Major Espinoza shared the mission and impact of The Salvation Army, which has been serving the Green Valley community since 1997. Tammy provided updates on current services and programs aimed at helping those facing hardship, including seasonal outreach, food support, and assistance for seniors and families in crisis.
She also discussed summer services offering shelter and cooling relief, as well as the Back-to-School Backpack Campaign, which helps local children start the school year prepared. The Kids Care Fair is scheduled for July 26th from 8 AM to 1 PM at Sahuarita Intermediate School, where backpacks and family resources will be distributed.
The episode also highlighted volunteer opportunities and how community members can get involved with The Salvation Army’s mission.
