and I'm going to take you through Psalms one thirty
nine and talk a little bit about the verses that
you've maybe heard preached about. And then I'm going to
take you way out in an area that you've never
heard preached, in an area that I have never preached.
I do it for devotions and for an encouragement to

help us realize that we serve a sovereign God. And
that's the whole bottom line of our walk with Christ.
As he is sovereign if we'll let him be. He's
sovereign if we won't let him be. But I've been
studying the brain, and the interesting thing about the brain
is in the third week in the womb, the brain
of the new newly conceived child is emitting electrical impulses,

and by the sixth month, the subconscious and the heart
and the brain is working receiving language. And Luke One
tells us that when Gabriel appeared to Mary and Mary,
it says, in the fifth month of Elizabeth's pregnancy, Gabriel
appeared to Mary and told her she was going to
bear the Christ child, and Mary pondered this in her heart.

Two verses later, it says, in the sixth month of
Elizabeth's pregnancy, Mary went to Elizabeth and greeted Elizabeth, and
John the Baptist leaped for joy in Elizabeth's womb. But
what's happening is not only do the words we say
register in the heavenlies, and every word in the scripture
is clear on this. Every word that we say is

being recorded. But he also says, even our thoughts are
being recorded. God knows our thoughts. And one of the
things that I've found in working with people over the
years is every person has a parasitic weakness that could
cause that person to sin. We come to Christ and
God delivers us from sin, but there's something that will

keep reoccurring that we could fall into if we don't
watch it, and it could be anything from sexual sin,
to pride, to greed, to manipulation, control, those kind of things,
and it's kind of parasitic to us, and we have
to really be aware of that when people are doing
things in the darkness thinking they're hiding from God. Darkness
(03:34):
is part of our dimension, but when it's dark to us,
God sees everything. It's light to him. He does not
see darkness. So the things that are being done in
secret in the middle of the night, God sees it
with a spotlight of his light, and so there's no
place to hide, even in our secret sins. He understands.
He knows our secret sins.
