Speaker 1 (00:00):
Creativity is an addiction, unplugged because we will always say
yes to creativity, totally uncut because we all make mistakes.
So let's turn it into a tool. This is Arrow unplugged.
I'm always asking questions. The reason why is because the
fund begins when you start researching for answers such as
what's next? You just receive that call about your pet
it's been injured. What's next? Plus during these days of uncertainty,
(00:24):
what's the best way to handle our anxiety? My name
is Arrow. I'm a daily writer, a silent wolf. That
means I stand on the sidelines and do nothing but watch, listen, study,
then activate. I call it the daily Mess, a chronological
walk through an everyday world. Yep, it's my morning pages.
As a receiver of thoughts and ideas, we tend to
throw things to the side and deal with it later. Well,
(00:44):
when a subject arrives inside of me, I know it's
time to dig in. It's still keeping that daily journal,
but by doing the research, the picture becomes clearer. This
is the daily Mess. I got the call shortly after
seven pm last evening. My dog's right paw had and
there seem to be a cut on the pad of
that right foot right away. You go into over protective
(01:06):
mode because dogs and pets these days, for us, they
are our children. But what is the right protocol. The
first step, according to the professionals, is to gather as
much information as you can get. The goal is to
stay calm. Your anxiety as a pet owner will bring
fear to your pet. The questions you should be asking
are what happened, how severe is it? Where is the
(01:29):
pet located? Right now? Get on the phone with a
family vet and follow their directions. If it's difficult to
bring your pet in, it's very common for families to
call nine to one one to get an ambulance to
your house. Again, stay calm. Dogs and cats read you
like a book. While transporting your baby, cover them up
with a blanket. It's security. Be prepared to answer a
(01:51):
lot of questions and do all you can to follow
your vet's instructions. Hey, coming up next, what is the
best way to handle all of this stress? Thanks for
coming back to the daily mess. What's the best way
to handle stress? It involves a combination of lifestyle adjustments,
(02:12):
relaxation techniques, and social support. Sleep and exercise are also
very important here, as is a well balanced diet. But
that's just too easy to say, because you know, when
we're all messed up in the head, when we're whacked out, what, yeah,
we want to eat everything. Mindfulness practices such as meditation
and deep breathing help calm the nervous system. Please do
(02:34):
all you can to keep in touch with family members
and friends. Other helpful stressless strategies include the physical act
of identifying your stressors. Oh yeah, be open and upfront
what is triggering you. Time management is also helpful. Plan
out your days and prioritize your decisions. Set boundaries. I
mean it is totally okay to tell somebody no, no,
(02:56):
I'm not doing it. No, break down your problems. I
call it defragging. That means ask the questions and then
question the answers. No matter what, You've got to find
room to forgive yourself. Do all you can in that
moment to be filled with gratitude. Through forgiveness, there is
always going to be less anxiety. I'm Marrow and that's
(03:17):
the daily mess.
