Speaker 1 (00:00):
Creativity is an addiction, unplugged because we will always say
yes to creativity, totally uncut because we all make mistakes.
So let's turn it into a tool. This is arrow unplugged.
Ernie is a Blue Crown conyer. For over thirty years,
he's overlooked his forest right here in South Charlotte, North Carolina.
Every day, Ernie sits in his beautiful home, overlooking the trees,

(00:21):
the nearby lake, and every bit of the wildlife. Strolling
through such an amazing piece of land. Ernie and I
share the same vision. It's this forest. We both look
into the trees and study the earth below. There's something
very spiritual going on here. The lyrics to Ernie's Forest,
we both receive an amazing amount of energy. I put

(00:42):
all of my trust and skills as a student into
what he is willing to share with me. These aren't
my words, These are the lyrics from Ernie's Forest, Chapter
number four hundred and six, December thirtieth, twenty twenty three.
Naked are these trees? No leaves plays with my mind,
kind of making you wonder what they see in us.

(01:04):
Our limbs have always been without winter collectors and shade providers.
Rarely do you see the deer or squirrels coming near
are constantly growing roots and trunks. Maybe that's why trees
don't speak to us. Who are we in this kingdom
of assumed peace? Where do we get our food from
a tree? Or squirrel doesn't know we somehow show up

(01:26):
in their world? What if we're seeing as the wild,
untamed animal inside their world? So much could be written
about these visions and decisions. I think the only thing
we run away from are snakes, spiders in each other,
All this while the six point buck stands in this
forest patiently eating things that the human eye just really
can't see. Maybe it's the experience of truly being free.

(01:52):
What is that feeling to be free? Because do you
feel like you're trapped? Is your business keeping you from
doing what you really want to do? Has the financial
world crashed enough where you're going, Ah, I can't do it,
I can't afford it. I mean, look at the way
that people's lawns have changed because the price of water
is so high. Do you feel free in your moment

(02:13):
of every day and right now? And if you don't
feel free, how can we get back to it? Or
is it even possible. So many people have relied on
their social media connections as well as digital devices to
be that place of creating freedom. And yet I speak
with psychologists and psychotherapists all over the place because I'm
encouraged to explore the idea of where people are growing

(02:35):
and how can we get them back to this place
called free. When I walk outside to this forest and
I step within that world, I'm just a visitor. Just
because I pay the taxes and I have the land,
that doesn't mean it's my world. It's their world. And
being free of that means given it to them. And
that's why this force was given life. It's because it's

(02:59):
their force, not my forest. I am just a bystander.
So what can we do in your personal life to
do the same exact thing to be a bystander? Yet
you'll be the one that will finance what needs to happen,
and you'll be the one that will sit back and
watch as their visions mother nature come into play. Or
does it have to be what you want which is

(03:20):
something that came from home, depot or lows learning how
to be free? I'm a daily writer, I defrag in journals.
I bring things to this surface by way of seeking
that feeling of just being free. Where do you go
so that you can one day grow? I'm Eryl. These

(03:42):
are not my words. These are the lyrics from Ernie's Forest.
