All right, we are in our series right, uh, making
decision We talking about making decisions all month long, right
and we holly.

Speaker 2 (00:57):
Y'all know we always got decisions. Then we have to
on the time you.

Wake up igamorning, you have decisions. What am I gonna well,
what am I gonna eat?

Speaker 2 (01:06):
Where? What am I gonna do? Where am I going?
What time I need to be there? Who going with me?
Who ain't going with me? Who wanna go with me?

You know, we got decisions that we are making on
a regular basis.

Speaker 2 (01:20):
Everything acting up cause you're gonna have to keep up
with this. I can make sure that sound is working.

Right, alright, And so I have a couple of verses
that I want to read and share with us on today.
And so one of the reasons why I believe that
this is so very important for us as we are.

We're gonna read a couple of verses of scripture today,
and I want to deal with some things that.

Maybe we might be like, well, I don't know, right,

We're gonna start out in Daniel, chapter one and verse eight,
and then this is our highlight scripture, right, this is
our memory verse.

And today I wanna hit you real hard today. I
wanna hit you hard those of you that will watch it.

Don't wanna hit you hard today? Okay? And it says,
but that ain't your results might say results that he
would not to follow himself with the keeps food or
with the wine that he drank. Therefore, he asks the
chief of the units to allow him not to define himself. Listen,
we are in a time where you have to make

the choice that it doesn't matter.

What everybody else is doing.

When you know what God has said to you, you
follow what God saying.

Speaker 2 (02:59):
Come on, when you know what God ever said to you? Right.
And so we are in a.

Speaker 1 (03:04):
Time where people are making choices. They're choosing about, you know,
our who's gonna get married, Who am I gonna marry,
Who I'm not gonna get married to?

Speaker 2 (03:13):
How many kids do I wannas? I want my life
to be full. I want to have a fulfilled life.

Speaker 1 (03:19):
Today, I wanna talk to us about taking our life back.

Speaker 2 (03:24):
And you know why we need to deal with that,
because it shs like everything around us has taken hold
of our lives.

Speaker 1 (03:31):
Everything else around us has taken control of our lives.
How we're gonna do whatever it is. We're gonna do
everything that's been told us. And here is Daniel in
a prisoner situation.

Speaker 2 (03:46):
And he chose to take his life back that even
though there with things that were being.

Speaker 1 (03:51):
Given to him, he chose to still obey God. And
so if you gonna take your life back today, right,
because many of us.

Speaker 2 (04:01):
We have given our life over to other people.

Speaker 1 (04:04):
We have given our life over and then to our times.

Speaker 2 (04:07):
We love our times. Come on.

Speaker 1 (04:10):
Many of us have given our lives over to the
people that we are living in our houses. It could
be our children, it could be our spouses. Right, we
have given our lives to everything. And then when God
comes calling for us, and then we have to make
the choice about how much to ourselves we want to
give to God. We're always peace building ourselves to God ours.

And then haney lujah. So we want to come away
from that. Okay, you might say this up, I'm got
great relationships.

Speaker 1 (04:43):
Don'tant to have more money. I want my ministry to
be a blessing. I want my ministry to be meaningful.

Right.

Speaker 1 (04:50):
I wanna live my life and love my life while
the rest.

Speaker 2 (04:54):
Of the world is out here struggling. Somebody says, struggling.
Do you know what the world is struggling right now?

Speaker 1 (05:00):
Yeah, they're struggling watching the stock market.

Speaker 2 (05:03):
They're struggling because they don't know what in the world
is gonna come out of the White House in the
next five minutes, right, We.

Speaker 1 (05:11):
Don't know what's happening, and so people are struggling.

Speaker 2 (05:15):
They're struggling with their relationships, struggling.

Speaker 1 (05:19):
With their families, and feeling empty because they're giving their
lives to everything else but God. And Danny saying, I
don't care where I am physically, I'm giving myself to God.
I'm canding what's going around me, going on around me.
I'm giving myself to God. Okay, now, let me tell yourself.

One of the bigga's gonna make you successful. One of
the bigga's gonna help you to take your life back.
It's not you being more intelligent. It's not you fixing
your appearance, right, it's not you being more talented. You
have got to make a good choice. This is where
we find ourselves having because from the time we wake

up in the morning until the time we lay down
at night, the sum total of our choices sometimes leaves
us feel an empty. Come on, how many times have
you made choices and you can record them? Yeah?

Speaker 2 (06:16):
Love a little bit, a little bit. We see people
who are online on social media.

Speaker 1 (06:24):
They look like they're smart, but they're miserable because they
made bad choices. We see talented people who are full
of talent, but they.

Speaker 2 (06:32):
Broke because they made bad choices. Right. We see attractive people.

Speaker 1 (06:37):
Who marry the wrong president, right, and they are miserable
in their relationships because they.

Speaker 2 (06:43):
Made the wrong choices.

Speaker 1 (06:46):
Right. What is the difference here? They all walls down
to our decisions, might say.

Speaker 2 (06:50):
Decisions us. Come on here, amen, now, I gotta, I gotta.

Speaker 1 (06:56):
I got a poster up there and they're talking about
quality decisions.

Speaker 2 (06:59):
Can you get up here for me? Please? Quality decisions? No,
that's direction. Here we go.

Speaker 1 (07:11):
A God honoring life isn't based on a few big decisions,
but on thousands upon thousands of smaller, daily, one daily
what decisions. The quality of your decisions is gonna be
call the quality of your life.

Speaker 2 (07:28):
Just because you say if Jesus live on inside, I
mean that doesn't mean that you still make all the
right choices.

Speaker 1 (07:35):
Come on, because you can still miss the opportunity to
make the right decisions.

Speaker 2 (07:41):
We're gonna talk.

Speaker 1 (07:41):
About how we make the wrong decisions because we have
a lot of factors that get in the way of
us making good choices. Sometimes it's how we feel that
gets in a way all of us making the right choice.

Speaker 2 (07:55):
You can know that you should choose to say something
that's way too much time. Thank you.

I believe he's gonna be eaven two hours off there.
Oh yeah, how did they go?

Speaker 2 (08:08):
Yeah? Okay, So what is our problem? We're not good
decision makers.

Speaker 1 (08:14):
You're annointed, you have a great brand life, but you
gonna make good choices. How many times have you got
another you said you don't what I'm gonna take this
money and I'm gonna go anna pay these bills, and
I'm gonna do this, and I'm gonna do that, And
then what happens You look back when you got.

Speaker 2 (08:28):
Five dollars left. Come on, it's tax time. Can I
talk about it? Yes?

Speaker 1 (08:35):
Because we always say we always staying and laughing. We
always say, I'm gonna get my taxes and this is
what I'm gonna do. I'm gonna put aside.

Five hundred dollars.

Speaker 1 (08:48):
I'm only go buy twenty dollars. Take twenty dollars a
doll get their shoes.

Speaker 2 (08:52):
You know you ain't gonna get no good shoes twenty
dollars hours.

Speaker 1 (08:55):
Right, y'all know these sneakers, these sneaking heads in this church.
Come on, head, let me tell you this church you
like secrets. Let me tell you something. How do these
people in the church love some sneakers and they're staying

over one hundred dollars other pair of sneakers?

Come on, that's not.

Speaker 1 (09:24):
A good choice. We're not good decision makers. Listen, we
pray about everything. But have you prayed about your decisions?

Speaker 2 (09:34):
Not after you make them, but before you make the
come on before. It's easy to be sorry after the bag.
But what about you know we.

Always say hindsight is twenty twenty or honey, ForSight is
twenty twenty two.

If you think first, pray First, we sit down to

I'm not gonna eat too much food. Next thing, you know,
you're getting up for thirds. I ain't saying he said.
And first, come on, we buy things that we can't afford.

Yeah, where these people are online?

Cause these people here in the sexuary looking at black
and purple and y'all somebody don't line say, man.

Speaker 2 (10:28):
Come on here and man, we buy things we can't afford.
You know you.

And you'll tell yourself I can make that. You make

We say things that we regret because we don't pray people.
If we start choosing our words, how many of you
had said something you would sorry about it?

That ain't never happened to nobody here? Everybody choose, listen,

Cause when I say choices, truly, it all comes down
to your decisions.

And what do we do.

We end up hurting the people that we love the most,
right because we're not good decision makers.

But can I tell you that there is a revity
for that. You don't have to.

Live in, that you don't have to stay in, that
you don't have to always be a bad choice maker.
Come on, ain't somebody just because you made a bad
choice yesterday, I gonna be proking a bad choice today.

Don't go to the drop through and get a double

Know you want three fries to that. And then you
gotta have a good old coke. The barn down, so

got used to do the same thing. Pull to the
drop Ugh, Then you have a double walter, double me
and a large five and a dying coke? What that

And you see the sign when you cough up, He
tells you this three thousand calories.

Speaker 2 (13:05):
And you're telling yourself you want to a diet. Wait
with a eight hundred calorie day, you.

Speaker 1 (13:12):
Don't do yourself up water for two days. So you
say tomorrow the bags pray off your food. Le few calories.
We're gonna cast the devil out of the calories.

Come on, here, mad decisions? Why do we make? Why
do we struggle making good decisions?

Speaker 1 (13:40):
Why? Because number one, we're overwhelmed. We're overwhelmed. And because
we're overwhelmed, we don't stop to think. Somebody say stop
to thinks.

Okay, listen, statistics say we.

Speaker 1 (13:53):
Made thirty five thousand decisions a day.

Speaker 2 (13:56):
That's a lot of choices. And you don't even realize
that you're making that many choice.

Speaker 1 (14:00):
You listen while you driving down the road and you
following the GPS.

Speaker 2 (14:03):
You made the choice, Am I gonna follow the GPS?

Speaker 1 (14:05):
Or am I gonna go.

Speaker 2 (14:06):
The wad because the toys tracking? Come on, you supposed
to call somebody back. You didn't call them back. Why
do is something else happened? So you made a choice
not the call. Come on, you ches to hit the snooze.
But until ain't thirty we've been talking about that, So
you gotta understand none sick.

Speaker 1 (14:28):
All day long, you are making choices off what's gonna wear, what.

Speaker 2 (14:31):
You gonna eat, Where am I gonna go, Who I'm
going with? Who going with me? Come on?

Speaker 1 (14:36):
You get there to your house at the end of
the day, and we big.

Speaker 2 (14:40):
Watched Netflix, Jesus and you lose two hours of time,
scroll and take time. Come on, I'm that's still a bad.

Speaker 1 (14:50):
Choice, right, And you know why I've been guilty cause
my hand be down to my phone. I don't hear
nothing going on around me. Me. You're in the bone, everybody,
Come on, engage in our devices.

Speaker 2 (15:06):
Come on, what would we do if we put our
bones down and have real conversation? Can I tell you?
Social media it's not real. It's not real.

Speaker 1 (15:23):
That stuff that I'm gonna put this in words, that's
the real virtual reality. Right. We know that there are
real people putting things up online, but it's not our reality.
It's something that stuff ain't their reality. We are choosing
things based up of what we've seen other people do

and happy that stuff ain't even real. We make choices
that change our life over something we see online or
of a snapshot or something that happened to somebody in
one day, and you're thinking, man, they doing amazing and
you gonna load of struggle.

So he says, if your life is gonna honor God,
you gonna have to choose somebody say shoes, shoes, All
right now, I wouldna.

Broke another one of these versus the scripture, because I
got scriptures everywhere.

Can you give me prop up sixteen, verses three and nine,
You can just call up proverb sixteen.

Let's look this in the scripture.

Propab Shatter sixteen, verse three says, commit your work to
the Lord and.

Your plans will be established.

Speaker 1 (16:37):
I know you smart, I know, and then you know
how to put things together. But you've gotta learn how
to commit your plans to the Lord. Everything that you're doing,
give it to God.

Speaker 2 (16:50):
Somebody say, give it to God, because what you're not
factoring in is the warfare that it's gonna take for
you to get done. What you're trying to do talking
about the things that you want to do with this
warfare to accomplish, right, And so that's why.

Speaker 1 (17:06):
You've got to commit your work to the Lord so
that God can establish your plans.

Speaker 2 (17:12):
I know, that we go to, you know, leadership trainings
and they don't to strategize it. And they give you
five points to.

Speaker 1 (17:18):
A successful life and all this other stuff, but they
not telling you about the warfare involved to get you
from point A to point B. Change in your mind,
be deliberate about your choices. Grow into God first. That's
why I always pray Lord. W you're pray, you say, Lord,
commit our way up to you. Trust also you also,

and you and you'll breathing past. That's this, Commit your
way into the Lord. Trust in him and he will
bring it to past. You know why we make bad
decisions because we think that the bringing the past.

Part is our job. It's not your job to bring
the past. God's world over your life. It's Gods God.

He will establish you if you commit.

Speaker 2 (18:03):
Your way to him. And then what is worse? First
mind say it says the harper man plans his way,
but the Lord.

Establishes his sex. I'm gonna read this to you. In
the Expanded Bible. It says people may make plans in
their minds, in their human hearts, they plant their path,
but the Lord decides what they will do, and he
establishes their steps. You know what this tells me that
you can say you're gonna do what you wanna do,
and then God say no, when you did not connamit

It's so hard when you're making choices to do stuff
because God is not in them choices. God needs to
be in your choices, anybody. If you can't say it,
they say, I'll.

Because this is our reality how they hold you are.

Yeah, let's look at Psalm twenty five and four. If
you're looking at something twenty five before in.

know your ways on, Lord, teach for your path. And
if y'all have a ready of these versus a description?
Did you even know that that was in there? Now?
Do you go to it before you make a choice? Lord,
I have this choice that I need to make. Make

The Expanded Bible says, Lord, tell me or make me
to know your ways, Show me and teach me how
to live in your path?

My flesh is desired to do what it wants to do.

Because my flesh shakes are so smart, anybody else in
here gotta be fleshed. Do your flesh shake you so smart?

They think it already knows. And so this is why
I gotta come to God and say, Lord, make.

Because I have a bad I got a bad habit
to make it a bad choice.

And sometimes it's not on purpose. Sometimes it's because we're
what over? Well, but I gotta do this, I gotta
do that.

I go here, I got there, But you gotta stip
what you're doing and ask God which.

Way should I go? What do you want me to do?
I don't want to end up in a ditch.

The Bible says, if the blind even blind, where they going?

And d you know why we're blind because we didn't
go to God and say, made me to know your way.
Show me there's a song we used to see. Show
me you always that I may walk.

Well, say it, But we don't do it.

We don't go to God and ask him to show
us his way.

You need his rays.

So just take a break right here. This heel that

hands on yourself, say self. Learn to ask God for help,
learn to ask God for direction.

You know what happened to us When we are faced
with so many decisions, we get decision fatigue.

Speaker 2 (21:50):
I didn't have the experience, I didn't had to do that,
I had to do.

Speaker 1 (21:53):
That, and so whatever, I don't care, so that we
may hat has a decision because we're tired. Oh, they
get decisions. Couple say, hey, you're like, man, you gonna
get it after. You gotta get it in God. You
gotta get it in God.

Speaker 2 (22:09):
Okay. So as we have to keep making decisions. As
we are swamping decisions, the quality of your choices decreases.

Speaker 1 (22:20):
You stop it. It's a cognitive and that when you're
caught it or having to choose, you choose not to choose.
And your lack of choosing is a choice. Yeah, lack
of choosing is a choice because you didn't choose to
make the right choice.

You didn't go to gods that make me to know
your wage.

Speaker 1 (22:44):
Some of us are making major moves without seeking God
because you don't know what's down with wrong.

It may not have cost you much now, but it's
it may cost you much lagers.

Okay, so you might say you know, and then let's
talking about this, like go last week it was consistency.

Are you consistently going to God and asking him? You
can't just ask him one time?

his way, and I did what I was supposed to.

Third week, are ye ill blew it all over a
pocket book?

Come on, so you gotta think, don't make a dumb
choice and move on an impulse. How you feeling, Let's
talk about some of the things when we talk about emotions.
Don't go in the stories when you're feeling bad, just
like they tell you, don't go grocery shop and when
you're hungry, because now you're going to go in there
and trying to gratify your flesh the thing that you're

longing for, the thing that made you feel bad.

You say, if I just body this I'm feel better.
Have you ever gone in.

The dollar store and spend fifty dollars in the dollar store?

Because we're not looking at what we're choosing? What just
a dollar? But if you got fifty of those says?

Speaker 1 (24:19):
And then what's swung with us that when we get
to the register and we see how much everything comes
to pride makes us reach any.

Speaker 2 (24:26):
Grandma that card, it's not the same. Put it at
anybody in the room. Come on, I can't believe behind it.
I don't need this because I need to ask God
to make me to know his ways. Then then I
feel bad because the things.

Speaker 1 (24:45):
That I needed to do with that money.

Speaker 2 (24:47):
I can't do with that money because I hate a dunk.

Speaker 1 (24:50):
Joy I didn't she God, you gotta pray before you
go in the store. So I say, pray before you
go shopping, shopping pride. Don't let nobody drag you to
the store tomorrow. Oh, come on, get out the house.
It's gonna feel bad.

Speaker 2 (25:05):
Let's go to the store now. Ah, if I'm going
on leaving my daddy going home, a man leave every day.
I just got my idea. And make sure you don't
got nothing on apple cause you don't move come on,

we need God in our decisions.

The Five Foolish Virgins chows to show up without oil.

They chose to not prepare. That's some of us. We're
choosing to not prepare, all right.

So number one we're overwhell Number two were afraid of
that getting the wrong choice.

Speaker 2 (25:51):
I'm gonna miss God. So you freeze? You got analysis paralysis?
You know what that is?

Speaker 1 (26:02):
Holy?

Speaker 2 (26:02):
If I should do this, I don't know why I
should do this. What's gonna happen if I do this?
What's wherever I gonna say it? Why do this? Ain't
gonna be mad? Anybody do this?

You just like thinking, thinking, thinking, thinking, thinking, and you
think so much that you don't do anything because you're
so afraid of making a choice that you don't.

Choose instead of going to God. Can I tell.

You listen, we all faced this, and sometimes you're gonna
feel like, you.

Know, my God, I'm gonna take that risk. Oh my God,
I'm gonna do this.

But if you're seeking God, if you're looking to God
for how to make decisions, shouldn't this be your girlfriend
your boyfriend?

Shouldn't this be the job you should take? Shouldn't this
be the place that you should go.

Let me take something. People call and they ask can
you come? Everybody who asks me to come somewhere.

I say yes, I do not you know why because
it ain't God's will.

And sometimes people want one thing, but they don't really
want God.

You gotta be able to ask your saf Is this
what God wants you to do? Make me to know
your ways. I'll care what somebody asks for. I gotta
