God in the mighty name of Jesus, I thank you, Amen, Amen, Amen.

Speaker 3 (03:15):
Oh yeah, we ready to get after it.

Speaker 2 (03:16):
No, ready, now we've ready. Now we got Miss South
Carolina in the house. So Miss Busty tell me this.

Speaker 3 (03:26):
How did you get started on this wonderful journey?

Speaker 4 (03:30):
Yah?

Speaker 5 (03:31):
Can say that again? This journey has taken multiple avenues.
There's no one turn. Because when I told God, I
want you to leave me, don't let it be of
my own will. Because I'm a very persistent person. If
I see a way, I'm gonna jump and I'm gonna
move or move until I can't anymore. I'm gonna exhaust
all my options. So I told God I needed to
move out away and in order for me to be successful,

(03:54):
I felt like I needed to be all him and
him do it. I even told him, give me a
new sound on a new stage. Per is new everything,
so that I know that it's you. And so in
twenty seventeen. He did just that at my aunt's funeral,
at my lowest moment, when I'm not even thinking about it.
He showed up then to show me, here's your sound,
here's your stage presence, and here I am. I'm answering

(04:16):
your question to get started. So that's when I started.
In a long story short, I had every every intention
of singing any other song from my aunt's funeral. Is
bad enough that she had left us pretty quick that weekend.
And then I heard the pastor and see, the enemy
is cunning, right, he's set you to make it think

(04:36):
that it's him because it looks good and it must
be God. Well, one of the songs that I had
in mind, he touched me and old him that I
was going to, you know, do my own way. The
pastor actually mentioned it during his sermon, and so I
was supposed to come behind him. I said, oh, okay,
well that's there's no coincidence that because he had no
idea that was one of my song choices. So I'm

(04:57):
gonna get up and saying that. Well, when I got up,
I got up and talked to my family, and I
opened up my mouth and think he touched me and
blessed assurance came out of stead and it was a
shock to me. First of all, I never sang that
song that him by its you know myself by myself.
I've heard it. I just recently learned the words, thinking

(05:17):
he is beautiful. But he gave me that, and so
ever since that moment, I said, I'm gonna absolutely be obeeding.
And when I say everything that I've done, it was
particularly ordained from meeting people from one person to the next,
lining up my steps from my first appearance, maybe I
shouldn't say apparents from the first time I stepped on

(05:37):
the stage. Is because God just granted favor. And that's
how the exact process has been for me. I don't
have I can't say this person did it. I talked
to this person, I called that one signed this and
signed that. It was just favor from one season to
the next.

Speaker 3 (05:53):
If I'm answering the question, that's that's the way he do.
He said, I'll open up windows of heaven and poor
all blesses. You won't have runer received. That's our daddy.
He looks at you.

Speaker 5 (06:04):
That's my daddy.

Speaker 3 (06:06):
Yeah, that's that's that's my daddy. Right now, you know
that's right. You know I hear I hear that in
your voice.

Speaker 2 (06:17):
I hear those the sound of miss Holiday and and
and ladies, you know from that era.

Speaker 3 (06:23):
You know when I'm when I'm hearing your voice, I'm like, okay.
She then went on back to the old school owners.

Speaker 5 (06:28):
Yeah, like all the time. I get that all the time.

Speaker 2 (06:33):
But for real, that's that's that sound, and and that
was a that was a unique sound in itself, you know.

Speaker 3 (06:39):
Uh So, so now tell me, now, tell me this.

Speaker 2 (06:43):
How has the journey been since you got started and
since you said yes, I'm totally committed to you.

Speaker 5 (06:50):
You know, I had to learn the hard way that
everybody smiles, right, everybody that smiles and say that for
you are not for you. And everybody says, hey, I
take your hand now, I'll show you the way. They
don't want to show you the way. They will cut
you off at your knees in a heartbeat. And so
I almost gave up, thinking I feel like I was
in a clique. I felt like this is popularity. I'm like,

(07:13):
am I in highspital? What is all this sabotageing? What
is all this throat cutting?

Speaker 3 (07:17):
What is all this.

Speaker 5 (07:17):
Rolling of the eyes. And my husband reminded me. Actually,
he said, oh no, you said you were doing this
because God called you to do it, and that you
look in your spirits, so I know you're not about
to sit here and say this person doing this and
this person doing it, you tie this. And I have
to remind myself that anything that God or dains, he
takes care of, and all you have to do is

(07:38):
staying your way. And so the worst of my challenge
has been learning how to maneuver around people, my very
own personal feelings. And someone try something shisty or whatever,
I just stand back and I watch God intervene. Immediately,
you know you're not gonna cut off. You know what
he has for you. It is for you. And so

(07:58):
instead of Sondra running her mouth and figuring it out
and then putting in your place because of what she
found out, I just shut up. And you thought you
just got over on me. You're thinking I don't know better.
But then God shows up and now you're standing there.

Speaker 3 (08:15):
He said, if you hold your peace, I'll fight your battle.

Speaker 5 (08:17):
He will fight, and you know, and that's hard for me.

Speaker 3 (08:19):
I'm a talker.

Speaker 5 (08:20):
I am a talker.

Speaker 3 (08:21):
Oh yeah, well, well, it's okay.

Speaker 6 (08:22):
I love talkers because seeing God's we won't we want
the whole school, you know, we won't, we want it all.
We want you to be free and talk straight before
your daddy because you know, because he knows us better
than anybody.

Speaker 5 (08:37):
That's right. That's right people.

Speaker 3 (08:41):
The song you know the city? How did how did
that song come about?

Speaker 5 (08:46):
I was sitting on my floor getting prepared to take
my daughter back to school. It just dropped in my spirit.

Speaker 3 (08:53):
That's what he do, just like that.

Speaker 5 (08:55):
There wasn't anything profound going on. He just gave it
to me. And the miraculous thing about it. When I
decided to say I'm going to record it, which is
some months later, I sang over the song and I said,
wait a minute, hold up, this is like a minute
or so. It's not even long enough. Should I score
it down? And I said this is not enough. I said, Lord,
I need one more. I need one more verse to

(09:20):
it before their run around, And just like that, he
dropped the third part of it. And when I say
like that, as soon as I said, Lord, I need
something else, he said, okay, start writing, and I started writing.
I had a whole third part to the song to
make it equivalent to enough time. And I just I said,
you know what, I'm definitely going to record this one
because I can't believe I was talut myself. So I

(09:41):
knew that that was a message that he went out,
because the idea behind the city is to remind those
to be convicted. And remember, he has gone, He has
gone to a pair of place. And the bad thing
about is we forgotten. And we get in church and
we hear about how to get money and cars and
husbands and why, and nobody's preaching revelation. No one is

(10:03):
preaching conviction. No one is preaching that the way is
of sin is death, but to get the God's eternal life.
So they're not even thinking about it anymore. Every now
and then you hear somebody say, oh, well it's used
to paper goal, or every now and then you may
have somebody put in there in one of their vamps,
you know, just the word here or there, but the
entire song. So I wong to bring conviction that he

(10:25):
is going to return.

Speaker 2 (10:27):
We watered we watered down praise, we watered down ministry,
you know, so much to where it's almost of no effect,
you know, and uh, you know for me when I write,
you know, I tell him myself.

Speaker 3 (10:41):
If it's not going to draw draw.

Speaker 2 (10:43):
People to you, you know, I don't even want to
sing it, you know. And uh uh, well I sing
country gospel music, you know, right, So one of these
days I'm gonna have to get you in on the
country song with mcgirl.

Speaker 5 (10:54):
Right. That's different. I'm thinking about that. That's different.

Speaker 3 (10:57):
I hear it in your voice, you know. Look, you
know so it ain't gonna be no big stretch. You know.
We you know we're gonna make it work, you know.

Speaker 2 (11:06):
So now so now tell me, okay, Well, first of all,
ladies and gentlemen, we're gonna let you hear the city
and U and I want because I want to bless
your soul and man.

Speaker 3 (11:16):
So so we'll be right back the city.

Speaker 7 (11:29):
I'll be.

Speaker 5 (11:32):
To the city.

Speaker 4 (11:36):
I'll be going what I do. That's the heather blood.

Speaker 7 (11:42):
I've been told I got the streets to go and
against the birl that's wild gas to the city.

Speaker 4 (11:49):
I've been sold the was the transfer in the sun.
I'll be going with. I don't away, I'll be there,
will you mean, I'll be talking to the swell. I

(12:12):
don't know me.

Speaker 2 (12:14):
Talking.

Speaker 7 (12:15):
Yeah, what I mean for heaven, I think you the
mold is any locks. I got my goal and my
crown up shoe and the way to the mascot.

Speaker 3 (12:32):
Yeah, said well to Seran.

Speaker 7 (12:35):
Come on in and take a bla. I'll be clamby going, whoa.

Speaker 4 (12:52):
I'll be talking. I'll be going over there in the city.

Speaker 7 (13:03):
What I've got my new name and I'm like, oh
s story of the drummers. I mean, I'll get graying
about my ladder when nuggets a man.

Speaker 4 (13:14):
Of the wainsty walk.

Speaker 7 (13:16):
I'm not not the came foreverfore see face will be early.

Speaker 4 (13:24):
I'll be going, yeah, the U wh whoa name, I'll
be going. I'll be going. I've been going right, I've
been going out to me. I'll be yeah, when the

(13:48):
crash the guy, I'll be going. I'm coming to the
s W the streets, the pay we go like simply
they got twelve.

Speaker 7 (14:04):
It's not a say, it's normal frying, normal mom dancing.

Speaker 3 (14:13):
You're coming back.

Speaker 7 (14:16):
You're looking for a shot, see that I'm gonna be.

Speaker 4 (14:24):
I'm gonna be. I wanna be.

Speaker 3 (14:58):
Oh, ladies and gentlemen, I know you and enjoyed that song.

Speaker 2 (15:01):
I know you enjoyed that praise, and I hope you're
getting ready for the city, okay, because look, it's either
the city or it's that other direction.

Speaker 3 (15:09):
And I don't think you're gonna go there, you know.

Speaker 2 (15:11):
So, But no, wait, wait, we got to get back
off in it because I wanted the rest of this,
the scupid this thing now. So, so where you headed
from here? What's your what's your what's your goal? What's
your dream from here?

Speaker 5 (15:24):
Oh?

Speaker 7 (15:25):
Man?

Speaker 2 (15:26):
I mean you know he talking to you. You know
he listens when you call an action him. So what
what what what you want to do for him next?

Speaker 5 (15:34):
I need to listen more, because to be honest with you,
I'm gonna be one hundred percent honest. I got so
busy and so confined with life and everything else until
I became deaf. Hm. I became deaf to the word,
to my God's voice. And I only hear bits and
pieces as I'm traveling here and straveling here, and kids
need my husband, even I need it. This is you
know whatever?

Speaker 7 (15:55):
And so.

Speaker 5 (15:57):
As a lady, I said, Lord, I had an interview
with someone else who brought something to my attention, and
I said, Lord, I have confound it. You know, I
put him into a box of where he's where. He's
calling my ministry to me, and I'm thinking I should
probably be on the platform here and maybe in the
four walls here, and then that's it. But then he
has opened my horosing and say, listen, I know you're

(16:20):
not just thinking about theme and fashion, because there's people
in the hospital that need to hear your ministry. I
want to deliver in the hospital, and then you have
people in the nursing home and even in the prison systems.
And then I said, well, I thought about asking and saying, okay,
well here's a play, all right. You know, I called
the lady to say, you know, next time you're doing
your play, I will be interested in audition. She said,

(16:41):
you called it perfect time. I know exactly who you are.
We would love to add your voice. This a voice,
And I was like, what, I almost didn't even call you.
I was just looking at So I feel in this
my spirit that God just wants to change things up
and shake it up and give me a different horizon.
Because we were told to go out in the highway
and five ways. Not you subjecting him to four walls

(17:05):
for the steeple or are some kind of a platform.
So listen, I'm about doing. I want to go wherever
he's gonna send me.

Speaker 3 (17:13):
I might even question.

Speaker 5 (17:14):
I'm gonna let him line it up.

Speaker 2 (17:15):
You know, I've always did my ministry like this. What
I will do at the Praise Factor Award show, I
do it at the nursing home. I don't give them
no less than I would give no wards platform because
God is in every place.

Speaker 3 (17:35):
That's right, you know. And and I'm going to tell
you something else I've learned.

Speaker 2 (17:42):
Uh, the people out here in the world that's healthy
and good, strength and all of it, they ain't standing
by God.

Speaker 3 (17:47):
They looking at one anothers you want to see what
each other is wearing. And I want to see how
good each other is all getting it, all of it.
But but you go to the nursing home. Oh, they
get that praise on up in the nursing home. For
really they do. They do? They get that, they get
that praise all be saying when you're coming back.

Speaker 5 (18:05):
Right your heart, well that's true. Yea yearning for it,
yearning for it, yeah, you know. So.

Speaker 3 (18:12):
So the thing is, and and uh, the Bible said,
if you lend to the poor, you lend to God.

Speaker 5 (18:18):
That's right.

Speaker 3 (18:19):
You know, he said, what do you do to the
least of these? My brotherre and you do also under me,
you know. So, so I go to the nurse home
and and I do about six a month, you know.

Speaker 2 (18:31):
And uh, and I do an hour show every time
I go, because because because when I go, I want
to fill their plate up so they'll have something to
to to. You know, they can stop the gravy while
I'm gone.

Speaker 3 (18:45):
You know, you have left over.

Speaker 5 (18:47):
They have leftovers.

Speaker 2 (18:48):
Yeah, that what I'm talking about, because because I take
them a whole Look when I go, I take them
a gumboat.

Speaker 5 (18:54):
That's right.

Speaker 3 (18:55):
That's right, little country, look, contemporary, little wrap. We do
it all, you know. And so uh but I just
enjoyed blessing the Lord like that. So so so my minished.

Speaker 2 (19:08):
My our ministry should never be about winning awards or
being in competition with one another.

Speaker 3 (19:17):
It should simply be about bringing souls to Christ. That's right. Yeah,
one a chord.

Speaker 5 (19:22):
We should be on one accord.

Speaker 3 (19:24):
I would like, you know, look, telling people how they
can find your music.

Speaker 5 (19:29):
Oh, you can find my music on all digital platforms
at Spotify, Amazon Music, YouTube, Apple Music, wherever your digital
platforms are that you choose to use. You can find
my music.

Speaker 3 (19:43):
Now, do you have a website?

Speaker 5 (19:45):
Uh, Sondra Busby at music prosite dot com.

Speaker 3 (19:49):
Okay, all right, give them that one more time.

Speaker 5 (19:51):
Sondra Busby at music prosite dot com.

Speaker 2 (19:55):
Okay, all right, because because that that website is going
to be, it's gonna be a powerful tool for you.

Speaker 3 (20:02):
Okay. I'm speaking this into existence for sure.

Speaker 2 (20:05):
Because once you start putting that thunder Buzzby merchandise out there,
you know, I mean, you know, it's gonna help your
ministry to grow, you know. And I thank you for
coming being with me around God's Throng. You know, it's
been a pleasure.

Speaker 5 (20:21):
You know.

Speaker 3 (20:22):
We're gonna get together again. Yeah, we're gonna again, you know,
but for right now, ladies, and I'm listen, you know
what we do.

Speaker 2 (20:32):
I need you to call that someone that you haven't
talked to for a while and just tell them to say, look,
I'm sorry, I.

Speaker 3 (20:38):
Love you God.

Speaker 2 (20:40):
The God in me loves the God in you, and
I want us to get together, you know, and hash
this thing out so that we can walk.

Speaker 3 (20:47):
Into glory together.

Speaker 2 (20:48):
Amen, because look that God told us to love one another.
Let's be guilty of doing what God told us to do. Amen,
Let's open our hearts and our minds and receive the
word of God, the love of God, and let that
love flow between us, you know, so that so that
we can raise our children with an understanding that love
is the key, you know. And so now missus buzzing, Yes,

(21:13):
we're gonna have to go and have to get on
that country number together. And I tell your husband, say,
I met this old country boy. We're gonna have to
We're gonna have to do something.

Speaker 5 (21:19):
Now. I'm looking forward to it. I'm serious, I'll be
looking forward to it.

Speaker 3 (21:25):
So, Okay, I'm from Louisiana, so I'm comforting to my heart,
you know.

Speaker 5 (21:29):
So I don't think I don't think you're getting no
more country than me. Were way down in the sound
that is out.

Speaker 3 (21:38):
Praise the Lord. That's what I like about it. It's
down home straight with God.

Speaker 5 (21:43):
That's right down straight for God.

Speaker 3 (21:46):
Amen.

Speaker 2 (21:46):
Amen, I thank you again and U at this time,
ladies and gentlemen, thank you for being with us around
God's throng.

Speaker 3 (21:53):
I'll see you next time. Love you see soon.
