8 Scientific Elements of Wisdom with Dr_ Laura Gabayan

Dr. Laura Gabayan is a world-renowned highly published physician researcher who scientifically defined wisdom in her book, Common Wisdom. She interviewed 60 wise individuals ages 50-79 years across North America and arrived at the 8 elements of wisdom. Her book is fascinating, insightful, and concise.   I suffered numerous health challenges that caused me to question my traditional teachings. The only individuals who have a wider lens through which they see the world are the wise. I found that the content on wisdom was subjective and anecdotal. For this reason, I interviewed 60 wise individuals across North America and scientifically defined wisdom as 8 elements. Common Wisdom describes these 8 elements.  She emigrated to the US at the age of 6 and attended UCLA for all her schooling. Beginning in 2014, Dr. Gabayan focused on deeper questions surrounding the meaning of life and wisdom. She found that in the past, the age-old topic of wisdom was approached anecdotally and subjectively. She then created The Wisdom Research Project where she interviewed 60 wise individuals across North America.
