Now for this episode, we're headinginto week eight. The Areen Football League

season is almost over already, we'realready getting into playoffs as far as talking
about the playoff format and the bracket, so I'll have that in my news
updates as well. So the AFLjust released the playoff format one, so
we'll break that down in just thesecond, but really quickly, I do
want to go over the games beforeI forget. Here's the game slated for

week eight. So first we gotthe Washington Wolfpack at the Buildings Outlaw that's
on June fifteenth at seven pm Easterntime, so all these times are Eastern
time. Orlando Predators on June fifteenth, Orlando Predators at the Albany Firebirds that's
at seven pm Eastern time. Salignof Liberty at the Wichita Regulators on June

fifteenth, seven pm. And thendo you got the Southwest Kansas Storm at
the West Texas Desert Hawks on Junefifteenth at eight pm as well. So
those are all of the games forWeek eight, all on a Saturday also,
so be sure to check those gamesout. Look like some good games
with a lot of a lot ofthese games will have some playoff implications tied

to it, so we'll break thatdown in just a second. Let's go
through one of our top stories aswell that we're still that's still developing in
the Arena Football League and it's circlingaround the West Texas Desert Hawks. So
former West Texas Desert Hawks head coachChris Siegfried announced he will no longer be

coaching for the West Texas Desert Hawks. So Seagfrey posted in a sense deleted
tweet on x he says, quote, my journey in West Texas has come
to an abrupt ending. I wantto think the Desert Hawks owner for this
opportunity. I wish I could havedone a better job to my players.
Keep fighting. You're a most talentedgroup in the AFL. I'll see you

at the Arena Bowl. And that'swhat he shared on his ex accounts.
They can go see that. Sonow, as of this week, there
are still no updates regarding that suddendeparture. Segfrey has been posting on his
ex accounts kind of hinting that there'smore to it, and you know,
because the Desert Hawks have yet toshare any information about it. Who's the
interim coach, if they're going tohave the assistant coach, they haven't said

anything. I know. I've reachedout to league officials and they said that
they're looking into the situation, sothey have no information about that. I
know. One local reporter says shereached out to the team and they I
guess they're handling this internally, Sonot sure what's really going on there.
So hopefully something will come out withmore details about that, but again West
(04:21):
Texas doesn't. Hawks are scheduled toplay this Saturday, and that's against the
Southwest Kansas Storm and Dees at Hawkswill be home. This is eight pm,
so we'll be all checking that outto see who's leading on the sidelines
there. So we'll see about that. Now on to some league news.
The Arena Football League announced its playoffformats, so their anticipation for the new

playoff format. It's beginning on Julysix, so that's just in a couple
of weeks, that's not too faraway. And here's how the format will
go. So the playoffs begin onJuly six and the semifinals will begin on
July thirteenth. Now the Arena Bowl, this is interesting. It will be
at a neutral site on July nineteenth, So this is quite interesting how this

is going to be set up.But the playoff pitch of how this is
going to work. The first roundwill be the number four seed hosting the
number five seed. The number oneseed will have a first round by so
they'll be in the semifinals, andthe number two and three seed will also
be in the semifinals. So we'regonna have one game in the playoff in
the first round in two games inthe second round. So of course,

after those two games in the secondround, those winners will meet in the
Arena Bowl. So the current playoffformat, if it were to start today,
the Orlando Predators will be hosting theSouthwest Kansas Storm. The number four
seed will be hosting the number fiveseed on July sixth. The winner of
that will play the number one seed, the Albany Firebirds on July thirteenth.

Of course, Albanty will host thatgame. The number two in three seed
also playing on July thirteen will bethe Billings Outlaws against the Saligne of Liberty,
so that those will be the semifinalmatchups there. Then the winner,
of course out of those games willgo to the Arenable And again Arenable is
at a neutral site that it hasyet to be announced. So it's a

lot of implications here, and I'mnot going to really break down too much
as far as you know, thetie break and all that and playoff implications,
because I think it'll be better tobreak that down after week eight.
But as we're looking right now,and you know, we can actually just
go through the standings. You know, I'm looking on the website now and

shout out to Arena Football League aswell. I do want to give them
their credit. About the new website. I haven't mentioned it. If you
haven't seen it already, go checkthat out. It's THEAFL dot com and
the new website redesigned is perfect.I think. I think it's simple.
Stats are updated, standings are updated. You're starting to see more news updates.
So sent G six Sports has takenover. They really have, you

know, they made that promise earlyon that they were going to be a
league of integrity and really wanted tobe transparent with the fans. So I'm
already kind of seeing those those stepsbeing taken. So here's a look at
the standings right now. So youhave the Albumy Firebirds seven and zero,

Buildings Outlaws five and one, SalinaLiberty four and two, or Lando Predators
three and two, Southwest Kansas Stormfour and three, Nashville Cats three and
four, West Texas Desert Hawks threeand four. What guitar regulators one in
four in the Washington wolf Pack onein five. Now they want to mention
the Nashville Cats. I didn't mentionthis earlier. Nashville Cats will be on

a bye week. Now They're goingto be on a bye week for the
next two weeks. So I've alreadyseen a comment about that from some fans
who feel like that this is adisadvantage, and I think it's a fair
concern. So I'll reach out toleague officials about that, about the scheduling
and why they are on back toback bye weeks and how that could affect
their playoff chances. Right because rightnow you're talking about some they are at

three and four, so they're inthe mix. It's not like they're out
the playoff pitcher, right, Sothey're kind of close with Solino Orlando in
Southwest Kansas, and also West Texasdoes a Hawk, So I'm curious why
that is, so I'll reach outto the league about that. My best
guess is that it had something todo with the teams that folded. So
remember Nashville was in the East Divisionwith the Albany Firebirds and the Philadelphia Soul

and the Minnesota Myth. So theMinnesota Myth and Asoul are not in it.
So of course that just leaves Albanyin Nashville. But then also affected
is the Orlando Predators in the WestTexas des a Hoss because they had the
Georgia Force in their division and theLouisiana Voodoo in their division. But Orlando
had a lot of home games scheduledagainst Georgia and Louisiana. So my guests,

just from looking at the schedule fromthe original schedule and the current schedule,
I'm guessing that they were doing alot of shifting around making sure each
team gets a fair balance of games. So I'll sit down and look more
into it, but I will reachout to the league to know more officially
