the beginning's episode. Very funny,very funny. I love too the like
if you miss the last episode,go fuck yourself. Yeah, basically immediately
lost this. I love this episodeso much. But one of the things
that I noticed while watching it waslike, nothing happens, Nothing happened,
it's real, Lokay, I love. I really also didn't notice it till

watching this because, like you know, I don't watch the show with a
critical eye genuinely, but I'm like, oh, of course I like this
one where it's like a the stakeshave never been higher, but also kind
of low stakes, you know,like drama wise, it's like, yeah,

you know they're going to get outthe other side, okay, like you
know, yeah, because the stakesare so high and it's not a crisis,

so the whole point of this season, well at the beginning of the

alien devices or is the box sentientin its own way. Oh, it

Basically he has only been referenced onceand all of the rovers did they reference
the Source Wall and the arroverst theyreference it in the Flash. I just
watched this episode like yesterday, whichis the when they're trying to open the
box for Diggle said something about thesourcefall. Wow, oh my god,

that I like about the the wholething about it is that way it's so
obvious immediately when they put the ballin the case that it's a world,
and that that it's some sort ofplanet. Yeah. But yeah. So
one of the things that I likedabout about this entrance for them and for
Buddy is that, like he getsso excited that they're from Earth because the

Earthlings invented bowling. You invented bawland you'll be fucking great at this.
Yeah, Wols not so much,not so much, but yeah, I
think the whole magic, the mcguffinof it is fun. Seeing the bowling
ball kind of become a planet fora second, seeing the people that they
first that first lose get almost likeendgame dusted into the ball. I think

that's really cool. I also thinklike just jumping around it's being go special
everybody fuck off. The magic ofhow the Earth bowling Ball and the people
on Earth like interact with everybody isreally fun and yeah, just just kind

of like properly uh comedic for thisshow. I am curious, like what
happens to the world's once they're inthe case, Like do they cease to
exist? Are just not turning anymore? Is it end of days? Like
what's is it? Is it alike bottled city of candor thing? Maybe

Because like three giant holes appeared inthe Earth's surface, they were all
these like global earthquakes, Like itwas not a good day to be on
planet Earth. It wasn't. Andthere were news reports. There were news
reports. Yeah, and like nothing, nothing seems to have because it doesn't.

It's one of those things where it'sthis massive, like world ending event
that doesn't ripple through any of theother shows. I know. So it
must be just like immediate amnesia,like that's part of the alien magic.
They're so powerful, they're so powerfultreasure. They're from somewhere. Maybe they're
not even maybe New Genesis and Apocalypseis too small. Maybe it's too small.
Maybe it's somewhere else we haven't evenheard of. Yeah, they're from

outside the multiverse. Who knows.Anyway, I don't know. It's gonna
be a short episode where at theship log like there's not too much and

do like the idea that like Spooneraccidentally challenges them because they're just being jerks,

stuff in this episode. And oneof those things is that like her foster
dad took her to League night everyevery week as like a means of helping
her feel like she belongs somewhere.I really like that. That's really nice.

see her like the minute she goesup to bowls, she's like she's sniffing
the boards and she's like, oh, there's a dip on sixteen, you

She's basically she's reading the lane likea golfer reads the green or whatever.

yeah, so she's she's the pro. Sarah is an assassin, so she's

time, and then when she doesstart to play as bad and Mick has

it skips four lanes over but likeit's not going well. I mean he
does manage to knockdown pins. Yes, he does contribute to their score.
Although eventually, how bad must thePinkillers actually be if two of the legends
are terrible? This is my question. Is it just that other alien worlds

like bowling is so far into themthat they're that bad, And like the
pin Killers it is far into themtoo. They've just been doing it for
a little while, so they're okay. Like I was like, well,
they must be getting strikes every time. They're not. They're not, no,
although one of them seems to getspares most of the time. M
It's like that was her name.But they're doing okay. Yeah, it's
not it's not great. It's notgreat. So like Sarah and Spooner must

actually be getting strikes every single time, like they're bowling a three hundred.
Yeah, thank god. Meanwhile,though, on Earth, dealing with all
the Shenanigans of being a bowling ball, we've got Natansari sorry at one point,
oh to be the Shenanigans of beinga bowling ball. So this is
like back when they had established thisweird like twenty four hour rule for yeah,

I forgot this. I forgot too, because in season seven it's not
twenty four hours. Well, youhave to understand, the time is cement,
so it takes a while to hearten. I assume is we're twenty four
hours came from I don't I wonderif it came from like when they were
both out in the world and likeit took twenty four hours for bay Rods
to start feeling the effects maybe orsomething. So yeah, like she's got

twenty four hours out in the worldand they're spending it camping for whatever reason.
For yeah, with with this awfulcouple that the woman just says rock
and roll for like the first actof this whole thing, Jesus Christ's so
annoying. After the fourth time,Oh it's terrible. I mean, like,
I know they're supposed to be,like they're awful people. Yeah,
at least he is, but it'sstill just like Jesus Christ. It does

get to a point where like they'rewith this awful couple, all their ship
dies, they all have to walkinto town or whatever and try to find
batteries and get a charge or whatever. But Zari is talking to the woman
and the other couple and it's justlike like it brings up this thing of
like, well, if you guysare spending this much time apart and you're

fine with it, like should youactually be to like do you do you
need each other if you can spendthat much time apart? Which I think
is an interesting question to raise forfor them at this point. Yeah,
I think so too, And obviouslyit does like play into Sorry's attitude for
the rest of the episode, wherelike she talks about it like how do

they really care for each other theway that they think they do, or
really need each other if they areable to spend time apart and not have
it affect their relationship. I thinkthat some people can make long distance work.
Yes, and clearly they can clearly, especially because it's not so much
long distance as it is like circumstance, like this is the situation that we're

going If we want to be together, we have to deal with it.
So they do. Yeah, that'sa good point. And that's that's kind
of more or less what they cometo. I forget what they actually say

much like, well, I guessit's the b story technically, and the
story is the Avias stuff. Butyeah, like it's it's funny because like
this is an odd storyline. It'slike, this is a very weird thing

to be happening alongside this bowling thing. But also like I like that it
ties in, like they have twoof the legends out in the world to
actually see the effects that the bowlingthing, like like you said, being
in a bowling ball is having onthe world. So like they're in Alaska,
which is where one of the bigholes is opened up. And one
of my favorite parts of the episodeis so like Nate accidentally grabs Spooner's bag

which has like MRIs and weapons andstuff in it yea, and they end
up it ends up having this giantgun and they like so like they see
the finger Mike, the Strike's fingeryeah, over the sky and they're like,
what's that a finger? And thenthey end up shooting it and then

that ends up being like what helpsthem get lower scores, like because he
drops the ball or whatever. Ialso like the line like is it just
me or is that cloud but kindof like Mike, Yeah, as Mike
is like I in the ball likeGosha's Earth or whatever. Yeah, No,
I like that too. Again,it's great to see them, It's
great to see them having fun.It's funny to me that they're like they're

kind of all on mission when whenship's going down, then like camping is
not romantic at all. And theminute they're back on the wave rider is
when they start making out for asecond before bay Rodd interrupts, Yeah,
I don't understand why you would gocamping. No, of course, that
you've got one day you could goanywhere, don't go camping. He was

gonna bring donuts though in fair Tales, like it was gonna be nice.
But yeah, anyway, r Cand C minus storylines, So avon Gary
is the first one, which Iactually think is very cute. Yeah.
I like them like just hanging outtrying to pick out a wedding dress.
I think it's cute. I likeseeing them alone like this far removed from

time Bureau days. But I wouldlike to think that Ava has better fashion
sense or her instincts than what sheis being led through in this episode.
She winds up with all the likepeeps in her hair and like everything,
the little owls and birds in theveil. Yeah, I thought the owls
and birds were adorable. They're terriblefor your wedding, but they're adorable.

No, I think she has betterfashion sense, but I also think that
she's really nervous about getting married,and so when Gary's like telling her these
are bad decisions, she's second guessingeverything. How many acting days do you
think Jess spent on this episode?On this episode, I would say she's
spent two. I think so too, because she's in three locations and the

bridge shot. Those are always thehardest because they've got the screen going no,
because they've got so much coverage becauseit's like four or five people.

little relationship beats in this episode though, making Spooner, Yes, that's the

best part of the episode is makingSpooner. I love it so much he
doesn't want to take his gloves off. I like too that when these they
you know, their magic didn'to theirbowling uniforms. And whatnot. He's got
a long sleeve shirt underneath there,Like it's almost like the Aliens. We're
like, well, he'll be morecomfortable with this, you know, it's
what would they be comfortable and wellit's this, Yeah, he'll want to

first time we've seen this in awhile. But he shows a little bit

for everyone to see. I thinkit's interesting that they put the scars on
because it's also a means of coveringhis tattoos. Oh, that's funny.
I never thought about it. Solike, they don't have to put the

scar makeup on because he's always wearinglong sleeves and loves to hide as scars.

frankly that all actors are tatted upand they're all just being covered like well

why do I love make worry somuch? But it's like he's gruff

character is still here for a reason, Like he does feel that he belongs

I've mentioned this previously, but likehe has no interesting relationships with any
of the other men ever on theshow, but he has really great relationships

end of season six is last season, we're building up a relationship with spooner
or two or at least you know, just like putting something in writing about

them too, write like they canconnect in ways, because like they're both

So one of the things that Ilike, I mentioned this in an
earlier episode, but one of thethings I like is the way that they
do magic as a drug in thisseason, because like, obviously, if
you watch any show that has magic, you've seen magic as a drug,

like multiple times. It's on Buffy, I think it's on Charmed, like,
it's everywhere. And I think thatthis show does one of the best
jobs of magic as a drug thatI've seen, because it's not just that
magic itself is the drug, it'sthat he is actually taking a magic I
think it's like vampire blood. Yeah, do we ever say that? That's
my I think that's what he's toldthat it is, or that's what it

gets talked about when he gets thewhen he like sells the portrait of Alister
Crowley for all of this, right, So I think it's it's vampire like

like about the way they do thisis that he's Jones ing he's also obviously

don't. They don't immediately catch on, like they do catch on eventually.

it's yes, early on you don't, which is how we get to that

there at this point because it's justlike he's so reckless, he's so he's
so open about the use of themagic at least that it's like there's something

wrong going on, right, Likehe's using magic when he doesn't need to
use magic right exactly, which isnot usually his go to because match takes
work. Yeah exactly. So yeah, so that part of the John thing
is interesting. And then he alsolike performs this weird spell with all the
elements and gets them to Earth andit takes them to galaxy Alians and they're
all like, what the fuck?Yeah, I think it's fine. Favorite
little relationship beats in this episode though, making Spooner, Yes, that's the

best part of the episode is makingSpooner. I love it so much he
doesn't want to take his gloves off. I like too that when these they
you know, their magic didn'to theirbowling uniforms. And whatnot. He's got
a long sleeve shirt underneath there,Like it's almost like the Aliens. We're
like, well, he'll be morecomfortable with this, you know, it's
what would they be comfortable and wellit's this, Yeah, he'll want to

cover up. Yeah. So yeah, he's got that long sleeve shirt on
under his bowling shirt and he's wearinghis gloves. Yeah, and it's the
first time we've seen this in awhile. But he shows a little bit
of his his hand scars to Spoonerand does the like, my scars aren't
for everyone to see. I thinkit's interesting that they put the scars on
because it's also a means of coveringhis tattoos. Oh, that's funny.
I never thought about it. Solike, they don't have to put the

scar makeup on because he's always wearinglong sleeves and loves to hide as scars.
But it's actually tattoos. It's actuallytattoos. That's smart. I assume
frankly that all actors are tatted upand they're all just being covered like well
season one, Yeah, Batwoman,it's so weird to me what they chose
to cover and whatnot, Like thatshe has like stuff on her neck that
you can completely see despite all themakeup. Yeah, they like faded out

her like heartbeat EKG tattoo, butthey also I think the tattoos they ended
up covering are ones that have likeexisting ip because she has like a Ninja
Turtles tattoo on her arm. Ohyeah, but yeah, it's funny to
watch it and be like, shehas more tattoos than that. I was
like speaking of charm, the inconsistencyof covering up sometimes covering up the sisters

tattoos and sometimes being like, don'tknow, they haven't where six arms,

I thought it was cute. It'sthe first time we've really reached back from
mixed like origin story, you know. While yeah, and of course Spooner

there's this like I think Mike hasbecome not so much a punchline, but

Rebecca Silver novels. But there's alsothis idea like he's actually a person and
he's got these like this baggage andpart of it exactly those scars, and
that's why he doesn't want to takehis loves off, which makes him worse
at bowling. And so Spooner's like, hey, I think I have a
way for you to do both.It's the whole thing too, where Ken,
why do I love make worry somuch? But it's like he's gruff

and he hates it and he's drunkor whatever. He's still here, Yeah,
just for the rest of the season, mind you, But but the
character is still here for a reason, Like he does feel that he belongs
here, and like there's damn thatyou have to understand as they are in
order to kind of belong on thisthis ship and outside of anyone else's time

or whatever. I also love theway that Mick gets written over the years.
I've mentioned this previously, but likehe has no interesting relationships with any
of the other men ever on theshow, but he has really great relationships
with the other women on the show. Yep, and here at the ass
end of season six is last season, we're building up a relationship with spooner
or two or at least you know, just like putting something in writing about

them too, write like they canconnect in ways, because like they're both
blunt. Yeah, exactly, Yeah, anyway, it's really cute. It's
cute to me that she figures outthe like let's just cut the few fingers,
the three fingers off with the glovesthat he just do? Yeah exactly.

everybody else fits the tone, theyreally do, but she's evolved through it.
Do you have in another earth?Could you have imagined a version of
the show where, like at theend of season eight, she leaves and
then we get a season nine andor ten without her. I want to

say that if she left there wouldbe no more show. I do too.
I know that that's that's it's notnecessary for a show like this,
but I don't think I could pickanother character that could be the like the
the crux of where the you know, what the story turns on the way
that she has been I just don'tknow what they would have done. I

like like Buffy or whatever, like, well, if Sarah Michelle Geller leaves,

the end, the showrunners pitched aversion of season seven that wouldn't have are

Sarah Lance's Legends of Tomorrow, right, but it's like, I really don't
Once she's off that ship, Ithink we wrap up this story, you
know, right. I mean ifthis were like season one and two maybe
and Sarah de started to leave,then maybe you could have hung it off

got rid of him basically in seasontwo. Yeah, and it was fine.

here alone in my apartment buy myselfwatching this going like, why is this

I feel like I think that sooften watching this show, like why is
