Speaker 1 (00:00):
Creativity is an addiction, unplugged because we will always say
yes to creativity, totally uncut because we all make mistakes.
So let's turn it into a tool. This is arrow unplugged.
Ernie is a Blue Crown conyer. For over thirty years,
he's overlooked this forest right here in South Charlotte, North Carolina.
Every day Ernie sits in his beautiful home, overlooking the trees,
(00:21):
the nearby lake, and every bit the wildlife. Strolling through
such an amazing place of peace. Ernie and I share
the same vision. It's this forest. We both look into
the trees and study the earth below. There's something very
spiritual going on here. The lyrics to Ernie's Forest, we
both receive an amazing amount of energy. I put all
of my trust and skills as a student into what
(00:42):
he is willing to share with me. These aren't my words,
these are the lyrics from Ernie's Forest, Chapter number four
hundred and five. December twenty fifth, twenty twenty three, Christmas Day.
So naked, the trees remain, yet so sturdy, they stand
reaching for the sky. The deer are a amazingly playful
this new sun. They're truly becoming a major part of
(01:03):
our daily plan, just like they once were before the
humans arrived. They have no problems roaming from the lake,
up the creek, and across many many more hills to
collections of water. They know the art of survival and
always seem to chuckle when Jazzy and I enter their
winter wonderland bundled up in Christmas jammys. Maybe they're just
laughing at us. They bounce around, kicking up their heels.
(01:26):
Oh my god, human ah stop. Along with the naked
forest trees, these deer are so much a major part
of this family. We're waiting for spring to fall. Witness
to all of their babies, taking the time to watch
what is around you. You don't have to have a forest,
you don't have to have a city park. You just
have to understand that everything around you is part of
(01:49):
the story. You may feel like the narrator at times,
but the majority of the time you're the receiver. You're
the one that's accepting everything that's taking place. Getting to
that point of t t truth and trust is a
tough journey for a lot of people because we don't
always want the world that we're living in. We want
to redefine where it is that we're planting our feet,
(02:09):
but taking the time to accept what is and not
what could be, might be, should be, but it really wasn't.
That's taking too much energy from your personal life and
you're not going to get that time back. So being
real with your moment of now. Could be a forest,
it could be just a lake, it could be just
(02:29):
a city street where there's a lot of traffic and
you just happen to be just one little thing that's
happening in that moment of now. Accepting that as you're now.
It's a very tough game to play because a lot
of people don't want to live in there now. They
want to live in their past, or they want to
invest in a future that may never really happen the
way that you want it to, which is one of
(02:50):
the reasons why when people say, what's your five year plan,
what's your ten year plan, we're talking about now. I'm
not going to predict what really will probably never happen.
I'm eryl This aren't my words. These are the lyrics
from Ernie's Forest
