Speaker 1 (00:03):
Child wounded by rejection, incest, molestation, emotional, physical, and sexual
abuse can become an adult functioning in childish ways, not
being able to put away childish things. Listen to arrested
development ministries and hear the hearts of victims who have

(00:27):
become victims and sufferers who are now survivors. Learn what
great things God can do for you to heal your
heart wherever you hurt.

Speaker 2 (00:38):
The most asked question about what we do is what

(01:26):
is life skills?

Speaker 3 (01:27):
Well, I have my way of explaining life skills.

Speaker 4 (01:31):
You ask what is life skills? That is a very
loaded question, what is life skills? Because every time I
describe skills, I feel like I'm only describing just Even
when I described I feel I'm only describing just a
little bit.

Speaker 5 (01:44):
I generally tell them it's a way to unpack the
baggage you brought into adulthood.

Speaker 6 (01:50):
I say, it's looking at the arrested development issues that
have driven our behavior, that get us or cause us
to do all the crazy things we never understand why
we do.

Speaker 4 (02:03):
I always like to describe it as me being a
football player. When I first came into the NFL, I
had God given speed. You can't coach that I had
god given speed. I had one of the fastest get
off with football where I can get off the ball
really fast and get around the corner and get to
the quarterback. Now, my coach said, rough taber or you
know something. You have something that I can't coach. You
have speed, you got agility, you got some stuff. But

(02:25):
there's some things you lack. You lack skills. I'm gonna
give you the skills. You put your skills and your
god given the ability, you're gonna be a great player.
So life skills have now allowed me to get to
the quarterback more because now I have the skills. When
I get into a situation which conflict is gonna happen,
I had the skills to deal with it. I know
how to work it as positives, a win win situation

(02:46):
with both persons and the person's intact and we can
attack the problem.

Speaker 2 (02:50):
That's what we should have learned in a balanced function
of home from birth to eighteen to twenty one years
of age, and since there's no manual to raise children
and every family leaves something out. How to manage my emotions,
my anger, my pain, those type of things. How to communicate,

(03:10):
how to resolve my anger, how to in relationships, watching
functional parents as they resolve issues, as they communicate back
and forth. So all through the program, we've developed exercises
and worksheets, and it's video driven and shows us what
is normal. Basic claim with that we're seeing tremendous change

(03:34):
people that have come out of decent homes and have
not been wounded as children and been even healthy. People
say that you can go through the Life Stole program
and learn so much that it's unbelievable. So we break
what's called the repetition compulsion or the cycle of the family,
type of issues that go from generation to generation.
