash, so we'll see how far. So you're doing that. Yeah,
I recently had two eleven plus hourflights, so there was a lot of
Legends I watched I watched the InvasionCrossover too, you know, like I
was. I was in my stories, I was doing nothing. Indeed,
I'm I have a seven ish hourflight coming up, and I'm probably I'm
(59:52):
thinking of just bringing my switch andjust playing games. Yeah, oh god,
it's so much easier from the EastCoast, isn't it? Damn it?
